[attr="class","haniascroll"]Kenja sat on the outskirts of Rague, the wind rustling through his hair as he gazed down the road, waiting for his fellow Magic Knight, Asahi, to arrive. The weight of the situation hung heavy on his mind—the series of murders that had cast a dark shadow over the city. The mayor's plea for help resonated deeply within him; he knew that the city's well-being, its economy, and the lives of its citizens were at stake. As the minutes passed, Kenja's thoughts turned to the partnership that had formed between him and Asahi. They had both joined the Magic Knights around the same time, and their camaraderie had grown strong through countless battles and shared experiences. Kenja believed that their combined strengths would be the key to solving this mysterious case.
To pass the time and calm his nerves, Kenja began to sing. His voice, rich and commanding, carried a melody. The song he chose was an acapella that resonated with the themes of strength, courage, and adventure. With every note, he aimed to infuse his own spirit into the lyrics, hoping to inspire not only himself but also those who might hear him. The rhythm of the song mirrored the pounding of oars against the water, a symbol of the perseverance needed to overcome challenges. His voice flowed seamlessly between deep, resonant tones that held the weight of the task at hand and spirited, passionate highs that conveyed the unwavering resolve of a Magic Knight. (Viking song) As the song continued, Kenja's eyes remained fixed on the road, his senses attuned to any sign of Asahi's arrival. He knew that their partnership was crucial, not only for the success of their mission but also for the hope and reassurance they could bring to the city's inhabitants.
[attr="class","augusttext"] Asahi had been assigned yet another mission, however he didn’t feel like it would be such a chore this time as he was to be paired up with Kenja. Him and Kenja had been quite a unlikely yet powerful duo. The two have taken on a number of missions together and some training sessions so Asahi was always happy to work with the noble, even though he had a distaste for the upper class. [break][break] The mission was to take place in the town of Raque, a resort town for the most part. However the town had been experiencing a string of murders that was leaving the general populace puzzled. If things kept going how they were the town was sure to start losing tourist, which would lead to the collapse of the economy in the town, Such a thing must have been why the mayor was so pressed for the assistance of the magic knights, [break][break] Asahi would arrive in the town on foot and would make his way to the specified meeting point. As he made his way he would think to himself about the mission ahead of them. He knew this person had killed already and was sure that they would attempt to do so again, and this would give Asahi the idea that he and Kenja should set a trap for the culprit. This was also when Asahi made himself a bit nervous thinking on how things could go if he killed this man in the process of capturing him. He was already on his final warning and if he killed this man he was sure to be kicked out of the magic knights. [break][break] After a while of walking he would seen Kenja and wave as he approached the golden dawn mage. “Hey Kenja, how’s it going today? I hope you are ready to take down a serial killer, because I know I am. Im so ready in fact on my way here I thought of a plan to take him down…. This town needs us to execute this mission swiftly and with precision.”

[attr="class","haniascroll"]As Asahi approached, he waved to Kenja with a determined look on his face. "Hey Kenja, how’s it going today? I hope you are ready to take down a serial killer, because I know I am. I'm so ready in fact, on my way here I thought of a plan to take him down… This town needs us to execute this mission swiftly and with precision." Kenja nodded in acknowledgment, his stoic demeanor undisturbed by Asahi's enthusiasm. "Indeed, Asahi. Your dedication is admirable. However, we must proceed cautiously. Our goal is to capture the murderer, not to take his life. Remember, we are Magic Knights, and our duty is to uphold justice." He continued, "Let's start by gathering information. Our first step should be to meet with the town mayor and any potential witnesses. If we can determine a pattern or gather clues, it will aid us in locating the murderer. This mission is crucial for the well-being of the town, so we must handle it with care."
With that, Kenja began to lead the way towards the mayor's office, located within the heart of the town. As they arrived, the mayor was already waiting, flanked by two nervous looking witnesses. Kenja approached, his gaze steady, and spoke respectfully to the mayor, "Mayor, we are here to assist you in solving this case and bringing the perpetrator to justice." The mayor sighed, the weight of the situation evident in his tired eyes. "Thank you for coming, Magic Knights. These two women have experienced the presence of the murderer, but unfortunately, they could only provide limited information." One of the witnesses, a young woman, spoke up, her voice trembling slightly. "Yes, it's true. We were out late one night, walking back to our inn after a night of celebrating. We heard the rattling of chains, and suddenly, he was there. We couldn't see his face clearly, but we heard his voice. He called himself 'The Chain Wizard,' but he was known by the name 'Apple' before." Kenja's eyebrows furrowed slightly at the mention of the names. "The Chain Wizard, formerly Apple... Intriguing. Can you provide any details about his targets? Was there a specific type of person he targeted, or a time of day he was more active?" The second woman chimed in, her voice tense. "He seemed to target young female tourists, particularly those who were out late at night, perhaps partying a bit too much. His attacks happened under the cover of darkness when most people were asleep." Kenja nodded, absorbing the information. "Thank you for sharing this with us. It's a starting point. Asahi and I will do our best to track down this Chain Wizard and bring an end to his reign of terror. We'll need your cooperation as we proceed with our investigation." The mayor nodded solemnly. "Of course, Magic Knights. Please, do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of our town."
With a final nod, Kenja turned to Asahi. "Do you have any other questions for the major or the two women? Our course of action is clear. Let's gather more information from the town and the areas where the attacks have taken place. We need to anticipate his movements and be ready to strike when the opportunity arises. Remember, our aim is to capture, not to kill. Let's work together and bring an end to this threat."
[attr="class","augusttext"] After Asahi first met Kenja, the Ravencrest mage would quickly state how he thought his dedication was admirable. However he would also state how they were there to capture the murderer and not kill them. He also went on a rant about magic knight duties and the like but Asahi read the rulebook once and he was in no need for a refresher course right now. He would simply nod before saying “Yeah yeah yeah. I guess since you seem to know so much I will just follow your lead. I’ll be like one of your servants back at the estate, speak when spoken to type of vibe…” [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi would simply smile as he would begin to follow behind Kenja as they went on to conduct business for the mission. Their first stop was the mayor’s office, they had to speak with them and apparently two witnesses who could potentially shed some light on the identity of this murderer. Upon arriving at the office Asahi would simply bow to the people in the room, and just as he said he did not speak a word, simply allowing Kenja to handle all the speaking. [BREAK][BREAK] The two women who were with the mayor gave simple, yet helpful information about the identity of the assailant. They referred to him as the Chain Wizard, which seemed like a common nickname for him. As Asahi would think about the situation he slightly questioned his orders for a bit thinking to himself *Why do the magic knights want us to capture some guy like this? Multiple murders and assaults and they want us to risk life and limb to capture him? That’s crazy…* He was conflicted at current, he was still used to his vigilante ways of handling scum like this how he wanted to. [BREAK][BREAK] He stopped thinking to himself when he heard Kenja ask him if he had anything he wanted to ask the mayor or the two witnesses. Asahi would simply shake his head no, before bowing once more knowing that they were about to leave. Once the two were out of the office and making their way to the next stop of the mission Asahi would stop Kenja for a moment, by placing his hand firmly on his chest. “You don’t think its crazy that we are here to capture someone who has multiple confirmed murders and assaults under their belt? Me personally I joined the magic knights because I thought I was going to help serve justice, but scum like this don’t deserve to live…” [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi would remove his hand from Kenya’s chest, and for one of the first times his blank face would be that of anger. He normally was a cool cucumber but for whatever reason he was not feeling good about having to simply capture a murderer. He would start walking again, with the next stop for him being the scene of the last attack. This so called Chain Wizard clearly enjoyed what he did to people and somewhere in Asahi’s mind was going to enjoy killing him. [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi and Kenja were currently butting heads, due tot he fact Kenja and his noble church boy routine would have them playing by the rules even if it meant their death. However Asahi would not just blindly follow orders if it meant his downfall, this meant he would let this situation develop. He did not intend to kill this Apple character but it was definitely a possibility…

[attr="class","haniaimage"]❝Light as feathers, as fleeting as Zephyr, one moment they breathed gold, the next they faded.❞
[attr="class","haniascroll"]Asahi's words, though tinged with frustration and questioning, washed over Kenja like a light breeze against a stone wall. The Ravencrest mage was used to hearing comments from commoners about nobles, often dripping with resentment or jealousy. He didn't take offense; instead, he simply shrugged off Asahi's remarks. Kenja understood that their perspectives and backgrounds were vastly different, but his duty as a Magic Knight and his loyalty to the ideals he held remained steadfast. As they left the mayor's office and began walking to their next destination, Asahi's hand abruptly halted Kenja's movement, his palm pressed against Kenja's chest. The grip was firm, and Asahi's expression, typically composed, was now clouded with anger. Kenja met his gaze, his own expression neutral.
Kenja remained unfazed by Asahi's touch and his words. After the grip on his chest was released, Kenja began walking again alongside Asahi. He listened, considering Asahi's perspective and the weight of his convictions. As they walked, Kenja chose his words carefully, his voice calm and measured. "Asahi, I understand that this situation might challenge your beliefs about justice. However, there are reasons behind our approach. First, capturing the Chain Wizard alive can provide valuable information. We can learn about his motivations, his methods, and potentially uncover any accomplices or hidden factors. This information could help prevent future crimes and protect potential victims." Kenja continued, " Additionally, by capturing him, we send a message to the people that justice prevails even in the face of darkness. It shows that no one is above the law, no matter how heinous their actions. And while it might seem that ending his life is a swift solution, it wouldn't deter others who might follow in his footsteps. The fear of capture and the consequences that follow can act as a deterrent." He paused briefly before adding, "We're not just Magic Knights; we're protectors of the realm and its people. Our actions shape the perception of justice and righteousness. It's a heavy responsibility, but one that we must bear for the greater good. Lastly, by capturing him we can learn if there are other murders he has done that aren't accounted for, giving peace and mind to the victims families. If someone murdered a family member of mine, I'd want the chance to look him in the eye as I watched him put to death or sentenced in another way." Kenja's tone remained steady, his words reflecting of the bigger picture. He knew that Asahi's anger stemmed from a sense of justice, but Kenja hoped to make him see the strategic and moral reasons for their approach. Their steps continued, each stride taking them closer to their mission's resolution, whatever form it might take.
[attr="class","augusttext"] Asahi could do nothing but listen to the words Kenja spoke and from what he heard he felt as if they lived in two different worlds. Kenja seemingly understood next to nothing about the real world, either that or his ideals and beliefs drilled into him through noble teachings had made him stuck in his ways. However Asahi just sighed as he listened to his friend. Once Kenja had finally finished going on his tangent about the justice system, and being protectors and what not, Asahi would simply say to him [BREAK][BREAK] “All that sounds well and good but I dont play by the same rules as you. And from how you talk you know nothing about the true struggles of the common people, you dont know anything about being a true protector. Even before I was a magic knight I was out in the forsaken region using my power to protect my people! I am not even from this land and yet I am more of a protector to the people than you, someone who is supposed to be a noble! What good is having all that money, power, and influence if you dont truly do anything for your people?!” [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi would then look at Kenja before turning around and walking off. As the swordsman walked off he would simply say “You just wont ever get it and I dont know why I thought you were smart enough to understand.” Asahi would continue to make his way to the scene of the last attack, and upon his arrival the place was still in total disarray.he looked around at the damage and trying to see what all he could deduce from the scene. Judging from the damage done to the surrounding areas and buildings Asahi did indeed believe the damage to be done by chains. However they already knew the magic used by the culprit, they now needed a way to find him. [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi would think back to the plan he had when he originally came to do the job, the plan that his so called friend immediately shot down. He started to question how he could truly consider Kenja his friend, but that was quickly dismissed as now wasn’t the time for that. Back to the plan of setting a trap for this Chain Wizard, Asahi thought about the two witnesses from the mayor’s office. Those witnesses and almost all of the found victims had something in common, they were all women. This chain wizard targeted almost all women bare for a few males who were most likely guards or just a passer by trying to help. [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi thought to share this information with Kenja but instead he would simply prepare to move forward and figure out his next steps to setting an appropriate trap.

[attr="class","haniascroll"]Kenja stood his ground, his demeanor unchanged as Asahi unleashed his frustration and criticism. The Ravencrest mage listened attentively as Asahi expressed his view of the world and his own role within it. Asahi's words were charged with emotion, his beliefs stemming from a different set of experiences and values. When Asahi turned away and walked off, Kenja watched him go, his expression neutral. Asahi's words echoed in the air, carrying the weight of his convictions. Kenja sighed softly and shook his head, not in frustration but in understanding. It was clear that further explanation might only fuel the fire of their disagreement. Kenja recognized that Asahi's perspective was born from a deep sense of personal responsibility and justice, one that extended beyond the confines of their roles as Magic Knights. Kenja's own background as a noble had molded his perspective in a different way, and he had been trained to see the bigger picture, to consider long-term consequences. While Kenja believed in justice and protecting the innocent, he also believed in upholding the law and using their power in a way that maintained societal balance. He chose his battles carefully, knowing that unrestrained vengeance could lead to further chaos. Asahi's approach, while rooted in noble intentions, walked a fine line between heroism and antiheroism.
As Asahi moved ahead to examine the scene of the latest attack, Kenja watched him go before taking a moment to collect his thoughts. He knew that their paths diverged in this matter, and for now, it might be best to let Asahi follow his instincts while he continued to uphold his own principles. Kenja caught up to Asahi at the scene, his expression returning to its usual stoic state. He didn't speak of their previous disagreement; instead, he focused on the task at hand. "What have you discovered here, Asahi? If we can piece together more about the Chain Wizard's methods or preferences, we might be able to create a more effective plan for capturing him."
[attr="class","augusttext"] Just as Asahi was about to continue on his way to start setting up a plan, Kenja would finally catch up to him. Upon him catching up he would immediately move to ask Asahi questions about the mission, and said nothing about what their disagreement as if the situation never happened. He would look at Kenja and scoff before saying “You really just gonna act as if nothing happened huh Ravencrest? How about you and your noble lineage take that stick from out of your ass, after you do that maybe you will realize the error of your ways.” He would stop speaking for a moment, as he tried to regain his composure. In truth he was only getting so rilled up at this point because he seen how this murderer was targeting women, and one thing about Asahi was that he truly did try to protect women to no end. [BREAK][BREAK] “You should carry on with your plan, and I will do the same with mine. I have no intent on sharing my intellectual findings, as I would hate for you to get to the man first… after all I dont want you and your good name sullied by any choices I decide to make.” [BREAK][BREAK] He would then turn away making his way back towards the town square, thinking on how he should set his trap. He now knew that the murderer had a thing for attacking women, and the perfect way to trap him would be by using a woman. While using a woman would be ideal, he had no woman to use as bait, and he did not wish to use a civilian. So he would move on to another idea which was something he was not going to enjoy, said option was for him to dress up as a girl and be the bait for his own trap. [BREAK][BREAK] *Putting on a dress for tonight can’t be too bad right?* he thought to himself as he made his way to a nearby clothing store, to buy an outfit that may entice the criminal. He didn’t speak much to the clerk while he was there simply stating that he needed an outfit made to impress but on a budget. The clerk would then direct him to a cheap yet somewhat classy outfit, that Asahi would in fact buy and change into right there in the store’s dressing room. As he made his way out he definitely caught a few strange eyes from the employees, but from the little work he did in the bathroom and dressing room the people outside believed him to be a woman… a very ugly one at least.

[attr="class","haniascroll"]Kenja's reaction was calm and collected as Asahi addressed him with a mixture of sarcasm and frustration. The Ravencrest mage didn't rise to the bait, and he maintained his stoic demeanor as he listened to Asahi's words. The momentary tension from their earlier disagreement seemed to hang in the air, but Kenja had learned when to pick his battles. He decided not to engage further in this moment and, instead, shifted his focus back to the mission at hand. As Asahi turned to walk away, his plan already forming in his mind, Kenja observed him for a moment before deciding to give him space. While their methods and beliefs clashed, Kenja understood that Asahi's determination was rooted in his own sense of justice. He wouldn't stop Asahi from pursuing his plan, even if it diverged from his own approach. With a nod, Kenja allowed Asahi to move ahead while he hung back at a discreet distance. His experience as a Magic Knight had taught him to prioritize the mission, and he was determined to keep an eye on Asahi to ensure the mission's success and safety.
As Asahi entered a clothing store, Kenja followed from a distance, doing his best to ensure he wasn't noticed. He observed as Asahi interacted with the store clerk, his demeanor shifting as he discussed his plan to dress as a woman to bait the Chain Wizard. Kenja watched quietly as Asahi emerged from the store wearing the chosen outfit. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the transformation, though he still did his best to remain hidden from view. Kenja knew the gravity of the situation and understood Asahi's intent to protect potential victims by becoming the bait himself. While Kenja might not agree with the approach, he respected Asahi's dedication. He continued to shadow Asahi, his movements calculated to keep a safe distance while also staying close enough to intervene if the situation escalated beyond control.
The shadows provided Kenja with ample cover, and he watched as Asahi moved towards a spot where he suspected the Chain Wizard might strike. Kenja would wait, ever vigilant, ready to step in if the need arose to protect both Asahi and the mission they were tasked with. The tension between them could wait; the priority was capturing the Chain Wizard and ending his reign of terror.
[attr="class","augusttext"] Nightfall would come rather quickly after Asahi had left the clothing store. He had moved about the town during the day dressed in his female disguise, hoping to draw attention. As night fell he would move to a more secluded area, hoping to be the perfect bait for the murderer. Although he had not seen Kenja for quite some time, he knew the noble and his one tracked sense of justice would not abandon the mission. This led him to believe that he too was around somewhere scurrying about in the shadows. [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi would sit in his quiet spot twiddling his thumbs and keeping his sword out of sight. He sat in wait for about 15 minutes or so and before long someone would appear wearing a pitch black cloak. Said cloak was raggedy and full of tatters and tears but something about it seemed magical in a way. As the person approached Asahi would make his voice high pitched before saying “Can I help you sir?” The man would simply smile from under the hood of his cloak before saying “You can’t help me no, but if you give me a few moments I can surely help you young lady!” [BREAK][BREAK] The man would raise his hand and within mere moments his grimoire would reveal itself, shooting out a chain from the book. Asahi would quickly say “Erase the moon, Shingetsu” the sword being summoned forth just in time for Asahi to block the chain heading for him. After deflecting the chain he would quickly take off his female disguise revealing his real clothes underneath. The first thing that the chain wizard paid attention to was the magic knight mantle worn by the male. “Oh this was a set up?! I’ll just kill you like all the others!” [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi would laugh before saying “Not likely, but im pretty sure you won’t make it out of here alive.” Asahi would lunge forth with his blade in hand ready to strike. The chain wizard however was not ready to go down without some sort of a real fight.

In the shadows, Kenja watched as the night unfolded, waiting for any signs of the Chain Wizard's appearance. As the minutes ticked by, he began to question whether the murderer would show up at all. But then, a figure cloaked in tattered darkness emerged, causing Asahi's alertness to spike. From his hidden vantage point, Kenja's eyes narrowed, his focus sharpening on the unfolding scene. Asahi's voice took on a high pitch as he addressed the approaching figure, his disguised voice trying to lure the Chain Wizard in. The man responded with a sinister smile, his grimoire materializing chains that shot forth in an attempt to ensnare Asahi. However, Asahi was ready, swiftly summoning his sword, Shingetsu, to deflect the incoming chain. With a command, Asahi discarded his disguise, revealing his true form. The Chain Wizard's attention shifted to the Magic Knight's emblem on Asahi's cloak, a realization dawning on him that he had walked into a trap. Asahi taunted the Chain Wizard, who in turn grew defiant, proclaiming his intent to kill Asahi.
As the confrontation escalated, Kenja's instincts kicked in. He emerged from the shadows, racing towards the skirmish. Cursing his lack of magic spells at this moment, Kenja relied on his natural speed and strength. Just as the Chain Wizard prepared to launch another attack at Asahi, Kenja's spin kick connected with the wizard's shoulder, momentarily interrupting his actions. However, before Kenja could react further, chains shot forth from the ground, wrapping around him with a surprising force. Kenja grunted as he was restrained, his options dwindling rapidly. The Chain Wizard's magic was formidable, and Kenja found himself incapacitated. The Chain Wizard's voice reverberated through the air, invoking a surge of magic that buffed his speed and conjured a whirlwind of chains that lashed out, acting as both defense and offense; a whirlwind of chains that proved a formidable barrier aimed at Asahi while Kenja was restrained.
Kenja strained against the chains that bound him. He could feel the chains starting to give to his strength, but he was effectively sidelined, trapped by the very chains he sought to apprehend. However, his analytical mind was still at work, assessing the situation, and searching for a potential opening to aid Asahi. For now, Kenja watched, waiting for the right moment to finish breaking the chains and provide a flank for his fellow magic knight.
[attr="class","augusttext"] As Asahi moved in for his attack he would watch as Kenja would emerge and attack from wherever he was hiding. Asahi would instantly yell out saying “Nooooooo!” He knew Kenja was in no position to fight on equal footing, seeing as how he currently did not have magic to wield. The black bull was totally dissatisfied with his friend and the course of action he had taken, but he was able to land a hit on the chain wizard before he was restrained by his chains. Asahi would stop his charge once Kenja was ensnared and began to speak to the chain wizard. [BREAK][BREAK] “I like this better… make sure you hold him there until your last breath. I dont want him stopping me from killing you!” Asahi would then dispel his shingetsu before holding his left hand high to the sky and saying “Koganebari”. This would summon a new sword to his hand that he held up, Kenja should recognize it as it looked just like the sword they used in their training session. “With this sword of mine I shall erase the filth that you are from this earth!” [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi would take the sword and enter a high guard stance before charging at the chain wizard. As he ran forth he would say the word “Scatter” which would activate the ability of the sword, which created a large cloud of mana around Asahi. Asahi would use his area based attack in order to counter the chain mage’s attack, while also dealing a bit of damage at the same time. The cloud of mana would cover Asahi and the chain wizard as they did combat each trying to get an opening over the other. [BREAK][BREAK] As Asahi did battle with the chain wizard he would manage to throw his normal katana towards where Kenja was restrained, he had hoped that the blonde would manage to use the blade along with his own skills to free himself.

As Asahi charged forward, his attack fueled by a newfound weapon, Kenja could sense the urgency in his actions. He listened to Asahi's words, his tone a mix of anger and resolve, as he held his new sword aloft. Kenja recognized the sword – it was the one they had used in their training session. Asahi's strategy unfolded, using his new sword's ability to create a cloud of mana to obscure the battlefield. The Chain Wizard's attacks clashed against Asahi's defenses, the cloud of mana making it difficult for the Chain Wizard to discern his exact movements.
Kenja, free from the chains that had bound him, seized the opportunity to retrieve the sword Asahi had thrown. With a fluid motion, he kicked the sword up and intp his hand and moved with calculated movements, positioning himself strategically behind the chain wizard. Every step the Chain Wizard took toward Asahi, Kenja mirrored, ensuring that their adversary was constantly on the defensive with split attention. As a result of this tactic the Chain Wizard's attacks grew more frenzied, his frustration apparent. He launched an attack towards the two of them, his chains lashing out in a haphazard manner. Kenja's instincts and honed reflexes kicked in, allowing him to slightly dodge the attack, narrowly avoiding the chains that would have struck him.
Kenja's presence was like a shadow, a constant reminder to the Chain Wizard that he was not the only threat on the field. His calculated movements kept the wizard off balance, his own sword poised for action. The tension was palpable as the three combatants clashed, each moment fraught with potential danger. In this chaotic dance of swords and chains, Kenja focused on his role – to disrupt the Chain Wizard's concentration and create openings for Asahi. He watched the battle closely, waiting for an opportunity to exploit the wizard's momentary distraction or misstep. Amidst the chaos of the battle, Kenja's voice cut through the mist and clashes of weapons. His words were firm, a reminder of their mission and purpose. "Asahi, remember our objective – we're here to capture him, not to kill. We must bring him to justice." Kenja's insistence on their mission's goal was clear, his commitment to upholding their duties as Magic Knights. Kenja thinking to himself that a vigilantly stance and taking "justice" into ones own hands was unwise and could reflect badly on the knights.
[attr="class","augusttext"] Asahi continued to do battle with the chain wizard, with neither side gaining a true advantage. Before too long he would see that Kenja had managed to get himself free, and was now wielding the sword given to him. When he realized Kenja was free he would dispel his cloud of cherry blossom shaped mana, to avoid hitting his partner with any friendly fire. Once the spell was down the battle would continue in a bit more of a direct fashion, as the sounds of chains hitting metal would become a frequent thing. [BREAK][BREAK] As the battle intensified Kenja would come through to be the voice of reason and remind Asahi of their mission. He made sure to tell Asahi that they were there to capture the criminal and not kill him, causing anger to erupt from the young male. “Stop trying to tell me what to do! Those are orders you agree with, I will handle my victims how I see fit! You got a problem with how I do things stop me, oh wait you can’t!” The last bit most likely being a low blow to the fact Kenja couldn’t use magic at the time. [BREAK][BREAK] Soon after Kenja made his remark about the goal of their mission, the chain wizard would try to launch what seemed like a hail marry attack. 4 chains sprang forward with 2 going to Asahi and 2 going for Kenja. Asahi was able to use his blade to deflect the 2 chains coming towards himself, however he could tell from the strength of the magic that these chains were stronger than the ones before. In short these chains would break Asahi’s mundane katana if Kenja tried to block it with them, and so he used the first thing he could think of to block the chains… and that was his body. [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi had allowed the chains to puncture his torso, in exchange for his partner being unharmed. He would then grab hold of the chains currently coming from his body as he coughed up a small bit of blood. “I told you that I won’t die here, and neither will anyone else! So give me something better than that!” The magic knight was badly injured but he was also very fired up, something he would need in order to finish off the chain wizard. He would drag himself towards the chain wizard as he cut the chains inside of him, thus making them dispel. As the adrenaline within him started pumping he would suddenly get what seemed like one last burst of energy, as he ran towards the chain wizard and stabbed him in the torso. Although he was stabbed in the torso, upon closer inspection the wound seemed superficial.
