It has been about a year since Fuu became a Magic Knight. A member of Green Mantis...fitting for someone of her background. Despite coming from nobility, Fuu never acted the part. She was always on the more rebellious side something that those from House Wilhelm weren't known for. Her attitude was more along the lines of a common thief with anger issues which usually caused her to fail all her previous jobs, some which were real simple. Due to that she doesn't have a star to her name, but this hasn't stopped her from constantly trying which is why Fuu is now journeying up this mountain located in the Forsaken Region. The mountain was blanketed with snow from a raging snowstorm. The sky was completely engulfed in dark clouds as these menacing winds continued to blow, carrying a lot snow along with it. Fuu was on yet another job to finally prove she can get something done, but unfortunately she needed someone of a higher ranking to supervise her just in case another slip up happened, especially since the lives of others were at stake here.
Some tourists were unlucky enough to get themselves trapped up on these mountains, and not only was there a the risk of freezing to death up here, but this mountain is known to have packs of wolves stalking about.
Fuu continued to march up the mountain wearing a coat and surprisingly boots which are something she is normally never seen in, but given the circumstance it had to be done. Despite her nose now glowing pink from the cold, the girl has a look of determination on her face as she continued to challenge these harsh elements to scale this mountain. "Ya know, I don't need a freakin babysitter." Fuu mumbled, trying to make it clear that she wasn't fond of being watched over.
This is going to be an interesting journey...

It seems that most of her days back from her long term mission had been spent with the new members of the Green Mantis. Though, in this case, it was an old member that needed supervision. A glorified caretaker, if there ever was one. Artemis knew that the Captain had been assigning to such missions either to spite her, or to test her. After all, there was no reason for the man to actually send her on such a low tier mission. She would not complain, however. Artemis was sure that the Captain was testing her patience at this point, though at the end of the day, she could not complain.[break][break]
Artemis, at this point, had met more than a few Green Mantises that had quite the potential for growth. One of them had been Roc Lily, who had been with her through one of the more frustrating dungeons she had ever encountered. The second was Valo Stark, whom she had taken with her to not one, but two missions that were of a higher tier. She supposed that she might need to add a third to her list, if the young woman she was with was any indication of her family members’ reputation. [break][break]
“I’m as happy about this as you are.” Artemis would quip back, not pausing in her trek. “This mission should be easy enough to tackle by yourself.” There were tiers for missions, and they were assigned to specific mages for a reason. The one they were currently on was not a hard one, though there definitely was a possibility of danger. Combat was sometimes inevitable, especially in the wild like this. Mana beasts lurked in places where they are least expected sometimes, and appeared when they are least expected.[break][break]
“I have read your file.” She finally started once again. Artemis wanted to gauge her, to see if what the files said were true. “A troublemaker, even before joining the Green Mantis.” Artemis was no stranger to troublemakers. She was one in the first place, having been such an adrenaline junkie that she had channeled her need to going around Hapshass stealing from wealthy merchants. The feeling of not being caught thrilled her, and sneaking around gave her a sense of freedom that she never had. While some of the things that the young woman with her had been redacted form her file, probably because of her being a Wilhelm of all things, Artemis knew that the young woman definitely had a past. Why else would she have joined the Green Mantis, the squad where you can run away from everything and anything. “You have been in the squad for a year now. Yet, here you are.” Artemis would raise her eyebrow, “Zero stars to your name, and a reputation of being a troublemaker, which is something when you are in a squad chalk full of them. A cut above the rest, it seems, hm?” There was something about the young woman that intrigued her. Possibly, because she reminded Artemis of herself once upon a time, before she was finally able to find her purpose.
Fuu rolled her eyes at her superior's little quip before blowing a strand of hair from her face, her breathe visible from the freezing temperature. She refused to make eye contact with the woman as she continued to march. At this point Fuu was trying to walk faster as if to get away from Artemis, but barely any progress was made on that part especially with how harsh the snow was blowing. "Why don't you slide your butt down the mountain then?" Fuu crossed her arms, pouting a little. Having a "babysitter" wasn't going to be fun for her. This made the earth wizard feel inferior which is something she hated. Through most of her life, Fuu looked out for herself despite having loving parents to go home to. She was not a fan of their way of life including the rest of the Wilhelms as well. She wanted to do more exciting stuff other than trades and buying lands which led Fuu to fighting as well as stealing which all ultimately led to her becoming a Green Mantis.
The teen immediately paused as Artemis started talking about her file. Usually when one gets there infamous acts read out to them like this they may feel a sense of guilt or shame, but not Fuu. Still not facing her, she had this silent cocky grin as Artemis spoke, her arms still crossed and head held up high as if she were being praised for her misdeeds.
"Heh, You're damn right I am!" Fuu boasted before turning to face her superior. "They don't call me the "Rowdy Princess" for nothin." she added even though the only person that calls her that is herself. When not stealing, Fuu also has a habit of picking fights which most of the time end up as huge disasters in one way or another. "Also relaaaxxx." the teen added while waving a hand dismissively. "I've got a good feeling about this jo-jo-j-." before she could finish, the girl let out a sneeze that accidentally caused a few things to fall out of her jacket. They were some objects that Fuu had previously swiped. She sniffed from the cold before looking down at them quietly then back to Artemis. "...We should keep going..." Fuu claimed as she rested her arms behind the back of her head and started walking again as if nothing happened. People could now be seen from the distance. They were getting close.
Artemis would only glance at the young woman when she tried to lash out. She was used to it. After all, the attitude was not something that was special to the young Wilhelm heiress. The Green Mantis had its fair share of hard headed Magic Knights, and a lot of them had tried their hand in pissing Artemis off. Whether it was because she had been a new and green Magic Knight when she first started, or it was when she had commented about their lack of commitment, Artemis never really backed down. Instead, she gave back what she had been owed ten fold. However, instead of making a quip back at the young woman, she would concede and only shake her head. “To be proud of something you achieve is good. However, I think you are above such petty achievements, hm?” She would not judge, at least, not yet. Artemis felt that the only time she can truly judge another Magic Knight was when they show her what they can do. In this case, Artemis knew that it was almost time for Fuu Wilhelm to show her what she was made of.[break][break]
Fuu sneezed, and items fell out of her pockets. Trinkets and knick-knacks. Artemis would not even look at them, not really caring all that much. “Get yourself in gear, something is approaching.” She would at least give her as much warning. Artemis was a sensory type mage, which meant that she was constantly sending out her mana to scan the area. From what she could sense around her, there was a pack of wolves already eyeing the citizens that were lost. Artemis could see them huddle, and while they made themselves very small and unnoticeable to the eye of a mana beast, wolves were a bit different. Their tracking prowess were something to behold in the animal kingdom. “We’ll have a fight with us soon.”[break][break]
Artemis’ cloaked protected her from the elements, though the cold was still biting into her skin. She ignored it, however, as they finally got up close to the group of tourists. They seem to be almost frozen, though one of them had some form of fire magic which enabled them to stay warm enough. However, they were all very low in mana, and Artemis knew that they needed to be taken out of here as soon as possible. The wolves had smelled weakness, and they were slowly coming in for the kill. [break][break]
“Hurry. Stay close.” She would order, as Artemis rounded the group. She would then turn to Fuu, “There are wolves coming,” Artemis would whisper, “How do you think we should handle this, hm?” Artemis herself could probably deal with the wolves by herself. She had dealt with worse, much much worse. However, this mission was not for her to finish. She was here to help, nothing more. Artemis knew that this was the time for Fuu to show her worth as, not only a Magic Knight, but a member of the Green Mantis. “Your call.” She conceded the leadership of the mission to Fuu, after all, this was her mission. Artemis was a tag along at the best.
Artemis' question really got the young earth wizard silently thinking. Fuu was shamelessly proud of her misdeeds, that much is true. But there was still more to achieve. "If you put it like that..." the girl continued to think this through. Fuu is always striving to better herself, working her ass off to be something great. Yet she still acts like an arrogant bratty child with sticky fingers. Deep down she wishes to be more than that, and this here was a good start.
Fuu was contemplating on going back for the stuff she dropped, looking back at them only to quickly look up at her superior as she spoke again. "Huh? What are you on about?" Fuu said as she turned around, looking around for whatever it was that was coming. Fuu is pretty tough, but when it comes to her sensory, it still needs to be worked on, but this is due to her prioritizing strength which isn't exactly a good thing. Fuu couldn't figure out what Artemis was talking about, but she noticed that they were approaching the people that were stranded up here. "It's about damn time." Fuu said as she approached the group with her arms crossed. "Don't worry, I'm here to walk you babies home." Fuu claimed as she shrugged in a cocky manner. Majority of the stranded tourists who were obviously much older...and taller than Fuu looked at each other confusingly at the short girl's word and attitude. One of the tourists than looked to Artemis instead and said, "Th-thank you for coming to rescue us." Completely ignoring the girl who was now fuming a bit.
Before Fuu could say anything rude, she paused and glanced at Artemis while she whispered. "Oh?" Though at this point most people would be on their guard, preparing for anything, Fuu seemed more intrigued on this inevitable fight as she started cracking her knuckles. Not only that, but Fuu was now in charge, causing her small smile to form into a cocky grin. "Well then." Fuu muttered before looking back at the group. "Alright here's the plan. Arty here will escort you lot off this mountain, while I, the LEADER..." Fuu then started to walk past the group, throwing her coat off and onto the snowy ground to reveal her usual attire and Green Mantis cloak on top. "...will beat down whoever and whatever is foolish enough ta stand in my way." Fuu claimed as she thrust her fist in the air. But as that happened a sudden burst of wind blew by, quickly making her regret taking off that coat as she quickly started to shiver and hug herself. By the end of this, Fuu will no doubt have to deal with a cold.
While this happened, howling could be heard from the distance as the wolves drew closer in on their prey.

Artemis would listen to the young woman’s spiel to their clients, so to speak. There was a bravado laced through every syllable, and Artemis had to stop herself from speaking out. Camaraderie was very important when it came to an image of a Magic Knights Squad, and while the Green Mantis were still treated well enough, Artemis knew that her squad needed every ounce of good reputation that they could get. For a moment, Artemis thought that her words might have gotten through the young Wilhelm heiress. There was pride running through her veins, as with any upper nobility that graced the Clover Kingdom. No matter how hard they try to hide it, nor how much they try to mask it, pride runs through the blood of the nobility. Even Artemis cannot say she had never been prideful at least once in her life. It ran through her veins like quicksilver, though she squashed it in favour of apathy. Apathy became her shield, and it had served her well for the most part.[break][break]
It was then that Fuu shrugged off her coat. Artemis, who was behind her, quickly snatched it as a howl rang through the snow hills. It seems that the hunt has begun, and Artemis was sure that the wolves would have surrounded them by now. There was nothing for it at this point, no running with these civilians in tow, they were not fast. No, they will need to make a stand.[break][break]
“Here,” Artemis came up from behind Fuu, handing her the cloak, “you will need this.” The cold was biting, gnawing at unprotected skin. “It is better that you’re protected from this cold while you fight. It will only distract you if you’re suffering from the weather.” She shrugged, though her grimoire was now out and glowing. The blue hue of the ocean characterized the light emanating from her tome. “There is no running now, not with the civilians with us. Both of us can probably make it, but they will not.” She gestured towards the group of shivering civilians. [break][break]
Artemis felt their presence first, before she could see them. The first of the wolves had finally arrived, the most agile, and fast, yet not the strongest of the lot. They were the initial scouting party, if the wolves were ever capable enough to arrange themselves in specific groups. [break][break]
“Two, coming straight ahead.” She would nod towards the direction, before holding her hand out and channeling her mana. Her grimoire flipped pages quickly, before settling on the spell that Artemis had been channeling. Slowly, water coalesced on both her right and left hands. It formed quickly into two swords, twins in the eyes of many, both made of water, turned sharp by Artemis’ mana control.[break][break]
“Scylla.” She uttered the name of her weapon, before sprinting forward. Both swords were held out, with Artemis heading to meet her two quarry. As expected the two wolves she had sensed leaped towards the group, their growls echoed through the hills. Jaws wide, they found Artemis swords meeting their bite, only to realize that the swords were more than what they could handle. Having met them head one, Artemis found herself slicing into the two wolves, both of them on either side of her. [break][break]
Artemis turned then towards Fuu, “Be ready, there are six more coming.”
Name of Spell: Scylla[break] Elemental Type: Water[break] Rank & Spell Type: Grand | Attack Creation & Sensory (Illusion)[break] Range & Speed: 150 meters | 85 m/s | 110 m AOE[break] Mana Cost: 50 | 25[break] Stats Effected: Power +12, Blinds, -12 Sensory[break] Applicable Perks: Area of Triumph, Battle Knight, Master Illusionist, Quick Shot, Apex Predator[break] Description: Scylla is a spell that conjures and manipulates water, turning them into swords that surround Artemis. The swords are very sharp, and are very deadly. Through ammo rules, Artemis usually creates more than one, with the limit based on the amount of control she has. While she can use the swords in a physical fight, she oftentimes manipulates the swords with her mana, using it to fight enemies from afar. If she chooses to, Artemis can make a sword explode in a shower of pin-sized needles, causing an AOE effect. At first hit, opponents are blinded by the water that hits their eyes. The blind effect only happens once per opponent. Scylla is coated with an illusion, making them very hard to see, hear, and smell, and sense with mana. Finally, they are able to home in on their intended target because of the user's Sensory. Those hit by the spell will also have their sensory debuffed, following on debuff rules.[break]
Fuu stood there as a shivering mess, hugging herself tight for warmth. She instantly regretted throwing her coat off back then, simply getting caught in the moment which she is infamous for. She then peeked behind to notice Artemis holding her coat. Not uttering a word, she snatched it from the woman and quickly placed it back on, and soon her shivering would die down as she sighed in relief, her breathe visible from the cold. "Tch, I barely felt a thing." Fuu claimed with a pout as she glanced away, arms once again crossed. She was obviously lying, but putting up a strong front was something Fuu always tried to do, refusing to show signs of weakness.
Artemis did have a point however, the civilians weren't going to be able to outrun these wolves. The earth girl looked towards them silently with a tad bit of concern drawn on her face. Fuu may be very reckless and deviant, but she still cares for the citizens of this kingdom and wants to protect them just like her late mentor.
"Yeah whatever. Wasn't planning on running anyway, lady." Fuu claimed as she punched her open palm with her fist. She watched as the first two wolves came into view, and sank into a battle stance, planting her feet firmly in the snow. "Don't worry, I got th-" Before she could do anything, Fuu was completely captivated by Artemis' water spell. She watched as her superior made quick work of those two beasts. The teen was honestly at a loss for words while some of the tourists cheered on before joining back with the rest of their group in escaping. "That was..." Fuu wanted to throw a compliment at Artemis, say it was so cool, or how did you learn that, you're really strong. "...I can do better." But of course that pride of hers wouldn't let her.
"Huh, six...?" Fuu would be brought back to reality by the woman's words. From the distance, the silhouettes of six creatures could be seen heading in the direction of the fleeing people. A challenging grin developed on Fuu's face as she saw this as an opportunity to try and show Artemis up. Fuu burst into a sprint towards the wolf that was further in front of the other five and jumped in its way. The wolf showed no signs of stopping which Fuu was hoping for. Her grimoire then floated from her side and opened, a brownish aura coating it as it opens, flipping through pages until it landed on the desired one. As this happened, the same brownish aura has started to rise from out of the ground, surrounding Fuu and merging with her own mana. The first wolf then leapt at Fuu who raised her arm up in defense! The beast bit into her arm...but to no effect. It was as if the creature was trying to bite into stone. "Big mistake..." Fuu uttered before punching the wolf with her free hand in hopes of knocking it off of her and sending it flying towards the other six as a distraction or to trip them up.
Name of Spell: Earth Magic: Will of Stone Elemental Type: Earth Rank & Spell Type: Junior - Physical Reinforcement Range & Speed: Self Mana Cost: 8(Initial) - 3(Sustain) Stats Effected: Endurance Applicable Perks: Tenacious Body/Mana Conservationist Description: With her grimoire flipped to the right page, Fuu begins to draw on the mana of the earth around her, merging it with her own mana to strengthen her body to be as tough as stone itself. With this active, Fuu is able to ignore the damage of a single spell or attack of Junior or lower rank per post as well as ignoring the extra effects of damaging spells in general (courtesy of her Tenacious Body perk) once every five posts. If the attacker has +20 power to Fuu's durability then it will only half the spell's rank in damage, but if they have +30 then she will not be able to ignore the spell at all. (Tenacious Body will remain in effect however.)
Artemis would not say anything, but rather, would watch as the young Green Mantis leapt forward and into the fray. A headstrong Wilhelm, not the first she had seen, nor will it be the last of them to have such a bravado in their actions. If this were the time and place, Artemis would have scolded Fuu for being too rash. What if the wolves had another group circling them from the back? What if she had taken this mission alone, and found herself surrounded on all sides by these wolves. What if the civilians got injured because of how she approached this situation? There were numerous variables that needed to be taken into account when taking on a mission like this. Artemis herself knew that failure was not an option, especially when lives were on the line. While Junior ranked missions were made to be easy, and of course manageable for the newly minted Magic Knight, any mission can turn into a bloodbath. Any mission can turn into a life or death situation. [break][break]
“War-maiden: Lady Sif.”[break][break]
Water was conjured around Artemis, enveloping her every curve as it transformed her being into a visage reminiscent of the old fairy tales. A war-maiden, clad in armor and silk, with wings that spanned a few feet. Artemis would invoke some awe-inspired expressions from the group of civilians that they were supposed to protect.[break][break]
“Please, stay here. There are no enemies around us save those wolves. Huddle together around the fire mage, and conjure whatever heat you can. I promise this will end shortly.”[break][break]
Artemis then flew up, and straight towards the group of wolves. Six in total, the last one having been damaged by the young woman she had been assigned to keep an eye on. Strength, no matter the level, needed to be tempered with mindfulness. It was what Fuu Wilhelm lacked.[break][break]
Without a word, Artemis landed in the middle of the pack. Her Scylla swords were still in her hand. The wolves, four of the six, had been stunned by her sudden landing, and by her appearance as a whole. [break][break]
Gripping her swords tightly, Artemis spun around three sixty degrees, her sword slashing at the four wolves that had been unfortunate enough to be within her reach.[break][break]
“Take out the two!” She would yell towards Fuu. They needed to get this over with. The civilians were slowly losing their energy, and in this weather, they were half-frozen as it is. The sooner they get this done, the better for the civilians.

Her whole appearance changes, hair turning into fully blonde, her clothes replaced by warrior-garb made of silk and iron, with the most prominent feature of the transformation being the two feather wings on her back. This transformation allows Artemis flight, and the combination of both Physical Reinforcement to the Transformation allows her to move at a faster speed than normal. Her flight speed is at-rank 40 m/s following Transformation rules. Growing 35 inches in size, Artemis is able to carry at maximum 5 people on her wings and back, though why she would do that, she did not know. The spell allows Artemis to weave in and out of combat, unhindered by ground speed. [break]
Fuu had succeeded in knocking back one of the wolves, but that did not stop it nor the other five from trying to rush at her and the civilians. The young magic knight accepted this challenge with open arms, nearly forgetting what the purpose of this job is. Despite training under that Crimson Lion knight years ago and being a member of Green Mantis for a year now, Fuu still didn't act like a true Magic Knight even though this is something she is striving to be. The teen was following her fight happy adrenaline over logic, something she still really needs to work on.
The girl was prepared to take on these wolves despite being outnumbered, but before they could strike at her, Artemis dove straight into the beasts, taking both the wolves and Fuu off guard. "Wha-" Artemis' landing kicked up some of the snow on the ground, causing Fuu to cover her face with her arm. She'd then peek and slowly lower her arm as she witnessed her superior clad in armor made from her own magic. It was simply amazing and put Fuu's aura to shame. The more she watched Artemis fight, the more Fuu was captivated by how powerful her superior was. This distracted Fuu for a bit, but she was finally brought back to earth by the water wizard's words.
"R-right..." Fuu's vision slowly shifted from Artemis to the two wolves. It was then the girl realized how distracted she was, causing her to shake her head and gently slap the sides of her face as if to wake herself up. "Keep it together, Fuu. You can do better..." she'd mutter just as her floating grimoire flipped to another page. The girl then inhaled and exhaled before stomping one of her feet on the ground, shaking the ground beneath her some while kicking up a bit of snow in the process. An ample amount of dirt, and rock tore off of the ground in front of her with a bit of snow still on it. A smirk formed on the girl's face as her aura flared up more. She then started to punch repeatedly in the direction of the floating piece of earth causing it to break up into five smaller pieces each resembling fists that would then fly forward! Three of the fists would end up hitting one of the wolves while the remaining two bashed into the second one, the fists all breaking apart upon impact, damaging the two beasts quite a bit. The wolves were weaker now, barely able to stand, but tried standing their ground as Fuu did the same as well silently until the two finally collapsed into the snow.
"Hmph..." Fuu crossed her arms with a satisfied smile as she glanced over at Artemis. "Go ahead, you can praise me now." she said, as if she completed some grand feat.
Name of Spell: Earth Magic: Rocking Fist Barrage Elemental Type: Earth Rank & Spell Type: Junior - Attack Creation Range & Speed: 25m - 10m/s Mana Cost: 8(Initial) - 3(Sustain) Stats Effected: +4 Power Applicable Perks: Battle Knight/Mana Conservationist Description: Once the grimoire flips to the desired page of the spell, Fuu with her mana flaring up stomps on the ground, causing a boulder or sizable amount of soil/dirt to lift from the ground (If there is none around, then the spell will manifest its own) Fuu will then make rapid punching gestures towards the rock/soil causing it to break up into about five durable smaller pieces of earth, each molding into fists that are sent flying forward, inflicting minor cuts and bruises to its target while causing minor cracks to structures or breaking through flimsy ones. (An additional fist is formed every 10 control)
Artemis would watch Fuu stumble for a moment, before getting herself in gear. It seems that her own actions had caused some for of emotional response from the young woman, at least, it seemed like it. Artemis was never sure when it came to people’s emotions, and the way they responded to situations. However, at the end of the day, it really did not matter since Artemis was a woman of action. She judged everyone by their deed, not their words. It was a better measurement of a person.[break][break]
Fuu sent her spells, and in less than a minute, the fight was finally over. However, before anything can be done, Artemis’ grimoire came back to life with its ocean blue hue. It flipped a few pages, before landing on the spell she was meaning to cast.[break][break]
“Poseidon’s Wrath.”[break][break]
A large wave of water, sculpted as horses trampling through the ground, was sent to sweep and destroy the bodies of the wolves. Artemis would tune out everything, as she concentrated on her spell. The wave swallowed up the corpses of the dead and dying wolves, churning into oblivion, before letting everything wash away.[break][break]
“No evidence. Any scavengers might smell death, and it could spell trouble for us if they decide to hunt us.” She was less afraid for Fuu and herself, and more for the civilians with them.[break][break]
It was then that Artemis’ eyes sharpened, “You are a strong mage. You have the capability to be stronger than you are now. You have the potential within you.” She paused, before continuing her spiel, “However, you are brash and headstrong. Both traits are not bad. They will be an asset to you in the long run.” Artemis knew as much for herself, “You need to temper yourself.” She concluded, before turning around to gesture for the civilians to finally follow them down the hill. “I knew a mage once who was a troublemaker. A delinquent, they called her. Stole from merchants just because it made her feel good. The thrill, the excitement, it made her feel alive.” Artemis shook her head, “She learned early on in her Magic Knights career that life is something easily lost, and cannot be returned. Death waits at every corner for us.” Her first mission had been a success, but only just. People had almost died because of her need for the rush of adrenaline. “Now, she’s going to take on the Captain for the position of Vice Captain.” Artemis turned back towards Fuu. “I paid my dues early on. I tempered myself because as much as I love the feeling of adrenaline coursing through my veins, I also knew that it was not worth the mistakes I would make if I follow my desires alone.” [break][break]
Artemis started her way down, the civilians in tow. “You have the energy. Channel it for the better.”

[break]
Fuu stood there, waiting for the praise she desired, but her cocky expression would quickly shift as she watched Artemis cook up another spell. The wolves were already dealt with, so Fuu was a bit puzzled. Her pale green eyes widened as the water wizard's horse like constructs started going on a rampage, trampling over and devouring what remains of those wolves. Some of the civilians who managed to witness this seemed puzzled by this as well, thinking it was a bit of an overkill, but then again these two are Green Mantis knights, so it wasn't all too surprising.
"Huh, you've got a lot of strong spells." Fuu said, focusing more on how cool she found the woman's spells instead of the reason why she did it. This made Fuu think of her own spells. They're not bad for someone of her rank, but there is always room for more spells. The girl would then raise an eyebrow as Artemis started to compliment her strength. Seems that she was getting the praise she asked for after all, causing the girl to once again stand proud with a smug grin on her face, but as quickly as her ego inflated, it deflated the moment Artemis' words started to sound less like compliments. She was getting annoyed having to be criticized like this again. She folded her arms and looked way. Fuu is no stranger to having people talk down on her, reminding her of her bad qualities. It was obvious that Artemis isn't trying to talk down on her, but when it comes to Fuu, it was all the same to her. Despite this job seemingly looking like a success, a part of Fuu felt like she failed by not keeping her wits about her.
The earth wizard quietly walked with Artemis, lagging a bit behind but not far enough to be with the tourists. She looked down at her boots that left snowy prints with each step. "Hm?" She'd then look up at Artemis as she told her story. "Heh, she sounds cool..." Fuu claimed, mostly because the person in the story reminded her of herself. She didn't put it together that Artemis was talking about herself until she continued. Fuu did not say anything. She did not have to because her expression was enough. A look of disbelief was written on her face. Artemis grew up in a similar life as Fuu, but...she turned out so strong.
“You have the energy. Channel it for the better.”
Those words caused Fuu to stop in her tracks with the tourists now passing her. She stared at Artemis' back with her mouth open a bit, enough for her visible breathe to be seen. The woman reminded Fuu so much of her late mentor though she never found out about his childhood. He was so strong and levelheaded as well. A genuinely warm smile formed on the girl's face as she thought of the guy and then of Artemis. "Yeah..." she'd mutter absentmindedly. Seems that a sense of new hope has shined itself upon the girl. She was about to start walking again until she paused, thinking back at something the blonde said not that long ago.
"Wait...Vice Captain!? Take on the Captain!?!?!" Completely taken off guard by this, Fuu would start to run, trying to catch up to Artemis.
