Eustace woke early that morning and took the time to prepare for his real first day as a Magic Knight. This was the day that he was to receive his first assignment, and he was going to make sure that he impressed on day one. After getting ready, he took a walk around the Golden Dawn's headquarters and arrived a few minutes early to the location he was ordered to be at by his squad captain to receive his first mission. He was told that he was to secure a sword of some sort in the Forsaken Region and bring it back to the Royal Capital. Apparently, there was enough interest in the relic by some archeologists that they requested the Magic Knights to retrieve it and bring it back, intending to put it on display in a new museum. Eustace didn't care much about the details, he would make sure to bring it back in one piece, that was all that mattered. He made the mistake in assuming that his first mission would be with some of the squad mates he had met the day prior, or any squad mates for that matter, but it seemed like he was supposed to meet up with a Magic Knight from another squad once he arrived in the Forsaken Region. It wasn't a big deal, but the big fish that he needed to foster relationships with were in his own squad, the Golden Dawn, not any of the other squads. He shrugged it off however, a job was a job. and he was going to just get it over with. That was the other thing, his first mission was so lame. He didn't expect to get anything crazy assigned off the bat, but picking up a sword was so, boring. Once again, he reminded himself that a job was a job and he needed to succeed, nonetheless. If he continued to have successful missions, it wouldn't take long before he was assigned the fun stuff.

[break][break]Once he reached the edges of the Forsaken Region, Eustace rested up against a wooden sign with his arms crossed. He arrived as fast as he could to the meeting location with the other Magic Knight, so he wasn't surprised that he was first to arrive. He did hope that the other knight being sent wasn't a complete rookie like himself. He didn't want to babysit on top of his already mundane assignment. He couldn't remember what squad dealt with problems in the Forsaken Region either, so he had no idea if he was going to be working with a Black Bull, or a Green Mantis. He supposed it didn't matter too much; it wouldn't take long for him to recover the sword himself if he had to.
