Tora had a chunk of cheese, two crackers, and a sliver of salami in her mouth, chewing by the time she realized that the woman she had greeted in passing was.... actually paying attention to her. Her brows raised for a moment as she looked from the woman, to the man she had been talking to moments before. Oh snap... She took a moment to chew and swallow, taking a glass of water, not wanting to get smashed just yet, and promptly clearing her mouth and throat for a moment before patting herself on the chest and letting out a chuckling AHhhhhh before her attention shifted to Lydia, clear surprise on her face at that sudden flirtatious onslaught. Was it potential that Lydia had perhaps misread her idle greeting? Possibly, but Tora didn't mind in the slightest and still smiled as she responded. "Well aren't you a charmer?~ Fraid ahm not all that familiar with ye status though, ahm sorry to say. And I'm beholden to ye miss fer your compliments~ Made the suit mahself actually! Kinda bit o improvisation when ah found out this were more fancy fer an occassion. But ol Zou Yuan's never steered me wrong." She grinned, tapping her breast where that inscribed silver dragon was imprinted on her suit, the dragon promptly glancing in Lydia's direction for just a moment before it returned to it's original position. Like any card mage, she was always full of tricks.
All the same, at the shift of subject to the ball itself, she took a moment to glance around, her attention briefly shifting to the various parties. The ladies at the food table. Poor bengal she'd intended to get back to but well, she was sure the laddo would be fine. He'd probably find someone interestin or go after his girls. But all in all as she surveyed the .......fancy array of attendees, she did feel a bit out of place. She glanced at Lydia and smiled sheepishly. "Not really my usual habitat, but anyplace with good food and fine company's as good a place as any tae settle for the evenin. And what of yourself? Ah admit ah wouldn't peg you fer a dress kinda gal jus lookin at ya. What's a woman o your status doin here?" She ventured, probably erroneously assuming that having such station would give the woman more agency over where she spent her evenings. Though she supposed nobility also played a bit part in that, though she honestly had no idea if this woman was even a noble or just a celebrity anyway...
She took another bite of her little cracker sandwich as she let the woman answer, washing it down with her drink before sighing lightly, glancing down at the spread and humming a bit. As...... fancy as it all was. It still didn't feel......as good as home. dozens of dishes prepared by dozens of chefs no doubt. Fancifully arranged and displayed as though to welcome anyone and everyone to dine like they were handling priceless jewels rather than the heap of dead animal and flora that it more or less was. Not much heart in all of it in the end... and she sortof felt that lack of personality within the food itself. Not in the preparation, but in the fact that the chefs probably wouldn't even get to see them enjoying it. She hummed. "Guess that's the stump callin the shrub short as it were. Not exactly my kind a scene either ah admit. More of a huntin girl meself. Though a good number of the thins ahv run into are mana beasts." She admitted, tapping her plate for a moment before chuckling softly. "Hah, never really thought about tha, ye think mana beasts are edible?" She asked a bit jovially, amused at the notion of dragging something out of a dungeon and cooking it. Hmmmm, something to try perhaps.

A chuckle rumbled out of Bengal's chest as he watched Tora head for the food, shifting his gaze toward a few other faces at the party. Primarily, Ardere, Lydia, and the one that had caught his attention early on. He could go back to June and Eve, but it was clear June was currently on a bit of a self-made mission. Giving them a bit more time seemed like a good idea as long as the Silva didn't go too far overboard. Still, the food did look decent.
Releasing a slow breath he turned and moved toward the tables of food as well, meandering forward he sensed a bit of... tension, though not of a negative sort with Lydia and Tora. That was fine. He'd avoid them for now as well, and instead move so that he was a few feet from June and Eve. Close enough that he could intervene if things got a bit out of hand, but far enough to not interfere with their interactions as they tried to work past their own awkward, if adorable, tension.
Gathering up a plate of his own food, he waited patiently until Eve and June had finished their whispering before meandering up and smirking down at the pair with a bemused expression. "Settled a bit you two?" he inquired simply, though from the air around them it felt like they'd calmed down a bit. He did glance over whatever Eve had gathered. He knew all too well what June liked, but Eve was still a work in progress. Such was the difference in only knowing her for a few weeks in comparison to the years he'd been with his first wife-to-be.

Information was the name of the game, and he was here to play. Of course the bespectacled man had no interest in causing any issues with such a large gathering, but he knew that this sort of place would attract the kind of people he wished to learn about. Dressed in the same suit that he had "acquired" when he left the hellhole that was Kikka with his brother, he looked the part of formality, and could probably pass for an up, and coming noble if needed. Pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose he walked inside, golden orbs taking in the surrounding area with some mild interest. It seemed the party was already going well, but that meant little to him after all. This place of decadence was here to only serve the self interests of the pretenders after all, and for the night that is what he was going to be. A simple pretender.
With white gloved hands he ran his fingers through his jet black hair, and took in the guests that had already arrived. There was a large man who was probably overcompensating for something with all that size, with two women near him. A woman with hair that was often attributed to the Silva's, and near her another with dark hair, and skin. Quite the contrast, there was no accounting for taste here it seemed. Anyone who would mingle with royals, and nobles were more akin to dogs begging for table scraps, it was a pity. His gaze shifted over to a woman in a stunning red dress. This was someone anyone would be able to recognize even if they had never met her in person. The power she radiated was enough to dazzle a normal onlooker. Lydia Ravencrest, Vice Captain of the Crimson Lions, one of the more fearsome squads in the Kingdom.
And next to her was the Captain of the squad Ardere Kasai himself. Someone that Lucius had no intention of riling for the time being, but the fact that he was here with someone did pique his interest a little. There were others that he had no clue who they were, they didn't seem important to him. A giant of a woman was speaking to the man, and his two mutts. She reminded of something like an amazon. Around Lydia more people gathered, so his gaze turned to a particular Red Head that was with that group. A woman that he recognized though not for her exploits, or fame. No to him this woman was infamous, and he was thankful that he was seeing her here, and now rather than somewhere else. At least here he was forced to restrain his anger.
With a gentle sigh escaping his lips he averted his gaze to be met with the site of a woman he didn't recognize. She sported the same white hair as the Silva's, but she seemed to have an air of some authority around her. Perhaps she was some new Knight? Or maybe she was just another noble that was a pretender? He would have to keep his eye on that one, he didn't like unknowns, and she was an unknown to him for the moment. Aside from the random smattering of would be commoners this ball was almost exactly as he had expected it to be. Just a cesspool filled with nobles, knights, and the ones who loved them. It was a sight to behold.
But while he was here he could at least enjoy the party for what it was, opting to not drink wine since he didn't like his senses being dulled he walked over to the punch table, and got a glass of the red liquid. Drinking it slowly as he eyed the crowd looking for someone that he could distract himself with for a while as he continued to play his game. He truly hoped that his brother was having a better time than him in Kiten.
"Ah I should have just let him come here instead of me...But I shouldn't pout about the outcome I suppose it would be slightly childish of me." he chuckled softly as he continued to sip his drink looking for a dance partner for the future.

Cooper had in fact been put back into his place however this was no concern for him, it was still a party after all meaning there was plenty of fun to be had as well as information to gather. He wouldn't call himself someone who listens to gossip more try's to get a handle on the current affairs once that may or may no benefit him. He decided to go with the wine tonight as it seems what everyone else was doing and thought knowing it quality could be a point of conversation later. His walk still reeked of that confidence he seems to have a endless supply of the rest of his body language did seem somewhat more reserved he began walking over to greet Lydia already reviewing over what would be the most fitting string of words to show try and show off. However Hania words rung in his head and decided he would tone down his self importance a notch more. Cooper was about halfway over to the food table yet overheard a interestingsentence something along the lines of "how does your family feel about funerals?" Cooper eyebrow rose and spun on the balls of his feet he would scan the crowd and make his way with grace and somewhat haste over to the small girl and what seems to be a worried looking waiter. Cooper had a few lines in his mind to say but settled on what seemed to be the less provocative in his terms, "What seems to be the upset here?" Cooper inquires as he pushes the brim of his hat up slightly and offers his showman ship smile as a sign of good will. He probably knew it wasn't his place to step in but with party so early on to him it be a shame if any fuss was caused. He hopes it was not too much trouble he wasn't about to walk in on. Finishing the first glass of wine was pretty efficient, downed and gone quickly, and just as quickly replaced. She needed the buzz to try to mellow out her roiling emotions and the mess that was her mind, and she could feel it on the edges of her consciousness, and she was beginning to relax. How was she supposed to approach this now? She had basically got consent to… what? Flirt? With June? Something like that, but she wasn’t entirely sure how to go about it. Plus there was the fact that, based on June’s reactions to learning the news, she was just as dumbstruck as she was about how to approach it, albeit for different reasons. She did feel like it was enough that she could lean down while they were walking and whisper, “He wasn’t wrong, just didn’t know it was allowed.”
She took a moment and looked over Satori. In the depths of her imagination, she thought about what being with June would be like; it included being with Satori. She didn’t have a strong attraction towards him, but it wasn’t nonexistent either. She also owed him most everything she had; if he hadn’t come along, she would still be stealing a little bit every day to barely get enough to ensure she and her father survived. Now he was doing well, supported by Satori’s clan and working every day, and she had enough that she could get most anything she wanted in regards to the necessities. He also volunteered to pay for her food more often than not. He had the marks of someone she could rely on and could grow on her. She didn’t know that much about him yet, but just because the physical attraction wasn’t there yet didn’t mean it was impossible.
Lost in her own thoughts and a bit buzzed, she was caught off guard completely when June snagged her arm and steered her in the right direction of the food she had been eyeing, saying she was craving something that Eve doubted she could pronounce, much less knew how it tasted. She allowed her to set the pace, matching her stride (which was far shorter than her own) as they approached the table, and listened carefully as the woman began to explain things. She occasionally nodded, thinking about her answer. “To be honest… I don’t know. I never really had enough food to worry about taste… just whether or not it would make me sick. Maybe just tell me which ones you think are best? I’ll try everything.”
As if in response to being before the food, her stomach audibly grumbled, and she gave a slightly embarrassed smile. “And if it’s really good, I’ll come back for seconds, if that’s OK?” she asked, unsure what the etiquette was on the topic. This was a whole new topic.
Eve's admission that she was attracted to June solidified the shorter woman's conviction to "train" the taller woman in the ways of nobles. Eve would be marrying Bengal as well as herself if things went well, which would make the dark skinned woman a member of the Ryuutei clan. The Ryuutei were a powerful family in their own right and technically weren't commoners. That technicality could be shoved under the rug with the right clothes and polished manners. June would be above reproach.
With that plan in place, she waited for Eve to tell her what she liked to eat. The answer was... displeasing.
She stood on her toes and pulled the taller woman down towards her to murmur in her ear, "Eve, you'll always get your fill from here on out."
With that out of the way, the silvery-blue haired woman released her grip on the dark haired woman and guided her around the table. "I can assure you that while not all of this is up to our standards, none of it is prepared poorly enough to make you ill. I'll give you a sample of some of my favored dishes and you can give me your feedback on those to start with."
June found a plate and collected a variety of odds and ends. Meat on sticks, miniature sandwiches held together by toothpicks, stuffed grape leaves, cheese, and the like. Everything was arranged so that the plate, despite being filled to its capacity didn't look crowded. She handed Eve the plate before fetching another plate and adding a few deviled eggs along with some shrimp and a red sauce.
"You may also try some of my food if you wish. The benefit of sharing is that we can collect a wider variety of food without appearing greedy."
Shortly after they'd each had a few bites to eat, Bengal rejoined them. "I have curated a selection of my favorites for Eve to try. You should get some as well. Your tastes might be closer to what Eve likes than mine."
The comment could have been offensive, but the snarky tone that June would have put behind it was lacking. She was too busy playing hostess to Eve and wanted to ensure her "guest" got a full and satisfying experience with the food available. June wasn't familiar with Eve's tastes, so if she wasn't a fan of nobles' sometimes unusual tastes (some foods that were considered delicacies were of the sort that no commoner would eat willingly) then Bengal's would suit her just fine.

Good progress it would seem. Bengal chuckled softly as he watched June pulling Eve down as the two whispered back and forth, it was positive signs in their body language and ki. Shifting his gaze toward the table he finished with his plate, before stepping forward as June addressed him fully. Commenting that he should share some of his own with her as well, an amused chuckle passing his lips. To some those words may have been insulting, but Bengal was well used to his lover's sass and personality.
"I don't mind," he glanced over the plate that June had made. None of it looked like something someone of simpler tastes would be opposed to. A bit fancy, but everything here was. His own plate was heavy unlike June's care to distribute it over various plates. Bengal instead held a mountain of various meats and dishes. Steak, heavier foods like potatoes and root vegetables, rare winter salad, various fruits, and berries.
Notably his own food was more focused on emphasizing the base flavors of the foods, there was little complexity in his dishes. Simpler was more accurate, but also richer and more focused. Shrugging he lowered a hand, taking the plate from June so she wouldn't have to carry them before nodding toward one of the tables. "Shall we sit, then? That should make sharing these quite a bit easier." It seemed they had gotten past their little awkward stint.
That was a good start. He'd help nudge them along from there, hopefully without causing the women to shut down and turn into stuttering, awkward, if adorable messes. He led the way toward an empty table, setting the plates down carefully before pulling the seats out for both of them to sit before grasping one of the larger seats near where some of the Crimson Lion's had gathered. Using the heftier furnishing to sit down himself as well, though even it complained a bit under his weight.

[attr="class","florencetext"] It seemed that perhaps Lydia has misread the greeting but such things were possible she was human after all well fifty percent anyway the other fifty was an even split of elf and witch. On the bright side it seems the other women didn't take offense to Lydia's respose back which was always good. It was a little hard to understand what the other women was saying at times but the vice captain was able to piece it together for the most part. I can be a charmer at times when I find the person interesting. So you made the suit yourself huh? Well it seemed to me you have a skill for making clothing at least in my opinion but I've been told by others my eye for fashion isn't always the best. The trick she pulled of with the suit made Lydia smile a bit but at the end of the day the pink haired mage assumed it has something to do with the other women's magic. [break][break] Then she asked the age old question of what was someone like Lydia doing here which was a fair question. Yoh say this isn't your kind of thing but you just came here for the food? As for the people I'd be careful some of them aren't as nice to commoners as myself. The glass mage would take another drink of her wine before she kept speaking. I wear dresses from time to time but mine line of work makes it so that I normally can't. As for what brings me here as much as I love balls like this one that's not the real reason I'm here. I'm the head of the Ravencrest family which is one of the main noble families in our wonderful kingdom. Seeing as this was hosted by the king himself I was expected to show up myself. [break][break] Such is the duties of a noble at times. The vice captain was confused by the first part of Tora's statement but was able to piece the others together. I'm not sure i understand the first part. However I heard that Kiten is having a hunt and feast festival this year during the Yule festival so perhaps you might be interested in stopping by that sometime? As for your question on if you can eat mana beast I'd say no as most if not all mana beats I've fought just fade away after you kill them so it would be kind of hard to cook them. The Ravencrest would then finish off her glass of wine handing it off to a waiter passing by. Before we continue this talk I should remind you that you haven't given me your lovely name yet. While I don't take offense to that there are others at the party who would.

Tora raised a brow slightly at that and grinned. " OF course! Growin up out in the forsaken region ya gotta be able to do what ya can with your magic most of the time! So havin tae use my magic however I can kinda is a natural part of things. First time makin somethin so fancy though. Kinda like how it came out. Might have ta wear it more often." She noted with a grin, pausing for just a moment as she considered the woman's assertion about things. She glanced over to the trio she'd just left, seeing them happily talking and being social near one of the other food tables. she considered it for a moment. "Not like I don't enjoy a good chatter, jus not exactly used tot he noble types...." She noted, though she did quirk a brow a little as the woman explained why it was she had been made to attend the occassion. "Seems kinda silly. Don't you have work to do around the kingdom? Seems kinda silly ta pull you outta all that just to make you attend a thing like this. Especially with all the stuff goin on out there... Heard some sort of beasts have popped up and were makin trouble all over the place." She pointed out and furrowed her brows, shaking her head and sighing.
She really didn't understand these magic knights. They were supposed to be helping the general public, and yet they were being dragged into events like this? Not only that but some of the ....mannerisms of the knights she'd run into. That one Knight that had outright lied to her in an attempt to get her to do his work... and some of the more noble knights that seemed to think they were more like rulers than public servants. It was a strange place to be certain. She took a small bite of some gravied up turkey and then considered the subject some more, at least until the mention of the hunt. AND the fact that she hadn't introduced herself yet. She paused, taking her time to swallow before chuckling and grinning wide. "Ah darn! Sorry bout that! was a little swept up in the conversation! Ain't erry day ah get someone lovely as yerself givin me a mackin! Name's Tora! Tora Gui, a pleasure to meet ye, Miss Ravencrest." She noted with a curtsy despite her attire.
"and as fer a hunt, sounds like a grand time! Been huntin quite a......while now......" She paused for a moment, as she thught abut it a moment. Mana beasts usually dissolved? She thought back to that monster she'd fought near that town that had killed the bear, it's body had seemed to stick around... Did that mean it wasn't a mana beast after all? OR had it simply been some kind of rare one? She stared off into space with her brows furrowed in concentration. She ... might have to make her way back there... after all, she didn't knbow if they had foudn any more of the beasts in the area, what if they travelled deeper into the kingdom? A sound of glasses clinking nearby caused Tora to perk up, a bit jostled from her train of thought. Ah right she was in the middle of a conversation, she could worry about that stuff .... well, not TOO later. But she had a beautiful woman in front of her, she smiled a bit sheepishly. "Sorry, thought about a bit o a hunt ah did not too long ago. Funny business it were. sorry if ah seemed distracted, you were saying... the hunt yea? Ah'd be right honored ta accompany you."
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia was surprised to hear that Tora had made her outfit with her magic. Let alone managing to make something as fancy as her suit first try. You made it with your magic? Does that mean you use some kind of cloth magic or did I perhaps misunderstand what you meant by that if so I apologize. Lydia wasn't all to surprised that Tora was from the forsaken region based on the way she spoke. Not to say the way she spoke was dumb but it was less refined than someone who grew up in the common or noble region. I do suppose that growing up in the forsaken region would have been harder than growing up in the noble region like I did. Most of us nobles have it lucky growing up for the most part even if they don't realize it. [break][break] Some other the less intellectual would have thought Lydia was talking bad about nobles which she wasn't. She was a realistic one when it came to how nobles grew up not having worry about money and other such things. The vice captain would let out a small laugh at the noble comment after all the other women wasn't talking bad about them she was simply saying she wasn't use to there type of lifestyle. I understand what you mean by that. I find it hard to deal with sometimes myself but it's something I have to deal with for the sake of my family. It seemed as if the other women might have misunderstood the reason why Lydia was hear but it was a valid question none the less. Oh I'm not here as a magic knight myself but simply as a noble lady. As for the magic knights we haven't forgotten about the deamon threat and even now we are working to deal with it. [break][break] Trying to find out there next move and such but that work is better left for a azure deer and not a crimson lion. My sqaud tends to deal with more of the combat based things rather than gathering information. Lydia would give a small smile as the women apologized to her. Don't worry about and thank you for the complement. It's nice to meet you Tora. Lydia would then give a slight bow. You can just call me Lydia if you want but if you prefer a more formal address then it would be Lady Ravencrest nobles are very picky about that kind of thing myself included. As the other women invited Lydia to go hunting with her the vice captain would think about it for a moment. That sounds like a good idea and I'd love to go it's been awhile since I've last went hunting. [break[break] Sadly it will have to be tomorrow as the ball will last quite late but I'd glady let you stay at my estate and we could head out first thing in the morning? Lydia would once again pause and look around the room before turning back to Tora. Would you grace me with a dance Tora. If you don't know how I can teach you. Assuming the other women agreed Lydia would hold out her hand for Tora.

Perhaps there was a degree of sympathy felt for Julien, though not enough. Michail had an incredibly minute idea of where Julien was coming from. Not enough to deter him in how he treated the Reinsberg, of course, but enough to where he didn't treat the man with open hostility for his transgressions. Family.
To Michail, it was his everything. But he also lacked the understanding of why Lydia was the way that she was. If she was the head, then she held the power to decide how things went. He knew that. But the way she went about things was crass, undignified, and brutal. It was efficient, at nothing else, but lacked the poise that he felt came with their position.
He placed a hand over his scar as he thought about this as Julien responded. Whatever he said, Michail didn't listen. It wasn't as if it was worth listening to. Perhaps some one-worded response that was a blatant lie. Michail knew he was miserable here. Though that begged the question, as his presence here was his presence everywhere:
was misery just this one's norm?
Well, Michail didn't care if it was one way or another. It wasn't his problem to fix. He was no life counselor, after all.
But of course, speaking of family-induced trauma, his own happened to show up, and of course, the younger of the two brought company. He hadn't a clue who either of them was, but frankly, he didn't care. He'd avoid them to ensure a "happy night", something that he desperately wanted when it came to the ball, but something he never got.
And of course, his mentally deficient cousin showed up. Michail's face shriveled up akin to a raisin when Cooper announced himself so. Did he seriously not realize how ... stupid that was? He couldn't think of another word. Who the hell did that? That was the exact attitude that the King would have had. There was a matter of being arrogant, and then there was just being stupid. This was the latter as far as the blonde was concerned, sighing.
"...At any rate Reinsberg, I suppose if there was a time to unwind, it would be now. You're only going to show everyone that you stand out and have even more eyes on you if you act akin to a peasant. I don't imagine the sensation of having all eyes on you is pleasant given... everything, really."
"Though that's assuming you can relax, to begin with."
The woman tilted her head just a little as the woman replied. She herself paused for a moment at that and rubbed her chin. Huh, that was a bit hard to explain, she usually used her magic instinctively, and transformation magic was her usual go to for outfits. But ....WAS it cloth magic? She glanced down at herself and picked at the material. She wondered if there was actual cloth magic involved when she turned her outfits into other things. But thankfully the subject wasn' something she had to dwell too much on. "Hmmm, honestly if ye ask me, I'd say it's harder to live in clover. A lot of the villages I've come across aren't doing all that great. In the Forsaken realm at the very least we could rely on ourselves, and things were usually a matter o trade. Yul seems to coplicate things more than ennythin." She noted lightly.
As they moved onto why she was here, she did quirk a brow at that. "Daemon? That's that?" She murmured, her brows knitting together a little. She hadn't really heard anything about that. Well.... she'd HEARD a lot about it, but she hadn't really been in a position to ask about the specifics of what they were. SHE had more been talking about the general gist of things. There were lots of people that needed help for things outside of whatever the daemons were. But the whole faminly business of it still seemed odd. the Azure deer comment however did make her......furrow her brows a bit. That man that had gone tricking her had said he was an Azure deer hadn't he? She kept that bit of information in the back of her head. And it seemed this woman was a Crimson Lion. It was a little dizzying keeping track of all these names... but even so.... Bah, she was overthinking this. She needed to stop being such a worrywart.
She was pleased as the woman seemed yo enjoy the compliment, though her expression did grow a little confused Lady? She cringed at the very idea of being called LADY anything. The very idea made her feel old and she already started to feel like she wasn't gonna be all too fond of these noble types. Fancy titles and nonsense like that just seemed strange to her. "Ah, right, I'll try an remember that." She noted, a notable dip in her enthusiasm in response to it. The hunt at least sounded..... hm... She pursed her lips a little. If there were rules about just talking, she could only imagine what kinda restrictions would be involved in hunting down an animal. Would they have to use bows or something? The very notion left a bit of a sour taste in her mouth. Thankfully, the subject kept rolling. "Ah, thank ye kindly but that's alright. Don't think I'd really feel at home in a place like that, wouldn't be able to sleep a wink, though I'm mighty grateful for the offer." She smiled warmly, a bit surprised when she noticed the music. honestly it was so quiet and peaceful that she had barely even noticed it.
Still, the offer to dance? She looked out to the dance floor at the others. It was nthing like the dancing she knew back home, it was so.....serious. But even so, the others there certainly seemed to be .....enjoying themselves? The ones that weren't smiling thrigh their teeth at eachother. And even more, she could hardly turn down a lovely lady. She smiled, that nervous curve shifting to that calm grin as she gently took the offered hand from the woman. "I'd be honored to dance with ya~ Might take me a bit to get used to dancin to music like this, but I'm a fast learner." She grinned, winking at the woman as she allowed herself to be led out to the dance floor. If nothing else, Lydia would find Tora to be surprisingly graceful. A life of living with her rather demurely-statured family had meant she grew up being careful and mindful of her body, which meant she was very good at moving herself.

Hearing June make a solemn vow that she wouldn’t go hungry again caused her to blink in confusion for a moment, not entirely sure how to accept something like that. Hunger was something that she wasn’t sure she ever went without, one of the few constants in her life. Granted, lately, she hadn’t needed to worry about surviving as much, but she almost always felt hungry, even though it barely registered with her anymore. Hearing that it was something that she was going to abolish, she was a mixture of doubtful and hopeful… but she responded with a joke, as per protocol anytime she wasn’t sure how to respond. “You can certainly try, June. But I tend to be ravenous more often than not. And I like the idea of sharing.” Flashing her a wink and a smirk, she began to collect her own plate worth of food, noting what she was getting and grabbing things that she didn’t.
Satori rejoining them earned a polite smile and a nod, looking at his plate and noticing the things that she was probably more leaning towards, only because she knew that it helped keep you from being super hungry for longer. The fact that they were all going to be sharing made her smile, and she nodded to the wisdom of using a table. Once they got there, she strategically placed herself on the other side of June, with Satori closest to the smaller woman. As confusing as all this was, she wanted to make sure that the pair were closer together and didn’t want to seem like she was intruding, as per the norm of her nature in these kinds of situations where she wasn’t sure where she stood. She already felt like she was intruding, oddly.
But what was particularly odd was that June seemed to be accepting of it so easily, and was already teaching and preparing Eve for a life that she knew absolutely nothing about. She wasn’t going to complain about the positive attention in any way, but perhaps it was because she was with Satori and knew about the complications that would come from it, she was more adequately prepared for what was coming when the idea was introduced. Maybe the feelings were mutual? She wasn’t so sure about that one either based on her initial reactions, but it was truly hard to say. For now, she simply scooted close enough that she could reach both of their plates and eyed the food she had ready. “There’s so much… I’m not sure where to start…” she said quietly, but loud enough to hear, sounding truly lost at the choices she had.
Eve's joke left the shorter woman without a response. She blinked a few times but wasn't certain about reciprocating. Fortunately, Bengal's arrival caused a shift in conversation from the issue of flirting to finding a place to eat. Once they were all seated, June found herself between the taller two members of their little group. Her diminutive size compared to Eve and Bengal was such that from certain angles, it wasn't obvious that there was someone sitting between the two taller ones.
The spread of food in front of the trio was enough to fill them up, or it would have been if two of the members of the trio didn't have unusually large appetites.
The purple-haired woman's words gave June an idea. She plucked a deviled egg from one of the plates in front of her and held it up to Eve's mouth, offering to feed her the morsel.
The gesture was one she'd done with Bengal before, though not in a setting as auspicious as this. He'd responded very well to being fed, even nibbling at her fingers gently the last time June had done such a thing. The memory brought a slight flush to the Silva's face.
"Try this," the shorter woman said.
Briefly, she glanced at Bengal to get a gauge on his reaction to her attempts to flirt with Eve. The noblewoman's gaze settled on the taller woman's face once more. Unlike her unintentionally flirty actions before, this was more awkward. June looked a bit unsure of herself.
Subtlety wasn't a strength of June's. Unlike before, her attempts to feel out this new dynamic were very obvious. She had managed to learn to be more confident and, on occasion, coy with Bengal. Eve was an unknown entity in terms of romance.
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia watched as Tora tilted her head in response to the question but didn't answer it which wasn't really a big deal in the vice captains eyes. After all it was only a type of magic and everyone in the world was born with magic some was just more rare than others like Lydia's own light magic. As the white haired women spoke Lydia would nod her head in agreement. I suppose it would be the other way around for someone like me. Don't get me wrong there have been missions where I had to stay in a forest or something over night and I'm use to being in the wilds often because of my line of work. At the end of the day I guess it all just has to do with the fact we we're raised in two different environments. Lydia would then give the other women another soft smile. The vice captain was surprised that Tora didn't know about the deamons or perhaps she just didn't know that's what the kingdom was calling them? Deamons are the things that attacked Kikka, Raque and our own royal capital. [break][break] The magic knights break them into three groups the weakest ones being mana beast that were corrupted by magic from the other two types of deamons. The second and middle class deamons are called lesser Deamons and they are usually like a lieutenant for the final class of deamons. That brings us to the last type which are called Archdeamons and as far as we know there are seven of them or well there was the magic knights and a few of the stronger clover citizens helped us kill three of the archdeamons. I've personally fought and killed all three types. The weakest very anywhere from junior to grand in terms of how we rank peoples magic skill. The lesser deamons are normally as stronger as a vice captain if not a little stronger I ran into run during a dungeon with the former green mantis vice captain and the two of us managed to take it out. Lastly the lesser deamons we've ran into have been as strong if not stronger than a captain. I fought one and killed on during Kikka with the help of the new golden dawn captain. The deamon however did managed to destroy the blue roses base before I could kill her. Lydia would take a moment to pause realizing she might have overloaded Tora with information on the deamons. Sorry about that it seems I went on for a little to long but I do hope I managed to answer the question with that long break down of deamons. [break][break] Lydia would notice a dip in Tora's enthusiasm as Lydia told her the correct way to address a noble and the vice captain could understand why. She would then let out a small sigh. I apologize it's rude of me to keep correcting you like that you can call me whatever you wish. After all you're here to have fun not get told how to speak to noble as a noble would speak to another one. Lydia wasn't offended by the other women rejecting her offer to stay at the Ravencrest estate for the night. I understand. Her offer to dance however was accepted so Lydia would then lead the taller women to an open spot on the dance floor. Don't worry it's not that hard to learn anyway it just looks like it is. Lydia would then guide Tora's hand right hand onto her upper back while Lydia would place her own left hand on the other women's shoulder. The vice captain would then take a hold of the other women's left hand with her own holding it out to there left. We'll start with out feet together. I'll take the lead you just copy what I do. Don't worry about focusing on the music but yet. We can do that once you have the steps down. The vice captain would then start to lead them in the box step her own eyes focused on Tora. If you don't mind me asking could you tell me a bit about yourself?
