After the attacks stopped for some time reports came of a bigger attack from similar creatures, seems they came further out of wherever they are hiding. The knights have been asked to help stop the creatures before the city is overwhelmed.

Taiyo Vermillion - My Burning Passion is to be the Best!
It had been a while since Taiyo heard anything of the Minotaurs. Whether that was because of them being fully gone or due to them hiding, Taiyo had forgotten about them. He was much stronger than he was back then and would crush the Minotaurs that he and Lydia fought effortlessly should he encounter them again. What they didn’t know was that the Minotaurs had returned and were stronger and had started attacking areas in Sosshi village. People cried out and prayed for the Magic Knights’ help as their home was destroyed. In desperation, they pleaded to be left alone. The village head wrote a request for help to the Magic Knights.
The next day, Taiyo walked into the Crimson Lions’ Headquarters and stopped at the mission board. A certain mission speaking about Minotaurs caught his eye. ”I thought we took care of those beasts a while ago. I guess I’ll take this mission and crush them.” The young heir took the mission from the board and started to leave. What was it about Sosshi village that made them the target of the beasts? The last time he was there, he had asked for Lydia’s help but this time he would do it himself. He didn’t need any help for this one. Hopefully, this time would be the last time these beasts attack the village. Hopping on his broom, Taiyo flew towards the building. During the last visit, Laric had told him about the creature, one that he regarded as a beast of a tale but his former vice-captain told him that there were some truths to the tales created. After facing them the first time, this time he knew they were real and he was going to show them real pain. It was not every day Taiyo felt merciless but when he did, he was ready to destroy his opponent no matter what. This was a trait he developed over his time as a Magic Knight as he realized that he couldn’t be naive if he wanted to be a good leader.
When he landed, he saw the state the place was in and that angered him greatly. Houses were destroyed completely, some were scorched and others were barely standing. He walked around, seeing the people looking at him. Their eyes told their story. They were attacked and their homes destroyed. There was nothing they could do and that made them feel hopeless. As he continued looking around, he saw a familiar face. Laric was there, injured severely. ”Laric, did you try to defend the village by yourself?”
The man looked up and saw Taiyo. He groaned as he barely sat up. ”Lord Vermillion, I did what I had to do!” Between his words, he coughed. ”I did it to save a child. I was no match for it but the child escaped.” He reached out to the Magic Knight heir. ”Save us… Like you did before.” His hand fell limp as he went unconscious.
”Leave it to me, Laric. When I find them I will make them pay!” Taiyo turned and tried to follow the path of destruction in order to find the area where the beasts were last seen. It was going to take some time but he was going to find them and then he was going to put them six feet under. There were dead people laying on the ground by the entrance of their houses. There were more in the middle of the road. Some were dismembered and others were sliced in half completely. It was tragic and they had to pay for taking so many lives. The Day Before
The villagers were going on about their day when there was a thunderous howl. “All men will fear us! We will crush you all!” The ground shook as loud stomps accompanied the shaking. “You will face us and you will die! You stand no chance against our power!” The Minotaurs appeared, stomping down hard against the floor.
The people banded together and tried to use their spells to stop the beasts but they were way too weak to even leave a scratch. Angered, one of the Minotaurs charged forward and slammed his axe into the torso of a man, ripping him in half immediately. After the attack, he howled loudly which caused many to run in fear.
Laric saw one of them going after a child that had fallen when trying to run. It was either save the child and die or let the child die and live. Grabbing one of the shields and a blade, Laric rushed over and defended the child. The shield was destroyed in one swoop. Luckily, it was enough time for the child to get away. In the next attack, Laric tried to parry with the blade but he ended up being sent flying into the walls of the village church. The Minotaur laughed thunderously while showing off his axe. “Who’s next?!” Discouraged, the people gave up and resorted to begging and pleading.
“Don’t destroy our home! Don’t destroy us!” They cried out.
“This is the day of reckoning! Your champions killed our brothers and didn’t have any mercy so why should we?” The leader of the trio asked as he charged at a couple of houses, taking out anyone who stood in the way. “You are weak and you will fall!” He then slammed his giant axe down into the stables that were beneath him, destroying them completely. “What do you have to say for yourselves?!”
“Please! Spare us! We are innocent people.” A few people begged and pleaded.
One of the Minotaurs laughed and charged at another building, knocking over a flame, and setting the area ablaze. “It’s good that you know that you are nothing compared to us! Look at this glorious destruction.”
While the Minotaurs continued their destruction, the priest of the church wrote a request for the Magic Knights to help them. He sent it off and prayed that they would be saved. Present Day Taiyo continued walking towards the fields of grass ahead. The only thing on his mind was getting justice for the people. After walking for a while, he decided to take a break. He took a seat and got into a meditative position. He thought back to the time he fought the Minotaurs with Lydia. He tried to think of their tactics back then.
Flashback to that time Taiyo and Lydia would continue their journey until there was a thunderous howl. “All men will fear me! I will crush you all!” The beast had showed up and drew its ax. “You will not just face me, you will face us! We have you outnumbered.” As he spoke, multiple Minotaur showed up, surrounding the two magic knights. “We will destroy you.”
Immediately, Taiyo opened the clip that restricted his grimoire from hovering at his side. Once the book began floating at his side, it opened and started turning pages until it landed on his primary spell. Solar Magic: Solaris Illumination! Solar energy engulfed the boy before dissipating and forming at his palm. Focusing on the first Minotaur, The Vermillion heir fired his attack watching the beam fly at the beast. As the blast traveled, the beam sparkled and heat generated from the blast. Seeing an opening to use another blast, he fired it at a second Minotaur which didn’t take any extra mana from him. Both beams hit their targets which put a smile on the young Crimson Lions cub face. If they were going to fight with axes then all he had to do was stay out of their range and if he did get in their range, he just had to take them down faster than they could strike. As the blast dwindled and disappeared, both Minotaurs had fallen. Taiyo had defeated two of the twelve beasts like they weren’t even a threat.
How about that? You claim that you will destroy us but is that the best you got? I found that really underwhelming. Taiyo’s grimoire would stop glowing as he wouldn’t be attacking again just yet. He was waiting on Lydia to make her move. What kind of person would he be if he stole all of the fun, especially after inviting her to tag along the mission? Sure this wouldn’t even be a warm up for her but that didn’t mean anything.
The pink-haired mage would sense all twelve Minotaurs before the first one even appeared. She however didn't want to say anything in order to see however the vermillion would react. Besides from what she could sense they weren't a major threat that if Taiyo froze up would put him at risk with her being there. To the vermilion's heirs credit he was quick to attack, taking out two of them before getting a little cocky. ”Careful with that cocky attitude you only took out two. Not that it matters I'll take care of the rest.”
With that the glass mage would take the greatsword off her back holding it in her right hand leaving her left free. Before the third Minotaur could even figure out what was happening Lydia would already be in front of it. The creature didn't even have to think about what happened as her sword quickly cut its head off killing it. The fourth Minotaur who was right next to the one Lydia just killed would try and attack Lydia with its ax. However, the light mage would catch the ax by its handle before stabbing her sword into its chest killing it. The fifth and sixth ones would try to attack the solar mage at the same time. However, the former vice-captain would throw her greatsword like a spear at the fifth one, the sword stabbing into its neck killing it.
She would then throw the ax that she caught at the sixth one embedding the ax into the creature's head, killing it as well. The seventh one would try its luck with its horns trying to stab them into Lydia. However, the Ravencrest would catch the Minotaur by its horns sliding back a bit as it was trying to keep charging. However, Lydia would then kick its left leg and a crack was able to be heard as its leg broke. She would then break off both of its horns, stabbing one into its eye killing it and keeping the second one as a make-shift weapon. Lydia would then rush towards her sword but was blocked by the eighth Minotaur. The vice-captain however would just slide under its attack stabbing the leftover horn into its leg causing the creature to cry out in pain as it fell to the ground.
Lydia would then finish it off by snapping its neck before grabbing her sword eyeing the last four. Actually Taiyo you take care of two more Minotaurs.” As the ninth one ran at her and swung its ax at her she would easily sidestep it cutting the creature's arm off before stabbing her sword into its side hitting a lung and its heart as she angled the blade up killing it. Lydia would then quickly roll out of the way of the tenth Minotaur as it tried to hit the pink-haired mage with its attack. Lydia would then quickly counter with a kick to both of its legs breaking them. As the creature fell to the ground Lydia would grab it by both hands before using her strength to rip its head off. She would then walk back over to her sword picking it back up.
Taiyo would smile and the pages of his grimoire would flip, heading to his next spell. ”Solar Magic: Solaris Fist!” As he dashed at the 11th Minotaur, His fist would glow and glimmer while mana three times the size of his actual fist would manifest. Without hesitation the Vermillion heir would drive his fist into the beast, the force of impact killing it immediately while sending its corpse into the 12th. Before the 12th could recover, Taiyo ran at him while using the same attack to finish him. With all 12 of the Minotaurs dead, Taiyo would return to Lydia who had just retrieved her sword.
”That was the last of them. Let's head back.” Present Day
Taiyo stood up. ”This time I’ll take you all down myself and show you and everyone else that I don’t need her help.” He started walking again, heading the Minotaurs in the distance. He kept walking towards them until he was in their area. ”Seriously, they’re only three of you? Doesn’t matter. I’ll kill you all.”
Thunderous laughter erupted from the trio but what they didn’t know was they were no match for the Vermillion heir. With his grimoire open, he looked at them and yelled out. ”Cosmic Creation Magic: Cosmic Planetoid!” He raised both of his hands to the sky as a rocky formation was created. Before the Minotaurs could attack him, he brought the planetoid down on them, crushing them completely. The trio perished immediately.
After returning to the village to give them the good news, he saw them looking at him with thankful eyes. The priest walked up to him and started sobbing, thanking him. “Thank you for making time to save us from those beasts and savages, Lord Vermillion. Without you Magic Knights protecting us, we would surely perish.”
Taiyo gave the priest a smile. ”You have no need to thank me. What those beasts had done was unforgivable and they paid the price. It is our sworn duty as Magic Knights to aid the people of the Clover Kingdom. The next step is not only rebuilding but also putting systems in place to prevent an attack on this scale from happening again.”
Taiyo slowly walked over to where Laric laid. ”You were brave out there. You saved a kid’s life even though you could have died. I will make sure that you get a good recovery.” The boy looked up at the sky and frowned. ”It would be good to have healing magic right about now.”
After speaking with some of the other villagers, he returned to the Crimson Lions’ Headquarters. After returning, he let his superiors know of the mission and how he handled it. Sitting, he was joined by his sister, Leona Vermillion. ”If it isn’t my little brother! What are you up to? I haven’t seen you around which means you were either busy with the politics of the family or you were out on some mission.”
”Well, it’s the latter. I had a little problem in Sosshi village that I had to take care of. During my first couple of months as a Magic Knight, Lydia and I took on some Minotaurs and I thought that they were taken care of but it seems that they are back and they destroyed the area. I personally went since I would have been there last time. This time, I didn’t waste any time with the beasts. I dropped a planet on them.” Taiyo’s face was serious and his voice was calm. He had just mercilessly crushed his enemy yet he was calm about it.
”Sounds terrible. It’s good to hear that you’ve gotten that strong.” She gave him her signature grin. ”I’d say you’re almost ready to be the head of the family. Just don’t do anything stupid when you take the position or else I’ll knock some sense into you.” She grinned more and gave him a light punch on his hand.
Those with this perk may use offensive spells to further buff themselves. See Attack Creation Spec Guide for more information.

Rank & Element: Junior Class & Type: Accessory Magic Specializations: N/A Appearance & Lore: The Magic Knight Mantle is an Item that Magic Knights wear to show the Squad that they are in. Each Squad has a different color Mantle along with its own squad logo as well. When these items were built they were made out of special material. A material that allows them to be unbreakable from any sort of attack, but does not block the wearer from any attacks. Magic Knights of the Clover Kingdom have worn these Mantles for Hundreds of Years. Abilities:
Rank & Element: Junior Class & Type: Magical ¦ Weapon Magic Specializations: Physical Reinforcement Appearance & Lore: The alliance between the Vermilion and the Ravencrest has been one that was said to have been in place since Clover even existed and one of the strongest that still stands to this day. The young Vermilion heir has shown himself to be lackluster within certain arts many nobles are taught since childhood. This, however, didn't mean he didn't want to make up for his shortcomings and so requested the head of the Ravencrest to become his tutor when it came to the art of swordplay.
Upon their first lesson, the pink-haired head of the Ravencrest couldn't believe just what kind of blade he decided to turn up with and strapped to his back no less. She was less than impressed and so had a new longsword crafted using the techniques only known to those within the family, upon completion Lydia gifted the sword to her student in the hopes he would start to understand his role within the family and the appearances that he had to keep due to it.
This blade of the sword is black with golden accents across the fuller of the sword. The grip is long and carries a pummel at the bottom while the crossguard has a blue diamond in the center. The scabbard of the sword also keeps with the color scheme of black with gold accents. The blade of the sword is 44 inches long while the grip is 8 inches long. The sword is weighed at 4 lb.
Type & Uses: Flow ¦ 3 uses ¦ 2 cooldown Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Physical Reinforcement Mana Cost: 8 ¦ 4 Range & Speed: self | 10 m/s Stats Affected: Junior Strength Buff Description: As mana is poured into the sword, the golden letters on the blade begin to glow and a bright sparkling aura surrounds the holder of the sword. Heat emanates from the holder as long as the ability is active, causing minor 1st degree burns to anyone who is in a 1 foot radius.
Rank & Element: Senior ¦ Weapon (Longsword) Class & Type: Imbued ¦ Cosmic Magic Specializations: Attack Creation ¦ Physical Reinforcement Appearance & Lore: This weapon is an unusual one, crafted by the ClearBlade family out of a single piece of tempered ice, outside of that they didn't give details other than how to activate it, element, specializations, and what it could do. They also informed us that there is room for growth though it can not be further tempered or it will be broken. The sword itself from tip to tip is 130cm (51 inches) the blade alone is 110cm (43 inches) long making the hilt 20cm (8 inches) in length.
Unlike most longswords, this one seems far lighter only weighing 0.07 kilograms (1.6lbs) meaning it could take some time to get used to handling properly if you are used to heavier weapons. The sword itself almost looks like it has been infused with lava and has sharp points at certain parts of the blade. The blade also has large portions missing, this may make the sword seem flimsy and easily breakable but this isn't the case, the sword has been designed to be a disarming weapon if not to break the blade of other swords trapped within those missing portions.
As long as you have the required element this item can have additional abilities added to it, however, it can not have its rank increased.
Name of the Ability: Northern Star Type & Uses: Trigger ¦ 6 Uses Rank & Specialization: Senior ¦ Attack Creation ¦ Physical Reinforcement Mana Cost: 24 Per Trigger ¦ 45 Recharge Range & Speed: 80m ¦ 40 m/s Stats Affected: +4 Power, +5 m/s Description: This weapon is a strange one as it needs to be put into a semi-active state which is done by the wielder touching the top of the hilt, the instant this is done a gentle warmth seems to come from the blade and a slight glow. To use one of the triggers the wielder need only utter the word "Burst" at the point of hitting the opponent or when swinging if further away. Either way, it will create a shooting star that is 6m in diameter that will deal senior rank damage to anyone it hits as well as doing severe frostbite and moderate hypothermia. With the use of the ammo rules, additional shooting stars can be created as long as the wielder has enough control to do so. In addition to this, the wielder will also feel lighter on their feet allowing them to move +5 m/s faster.
