The taller woman nodded along. She was a little surprised honestly, having a bit more manual work to do sounded much better than having your life basically steered by your parents and family all your life, but she kept that particular thought to herself for the time being and paid rapt attention to the explanation of the Daemons. She was.....perplexed to say the least at the description of Mana beasts as Low level Daemons. Wait, weren't Mana beasts just profusely infused creatures via magic that resulted in fantastical organisms? She did her best to take in all of the information, frankly a little.....perplexed. Didn't mana beasts show up all the time in dungeons? Did that mean that the Daemons were responsible somehow in the formation of dungeons? It was all a little dizzying, and so she chuckled just a bit as Lydia apologized after the fact. "Ah don't worry about that. It's interestin information." She assured the woman. " And as fer the bit about manners it's fine. Yer lookin out for me, makes sense with the kinda likes of some of the nobles I've noticed around. It's sweet." She assured the woman gently.
Of course, once they were on the dance floor, Tora paid rapt attention, her gaze shifting not only to Lydia and her hands, but also the other dancers that were situated around the dance floor. And, she was surprised to see, that Lydia seemed to intentionally or not: have put her into the leading position between the two of them, and she couldn't help but smile just a bit. "I know I'm wearin a suit, but here ye put me in the man's position. Hopefully I don't look THAT unladylike." She chuckled, a bit amused at her observation as she picked up the motions quickly enough, the two of them soon square-stepping easily enough along with the other dancers.
Of course the inquiry as to herself, Tora's brows raised just a little, and that roguish smile widened just a crack. "Meself? Oho, I'm afraid there's nothin all too interestin tae say about little ol me. Nothin fancy, jus Tora the wanderer. No daemons to have been slain, that's for true......" Her voice trailed off a little and she relaxed just a bit. She cleare dher throat a bit and focused, slowing down a bit as she did have to concentrate, but she managed to suppress her accent. "But of course, I imagine that even a noble Knight of considerable reputation would probably pale to the likes of you, Lydia." She noted, glancing down with a sly mirthfulness that accented that soft, gentle tone of voice quite well. An almost reverent stare at the lovely thing dancing with her. "I was raised in a small home not even in any village. I lived with my parents and my little brother for....a long time. And my Father decided I should see more of the world. I suppose he was afraid of me spending my life in that little home." She noted quietly and looked up to the grand ceiling. So many lights....
She glanced back down to Lydia and she gave a soft, admiring smile to the woman. "And would ya look at that? I found myself here, in the royal palace, with The Lydia Ravencrest in arm, shining in all her fierce glory on the dance floor with me." She observed, their dance slowing a little as the music shifted to a softer and gentler tune. "The fact of it is, Lady Ravencrest, I don't think I'd fit well at all in that fancy estate of yours. All the more, I don't think, for all the lovely decor and the....exceptional company..." She winked at the woman at that. "I don't think I could stand half my life bein lived by rules and obligations. Makes me wonder what I woulda turned out like if'n I'd grown up in a place like this." She chuckled, before shaking her head and sighing. "Ahhhhh, listen to me gab. Talk about a mood killer, sorry about that Lydia." She digressed, chuckling just a bit as she readjusted her grip on the woman's...hip? Lower back? She glanced at some of the other dancers, and spotted a fellow with his hand square on a noblewoman's ass.
She decided not to follow the example. "So, how am I din with this dancin so far eh?~ I think we're going pretty good I'm thinkin."

Watching these two try to flirt had to be the funniest thing he'd seen in a long time. The intricacies had always been amusing to him though. In Ryuutei culture if you desired a mate, you usually came forward and just told the individual. They then temporarily accepted you into a 'trial period', or refused you from the start. If the trial went well, you were wed. That simple. Flirting certainly happened but it wasn't this awkward feel-out that he'd seen in Clover time and time again.
You already knew they were interested, or not. It made it far easier.
In this case, Eve was half-oblivious, and June didn't know how to respond when she was teased very well either. She was used to his forward personality. Bemused, he said nothing when it came to Eve's comment on being ravenous, and had to resist laughing when June nearly missed it as well. At some point he'd have to interject here or they were going to fumble completely. So, as he sat down and watched June offering the egg to Eve with a flushed face, Bengal glanced toward Eve and smirked.
"She's giving you a bite, Eve. It's a... favorite of hers." He stated idly, emphasizing the words with a smug expression, his own long fangs flashing briefly. Meanwhile, he lifted up his own. Looked like a meat tart. Cute. Reminded him of Lilliana's that she made for him. Taking a bite, he watched with an amused expression. Resting his other arm idly across the back of June's chair. Hopefully, his emphasis on the word and eye contact would make Eve pause and think about the action instead of mindlessly accepting the bite. Something he was almost certain she would do normally. He decided to add a bit more for emphasis.

[attr="class","florencetext"] The vice captained nodded her head in understandment as Tora told her that her manners were fine. Lydia however did make a mental note to still not try and correct her dance partner even if it was because Lydia was looking out for the other women. Lydia of course knew that she had put Tora in the position of the man with there dance however if seemed that perhaps the silver haired women thought it was because she was wearing a suit. Lydia would quickly shake her head. No its nothing like that the reason is simply because you're tall than me by a decent amount so I figured it would make more sense to give you the lead. However with this dance we can easily switch so that I'm taking the lead if you'd like. Tora had told Lydia she was quick learner how the glass mage didn't think she'd pick up the steps so quick and before the vice captain knew it they were inscync with everyone else dancing. The Ravencrest would listen as Tora spoke about how there was nothing interesting about her when compared to Lydia while laying on a decent amount of flattery. Oh my who's the charmer now~? Also you don't have to have a crazy combat history like I do just to be interesting. As for the comment about other nights with considerable reputation not holding a candle to me i guess that's true to a certain extent which is a pain sometimes. I'd like to be able to go out every once and a while without everyone staring and talking about the things I've done all the time. Lydia would keep eye contact with Tora while giving the other women a warm smile. Oh you have a younger brother as well? I have two brothers one is my twin but I was born before him then I have an adopted younger brother who I raised myself. You've actually already saw the younger one he was the silver haired kid you saw talking to me earlier. Do you get time to visit your family often still? As the taller women kept complementing Lydia the vice captain could feel her face turning a little red. After all it had been a while since someone talked to her like this. The glass mage could understand where the younger mage was going with the whole talk of not being able to stand half her life being lived by rules and obligations. Yeah I can understand what you mean by that i was lucky enough not to share that in common with other nobles. Sure I learned prosper noble ways of doing things. However my parents never forced me to do anything I didn't want to expect training with my father when they found out I wanted to join the magic knights but that was years ago. Sadly the training did strain my relationship with him./ As Tora looked around the room Lydia's own gaze would follow and spot the noble man. Luckily Tora didn't try the same thing which was good for the both of them. The vice captain would then let out a small laugh. It seems there is only one of them at these kind of dances while I can't allow you do to that here anyway I can let you do this. Lydia would then move Tora hands onto her lower hips which wasn't common with this kind of dance but it wasn't unheard of nor was it an uncommon place for the male partner to put his hands at times. I'd say we are doing pretty good as well after all we haven't made a fool out of ourselves yet nor have we stepped on each other's toes. We can add some half turns every fourth beat if that's something you'd like. It doesn't matter to me all that much as I'm fine with this just this after all I'm dancing with a beauty either way.

Tora smiled just a little at the woman's assertion about why she had been put in the lead position. And of course, seeing how well her bit of charm had gone over was all too pleasing as well. "Well, it'd be a shame not to be a little charming." She chuckled, winking in the woman's direction before her eyes drifted off to the side on the subject of family. "Twin huh? Your brother must be exceptionally pretty then." She surmised, before her attention shifted to the young man that Lydia had pointed out. Ah yes... the young man who looked like he was conducting some sort of ceremony. Well....she supposed this WAS a ceremony of sorts, but all the same, the young man definitely seemed like he had a lot on his shoulders. Even moreso than his sister, interestingly enough. "An adopted brother hm? Well the young man certainly seems to be taking things seriously. Hopefully he remembers to have a lil fun." She chuckled, her attention shifting back to Lydia just in time to see the woman start to turn a little pink from all the compliments. Something which caused Tora to grin just a little.
Though as the subject shifted past the woman's obligations and what she had to go through as a child, she was a little surprised when Lydia followed where she was looking. "Not here hmm?" she raised a brow at that specific portion of the woman's sentence. Implying that the woman would be more amicable to the action elsewhere. But she wasn't going to harp on that too much. Instead she raised her brows just a bit higher as she felt her hand being adjusted to the woman's lower hip instead. "Not really that kinda girl, I really only go touchin a behind on request, the waist was fine. Though I'm certainly not gonna question a gift like this." She chuckled, glancing around the room. They did seem pretty in synch at the moment, and as soon as Lydia suggested the little half-turns, Tora promptly led the woman right into one, watching some of the other dancers and applying their technique in the little swoosh between beats, that grin of hers widening just a bit. "Gotta say, not my kind of dancin, but this is still a little fun, I admit." She noted, tilting her head. "So about your brother. young man seems pretty starched. He still gettin used to events like this?" She ventured with a glance around them at the ball as a whole.
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia couldn't help but grin a little at the other women's comment. I'd say you're more than just a little charming which I enjoy very much. There has been more than a few times someone who had no charming skills that tried to be charming but it turn more into then using there family name. Lydia very much didn't care what family one came from as if didn't win any points in her eyes even more so if they were just riding off there family name to get by which was something she found distasteful. Ah yes my twin brother is very much popular among the ladies. Lydia would let out a small sigh at the comment about Hania. He tends to take a lot of things seriously its a habit he picked up from me. [break][break] He knows balls are supposed to be fun but he's being more serious so he can deal with any of our family members that acts out so I can relax myself. I worry he puts to much on himself for my sake at times. Don't get me wrong I appreciate it but I don't know I use wish he'd relax more you know? Lydia's gaze would shift to Hania for a moment she truly did hope he could have some fun at the ball tonight. Lydia would then take her eyes back to Tora's as the other women spoke. That's correct not here perhaps if it was somewhere. I however do agree that permission is very important so I'm glad you'd wait for me to ask you to move your hands someone or at least asking permission to put your hands someone. After all it would be a shame if I had to throw you over my shoulder or something. [break][break] I tend to lose my temper at things like that. The vice would give the other women a bright smile making it clear she was by no means threatening Tora. I can understand how this might not be everyone's kind of dancing as it's slow paced but I find it relaxing. My brother has been to quite a few balls as for recent now that he's the heir of the family however he'd rather be at home reading a book. So Tora what do you like to do for fun?

Tora raised a brow as she listened to the other woman. The notion of someone throwing their name and their nobility around........ well ok it actually sounded like it would be a pretty common thing in Clover. After all with all the emphesis on titles and all that hoo hah, it probably worked more often than not. If some Nobles INSISTED on their titles, then that meant that those very titles and names probably held a lot of weight for them, so she could see how some young noble with a fancy surname and a title to go with it might wield it like a chick magnet. Though of course, as the subject shifted to Hania she looked back in the young man's direction.
Aaaaaah, well that was rather sweet now wasn't it? The notion of the young man putting os much on his shoulders so that his sister could have a bit of peace and quiet put a smile on her face. Hmm, it seemed Lydia's family wasn't so bad.... at least this little slice of it at the very least. Though she DID remember that man seeming to react pointedly at that one guy who waltzed in like he owned the place. Was he also related? She glanced in the direction of Cooper, considering the possibility before glancing back down to Lydia. "Sounds like a bit o a mess. Though it's still rather sweet o him tae be lookin after his sister like that. Not a bad pick fer an adopted brother." She noted, smiling approvingly as she continued the dance and slowly started to get just a tiny bit fancy, smoothing out her strides, adding just a bit more twist to those turns, though she restrained herself from doing lifts or anything that might jostle the other woman too much.
Of course, Tora was a little surprised at Lydia's blatant admission, her brows raising just a bit before she chuckled. "Well I'll keep that in mind if we meet elsewhere~ She chimed, a little intrigued at the idea of just how much strength was in those pretty arms. Probably a lot given her rank. Would Tora also command such strength one day? Who knew. "As for what I enjoy doing. Hmmm, exploring I suppose. Seein the sights, explorin the odd dungeon here an there. Seein what Clover has to offer. Though the place is a little more monster riddled than I quite expected." She admitted, shrugging her shoulders. Her mind briefly touching on that sunflower monster she'd seen before. Hm. She let her attention shift back to Lydia. "What about you? What does a woman such as yourself do for fun? Aside from dancin with commoners such as meself~?" She asked with a bit of a playful smirk.
The waiter was at a loss for words after hearing that rather...odd question from his perspective. "U-uh....pardon?" Was all that he could think of to say at this moment, but Fuu didn't answer him. Instead, she just continued to smile...and took a step forward towards him, making the man take a nervous step back as a response. At this moment, the dwarf looked so innocent and sweet...but that only made the waiter more uncomfortable...and fearful for his life. Fuu took another step, but before she could do anything, a third, masculine voice chimed in on this, wondering what was happening.
With her polite facade faltering a bit, Fuu turned her attention to the source of this voice. A man in a suit with a hat. The dwarf rose an eyebrow at the man, not appearing too impressed with him. The waiter on the other hand....
"O-oh, nothing to worry yourself with, mister Ravencrest! I was just telling this young lady here that she's a little too young to be drinking this. W-Would you like one instead?" The waiter claimed and offered, having heard the man's little introduction earlier. "Ravencrest....?" the girl said under her breath as she looked at the waiter then back to the other guy. "Geez, I keep forgetting there's more of you....Guess that makes ya number four then..." The girl crossed her arms, referring to her....previous encounters. Fuu was very much not amused by this. At this point there was only one Ravencrest Fuu respected...but even then the dwarf wasn't exactly...comfortable being around her due to previous events...
As the waiter attempted to gesture the tray of wine to this Ravencrest, Fuu stepped right in front of him with arms still crossed. The waiter stopped and looked down at the stubborn teen again before shaking his head. "As I said before miss, these drinks are a little too strong for y-GAH!" Unfortunately, the waiter could not finish his sentence after coming down with a sudden case of...knee to the groin.
The waiter immediately hunched over and dropped his dish, glasses of wine now falling to the ground and shattering...all except for one, which the girl was able to grab onto just in time. "Thanks for the wine, jackass." the dwarf scuffed before glancing back at the Ravencrest, assuming that he's still there. She then focused on the wine and with a smirk decided to take a drink...but the earth mage forgot one little thing...
She is absolutely horrible at holding her liquor.
The moment Fuu tried to drink it down...the girl's eyes widened and suddenly she spat the wine out...some of it getting onto the Ravencrest's shoes and pants if he were close enough. "Ack...the hell!?" The girl groaned as she wiped her mouth with her sleeve. "That really was strong..."

[attr="class","florencetext"] The vice captain would notice that Tora's gazed switched over to her cousin who had caused quite the scene if Lydia had to guess the other women was wondering if the glass mage was related to Cooper. Of course Lydia didn't know if this was true or not as she couldn't read minds. Yes I'm related to him. That man is Cooper Ravencrest one of my many cousins sadly he also seems to be one of the trouble makers. Perhaps I'll say something to him later tonight. [break][break] I guess I did make a good choice in adopting him. Gods to think its already been twelve years since I brought him into the family. How time flies sometimes. seemed the silver haired mage didn't expect Lydia to be so blunt with those types of things. Which was fair after all most nobles didn't tend to be as blunt as Lydia was that being said the vice captain did know how to beat around the bush. Oh did I catch you off guard with how straightforward that answer was lovely? If we meet elsewhere you make it sound as if we'll never meet again even though you could always visit the crimson lions base here in the capital if you wanted to see me again~ The vice captain wasn't surprised that the mountain of a women dancing with liked to explore. [break][break] It seems like we do have a lot of mana a beast in clover. As for wait I like to do for fun hm. I guess it depends on how much time I have. If it's not a lot I tend to enjoy going going a on a few miles run or practicing learning another languages. If I have a lot of free time in the day I like to drink a glass of wine or two while reading a book. However most people tend to find the books I read boring as they deal with battle strategies and tactics. Sounds pretty boring right? Lydia would then move herself a little closer to the silver haired mage which hopefully she didn't mind.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Ardere arrived to the ball at the same time as Lydia of course, but he was taken by how peaceful it seemed in comparison to the previous one. It felt like it had not been so long since they last danced in these wondrous halls, this time filled with even brighter lights and brighter smiles. The darkness in his arm had faded, only the flame inside remaining. Salamander burned ferociously in his heart, but the dragon did not make an appearance this ball for it was far too cold for his tastes. The Crimson King however took this opportunity to dress heavily. [break][break] Donning a crimson red suit with an even darker red shirt and tie underneath, the fur cape draped across his shoulders was remise of the one Lysander used to adorn. A gargantuan red cape with the Crimson Lion crest embroidered into the back, exotic fur across the top and the bottom which reached nearly to the floor. Ardere was one to always dress highly for the occasion--he did not take his fashion sense lightly. The scar across his left eye was the only one visible today. It was the most important after all. As he walked the halls with Lydia, the titanic man nodded. I'm going to grab a drink. Don't worry, I won't outshine you with my superior dance skills later on. Chuckling to himself and giving a wink, the man sauntered over to the bar. Hi outfit was an attention stealer for sure, but his status as Captain and Lord was enough to make other stare when he entered the room. Not to mention his heroics in the Capital just months ago. Yet here he did not feel like a hero. Tonight he was a man enjoying his glass of whiskey on the rocks. Letting a deep exhale escape his pale lips as his amber eyes gazed out the window, he noticed how beautiful the night was. Stars lighting up the sky unlike any other night before, this true was the Yule Festival. As a child it was always his favorite. He remembered how much Lysander hated the cold. He also recalled standing at this bar while his former Captain was plastered. Ardere carried him home that night, the three hundred pound man draped across his shoulders. Those were good nights. It was times like this he missed his old Captain, and times like this he missed his Father. But these were not sad memories. He was glad his heart carried them. They kept his family alive after all this time. [break][break] Walking around he noticed mages he recognized and those he did not, but primarily he sipped his whiskey and observed. Giving Samson and Jagen a nod, Ardere stood strong in the halls. He was a symbol of power and position here, but truly he did not care about his position right now. All he cared about was protecting the people in this room. Moments like this made him realize how much he'd give for these mages. He'd risked his life more than once, but battles were coming that he needed to give it his all. So tonight he chose to enjoy himself. This was the last peaceful night for him, the Sword of Clover. [break][break] Walking over to where Lydia was, he noticed she had been enthralled in conversation for quite some time. The large brown and red haired man even noticed Bengal here. The two had quite an interesting conversation last time they talked, but it was good to see him here. Hope I'm not interrupting. Just wanted to see how my date was faring. He said in his intimidating voice as he slowly walked over to Lydia and the others. Just his presence alone was powerful, but he did not incite fear. That was never his aim. All he ever wanted was respect and fairness, between Nobles and Commoners alike. That's where the Lions stood.
Glancing back to the woman and keying back in to their conversation as Lydia went on speaking, Tora couldn't help but smile fondly as she heard that admission of relation. "I wasn't going to say anything, was just curious is all~ You sure seem to have an interesting family after all." She pointed out, chuckling heartily for a moment before her brows raised in response to that..... assertion. That smile came right back, their dancing slowing down just a little as she focused a bit more on their conversation over keeping up with the other dancers on the floor.
"I suppose I just figured you'd be a pretty busy woman. What with the state of things. And well.... I admit that I was a little surprised at you more or less inviting me to touch your butt sometime." She pointed out, her eyes briefly shifting to the side as her senses picked up on someone making their way over. Ard would arrive JUST in time to hear that last bit. Though Tora would have no idea if he actually did. All the same, she ....allowed the conversation to continue, hopefully it wouldn't come back up, keeping a mental eye in that direction.....yep he was still coming. Did they know each other? "I don't know if I would call that boring. I can only imagine how must history is in those sorts of books along with the lessons. I think it would be pretty neat to read sometime. I can think of plenty other ways to spend your time that are worse." She concluded before turning as the man she'd noticed making his way over finally arrived.
She smiled and gave a friendly nod in his direction, relaxing her grip a bit on Lydia's hips in the event that the woman wanted to peel so that the both of them could face the new introduction to their conversation properly. "Well I certainly hope I'm keeping her entertained, My brother always did say I could be a bit of a bore." She chuckled good naturedly. "You must be ...." She ventured, noting his clothing? And well, if the vice Captain had a date, she felt it was either he might be a captain or other vice captain or he was a relative, but he didn't seem to look very much like Lydia for that. So it was a shot in the dark. ... was that rude? Well, she didn't worry too much about it. However....
A ... lot of things seemed to happen off in the distance. The sound of glasses shattering caught Tora's attention, and she turned to see a man holding his groin with a whole tray of broken glasses on the floor, her head tilting just a little as she glanced back at Lydia and chuckled. "I suppose that even Nobles get a little rowdy sometimes." she noted a bit mirthfully, a bit more to herself than to anyone else in particular as she noticed a particular uptick in the party as a whole. "In any case uhhh, me name's Tora! Tora Gui." She noted, introducing herself to the slightly shorter individual. Well....actually with her heels, Tora was a full four inches taller than him. Everyone was so short in this kingdom, it definitely put things into perspective... she used to think the people in the nearest village were just really short back then...
[attr="class","florencetext"] The glass mage would nod her head in agreement. Intreresting is the nice way to put it. They might cuase me uneeded stress at time but at the end of the day they are my family and I love all of them. At the mention of how Tora figured Lydia would be busy cuasing the vice captain to think about just how busy she had been in the past few months. She would then let out a sad sigh. The truth is I have been really these past few months and haven't been able to fit anything other than running into my time and the one only works out because it's part of my daily training. Though I suppose that's part of the job as a captain and vice captain. Lydia was going to answer about the butt part however it seemed her captain picked that of all times to meet back up with Lydia and her response was better left for a one on one conversation. [break][break] Is that so? Most people find it boring but they don't realize just how much knowing about the past can help with the here and no after all knowledge is power. The Ravencrest was enjoying her time dancing with Tora however as her captain spoke up it was clear the time for dancing was over but atlas all good things must end sometime. The vice captain would then turn to face her captain. Oh yes I was quite enjoying talking to Tora but captain it's rude not to give your name when butting into a conversation. Tora this is my captain Ardere Kasai and as he stated my date to the this ball. So captain how was the whiskey? After Ard answered Lydia's gaze would shift to the sound of shattering glass by Copper but it wasn't caused by him thankfully. Leave it to Fuu Wilhelm to start breaking things as soon as she gets here. Lydia however wouldn't move to stop whatever the green mantis mage was doing instead she was going to wait and see if it got worse in which case she or Ard would more than likely step in.

[attr="class","julienglassscroll"] In short, he didn’t much care for the heirs, heiresses, and the other clueless ones who all thought they had some place in this ball. Julien knew his well enough. There was no reason to think it could be anything but the job of breathing air and filling space. [break][break] Enthusiasm was not a word he would ever use to describe his trivial emotions about the matter, regardless, he was here. The fact was just that, fact. [break][break]
So when the Ravencrest made some poignant decision that out of all the societal and social rules he was bound by, being accompanied and accompanying another was the one that fit Julien at the time, it only made the most sense. However unabashed his shallowness and superficial tone seemed to be, that was just how Michail Ravencrest was. [break][break] "Though that's assuming you can relax, to begin with." [break][break] Julien lifted his head only slightly, as a servant did come walking by, he took a glass of wine in his hand with swift silence. [break][break] He ignored the latter comment for the moment. [break][break] “I’m not a peasant, Master Ravencrest. Reinsberg is still my name, as little as it means to you,” He raised his glass to his lips, drinking the bittersweet red wine. It went down smooth, but he only took a small sip. To some extent, the Ravencrest was correct, though paradoxically, all Julien was attempting to do was keep attention off of himself. Staying silent and doing nothing of note would make the night go by without anything to regret about the next day afterward. [break][break] He didn’t have intentions of either making a name for himself, or a fool. [break][break] Unlike the flashy attention that Michail’s fellow noble clan all seemed to be gathering upon themselves, such as the vice-captain of the Lions, for instance, dancing with a garish woman a giant taller than her. Or perhaps, his other Peacock related cousin.

Oh dear. These were the two words that appeared in Cooper's head at first the next two were directed at the now prone waiter on the floor. "Dont worry." Cooper lifted the waiter up sitting him down on a nearby chair he looks to another server passing by. "You there get this cleaned up, please." the server nodded and hurriedly got to work sweeping up the now shattered dishes and glasses. Cooper once making sure the assaulted waiter was alright let out a sigh of relief. Cooper was left with quiet the problem, on one hand he could let this fly over and not cause a scene all I'm sure his cousins don't need anymore of a reason to have a chat with him on the other hand the young lady did just do a show a display force to a commoner no less yes they were not as refined as a noble put they were people never the less and did deserve certain base level of respect. Conflicted he decided to air on the side of caution and not cause too much trouble for his cousins and try to handle the situation diplomatically. Cooper takes off his hat and places down on the table the waiter is sitting at. "Take a quick break and get back to work when your feeling a bit more stable." he said kindly. Cooper takes a breath and navigates the crowd over to Fuu. Seeing her reaction to the wine he was able to puzzle together what events could of lead to such an out burst. "Now forgive my intrusion young lady but the good waiter back there was simply looking out for you." he puts on a straight face wiping off his normal confident grin. "Is there perhaps a reason you are so disgruntled." He observes her reaction trying to find a opening to maybe make some common ground or at least defuse the tense air that Cooper was feeling. It was this kind of putting his nose into where it probably doesn't belong that added to his reputation as a bit of a trouble maker even if he doesn't mean it. WC:359 TC:1203

Bewilderment was an apt expression to describe the look on Michail's face. Though Julien spoke only matter-of-factly, and wasn't technically wrong, the sass in the last bit of his comment caught the blonde off guard. Yet, he was not mad. Even dogs could occasionally bark at their masters when upset. There was no reason to scold him, and at the end of the day, Julien spoke the truth.
Taking a deep sigh, Michail simply poured himself a glass of water. He was, for all intents and purposes, a massive lightweight when it came to alcohol, and while he wasn't lightweight enough to get drunk from one cup of mere wine, he was one who very much allowed himself to consume all things he enjoyed. If he liked it, he'd want more of it. And that would lead into revelations about himself he'd much prefer not known to the world at large.
"I suppose you are not a peasant," Michail whimsically admitted. "You are right about that."
Staring at his own reflection in the cup with the water, Michail spared an eye to glance over to Julien. "So then. What does that name mean to you?"
"I suppose you are not a peasant," [break][break] It was a statement, whether it was of agreement or of shallow admittance Julien cared little. As he looked down at the dark reflection of his face in the blood-colored wine, his ears caught the words of the apparently bemused Ravencrest. [break][break] Matters little to you. [break][break] It mattered little to anyone really, whether he was a Reinsberg. But from a Ravencrest, the disparity between the pure weight of the names somehow, beholden, almost was lost to the younger Eagle. Yes that was it. A youth born into wealth and significance would never know what it was like not to have it. There was no spite to the conclusion, it simply was how it was supposed to be. [break][break] Because even among the nobles, there was hierarchy. There were the top and the bottom, and the scheming machinations of those who wished to close the gap. And yet but of course, those who did were notable enough that it made fanciful stories for people to believe in. But the reality was, so few succeeded in their follies for favor, such as those who held the name Reinsberg. [break][break] "So then. What does that name mean to you?" [break][break] Julien did not lift his head, there was only a slight tilt of acknowledgment. [break][break] “It means little, as it should.” The Reinsberg answered. “Forgive my abruptness, Master Ravencrest, but you were born with a name that carries weight and it has never once lost its prestige.” [break][break] “You will not, nor need not, come to understand those who have fallen below you.”
