Michail was a very observant individual. More than what others would have given him credit for. Though this didn't stem from his ability to read the room in social situations, he was nonetheless a capable fighter for his specific role. Trying to do anything that he was not comfortable with, however, was another story.

And that was why in that split second of the redhead dashing, Michail realized it. Pierce knew that without him, he could not win. However, the dual-colored hair Ravencrest also wondered if he knew that the opposite held true as well. In close quarters, Michail was only barely proficient. Though he was the stronger of the two, that also meant that Victoria had little reason to actually need to contend with Pierce. He might as well not have even existed.

However...

When blood-- blood that was not his magic fell from Pierce's body, Michail dropped his guard from the shock. "Wha-"

In the next instant, a dome of swords surrounded him, and his entire person was locked. Movement wasn't permissible. There was no chance he was going to get away from Victoria's grip. Though his mind would have normally wandered, lost in adolescent thoughts, the sight of a family member, even one he didn't know, laying there on the ground as the blood left his body.

What about his mana skin? Weren't the Generals restricted only to Junior-level spells? No matter how powerful Victoria was, a junior-level was a junior-level spell. It didn't make any sense how she was able to completely ignore his mana skin. And even then, the young man was cursing despite his own heavily injured state.

...the issue, was that he was cursing at the wrong person.

"I surrender, I surrender!" Michail quickly made clear. He had no interest in a pissed off Lilygate who had complete control of how he may or may not be able to move his arms until he was healed. He knew all too well how the Lilygate family responded to such blatant disrespect, especially one that was not at all deserved.

At least, that's what he was telling himself. He had no idea why Pierce had sustained such a serious injury. His mana skin should have protected him. Michail was more concerned for the cousin whom he had never met at this point, and he hadn't ever actually seen such an injury so close before. It was very much cause for concern in his eyes. As far as he was concerned, the moment he had been captured, the fight had been lost. The moment either of the two young men were incapable of fighting, it was a loss.

"Someone, just quickly heal Pierce! There's no need to draw this out further!"
