Maria looked around at the rest of the contestants. None of them seemed to be looking to spar for the last optional part. It was a bummer because she wanted to ensure she did everything she could to succeed. Thus there was only one thing left to do. She would have to suck up her nervousness and challenge one of the Captains or Vice Captains. Who knows what would happen as a result. Maybe they would go full force on her and completely dominate her. Maybe they would go easy and mess with her the whole time. If she was lucky, they would let her make her best attempt before putting her down. Nobody what happen it was a losing situation but what choice did she have. Also, just imagine if she actually managed to beat one. The crowd would be cheering. One of the squads would have to accept her. Also, her mother would be proven wrong right there and then. If she lose, then nothing happens but if she wins, then its immediate success. So, with that in mind she submitted her request to challenge the Black Bulls Captain. Now all she could do is hope that faith would be kind to her.

Malcolm watched the small little fights that were going on about the Magic Knight exams…so far he was not overly impressed, but as it stood…this was likely to be his last go around as captain, as he knew that a subordinate of his named Griswold was gunning for the top spot. Regardless, he was looking for a mage with some backbone…that is when the submission was brought to Malcolm for a duel against him, and honestly he wanted to reject it right then as this person formally requested the fight…it was totally not his style…yet he was reminded of Advent and sighed before his usual bravado flair of taking a step from the booth and then down into the stands, before finally hopping down to the arena floor. He even interrupted a match for this fight as he held the letter…
“Maria Wilhelm…get your ass out here and fuckin’ challenge me like an actual prospect of the Black Bulls would…I don’t have time for these formal requests.” He said as he crumpled the submission and waited.
There was no response. Was she rejected? Was she deemed too weak? The girl clenched her fist realizing this was a mistake. Only to hear the crowd suddenly gasp. A loud booming voice called her name, the same name that made her clench. She had to bare it though. To show weakness on such a scale was suicide for someone in her position. In fact, showing weakness in an environment like this would risk her not being selected period. So with a deep breath she walked out. There she saw the Black Bull Captain agitated at her challenge. Formality was not his strong suit and well, she did not exactly disagree with him. However, she was not acting for herself. She was acting as a Wilhelm, as a member of high society. Still, if he had a problem with that then what else did she have to lose.
"Fine!" She hit her right leg with her right hand to form Sapphire on her legs. Then she slammed her fist together to form amber over her fist and feet. She covered her head with her hood. Then charged forward into the Arena towards the man. "I want to fight you Captain of the Black Bulls!" Without pause, she would move towards the man at her full running speed and prepare herself to strike the man with a heavy left punch.

Name of Spell: Sapphire's Swiftness Elemental Type: Gemstone Rank & Spell Type: Junior | Physical Reinforcement Range & Speed: Self Mana Cost: 10 | 5 Stats Effected: +7 m/s Applicable Perks: Full Blitz Description: The caster hits their right leg with their right hand. A streak of sapphire, no thicker than 2.5cm, grows on the users skin and clothes on the outer end of their legs and stops at their ankles. This makes the caster more much quicker by buffing their movement.
