As Artemis neared the Demon’s Skull, she would remember her first few weeks with the Green Mantis Magic Knights squad. It had been almost a disaster waiting to happen, a noblewoman surrounded by thugs and delinquents, all turning a new leaf, but still were rough around the edges. The women, especially, were quite combative when it came to Artemis’ presence. She supposed that a noblewoman was not really commonly seen as part of the dead beat squad, after all. Yet, Artemis rose above that.[break][break]
Power. That had been her goal. Power and prestige. And of course, control. Control of herself. Of her addiction to adrenaline. [break][break]
She would sigh, now arriving at the place. It was the same as always: empty and desolate.[break][break]
Turning now, she would position herself just below the Demon’s Skull, awaiting Valo as she was sure he would be arriving at any moment. Her sensory skills were quited honed, and the Vice Captain of the Green Mantis never miscalculated when it came to her sensory skills. That, coupled with her Ki Mastery, made her into a dangerous Magic Knight to deal with in combat, both melee and ranged. [break][break]

Valo walked towards Hage's Demon Skull where he would meet Artemis for their spar. He was going to approach this just like how he approached everything else, with full force and a headstrong attitude. He knew his chances of actually winning this spar was a flat zero. But it wasn't about winning this time, it was about proving how far he had come in the past few weeks since becoming a magic knight. He was confident that he did grow a lot, but his growth was far far from being done. He still had a very long way to go if he hoped to even rival and surpass Artemis like he said he would when they first met.
Valo started thinking about when him and Artemis first met, randomly at the local inn. He was so fresh into becoming a magic knight that he didn't even know how to request jobs correctly. But Artemis showed him how to do so, and would take him on his first series of jobs giving him the run down. He was truly thankful for Artemis for the way she looked out for him in her own way. But now his main focus would be to try and prove himself at all costs.
Truth be told he was looking forward to this moment, he knew one day him and Artemis were going to spar. Mostly as a test for him, but a spar none the less. There was most likely going to be more spars in the future the more he grew. He was going to use these fights as a guide of sorts, this would be his first. He was going to keep in mind how long the fight lasted, what he was able to counter, what he was unable to counter. What completely caught him off guard, and what tactics did actually work. He was going to use this as a way to further improve himself and see how far he had to go to catch up.
He approached the Demon's Skull and saw Artemis waiting there, he wanted to keep it short and get ready to begin. "Artemis! No holding back!" He said looking at her with determined eyes. That was all he said before he began his attack. He wasn't going to wait for her, he was going to take the fight to her. He was an offensive mage first, waiting to be struck wasn't really an option for him. His grimoire floating by his side glowing a red and orange hue. "Hi no Tori!" he shouted summoning three of his flaming bird golems as soon as they summoned one above him and other two at his left and right sides, he would command them via mana tether to attack Artemis. He wouldn't stand idly by though as he started to rush in himself at his full speed.

Artemis would watch as the young man rushed her. It was a very admirable way of fighting. If one knew their own strength, and could properly make a good guess to the strength of their opponent. The problem was that Artemis was leagues beyond Valo Stark in both strength and magical prowess. If Artemis used all of her spell repertoire, Valo was sure to be torn into shreds with just one spell. No, she had to be more careful with how she approached this fight. Give the young man enough to test his skill, but not enough to kill him.[break][break] “Hyacinth”[break][break]
Five of her most trusted and oldest golems came to life, and immediately went forwards towards the three golems that Valo had. They would use each other to bounce and attack the golems, taking them head on. While three of them did that, the other two would engage the young man, making their way towards him faster than his own movement speed.[break][break] “Let’s see how you can deal with these, plus one more.”[break][break]
Artemis’ grimoire flipped a couple more pages, landing on another one of her spells. An old one, but a good one. [break][break]
“Thousand Needles.”[break][break]
An illusion was cast around Artemis. The person walking into it would be assaulted by an illusion of being pierced by a thousand needles. At the same time, it would happen in real time, where the water droplets that surrounded Artemis now would turn into needles, and start stabbing at her enemies.

It creates a visual illusion of the opponent being stabbed by thousands of needles. The water particles that was used to create the illusion also become very sharp and starts stabbing the opponent at the same time as the illusion starts. While channeling, Artemis is able to keep her allies safe within her area of effect, through the use of sensory and ability to pinpoint enemies from allies. Having her spell avoid allies coincides with ammo rules. Opponents hit have their sensory debuffed as well, based on debuff rules.[break][break]

It can also take short verbal commands that are simple in nature. It is 2 meters tall and attacks by rolling at its opponent/s. Artemis can create more than one golem using golem creation ammo rules.[break]

As Valo rushed in hopping to start his attack but Artemis had summoned golems of her own five in number. The young magic knight wasn't surprised though, although he had never seen her golems first hand a spell like this wasn't surprising. "Rise." he said simply as he grabbed hold of the golem's leg he had flying above him with his left hand.
With this command all three of golems would fly higher into the air, out of reach from Artemis's own golems attacks. He noticed the golems using each other and bouncing attacks to try and reach and attack but with his Hi No Tori being able to take flight easily and getting higher with his command avoiding their attempt to attack wasn't difficult. But it did give Valo the perfect position to start sniping them out.
He pointed with his right index finger, taking aim at three of the golems. "Burner Finger." he said releasing a beam of fire from his finger aiming to hit one of the golems, he continued and fired two more shots hoping to hit two more. He would aim and attempt to hit the three golems that tried to bounce up and attack his own golems, he need not worry about the other two that came after him as his own golem flew him at least ten meters high into the air.
But what he was worried about most, had struck her illusions. "Tch. Already." Artemis's illusions were potent, powerful and deadly and to make matter worse, Valo at the moment was no good at countering them. Especially illusions that were from Artemis she was just to high a level. His sensory skills were mediocre and was no match for the vice captain. Via Mana tether he would command his golems to descend bringing them back to ground level, and used another verbal command. "Cover!" to have all three of his golems use their wings and bodies to cover Valo completely. Her spell activated causing Valo to fall completely to her spell, but a smirk appeared on his face. As he had seen her use this spell before, on his first mission.
He fell into the illusion seeing a thousand needles pierce him, but as he planned he didn't feel them. His golems had done their part in protecting him from the real attack, each of his three hi no tori were destroyed because of it though. His grimoire floating by his side he wasted no time activating another spell, one that would double his speed. "Fureaakuseru V 2" he said quickly with his lantern always equipped to him increasing his base speed, and the activation of this spell. He could now move at 20m/s easily using this speed he would rush towards her golems first, aiming to take each down with a solid physical attacks two kicks each. If that were successful he would continue his attack towards Artemis. "Bureizuāku." he said as he did another spin kick sending an arc for flame towards his Vice Captain.

[break]Description: Another offensive spell Valo adds to his arsenal, with a single swing kick mostly a round house kick an arc of flame will follow and jet toward the intended target. Much Like First Ignition Valo will tend to use this spell up close or at a distance depending on the situation.
Artemis would watch as the young man defended himself from the first wave of water needles, and at the same time deal with her golems. It was a tried and proven tactic to use one’s golems as some sort of defense. Of course, she herself had done that before. The versatility of golems made them one of the most useful types of spells that she could utilize in combat, and it seems that Valo Stark knew about it as well. However, it had weaknesses. One of which she would exploit as the young man took cover, and in effect, took her away from his sights.[break][break]
“Come to me.”[break][break]
One of the Hyacinth golems would back up and rejoin Artemis’ side. It would be her weapons to catch the man off guard later on, She knew he was one that would charge straight towards her when he found the opportunity. Artemis figured it would be an interesting way to catch the man off guard.[break][break]
And then, she was proven correct. [break][break]
The man sent a spell, and Artemis weaved out of the way of. It was fast, but not fast enough for Artemis who could track the mana signature of the spell, and its projected trail. [break][break]
“Go.”[break][break]
The last Hyacinth golem would jump and shoot itself towards Valo, before Artemis cast her next spell.[break][break]
“Thalassa.”[break][break]
Three spears appeared in front of Artemis. One of which she sent straight towards Valo who might be distracted with the golem. The second and third she took by the handle, one on each hand. She would test their weight before turning her attention towards the man. She would be ready to block and parry any attacks sent towards her. If it was a melee fight he wanted, it was what he would get.

Valo saw as his vice captain effortlessly avoided his spell, he knew it was most likely not going to hit but it was still ticked him off. It seemed like landing even one hit was going to be tough, and he wouldn't have had it any other way. He saw her send forth her last golem at him, hoping to catch him off guard but his increased speed allowed him to react with enough time. As the golem came towards him, he would meet it with an elbow strike if it hit it would certainly destroy the golem.
But what Valo was not ready for was another water spear like attack coming his way, he was sure she wasn't just going to send one golem at him. The problem was the speed at which the spear moved, it was much to fast for him to react too he could only brace himself and block with his arms. The water spear struck causing a burst of water to hit him, his mana skin would be able to take the blow but he still felt the pain. He clenched his jaw after taking such an impact, and to make matters worst the water from the attack blinded him! "Tch. Can't see.." The water had splashed in his eye's, robbing him of his sight for a short period. But even in a fight a short period of time was much to long, he couldn't waste another second worrying about it.
His grimoire floated to his side quickly. "Cerberus!" he said trying to wipe the water from his eyes. Two six meter long golems, each one with three snarling maws looking towards Artemis with a mana tether he commanded them both to charge towards Artemis. It was a desperate attack yes, but Valo was left with little options with the fact that he could not see. After he would be able to wipe the blinding water from his eyes, he would access the situation before charging in. One golem would be charging towards her left and the other her right.

Puppet Master: This Perk allows your Golems to start with a bonus of +3 to all of its Stats. At Grand Rank this bonus increases to +5. If this Perk is applied to a Balanced Golem these bonuses increase to +5 and +10 instead.
Description:Keruberosu or Keru for short is large canine like creature made of pure flames. A full length of 6 meters in width this rather large golem is used mostly for offensive support, using either one of it's three maws to voraciously bite, crunch and savagely attack a victim. Since the golem is made of the fire element it's teeth and claws are very hot to touch and can leave burning damage. Keruberosu can be used for transportation following the transportation guidelines for intermediate ranked golem spells. Carrying up to two people at a time moving at speeds of 10 m/s. While visually they are savage beasts, they fully respond to commands given by it's user through a mana connection and also verbally. .
Artemis would watch as the young man took the damage of her spear. It was unavoidable for him, being slower than the spell itself. She would watch as the young man would try to rub out the water that had assaulted his eyes, blinding him for the moment. She would not move. She would not attack. Instead, Artemis wanted to see just how the young man would approach this situation now. Some would try to back away, others might push on and be beaten to death by their opponent. [break][break]
Then, the golems were summoned. [break][break] “Interesting…” Artemis would watch the golems come to life and charge at her from to different directions. It would be a good strategy, and casting spells really did not need sight at all, especially for golems. At least, it did not need proper sight. Artemis was sure that the young man was able to at least see her position in a blurred fashion, which wa show he directed his golems to attack her. A valiant effort, but a moot one. [break][break]
The golems were slow. Artemis used her spear to run towards the left one and stabbed it in the chest before it could do anything, tracking its movements using Ki. The second one would be the recipient of her second spear, throwing it at faster speeds than its own, piercing it straight through and would have collapsed lifeless. [break][break]
With only one spear in hand, Artemis would charge towards Valo. The ball was in her court now, and she wanted to see what Valo Stark was made of. [break][break]
The single Thalassa spear she had would be used in a straight stabbing motion, aiming for the man’s torso. Valo might be able to block or get away from it, but only just. Of course, Artemis would not be hurting her own squadmate. At least, intentionally. She had faith he would be able to respond in kind.

Valo finally managed to wipe the water blinding effect from her spell off his eyes, his vision did allow him to see her effortlessly destroy his golems. Another thing that didn't surprise him but yet annoyed him, he did originally plan to use his golems differently. But he was in a desperate situation and it called for a desperate action, he didn't regret it he just had to keep fighting. He wasn't going to be satisfied unless he was able to land at least one hit on his vice captain, and he planned to do it.
His grimoire floated to side quickly, it was time for another spell. "Sāto no ken." he said, causing two ethereal blades made of heat and flame to appear in front of him. She was now approaching him with her own attack and he had to act fast, Valo himself was fighter and preferred fights up close it was his speciality. But Artemis was Artemis, so he knew she definitely had the advantage up close, mid rand and long range. There was no range where he had the advantage. But he still wanted to test it, just how outclassed was he? A small smile of excitement appeared on his face.
With one quick flick one coming from his right hand, Valo would shoot one of his ethereal blades towards Artemis moving horizontally as it spun in the air trying to hit it's target as she ran toward him.
He kept the other one near him, just in case. She was approaching quickly with her own attack thrust, Valo's speed still increased would give just barely the enough to weave his upper down and towards his right. He would attempt to counter with a kick from his left leg, but his leg had his other ethereal blade following it's movement exactly. So it wasn't just a kick, but also a slash attack coming from the hot blade itself as well.

Apex Predator: For every Attack creation spell that deals damage on a person, you will gain +3 power stack-able buff caps after 5 attacks or +15.
Description: Sāto no ken is a spell that summon an ethereal red glowing blades made of pure heat and flame. The blade is 4 feet tall in length. The blade will hover right behind it's user and automatically follow Valo as he moves throughout the battlefield. In addition Valo is able to move it at will at 20 m/s, for the distance of 20 meters AOE. This spell was created to further increase Valo's offensive potency and damage output by following his own melee attacks. The blade itself able to do at rank damage. The blade being made of fire will add burns with every slash and pierce. This spell is also able to augment Valo's natural strength to intermediate levels. He is also able to make more blades following Intermediate spell ammo rules of 30 control.
Artemis would watch the young man finally respond to her attack. She did not doubt him for one second, after all. She was expecting him to be able to do something, and she was rewarded. As such, Artemis would feel the surroundings, track his spell, before using Thalassa to first slash the oncoming sword. Using her Ki sensing, she did not even need to look towards the oncoming spell, having tracked its position and trajectory instead. Though of the same rank of spell, Artemis’ power level was just higher.[break][break]
“Try again.”[break][break]
And then, the young man would attack her physically. It was interesting, and Artemis would flip her Thalassa spear as Valo seemed to be taking the physical fight up a notch. He would dodge, and then send in a counter attack. A kick. And a sword.[break][break]
Thalassa was quickly used to slash the sword, and as both spells clashed with Thalassa once more overpowering the sword and making it disappear into nothingness; dispelling the spell. And while most would think that Artemis would dodge the physical attack sent towards her, she instead tracked the leg with her Ki senses, before using her right hand and grabbed it in mid-air. “Not bad, but you will need to do better.” [break][break]
Artemis would, at close range, use her left hand which was still holding onto her Thalassa spear and sent it straight towards the young man’s exposed side. His leg, after all, was most likely caught in Artemis’ hand. However, the Vice Captain would not hold onto it too tight. After all, she wanted to keep testing the young man, not send him to the infirmary this early. It would give Valo a chance to disengage, if he wanted to.

It was like every attempt of an attack, or counter was easily met with one of her own. Artemis was just vastly faster and stronger than Valo at this point. He didn't anticipate her just outright destroying his blades so easily like they were nothing. This time was slightly shocked to see it happen, mostly because he took a lot of pride in that spell as one of his main ones but to see her break them with little effort just left him wondering how strong could she actually be.
She was able to read and counter and grab hold of his kick attack, this was a really bad position for him. And he knew he had to get out of it quick, he didn't panic though he knew better than to panic and do something reckless. He had to access and respond, she grabbed hold but her grip wasn't tight. But since she was so up close, he had to use this somehow to his advantage, as soon as he realized her grip wasn't that tight and she was sending another spear attack his way. He would activate another spell, one of his favorite spells that has yet to let him down when used correctly of course. "Niji Tenka!" he shouted, but not using his arms or fist instead he activated the spell from the foot that she grabbed. Breaking free of the grip and kicking again right in front of her and hopefully able to land a direct attack at point blank range.
Unfortunately such a strategy would leave him exposed to her own strike, it was a desperate move to just land one hit against her but he did it anyway. Her spear struck him right where he was exposed on his left shoulder, just like before the water attack had a blinding effect robbing him of his vision for a short period of time. He would rub his eyes of the blinding water effect still standing. His vision blurry but he could still sort of make out shapes and colors, it wasn't the best but he didn't want to leave himself completely unguarded like before. He held up both arms in his fighting position, going to try his best to respond to anything she was going to throw at him. But a smirk could be seen on his face, despite being the clear disadvantage Valo was enjoying himself.

Following the same steps the base of the spell is simple in nature, but this time it can be used in either a punch or kick like motion. A eruption of red and orange flames will release aiming to damage and burn an intended target. Still capable of using it at a distance or point back range. Turning into a AOE with much wider range than the original when striking the ground.
Artemis would sense the mana build up from the young Magic Knight in front of her. It was split second, and she knew immediately that he was going to be casting a spell. And so, she would respond in kind. Her spell was already on her lips when he was uttering his. It was a split second decision, something that Artemis had honed throughout her years as a Magic Knight, leading up to her becoming a Vice Captain. [break][break]
“Hylla.” [break][break]
Artemis let the young man’s foot go in time as she found it engulfed in a spell that had been intended for her. A good decision. Possibly one of the more ingenious ways someone had tried to catch her during a melee combat simulation. It was good, but Artemis, as both a Ki Master and a Sensory Sage, is able to sense the slight shifts of both mana and physical energy. And so, almost simultaneously, her spell would surround her body, save the spear that would pierce through Valo’s left shoulder. [break][break]
Hylla, two the drake-like golems, would curl themselves around their caster. They had been summoned this way, letting her own water mana manifest around her body, instead of a specific area. Golem, versatile and powerful, were Artemis’ own way of fighting. Her fighting style combined all of her specialities, weaving it through her movements, and using them in all manners. There was no mana wasted. [break][break]
As the young man would pull back and away from Artemis, she would not give him the time to properly respond. Instead, she would send forward her two Hylla golems straight towards the young man. They would weave together, creating a vortex of water serpents racing towards their target. Artemis, herself would watch in anticipation. [break][break]
From what she had seen so far, Valo Stark had definitely improved.

Valo braced himself his vision coming back to him, but as he did he looked more astonished. She was able to not only counter his attack but send another one of her own at him, he was both surprised and just a little irritate he would have really bet that attack would have landed. But now he knew and it made sense, Artemis was not only a master of mana sensory but Ki as well catching her by surprise was nearly impossible, if not actually impossible. Ki was an ability the young Knight wanted to learn, but on his own it was not working for him. Maybe one day he would be able to pick up such an ability.
Though irritated Valo did not let this get to him, he kept his calm he took a quick breath in and then let it out. Two water like golems were headed his way and fast, his Vice captain left little time for him respond. This left him with little options, but he was still slightly faster then the golems thanks to his spell and lantern. It wasn't by much but it was enough for him to back away with quick short hops going back, his plan wasn't just to avoid though his grimoire floating to side as always. It glow a red hue as he activated another spell, "Sāto no ken" he activated his blade spell once more but this time using it much differently. The two blade floated at his backside ready to be used, but his spell didn't only give two blades to control but it also increased his strength. As the two golems came in, he aimed to punch one with his right arm and used his left arm to send one of his blades towards the other golem hoping to destroy both in one seamless movement.
If his attack would prove successful, he would start to make his way towards Artemis again his grimoire flashing red "Cerberus!" he would summon his two golems once more, but this time behind him as he made his way towards Artemis. But he would only do this if his attack on her golems were successful.

Description: Sāto no ken is a spell that summon an ethereal red glowing blades made of pure heat and flame. The blade is 4 feet tall in length. The blade will hover right behind it's user and automatically follow Valo as he moves throughout the battlefield. In addition Valo is able to move it at will at 20 m/s, for the distance of 20 meters AOE. This spell was created to further increase Valo's offensive potency and damage output by following his own melee attacks. The blade itself able to do at rank damage. The blade being made of fire will add burns with every slash and pierce. This spell is also able to augment Valo's natural strength to intermediate levels. He is also able to make more blades following Intermediate spell ammo rules of 30 control.

Puppet Master: This Perk allows your Golems to start with a bonus of +3 to all of its Stats. At Grand Rank this bonus increases to +5. If this Perk is applied to a Balanced Golem these bonuses increase to +5 and +10 instead.
Description:Keruberosu or Keru for short is large canine like creature made of pure flames. A full length of 6 meters in width this rather large golem is used mostly for offensive support, using either one of it's three maws to voraciously bite, crunch and savagely attack a victim. Since the golem is made of the fire element it's teeth and claws are very hot to touch and can leave burning damage. Keruberosu can be used for transportation following the transportation guidelines for intermediate ranked golem spells. Carrying up to two people at a time moving at speeds of 10 m/s. While visually they are savage beasts, they fully respond to commands given by it's user through a mana connection and also verbally. .
Artemis watched as her sparring partner would do his best to clear off his vision. And then, he would counterattack. She supposed it was a good idea to do so. Never be on the defensive too much if you are not the type to do so. And for Valo Stark, being on defensive was not in his lists of forte. Artemis knew that Valo was an offensive Magic Knight. His spells told her so, and if not that, then the way he approached the missions she had taken with him. But, to be an offensive type, one must understand that at any point, the tables can turn against you. [break][break]
At the end of the day, it’s all about understanding that a tactical retreat is acceptable.[break][break]
Her golems were destroyed. Artemis made no motion to have them evade Valo’s attack at all, instead, she had her golem take the hit, and they would disappear.[break][break]

She would comment, before her grimoire was immediately in motion. Ocean blue hue would envelop the tome as she found her spell. The last one she would throw at the man to see how he would handle such a situation.[break][break]
“Purgatorio.”[break][break]
Water droplets, miniature in size, would envelop the whole training grounds. Artemis would disappear from sight, hidden by the illusion, as Valo’s spell would be taken out of commission by her own area of effect spell. His swords would be overpowered by the water droplets. His golems would disintegrate. He would then suffer the effects of the illusion, seeing phantoms attacking him left and right, while being damaged by the illusion’s attack creation nature. Unless he did something, of course.[break][break]
Artemis herself would summon another set of her, “Hylla.” Having them coil around her body in an armor like fashion, both of their heads on either side of her shoulders, protecting their summoner and intimidating her opponents.

Surrounding her opponent/s, she casts an illusion with the water droplets which is imbued with attack creation magic. The illusion targets sight and hearing, making it seem as though the opponents are at being attack by numerous phantoms that they cannot hit. While they are within the area of effect of the illusion, opponents are are subjected to cut and stabs using the water droplets around them, mimicking the attacks of the "phantoms" as though they are real. Through sensory, Artemis is able to pinpoint opponents and target them specifically. She is also able to utilize ammo rule to conjure more than one Purgatorio, following ammo rules on damage. The spell also follows ammo rule on avoiding allies. Opponent/s caught in the spell have their sensory debuffed as well, based on debuff rules.[break][break]

Valo's next plans for attack came to a crushing end with just one spell activated from Artemis, one again he was reminded just how vast the difference one in strength. His next idea was to surround the water mage from all sides with attacks, to hopefully finally get a solid hit in. But now he had to think of another strategy completely with his spells broken through with Artemis's power alone.
This was a spell he hadn't seen her use yet, but it was similar to another spell she used. "Tch. Another." Valo said to himself sucking his teeth, he saw water droplets like before and Artemis vanished right before his eyes. He was under another illusion with little ways to get out of it, his sensory skills were lacking. Having poor sensory against a sensory mage was like a death sentence, Valo now learned when facing his Vice Captain. He saw phantoms start to appear he knew this was an illusion, but after the effects of her last illusion spell he knew there was an attack laced within the illusion somewhere.
Valo was left with little options now, his grimoire floated to his side as he activated another spell. "Niji Tenka!!" he shouted slamming his flaming fist on the ground creating a blazing AOE attack in hopes to overpower this illusion. But his spell was useless as it had no effect, the difference in power level was to great. Valo braced himself for the attack, a phantom swatted at him hitting the bulk of his arms. The attack sent him back a few meters, Valo wouldn't be able to withstand another attack like that. He looked around quickly and hoped find some kind of opening or anything, but her illusion was strong and to wide. There was no outrunning it. Valo had no choice but to concede the spar.
"Alright! I give!...It's your win!" he shouted with frustration, more upset that he couldn't get a single hit in.

Artemis would watch as Valo would struggle. He would not be able to do it. His power was not strong enough, nor is his spell repertoire tailored enough to beat someone like her. Artemis’ own spell was too powerful, even though it was technically a lower tiered spell in and of itself. She supposed that no matter how low the tier of the spell, the strength of her own magic augmented it. [break][break]
When the young man finally surrendered, Artemis would let the spell go. The illusion would slowly fade away for Valo. The water droplets would dissipate into the wind, her mana sustaining them now gone.[break][break]
“The test of strength against an opponent stronger than you is not overcoming them,” Artemis would start, as she finally closed her Grimoire and putting it back into the pouch that held it constantly. “It is when a person understands that life is more important than one’s pride, that a man’s true strength shows itself. Strength of character. Of will. Those are defining traits of a successful Magic Knight.” She would shake her head now, “There is no shame in retreating to fight another day. Being able to understand that, without letting your pride get to you, is true strength of character. Never waver. Look forward, and up. Learn from your mistakes, and become better.”[break][break]
Artemis would turn away from Valo, heading back inside. [break][break]
“I’m sure the cooks have something in store for us.” She would gesture for the man to join her, as she herself made her way to the dining area of the squad base.[break][break]
