Cedric Clover peered out the window to his balcony, waiting to exit. He'd called the people of the Capital for an announcement, something his father would normally make but as the heir apparent to the throne he had duties to perform. He was in his thirties now. No longer were the drab days of a naïve prince--he was a grown man. Thousands of people were counting on him, an entire kingdom was counting on his competence. The Knights had enough on their plate. It was time for someone to pick up the slack and rise to the occasion. He aimed to be the greatest King that ever lived. He had once thought that was nothing but a pipe dream--that time had long since passed. What he'd seen in the Kingdom over these past five years alone had told him one thing; wonders were possible.
[break][break]
Can I get you anything, Prince Cedric? It was Gerard, an elderly servant who'd been serving his family for decades. This man was not just a servant but a friend and close confidante. But now more than ever, Cedric was reaching for confidence and strength within himself. He was a Clover after all. No thank you Gerard. I've got this. It is time to address my people. Stepping out onto the balcony, he exuded strength even as the Temporal magic had begun to affect him. If his memories were slipping, he could not imagine how those so close to the source were feeling. Perhaps he was just vulnerable to it. He had to hope.

My people. We live in a time of shadows and daemon. But now is not the time to despair. It is in times like these that we in Clover find our strength and rise above it. Through the fog we will emerge into a Golden Era and that Era will be forged by our people; you.
[break][break]
Our minds are even more fragile than one could imagine, but memories….memories hold us together. They keep the ones we’ve lost living on within us. Unfortunately when time is tampered with, memories begin to change and fade. Reports of this have erupted all over. It appears the closer one gets to Asmodeus' domain, the worse it gets. For most, it is small things that slip their mind. But some are experiencing this far worse than others. They cannot fulfill simple tasks properly.
[break][break]
With our Magic Knights spread so thin to defend us, I am calling upon our great citizens to fulfill these tasks while the brave Royal Knights battle Asmodeus. I will be posting new missions across the boards and you will be rewarded for helping. But our Knights cannot do it alone.
[break][break]
Reach your hands out into the abyss, even if it scares you. For your families–your friends. For this kingdom we love. No deed is too small. Even helping piece together the broken memories of an old man can make all the difference.
[break][break]
It is not just the heroic deeds of warriors, but the small kindnesses that will save the world.
[break][break]
Cedric Clover said goodbye to his people and stepped back into the palace, nearly slumping over for a moment to catch his breath. He needed to go talk to the Knights personally now. These shattered memories were only the tip of the iceberg.
