Sosshi. It is so funny to Thaddeus that each time that he had ended up out here, as of late, that he has had to escort someone from one location to another whilst protecting their goods. While it clearly wasn't a good thing that this was needed so often, he couldn't help but find it ironic that his current task was quite similar to the one that he had received the last time that he had been out here. Unlike last time however, he was being asked to escort goods from this city to another in place of the Magic Knights. Were the Magic Knights in this area just not up to snuff or something? Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that the Magic Knight Exams were supposed to be currently happening. There must have been far too many Magic Knights that were interested in the newcomers than there were on those that were actually dedicated to their work. Or at least that was what he had been assuming was happening in this moment. Honestly, he couldn't really tell.

Regardless of what the reason had been, Thaddeus had currently been tasked with transporting a cart full of good from this city to the next. As long as he is able to assist the merchants in transporting their goods from point A to point B without the goods being damaged, he was sure that everything would be fine. Thankfully Thaddeus had grown in the time that he had last been here. The magics that he had used to defend the merchants prior, with that whole tomato fiasco, had managed to grow up to Intermediate Tier Magic and that was far better than most people would assume. The leap in strength from then until now had been almost as separate as light and day. Of course that didn't mean that he wasn't about to  utilize the same magics that he had before.

Figuring that he might as well do his best to ensure that the task at hand is completed, Rhydian would step off to the side of the wagon. Once there, the Spring Deacon would run through two very quick steps. He would start by patting on his chest with the side of his left hand whilst stating his own name aloud. "Thaddeus." Upon stringing together this action and stating his own name, a slab of Carbon Matter would appear before the Spring Deacon. Said Carbon Matter would than jut backwards towards the Spring Deacon and once the slab has managed to reach his chest, the slab itself would wrap around him and would ultimately become a suit of armor, thus outfitting them in a matter of seconds. The secondary step that Thaddeus was taking as an act of precaution was one that he had performed various times over. The most crucial step in his protection of the wagon the last time that he had been escorting someone.

Calling upon the powers dwelling within his grimoire, Thaddeus would raise his right hand in a rather dramatic fashion and would shout out the name of the creatures that he was attempting to call forth. "Oread!" Upon doing so, the carbon matter from just ahead of him would begin to shift and shape itself into a pair of 8 meter tall carbon golems. A simple mental command was all that it would take to send the towering carbon golems to the sides of the wagon. 'Follow along and be sure to defend the wagon and its inhabitants with your lives.' It may have sounded quite cruel if one were to have heard him speak within his mind but this was the purpose of these particular golems. They were to protect those that could not protect themselves. Just as he had been. If it were to come down to it, he would naturally be placing his life on the line as well.


After turning his head to face the source of the voice, Thaddeus would find himself looking upon quite the elven beauty. Naturally this was someone that he had known, given that this particular elf had been a member of the Hoard of Gnome and quite honestly his senior. "I.. I would never forget you, Drusilia. I was simply preparing for the task that lie ahead." If one were to carefully inspect the Spring Deacons words, they would find that only half of that statement had been true. He had been preparing for the task that lie ahead. The lie was that he had quite clearly forgotten that Drusilia was supposed to be accompanying him on this little task of his. While she honestly didn't need to be here with him, she had always managed to find some excuse to be around him. This wasn't exactly something that he had minded if he were being honest but it was rather interesting to take note of.

Once she had managed to cover the distance between the two of them, the spectacularly beautiful elven Priestess would throw herself over the back of the wagon and would land directly in the back beside Thaddeus. "O-oh... Well good! I didn't think that you would leave me behind anyways." Unlike Thaddeus' previous statement, her lies had been quite blatant. She had assuredly thought that Thaddeus had forgotten about her and everyone around could tell. The worry in her eyes had given away this much. Of course worrying wasn't something that he had wanted Drusilia to have to do. To ensure that she would be alright, Thaddeus would reach a single hand out towards her face before softly cupping her cheek with it. "I'm glad that you're here with me, Drusilia." The Spring Deacon would than turn away from the elven Priestess and would turn his attention towards the only thing that had mattered in this moment. Ensuring that this wagon had managed to get to its respective location without any troubles.

With the situation that the group had managed to find themselves in at the moment, Thaddeus had to think fast on what it was that he could do to ensure everyone's safety. Not only had he wished for the goods to remain protected but he was going to have to ensure that he had secured these peoples lives. It was then that he would remember what he had done the last time that he had found himself in this sort of situation. To ensure that both the goods and the inhabitants of the wagon had remained safe, Thaddeus would quickly stomp his right foot on the ground and would allow for his magic to take over. Upon doing as much, a closed off carbon dome that stands at about ten cubic meters both high and wide would burst forth from the very earth itself. This carbon dome had wrapped itself entirely around both the wagon and its inhabitants, thus ensuring that they were protected. Of course this had also resulted in the very earth itself having been quite visibly warped as about four hundred pounds worth of carbon matter had been used within this spell.

Now that everyone and everything that he had to protect was safe, Thaddeus would remove his carbon spear from over his shoulder. Without any hesitation, Thaddeus would hand off his weapon to Drusilia. "I am trusting you to handle one of the bandits." Rather than accept this weapon from him, Drusilia would simply push it back into his hands. "I am quite capable even without this weapon. Thank you for considering me though." The elven Priestess would than push herself off of the ground before rushing around the area in search of one of the bandits. Upon locating one, she would quickly close the distance between the two of them. The bandit had attempted to slash out at her with their stone axe but she had been too fast for him to hit. What would follow this would be a barrage of kicks and punches dealt to each bandits pressure points until they had lost consciousness. Drusilia wasn't formerly a Spear of Salamander for nothing.

With Drusilia having handed his weapon back to him, Thaddeus had decided to get off of the ground and scan the area for a bandit as well. Just as he was looking around for one, one of the bandits would rush towards him from behind and would attempt to bash his head in with a stone Warhammer. Unfortunately for the bandit, Thaddeus' defenses had been too high for such an attack. Having a blatant idea of where one of the bandits had now been, Thaddeus would twirl his carbon spear around in his hand and than jab the tip of it backwards, shoving it directly into the bandits leg. The pain from the blow had been enough to send the bandit into direct unconsciousness. As for the remaining two bandits that had been rushing about the field? Well these two bandits had been trying to break their way through the carbon dome that Thaddeus had just placed up. Rather than allow them to destroy it, Thaddeus would simply command the golems to knock them into unconsciousness. A simple swat from the golems is all that it would take before the fight was over. 

Now that everyone was safe, Thaddeus would command his golems to gather the bandits into one place. Once that had been done, Thaddeus would use some rope to bind each of the bandits together via their hands and feet. The carbon dome would be brought back down and would return to the earth and even the golems would eventually be sent back into the ground in which they had come from. For the remainder of the night, Drusilia and Thaddeus would follow through with their watch schedule. Night would pass as dawn would come and the group would continue on their way to the next town. With their business concluded, the ordained pair would hand the bandits over to the town guards and would begin to make preparations for their return back home.
