The mana issue was becoming an increasing problem for Orion. He could choose to stop firing his spells and try to conserve his mana but when he goes for the recast it would cost more than what he could save. It would not be a good choice to put his follow mages in danger by slowing up on the assault. Orion could not have been the only mage having this issue. If the enemy mages were waiting for the clover mages to run out of mana then their plan would be working. He could not afford to let a single enemy escape alive. [break][break] Orion heard the call of an ally asking to reconvene and decided to go with it. The ally could make a great meat shield if necessary, and by working together on a target maybe they could save some mana. The flow of battle going on around Orion entered into combat with the bastard that hurt Gondus. [break][break] “You sorry f*ck face just die!” [break][break] His spells flew towards the enemy mage in an almost blinding fury. Earlier Orion was fighting the enemies to protect his home. The fight was not even personal to him and he did not fight to kill, they just decided to die on their own. This mage Orion was releasing full on killing intent, it would not stop unless one of them died. [break][break] “You do not hurt the people I care about!” [break][break] If any of the spells would hit Orion would push the mage back into the range of Gondus’ golems. The revenge would be sweet and all so brutal.

“Yay! Glad you could make it.” Qiao gave the younger mage a warm smile and a nod. Qiao was one that preferred to leave a good impression. He glanced at the guy and looked him over before continuing on their patrol. [break][break] “So tell me about yourself? Did you always want to join us in the Coral Peacock squad? I know some of the other squads are better in us in certain areas. Not that I am saying we are a terrible squad. I mean you could be in Crimson Lion.” Qiao chuckled at his own quip; he was making small talk and was only joking. Out of all the squads he mentioned Crimson Lion was one of the ones he respected the most. “Still being a Peacock you have to strive to be one of the brightest people in Clover. That includes personality as well skills.” [break][break] While speaking and approaching the border of the town a thrumming of hoof beats could be heard. Not far a posse of bandits were riding towards the town grimoire drawn and bloodthirsty. “Oh, I guess it is time for us to do some work. They cannot be too bad. Any smart bandits would have waited till nightfall or another time when patrolling was weaker. To attack in the middle of broad daylight is like tap dancing with death.”He strung his bow before releasing an arrow. The arrow spiraled before putting a hole in the front bandits throat. “It is usually better to attack first as we want to avoid damage to the town and the people. Think you can handle the remaining seven?”

Qiao was starting to feel better as the healing took place. He considered himself lucky that no considerable damage was done. It was just a lot of pain that was patching itself up. While he was not completely healed he considered himself in fighting shape. As the girls got their magic back Qiao was feeling moderately impressed the two of them were strong. Lydia’s magic caught his attention more. Qiao had not seen a light mage since his cousin went missing. They were incredibly rare and Qiao was feeling a bit jealous. Artemis was a water mage that was strong but her element did not impress him. Water was as common as his own wind, he could walk outside the Peacock base and find at least three commoners in the town with the same element as them both. Compared to Lydia that may have five people with Light element magic in all of Clover. [break][break] A laughing noise sent a shiver down his spine. His mind flashed back to the battle as a train mage Qiao went to work. It was a shame he had no protective measure on himself at the moment. He started channeling another spell to grow his wings and rat feet for mobility, he used the spell to cover himself in another layer of illusion. A spell of darkness covered him in an illusion and he was honestly surprised. To be able to see through his illusion spell to target him in an illusion required immense skill or luck. Qiao could practically count the amount of people that he knew that could do something like this. He flew upwards bumping into the wall a bit while trying to move towards the others more. Qiao would consider himself mildly lucky that he knew how illusion spells worked. [break][break] Qiao targeted the nearest monsters that he believed to be the attackers. A pink blob would manifest for a moment before disappearing with his magic. The blob would split into two targeting two separate Annihilators. The two that were targeting Lydia, he was being nice and returning the favor of the earlier assist. Except he probably would not complain about it. The issue was the fact that Qiao hoped they could finish the fight soon. He doubted he could continue with the same amount of mana he was putting out for too long. He approximated about four minutes of fighting with the same amount of spells he was channeling.
[break][break][break][break]
COMBAT SUMMARY
- [break] Qiao is channeling four spells. One spell to heal himself that he is continuing from the last post. One spell that is allowing him to fly at 20m/s to avoid the illusion/attack, this same spell is supposed to make him invisible to those without high enough sensory. One spell to target the two anihilators attacking Lydia. The last spell is a spell he is still casting from the last post that makes everyone one invisible to everyone by pulling an illusion over their eyes. Exceptions being people with sensory too high. Qiao as it is his own spell, and the girls as he is using the sensory ammo rules to avoid them both.
Page 2: Cure[break] Name of Spell: Technique to cure rat poison[break] Elemental Type: Wind[break] Spell Rank &Type: Senior, Healing, Sensory/Illusion[break] Spell Range and Speed: 60m, 30m/s[break] Mana Cost: 30 cast, 15 upkeep[break] Stats: +6 Control[break] Applicable Perks: Skilled Sniper, Quick Shot, Archangel’s Blessing, Healing Specialist, Oddity: Pink, Master Illusionist, Shattered Psyche[break] Description: Qiao creates a pink rat made of wind from his hands. The rat moves towards the target that has been picked out and rushes towards them. The rat runs around the target leaving a pink trail. The trail will be absorbed by a wound healing it in the process. If a curse is involved the rat will bite at the invasive magic and start to do battle to rid the target of it. Qiao can mentaly change the target ,as well as turn the rat invisible by sensory sight, and sound standards; and if allowed the effect can be applied to the target. If the sensory stat is high enough it will still be seen as if normal. For every 50 in control he can create an additional rat like this besides the initial rat. [break][break][break]
Page 3: Sneaking thief[break] Name of Spell: Sneaking rat thief transformation[break] Elemental Type: Wind[break] Spell Rank &Type: Senior, Transformation, Sensory/Illusion[break] Spell Range and Speed: 40 m [AoE], 30m/s for the illusion[break] Mana Cost: 30 cast, 15 upkeep[break] Stats: -9 Sensory to sensory for enemies, speed becomes 20m/s if flying as transportation, strength raised to int rank[break] Applicable Perks: Master Illusionist, Shattered Psyche, Oddity: Pink[break] Description: Qiao changes his body through transmutation; he can replace his hands and feet with rat claws, while growing small pink wings on his back. They grow through his clothes without damaging them. The claws give him grip to scamper around and perform rat-like movements like climbing walls and whatnot as if it was normal. The wings could be used for take off and aerial movement but his speed becomes 20m/s. He can carry up to three people while in this form. One in each hand claw and one between his rat feet. [break][break] As the spell does have an illusion, part Qiao releases a pink stream of air from his body that surrounds him and the carried passengers it hides the sight, smell, and mana presence. If the sensory stat is high enough or ki is being used he can still be noticed. [break][break][break]
Page 1: Hide and Seek [break] Name of Spell: Hide amongst the grass as you seek your food.[break] Elemental Type: Wind[break] Spell Rank &Type: Grand, Sensory/illusion[break] Spell Range and Speed: 40m aoe + Sensory bonus, 45m/s[break] Mana Cost: 50 cast, 25 upkeep[break] Stats: N/A[break] Applicable Perks: Master Illusionist, Quick Shot, Shattered Psyche[break] Description: A clever piece of magic that took Qiao some time to understand. The spell is first for the first part a sensory spell. It is like a large bubble of air that Qiao makes with himself in the bubble, or even on the edge right outside. The position of the bubble is based on where he wishes to place it. As long as it is touching him. The inside of the bubble is full of air that Qiao can analyze and interpret. The spell will search out traps, help him look for flaws in illusions to see past them, and provide information about the things inside the spell. [break][break] The second part of the spell is what can make it a pain. The spell is also an illusion spell using Qiao’s wind. The spell blurs hides the smell, sight, hearing, and sensory ability of anything inside the range. He can choose a specific target or a specific area inside the spell to be unaffected. The unaffected will not have their senses blurred and it would be as if the spell was not cast to them. If an area is chosen anything can go in and out of that area. For every 75 Qiao has in the control stat, besides the initial designation he can designate another area or person. [break][break][break]
Page 3: Breath Attack[break] Name of Spell: Eat the stinky cheese and use your breath to attack[break] Elemental Type: Wind[break] Spell Rank &Type: Grand, Attack, Sensory/illusion[break] Spell Range and Speed: 170m, 85 m/s[break] Mana Cost: 50 cast, 25 upkeep[break] Stats: +9 Power[break] Applicable Perks: Master Illusionist, Quick Shot, Skilled Sniper, Apex Predator, Shattered Psyche, Oddity Pink[break] Description: Qiao just released a haphazard blob of mana, that is 80 cubic meters in size. The spell moves oddly as if the blob has no set shape as it is more of a breeze. The spell is cast at a target in mind or can target a new target that Qiao set, it follows the target. Like a breeze the spells move swiftly it avoids direct confrontation by flowing around it. Allowing it to dodge other sources of mana in the way to reach the target. It will move through available holes, and around stuff to touch the target. The spell upon contact is like a ton of tiny knives that will rip and render the target. [break][break] This spell is an illusion mixed in with it and has a master illusionist. It cannot be sensed, seen, heard, or smelled by the target. They need the necessary amount of sensory to see it. Unless Qiao allows the spell to be viewed in any shape or form. [break][break] This is a tracking spell so this spell cannot be dodged easily, and it will move out of the way of spells that do not target it (this spell cannot be used to hit other spells by the caster). This spell targets one point that Qiao chooses with his gaze. [break][break] For every 75 Qiao has in control he can create another breeze of stealthy wind besides the initial first breeze. (Ammo rules)
Mana Zone Mirthful Takes Effect for the first floor as well as being inside a dungeon. +30 Mana[break] +9 Power for breath attack. +6 control for cure. -9 Sensory to all enemies looking at Qiao while in the weird rat transformation.

The registration was free but it costs to buy the poles. Qiao brought two before getting on in case one broke. He was always one to be more prepared than what was necessary. He made it onto the boat without issue and was enjoying the ride to their destination as the boat kept picking up speed. He did not want to stick around for too long with the salty sea air hitting him in the face due to the speed of the boat. He could not afford the sea salt drying out his skin. [break][break] As Qiao made his way to a more secluded space he stopped in surprise. One of the passengers was abnormally stronger than the usual standard. At first Qiao thought it was another knight but could not recall seeing her in a squad, or any magic knight indicators. As far as he could surmise about women Qiao even believed she could be called pretty. He decided he needed to take the initiative and get to know her. [break][break] “First time on a boat?” Qiao was starting with small talk. It was a shame he did not socialize often so his skills were as dusty as a medical book in the Crimson Lion base. “You look as unprepared for this fishing trip as I do. Except this get up is clearly a disguise to catch the thousand league shirtless fish. It’s an interesting species that only goes after people not wearing a shirt. I heard it taste delicious on the other hand.” Qiao was teasing, mixing fact with fiction he was trying to lighten the mood. He read in a book that exaggerated stories were a decent way to make friends. [break][break] Qiao was using his pink wind as if trying to make an illustration of what he was talking about. It looked more like an exaggerated stick figure puppet as Qiao was not the artistic type. He looked refined and cool when decked out but choosing clothes and making art was different. It was a shame that even some of his inventions suffered in the same way. They worked well, they just did not always look the best. He sometimes had artisans help out just to make the aesthetic better. [break][break] “If you want to catch any semblance of a fish. You can use one of these rods I rented. I tend to be a bit of a pessimist when it comes to equipment going wrong. If you want to use it just return it to the boat owners on departure.” He was not worried about her breaking the rod. Qiao knew he could afford it even if she did.
