[attr="class","florencetext"] It was just another day in the bust life of Lydia. It had actually managed to get even more busy with the fact that the glass mage was ruling a kingdom of her own on top of being the vice captain of a magic knight squad as well. It was more stress than was probably normal but luckily the captain actually started to do some of his own paperwork and the pink haired mage also had Victoria to run the kingdom while Lydia was away with magic knight duties. Today was one of those days that Lydia was out of her kingdom on magic knight related work. It wasn't some major threat or anything that one might think that a mage of her rank would get sent on. In fact it was just making sure some junior magic knights made it through a dungeon that had just recently showed up. She had also been told that a junior ranked citizen who showed interest in joining the black bulls wanted to explore the dungeon which didn't bother Lydia as it would give the other women some more experience in part of what magic knights do. Speaking of experience Lydia told Pierce he would be joining her for this little dungeon mission. After all he couldn't get by acting like a pirate forever even more so now that it could cause problems with the Carrion kingdom.
[break][break]
Hopefully this would be the first step in solving that problem and help the younger Ravencrest get stronger and get some more useful set of skills but Lydia wasn't going to hold her breath. The vice captain would grab her great sword before heading out to the border of clover and the fringe to wait for the others as thanks to being one of the fastest mages in clover and possibly the word she was the first to arrive hopefully the others wouldn't keep her waiting to long. Once all the others showed up Lydia would look over the group the two magic knights belonging to the black bulls and purple orca. After a moment Lydia would speak up. Okay so as I'm sure all of you know we are set to explore a dungeon in the fringe. From what we know the dungeon itself isn't to dangerous however there's also been talks over rouges trying to claim the treasures inside the dungeon. That's where I come into play I'm here to not only keep you guys from dying to the mana beast but also deal with any rogues that might be waiting for magic knights and helpless citizens to enter.
[break][break]
As long as you guys stick close to me and listen when I tell you something you shouldn't get hurt to bad. On the off chance that one of you actually ends up getting seriously hurt or even manage to lose a limb I have healing magic that will make you feel good as new but, lets try to avoid that as I don't want that kind of paperwork on my hands. Go ahead and let each other know what type of magic you use and once everyone's good to go we can head out. The vice captain would give the others a few minutes to talk and ask any questions they might have before they set out to the dungeon. However not long after they started off a sandstorm would over take the group forcing them to close there eyes to avoid the sand. Everyone group up and grab onto each other if need! You don't want to get lost out here! The storm would soon pass after about thirty minutes of walking allowing them to open there eyes and as fate would have it the group of mages seemed to arrive at the entrance of the dungeon.

[attr="class","piercetext"] [break][break] Pierce gave a sigh as he gripped his coat tightly as he threw it over his shoulder letting his puffy white shirt show itself for the first time in a while as he stared down at an 'invitation' from Lydia Ravencrest. He gave a scoff at the reminder the butler sent as he already had a meeting about the sudden appearance of the dungeon. "Does she think I'm a fool?" Pierce mumbled to himself thinking why the Ravencrest would request HIS presence at such a terrible place. None the less Pierce didn't have a choice in the matter since Lydia had the dirty deeds he'd committed hung over his head like a constant reminder to heed her commands. The young pirate didn't like it, however following his families orders wasn't something he was unaccustomed to. "Lets see. If she saw me wearing the normal outfit she'd probably take my head off" Pierce muttered throwing his red coat to the side as he reached for his much more formal black coat. "That's much more like it" Pierce muttered throwing the coat over his shoulder as it quickly knocked open the closet more hitting a stand and making it spill a mug of ale from the top shelf all over Pierce's current outfit. soiling his clean coat and under shirt. [break][break] "DAMN IT!" The pirate growled throwing the mug to the side and picking up his red coat without a drop of ale on it. "If I go like this..." Pierce mutter thinking in the back of his head the amount of beatings and scolding that Lydia might put him through for tarnishing the Ravencrests reputation. "Damn. Guess I'll be wearing red this evening" Pierce said throwing his shirt and coat off his body quickly moving to button up the coat as best as possible. He didn't want to be cold if the place Lydia sent him happened to be a frozen waste land. After going over the contents of his note he set off to the place of interest otherwise known as the Fringe. [break][break] After a bit of traveling via wagon Pierce would come across the meeting place a little later than the others since they seemed to be a bit quicker to action than the Pirate for obvious reasons. After moving out from the wagon the man who was bringing him bid him a farewell as he left with the clacking of wooden wheels as he disappeared in the distance as Pierce turned his attention towards the Ravencrest leading them. None other than Lydia. 'Figures she'd be leading the team. Is she here to spy on me?' Pierce questioned giving a hum as he waited patiently for Lydia to begin speaking not really revealing his identity, however his attire made him easily stick out from the group with a very vibrant hat and coat donning his body. Pierce would take the moment to take a look at the other party member however quickly turned his attention back to Lydia as to at least get an idea what they'd be dealing with here. [break][break] As Lydia spoke Pierce gathered all the information he could from what the famous Ravencrest said. 'Treasures? Guess Lydia had other intentions for coming here' Pierce thought curiously gazing at Lydia as she finished the first portion of her speech the weather around them began to change sand beginning to kick off the ground. "Where the hell was this in the briefing Lydia!" Pierce cried as sand kicked up into his eyes blinding the pirate as he frantically began to cover his face. as time began to pass the storm not quelling. 'It's worst than a sea storm' Pierce thought as the sand began to slow down enough for Pierce to render his surrounding. [break][break] As the coral mage peeked around he noticed the party of was in a completely different location now. as he began to notice a massive stone tower, however something else caught his eye as he saw the structure had long since been reclaimed by the earth as weeds and vines seemed to drape over the stone structure in such a way that it seemed to help the structure stand at this point. "That's... Honestly incredible" Pierce admitted to the group as his hand fell to the hilt of his sword. 'I'm out of my league here...' Pierce thought to himself glancing at Lydia who had tackled many of dungeons in the time she'd been a magic knight. "So Lydia. What's our next move from here?" Pierce questioned admitting to himself in secret it was more than fortunate that the other Ravencrest was here at least it would serve to keep the tension down since the girl was rising star. Never the less the pirate gripped his sword even tighter in anticipation of what might soon befall the group. 'This is my first dungeon. Guess I'm not as confident as I thought I'd be' the pirate thought having lived only a life at sea and never seeing the truly mysterious sights a dungeon held. [break][break]

How did she wind up getting signed up for this crazy gathering of powerhouses and ragamuffin Guttersnipes? She wanted to join the black bulls, and she wanted to get some better items in her inventory for when she eventually went up against the thieves' guild. But to be greeted with words that she might be seriously injured? Cecile took a moment to look down at the ground, shuffling her feet in the dirt as she mulled over the conflicted thoughts running through her mind. What side of the coin would the grandiose chuunbiyou land on? Self-deprecation or bombastic exuberance?
I could just walk away from this, but I need to get experience. I need to grow. I can't really fight on my own, maybe I can find a weapon here? I can't just walk away, especially when the Chiefs are looking toward me for results. But there's those two I met the other day with the weird magics and weirder ways of speaking to each other. They seem like they can fight for themselves on their own. I have... She trailed off her own rails for thoughts and looked up to Lydia and the group, proudly announcing herself before they departed.
"Worry not! The paragon of healing is here for you. The Herald of the Heavens is here to lend her aide even in the most dire of situations. Angelic powers fallen from Nirvana have come to grace you with mighty Scions and healing magic rivaling the strongest of medics in the country! I, Cecile Iris du Ange will lend my hat to the ring of support so that you all may focus on the task at hand! There will not be any fall off of what I may provide to you all! So, compatriots! I say unto thee, stay safe but know I will be in your corner!" She had a hand cast over her face while her other arm was thrust out to her side, she was grand standing like some stage performer.
When they all moved together and made their way to the almighty tower, Cecile's entire demeanor changed. She had an overcast of shadow on her face, her gaze refusing to meet anyone else's.
"Please, be it far from my worth to ask for forgivess, allow me this moment to beg of it from you all. My power's, though meager it may be, is dwarfed by our party leader's greatness itself. This is my first dungeon I have seen in this country and its presence alone casts doubt on the meekness of my very soul. I hope that my best will be enough to count as mediocre in worth in all of your eyes. I vow, through what little worth my words have, to not drag you down to Gehenna with my incompetence."
She had a bad habit of showing her witch's quirks, though this act of hers was hard to turn off, there was an earnest girl beneath it all, hopefully the chuunibyou would wash away soon so that they could meet the snarky jinx.
She readied her grimoire just in case as they approached the tower, opening its ornate slate gray covers. The rims were gilded with brass feathers. The inside pages gave off a faint golden aura, though the odd pages were white and the even page were black, all of the words were glowing gold. It seemed she did in fact have the power of the heavens, though was cursed with some shadow's oddity to her magic.
"Fallen Angel Cecile Iris du Ange, commander of the first two orders and defier of death itself, ready for action and ready to serve!"
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would listen as the Angelic mage started making her bold and mostly untrue claims as she gave her name. She definitely had the odd ball trait of a black bull in spades however if she had what it truly took to back up the claims and the skill to be a magic knight still remained to be seen. Then there was of course Lydia's own younger cousin Pierce he chose not to introduce himself at least not yet. As the three mages finally arrived at the tower the blonde haired Ravencrest would finally speak up asking Lydia what the plan was the brown haired girl would also speak again self praising herself again which seemed strange given that turning the sand storm the opposite seemed to happened. Well Pierce it's simple we're going to head inside and deal with any mana beast we come across while making our way through the dungeon. Lydia's gaze would then shift towards. Cecile you can go ahead and tone down that self hype let your actions speak for themselves. I'd also be careful making claims against death you never know when it will come knocking to see if they're true. Anyway let's head inside. [break][break] Room 1 Floor 2 [break][break] As they entered the first room the light inside was a lot less than outside as one would expect but they were able to see just fine at least Lydia herself was. The increase in heat was also noticeable which the vice captain didn't mind to much. Her ears would also pick up on the sound of running water somewhere but it didn't seem to becoming from inside there current room from what she was able to see herself. As she started to walk forward she would feel her feet start to sink into the ground a bit. At first the glass mage thought it was just the soft soil forming to her feet but would soon realize that they were actually starting into the ground. Lydia knew she was more than strong enough to pull herself up and out of the ground with one of the lianas and up to the solid lime staircase but she wasn't to sure about the others. Her grimoire would then open next to her. Damn I didn't think I'd have to use a spell like this here. Light Magic: Hildr Lydia whole appearance would change as she cast the spell as she gained two white feathers as well. [break][break] The light mage would then fly out of the soil she was slowly sinking into and over to the other two mages holding a hand out to them if they needed it. If they grabbed it she would fly up pulling them out of the ground they were sinking into and dropping them off on the staircase before landing on it herself and letting her appearance go back to normal. Well with the first challenge out of the way I'd say we can keep going.

[attr="class","piercetext"] [break][break] Prior to Dungeon Time: Pierce was delightfully greeted by the cheerful cries of a quite jolly girl. 'By the seas shores' Pierce thought to himself as the very prideful 'fallen angel' seemed to make herself seem to quite the sight for sore eyes. Typically he was surrounded by sailors who didn't know the first thing about literature, but this girl who seemed half an average sailors name had a vocabulary that would seem to topple over his own easily. 'So once again the lowest raven on the tree' Pierce thought to himself giving a glance over the girl with an emotionless stare, but only for a moment as the girl began to speak once more. Another verse seemed to leave the pirate a bit confused. [break][break] 'Is she praising Lydia?' Pierce questioned as his canines began to poke out from his lips as he began to examine the situation he was actually in. 'Two other people. That means Lydia's either confident or has a death wish. Given her attitude though it really could go either way' Pierce thought to himself before glancing at the other mantle-less mage. 'And this girl? She knows Lydia? Or maybe' Pierce thought with a devious smile causing him to tip his hat to the front of his face to cover it. 'She's looking to get on Lydia's good side and cover her shoulders with the crimson lion mantle?' Pierce thought before placing the hat back on his head. He had no solid proof that the girl had other intentions than to be the angle of the group. The pirate would quickly toss the idea to the corner of his mind as it didn't seem like she was the type of girl to immediately ask for a position in the crimson lions. [break][break] After The girl spoke the final time Pierce was almost certain he was going to be working with a basket case, however as he lived the pirate's life it didn't seem too bad for him. At very least the Pirate wouldn't have to worry about overly possessive pirates after all, and with that thought his head turned towards Lydia. 'Besides. If anything gets sour. I guess I can rely on the other Raven' Pierce though to himself with a shooting pain in his chest. The pirate didn't exactly want his cousin to solve any of his problems, however the young Coral mage was also most likely the only soul on the team who lacked the ability to cast magic. [break][break] In The Dungeon: [break][break] After the sand storm settled and Pierce spoke his part the party leader Lydia would begin to speak. Pierce listened to what his cousin spoke of. "Well obviously. I was asking if we had any information from your squad" Pierce mumbled back as he followed along with the group as Lydia cracked open the door and the sun from behind them seemed to be unable to enter the place. 'That's strange' Pierce thought to himself not entirely sure why the dungeon acted as it did. It was then the smarter than average pirate began to think of the books he read so many years ago. They once spoke that the reality of this world wasn't always followed by the dungeons themselves. In short the book said that a dungeon's existence entirely consisted of paradox's and irregularities. That was why the coral mage tended to tread away from the ghastly places, however today Lydia's demands seemed to over take his own fears. [break][break] After the party began to walk forward, and unfortunately the dungeon began to grow darker and darker. Pierce himself had spent many nights within blacked out cabins, however this darkness that crept over them began to make the once brave pirate shiver. He couldn't even focus on what was around them as a loud splat came from underneath him. His feet seemed rather hard to move as he began to try and trudge forward before his cousin began to take up her spell book. 'She's really going to use here mana like that' Pierce thought holding his pocket watch in his hand wondering it it'd be worth it before Lydia began to grow two bright white wings and tear herself from the mud. 'I guess... I should really see the results before questioning her' Pierce thought as she outstretched her hands to them. [break][break] Pierce sighed grabbing on her hand not really minding the helping hand since he wasn't sure exactly how far he'd sink if he tried struggling anymore. Quickly Lydia would pull with her feathers flapped and she quickly brought herself to the stairs placing the group first before landing herself, and speaking rather quickly. "With that? I was nearly suffocated by a pile of mud Lydia. This dungeon wasn't made for a scoundrel like I" Pierce shot out breaking his typical tone letting out a more rough and pirate like tone before rolling his eyes. "Whatever. This dungeon just bumped itself up to a threat" Pierce complained as his hand quickly moved pulling his sword from it's sheathe with a quick twinkle of steel. "Guess I'll just give this a go and hope murderous vines aren't up next" Pierce said with a chuckle to himself as he'd begin to ascend the stairs. [break][break]

Let her actions speak for themselves? If she didn't narrate at least a part of her actions, who would write the story? Would bards sing of her prowess if sh--nope, she was just cut off by Lydia informing her she would be just as easy to kill off if she was so intent on her grandstanding.
Of course, that just pushed her down into the depths of despair, flipping the coin and landing on tails. The mirrored floor that showed the coin was two-sided. In her mind, there was nowhere to go but negative. Her face was cast over with a shade, her gaze sent to the ground as they entered the dungeon and made their way through it all.
She was getting caught up on herself more than anyone else. Would she even be able to be of help to these two? Her brain raced with thoughts, fantasies of herself saving the day, but only reminded of Lydia's presence and the power she held. Her mind just saw every fantasy cracking like fine porcelain and aging into dust quicker than she could come up with another hopeful endeavor.
So wrapped up in her own little world, the herald of heaven was sinking into the ground before she knew it.
"Alas, such is the fate of one who cannot grasp their proper worth. Mired into the muck, below the earth which I'm not fit to tread upon. A fitting end for the scum of the earth, but too light of a punishment for me. Alas, were I to collect what I had hoped to, but no, such is the cruel twist of fate."
She reached up to the sky, imagining the heavens coming to claim her, take her back as she was slowly mired deeper into the mud that sought to give her a live burial.
"Though the world knows not of kindness, I am happy to ha-EEK!" Her hand was grabbed and she was whisked out of the mud and dropped off with Pierce on the staircase.
Her eyes blinked several times as she looked up at the ceiling, arms sprawled out to her sides.
Without missing a beat, she just scoffed, "So that happened."
her tone was different from before, from either of the two grandstands of positivity or negativity.
Rolling over and kipping up, Cecile flung her arms and did a couple of hopping kicks. Mud was cast off from her limbs at the least. She bent over and shook her head back and forth, just trying to cast off some of the mud that had gotten caught up in it.
"Normally, I'd ask for a moment of privacy to take off my clothes and get some of this mud off, but I get the feeling we're more pressed for time and -- and everyone is already moving on ahead! WAIT UP!" She shouted as she followed after the two.
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would listen as the two junior mages gave there own input about what they thought was a near death experience. She thought they were overplaying it just a bit but then again this was as far as she knew the first time they had stepped into a dungeon. Pierce relax you weren't even close to dying and this dungeon is nowhere close to being beyond you. If you give up before really even trying something how do you plan on getting stronger? The vice captain would make her way to the next floor after all he could answer as they walk. [break][break] Room 2 Floor 1 [break] As the three mages made there way into the next room Lydia would hold her arm out for the other two mages to stop as she felt fifteen mana beast close to them. Okay so we have fifteen mana beast up ahead I'll deal with elven of them you guys take out the other four. With that Lydia would take her sword out before heading to fight the mana beast who would all try to strike her with there lianas however the vice captains speed was far fast than mana beast. As they started to drop down onto the floor Lydia would get to work dealing with her part of the mana beast. However it seemed that the mana beast were able to release toxic spores into the air that would deal intermediate damage to the whole party as it covered the whole room. [break][break] As Lydia reached the first mana beast she would quickly cut it down with her sword before she dodged the an attack from the second one. She would then quickly turn around before kicking the mana beast full force into the wall the kick itself along with the impact killed the mana beast. She would then quickly cut down the third and fourth mana beast before avoiding the attacks of the fifth and sixth mana beast. The vice captain would then throw her sword at the seventh mana beast stabbing into it's head killing it. She would then rush the eighth mana beast while dodging it's attack before she would punch through it's eye killing it. [break][break] Lydia would then grab her sword before cutting the lianas' off the ninth mana beast as it tried to attack her before cutting it in half. She would then finish off the tenth and eleventh mana beast at the same time by stabbing through the tenth one and into the eye of the eleventh one. The vice captain would then turn to the two junior mages who should have finished up there own fights. We should be fine to head onto the next room if you guys need healing let me know.
[attr="class","piercetext"] Pierce gave a scoff to Lydia's comment. She wasn't exactly wrong in him over reacting, but the seaman hadn't nearly been swallowed up by mud before. He wasn't prepared at all for what the dungeon had laid before him. He was after all perhaps the only mage in the dungeon who couldn't use any mage at all. The pirate gritted his teeth "Guess you're making some sense" Pierce said glancing towards Lydia. He was a bit impressed by her quick witted actions, and she seemed to have some sort of experience in the field of rescuing others. "I'll avoid making a scene again in the future Lydia" Pierce added. He wasn't exactly trying to get on her nerves so early in the dungeon, and she was nice enough to pull the coral mage from the marsh. [break][break] Second Floor: [break][break] As the group ascended the large oddly well crafted staircase. Pierce began to question what exactly a dungeon was. The immense sensation of mana surrounding him gave him goosebumps. The sensation grew and grew as they got closer to the heart of the dungeon. Pierce felt his mind begin to come to ease as they finally climbed the stairs in full. He wasn't use to walking up stairs with this sensation of mana flowing through him. He notices a thin veil of mana cloaking over of skin as his seemingly useless magic seem to attempt to try defending him against the back lash. Pierce wasn't to knowledgeable about 'mana skin' it was only a term he heard of a few times on the sea. 'Guess I'll have to ask Lydia about that later' Pierce thought to himself. He knew if nobody else Lydia probably knew a thing or two about the mana skin. Before the mage could ask her the question however the began to enter the next room. [break][break] Immediately the head of the Ravencrest family threw out her arm. Pierce immediately ceased his question and movement. Lydia without a moment wasted quickly informed them of the situation. Pierce wasn't so sure about her taking on eleven snails at once, however he was absolutely sure he'd be of no use if she couldn't beat them. It was when she said he and the rather aloof mage behind him were to take down four snails alone. Pierce wanted so badly to protest, however he knew that Lydia had more to do than either of them so he chose to bite his tongue. 'She hasn't responded. I'm sure she's still in shock' Pierce thought to himself. He gritted his teeth, and his body clenched its muscles. The four before him began to rain down spores. 'This.' Pierce thought to himself in a panic. [break][break] The coral mage quickly looked towards his cloak as the spores began to do their work. The untrained coral mage wasn't quick enough to guard his hat, nor a portion on the front of the coat he wore. His mana skin was also quickly affected as it began to weaken. Pierce quickly grabbed his pocket watch and threw it before him conjuring up his pitiful flying boat. The mage quickly mounted the boat in a standing position. The boat quickly took flight as Pierce pulled out his blade. 'Alright. It's only four but.' Pierce thought looking at the obvious tentacles the creature had at it's disposal. 'By the Sea Gods name' Pierce thought. His boat moved faster as Pierce quickly arrived at a tree hosting the first abomination. The Pirate quickly ran to the right side of the boat slashing the eye and landing where the cornea would have been. The blade cut through clean and the tentacles below fell limp. Pierce was perplexed by the lack of fight, however he kept his boat moving forward towards a pair of statues behind the tree. [break][break] The statue was sculpted as a pair of lovers, however the stone was cracked as the eyes fed on it. Quickly Pierce flew further about three meters leaning to the left of the boat this time as it flew past the statues and his blade quickly swung landing on the first eye, and then the second as the heads of the statues quickly gave in. The heads fell nearly five meters from the ground splattering as they landed on the ground blinded from the previous attack the eyes were already almost finished. What Pierce didn't realize was the fourth eye was below nestled within a moment the tentacles shot up slamming against the boat as it quickly reverted into a pocket watch dropping Pierce about three meters down. [break][break] Pierce quickly turned sword in hand as he fell. His hand swinging forward and cutting the liana coming up towards him. The attack was a success as they quickly fell, and Pierce landed with his sword slamming deep into the trunk of the three before his knees gave way from the force. At that point Lydia's battle would have ended, and Pierce would be panting over a now deceased eye. [break][break] He hadn't expected the first room to have so many enemies. His body was coursing with adrenaline. He quickly picked himself up from the ground as he turned towards Lydia pulling the blade from the trunk. "It's all taken care of over here" Pierce shouted back walking towards Lydia. "And unless you can heal my clothing I think I'm fine" Pierce responded. His lack of knowledge in mana skin was probably the reason he didn't bring up the surprise attack. The coral mage quickly grouped up with Lydia sheathing his sword. "So what's the plan from here? Are we going to continue?" Pierce questioned calmly wondering as he noticed Lydia had paused her movement. [break][break]

He was lucky enough to take out four before the liana managed to deactivate his magic tool and drop him three meters. She felt useless, beyond useless. Like a rusted tool meant to sharpen other tools, to the point that, were she to be used at all, it would cause more damage than good. It bit at the back of her mind, it made her want to go behind her little wall of acting up or acting down. To Cecile, this seemed like a divine comedy laughing in her face for her arrogance with her magic, with her reliance on golems and having no agency of her own. She had nothing to do but watch others zoom on past her while she remained behind in the safe zone.
In her mind, she saw these two people before her as monuments of her inferiority; Lydia for example, someone that could outdo her healing magic, despite having the power of the angels, and Pierce, someone who could hold his own in a fight. All Cecile could do was fight with the power of golems, run and hide, no way to defend herself with magic. She bit her lip as the fight went on, even after she was saved, she lagged, lost in her thoughts.
What in the world was she doing all of this time? Looking for the aid of others, hiding behind stronger people, making sure to not draw the attention of her former employers. That had to stop eventually, she couldn't achieve anything by never improving, but her magic wasn't suited to fighting, not in the slightest.
When the major fight was taken care of, it seemed that Cecile hadn't fought at all, instead, she was looking to the ground, idly flipping through her grimoire. White and black pages turning, some blank, some filled, with a solemn look on her face as she read through the pages.
"I -- I want to say something before we continue, please." She spoke softly at first, almost inaudible. If the two of them continued on before hearing her, she would shout out loud for them both, "I want to say something! Please hear me out!"
Her gaze still at the ground, she clutched her book tight. Her head lifted up and her face was red with frustration, tears at the sides of her eyes, ready to roll down at a moment's notice.
"I want to do something besides letting you do all of the work! I can't fight! My only way to help out is with golems that could be pushed over here or to heal! Please! Lydia! I want to be able to do something worthwhile to say I was of some help! Leave all of the healing to me! I don't have any grand magic to fight with, I don't have any weapons or ancient relics! I can heal and hide behind golems! But I'm going to do that to the best of my ability!"
She took in a shaky breath before presenting her grimoire to them, "It might not be today, it might not be tomorrow, but eventually, I will find something to fight with, to be able to say I can be an ally to someone besides a little side piece to cheer you on! But I can't do anything now if you're going to do everything! So, damn Eden and damn Gehenna! Even with the magic of a fallen angel, I am going to handle helping out."
She was certainly earnest, even through her shaken words and her faltering breath, Cecile was determined to, even if it meant coming to blows with Lydia, handle the healing of this expedition. She would be good for something, even if it meant coming to odds with one of the noble house heads of Clover.
And with that resolve in mind, nailed into her heart, her grimoire responded, pages glowing as something new started to form within its covers, something that she couldn't hope to wield yet at her power, but something that would allow her to fight later.
[attr="class","florencetext"] Before the three mages could head into the next room both of the mages would speak up. Pierce's was a little strange to the other Ravencrest. After all, why would they stop just after the first real fight? Sure the other two lacked any real offensive magic however that's why Lydia was here. As Cecile spoke up Lydia would turn and face her. The vice-captains face showed no concern for the others almost tears or anything really. It was just emotionless as she focuses on the main task at hand which was making sure the other two mages came out alive. [break][break] Sure you can take care of the healing unless one of you is about to die. Otherwise, I won't step in. Don't forget to use your golems as well. I can also loan you this for now. Lydia would then hand her greatsword to the Angelic magic mage. It was more than likely far too heavy for the girl to use with one hand like Lydia could but so long as she used both hands it would get the job done. With that, the glass mage would then motion for the two of them to follow her as she leads them into the next room.

Floor 2 Room 1
[break][break]
As they moved into the next room it seemed they were no longer underground as they could now see the open sky. Lydia felt the hot steam from the lakes close by on her face which was more than likely due to the magma underneath the ground below them. The trees and mushrooms were also massive as if the air here made them grow larger than normal. However, Lydia's main focus was the fifteen mana beast in the room with them that were currently eyeing the three mages who walked into their hunting grounds. The main group of thirteen were focused on the vice-captain as they could tell she was the bigger threat. Two of them however would make their way around to the two junior mages which Lydia allowed. Stay behind me otherwise you'll die. [break][break] Also in case you haven't noticed two of them are flanking us you guys with take care of those two. With that the vice-captain would start moving forward as the main pack also inched forward slowly. Normally the vice-captain would have taken them one by one however the other two mages with her really weren't the fighting type so if any of the Falkhasaur managed to get past her while fighting another one both Pierce and Cecile would be in trouble. I don't have time for this so I'll kill you all quickly. Glass Magic: Death's Scythe As the scythe appeared in the vice-captains hands the mana beast would start to run to attack her with their claws and jaws however by then it was too late. As Lydia would simply slash the area with the weapon sending out shards of glass in a seventy-five-meter area in front tearing and shredding the mana beast apart as the spell was easily strong enough to kill them. She would then turn around and watch the others fight the remaining two-mana beast. [break][break] After they killed their foes the vice-captain would start moving forward as the tower once again started to shake. Come on let's keep moving.
[break]
Floor 2 Room 3 River Path. [break][break] As the three of them were climbing the trees to get over the river as it didn't seem like a good idea to try and swim in the water the vice-captain felt as if something was in the water itself. After a few moments, her mana would in fact pick something up in the water. It seemed to be following them waiting to see if one of the mages would be unlucky enough to fall into its domain. Be careful not to fall into the water something is in it waiting for that to happen to it can drag you underneath. Assuming the three of them made it across the river without a problem the pink-haired mage would give them some time to catch their breath before she leads them to what was hopefully the final room as she let the scythe vanish from her hands.
[break]
Floor 2 Room 4 [break][break] To say Lydia expected to see what she was as they entered the final room would be a lie. Well at first she didn't see anything as two sets of roars would be let out before dust flew into the air blocking her view for a few moments. However, her senses would still pick up on the mana of the two beasts she thought the three of them would have to fight. However, as the dust cleared she would be able to see that they were in fact fighting each other. Lydia would watch for a few moments as the two traded blows however she would soon step in as the Joatl flew into the air and went to bite down on the Juvasaur's neck to end its life. Glass Magic: Gáe Bulg As soon as the spear formed in Lydia's hand she would throw it at the wing of the flying mana beast tearing right through it as it managed to halfway bite down on the neck of the other mana beast. Two cries of pain would ring out across the room. [break][break] Cecile make your way over to the mana beast with the neck wound and heal it. Peirce, you go with her and protect her in case it tries to attack her. I'll deal with the other one. Lydia had a feeling the Juvasaur wouldn't attack those who were giving it aid but it was better safe than sorry. The Joatl would then look towards the glass mage who had just taken out one of its wings and let out a roar as it charged her. Lydia would just hold out her hand as the spear returned to it. This spell itself while not used as often by Lydia was signature spell even if she did prefer swords over spears. Once the beast got close enough it would try and stab the vice-captain with its tail which she noticed was covered in poison. However, with her speed, she was easily able to sidestep the attack before countering by stabbing her spear through its tail. It would let out a cry of pain before it then tried to bite the vice-captain with its sharp teeth. Lydia would simply block the attack with her spear. [break][break] It had made a mistake by getting close to her. Before it could fall back the pink-haired mage would use her control to make a second glass spear stabbing it into the eye of the mana beast killing it. She would then make her way over to the others to make sure they were doing fine.

Even through her emotional outburst and tumultuous revelation, Cecile didn't seem to move Lydia at all. Even for someone as grand a glass mage as she, it was like looking at a stoic wall of obsidian, a blackened statue glass of the bowels of the earth. Lydia's emotions didn't show at all; if this were a poker game, all the chips would be on the table, and Lydia would be in possession of them all. She did respond in part at least, granting Cecile that mighty sword.
The moment the former thief took hold of it, her arms buckled, shaking from the weight as she hefted it up to prepare herself to wield it. fuming a puff of air from her nostrils as she flared with resolve! "Th-thank you! I will not disappoint!" She would keep it on hand, wielding it more like a shield from the broad flat side and trying to focus on countering, because Lydia was more than capable of handling the next several rooms on her own.
As they trudged through the rooms and Lydia took the liberty of clearing each one with ruthless precision, Cecile couldn't help but get lost in thought for a moment. She wanted to find strong people, people she could align with and work against her former allies. People that could stand their own against powerhouse monsters of mages. Yet here she was, more terrified of the efficacy and strength of one mage of Clover.
Are they all like this? What am I even doing? I can't get anywhere on my own, and now I'm worried about this? I... I need to think. Is this worth it? Yes, yes it is. I need to get stronger on my own! But, like, holy crap this is terrifying. She gulped audibly as they entered the room and Lydia took care of the beasts, even the ones that were coming to attack her and her junior ally.
Cecile had readied the sword, prepared to fight and defend herself, grimoire at the ready. But shards of glass flew in and shredded it to smithereens. Though with the two remaining beasts, Cecile readied that sword and flourished around in a wide circle. Shouting at the top of her lungs as she swung around and caught the flat of the blade on her back, she blew back the both of them with a brief stagger. She was clearly not used to fighting with swords, let alone with a sword of this size.
Two hands grasping the back of it, she swung it around, cleaving straight down along the front of one of the beasts, slaying it then and there. Even as the second came for her compatriot, she hefted it up parallel to the ground and ran toward the monster, running it through with the sword. Toppling over with it, she struggled to pull the weapon from the body before it would dissipate into dust.
And thus they were on to the next room, where Lydia was instructing them to be mindful of the water.
Cecile had the sword on her back for the remainder of that room, and the next room where two beasts fought each other rather than the human mages?
"This place is weird." She commented while watching the two beasts fight, snapping out of it when Lydia commanded her to rush over!
The redhead trundled over, rushing as fast as she could, to get next to the wounded creature.
"Angel's Grace! Archangel's Grace! First-order hear my call!" Darkened light of a silverish-black surrounded her and her grimoire. In front of her hands came a black halo with two golden wings sprouting from it. The light emanating from the spell would start to heal the beast, while the area around her was surrounded with palor light that cast something of a glowing shadow.
It was with these two junior healing spells and the power of her angelic magic that she would stabilize the creature and start working on sealing up the wound.
[attr="class","florencetext"] As Lydia finished of the final boss she would look over at the two junior mages. While her younger family member was just standing there doing nothing Cecile had wasted no time healing the mana beast who was now back in walking shape and would leave the three mages alone with a bag of loot. Good job healing the mana beast Cecile. We can sort out the loot when we get somewhere more safe. So let's get out of here. With that Lydia would lead the two junior mages out of the dungeon before taking Cecile wherever she needed to go. [EXIT for everyone]
