The day was one that certainly held an air of impending storm to it though he was here for a simple reason, a few select herbs in this region were only assessible here and he had to get a few of their seeds before they were out of season. It was at the very least his goal but the darn things only grew in specific places, places that honestly most should not be just walking through haphazardly, the place in question was common territory but it happened to be near a lake regarded by the locals to be a spirit haven. He was definitely not supposed to be here but he needed to get those herbs to add to the cultivation garden. The man was adorned in just a simple yukata colored in simple peasant browns, the robe covering what was needed while Ai did not wear the iconic mantle of his order. There was the firm desire to not want to stand out while he did his work in this setting.
Ai had it in his satchel knowing the colors stood out too much, so he had to keep it stowed away while his grimoire at his hip was dark green in binding color so it was no problem for that. As for he himself, he did still paint his face in the white but painted atop the white are several lines and swirls of red, his stake and interest in this task being heightened and personified in such a painted facial exterior. The sky was cloudy, a few times beams of moonlight would fall upon the landscape but it wasn't constant. No, for now it was a simple thing. Ai continued making his way to the grove as he scanned the area while he moved, listening carefully when there were additional sounds before moving in and finding the pond, its glow in the occasional moonlight was breathtaking while he knew he had to not waste time, and get to work he did.
Kneeling at the bank of the water as he tested its coolness to the touch, ice cold water but clean and fresh too. His fingers moving along the sandy soil at the bank before he felt a small root, a light tug and he moved in the direction that tug gave way to. 'There we go,' the six foot two man would think to himself as he moved further along the water's edge. The root was soon entangled with others, and he looked at his hand and smiled with a light tug upwards as he saw the bulb root of the herb, long tendril roots having spread through and the plant itself glowing in tandem to the water when moonlight hit it. He finally found some, and looking around the lake he now had to get his bearings of where he had left his sampling kit as he heard something and immediately looked around, 'Who is there?' His mental question forming within his mind, curious and cautious at the same time.
Well, usually Hono liked nice weather, it was the best weather to work out to after all! Though today was overcast, just rather bleak weather a storm would come but Hono couldn't tell for sure when this storm would hit. Regardless that wasn't going to stop the pink-haired girls from some training sessions! The woman would do her jog, almost daily she would go for a run. After all she needed to work on that cardio. So Hono would jog, just about any area she could. Due to the way the storm was headed, Hono would take a different route. Might as well avoid the rain, the rain wouldn't exactly stop her, but no one wanted wet shoes all day!
A scenic route for sure, thick forest, birds above head. The road was a bit muddy, thankfully she was wearing her boots for today, though they for sure didn't match her outfit. Her footprints would also help find her way back, though she wasn't planning on getting off of the trail anytime soon. Her run was peaceful, for a good while, that was until out of the corner of her eye, a small pond perhaps this was a good place to take a well deserved rest. The pink haired woman would sit on a rock, and take a few deep breaths. Honestly enjoying the moonlight, she usually ran in the morning, so she usually only saw the rising son. It was... strange, it gave the girl a weird warm feeling, it was hard to exactly hammer down what she WAS feeling but hey, it was always good to enjoy the sights.
Her relaxation lasted, for quite a bit. Though she was shocked at the sudden splashing noises startled her! Hono would yelp out and leap up from her rock. "Hey! Show yourself!" She would call out in a deep voice, warry of what might be near her. It was quite dark, and Hono only saw some figure? A tall one at that.
The sun rising was warm and kind, bright to the feel and covered the sky in oranges, pinks, and yellows as it broke down the night sky diminishing the stars from view. Ai Tist continued fishing his hand through the sandy soil and when the splashing reached a sound level a bit too high someone had noticed him and called out to him to show himself. The sound came from the left and with a crane of his neck he saw atop the rock a woman with pink vibrant hair wearing a magic knight mantle of a deep blue color, 'Blue Rose, that's interesting,' the thoughts flowed through his mind while he stood to his full height of six feet two, though based on the height of the rock already he was looking upwards at her though it wasn't a straining gaze. His eyes remaining slatted in the fox gaze he presented.
"Why hello there, pleasant morning isn't it?" The man attempted to his his trespassing with a courteous wave of his hand as well as revealing he was unarmed in terms of weapons, and his grimoire remained within the holster on his hip. His white painted face full of red lines and swirls may be off putting so he immediately, "Please bear my appearance out of mind, I'm not typically so disheveled when meeting others." However he did have his hood up to hide his pointed ears whilst talking to this blue rose. "I have not expected meeting anyone this morning so I am surprised to see you. You can call me Tist, who might I have the pleasure of addressing this morn?" His smile was kind, eyes remaining in their foxlike expression to hide his otherwise resting intimidating stare. He walked out of the walked out of the water, moving one hand down to drop the pulled root into his pouch as deftly as he could without spurning their gaze or attention.
Oh! It wasn't some kinda monster? Thank god, Hono wasn't exactly looking for a fight right now. She would rather not have to get into a fight right now. The girl was relaxed, now that she didn't have to worry about a towering monster. This person could still be dangerous, but Hono doubted it, if he were a bandit he'd likely already try to attack. So Hono would remove her hand from her grimoire relaxing, no need to cast some spells. "It's okay." Hono would exhale, "Very pleasant morning~" The Blue Rose would yawn loudly before speaking out, cracking a light smile. It would seem the figure was friendly after all, despite being freakishly tall. "It's fine. I'm all sweaty so I can't make fun of you to much" That was true, due to the jog Hono had sweat on her forehead, which she would soon wipe away from her forehead. Bending over to adjust her boots, the mud on them had tried, Hono wasn't one for fashion so she didn't particularly care, she could wash them later.
She would listen to the man introduce himself, Tist? "Well Tist, I'm Hono Kitai~" She would ball up her fist and place it against her chest. "Blue Rose!" She seemed happy to state that. "I was going for a run myself, mind if I ask what you're doing out here alone at the crack of dawn...?" She was a bit suspicion of what Tist's reasons for being out here was. There were several ideas Hono had, she wasn't thinking of anything nefarious, fishing was her first suggestion, but Hono didn't see any fish on him? Maybe herb picking? Hopefully she would find out soon, though she was also curious to learn more about Tist. Was he a local of one of the villages?
