Following up on the talk from the townsfolk, the area they pointed you to and whatever tracks you might have found, you have headed north. Due to the tracks being somewhat hard to miss due to their sheer size, you also encounter a few large dead predators along the way such as bears. Because of the size and strength of a bear, and the state the body seems to be in, it seems to have been picked up, beaten around a few times and was eventually thrown to its death. Doing your best to identify what might have done it, and where it might have gone next due to the kerfuffle having caused quite a bit of track, scratch and drag marks all over the place, you are set upon by a band of hungry Wargs who consider you to be a threat that seeks to take away their dinner; otherwise known as the dead bear.

Maximum Number of Players: 2 [break]Minimum Word Count: 2500 [break]Location: The Fringe [break]Special Requirements: Having gone far enough north to where you’ve left the forsaken realm and ventured into the fringe, the bear you needed to inspect and the battle which killed him has attracted hungry wargs. Either kill them or send them running to their dens with their tails between their legs, but remain wary. If you destroy the surrounding area, you risk destroying the tracks, meaning you made your way over here for nothing. As such, using spells that would destroy the surrounding area equals automatic mission failure, so be clever about it.

What NPCs are in this mission? Please fill out the template for any notable NPCs. While those you have to socially interact with during the mission are not required, any enemy that is presented in the mission must be listed here.
Health Limit: Intermediate [break]Physical Speed: 15 m/s [break]Physical Damage: Intermediate [break]Magic Element and Types: - [break]Combat Style: As is the case with the average wolf, wargs fight in packs by drawing their attention one way while another attacks from the blind spot in an attempt at ripping out their target’s throat and finishing the fight. Unlike wolves, however, their physical strength is greater, capable of using their weight and speed to knock one over with a tackle. [break]Additional Information: Unlike the wargs found within the forsaken realm, the wargs in the fringe are slightly taller, a bit more slender, faster and more clever. Having larger enemies and prey that they need to contend with here whereas they are considered an apex predator within the forsaken realm, they evolved to be more cunning and resilient. Don’t take them lightly.
Health Limit: Senior [break]Physical Speed: 20 m/s [break]Physical Damage: Senior [break]Magic Element and Types: - [break]Combat Style: The alpha fights along with the rest of his pack, utilizing diversion tactics with speed and striking power, not to mention its ability to breathe flame. Capable of spitting fire in an outward cone-shaped manner, it can quickly set up to five meters of space on fire. Funny enough, this is also what it uses to prepare its meals for consumption. Being both faster and stronger than the average warg, this is the one you’ll want to look out for. [break]Additional Information: This scarred, older looking warg is the leader of his pack, which is saying something as wargs constantly contend for leadership, doing so at least once or twice a month. Because of its age and having been saturated in natural mana in a nearby strong magic region, this particular one has gained more than just a fiery temper. It can actually spitfire!
[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] She was glad that Jevi was honest; she was the same, but there was a danger in bearing your all in their world as there was always someone looking for your downfall. It seemed even more apparent the higher you were in nobility, she didn't really have that concern but she was still careful with how she behaved and acted while around others. "I can understand wanting to be honest, I would love to do the same but feelings and such can be used against a person as a weakness which is something rather I would like to avoid if possible." she said with a gentle tone showing that she had no issue with such a thing but that he should be careful when and where he did such a thing as a friend not could become an enemy tomorrow. They could use the knowledge they had against them. [break][break] She hoped he understood why it was important at times to hide his feelings "I suspect this is why Hania works in undertones and micro-expressions as then there's no true way to get a good read on him." she said looking to the sky as they continued to walk north. "Then again he does show warmth openly to children from what I have seen." she said calmly, showing that even Hania understood there were times when he couldn't use his normal methods. She stopped walking for a moment "Also, remember it isn't just nobles who will aim for that target on your back, even commoners look for ways to bring others down for whatever reason." she cautioned him as she began to walk once more. "I do not fit in with most nobles, in fact, even in the imperial court I would be seen as shameful." she said honestly with a weak smile. [break][break] "I should already be wed and trying to create a family with a prince or lord, however, I am a magic knight who is betrothed to a commoner that I fell in love with." she felt no shame admitting where her heart belonged or that she had a strong sense of duty not only to her family but to her kingdom. "Even if you don't fit in and use it as an excuse to find your path, don't shut the door completely." she said with a quiet tone as she believed that he may regret it. "You never know what the future holds and you do not strike me as the type of person who may wish your last words or actions to your parents or family members to be said or done out of spite." she said offering her opinion though it was clear she was unsure if she should do such a thing. [break][break] "I am sure your mother is beautiful." she didn't want to believe the person was dead and so used the present tense. "You should visit home, even if it's a short one, I am sure your family would love to see you." she said noticing the warm tone he had when speaking of his mother. "If it makes you feel more comfortable I can accompany you." she knew that people tended to act differently when there were guests so whatever issues he and his father may have would be held at bay even if it was only for the time she was there. Just by the small amount of time she had spent with him, she could tell there was friction between Jevi and his father as what they wanted didn't align, it also seemed as if Jevi was going out of his way to stifle his growth just to spite his father. [break][break] "Jevi, you know there's nothing wrong with your wants to align with your father's wants for you." she said her voice small showing she was still unsure if she should be stepping into this territory but she believed he may need help to navigate the issues and feelings he was feeling on the matter. "He might have done it in a misguided way but he wanted the best for you and your family." she said feeling the same in regards to her own family in some ways. "What is important isn't if the end ends up the same but how you get to that point." she said her tone still low "I'm not saying that your feelings are invalid and that you shouldn't be true to yourself but I am saying you shouldn't stop getting to that endpoint just because your father wants you to get there because it weakens you as a person." she said her tone showing concern for him. [break][break] She smiled gently "It would be impolite of me to think of you any other way Jevi, you have not shown me a reason to think of you as anything else." she said honestly to him. "And I am thankful for this Jevi." she said looking to the ground stopping and blinking as she saw prints in the mud. "Jevi have a look at this." she motioned towards them. She knew he didn't want to play the noble game but it unfortunately was something they both needed to play thanks to the families they had been born into, but that didn't have to be all they were known for as their actions would prove that they were more than what was expected of them. "You had far more lenient tutors than I did then." she said noticing how bashful he had been in regards to missing etiquette lessons. [break][break] "What do you think made these?" she would ask coming back to the issue at hand, she knelt and looked in which direction they were going "Whatever it is, it's big." she said though didn't seem concerned about the threat awaiting them at the end of this mystery. Standing she turned her eyes towards him "I am not saying stop being yourself and doing what you believe is right but sometimes you need to take detours to get to the destination just because its simpler." she said her tone showing that piece of advice was from personal experience. "I doubt he thinks of you in such a way Jevi, if he did he would completely ignore you and wouldn't want you to work with those he respects." showing Hania was always methodical with how he did things. [break][break] "I wouldn't worry about bothering Hania, pretty sure he sees everything in such a manner." she said bringing up a sleeve-covered hand as she chuckled lightly. He wasn't a people person and was often a recluse from what she knew when he managed to get time off as rare as that might be. She watched as he touched his grimoire again "I know you may think it a daunting task that I put before you but it's only as hard as you make it out to be. A four-leaf clover is not something to take lightly as an ally or an enemy but it's only a shackle if you allow it to be as some of the most powerful mages we have have very basic elements." she said with a warm tone showing him he was only a slave to the things he let concern him. [break][break] She stepped back before he could touch her head and shook it "It is improper." she said with a gentle tone, in honesty, she shouldn't have gotten so close to him but at the same time it was clear he needed the comfort that came from it. Her eyes glistened as she looked up at him but noticing his cough she looked away quickly taking it as a sign things were getting awkward between them. "I barely know you and yet I am talking about things I shouldn't Jevi." she was truly upset about overstepping boundaries "Where I come from private matters are not spoken about in the open and especially not with strangers but you seem to be struggling and so I wanted..." she held her sleeves once more "I wanted to bring you peace of mind over something you are clearly struggling with." she said sounding like she was ready to cry. [break][break] Before she knew it he had taken her hands in his own making her look up at him stopping how she was feeling, the clear start of tears in her eyes. "J... Jevi..." she quickly pulled her hands back her head turning as a faint blush appeared on her cheeks, she wasn't accustomed to touching in such a manner outside of her family, even her touch and embraces with Valo were rare given her upbringing. The one thing she found strange was unlike when others attempted to touch her outside of her family and Valo she didn't flinch or find herself tensing. She was confused by the array of emotions and thoughts she felt, for now she knew she shouldn't think about it as the task they were on was more important. [break][break] "There were rumours that I would have to find someone to fight as my proxy but that would prove nothing of my talents only the one that was fighting." she said quietly "It was insulting to me to hear that was ever going to be a possibility." she said her voice sounded hurt but she shook her head "But Zaven done right by me and for that I am thankful." she said smiling once more, she sighed watching as he took in her words "There's nothing wrong with things aligning Jevi and hindering yourself to try to prove a point proves nothing that you are a fool who can see only a fraction of a larger picture." she said starting to walk once more following the tracks "How could I tell? The conversation we have been having and your movements have been very telling about what is on your mind, you truly wear your heart and everything else on your sleeve." she said looking back at him. [break][break] "You may want to train yourself to be more guarded as someone could take full advantage of it." she warned him once more, she wasn't like that but he seemed like a nice person and she didn't want him hurt or taken advantage of as many would in this world. She smiled and nodded "That is all anyone can ask of you Jevi and even if you fall I'll be there to help you stand back up and heal you as you require." she said showing it wasn't a path he'd have to walk alone, she'd be there as he needed her. She would continue walking until she stopped and looked around. "I could be wrong but I don't think we are in the Forsaken Region anymore." she commented, she already knew that Junjie was going to end up being worried and then scold her for not letting him know what was going on.

Kikka is a town known to be the defensive foot-hold for the Clover Kingdom, it is the town that sits in the grey area of what could be considered the noble region and the common region. It is due to this that there is a diverse range of people and backgrounds that called this place home. [break][break] A young fire mage found himself getting into trouble when he decided to steal some vegetables from a garden of jewellers. The mother of the family was the one that caught him and even told the boy and his mother that they just needed to ask due to them having more than enough. It was the beginning of a new bond between the family and the fire mage. [break][break] Over time the boy grew and where he was wanting to learn the next flashy fire move from the former purple orca. She would tell him that he needed to learn how to walk before he tried to run or those he cared about would get burned by those same flames that treasured so much. Of course, being young he didn't understand what she was getting at. [break][break] The woman's husband attempted to teach the street smart and somewhat rough male his craft. He, of course, got bored real quickly because crafting jewellery was a slow process that often was very detail orientated. Still, the man tried. On the day the fire mage was scheduled to leave Kikka for the exams the man called the young mage into his workshop. [break][break] He was just finishing up a double ring set and told him to put every wish and promise he could into a single flame and release it onto the ring. Somewhat sceptical the fire mage did what he was asked and thought it was for some sort of trinket for the woman that had helped him grow. The man placed the ring into a box and handed it to the budding mage. [break][break] "Valo, we see you as our son and we are proud to see the man you've grown into. You've helped create something that is unique and special, keep it with you and give it to someone that you believe deserves what you put into it." [break][break] The now young man gave bravado with his normal attitude but took the ring. He held onto it for three years until something terrible happened. The family that he had loved so much was taken from him. The one that had seen him at his most vulnerable and had helped him through the grief was a young woman. A woman who themselves couldn't fight due to their beliefs. [break][break] He remembered the ring from all those years ago and offered it to her, telling her if she was ever in danger just to call him and he'd come running.

This ability heals for junior rank damage, this ability will also actively attempt to cleanse those being healed by it from any debuffs, poisons, hexes, curses, venoms as per the clashing rules.

When a connection is made an identical book is created in front of that person with the casters name so they know who is contacting them. As those communicating speak the pages start to fill in with blue flaming text as if being written, this is so facts can be looked over at a later point while the spell is active. As this is only junior currently only one person may be contacted at a time. If used for reinforcements the person being asked must wait 2 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter, as this ability grows stronger it will allow for contacting people in other areas, if contacting people in other areas and requesting aid they must wait 4 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter.

A warm gift for Hinota Yuiee. After spending a few weeks away from the flower mage, Valo had crafted a beautiful bracelet as a gift for her. To show her that he cares about her, and he plans to do better by her. He never wants to spend weeks away from her again. And as a symbol for his commitment, he got Warmth's Embrace made for her.[break][break]

Somehow it felt incredibly easy to Hinota, even when she held a much higher position both socially and as a magic knight. Jevi had no trouble admitting to her that he preferred to be honest no matter what. In his opinion feelings were only a natural part of being human, and no matter your birth circumstances they were all human. Granted, he was part elf, but that didn’t change anything when it came to having feelings, wishes, desires and wants. Though he was well-aware that Hinota spoke the truth when she said feelings could be seen as a weakness and had a chance to be exploited. “I know you are right, but I refuse to live in a world where I can’t express myself openly. So, if I have to, I’ll fight back against those who would try to hurt me.” Was he strong enough to make such bold claims? No, but it wasn’t going to stop him from doing so either way. A life lived behind a mask was no life at all, and he was prepared to face the consequences of living without one.
[break][break]
Their conversation continued, as Hinota explained that she believed this is why Hania operated the way he did, so nothing could be used against him. Jevi felt a bit of pity for the man, but he understood that Hania held a different position than he did and that he had been in that position for a long time too. However, he showed warmth to children openly, revealing his more affectionate side. “Likely because children are honest too, so he feels no need to hide around them.” Jevi mused, giving his own two cents. Children had a sense of wonder and honesty that adults could only dream of one day retrieving. When Hinota mentioned it wasn’t just nobles who would try to take him down, Jevi nodded as he was well-aware of how commoners felt about nobles. “Given their position, it is hard to blame them.” A lot of nobles treated commoners like second-rate citizens, their anger was justified and Jevi would never deny that.
[break][break]
It was surprising to hear Hinota say she didn’t fit in with the nobles either when Jevi mentioned he wasn’t cute out for the noble life. In the imperial court in the East she would even be seen as shameful, causing Jevi to frown a little. Who would call such a sweet and kind lady shameful? Not to mention so accomplished at such a young age. The weak smile did not go unnoticed, but all Jevi could do was listen. In the eyes of the imperial court she should have already been wed to a prince or lord and be trying to expand the family, yet she was a magic knight and betrothed to a commoner who she fell in love with. So she did have a partner. That only made sense, someone as desirable as her was unlikely to be without one. Why did that bother him, though? Shouldn’t he be happy for her? “Then marriage isn’t too far away, is it?” Jevi gave her a smile, showing no sign of disapproval of her love to a commoner as obviously he didn’t feel like that was wrong. Though even as he said this, he knew her family likely thought otherwise given the man’s heritage.
[break][break]
Once more Hinota would give him advice he needed to hear, telling him that even if he didn’t fit in with the nobles and used it as an excuse to go his own way he shouldn’t close the door completely. She clearly didn’t want him to have any regrets, and told him he didn’t strike her as a man who would want his final actions towards his family to be done out of spite. He sighed softly, shaking his head a little as he didn’t want to dwell on it too much even when she was right, again. “You make a good point, as difficult as it is to admit that.” The comment about his mother’s beauty made him smile, as he nodded without hesitation. “She is, I’m fortunate to take after her.” He chuckled a bit at his good-natured joke about his looks as he shared her hair and eye color.
[break][break]
Though when she mentioned he should visit home, Jevi fell silent a bit as he contemplated what that would look like. Probably a lot of yelling from his father. “I’m not sure…” Even when she offered to go with him, Jevi couldn’t help but shake his head and let out a sigh. “I could not possibly ask that of you, Hinota. Though, you are incredibly kind for offering.” There was no way that he was going to make a princess sit through an awkward meeting with his family, even if her presence would more than likely soften his father up immensely as he wouldn’t want to make a bad impression on her. Still, the friction would be there and if their talks couldn’t be open then nothing would be accomplished with the visit in Jevi’s eyes. The only way there could be any progression is if he confronted his father head on, which he had avoided doing for the past three or so years.
[break][break]
It also troubled him that his own wants and desires ended up aligning with his father’s in the end. If he did follow the path of advancing his career and becoming stronger, he’d only be playing in his father’s hands and achieve what he had been telling him to achieve all along. Even if it was on his own terms in this case, it still didn’t feel right to him. Though Hinota assured him that it was alright if his wants aligned with his father’s. He might have been misguided in how he approached it, but she was certain his father wanted the best for him. She continued by telling him that it didn’t matter if the ends were the same, but it was how he got there that mattered. That didn’t mean his feelings were invalid, but that she saw he was holding himself back and it was hurting him. “Thank you. I needed to hear that.” He spoke softly as well, letting out a sigh to let his troubled feelings leave his body for now. It was going to take some time to consider how he was going to approach things from now on, but Hinota had been very helpful in letting him see things differently.
[break][break]
The fact Hinota saw him as a gentleman was something Jevi was happy to hear. It was also good to hear that she was thankful for the fact he was willing to address her by her first name. “Of course.” It was no trouble for him, though soon they were focused on the task at hand once more. Right, they were on a mission. He nodded and followed her lead, checking the prints in the ground as she mentioned he had far more lenient tutors than she did. “Oh I doubt it, I just dealt with the consequences of slacking off.” He smirked a bit, his more playful side showing. He had endured many scoldings and more, but to him it was all worth it to escape those boring lectures. Jevi knelt down to take a closer look at the prints, and by all accounts they made no sense. “I want to say it’s a bear print, but then the other print here is throwing me off…they look to be of the same creature, and yet it doesn’t match.” He brought his hand to his chin in thought as he stood back up, nodding at her assessment that it was a large creature. “It would seem that way.” Not that that scared him, and so they continued on their way north to try and track it down.
[break][break]
They spoke a bit more about Hania and how she doubted he’d see Jevi as a fool or a nuisance, or at least not more than he saw other people as a nuisance. The conversation turned a bit heavier after that, as Hinota poked his forehead and reminded him that his grimoire and magic didn’t define him, nor did the other magic knights around him. It may be seen as a daunting task she put on him, but she assured him it was only as hard as he made it. The four-leaf grimoire was not to be taken lightly, but could just as easily become a shackle if he allowed it to be. He sighed softly, a relaxed smile on his face. “You are right.” Though seeing her retract herself from him, saying it was improper to be this close made him frown. They had been getting along really well, but suddenly she took her distance? By all accounts, it didn’t make sense to him. Had he overstepped a boundary he was unaware of? No, she was fretting over the boundary she believed to have crossed by getting so personal with him.
[break][break]
To Jevi, she had not crossed any boundary. He didn’t think it was improper for them to talk about personal things, but due to her upbringing she couldn’t help herself from believing otherwise. All she wanted to do was help him with his struggles, and he was grateful for that. Why would he ever take offense to someone trying to help him lift the heavy weight he felt on his shoulders? The way she covered her face and looked like she was about to burst into tears moved Jevi into action to fix this, so he took her hands and moved them away from her face as he reassured her that he didn’t mind talking to her about his personal business. To see her look up at him with tears brimming in her beautiful, emerald colored eyes broke his heart. When she looked away, he noted the way she blushed so faintly and heard his name spoken ever so softly on her lips.
[break][break]
The elf sighed softly, a gentle and warm smile on his face. “Hinota…” His voice was barely a whisper, yet his tone was laced with genuine care and warmth. He brought up his right hand, gently wiping her tears from each eye as he spoke in a soft tone. “Don’t cry, princess. You’d only ruin your beautiful makeup.” Once her tears were taken care of, he lowered his hand once more, not wanting to touch her more than he felt was necessary. His icy blue orbs lingered on her emerald ones once more, and he could not mistake the rapidly increasing beating of his heart. Yet…she was betrothed. Her heart belonged to another, so all he could do was take in the sight of this moment; of her shimmering green eyes, and let it go. “Please don’t feel sorry, because I’ve been needing someone to reach out to me…someone like you.” He genuinely felt like he had been waiting for someone to see through him, and point him in a better direction. To stop him from second guessing himself and start going after the things he wanted regardless of whether it would play into his father’s hands or not. Hinota had been nothing but helpful, and he was grateful to the princess for it.
[break][break]
Thankfully they had a mission to focus on to keep their minds off of the array of emotions that were on display. Their conversation continued with regards to her test to become captain, and how happy she was Zaven accommodated the test to her specific talents. Having someone fight for her would not have been fair, as it would not prove her own talents whatsoever. “You’ve earned it.” He gave her a smile. Someone like her was deserving to be captain, as he could tell she cared so much for her squad and the kingdom. Perhaps one day he could become a man worthy of sharing the same position as her, and find himself next to her as equals. He rubbed the back of his head as she scolded him for what he had been doing the past years, and she even commented on how he wore not just his heart but everything on his sleeve. “I’ve always been that way. Becoming more guarded is…not an easy task for me.” Then again, he knew she spoke the truth and had nothing but his best interest at heart.
[break][break]
Though she made his heart act up once more when she mentioned she’d always be there to help him back up if he fell. To think he had someone as amazing as her in his corner made him blush again, especially due to the small moment they had shared just before. “I’ll…keep that in mind. Thank you.” It was unlike him to rely on others when it came to his personal struggles. Just because he didn’t mind sharing them, didn’t mean he was good at accepting help with them. Would it really be okay to bother someone as important as Hinota with his issues? Hers were likely far larger in comparison, and yet here she was offering her time and support to him; a complete stranger up until today. The princess had such a big heart, and yet she was stifled by tradition and those around her. Life really wasn’t fair, was it?

Again, the mission saved the day as Jevi regained his focus when she mentioned they may not be in the Forsaken Region anymore. It prompted the elf to look around and take in the feel of the surroundings before he nodded in agreement. “I believe you’re right. Now I wonder if our wanted creature is nearby…” As he mused over that, he began to look around for more tracks like the ones they had spotted before going as far as moving some leaves from the ground just to clear up the dirt more. It didn’t take all that long to find some prints that were similar. “Hinota, look here. We might be able to follow these tracks to find our culprit.” They were unmistakably the same ones, and again there were prints mixed in that did not make much sense. More and more Jevi began to believe this creature was an amalgamation of multiple in one, but whether that was true was left to be seen. “Let’s continue, shall we?”

Their talks continue on, and Jevi tries to comfort Hinota as well before they focus on the task at hand. Jevi finds the same prints, believing they can follow said prints to their culprit.
Due to the lunar year just passing, a craftsman in the town of Hage teaching a new class of apprentices decided to make it a class project. They were to make small trinkets out of oak that look like oxen as with all learners things didn't go as planned and they ended up making derpy looking oxen. The shopkeeper decided to buy everything as she found out that all the proceeds were going to help with the rebuilding of Kikka.[break]
Stats Affected: 25% junior buff to strength[break]
Description:[break]
The holder of this small trinket seems to hold the strength of an oxen allowing them to deal a bit more damage than is normal. Unlike normal items this item seems to grow in strength the stronger the bond it has with the owner much like a spirit or relic allowing this to be trained up to a grand ability. Once bought it is bound to the account it is on and can't be sold back to the store.
[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] She could already tell that they were kindred spirits as they both preferred to be open and honest about things, the difference was it didn't seem like he was willing to protect himself and those around him by not putting on a mask when it was required. She admired him for such a brazen statement but she couldn't and wouldn't live in such a way, she understood that her actions spoke louder than any words could but given her position she knew her words held a lot of sway so she needed to be careful. "I admire that, however, think of it from another point of view. Other than yourself, who else could that honesty hurt because you aren't a lone tree in this world." she reminded him, she wasn't trying to be cruel with her words but the blowback could end up on his family, his squad, his friends and his partner if he had one. [break][break] She looked down her eyes closing "A brave person fights battles that come their way but a smart one knows when and how to choose them. At current you are the former and so out of balance with yourself." she said her tone seeming saddened at this knowledge but she was sure that he would come to understand that such masks had their uses. "The question is what will you do when that honesty ends up hurting someone who can't fight back?" she would ask him, she didn't want to be so harsh and hoped he understood what she was trying to get through to him. "There are many kinds of battles in this world and not all of them are physical and those which aren't can have far more fallout." she said knowing that Hania himself had destroyed at least one family just by his words because he perceived them as a threat. [break][break] "I wouldn't dare hazard a guess what goes through your vice-captain's mind and why he acts such a way when it comes to certain people." she said with a warm smile, even she, who had become close to the man still found him as an enigma wrapped in a mystery. "Some nobles are terrible even now but from my understanding, they are still a far sight better than they were a hundred or so years ago." she said thoughtfully "And I don't think it's so much their position but I can't argue that will likely play a part but it's within our natures to want those who we deem better to fall and taste even a hint of what we do." She on the whole knew she was very privileged even within her gilded cage but there were still many she envied including Valo. [break][break] She noticed the man's frown as she opened her eyes "You do not like how I speak of home?" she asked him "It is a sad truth, I am far from a perfect daughter in my family's eyes even if I do try my best." it was a truth that she accepted. "I mean I could stop serving my kingdom, let my family know that Valo isn't a noble, I could go to my homeland and take the entrance exam to the imperial harem or be wed off to a prince or lord, make my entire life about them and having children and honour my family as they wish." she looked at him the smile still there "Or I protect the ones here that require it with more than just my words." she said her voice was soft but held a resolve that she wouldn't change her path willingly. [break][break] She shook her head at his question "It isn't even in the planning stages at current." she explained "It's far more complicated than usual as we are of two different cultures." she continued "If I was betrothed to an eastern man then there is a good chance I would have already been wed, however, Valo is western with western sensibilities and so our betrothal is also courting." She looked to the ground frowning, it had been quite some time since she had last seen him. She knew like herself he had recently become a captain of the Black Bulls, she had no idea he had transferred squads, it was upsetting that they seemed to be drifting apart. She made a note to go and visit him as it seemed as if they had a serious discussion to have in the not-so-distant future. [break][break] "Never aim to have regrets, be absolute in everything you do." she said listening to him saying that she was right once again in regards to him not closing the door. "As much as you may not like to admit it, I am sure some of your looks come from your father also." she said knowing that it was the genetics of two that created a child. She could tell that it was a joke just by his actions but it honestly made her wonder how deep that wound with his father went and if there would be any way to mend it or if it would forever be something that remained open and sore. "You are not asking, I am offering Jevi." she said her tone happy "I know it won't relieve all tension nor allow for open complete communication but it will allow for a channel to be open." she said knowing it to be true. [break][break] "Crawl before you walk." she said showing she knew that his father would be on his best behaviour and things wouldn't be resolved due to it but it would still allow him to visit and open talks on his own terms and not his father. It was like she was allowing herself to be used as a pawn so he would be able to hold control. "Of course, I'm always willing to help a person if I can." she said hearing his thanks, it seemed that he just needed someone to hear him and reassure him, it didn't seem like it was something that happened an awful lot in his life. Likely like her all he heard what was expected of him and his position and it only got worse when he got his grimoire proving what his father already knew. [break][break] "I had to manipulate my parents into letting me learn politics." she informed him "I told them that the imperial city was a nest of vipers and if I didn't know what to look for and who to befriend then I wouldn't last long. They saw the wisdom and so my gift in politics was nurtured. My bodyguard and matron nurtured my gifts with tactics. My gifts with healing my family were all too ready to nurture. I had to learn to read, write, and speak two languages, play many instruments, dance, flower arrange, paint, then there was etiquette, sign language, how to walk, how to put on make-up, do my hair, cook, play chess, expectations of being a good wife and mother." there was more but she didn't want to bore him "And the nannies were so strict." she shuddered a little glad she didn't have to worry about that too much now. [break][break] She shook her head "I don't think it is a bear print, it's far too large to be a bears." she said pointing to just how big it was, sure it could have been a mana beast but she didn't want to even think of such a thing in all honesty. "Seems I've been hearing that a lot today." she said bringing her sleeve covered to her mouth as she chuckled lightly "You might want to be careful, if you keep saying that I may one day believe it to be true." she was still chuckling but it was like there was a second meaning behind her words. The conversation had gone on and she had almost started to cry, as he moved to take her hands she stepped back shaking her head "I shouldn't have such contact with a person unless they are my husband or family. Junjie wouldn't be pleased as he'd get into trouble." she informed him. [break][break] "I am thankful you wish to comfort me, that in itself is comforting." she moved her hand into her right sleeve and brought out a handkerchief and dried her eyes before putting it away. "Don't!" she said grabbing her sleeves "Don't call me that! I am more than a title! I am more than a delicate flower that needs to be protected! I've proven this time and again!" she moved her hands to her face as she began to sob. She could deal with Junjie and those at her home being so formal with her it was expected and yet here he was doing the same. She knew he was trying to reassure her but he had misstepped by calling her that of all things. She knew it was part of who she was and could understand formality had he called her captain or even lady as she would have replied in kind. [break][break] After a few moments she composed herself, her makeup was still flawless but her eyes were red and puffy showing she had indeed been crying. "I... I'm sorry for my outburst and the behaviour after." she said her voice filled with shame as she spoke. "Due to my title, how I look and my pacifism you can imagine the struggles I've had to face to prove I have as much right on a battlefield as someone such as yourself." she explained in a whisper. People treated her as if she had no place there and should just sit back and allow those who could fight to protect her, she had even explained that the original plan was to have someone fight on her behalf to become captain. It showed just how much she had to fight just to be considered the same as someone who fought offensively. [break][break] "I'm glad I can help you understand and grow" She stopped herself from speaking his name as it had just gotten awkward for her as he had turned this from casual to beyond formal for her. She shook her head when he said she had earned it although she didn't speak on the matter. "I would suggest becoming more guarded Jevi, it's the only real way to survive in a world like ours." she was quiet as she spoke, her voice was still gentle but the warmth had soothed itself with the pain she was feeling. She nodded and concentrated on the task at hand, she knew she had made a mistake and would have to do her best to fix it. She didn't expect that she would have to compartmentalize today but it seemed that it would indeed be needed but still, she didn't blame him, she blamed herself. [break][break] She stopped seeing a harrowing sight, the carcass of several small bears and one larger, she moved towards one of them to inspect it the best she could without touching it. "Whatever attacked this was far larger" she said moving to follow the drag marks to some severely damaged trees. "It was beaten and thrown around by the looks of it, they likely all were" as she pointed to some of the black fur caught in the trees. This was a distressing scene and she wanted to bury the poor thing but before she could she heard howls. "Wolves?" she said, she guessed it was only natural given the feast around them. They were growling making the woman sigh as she didn't want to have them hurt, there had been enough death as far as she was concerned. "If you can chase them off." she instructed, she understood if they had to perish but she would rather it not be the case. [break][break] She knew these things were going to be fast due to the nature of being on four legs so she needed to make him faster but she also wanted to protect him from harm. She held her hands out a little "Scatter" she stated her mindset seemingly instantly changing as she made their safety a priority. At first, what she did didn't seem like much but a glowing cloud of blue and baby pink coloured butterflies that smelled of mint flying around her made from condensed angelic light. The butterflies started to fly above her releasing white and red lily petals that smelled of peach and apple blossoms. The thing was the spell still was yet to be fully activated. "Reflections." her voice was focused on her task at hand that much was clear. the true abilities of this spell were now unleashed as the dual-coloured butterflies seemed to separate and turn into a pair of phoenixes. [break][break] One of which was made from blue lotus petals that smell of summer flowers and the other of pink lotus petals that smell of cherry blossoms. She moved her hand towards Jevi, the phoenixes splitting once more and the new pair flew and circled above him, she knew he was in no danger of being hurt and even on the off chance they did break the defence she had made she doubted he would be able to outdo her healing, still, there was the issue that these things would still likely be faster than him at least so that was the next problem she needed to address. Moving her left hand to be at her chest while moving her right hand out as if she were waiting for something to be put into it she envisions Jevi. [break][break] Soon enough above her hand hovers a glowing green prism in the shape of a diamond, from it falls baby's breath petals though for some reason it smells of chocolate and marshmallow. "Paradise Lost Jevi" she said the prism floating over to be at Jevi's side. She knew now he should be perfectly safe to deal with the task at hand and if needed she could just move to a stronger spell but she needed to see if this would be enough so she didn't waste mana.

A person may think that this was a defensive spell or even a healing spell but at current, the spell isn't fully active. As the butterflies start flying above her they release white and red lily petals that smelled of peach and apple blossoms it would be easy to think that it was a small area of effect but as it isn't active this is not the case. Saying the word 'Reflections' is how she activates the true abilities of this spell is unleashed as the dual coloured butterflies seem to separate and turn into a pair of phoenix. One of which is made from blue lotus petals that smell of summer flowers and the other of pink lotus petals that smell of cherry blossoms. With the use of ammo rules, an additional pair can be created so long as she has the required control to fly around additional allies. Hinota has no real control of the pair of phoenixes other than sending them to fly over the person they are meant to protect and heal. [break][break] As they fly around the person in question blue and pink lotus petals fall from their wings, as the pink petals touch the person who the phoenixes are flying around they are healed for senior rank damage and can regain +15 mana each round the spell is active. (The regen does not affect Hinota if the spell is used on her), those under the blessings of the pink Phoenix find that it will actively try and cleanse them of any curse, hex, poison, venom or debuff that may be on them as per the required clashing rules. It is also able to regrow digits like fingers in two rounds and regrow vital organs in four rounds and will revive someone in three rounds. The blue phoenix on the other hand acts as a defender, as its petals touch the person they seem to gain an almost fiery blue glow like mist around them that will protect them from grand rank damage (clashing happens normally), if the shield isn't destroyed then at the beginning of the following round it will repair itself, this can happen the maximum of three times.

"Paradise lost" is spoken for the prism to seek out the one that it is meant to heal and enhance. Once it gets to its target it hovers by their side not increasing their speed by 15 m/s but healing them for senior damage while also enhancing their mana regen by +15 (The mana recovery can not affect Hinota herself.) In addition to this, while the spell is active, it will attempt to cleanse any curse, hex, poison, venom or debuff on the person. At the stage of healing, this spell is at it can regrow a missing digit in a round, regrow smaller/non-vital organs in two rounds, limbs and more vital organs in three rounds and resurrect a person in two rounds so long it was cast within three rounds of their death.

The flames are intricate and delicate so they could easily be mistaken as tasteful jewellery. Speaking the name of another while twisting the ring will give them the benefits of the healing. With the use of the ammo rules, additional people can be healed per trigger.

Hinota could only be described by the word amazing as she had wisdom to spare and taught Jevi a lot in only a few moments that they had spent together. He understood wearing masks was needed sometimes as a noble and in certain circles. You had to play nice, you had to ensure the right people were willing to help you or had no choice but to help you due to previous actions. All of it was a game of manipulation and well-timed actions, but it was a game Jevi had been unwilling to play as he hated that it took away his freedom to feel. Emotions were an important part of his character and being, and he needed to express them or he’d drive himself insane. That’s what he had learned when studying under his father and other tutors. No matter how many times they told him to suppress his emotions, when it came to anything not just he could not help to speak up. It had made life difficult for him, but when Hinota made him question who else could be hurt due to his actions it made him think. What would he do if his actions ended up hurting someone who couldn’t fight back?
[break][break]
It was clear that Jevi took her words to heart as he fell in silent contemplation. He had never considered that his actions could get anyone hurt other than himself. Now, when it came to him dealing with the consequences he didn’t mind it, but when others came into play it suddenly painted a larger picture. One he had never looked at before beyond the annoyance and even hatred he felt towards it. But now the hotblooded, stubborn elf seemed to have been reigned in somewhat. “I never thought about it that way. I suppose…I’ll have to do better.” If it was for the sake of others, then he’d step up and do what was needed. He’d even play the game he hated if it meant he could protect others because of it. Being protective was another part of his being, and it did not extend to just the ones he cherished either. “Your lessons have been really insightful, Hinota.” He gave her a smile, taking all of her wisdom with him.
[break][break]
The two spoke a bit more about Hania, getting along swimmingly as Hinota even showed a warm smile as she spoke of Jevi’s vice-captain. There was also the matters of how nobles operated and acted towards commoners, and Jevi understood their hatred and distrust towards them. Though, Hinota was right in saying that the nobles of today had become far better than how they were about a hundred years ago. Hinota even felt carefree enough to share information about her homeland and how the imperial court viewed her. They really were kindred spirits in a way, being put into a world they didn’t really want to be in. Though Hinota had learned to handle it, while Jevi had spent a couple of years trying to escape it by literally running away. “I do not like how your homeland sees you, no. You are more than that, and you’re so accomplished. How could anyone refer to you as a shame?” Of course he understood, it was clear that he did, but he quite obviously did not agree with their assessment of Hinota.
[break][break]
Even though she spoke of her hardships, she kept a smile on her face as she explained her options and the choice she made. He returned the smile, mostly because he was happy to hear that even though it was rough she had found a place to belong and a role to fill that she enjoyed. “See? You’re amazing.” He’d repeat it as many times as he’d need to till she’d believe him, because he was convinced of it himself. When it came to her relationship, it didn’t look like marrying was in the cards as of yet. They were from different cultures, and due to this them being betrothed meant it was also the courting stage to Valo. In more casual terms; dating. It seemed to bother her, but was it really his place to comment on it. The frown made him want to comfort her, make her smile again just like before. In the end, he decided not to comment on it, as it really wasn’t his place to do so.
[break][break]
Instead, the focus was put back on his issues and how he shouldn’t leave any regrets according to Hinota. They spoke of his mother, and Jevi joked that he was happy to look more like her than his father. Though, Hinota was right in saying that he got some likeness to his father. “I do, you’re right.” He didn’t go into detail, but he knew his stubbornness was from his father without a doubt. That’s why the two got into arguments pretty much all the time. Neither wanted to give up an inch on their side to accommodate for the other. Having Hinota there would certainly make his father act differently, but he didn’t want to put her through that. She repeated that he didn’t ask, but she offered. Hinota even commented on the thing that worried him without him even mentioning it. It was nice…having someone who was so in tune with him that he didn’t need to spell anything out.
[break][break]
With a sigh, he reluctantly gave in. “I’ll take it into consideration.” He just could not say no to her could he? That was another first. Normally he wouldn’t even think about accepting someone’s help with matters such as these, yet here Hinota was making him cave with a couple simple words. To hear her say she was always willing to help a person if she could just sealed the deal even more. There were feelings welling up that he knew shouldn’t be there. She was with another, he had no business trying to win her over for himself as much as he’d like to. It was just so comfortable being around her, but he had to mentally keep telling himself to stop. It was not okay to entertain these thoughts, but it was so hard to stop them from popping up when every sentence and every graceful move made him feel stronger than the moment before.
[break][break]
It was a good thing that she spoke of her life back home, and how she had manipulated her parents into allowing her to learn about politics. Once she got that done, she was forced to learn many other things that were all expected of noble ladies, let alone princesses. “You just keep getting more impressive.” He smiled, but tried not to continue too much with his praises. It was a dangerous line he was threading, and he needed to be wary of what he did and said. Like Hinota said, there were times when lying was okay and right now he had to lie to himself. With another distraction by looking at some paw prints, that was easy enough to do. He assumed it was a bear, but Hinota mentioned they were far larger. “They are, but they look to have a similar shape to them. Still, it’s not an ordinary creature.” That much was easy to see. Hinota joked with him as he told her she was right again, and that she might one day believe him if he kept saying it causing him to chuckle along with her.
[break][break]
However, as their conversation continued the mood shifted between them when Hinota felt bad about inquiring about such personal matters. Jevi could see the tears welling in her eyes, and wanted nothing more than to soothe her now. At this point, his feelings overwhelmed his rational thoughts and he attempted to take her hands in his own, but she stepped back and told him she shouldn’t have such contact with a person who wasn’t her husband or family. Junjie would also get into trouble because of it. Though she was grateful he wanted to comfort her, it was when he used the term “princess” as a way of endearment that she broke down and began to yell at him. She told him not to call her that, explaining she was more than a title and not a delicate flower who needed protection. “I-…Hinota, I didn’t mean it like that, I promise.” There were tears welling in his eyes too now, as he realized how badly he screwed up with her. But what could he truly do about it now?
[break][break]
For a few moments there was a silence as Jevi tried to find the right words to say and Hinota calmed herself down. She apologized her outburst and her behavior following, explaining that due to her title and passivist nature she had to struggle so much to prove she belonged on the battlefield just as much. Jevi finally looked back up at her, his eyes still shimmering with tears that threatened to form, but if he wanted to remedy this situation between them he needed to be honest with her. “I’m aware that you do not like the title to be used that way, Hinota, I-…I didn’t mean it like that, I used it as-…as a term of endearment.” A pit formed in his stomach, feeling sick at the thought of it, yet his heart left him no other choice. “A term of endearment, because…I really like you, but I know you already love someone else, so it was wrong either way of me to say it or act on my emotions like that.” He bowed to her, shame clear in his voice. “Please, forgive me for overstepping such boundaries. I swear, it will not happen again.” It was a promise he didn’t take lightly, which Hinota could easily see as he stood back up straight and his eyes had a more strict expression to them than before. “I truly hope this does not put a strain on our relationship in the future, and that I may continue to rely on your advice and help. Though, I understand if you wish to avoid me once we finish up this investigation.” That was the consequence of his action and of being honest, and he was willing to accept it.
[break][break]
When they finally moved along with their investigation, Hinota once more suggested for him to become more guarded as it was the only way to survive in their circles. He gave her a solemn nod, not daring to truly look into her eyes again like he had before. “I will do better. I’ve been childish letting my father’s wants have such a hold on me, that I have neglected what I want myself. Thank you again, for all your advice, it’s been helpful in clearing my mind.” His tone of voice was slightly different from before, mostly because he was deeply ashamed of himself, but it was quite apparent that his care and appreciation were still there. It was all his fault that it got so out of hand, just because he couldn’t stop himself from acting on his feelings which was a nasty habit he really needed to get in control of. He thought he had been doing fine, but it turned out he was wrong. He had just removed himself from the presence of strong emotions, rather than dealing with them head-on.
[break][break]
They walked into quite a grueling sight of some massacred beasts, and not long after Hinota commented that whatever did this was way larger the howls of wolves could be heard. He was surprised to hear Hinota request he chase them off, but he was a dutiful knight and he knew that she wasn’t going to fight due to her nature. That was fine with him, he nodded and began to use his magic. “I will.” He moved his right hand in front of his chest, and moved his hand as if he was grabbing something. When the fingernail of his right index finger touched his thumb, a bronze short sword materialized with a blade that had snowy wisps cascading around it. He knew not to hurt the wolves, unless absolutely necessary, just frightening them some would be enough.
[break][break]
Though before he could get into action, he noticed that Hinota was also using her magic, and not to deal with the wolves. She used her magic to protect and enhance him, as he looked at all of the beautiful colors and shape in awe. With all of her protection in place, he could move freely and easily without feeling like he would be in danger from the wolves. It was going to make things quite a bit easier. With his improved movement speed, Jevi moved himself into the best position for all the wolves to target him. When they were getting closer, he moved his short sword and stabbed it in the ground before calling out his spell’s name. “In'loilfrey.” The moment he spoke it, the snowy wisps ran down the blade to the ground and expanded as snow. It created a pushback to the wolves without too much damage, but the sudden cold and frostbite should be enough to get them to run off. Sure enough, some whimpering could be heard, but the wolves quickly turned tail. Jevi sighed in relief, looking over his left shoulder as he let his sword rest on his right shoulder. “The creature we’re after should not be far away. Shall we?” For now he needed to keep his focus on this mission. His feelings could be dealt with later.

[attr="class","raescroll2"]
Jevi is honest with his feelings, and chases of the wolves with a burst of snow and some frostbite.[break]
Placing their prominent hand three inches from his chest with the palm facing towards them, they then quickly move their hand as if they are gripping onto something the index finger's nail having to touch the bottom of the thumb. When this is done a basic chipped bronze shortsword with snow falling from the blade showing its element appears in the hand pointed towards the sky. The short sword is 12 inches (30 cm) in length, has a leather grip and a hexagonal crossguard with a small bronze pummel at the top. The sword can deal physical damage at junior rank although it will have magical backing that allows for it to give those struck minor frostbite if a person is hit with the sword they will find themselves being knocked back by 2m +5m for every 10 power that they possess, they may also decide to give the sword over to another person, the sword may also be thrown as a projectile with a new one forming the following round.
Turning the blade towards the ground the holder touches the pommel and stabs it into the ground stating the abilities name, in doing so the snow that seems to be drifting off the blade starts to land on the ground and quickly expands. The snow becomes three feet deep in a matter of seconds as it reaches its maximum range dealing everyone who is caught within it Junior rank damage not only giving them minor frostbite but also knocking them back by 2m with +5m being added for every 10 power the wielder has. With the use of the ammo rules, more snowdrifts can be made but it will cause the aoe range to be split between them. (Example 2 would be 5m, 3 would be 3.33m etc)
[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] She observed him quietly, to him it was nothing but a game that nobles played but he was only looking at things from a surface level as far as she was concerned. Was it a game? To her? No, and it was shameful to think otherwise in her opinion. Games had rules, beginnings and ends where people had fun and no one was hurt. Politics had severe consequences behind them, families could be ruined by scandals, families fell to the underworld due to misunderstandings, and feuds could begin as could entire wars. It wasn't a game, it was dangerous and deadly costing innocent people because of shallow nobles thinking about themselves or only seeing the dance of flowers and thorns as nothing more than a game. She truly hoped he would grow up and understand as much as he had a distaste for his position in the world it gave him a voice some wish they had. [break][break] "Wearing a mask doesn't take the ability to be free from you, you know Jevi. Everyone has an array of emotions and they do show their genuine ones." she said softly "But regardless of station in life, everyone wears a mask at times to protect what they hold dear safe or influence a situation to their benefit." she said showing wearing a mask wasn't a shackle but had its own kind of unique freedom. "The issue is you are looking at things from a surface level not seeing the very real consequence of politics and how the masks mitigate that." she said calmly "I agree that sometimes due to these masks, terrible things can happen and people may take time for what they do to come to light but nothing stays hidden forever." she reminded him her voice a whisper. [break][break] "People might view it as suppressing emotions, but that is the wrong way to look at it. It's knowing when you can openly express and when it is safer to stay guarded and bluff." She couldn't imagine how anyone would want someone to suppress their emotions, that was one way to cause rebellion at best and a serial killer at worst. The Young woman could tell that her words had struck a chord with him, it was clear that he never thought of the fallout his way of doing things could have on other people, to her, he was either incredibly naive or was more like the nobles he claimed to have a disliking to. She saw him as like herself in a way and so put it down to the latter, she also believed this naive immaturity came from wanting to prove his father wrong. [break][break] Hearing his words she nodded "I'll give an example. You said you didn't listen to some of your lessons and bore the consequences of those actions but did you ever think of the fallout to your tutors for failing to do their job correctly because you wanted to be rebellious?" she would ask him "They likely were criticized by your father, got their pay reduced or perhaps dismissed entirely. Now, that tutor could have a family of his own; if the latter happened, it would affect his family, who may need to change their way of living. The children's education may need to be lowered or stopped completely, their comfort could lessen, they could find themselves having to move to another house or even a different region completely. Word could get out that they are incompetent and so no other family would be willing to hire them so they may end up destitute and turning to crime." she said showing everything had a domino effect. [break][break] His actions in this scenario had caused a good man or woman a comfortable job and ruined his career which also affected their spouse and children who hadn't even been there. "Sometimes we might not want to hear or do what is being asked of us but we use a mask of compliance get through it and when it is done we can throw it in a corner until it becomes useful." she said calmly "You may have been unhappy in that moment but your father would have been happy, the tutor and their family would have been safe and you could just disregard it and continue as if the lesson never took place making everyone, in the long run, get what they want." she said she knew it wasn't ideal but unfortunately people had to do things they didn't want all the time for a multitude of reasons. [break][break] "I think had they explained why certain things needed to be done you may have been more willing to listen, but you were also quite rebellious and stubborn so I think that also played a part in things." she replied her tone still soft as she spoke to him "I think that's why you're willing to listen to me on this matter because I'm explaining the reasoning behind such actions needing to be taken," she said thoughtfully, she wasn't trying to be boastful just showing where she believed they had gone wrong and why he was more willing to take the same lessons from her that he didn't from them. "It isn't a view I can change unless I wish to return to my gilded cage, which is something I have no intention of doing any time soon." It was clear that though she was seen as a disgrace in the view of some in her homeland it wasn't going to stop her. [break][break] "I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about how my family are going to take my new position." she didn't go much into it but it was clear that there was some friction there. "As for how they could refer to me shameful despite my accolades? Easy. I am not a purely traditional woman even if I look and act like one." she answered him honestly "It hurts that they view me in such a manner and they could still stop me technically, however, I doubt they wish the fallout that would come with me having to explain why I am leaving my position." it was clear that her family put a lot of worth on duty, tradition and reputation it was because of these things that they hadn't forced the matter. [break][break] She shook her head "I am not amazing in the slightest, I merely fulfil my duties to the kingdom." in her mind it was truly as simple as that, she was no more impressive than the man who was once her captain or his own Vice-Captain. She nodded as he spoke about considering it "I am thankful that you will, I'm sure your mother will cherish seeing you again after so long if nothing else." she said with a calm tone. She shook her head once more "Like I told you, I am not impressive, I merely do what is expected of me." her tone was still soft as she spoke, she was truly humble about herself and her talents. She was a flower. Delicate, soft and gentle without the need to worry about the praise for being what she was. [break][break] She nodded to his words "Still not sure about the shape as something else could have stood on them but I think we are getting closer." she said not wanting to close off all possibilities and become hyper-focused on the idea of it being an overly large bear only for it to turn out to be a mutated mongoose. After she had raised her voice a little the heat of her frustration was heard after he used the term with her. She had been crying so hadn't even noticed the tears that had formed in his eyes as he realized how negatively she took being called princess. It was like a dam had broken as she had believed him to be different but now he showed himself to be no better than other nobles. Hearing his words about how he didn't mean it that way made her shake her head as she didn't want to hear it. [break][break] "I don't want to talk on this, I request that you respect my wishes." it was clear that she was closing herself off from him, she was hurt that much was clear. There were far better ways to show someone an endearment than calling them their actual title in life, especially when that title brought so many struggles and expectations with it. Hearing what he said next confused the young woman, they had just met there was no way he could view him as anything too deep and yet, she knew he wore everything on his sleeve. She was conflicted on the matter but it wasn't something she wanted to deal with right now. "I will request that Vice-captain Ravencrest and Captain Kasai not request we do tasks together after this." she wasn't too sure if she would follow through with it, she was emotional. [break][break] She stopped him bowing "There's no need for that." she said moving forward just wanting to pretend what just happened didn't. Hearing his hope she couldn't answer it because she didn't know, this entire situation shouldn't have happened. "We will see what the gods hold in the future." she said quietly her back being turned to him. Hearing his words as they continued he nodded "I'm glad I have been of help." her voice was still soft but the tone was clearly off, it lacked the warmth as it had before and was filled with sorrow. It was when they came on the gruesome scene the pair got right to work she instructed Jevi not to kill them but rather to chase them off. Something he was willing to do for her, part of her wondered if it was because it came from a higher-ranked magic knight or because of his feelings towards her. [break][break] Just as she had finished casting his spells he had also called forward one of his own, she now knew the man's element. Sword. It was a powerful magic in its own right from the little she knew of it, it had no way to heal and something like that wasn't meant to defend. For all the issues at current, she would have to make sure that his weaknesses were covered especially if he did intend to advance his career. Soon enough the ground was covered in ice, she covered her ears as she heard the wolves howl in pain. She wanted to heal them but knew that doing so would only cause issues. She watched as they ran off, she hoped they would find somewhere warm and would take the time to heal from the attack. "Thank you for not killing them." she said lowering her hands hearing his question she nodded and started to follow the prints once more being careful as she gracefully glided over the ice.

Above her hand hovers a glowing green prism in the shape of a diamond, from it falls baby's breath petals though for some reason it smells of chocolate and marshmallow.

A warm gift for Hinota Yuiee. After spending a few weeks away from the flower mage, Valo had crafted a beautiful bracelet as a gift for her.
