The curiosity of scholars have been the cause of great improvements and major leaps in the quality of life but sometimes the opposite is quite true, the Scholars of the Clover kingdom during one of their many expeditions into the underbelly of the surface uncovered a system of caves and ruins. The further they explored the colder the air got no matter how fierce they built their fires or layered their clothing; the ruins slowly grew from unmarred rock and stone to developed corridors and streets. As if they were approaching a city hidden under the ground, the paths grew more to what would be seen in the capital but what was missing was the buzz of the public and the local citizenry and was replaced with a cold, dark empty hum that seemed to unsettle even the hardened veterans of the group. Having a feeling of being watched despite the empty corridors and silent streets, the group of scholars retreated the way they came deciding it was best to have the more qualified to search and explore this discovery. Now it is up to whoever is brave enough to explore this unknown Dungeon.

FLOOR DESCRIPTION:
The entrance to the dungeon is an unassuming and nothing spectacular Cave. Inside this cave is a large and intertwining cavern system that has caused many explorers and scholars to be lost and disoriented it is suggested to have someone good with directions or sensory with the group as to mitigate the risk of being stuck in the dungeon forever.
These ghostly remains of those who have passed float aimlessly through the streets and corridors of the dungeon, they have no interest in where they are going and seem completely content with wandering through this cursed place for all of time. Typically, are very docile till they are attacked or bothered, have an extreme agitation towards anything that produces heat seemingly being angered by the lost life they once had. Unable to take damage from non-magical means.
Seeming more corpse then human with a blue-ish tint and some form of rock-like growth spreading throughout their body, these creatures seem to be re-animated by some kind of magic in the air as they wander from place to place even attack one another from time to time they will attack with a variety of weapons from their claws, teeth and random assortment of mundane weapons. These creatures hate anything living and actively search them out as if they think taking the living’s life will free them from some sort of curse.
This creature looks simply like a giant wolf in the darkest shade of black with piercing amber eyes and fangs as long as the average males’ arm. Its claws are sharp enough to rend steel as if it were parchment, it can detect things by smell with its enhanced senses. This beast is tasked with keeping intruders out of Hel’s domain and will fight to submission or death.

The cave system that the scholars used to discover this dungeon are located in the forsaken region almost hidden by the amount of overgrowth and foliage, but thankfully enough has to been cleared to make for an easy discovery of the path forward. As you enter the cave system the path forward will slowly get darker and darker the farther you go in unless you brought some item that produces light or magic that can make light. The farther you travel into the cave system navigating the path forward from the previously marked indicators on the wall, need at least 20 Sensory to notice the markings if you didn’t bring a light source of some sort. Once you have fully delved into the dungeon and the path turns from cave stone to streets and corridors there will be a chill permeating the air causing a debuff of -1m/s unless there is some source of heat or way to change the temperature applied.

As you continue to walk down the streets the temperature seems to rise to a nice spring breeze as if you were back on the surface and the need for a heat source is no more, the area around you seems to open up into fields of growing and living foliage. The stoned street is kept maintained but off to the sides as far as the eye can see are various plant life including herbs, rare specimens never seen before and some very odd wildlife but nothing bigger than a small bird can be seen. It is a dazzling sight after going through such a silent, cold, and deserted area. Though it seems that the pleasant feeling air has attracted some of the more violent denizens of this realm. Hel-Walker can be seen shambling to and for wandering as if searching for something. Passing them stealthily or disposing of them is your choice.

You pass through the fields till the warm air and amazing life seems to slowly pitter out and then suddenly the cold from before seems to come back with a vengeance as if the prior air was simply a way to lull you into a false sense of security before snapping you back into reality. The cold in the air is stronger here causing a debuff of -2m/s unless there is some source of heat or way to change the temperature applied. In the distance you can see walls stretching to seem what could be forever with only one entry way going forward, as you approach you can see the distant shape of some kind of large beast. Larger than any you have ever seen and probably will ever see in the foreseeable future. It seems that the creature is some kind of guardian of the area as it allows the various Shades to pass it. It will awaken if you get to close and begin its attack. You also notice that some of the shades have started to notice the warm air around you whether from a heat source, change in temperature or your body heat. They do not look docile anymore, get ready for some fun.

FLOOR DESCRIPTION:
Entering this floor the area opens up greatly. Though the paths forward are many they are splintered out with no guide beyond where the Shades themselves are moving. Most are moving forward on the main path and down it is a large and massive bridge that seems able to hold any amount of individuals.

This large creature bearing two ram-like horns and rough almost scaly skin like a mixture of a snake and old leather left out in the sun for to long guards the bridge that you will need to cross in order to proceed farther into the Dungeon, it uses a destroyed section of pillar covered in various runes and markings that seem to glow from time to time as if magic was flowing through it when swung. This creature is in charge of making sure only the dead actually cross the bridge and will attack anything that isn’t actually dead.

Upon defeating the large beast Garmr, you easily make your way down the entryway. Various shades move past you without a second glance while the feeling of a magnitude of eyes watching your every movement can’t be felt as your proceed. The path ahead opens up into that of a massive cavern with various paths that splinter off into the dark with no real guidance if they would help you in your quest forward. Following the path directly in front of you upon entering area would lead you to a bridge made of what looks to be Ice and Frost of the deepest blue. Upon this bridge seems to be where the majority of Shades have gathered, as you proceed it seems that some Shades have noticed the fact you are alive

Dealing with the annoyance of being mobbed on a bridge you can spot that this bit of interaction has caused quite a stir throughout the area. The appearance of Hel-Walkers on the bridge is something that is not typically common but they seem to have followed your group from the previous floor still chasing after the only thing living in these tunnels foolishly thinking it could free them from their endless wandering

x1 Màttugr Helson – The Gatekeeper
Finally the respite you have been waiting for after being borderline swarmed by every Shade or Hel-Walker. The masses seem to edge away from you after watching you decimate the large numbers of their brethren though most have moved on with their journey long before the fighting ended. Now it is time for you to continue your own journey and figuring out what was at the end of this bridge was the right way to go. After a short amount of walking you can see a large archway and an even larger creature, there doesn’t seem to be a door in the archway but there is a weird shimmer of colors that seems to change and move whenever a shade passes through it. Upon closer inspection it seems the creature holds what looks to be a chunk of a pillar covered in various carvings, the creature also seems to be diligently watching the shades as they pass by as if it was making sure they were really dead. This gatekeeper will attack anything that is alive.

FLOOR DESCRIPTION:
Making it passed the Gatekeeper takes you to the inside of a large and furnished castle, this is the same castle that you could see while on the bridge and the area is filled with various armor suits and lit torches though there seems to be no warmth coming from said torches only the light.
The accursed fallen seem to guard the inner parts of the castle being forced into servitude by some force, their attire seem to range from the disheveled bandit and vagabond to the shamed soldiers of an esteemed army. Are extremely violent towards any intruders that wander into places they are not authorized to enter like the inner castle or throne room. If not defeated within 3 turns (1) Guard Captain will join the fight.
This foe seems to be the closest to a living creature inside this dungeon, wearing the finest armor and wielding the cleanest weapons though upon closer inspection if given the chance each set of weaponry seems to be marred in some way that shows the owner’s shame and despair. These enemies tend to reside just outside the throne room and wander the halls. Only One Will join in any battle with the Armored Specter if the players are unable to defeat them within 3 turns.
The goddess of the dead, a master illusionist and someone who is said to have an eye of fire that can see any lie and secret. Hel’s appearance is not for the faint of heart; from one side she looks like a beautiful maiden in her youth full of life and vigor but split down the middle and on the opposite side her body is that of a corpse with rotting flesh and bones showing under the sagging skin. She moves with a grace that unsettles those who watch and speaks with an authority of royalty. She cares for little and even less for those who would lie and steal from her.

Passing through the gateway the space around you instantly turns from the open cavern of earlier and now as if you have walked into the entrance of a large castle. It is adorn with the sigil of Hel and various armor suits. The air is cold and unwelcoming as it has been since you entered this dungeon. Proceeding through the room will cause the suits to come alive and attack you.

Moving forward through the castle, you take note of the ancient paintings that seem to depict the history of the dungeon from the creation of what seems to be its owner to their eventually placement within this dungeon. The area is quiet and empty beyond the paintings and the placed torches that seem to only light up the area and provide no warmth themselves. At the other end of the room is a massive door with no guards or protection.

Opening the massive door leads you into the throne room and upon that throne sits a person of great height. The person will seem to speak to you inviting you inside the throne room but the voice will sound as if it comes from all around you. Moving closer to the throne allows you to see the person in full light, with the appearance of person both in the prime of life and the advanced state of decay sits a woman spilt between the two extremes. She will introduce herself as Hel, The Goddess of Death and Ruler of Helheim. Hel has the grace and presence of one that rules and no matter what way she is spoken to she will find some offence and proceed to attack the Players
Those that complete this dungeon gain the NA 'Otherworldly Equlibrium'
It had not been long since Amelia joined the church in the order of Salamander after defeating Aedolinus fire golem and saying her vows to the spirits. After that she had to say her goodbye's to Thaddeus for a bit to complete her basic nun training, Aedolinus knowing her nature as a huntress knew she would have preferred to be in the field instead of class teaching students, she had been a fighter for most her life and she would most likely die that way. Although the church of Salamander was full of competent fighters due to the regular training of the order itself, Amelia whom had been doing this most her life seemed to be able to complete the training without so much as a sweat because it had actually only been the equivalent of her morning stretches, she was just a nun by title yet the fact she had hex magic and she was stronger then the other nuns and even most priests, made them a bit afraid of her but they didn't think to act on it, Amelia was fine if they just hated her but she definitely didn't want to fight anyone in the order, she just wanted to do the right thing under it's name.
Anyway it had been only a few days before did Amelia wake up early to do her church duties and tend to the garden before a few summer priests walked up to her saying that Aedolinus, the man that tested her and was now her direct superior wanted to talk to her. Hierarchy of the Church at play Amelia knew she could not refuse and doing so would generate scorn from the others, "Very well heavenly father's, thank you for telling me and let the spirits ever guide you." Amelia said simply as she got up dusting herself off and making it towards Aedolinus office, passing the suckling of teeth and the twitch of there fists wasn't missed on her. Those of the order of Salamander truly did like to fight, others in different ways than most it seemed, she had to make sure to keep watching her back.
So to make a long story short Amelia with her ability was being trusted to undertake a mission for the order and the church itself, a rather dangerous mission that most would agree would be too dangerous for a new initiate. The situation was one that scholars that had been exploring found a cave hidden deep into the forest with markings, the cave deep they kept traveling further in and markings became roads and streets, in other words they found an entire city in a cave that was entirely empty, it was cold and apparently there was no way to offset the heat and it was dark. Aedolinus told her that the scholars got completely unsettled as they felt eyes were watching them so they decided to leave and retreat, "So Amelia, what does all this sound like to you?" the summer priest asked. "It sounds like the city had been plagued with a curse, a mighty powerful one..could be undead in there." Amelia responded with all the facts she heard, "Very good, yes, we sent a scout already to check are suspicions and it seems the inhabitants of that ruin of town have risen up as undead, spirits of anger and darkness, the church will not stand for this.
"Priest, are you asking me to investigate this?" The priest simply nodded, "Very well, I'll be going to this..what do they call it..?" The priest swallowed, "They call it the Underground Kingdom"Floor 1: Room 1 So a few days later Amelia that had arrived on using her broom than a horse was closing in on the cave area, apparently the Church hired outside help, something she knew they did from experience to help her, on the road she began to see markings and such that was leading her straight to the cave entrance, apparently made out by the scholars and a few hard workers to make finding it easier, thankfully. Amelia had prepared for the journey, if Aedolinus info held out she had decided to wear a dress that seemed light since it seemed she could not fight against the cold effect, she herself used the cold as her newly created glaive had ice hex magic installed into it, something the church did not know yet, at least hopefully.
Anyway along with her weapon Amelia had a small bag that hung over one shoulder, a small can of flammable oil, and a set of matches, if she could find some wood or stone in the cave she could most likely create a torch to see through the dark cave. that was the plan anyway, she had good senses so as long as she had good light she could probably make her way through the cave system, now all she had to do was wait for her partner..
Some time ago, back when he still had a damn clue as to where Franklin was, the two of them had managed to put boots on the ground in a cavern that had been unearthed by an archaeological team. Being quite skilled at what they did, the one thing they could not be accused of was being skilled combatants, as was often the case with those others considered ‘bookworms’. As such, they had requested for the aid of magic knights specifically, leading to the two of them arriving at the scene. Back then, Griswold was considerably weaker, while Franklin himself focused primarily on using golems to fight his battles while he spent his time documenting all sorts of things he considered as being interesting. And given the amount of ‘interesting’ things they found down there, it was no shock that they were slowed down ever so often while he did his work.
Reaching a point where he could no longer take anything else along with him and the sheer amount of undead had reached a point where they might actually be overtaken, they had decided to go back for the time being, allowing Griswold to come back at another time so as to finish their delve his way. Since that time, a lot had happened. Between fighting an archdemon and spending a month in a region dominated by constant darkness and a very bothersome presence of vampiric beings and other nocturnal hunters, the black knight had gotten quite attuned to fighting in the dark and seeing without the use of actual sight. At this point, his senses were much like the echolocation used by bats, keeping them from knocking into walls and following their prey with deadly accuracy. This time, getting through this place would not be cut short.
Arriving at the archaeological camp, Griswold stashed away his horse along with the others in a makeshift stable, greeting some of the scholars that were hard at work using both tools and magic to do whatever it is that they did to the objects that had been unearthed so far. At the time, one of the few things they had managed to find out while in the belly of the beast was that the place hidden beneath the earth was not of Cloverian origin, but of a tribe of humans no longer found on the mainland. Considering how their architecture and art looked similar to that of a group of people that went raiding along the shorelines of Clover and Diamond every summer, it seemed to predate even them, which made sense. Wondering what it was that made them leave their city in such a state remained to be seen, though it was among the things he wished to discover while he cleared out the remaining undead.
Not wasting a whole lot of time chatting with the scholars on the surface, the bull lowered himself down into the poorly lit hole, all of the light down there originating from torches that had been placed some time ago and were kept lit by the archaeologists.
Floor 1, Room 1
The first thing he felt as he descended down into the darkness was the uncomfortable chill that seemed to penetrate any kind of clothing one might wear, sinking into your very bones. If nothing else, it felt like the touch of the grave, a thing he had felt only once before when he had gone into an elven tomb to save a bunch of children that had gotten lost. And given the fact that further into the cavern, one would find the place crawling with zombies, that analysis wasn’t even all that far off. For as poorly lit as the place was, Griswold could still make out the presence of at least one other individual down here, that of a girl. Not being that of someone he outright recognized as being a fellow magic knight, he simply approached under the belief that this person was not an enemy of his, nor an undead shambler as they usually did not venture this close to the entrance.
With a quick glance, he could tell that there was a considerable difference between the two of them, and that even if she were some villainous rogue criminal, she would more than likely not pose much of a threat to him. Given his previous dealings with rogues however, he knew that many of them made quite the effort not to look like a criminal, only showing their true colors after the fact. Being far less oblivious to it than he had been in the recent past, if the girl turned out to be a criminal, she’d find herself behind bars before she could spell out the words “I’m not a criminal”.
“Curious. When last I was here, there were no people greeting me at the metaphorical door to the underworld. So who, pray tell, might you be?”
Not really making any attempt at explaining his own reasons for being here or even who he was, he imagined that at this point, most people on the continent were in some way or shape aware of who he was. It was one of those things that came along with being a wizard considered to be on a level equal to magic knight captains, and even being wizard king material in terms of sheer power and renown. Though more often being a curse rather than being a blessing, not having to explain himself as frequently anymore was never a bad thing. Apparently having what people called a “memorable face”, the fact being that he wore a large cloak with the black bulls emblem along the back meant most individuals would at least be able to link him to his squad and from there on do the math to tie it to him being the royal knight Griswold.

Time passed quickly, as it often does for Connor. The ways by which he found himself listening to a conversation between clergy was anything but succinct. He fruitlessly petitioned the church for funds, as a means to an end. Discovering you’re known to be a criminal is a liberating experience, or, so Connor thought. A few of them had taken to calling themselves by official means; after the spirits, salamanders, gnomes, Sylphs, and what not. The Spears were bastards to deal with, like your run of the mill guard, but with piety rolled into the bundle. Rogues were starting to accumulate rumours, tell-tale’s to distinguish them from each other. More often than not, they’d tell you; sometimes their actions spoke volumes. Salamanders were like the church’s immediate attack force, renowned for their fighting prowess, and little else. Gnomes were your unscrupulous garden variety guardians, green thumbs with green horns at the very least. It was the last of these two that interested Connor, they often guarded the best loot, Gnome bless them. Entire sects had been devoting their resources towards a focal point, the umbra of the shadow; the church, had been giving off vibes for the more adventurous rogues. It wasn’t news, but a few things had reached his ears. Things like the words, “Opportunity,” and “Long Forgotten Kingdom.” Reliable as these sources boasted to be, Connor’s curiosity wasn’t entirely sold on the idea of going underground again. The first time had been the gauntlet, three weeks eating rats in a sewer. The second, a short expedition into the dark which he had flaked out of because of claustrophobic concerns. And now this, this “Underground Kingdom,” or so they called it.
Connor wore the armour he had purchased from the black market as he departed his home. He drew it around him like he was wearing his own shadow, it was thick with enchantments and quite luxurious to wear, he favoured it above any other thing he owned. Fictitious rumours were hard to go on, so he enlisted the ascribed scholars he usually worked with to find who had first laid eyes on the dungeon. As ruthlessly incompetent as they were, they pulled some teeth and got the job done. Now with his bearings, a map and reasonable assurance everything was ascertainably correct, Connor proceeded. His white hair had no real significance in the wild lands, he was just your average citizen out here; apparently people like Connor were one of the only reasons this place was dangerous. He carried some rations in a satchel, not knowing entirely how long his spelunking expedition would take, he erred on the side of caution burdening himself with only enough for a short time. There were an abundance of tracks leading up to the cave, some of them as he pointed out to himself were fresh. A secret like this wasn’t going to be kept for long, Connor thought, as he put his hands in his pockets, he entered.
Floor 1 Room 1 The scholars outside were busy, paying little attention to Connor, who; for the most part, simply walked through their camp. Upon realising the level of consideration he was being given, he pocketed a box of matches and a pair of pencils as he looked for the entrance to what he sought. When he found the cave he was underwhelmed, the symbols and hieroglyphics didn’t exactly seem wealthy. When he entered he noticed that it was cold, imperceptibly so. Not the wind, nor any significant sign of magic could be ascribed to be the cause of the chillingly morbid feeling Connor felt. It was like he had one foot in the grave, as if the pins and needles he felt were the nails in the coffin. This was not a place the living ventured. Someone had once told him of places that didn’t even have insects in the dirt. They were blighted, cursed… staying in a place like this for any duration of time was dangerous. Connor was not entirely confident when a way off he sensed mana signatures; one of them familiar, his lucidity vanished as the figure in his mind came to fruition. His breathing exercises monotonously cycled through the square portion as his blood ran cold, if he had been noticed prior he may have been overlooked now. Cautiously, Connor edged along the side of the cavern, for the most part concealed by his armour and the abundant lack of any real light source within his vicinity. He relied on their conversation to remain anonymous, pragmatically conceiving it was plausible they had no idea Connor was present. One of them was most certainly Griswold; the Black Bull, someone Connor had the fortune of meeting before hand. What a small world, Connor internally ridiculed himself. Moving slowly he approached the pair, saying with as little confidence as he may infer while still being casually nonchalant, “It’s a small world after all, wouldn’t you agree, Griswold?” Connor made no pretence or allusion as to where exactly he stood on the matter of morality, neither did he make a grandiose display of confidence that the next moment would go as he intended for it to. He simply rolled the dice and prayed that he would not be judged to be absconding or dangerous, as Connor often did, he seemed more bored than anything.

When she had arrived to the site there seemed to have already been a stable in which to place her horse and it seemed not all the scholars had disappeared but instead retreated back to the parts that were safe still, particularly the entrance. When she had arrived at the entrance and waited for her partner it seemed nobody would be coming and she was instead on her own. "No matter, In I go then."
Entering the cave Amelia had used some of the oil to moisture a wooden stick she found on her way to the entrance, then lit it with a match making a torch flame she carried as she walked further in. Running her hands on the walls she could feel itches, ruins were carved into glyphs in the walls, while fascinated a wind blow against her torch and she felt the temperature drop a few degrees clearly, a drop in temperature was usually the sign of the dead, it seemed her superiors weren't wrong. Further investigating her walk lead her to a older man, holding up her torch she could see his face clearer as she realized she was approaching him, looking she realized that it was the man that had saved her that one time in the forest, but it seemed he didn't recognize her as she stood in place hearing him talk. He was weary but it didn't seem like he would attack unprovoked.
Floor 1 : Room 2 "Less of a meeting, more of a chance encounter, Sir Griswold." Oh yes Amelia knew this man, she had only meet him once but by accident at a bar she heard a story about a man that was eerily similar and soon after she heard many more, Sir Griswold was not a person to be trifled with when encountered. "Amelia Hades, I know my family has a reputation of being assassin and spies but I represent the Church order of Salamander and I'm here on there behalf to clear this dungeons undead plague." She also had a secondary objective, bringing back any of the objects that seemed to perpetuate the vile magic, but she felt like not explaining that until it was of importance. "And you may not remember me but I can't help remembering you saving me in the forest the last time we meet, thank you for that. Now, I think we both know I'm no threat to you so if you would allow us to proceed I can take the charge so you can keep your eyes on me if that's what you would prefer." Amelia said with a smile but definitely meant business. It was then the sound of shuffling could be heard somewhere else, turning quickly in case of an undead attack instead Amelia would find a third person, one that seemed to be somewhat acquainted with Sir Griswold, "A friend?" Amelia pondered.
If Griswold was cool with it Amelia would do what she said and take the lead with her torch while Griswold dealt with his.."Friend"?, as the air seemed to progressively dropped and then..it rose? Curious Amelia eye brow raised as she felt the temperature rise to a point reminding her of spring, enough natural light so she didn't need to use her torch and below her feet instead of rock was now growing foliage. This,..this was not right.
Unbothered by the two gentlemen affairs Amelia continued the path even as it split into what could only be described as towns of a side walk, along the path was numerous herbs that Amelia could easily identify as some being rather rare and the others Amelia could not identify at all, "This dungeon is a wonder.." Amelia said to nobody in particular or possibly the boys, men? that were with her. She even saw creatures that didn't look like anything she saw in a book or in person. Amelia let out a chuckle, "This room is like one giant honey trap meant to lure people further in or keep them distracted." Once again Amelia was saying this to no one in particular, just words to the air.
Speaking of the room, what touched her ear drums was the sound of shuffling, like somebody walking but dragging themselves at the same time, anywhere else Amelia might not have thought that odd but she was sure they were the only one's in the room at the moment meaning it could only mean one thing. Turning the corner she meant eyes with them, they still looked human in form, however the rotting flesh mixed with the growing plant life told her the things before her were anything but alive and had been possess by magic. Amelia was a member of the church and it was her duty to take out undead creatures and any creature or person that would stray to the cult or to darkness yet even without such a title she could hardly stomach the scene before her.
Taking book out of sleeve as it began to float above her Amelia tapped her two knuckles not only attracting the group of undead she was watching but to also activate her spell, wild vines jutting out from underneath the surface of the room, roses spreading among the vines as they tilted towards her undead group, "Rest now. Oseeia Combat: Oswald Blitz" Amelia uttered as the unbloomed roses bloomed at once as a fast moving projectile jetted out from the flower piercing the five body group of undead, causing them to drop in a instant, she hoped that they didn't feel anything but peace now that there bodies were freed from a curse or some plague, Turning to the boys she wondered how they would finished as she felt the mana from the undead mix with her own refueling her reserves.

Description: Amelia Grimoire opens up and she taps her knuckles together as the spell activates from her grimoire. Vines grow out of the ground and point in the direction Amelia wants as roses begin to bloom along the vines, from the blooming roses projectiles shaped like mini glaive blades begin to shoot out at 20 m/s up to 40 meters. Upon being hit with these blades intermediate damage is done but additionally a sort of paralysis spreads throughout the effected area causing another instance of junior damage similar to friction burn, because of the paralysis effect, the target's strength lowers by one instance of junior damage, hitting another target will cut the effectiveness by 1/2 junior damage.
“Hmm, I see. That would explain why’ve got a familiar scent. I take it you managed to get away safely after leaving me with the fallout of whatever it was that transpired.”
For a moment, Griswold paused to ponder on the way things had developed up until this point, which was quite something considering the fact that they had not even truly entered into the cavern yet. Not really remembering the girl since they had apparently met ever so briefly in a forest at a time when she was fleeing from a bunch of brigands, him having barely seen her explained volumes. That said, his nose did not forget her scent, which was one of the many perks of having such developed senses. Though he wasn’t at all mad about being left with a bunch of scum in a forest where he could have easily eviscerated every last one of them and leave their remains for the wolves, Griswold did manage to make his remark sound somewhat snarky.
“As for you… not quite a friend, more of an acquaintance. I remember you from some time ago in Aries Garse, and if I remember correctly, you just so happened to have disappeared at the same time as all of the loot that had yet to be returned to their respective owners.”
In response to both questions and statements at the same time, the black knight remembered how they had been fending off imps for the sake of Aries Garse and its inhabitants. Not because the imps themselves were harmful, but because the person controlling them to do horrible things had to be stopped. What he remembered from that night was how they had to go all over the place to locate and shut down magical portals that allowed more of the imps cross over into this world from whichever one it was that they had come from. When they had finally found the summoners and beat him down to a pulp, it turned out that he had done all of these terrible things like poisoning people’s food, stealing their money and more so that he could win it big in a gambling tournament. After all, if half of the contestants dropped out, the chances of you winning went up by at least that much.
While it had allowed them to set the imps themselves free, allowing them to live out their lives on this planet in a safe location far removed from human settlements, the fact that they had not been able to give the people who had been stolen from their money back was bothersome. And while Magnus was always going to be the last person to point towards someone else and pin the blame, Griswold was not that naïve. When all of the signs pointed into one direction, walking into the other made absolutely zero sense, and this was really no different. Luckily for him, the black bull was not the overly aggressive kind, only using violence when he felt it was required, especially these days that were already filled with bloodshed and often involuntary battle. But at the end of the day, this was the kind of life he had signed up for when he became a magic knight, and the life he had decided to crank up to eleven by becoming a royal knight.
Given the sheer difference between the two, he saw no real issue with continuing for the moment, knowing that if he wanted to, he could snap Connor like a twig. Allowing the girl to lead, Griswold very much wished to hear what the guy had to say for himself after being confronted by a less than legal action he had more than likely committed in his presence. At the same time, he had more or less thrown a bit of a curveball at the girl as well, asking her whether she had managed to get away safely after dumping her problems in his lap and making a break for it. Perhaps it was true what some people had said about him, and that at times, awkward situations tend to form around him as he refuses to forget things that transpired. At the same time, that was his way of handling things, by confronting them whenever they arose, thus keeping things from hovering around him like a dark cloud.
So as they awkwardly made their way throughout the space, it did not take long before his nose and his ki registered the presence of the undead shamblers up ahead. For a time, they seemed to not really notice them as they wandered about aimlessly, though this changed once the group of three came closer to them. As if they were some kind of trained guard dogs, the undead came swarming right at them, albeit in a state that seemed a lot like a drunken stupor. But that was to be expected of the walking dead, as the only thing that likely kept them from fully decomposing was the very thing that turned them into the state they were in, and had been for an unknown period of time. With the girl going on the offensive with her plant-based magic, Griswold had honestly already seen enough of these filthy mongrels when he had been here some time in the past. And since there was no need to collect samples this time, he could just do whatever the hell he wanted.
With a simple swing of his arm in the direction of the shamblers, it was as if the entire group was suddenly assaulted by invisible blades, lacerating them as limbs and heads alike went flying along the floor, leaving nothing but a lifeless mass of flesh on the ground. To the majority of the country, it was known that Griswold possessed a form of solar magic, though no one had seen the advancement of his magical might just yet. And seeing as how his magic was invisible to the naked eye and only those who had a decent grasp of the ability to sense mana, it was likely going to remain a mystery for some time. Which was just fine by him.
Floor 1, Room 3
Leaving the mass of rotting flesh and limbs behind as he took the lead for a bit, Griswold knew exactly what was going to be coming at them next. Now being at the same point where they had previously been forced to head back, his nose warned him to the presence of the beast he had fought once before. Warning him to the scent of fur while his ears picked up the low rumbling of a large growling beast, it wasn’t long before his Ki managed to paint a picture inside of his head of the large wolven creature, as well as its exact location even before the light of the torch caught up. Remaining within a similar location filled with all sorts of unique plant life, what also seemed to return was the unnatural chill that seeped into their very bodies with little to no resistance. Luckily, Griswold was used to some of it because he had slept under the starry skies more often than not.
Fully moving out of the darkness, the massive wolf stood in their way, keeping any and all from progressing any further, though it did not stop there. Moving along the walls and passing around the wolf itself were dark shadows, seemingly being alive and ready to engage the interlopers, backing up the large beast once it all went down. Locking eyes with the wolf, the black bull had already decided that he was going to take down this beast, but would not kill it. It wasn’t undead, meaning it was a living being that deserved at least some modicum of respect. Leaving his sword by his side, contained within its scabbard, the proper use of the right spell paired with his own fists were going to be all that he needed to take this big boy down a few paces. Which just left the shades and the remaining two mages, one of which had thus far been having an easy time with all of the threats being picked off before he had to lift a finger.
“I’ll handle the wolf, you guys focus on the shades. If they manage to flank you, you’ll be in a good deal of trouble.”
Name of Spell: Zephyrus Reaping: Cutting Breeze Elemental Type: Air Pressure Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate | Attack Creation | Sensory (Homing) Range & Speed: 60m | 30 m/s Mana Cost: 20mp | 10mp Stats Effected: +6 Power (Self) Applicable Perks: Apex Predator, Overpowered, Battle Knight, Quick Shot & Skilled Sniper Description: By temporarily clouding the eyes and performing a sideways swipe with his right arm, an invisible wind blade is shot towards one (or more) specified target(s). Sending out one wind blade for every 30 control the user has, these blades can cause painful cuts and gashes and cut through most unreinforced walls. Being roughly 130 centimeters in length and 1,5 centimeters thin, the blades will keep following the specified targets for as long as they remain within the maximum range of the spell and can be sensed by the caster, as is needed for tracking as per the homing rules. Additionally, hitting a durable enough reinforced structure causes the blades to stop. Those with at least 20 sensory can see the wind blades as being green swords, with them otherwise remaining invisible.

Connor remembered the events that transpired between them a little differently then as supposed. It seemed to go over his head that for the most part it was more or less just a difference of perspective, accepting this was Griswold’s distinct personal circumspect and reasoning, Connor began to elaborate, ““Griswold,” Connor’s clarity was distinctly abrasive; in a scratchy way that possibly related to not using his voice as often as he may. He proceeded; after designating the target for his retort, confidently he posed a question, “Have you ever actually tried to get gambler’s to be honest about how much money they’ve lost?” It wasn’t rhetorical, more of a glimmer over the arbitrary facts that the ‘loot’ had been around a thousand Yul, it wasn’t an ordinary sun of money to just happen upon as Connor had. “I still have the Yul; if it’s any consolation…” As if to affirm this, after a slight delay; a practised modesty effort, and a mental tally, Connor produced the aforementioned leather pouch containing exactly ‘one thousand and thirty-four Yul denominators.’ His memory wasn’t the best, but as a peace motion he slipped it to Griswold, as plainly as he might accept, if he didn’t, Connor didn’t particularly seem fussed.
The zombies were gruesome and grotesque to behold, their limbs strewn around less so. He had simply walked behind the two of them as they simply eviscerated the undead horde before them. Connor had ignoble propensities, he was satisfied with the progress they were making, not really wanting to be mistaken as a combatant. If he was identified as threatening, it was not apparent; Griswold’s countenance on the other hand, really kept Connor from toeing the line. The nun was interesting, pretty enough and didn’t really pay him much attention.
Blinking was an effort; truely, Connor mentally attested, whether or not his eyes were ever actually open was a mystery. Every second second he meticulously dragged his brow downwards for a brief moment, sometimes of no volition of his own, it was just uncomfortable not to. He rubbed his chest trying to combat the cold, as he gleaned over the articulate architecture that wrapped around them, his eyes fell upon a wolf. A gargantuan creature, his heart physically thumped in his chest, a palpable emotion overwhelmed Connor as he considered his options. Eyes widening, fear bit into Connor; like a person may into a sandwich, he felt very much like a sandwich at this very moment. The shadowy caricatures that angrily approached the nun and he, they were immaterial; ghosts like in a story book, the wolf however scared him in the most unbelievably certain of ways. Connor; Grimoire in hand, brushed his hand across the open page. “Midas.” Connor groaned. The silver dust that he flicked into the air glowed faintly as it gathered around a central point. The sphere’s circumference and surface area increased as it lumbered forward, commanded by Connor to smash into the first shade that it could by a pointing of his finger. The silvery sphere intimidatingly sprung forward with enough force to pin an individual shade to the ground, before flying upwards and slamming back into it. The shade hissed as it disappeared, the distinct vocalisation was more like a shrill scream, and it sent reverberations through the golem. Which having critically injured the individual sphere; Midas, turned to glittering dust.

Midas levitates and moves at 12 m/s, is roughly 6 meters in circumference, has intermediate health and has a range of 60 meters. The golems can deal intermediate damage. Per the Golem rules, additional Golems can be created when using this spell based on Connor’s Control Stat to the maximum based on the rank of the spell, 4 being the maximum at Intermediate. Each Golem can serve as transportation if necessary, but is limited to 2 passengers each and can only move at 10 m/s while serving as such.

Looking at Sir Griswold Amelia watched as his arm swung through the air but with the sheer force of it he had more than just defeated the undead, Amelia watched as the bodies seemed to be disected as if they were cut causing body parts to fall to the ground, Amelia watched as those bodies cause a eerie pool of black blood to splatter the floor, Amelia once gain uttering the words to send the spirits of the dead to their new home.
Floor 1 - Room 3
Following Sir Griswold lead now Amelia walked quickly behind him as she kept her eyes peeled for the undead, the pool of blood early and the smell of them made it easy for her to pick up on them, Well the funny thing was that she didn't really need to sense them since they were currently drifting all around them. Walking the corridor the earlier room was just like she thought, something to lure them deeper or perhaps confuse them as the cold from before came back, Amelia feeling the chill enough to slow her down but with every breath she was determined to see this through. So many undead creatures, so many were suffering, she would help destroy them from their undead shells and let them finally rest.
Entering into a certain space Amelia body jolted to life as she picked up the smell of an animal, one that had been caked partially by a thick stench of blood and decay and no sooner had she felt that did such a creature appear, a wolf of magnificently large proportions standing up to them, the soft rumble that vibrated from their chest was clearly a warning for them not to get nearer, more so than that Amelia glanced near the walls and could see different type of undead, she had learned of them during her nun training, shades. Mostly docile but aggravated by the living presence or heat. Sir Griswold seemed to fancy taking on the wolf alone leaving the shades to them. "You seem to want this so I suppose I'll let you handle this, I must attend to the souls of the Shades anyway." Amelia said as she turned her attention completely to the Shades that were inching closer.
Tapping the ground with her foot while using her right hand to grab and open up her grimoire Amelia uttered the word, "Grow" her open grimoire lighting up as a giant seed seemed to pop out and launch itself into the air as the seed then magically began to sprout and a golem of various plant life covered in moss landed back on the ground, the golem looking directly at the Shades as it blitzed three Shads and swept it's arm forward, twisted and sharpened bent branches slashing the creature's ghostly form making it unstable, following up Amelia took a deep breath feeliing the chill but her own body was also heating up as she speed up to 11 m/s but the chill kept her slightly at bay 9 m/s but still faster than the Shades she unwrapped Tundrem as she uttered the sentence underneath her breath causing it to light up with her mana as she swung it at the first Shade to destroy it, quickly following up with the second and third.
The fourth Shade Amelia and her golem blitz together from the left and the right, Amelia going from a running motion to a slide as she spun Tundrem around her shoulder and with a powerful flex of her muscles and a flick around Amelia slashed the shade from the bottom while her Golem kicked the top portion of it, Amelia low enough to not get kicked by her own golem as the Shade dispersed.
Naturally she attracted quite a few of the Shades, there was still about eight left. "Attack the Right Side" Amelia said to her golem as it rushed off to leap and then smash its' fists on top of one shade and then turned around to smack another Amelia following her golem lead by running after it and delivering quick series of slashes, Tundrem causing the Shades to disperse and freeze.
Accepting the money from the swindler, Griswold decided not to make too much out of it. Going through the proper channels, which was something he now had access to due to the formation of his very own organization, getting the money back to the people would not be all that difficult. Besides, it was not every day that someone confessed to their crimes and made reparations. Had this been about a murder or something along those lines, it would not have been something the knight would’ve let slide, but since this was about nothing more than monetary value, an exception could be made. Once he had attached the pouch to his belt, he waited for the two to set up their distraction, following the kinds of spells they used and the purpose they would serve while making mental notes. Believing his own strength to be more than sufficient, knowing the extent of other people’s capabilities was never a bad thing.
So while the others engaged the wraiths, wholly assuming they’d be strong enough to handle themselves while he himself would handle the largest and most pressing threat, the fact that this was an animal made things somewhat different. Had it been an undead monstrosity, Griswold would have made short work of it, lacerating it into so many pieces that it could not possibly be reanimated a second time. But given the fact that this was a beast that had likely been trained to keep the way in shut, or maybe even make sure no one got out, something was going on surrounding the creature. After all, judging by how old this place was, there was no way it would have been able to survive if it wasn’t some sort of mana beast or a creature put under some sort of curse.
Regardless, it needed to be put down so they could all press on. Feeling that his magic power had been amplified simply due to being inside of a dungeon, Griswold tapped in the ambient mana that surrounded him, a feat accessible only to those that had truly become attuned to trace amounts of natural energy that often condensed in places such as these. Holding out a finger, a small sphere formed at the very tip as Griswold looked around. Not being one for taking work out of somebody else’s hands while they were busy fighting, he wished to get a move on and began expanding his magical sensory skills. Marking the wolf, the remaining wraiths and the individuals that had entered alongside him, the tiny sphere grew and began breaking up into several smaller spheres. Capable of controlling them with deadly precision whilst within his own range of sensory, the spheres collided with the wolf and the remaining wraiths.
Breaking the wraiths apart while sending the wolf into a nearby wall, Griswold had intentionally held back a bit as he hadn’t wanted to kill the creature outright. Believing that there might at some point be a way to free the creature once they had freed this place from the taint of undeath that yet lingered here, he’d rather not stoop to killing it if it could be helped. And if there was no way to leave it alive once it was all said and done, the black knight would make sure to put it to death with his own two hands, rather than leaving it to somebody else.
Floor 2, Room 1
With the wraiths taken out on this level and the wolf put into a forceful nap, Griswold began leading the other two further into the place that was supposed to be some sort of city. Truth be told, aside from the street-like design and the stone buildings carved into the walls, it really looked a lot more like some kind of religious sanctum where the followers of some odd religion might dwell, rather than an actual city that was open and accepting towards all comers. Perhaps it would explain why this was the only location that had been having a large amount of undead shambling about. Spotting an entryway not far from their current position, it was clear that they were leaving the most ‘home’-esque location behind as they went over to an altogether different place that seemed even more alien than the rest of the underground city.
Passing through, the way ahead quickly devolved from a path of cobbled stone and into one made of ice and rime, leading one to question the structural integrity of the place. For the time being, the black knight decided not to dwell on it too much, pushing it to the back of his mind in the knowledge that he had at least some means of keeping himself and others afloat, should the place decide to crumble around them as they passed in further. Moving his attention away from the ice-made bridge and to the disembodied spirits that roamed about in the dark, Griswold narrowed his eyes as he placed his hand on the handle of his sword. Being somewhat surprised that they did not outright attack the group, it made him wonder whether this was due to choice or because of some other unexplained phenomena.
“Be prepared, there is no telling when these things might decide to lash out at us.”
Floating aimlessly throughout the room, these more or less incorporeal beings seemed to not possess any kind of intelligent thought whatsoever. Strangely enough, he knew how quickly that could change from one moment to the next out of previous experience with similar beings. Those wraiths however had not been so much mindless as they had been nothing more than rage incarnate, attacking violently without holding anything back until their ancient relic had been returned to them, releasing them from the curse and allowing them to fade away into nothingness as their anger passed away with them. Stepping further along the bridge, as if by magic, once he reached a certain point, the wraiths suddenly stopped moving. Returning to a somewhat thinking state, they turned on the group in the blink of an eye.
Not believing he needed to point this out to anyone after already telling them to be on their guard, Griswold reached for his sword and tore it through the nearest wraith as the blade itself began to glow with a faint orange hue. Passing through it with little to no resistance, it would only be a matter of time before the remainder of all of these wraiths would be upon them.

Utilizing "homing" rules in order to chase down the target until the projectile is destroyed or the caster runs out of mana, it also uses "ammo" rules to increase the amount of projectiles fired by 1 for every 20 Control the caster has. In addition, these projectiles flare up from time to time, allowing them to blind those looking at it for one whole post. These "stars" can flare up to blind someone once as per the blinding rules, making them rather tricky to deal with. Upon hitting a target, they explode to cover a certain radius, knocking targets back 24 meters + 5 meters for every 10 Power the caster possesses. During the day, the spell takes on an orange hue, taking on a silver blue hue after dark, making it look a lot like a cosmic spell.

Room 2 Floor 1 The bribe was successful. Mentally progressing the necessary information to include in his report to Velondra; it didn’t hurt to keep tabs on particularly powerful magic knights. After all, if they were arresting Connor, they weren’t elsewhere conspiring to upset other matters. Connor felt more and more that his position was simply to slow people down, if nothing else. His low moral integrity wasn’t particularly a valuable skill here. The dim lighting dulled his keen senses, however Connor still assessed Griswold’s growth to be unprecedented. It had been a few short months ago that he had been already outclassing Connor, evidently dashing towards the precipice of some new horizon, one that Connor could only guess at. Since the reformation of the church, information had been inaccurate. So, meeting the nun had been informative. Unable to pay for information as dense as this, Connor eagerly followed behind the two. Noticing little new about his surroundings, Connor proceeded taking mental notes on his companions. Connor may have seemed distracted, the docile wraiths seemed to overlook him. Perhaps it was the cold-blood, his restrictive breathing exercises granted him a modest grace period to abscond from dangerous situations. He greedily opened his Grimoire a second time after Connor had noticed the wraith’s starting their attack, Midas.” “Orbit.” The spherical golem brightly rose into the air like a small moon at the oral command. Connor commanded its movements by a gesture of his opened hand, skilfully controlling the spell with a mixture of verbal and physical stimuli. It swept around him, bashing itself into an attacking wraith, before reorienting itself and swinging back the opposite way. Imagining surprise to be glazing over the intangible cognitive processes of the ghosts, Connor smirked as the golem made contact with the wraith. His facial expression was a myriad of grandiose nonchalance, controlling Midas was difficult, and this was as much as Connor could feasibly put together at the moment. It was one wraith less to deal with, but for a couple of seconds; Connor had to act more reserved. Recoiling at the mental acrobatics he needed to get the golem to notice his commands. Compared to summoning and maintaining the golem, moving it was an entirely different matter. Colossal in comparison to the small change he usually conjured, it was tedious and cumbersome to direct a single Midas sphere. He kept this too himself, his companions probably self-absorbed enough to not actually notice any contrition that Connor went through. The wraiths were whipped into a frenzy by their presence, swarming around the cavern in a typhoon of jealous rage. The warmth of life; its presence, receded from this place. Connor felt it in his bones prior to having entered this room, he had moved slower before. It was like working on grave dirt.
