The battle between Asahi and the Chain Wizard continued to rage, the clash of weapons and magic filling the air with tension. Kenja's intervention had been aimed at maintaining the mission's focus – to capture the Chain Wizard and bring him to justice. However, Asahi's response was a heated declaration of his own principles and methods. The young Magic Knight's anger was palpable, and his words lashed out at Kenja's inability to use magic at the moment. Their clash of perspectives and ideals continued to simmer beneath the surface of the battle. As Kenja heard Asahi's sharp words about his lack of magic and his status as a Magic Knight, a Ravencrest, and a royal, a wave of conflicting emotions washed over him. The familiarity of his own insecurities and pride collided within him, stirring a mix of frustration and determination. He thinks he's better because of his Platinum Grimoire, because of his way with words and his abilities, Kenja thought, his inner voice laced with both irritation and self-reflection. But I am a Ravencrest, a royal. My lineage, my upbringing, they carry weight. My duty as a Magic Knight, to protect and serve, is not something to be belittled. Kenja's mind quickly reminded him to remain calm, to not let Asahi's taunts goad him into hasty actions or words. The inner turmoil he felt was balanced by a steadfast resolve, a conviction that his skills, his upbringing, and his purpose as a Magic Knight all held value, regardless of the temporary absence of his magic. He may question my abilities now, but I'll show him, and myself, when my magic returns, Kenja thought, his tone resolute. My actions will speak louder than words. I'll prove my worth on my own terms.
As the battle continued, Kenja channeled this mix of emotions into his movements. His strikes were precise, his focus strong, and his commitment to the mission unshaken. Amidst the chaos, he found a center of calm determination, driven by his desire to prove himself and contribute to the fight. In the midst of their argument, the Chain Wizard seized the opportunity to launch a desperate and powerful attack. Chains sprang forth in a hail of metal, aiming for both Asahi and Kenja. Asahi's quick reflexes allowed him to deflect the chains aimed at him, but when he saw the force and power behind the chains, he made a split-second decision. Asahi sacrificed his own safety, allowing the chains to puncture his own body in order to protect Kenja from harm. The impact was immediate, the pain searing through him. Blood stained his clothing as he held onto the chains, his resolve and fury undiminished.
In the face of his wounds, Asahi's anger only intensified to Kenja's perspective. Dragging himself forward, he yanked the chains from his own body, his voice strained but unyielding. His defiance was a rallying cry. Seizing a final surge of energy, Asahi lunged forward, his blade finding its mark as it struck the Chain Wizard's torso. The wound, however, appeared superficial, leaving the Chain Wizard to respond with an unsettling mixture of laughter and glee. His attention fixated on the blood, the Chain Wizard seemed lost in a disturbing euphoria. This momentary distraction proved to be his downfall. With eerie satisfaction, he reveled in the pain, allowing Kenja the opportunity he needed. With swift and precise movements, Kenja closed the distance, delivering a series of powerful punches to the Chain Wizard's kidney from behind. The force of the blows, fueled by Kenja's formidable strength, struck with intensity. The Chain Wizard's laughter turned to cries of pain as the punches landed, his grip on the situation slipping. In that critical moment, Kenja's tactics had turned the tide. The Chain Wizard's hold on the battle was weakened, allowing both Magic Knights a chance to capitalize on their combined efforts and bring the fight to an end.
Broke from the unmaintained restraints and after an opening presented itself punched the Chain wizard in the kidneys from behind doing intermediate Damage three times. Chain wizard is ready for capture or death depending on Asahi's actions.
[attr="class","augusttext"] After Asahi would stab the chain wizard he would laugh, as he saw the pain as very little to effect him. *I missed his vitals… I feel dizzy.* It would appear that with Asahi in a slowed state that the wizard would take the moment to end the young knight. However this would not come to pass as Kenja would seize the moment to attack the wizard and knock him out for the count. The wizard would fall to the ground, body in a lifeless like state, with Asahi and Kenja standing over him. The black bull mage would use his sword to prop himself up to a proper standing position before saying “Not so tough now huh, little Apple?” A slight laugh escaped his lips as he spoke. [BREAK][BREAK] It was at this time where Asahi would look to Kenja before saying “Dont take this… as if I have a problem with YOU. I just have a problem with how this world made you turn out.” The statement was clear yet somewhat riddle like, he hoped Kenja would understand. He would take his sword and hold it above the man before saying “Kenja you have yet to learn what real justice is, you only know what that noble sense of pride tells you. And that will be your downfall. I may be a commoner but I have experienced life, and all that comes with it. That’s something your noble teachers and such can’t teach you about.” [BREAK][BREAK] The sword would begin to swing downward, and it would seem as if Asahi had indeed decided to kill the chain wizard. As the sword would drop to the ground it would not find its way into the captured criminal but instead it would find its way into the cloak he wore. He would then cut the cloak from the man’s body before picking it up and taking it for himself. He would then dispel his blade before looking to Kenja and saying “I will let this one pass for you Ravencrest…” his voice seemed slightly diminished in energy. He would then begin to walk away at a very slow pace, most likely to seek medical attention. As he limped off he would say to Kenja “I made sure you stayed safe so you could go file that paperwork. Have fun with your captive, my friend.” [BREAK][BREAK] [Exit]

As Asahi started walking away from the scene, his words echoing in the air, Kenja couldn't help but reflect on the underlying differences in their beliefs. He knew that Asahi's approach to justice was driven by his own experiences, shaped by the harsh realities of life he had encountered. Breaking his silence Kenja would address his friend.
"Asahi you confuse the the path of justice and the temptation of vigilantism. Justice, my friend, stands as a beacon of fairness, founded on the principles of equality and respect for the law and to people. It's the path we, as Magic Knights, have chosen to uphold. Vigilantism, on the other hand, tempts us with its allure and the desire to take immediate action, to right perceived wrongs...and in some cases take the law into your own hands. You hate people being over you but you yourself are trying to become judge and jury, and in turn, trying to put yourself over others yourself. I speak these words as a friend so that you may see the hypocrisy in the vigilante outlook. Asahi, in our pursuit of justice, I understand your passion and the fire that burns within you. But anger, driven by your past and your sense of duty, must not cloud the clarity of one's mission. Our role as Magic Knights is to capture, not to judge. To protect, not to avenge. The distinction lies in our commitment to principles above personal emotions. My friend... as you walk away wounded, let this experience shape you. Let it remind you that being a protector of justice means rising above our personal vendettas. And as your fellow Magic Knight, I'll be here to walk this path with you, reminding you of the strength we find in unity and adherence to our calling. I hope these words have rung true the next time we meet."
As the distance between them grew, Kenja's thoughts crystallized into a need to address these distinctions. Justice and vigilantism, Kenja mused inwardly as he watched Asahi's figure disappear into the distance. Two paths that may lead to similar outcomes, yet differ greatly in their principles and execution. His thoughts turned introspective, examining Asahi's fierce anger that had fueled his actions. He pondered whether Asahi's sense of accomplishment, of having "saved" Kenja, was in fact deluded by his anger, a manifestation of his own pride masked by frustration. Kenja acknowledged that while he had been in a vulnerable position, his training and durability were substantial enough to withstand the Chain Wizard's attack. He realized that Asahi's concern, though genuine, might have been influenced by his own emotions to make it seem as if he was equal or better. Could it be that his anger masked a deeper need to assert his own capabilities? Kenja questioned silently, his analytical mind seeking understanding.
As his contemplations deepened, Kenja's gaze shifted to the fallen Chain Wizard. He approached, taking the grimoire in hand to secure the captive. The mayor led group townspeople and volunteers to bind the once-feared Chain Wizard. Kenja meticulously secured the wizard with chains. Oh, the irony!!! With the wizard captured and shackled, he set out to the royal capital to deliver long awaited justice. The tables had turned, as the symbol of fear now symbolized defeat, marking a pivotal step toward his judgment so that the families, the victims could find peace.
