⊹ Female ⊹ Elf ⊹ Junior Rank ⊹
Suna was almost impressed as the Green Mantis continued to draw attention to herself. Almost. She figured that must be the dwarf’s fighting style, and sure enough, it was. As one of the strange creatures closed in on the earth mage, she simply stood there with her arms crossed, as if daring it to hit her. And hit her it did, but to the elf’s amazement, it was as if the earth mage had become as immovable as the earth itself. Her color seemed to be brown, which was fitting to her element. Her physical strength was also impressive, when she flipped over that creature by its tusks and put her foot on the side of its head in a victory pose. Of course, she had used some sort of spell to enforce herself, but Suna had to admit, it took a lot of spunk and courage to stand strong against the face of danger. A girl of guts, indeed.
All this the blue elf noticed while continuing her restraining spell. It was a simple spell, and she was wondering why it always caused so much attention. Not just in this battle, but in the other small skirmishes in the past as well. Was there some dark connotation to restraints and slows? Why did mages always seem a little surprised by her restraining magic? It was nothing special, she would think. She had yet to meet anyone else with a similar use of magic, but she was sure there were more out there. If there was something she is good at, is finding and collecting information.
But at the present moment, Suna’s eyes darted between her companions and their movements. The Black Bulls boy had his hand to the ground, and before she knew it, a silver spike had shot out and severely injured the creature in the middle. She watched him run towards his spike, using it as a launching pad to jump up and down. Just when she thought she had most of her companions figured out, they did something unexpected and surprising. In this case, when his spear came out, there was also something else that happened. Something like an electric wave spread throughout the area, and even from her slight distance, Suna could feel the electricating buzz. She had never seen a combination of silver and...electricity? Or something akin to lightning. She would have to ask him about that later.
Both of her companions were more than capable in a fight, it seems. But how about herself? It gave her a little pause. She knew she needed to train more into her durability skills, so she can do damage on top of her restraints. Also, she should learn from her two allies on going in and getting her hands dirty. But for now, her junior spell was good enough to slow the creatures down and give the two other mages opportunities to go in. Unlike the other two, her fight style usually does not entail going into the thick of the battle; she preferred doing debuffs and supporting other mages. However, unlike most supports, she does not currently have any sort of healing abilities. She still loved the action, hence her attack creation spells. In a way, she was more of an offensive support mage.
The earth mage had again called out, this time attracting another creature. It was different, more canine, and it seemed more interested in taking down the leader of those lynx-boar hybrids. Suna had restrained from launching her spears from her attack creation spell, and watched as the two jumped and met each other in the air. It was a glorious sight, watching a canine and a feline hybrid battle it out. It was not something one got to see every day, but it was entertaining. That is, until the victor came out and turned its attention towards the mages.
The canine monster stood up on its hind legs, looking almost human-like in its stance. Her Sforzando spears have been hovering beside her, glowing in various shades of blue. Her aura had shaped them, and now her sound will launch them. Suna’s fingers plucked out accented, loud notes, and her spears shot towards the monster in a cone shape. They flew straight and true towards the half-canine, one piercing him in the shoulder and one in the arm on the opposite side. It howled in agony, and Suna’s damage on him seemed only to enrage his bloodlust even more. The lycan turned on the closest enemy, which happened to be the earth mage.
"Watch out!" She called out. She was ready to cast another attack spell if needed, but knowing the dwarf, she would probably want to do it all by herself. Still, Suna would be ready, since this new monster seemed to be more powerful than the feline-boar hybrids.

To activate this attack spell, Suna will strike up a quick series of notes, loud and sharp like the patter of winter hail. Her pure aura will morph into white flint-like arrowheads (2in by 3in) that hangs above the enemy, and her sound will make those arrowheads fall down in an circular area of 10 meters. The density of falling arrowheads will depend on her ability to play in polyphony, a musical texture consisting of two or more simultaneous lines of independent melodies, as opposed to just one dominant melodic voice.
To sustain the barrage, Suna must keep her tempo above vivace (lively and brisk tempo, 156–176 bpm) and play a series of tremolos, which is repeating a specific note or notes as rapidly as possible to produce a quivering effect. Apex Predator gives this spell an additional +3 power stack-able buff caps after 5 attacks or +15 to the enemy. At Suna's current junior level, it cannot be sustained for more than three motifs (three posts, not including the post when the spell is cast); then the piece must be started again from the beginning and the spell must be recast.
This spell is not limited to which instrument she uses, it is only a musical form type.
[Optional] Summoning An Instrument: If Suna does not already have an instrument on hand, she may summon her guzheng by humming a G (392hz). Her guzheng is 64"x12.6" / 162x32cm.
For this attack spell, Suna shapes her aura into spears (ammo) that float stationary next to her until she plays sudden, accented notes, which will then launch themselves out in a cone-shaped area all at once. Each spear is 60in / 152cm in length and 2in / 5cm in width, with the tip being slightly wider 3in / 7.6cm. The maximum number of spears Suna can use is 1 + (Control/5). Apex Predator gives this spell an additional +3 power stack-able buff caps after 5 attacks or +15 to the enemy. This spell does not sustain, as it launches all its spears out at the same time. The more spears she has, the wider the cone.
This attack spell is not limited to which instrument she uses to launch the spears, as the technique is the same.
[Optional] Summoning An Instrument: If Suna does not already have an instrument on hand, she may summon her harp by humming a C (262hz). Her harp is 33"x19"x6" / 83x48x15cm.
To activate this restraining spell, Suna plucks out the melody on her right hand while tampering the full sound by lightly muffling the strings with her left hand, indicating its restraining effects. As the music flows from the instrument, the sound takes form of a small flowing stream that is 1 meter in width. It snakes towards the enemy and spreads in a circle (1 meter in diameter) beneath each target's feet. When in contact with its target(s), the aura spreads upwards to bind movements and to slow down their speed by -2m/s. This will only affect the first [1 + (Control/5)] targets in contact, one additional target will have their speed debuffed by -1m/s, and any other targets will not be affected.
This binding restraint is an AoE effect. The spell only physically affects the enemy, and cannot restrain any spoken or verbal spell castings of retaliation. Vampiric Magic's mana drain will only be applied to the two targets of Suna's choosing. To sustain the bind, Suna must keep playing in ritenuto, the tempo gradually becoming slower and slower. The slower and calmer her music is, the more effective the bind. Any distractions to her state of mind will affect success of sustaining the spell. The restraints have the health of junior rank spells - if dealt damage that are equal or above the spell's rank, the restraints will dissolve and be dispelled.
This restraining spell is not limited to which instrument she uses, as the technique is the same.
[Optional] Summoning An Instrument: If Suna does not already have an instrument on hand, she may summon her harp by humming a C (262hz). Her harp is 33"x19"x6" / 83x48x15cm.

It seems that Fuu has a knack for bringing trouble her way or to the way of others. Her yelling had caused the lycan like beast to emerge from some bushes, but its attention was not on the three mages, but rather the leader of the feline creature's pack. Fuu was prepared to take on the huge beast until she noticed it trading vicious blows with the feline, taking the earth mage by surprise, but would quickly get irritated by being ignored. "Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing!? I'm over here!!" Fuu yelled towards the two monsters, waving her arms hard enough in an attempt to get noticed all while she kept her foot on the previous feline beast's head. Unfortunately, the two big monsters were too busy fighting each other to notice, causing Fuu to pout a little. When it comes to fights, it was very obvious that this dwarf enjoyed being the center of attention. A very brave yet stupid nature.
Fuu found herself glancing over at the black bull mage with an eyebrow raising up just as he placed his hand on the ground. Her other eyebrow then rose as she witnessed the wave of silver spikes heading in the direction of one of the other beasts. The girl would be lying if she said she wasn't impressed. It was a strong looking spell which usually attracted the dwarf. But to go even further, the guy ran up his own silver spikes with a silver spear now in hand. The mantis found her attention completely ripped away from the two leading beasts and now on the bull she previously taunted. The boy then struck the ground with the spear....electrocuting the other two lesser felines!
"Holy-" Fuu's eyes widened at the ballsy and pretty powerful move, causing her to gently bite down on the side of her index finger. To her, it appeared as though this boy was able to utilize the power of two elements at once, something that the dwarf species was well known for, but of course aren't the only species to be able to pull it off. Despite how lazy and unmotivated he comes off as, this guy was certainly no pushover, something Fuu has been trying her hardest not to think about right now, especially a Black Bull of all people! Still, she couldn't keep his eyes off of him at this moment...that is until the elf yelled something out, causing Fuu to nearly trip on her own feet. "I wasn't starin-" Fuu yelled out towards the elf only to pause as she felt a powerful mana coming her way. Turning forward, Fuu noticed that lycan creature rushing towards her with a few spear like objects impaled within it. Fuu blinked a few times, not fully registering what was happening until it was too late. The lycan had rushed Fuu, ramming her face with its elbow. Despite her reinforcement, the strike managed to push Fuu back some, and cause her to grunt in pain. The hit would've been a lot worse however as the girl's spell still managed to absorb some of the hit.
The lycan appeared like it was ready to attack Fuu again until it stepped on the previously fallen feline that the girl defeated. It then turned its attention to the creature and started viciously attacking it despite it already being defeated. This canine like monster must really hate these cats.
Fuu's face was now a bit bruised, but that didn't discourage her. The girl glared at the distracted beast before spitting some of her blood on the ground. Her grimoire then flipped to another page. As soon as this happened, Fuu stomped on the ground with her aura flaring up more, a good chunk of soil and rock then started to raise from below her, merging together into a ball of earth. With a little roar, Fuu started punching in the direction of the mass of earth repeatably, causing it to break up into five different pieces, all in the shape of fists that were sent flying in the direction of the lycan, potentially striking him and breaking apart upon impact! Fuu wasn't having any of this!

It seemed like taking down the mana beasts was going to be harder than expected, but it appeared that what they told him about the mana beasts around this place was true. They possessed stronger magical abilities compared to the normal magical beasts you will find in other forests. At least the two people he was with were capable enough to fight against them. He was fighting alongside a Noble and an Elf. Their magical capabilities were no surprise to him, despite not really liking nobles, they did have higher magical capabilities than commoners, it was a fact. The thought of having to fight all those mana beasts alone seemed like a pain in the ass, so he appreciated the company when it came to fighting those mana beasts. Fuu despite how much she talked, she certainly had the skills to back-up her magical ability and acted differently in battle, no matter her previous personality.
After making his attack towards the beasts, he moved a few steps back. Thankfully the restraining magic of Suna helped to slow down the beasts, but something Charles took notice was the lack of durability Suna's restraining spells had. They simply broke off too easily, this wasn't normal. Taking note of such flaw he also knew that one of the reasons why they managed to take on multiple beasts at once was thanks to Suna's restraining magic that slowed the beasts down. Suddenly his attention was then focused towards the direction of the Green Mantis who her constant yelling managed to gain the attention of another to attract another beast. The beast looked more humanoid in appearance. The beast also managed to push Fuu who the other beasts had a hard time trying to move her. It also appeared that the Green Mantis got hurt, but that didn't seem to stop her despite her small appearance. He looked at how she attacked the beast her earth magic creating multiple fists and punching the beast.
The Green Mantis seemed to have that covered, he use a restraining spell to weaken the beast, but sadly he wasn't able to do anything. As he didn't have any restraining spells at the moment. The only one who had restraining magic was Suna, her restraining spells weren't really durable, but he had the solution to the problem. He wasn't fully sure of the capabilities of the beast Fuu was fighting, but he knew it was stronger compared to the other beasts they fought. Charles grimoire changed pages, with him holding his hand out and pointing at Suna's wrist. A silver bracelet with a blue marking appeared on Suna's wrist. This bracelet increased her durability stat. "Use your restraining spell on that beast!" He said with confidence, restraining the beast will slow it down which will make it easier for Fuu to fight it. All he had to wait is for the blue-haired elf to listen to him and use the restraining spell.

Suna watched on in mute horror as the lycan rammed into the dwarf. She had kept her eyes trained on the scene, but her fingers moved. After all these years of practice, she knew exactly where each string was, where and how each note should be plucked. However, just as she was about to start Ritenuto, another grimoire glowed and flipped to another page. The elf’s look of horror turned into fascination when the earth mage cast a new spell that manipulated earth. It turned into fists that rammed against the beast and broke apart upon impact. The mana beasts, the fights, the flying soil, the action! It was glorious, to say at the least.
She was so absorbed in watching the earth mage, she did not notice the silver mage also had cast a spell. That is, until a silver bracelet with a blue marking formed around her left wrist. "What..." Her head shot back to the guy, eyes questioning and a little lost.
"Use your restraining spell on that beast!"
Ah, I see. Got it. She felt a warm surge through the bracelet. She did not know exactly what it did, but guessed it must be some type of buff. Her fingers now plucked out another melody. A slow and strange minor tune. Her own aura seemed to react to it, as it wavered in and out around the elf’s form. Interesting... She would analyze that later.
Ritenuto spilled out towards Fuu and the canine creature, streaming towards them like a wave. Her sound slipped underneath the creature and aimed to wrap itself around the legs. If it did need restrain, it would coil tightly. As Suna cast it, she felt something a little different in her spell. Her hold seemed to be stronger, and seemed to be able to last longer. Now she understood. It was thanks to Charles’ buff spell that her durability was boosted. Now there was an even stronger bind to hold the beast down longer and to give the dwarf a better foundation to strike.
"We got you!" She called out, sending out her sound magic and siphoning some of the creature’s mana. Might as well, right? "All you, Fuu!" It was quite the teamwork; it was the silver mage supporting the sound mage supporting the earth mage. Teamwork at its finest. Their magic was being poured out for the Green Mantis, for her to do her thing.

Every one of Fuu's earth fists hit the lycan like beast, all breaking in impact and causing the beast to wince with every strike. The monster howled in pain and irritation which made Fuu snicker lightly to herself. She wasn't going to let that elf, and especially the black bull one up her, or at least try not to. The earth mage's face was a bit bruised however from the previous strike, aching in pain. Fuu was no pushover though, so she wasn't going to let a little bruise get to her.
The earth mage then glanced back at the other magic knight as he shouted something about a restraining spell towards the elf. Was he referring to the move the blue woman used previously, the one she assumed was a hex? The two sort of functioned the same in the teen's eyes, both being spells specialized in hindering others in one way or another. Fuu wasn't all that surprised now knowing that the elf didn't cast a hex. She didn't seem to be the type to do such a thing, but stranger stuff have happened. She was more curious about the other teen suddenly barking orders to the blue one though. If he had done something like that to Fuu, she'd probably try throwing the guy into the beast's grasp.
Speaking of, the beast howled once more, bringing Fuu's attention back to it. As it prepared to rush towards the earth girl again, it was quickly restrained by the elf's spell much to Fuu's surprise. Even though it slowed down the felines, they were still able to break out of it and they seem weaker than this monster. The mantis knight didn't put it together that the elf was buffed but didn't really care much for it. The moment the elf said the magic words, "All you, Fuu!" the dwarf grinned menacingly before dashing towards the lycan beast just like it once did to her! She tackled it with enough force to send it falling to its back with her arms around its waist. As the beast struggled. Fuu started wailing on it with her fists over and over before pulling off one final blow by clasping her hands together, sending it rocketing down at the beasts head with enough force to silence it!
"Wooooo!!! Hell yeah!" Fuu yelled out with her bloody hands in the air while remaining on top of the beast. "We kick ass!" she claimed before looking back at the elf then shifting her attention to the black bull. "Er...well mostly me." she claimed with a snicker, pointing to herself with a thumb as a smug grin formed on her face. Of course she would take most of the credit, but it was obvious that if neither of these two jumped in with their spells, Fuu would probably be the one on the ground right now. "Hey....Weren't we suppose to be looking for some flower?"

Charles saw Fuu finish off the lycan beast with her earth fists. Thankfully Suna listened and was able to use her restraining spell on time to help Fuu finish off the beast. A team effort for sure. Despite how lazy he may appear, Charles always had a good eye for his enemies and teammates' abilities alike. He first thought that Suna used a hex or a curse on the beast, due to the strange nature of her magic, which he still had a hard time to figure out. He took into consideration the increase and decrease in the speed of the beasts. Taking note that curses can't be broken unless the user affected has healing magic, which wasn't the case for the beasts they were fighting. It only made sense for him to think that she wasn't using hex or curses, but restraining magic to slow down the beasts.
After that, Charles took a look around the area to make sure if they were clear. He didn't want any more beasts to come, it was already enough of annoyance for him in a day. As he looked around the surrounding area he could see the corpses of the mana beasts, but it seemed like they were in the clear. Fuu was celebrating that they managed to defeat all the beasts. He was just glad it was over. Now he could back to focusing on his initial task and get the hell out of this place as soon as he found that bloody plant. "Yeah... The blue plant apparently appears in near rivers." He replied, seemingly going back to his usual self as they were no beasts nearby that will try to eat them. He started to walk trying to find any river nearby. Until he stopped for a moment starting to hear water flowing nearby, he knew it wasn't too far since he could hear it. "...I think I hear the water flowing. Maybe its a river." He spoke with more excitement, if he could hear water, that meant there was a river nearby if there was a nearby it was likely he will find the plant there. If he found the plant there it meant he could get the hell out of this place and head back to Black Bulls base and get this over with.
Charles started to walk towards the place where he was able to hear water. The sound of the water flowing was louder and louder as he got he walked towards the direction of the sound. He eventually found the river, it was just a question of time when they were going to find one. Lucky for them it didn't take too long after fighting those beasts. "Finally." He sighed in relief after finding the river. Sadly for him, his job wasn't over yet. He still had to look for the plant.

After the silver mage cast the buff spell on her, Suna could definitely feel a difference in her Ritenuto as she sustained it. It was quite interesting and intriguing to see that the combo she and the silver mage did was effective. It was easier to sustain, and seemed stronger, too. Must have been something along the lines of durability. Fascinating. She had trouble holding the restraint against the feline-boar hybrids, and some of them were able to still break free from it. But against this canine, it was not so much of a struggle. Must be because there was only one and thus easier. And the buff, of course.
The lycan was stronger than the elf thought. However, the dwarf was even stronger. Sure, the latter took a hit and got bruised and all, but she was definitely one strong-willed fighter. The elf had to give it to those who were not afraid to go in and get their hands dirty - they had her respect. Fuu had barreled back into the fray and smashed that creature with such force, Suna could feel some vibrations from where she was standing. "Impressive," she murmured, but it was lost in the din of victorious shouts from the Green Mantis. She shook her head. Fuu was definitely a character. A loveable one albeit her proud and rowdy attitude.
Suna threw a grateful smile at the Black Bulls boy. He may look lazy, but he was observant, and noticed immediately when he could lend his strength to cover his allies’ weaknesses. Being observant was certainly a skill, and she felt a kindred spirit with him. It takes one to know one, after all. It was a useful spell, that buff. That gave her an idea of what kind of spell she should learn next.
Hmm… She tapped her chin thoughtfully. Maybe a buff, or something that can have a chain effect. She was the type to support her allies from the back, yet, she had no true support spells. Besides her restraining spell, her other spells were attack creation. It was curious, as she liked doing her part on the offense. But at the same time, she also liked boosting her teammates. Shaking her head, she came back to the present reality. She will think more about that later.
The other two mages were quick to get back to the original mission. The male mage seemed to have fallen back to his previous cool and nonchalant attitude, but at the sound of water, his steps seemed to be more preppy. She followed him, and indeed they came to a river. Sweeping her gaze across the river, she caught sight of a bluish glowing plant near the riverbank. She rushed over, and knelt down to look at it more closely. The head was shaped like a tulip, with a dandelion base. "Hmmm...nope, it’s more purplish blue." It seemed like a very common plant.
She used her aura to prod the plant. The flower head immediately closed up and darkened. "Oooo..." The elf knelt there, transfixed as the strange plant started changing colors. It was bluish purple at first, but started to lighten to a more reddish hue. "Fascinating..."

- Sustained Ritenuto on lycan NPC, -5 mana. - IC mana regen +5.

With that whole fiasco...caused by Fuu out of the way, the three were now back to looking for that flower the black bull knight was looking for. This time Fuu didn't take the lead which was probably for the best or else she'd provoke something else. The teen's knuckles were bloody and her face was bruised, yet she didn't seem bothered by it at all. Her arms rested at the back of her head while she walked. This time she wasn't being her usual loud self. She was rather quiet, observing the other two.
She first looked at the elf, and thought back to the magic she was using. It was some sort of song magic which Fuu couldn't see herself using. It was too peaceful and soothing to her. If it wasn't obvious enough, the dwarf prefers getting down and dirty with her fights and would've probably tried using that instrument the woman has as a weapon and beat someone over the head with it. Still, that restraining magic she pulled off was very useful, especially in saving the rowdy girl's ass. She could've also sworn she saw that woman use some type of attack spell as well, so maybe it wasn't all that squishy like she originally thought. The black bull on the other hand. Fuu was now looking at the back of the other teen.
The girl couldn't help but stare, remembering the actions he pulled off against some of those feline beasts. For who was someone from that "loser" squad and came off as a lazy crap, he certainly had his moment. Fuu then quickly noticed how long she was staring, causing her to make a small inaudible gasp before quickly shifting her head away from the teen's direction, lowering her arms to a side. Her cheeks then glowed a faint red as she rubbed the side of her shoulder with her hand. Hopefully the elf didn't notice...
After a bit of walking, the three finally made it to a river which had various flowers about, some glowing. It was beautiful, just as beautiful as the rest of this forest. Fuu could find herself peacefully lost in this area...if she weren't busy helping these two out. The earth mage went towards the water and crouched down, placing her hands in it to get the blood off before splashing some in her face. It was very refreshing, especially after that battle. Then as the other two were looking for the flower, Fuu came up with a better idea...or what she assumed was one. Fuu got back to her feet and looked at all of the flowers that were around. With a scoff, the Wilhelm girl started walking around, picking up every flower she came across from the ground until she had a hefty amount of them in her hands, all looking like a colorful bouquet. "Here, bull. Just take these all back with you and look through them yerself." Fuu said as she walked towards him.
If one of them were to notice, they'd see Fuu unknowingly walking right past what appears to be the correct flower...

The elf despite not being a Magic Knight was capable enough of defending herself against the beasts and had a strange type of magic. Which made sense, elves possessed a higher magical ability. They also possessed more strange types of magic, like the one Suna, possessed which he was still unable to deduce what it exactly was. As for the dwarf, she possessed a physical strength higher than average, it was easy to tell that she used reinforcement magic, but she was very resilient despite her small size. He made note of that, someone dumb enough could easily be fooled by her size and think she's just a weak child.
As the three of them arrived at the river in the search Charles was too focused on trying to find that plant. The surrounding area was filled with different types of glowing flowers, that will make the search for what he was looking for harder. This entire time he was too focused on looking for that plant that he didn't even notice both the elf and dwarf were praising his abilities. The only reason he was so focused on finding that plant was because the faster he found that plant the faster he will be able to leave this place. Going back to the base and getting some sleep sounded like a nice idea for the young black bull.
He crouched looking at the ground in the search for the plant/flower that fitted the description he was told. "Hm..." Charles inspected several of the glowing flowers and plants, who had some similarities to the one who he was looking for. "No, that's not it." He sighed standing up, just as he was standing up he turned back looking at Fuu after hearing her voice. He took the plants and flowers Fuu handed him and looked at them. He didn't want to look into that bunch of plants, but it's not like he had much of an option. He was the only one in the group that knew what they were searching for so it only made sense for him to take a look at what Fuu brought him. "I'll take a look then..." It seemed like the Wilhelm noble wasn't that bad in general, as she was still willing to help him. Not really expecting that from a noble, but appreciated it nonetheless it made the search much easier than being alone.
And so he started to inspect the glowing plants and flowers Fuu brought him. Charles started to look flower after flower, plant after plant. Remembering the details the person he met back at the market at the town. Not having any luck in finding the flower he was looking for he kept on dropping the flowers on the ground muttering to himself. "That's not it. That's not it. That's not it..." He sighed once again. "None of these flowers were the right ones." His face and eyes looked lifeless. The lazy black bull was starting to lose faith in finding the right plant/flower, they were still a lot of plants to look for. He was losing faith and motivation to keep on looking. Charles kept on looking nonetheless he had not much of an option. He was going to yell at if he came back to the Black Bulls base without what he was asked for.

As the trio made their way to the river, Suna hung back a little, letting the two younger mages lead. Looking at them from the back, they made quite the contrast. A taller figure clothed in the Black Bulls cape, and a shorter one with her Green Mantis cape. Her fingers tapped absent-mindedly on her chin. She would guess that they were both around the same age, and though they had vastly differing personalities, it was said that opposites attract. Hmm...
A particular light came into the elf’s azure eyes, a look that was playfully scheming. It was not impossible, and Suna has heard that rivalry could potentially bring two people closer. Hmm... For once, she noticed that the earth mage was quiet, a stark contrast to her earlier display of brash bravado. She did not notice the dwarf’s blush, which was probably a good thing for the latter. Otherwise the elf would have jumped at the chance to say something too obvious.
For a little bit, the elf’s attention was drawn away from the Magic Knights, and was busy studying the strange flower in front of her. It definitely could not be the one they were looking for, since it changes colors upon touch, but it was interesting. Her attention was broken when she heard the dwarf address the other Magic Knight.
Her mouth dropped open. D-Did Fuu really just... She quickly closed her mouth, though the edges curled upwards in mirth. Did she really just give him a bouquet? Although witches were not allowed to be in a relationship, it was not like she did not know what or how it worked. The elf’s face was slightly reddening - she was trying her best to keep back the squeal of how cute and adorable she thought it was.
Suna fanned herself with her hands. Calm down, Suna, can’t get too excited or they’ll know. Have to keep it calm and together for this to work. She had barely managed to smother her glee, but somehow she did. The only problem was that she had never attempted to matchmake anyone. Honestly, this could result in either a beautiful romance or an awkward disaster. But maybe, just maybe, she could help make something happen. Heck, maybe this could be the start of a new career for her. Who knows? Anything could happen. She rubbed her hands together, getting excited. But first things first.
Right, the plant. The Black Bull had gone through the entire bouquet, and judging by his disappointed facial expression, none of them must be the one he was looking for. Still on her knees, the elf scanned the underbrush. She was guessing that it was a small plant, so it must be way down near the ground. She was quite the sight, the usually graceful and elegant elf down on her hands and knees in the grass. Her knees were dirtied from dragging along the ground. "Hmm..." She pursed her lips, sitting back on her heels. She was already starting to look in places that the dwarf had razed through.
Then, from the corner of her eye, she caught sight of one glowing blue flower, standing quiet and lonely next to a huge rock. Perhaps that was the one? "Hey, is it this one?" She called out to the other two mages, and reached out a hand to grab it. However, as she leaned in to pluck it, the rock suddenly moved. Suna sucked in a breath, frozen stiff. What had seemed like a rock shifted and the elf found herself level with another pair of eyes.
"I-Is that your flower?" She hoped it was friendly. Great, now she was talking to mana beasts. Nonetheless, the eyes darken, as if it understood what she said. The elf put her hands up in surrender, slowly inching backwards. The tortoise-like creature watched her warily. She was still on her knees, and it was torturously slow. However, she could not see where she was going, and when her foot hit a stone, the creature suddenly lunged at her. "Ah--" She scrambled back, but not fast enough. The snapping mouth clamped down on her leg. She tried to pull it out from its grip, but the creature was too strong and heavy to be shaken off. "Ermm guys? A little help here?"

"I meant, take them back to base with you ya ding dong..." Fuu grumbled those words to herself as the black bull started inspecting the flowers she held. The dwarf was assuming he'd take these plants off her hands and leave, but it didn't seem like she made it clear enough. Instead of putting up a fight, she went ahead and let the boy continue searching. As he did so, the girl averted her eyes not wanting to make this anymore awkward by look at him even though she was probably the only one feeling that way.
As she looked around, Fuu noticed the lady fanning herself for some reason, causing the dwarf to tilt her head a bit. "Pointy eared weirdo..." she'd mumble to herself before looking back at the boy as failed to find the flower he was looking for among the ones she picked out. "Wha-" Fuu started gritting her teeth a little in annoyance before throwing the flowers into the air. "Then what the hell was I holding them for!? And to you of all people." Fuu complained just as the flowers started raining down, some landing in her hair. With all the fuss she was making, its as though Fuu forgot that it was her own idea to gather them all up like that. "Don't waste my time again, or I'll fold your legs into a pretzel, bull!" she claimed, pointing at the teen accusingly. She was really like a firecracker, quick to go off when triggered, even over silly things like this.
Fuu was so caught up in her annoyance of the other magic knight that she didn't hear the elf lady at first. It wasn't until she asked for help that the dwarf would start to notice. "What is it, lady? Can't ya see I'm trying to give this loser a piece of my min-" As Fuu turned to the woman's direction, she'd stop talking as she witnessed the tortoise looking beast gnawing on her leg. The sides of the mantis knight's mouth started to move up as she started to burst out laughing, one hand on her stomach while the other was used to point at the poor elf. Pfff, I'm surprised it didn't start with your ears!" Fuu added as she continued to laugh. Suna might be in a lot of pain, but that didn't stop Fuu's amusement over this.
Once her laughter started to die down, Fuu took notice of the flower on the creature. It fit the description of the stupid flower the other teen was looking for and this only furthered Fuu's amusement. Heh, hey look." she said, looking over to the guy while now pointing at the flower. "What are ya waiting for? Go get it! I'm sure its bite doesn't hurt that much right lady!?" Fuu claimed with a sly snicker, holding her hand in front of her grinning face. The girl wasn't intending on joining in on this. She just wanted to sit back and enjoy this!

Just as Charles was looking for other flowers. It seems like Fuu didn't like the fact that he just dropped the flowers. He didn't have a use for them since those weren't the flowers he needed. "Too late. I don't need them anyway.." Charles did not consider himself a flower/plant collector and he had no interest in bringing those flowers back home with him. He had no space to put the flowers anyway. After that, the Black Bull went back to his search for the blue plant. "Yeah, sure." He replied to Green Mantis who was mad at him for dropping the flowers previously. Even though he replied to her comment he didn't feel intimidated by her even though she displayed her abilities as a Magic Knight previously. Right now he was focused on just finding that bloody plant and leave.
He spent most of his time looking at the ground inspecting every single glowing plant or flower he could find. Even though he didn't have a lot of motivation to keep going at this point he was considering just leaving empty-handed. At that point, that idea didn't sound too bad he could probably manage to get yelled, as long as he doesn't get sent back to keep looking he was fine.
Eventually, he heard the blue elf say something if it was this one. His attention immediately shifted to the location where he heard the voice of the blue elf. The lazy black bull started to make his way towards the direction where Suna was. Fuu had already arrived there before he did. She was closer to her after all, he could see the elf stuck it seemed like something was biting on her leg. "Hmm?" He placed his hand on his chin and raised an eyebrow. The dwarf was simply laughing at the fact that the elf was stuck and possibly hurt from the beast she unfortunately found.
Upon noticing the elf was in possible danger his laid back attitude changed yet again. As far as he was aware none of them had healing magic and if by any chance she ended up fracturing her leg they will need to get her to someone who specializes in healing magic to properly heal her. Even if he found the flower, he will rather avoid any future issues after getting done with his main task. "Whatever you say." His grimoire levitated in front of him as he walked towards the beast who appeared to be some sort of tortoise. A silver spear formed on his right hand making sure not to use the elemental properties of lightning in his spear this time to possibly electrocuting the elf. Charles aimed directly at the beast's shell hitting it with all the strength he had. He managed to break the shell, the spear then proceeded to stab the tortoise and killed it. The tortoise will soon stop gripping Suna's leg.
The Black Bull walked up to the blue-haired elf. He offered her his hand to help her get up. It was quite possible she was injured, he just hoped it wasn't anything serious. "Are you alright?" He looked at her, his face serious, as a sign of concern. He just hoped he didn't have to bring her to a healing mage to heal her. Even though he shows no signs on caring about people most of the time he was actually concerned for the well-being of the elf. Even though he didn't fully comprehend yet how he became a Magic Knight, he knew what his job was and what he had to do.

⊹ Female ⊹ Elf ⊹ Junior Rank ⊹
Baka baka baka! Suna was more annoyed at herself for getting into this situation than shocked at the creature clamped down on her lower leg. Of course, it still hurt, as the tortoise-like beast had a strong pair of jaws, and the mouth was like a sharp beak that dug into her skin. The force was almost strong enough to break through her mana skin, but not quite. The pain was still there, though. "Umfff..." It was so heavy, the slender elf could not shake it off no matter how hard she tried. It did not even budge from its place, only stared at her with its narrowed eyes, green aura flashing in and out.
The plant was right there, just out of her reach, and if she was not careful, she or the creature would accidentally smash it. With a sudden lunge, she made a grab for it but only brushed against it with the tips of her fingers. The tortoise seemed to sense her intent, and tightened its clamp on her calf, if it was even possible. "Grr," her eyes narrowed and flashed. She was not going to let this creature win. She threw her entire weight at the tortoise, directly into its jaws and closing the distance between her fingers and the plant. "Yes!" She had grabbed the entire plant up from its roots.
Just at that moment, she heard a woosh and instinctively ducked. Just in time, too, as a silver spear shot towards and through the tortoise’s shell. The creature opened its mouth in a silent scream, recoiling inwards at the impact and letting go of the elf’s leg. She scrambled back to a safe distance, clutching the plant to her chest. The mana beast writhed in pain for a few moments, then went limp. After a few minutes, it would materialize into mana dust and be blown away, the only evidence that it was even there.
"Whew!" Suna breathed out a sigh of relief. In the background, she could hear the dwarf’s laughter, which she had not heard in all the commotion. But a hand came into view, and she heard another voice with a contrasting tone. The Black Bull was offering his hand to her, and she took it gratefully, wincing slightly as she stood up. The elf looked down at her leg. "Oh." There was a red outline on her calf, a rounded V shape from the tortoise’s jaws. "I’m fine. ‘Tis just a mark." She tested her weight on the leg. It still throbbed, but no broken bones or anything like that, thankfully. It only looked ugly, that purple-blue bruise.
The blue-haired woman turned to the Green Mantis. "Keep laughing, Fuu," she quipped in a mock stern tone, but her words meant something opposite. "I’ll join you in the future." She was not mad that the other girl only stood there laughing - she would have found it amusing, too. She would also laugh at it in the future, just not right now.
Then she turned to her savior, bright blue eyes smiling at him. "Thank you." She was sincerely grateful. Back there, she would not have space to summon her harp and launch any attack spells. She could have suffered worse injuries, but the lightning mage had been quick in his attack. Then she realized that she was still holding his hand, and dropped it abruptly.
"Apologies for having you waste a spell on me, though. But at least we got it!" She held it out to him, that precious blue plant. "This would make us even, yes?" She hated owing anyone a favor - usually it was the other way around. But this plant would balance the score. "Also, that spear you threw back there," she tilted her head back towards where all the action had been. "It was a nice clean shot. Good job." She felt like a proud parent praising their child, even though she had just met the two mages a little while ago.

Even after the bull casually accepted the challenge, Fuu couldn't control her laughing fit. At first she was crouched forward with her hands on her stomach, then she bent back a little with her face pointing at the sky. Despite being a Magic Knight, the dwarf was still amused by the suffering of others...so long as it wasn't too serious, and came off as comical to her. In her eyes, the noble didn't see this as some sort of life or death situation. It was just a poor girl who stumbled upon a grumpy tortoise. If this would've happened to Fuu, she would've punted the creature across the forest by now.
The other knight managed to release the blue lady from her small tormentor, but Fuu was still laughing which was starting to die down a bit. "Wooow, bravo on saving the poor damsel from the clutches of that....pffff menacing tortoise!" Fuu commented, trying her best to speak clearly in between the laughter. The elf then spoke, at first not sounding too pleased about the teen's teasing. It caused Fuu to stop laughing at first, almost preparing herself to get scolded until the elf had a change in mood. Fuu paused for a few seconds, blinking a few times before chuckling. "Heh, yer alright, elf." Fuu added before placing her hands on her hips and looking towards the bull knight. "See? She ain't no big baby like you. Only a regular sized one." Fuu added before shaking her head.
Fuu was starting to enjoy the company of the elf, and to some degree the Black Bull Knight, but it was time for the earth mage to be elsewhere, maybe get some more training done after witnessing the other magic knight in action.
"Yeah, we got your stupid flower, so you can buzz off already." Fuu claimed as she started to walk past the two with her arms folded behind the back of her head. The earth mage then stopped as she made it a bit past them and looked at the elf. "You got some cool magic by the way. Catch ya around, elf." Fuu grinned which looked more genuine this time rather than her usual smugness. Her pale green eyes then shifted to the bull. She lowered her arms to her side and started to rub the side of her arm with her other hand slowly. She looked away from the two, a part of her wanting to compliment the bull as well, but the idea of that caused her face redden slightly. She then shook her head as if to throw these thoughts out and looked back at the bull. "Better not catch you in the same town...or forest as me ever again, or else I'll pummel you into the ground, bull!" Fuu claimed, thrusting a fist into her open palm with a prideful expression.
"Rowdy Princess, out!" she added, throwing up a peace sign as she walked out of this magical forest. A lot has happened here. Fuu had just come to this forest to sight see, get lost in the beauty of nature, and not once did she expect any of this other stuff to happen...but she does not regret any of it. Hopefully she'd get to cross paths with either of these two again one day.

He nodded as he helped the blue-haired elf up without a problem. The tortoise that was previously gripping her leg was now dead, but she was hurt. If he took a few seconds longer to do something it was likely her leg would've ended up getting fractured. The Green Mantis kept on laughing, but if he didn't something about it. It was likely he would've ended up carrying Suna to a place where she could get treated. Charles highly doubted a noble like Fuu will even bother doing something like that. "Whatever, noble." The short dwarf kept on going attacking him, but Charles didn't really care about her comments this time. He decided it will interesting to counterattack. "The possibility of people believing you are child is quite high like your arrogance." The young magic knight scratched his head, he was back to his usual lazy and careless attitude. He didn't seem to be affected by her comment, but believed that if answered back it was likely she will shut her mouth. It wasn't to see that the Wilhelm noble had was very arrogant despite her abilities as a magic knight.
The elf then expressed her gratitude towards the lazy black bull. "Not an issue." He replied, he didn't really consider it an issue, now it would've been an issue if she got hurt further. Charles then took the blue glowing plant from Suna. "Eh, it's fine. It would've been a bigger issue if I didn't do something about it." He nodded once again in acknowledgment. After all, the elf helped him out to find the plant and eventually managed to find it. Something that would've taken longer if he was alone. "Yeah, it does." The elf kept on complimenting which was something Charles didn't mind at all. He rarely received any compliments so it actually felt quite nice. "Thanks."
Fuu kept on talking and complimented Suna and in his case insulted him. Not caring and ignoring her threat. It was likely he will forget it later especially after getting complimented this made him care even less. The dwarf was probably jealous of his abilities despite just being a commoner, even though he didn't see himself as a fighter and will rather not fight at all and stay all day on his bed. After the Green Mantis left the area Charles then turned his attention to Suna. "I'll take my leave now." He placed the flower on a pouch and stretched his arms. "Now I can go sleep!" The black bull walked away from Suna giving her a lazy wave before leaving as a way to thank her for her help. Her company was surely more pleasant and relaxing compared to Fuu.
