The Minotaur attacks had done a lot of damage to others. There were people who watched their homes burn and got smashed to pieces. The pain loved ones had to experience was enough to make them suffer. In the end, they relied on the magic knights who were doing the best they could to not only save the people but to also ensure that they felt safe and protected. In that, they weren’t 100% successful. Many felt like they were subject to another attack at any given time and so it was up to the magic knights to decide if they were going to end it once and for all. That meant finding out the source and destroying it whether it be man or monster.

If they were going to get to the bottom of the Minotaur attacks then they would need information. Being tasked to figure out where they were coming from, Taiyo decided he needed to speak with people who encountered the beasts before and survived. That brought him back to Sosshi. There had to be something to be found. If things were going to be done then all the information that was available needed to be known. The survivor, Laric, was a pretty lucky guy. Maybe he had some more information on the beasts. Other than him, maybe a guard survived one of the attacks and had a bit of information to share about the Minotaurs.

Taiyo sighed. He wanted to find the threat and put an end to it but he first needed to find out information by talking to others. He hoped that in doing so he would get all the information he needed to find the Minotaurs and put them down. The last time he fought off the threat, he had his ex-girlfriend at his side. It was even rather rewarding. It allowed her to unlock her latent potential and her very first spell. All he needed to do was get ‘hurt’ even if it was simply a scratch. He humiliated and destroyed the Minotaur by grabbing its ax and breaking it by sheer might. It was effortless and he wasn’t even trying. Maybe it was doing that that spooked his ex. The difference in power was known in that confrontation. Was the dagger he carried the reason for his change in demeanor during the battle? There were a few questions about that if he was being honest. On the other hand, did Beasts like that deserve his respect? They destroyed because they wanted to harm others without an actual reason. There was nothing, no pathetic reason behind their destruction. So why should he respect such a creature? Maybe he was looking at it the wrong way.

On this mission, Taiyo wasn’t going to be alone. He was going to be accompanying his Vice-Captain, Hania Ravencrest. This was probably for the best too. He quickly dawned his mantle and grabbed his broom. He hopped on board and took flight.

As he flew, he looked at the land below. It was rather cloudy and windy that day which didn’t really bother him much. When he made it to the town, he landed and waited for his Vice-Captain to arrive.
