A magnificent toque replaced Nix's fake crown. The intermediate fifth-class regalia, which belongs to the Silver Eagle magic knight, was not visible. Instead, she was wearing a striking apron. A fishbone braid tamed the young witch's fiery red hair, and this day had begun snazzily like many days before it. Nix eagerly anticipated her arrival in Babel at noon and closely observed the sun's position. She had arranged for a carriage to transport her. The journey was brief and uneventful. As they approached Babel, Nix was alerted by the faint shimmering cacophonous sound of an orchestra of tiny bells. The carriage driver attributed the phenomenon to abundant, powerful magical energy in the vicinity. Nix recognised the silver wings flapping as those of faeries, but the person she was with either had too much wax in their ears or had become too cynical over the years to believe in the existence of these mythical beings. She smiled gently and let him remain happy in his unawareness.

Currently, her task in the Fortress town of Babel was to procure lunch. There were only so many things Nix could do without a full belly. Paperwork for her military duties was piling-up. "A girl needs what a girl wants."She searched for the nearest restaurant with determination and growing hunger.
