The Ravencrest family is a Clover-based family with a mysterious origin, one that is said to span the world over with ties to various organizations. These powerful moguls operate in the shadows, yet keep a social presence so as to keep their profiles well known to the public. The family has made its living in trade and creating magical armaments used by the kingdom and its allies.

This noble family holds a dangerous secret: inside their age-old estate, they have a place where they create magical goods and devices to trade in order to gain power and yul. The family has the overall public look of being secretive, but also appealing due to a mysterious aura that attracts others to them. This family is well-known for having polarizing figures in the kingdoms they occupy.

The Ravencrest family originated out of a relationship with an outcast female of the royal family, and a nobleman with a mysterious background. Known to the family as Marshall Ravencrest, he started his conquest after establishing himself in Clover as a nobleman. Marshall fathered two children at the age of 28. Ajest was the firstborn daughter with a headstrong personality and even more powerful magic: Diamond. She was adept at controlling her abilities from a young age. Arthur, the second child, was born when Marshall turned 32. The boy was blessed with the ability to control Gold, and he became Marshall’s secret favorite and inheritor of the Ravencrest lineage.

Around this same time, Marshall took to inventing magical devices: strengthening tools for mana, simple machines to improve quality of life, and even tools of war. It was easy to see that the man had an eye for the obscene. His wife kept quiet and the family lineage does not state exactly how much was known, but it was expressed that the wife of Marshall Ravencrest left him to be with a man from the Silva family, creating a rift in the family.

Meanwhile, the rivalry between Ajest and Arthur were as thick as oil, and the two often competed for higher placement within their own classes during training. Marshall was fair and gave each their own time, but as the pair reached maturity, he began to unfold his plan for the family moving forward. Ajest was married to another noble family while keeping her family name, and Arthur was sent off to become a Magic Knight. Arthur eventually rose to become Captain in the early days of the Clover Kingdom’s Magic Knight squads, and Ajest became a well known political figure, as well as a mother.

Soon after Ajest’s twin children turned one, Arthur married a noblewoman and the Ravencrest line became split between the two siblings. One leaned towards a more political hold, and the other went more extreme and wanted to rule through power. Ajest believed that she had a right to the family lineage, while Arthur had become a hero in the country and saw himself as the sole heir to his father's legacy. The two were at odds with each other until the time of Marshall’s death, at which time he left both of them a handwritten tome. Inside was a guide to raising their families as he did for them, but with a more extreme approach and desire to see the family rise throughout the world, not just Clover.

The family estate had given up its secrets in the use and creation of magical items. There were even accounts of dangerous experiments being done, which gave the family their mysterious side. Included in the tome were accounts of their father’s upbringing in another kingdom to the north, and while Ajest and Arthur never saw eye to eye, they agreed that the Ravencrest family was destined to rule. As such, they settled their differences and united the family with one goal…
