[attr="class","haniaimage"]❝I hear a song of woe shadowing our past in sorrow.❞
[attr="class","haniascroll"]
It had been a while since the white-haired male had been in Clover, he had almost become a distant relative at that point as he spent quite a bit of time with the Ryuutei. He had learned a lot and even became stronger in that time, of course, he had also had ended up in a nine day coma due to pushing through an extremely bad trigger. He knew that news would have gotten to Lydia and his nanny Winter. He was quite aware to have a nanny at eighteen years old even as a noble wasn't a normal thing but he didn't exactly have a normal condition. He had day and nightmares, day and night terrors, was prone to blackouts and even ending up in comas for days on end. Lydia couldn't always be around due to her duties to the kingdom of Clover and to the Crimson Lions.
They both knew that and neither of them would put him in front of that duty, it would be selfish to put one person's needs above many's needs. His nanny was the one that had watched over Lydia's close friend Alyssa when she was younger and her mothers had their duties, so Lydia knew the woman and knew she could trust that she would protect him to the same extent that Lydia herself would. Winter was a wonderful woman but still like many of the strong female influences in his life he tried to avoid making her angry or upset. Winter specialized in defence, healing and offensive magic and even at her age, he was pretty sure she'd be able to put the four personal guard over her knee if she needed to. He knew he was blessed to have both Lydia and Winter in his life even if they could be scary at times.
He had gotten notice that 'family bonding' was happening he knew it could only mean one thing, Lydia wanted to see if there had been any improvement within the family members. He had said goodbye to the Ryuutei by the time his carriage had turned up but it was strange as he noticed that they hadn't been going the way towards the family estate and thought perhaps that he had been fooled. The problem was the seal on the letter had been Lydia's personal one meaning his presence was mandatory. He had to admit if someone had the balls to steal that thing off Lydia and managed to survive, then he deserved to be kidnapped but the one driving the carriage was one of his personal servants, so he didn't think it was that but did wonder where the hell they were going.
Soon enough the answer came as he saw a large estate, it was far grander than what he believed the current Ravencrest estate to be, not to say that he believed that his family home wasn't a step above pretty much every noble within Clover. It was then he saw his families crest on the fence of the gate and was even more confused, he really needed to keep in touch more because he really had no idea what the hell was going on and it wasn't a good look for the heir of the family "Josh, where are we?" he called out as the carriage went up the pathway of the estate "We're in the Ravencrest estate young sir." the middle-aged man spoke back "No, I kinda guessed that but where are we." he would ask again as if asking the location "This is Carrion young sir, your families provence." he commented
Well, that was news to him for sure, but he nodded to it "I see, that's is interesting and will take a while to get used to." he had been out of touch for far too long, and this proved it, he couldn't keep shirking his duties to his family so he could have a little more breathing room. In honesty, it made him feel terrible as he knew of the responsibilities he held to his family and nation and was playing hooky that was gonna come back and bite him in the ass and he knew it. "Thank you Josh." he said as the carriage came to a full stop and his carriage door opened quickly. Stepping out he wasn't exactly dressed as he normally was, he was wearing a set of torn white hakama and crimson kimono that looked like it had seen better days.
"Where is the training platform?" he asked the one that opened the carriage door "Please follow me sir." the young woman said moving quickly Hania following taking out a red cord to tie his hair back along the way. It was going to be a long day so he may as well get ready for it along the way, Amosita forming perched on his shoulder. Once there he saw the four who use to be personal bodyguard to the family, however, he had now been informed they were the generals of the province which made sense. Giving a small bow left hand into right fist a new quirk he had picked up while with the Ryuutei he walked onto the platform ready to deal with whatever was coming his way.

Post by Michail Ravencrest on Mar 3, 2021 19:26:30 GMT -5
Michail had often heard the phrase 'like a deer before light magic'. It was used to convey a feeling of shock. That moment of certain, impending doom and all one could do was stand there in awe. The general saying came about because of the frequency in which deer found themselves in the crossfire in training, and often were injured or killed as a result of simply remaining still. He used to think it just an expression, but one that didn't hold commonplace.
That was until Lydia had summoned him for 'family bonding'. The Ravencrest knew what that meant. He preferred staying in Silva; not because he enjoyed the company of being surrounded by those pretentious nobodies, but because he simply was too terrified of Lydia. He of course knew of the family's kingdom in the northernmost reaches of Clover, past the kingdom's jurisdiction. And of course, he had visited. But he had only done so when Lydia was occupied.
He of course knew that if he truly wanted to, he could probably find a way to live in the family's kingdom. In their estate. It only made sense that he would do so, after all. His loyalty was to his family more than it was to the Silver Eagles. However, he... really just wanted to limit his encounters with Lydia as much as possible. He wasn't like Waylynn in that sense. He wasn't like anyone in his family in that sense.
However, when Lydia requested your presence, it didn't matter who you were. You showed up. This was all the more prudent if you were a Ravencrest. Especially if you were a Ravencrest named Michail. The Silver Eagle made his departure from Silva post haste, heading out to the northern border to the Carrion Kingdom.
He had arranged for a carriage to achieve this, of course. It wasn't that he couldn't get there by the appointed time on foot, but he would absolutely wear himself ragged by doing so. It wasn't as if he was short on yul, either. It was easy enough to arrange, and so he did. He had arrived a few days ahead of schedule, and thus he had spent those few days training on his own volition.
"That damn woman..." Michail muttered under his breath as he was firing his swords towards dummies. "You don't need to tell me of all people that...."
He still had the dungeon on his mind. They had successfully cleared it. They had. But when it came down to ensuring her safety at the very end, they failed. They all did. Even his dear sister, though he would never tell her that. Since that dungeon ended, he had been trying to hone his skill and abilities, so that he would never have to experience that type of failure again.
He had been training since that dungeon, but he wasn't getting anywhere. It was infuriating. He couldn't fathom why he wasn't seeing any progress. He was of noble blood. He was a Ravencrest. Yet why... why was he struggling? Even when he was in the Silver Eagles base, he had been training this spell.
He was growing stronger, sure. But he could not improve on this spell, and for the life of him he could not figure out why. And that thought only drove him further upset. Even in his own familial territory, he could not improve upon this spell no matter how hard he tried. To make matters worse, the time in which the others would be showing up was just two more days from after he had arrived, and he wasn't showing any progress.
Weak. It was so weak. It couldn't even properly skewer these dummies. His "ultimate spell", and it couldn't so much as land a significant hit on these. He had learned how to properly create and control a vast number of golems at this point. He had learned a variety of new spells and had even created a similar, albeit superior version of his Hyper Ultra Bloodcrest Armor. And yet...
Why couldn't he upgrade this one, simple spell?
He took one of the guest rooms as his own for the night, before jumping right back on it. "Faster. Faster. Faster" he thought as he tried shooting his swords. But they wouldn't go any faster, bouncing off the dummies. He was growing frustrated.
What was he missing? He couldn't figure it out...
Damn it. Why did that woman have to perish with that dungeon? How was he supposed to even explain that to her family? She was an insufferable woman who belittled Chisana, himself, and even worst of all, his own sister. All of the Magic Knights at large. Yet why did he feel so guilty?
Damn it.
Again, he launched the spells... but they seemed to move faster, managing to stick a little bit into the dummies, instead of just bouncing off. What had happened? Michail didn't quite get it... but he kept the train of thought the same. He repeated this process over and over again until the blonde reached not just a moment of consistently being able to skewer the dummies, but also accel the movement of their speeds. What he had achieved here was...
learning.
When Hania did arrive on the third day -- the day the family was slated to meet with one another for this 'family review', Michail was already back at work, training this same spell so that it was capable of dealing the same damage. He figured what it was he needed to do to upgrade this specific spell. However, the eccentric male was unaware of the prodigal son's return for now, too busy being focused on what he was doing per usual.

Post by Cooper Ravencrest on Mar 4, 2021 11:32:49 GMT -5
It was a quiet day when Cooper read the letter part of him was happy to see one after all any letter from the head of the family is always a cause for excitement however this was Lydia and after all is said and done she is one of the scariest people he knows so the letter could be a lot more worrying than he first thought. Taking a firm seat he opened it and began reading an much to his shock an invite to the estate of for no better word a family gathering. Of course, Cooper had mixed feeling on this he was as always happy to see his relatives though if they were always happy to see him was to be left up in the air. Cooper did not take any time prepping himself choosing only his best outfits to take with him which total out to be about 15 different changes of clothes he also took his latest research notes covering various magical item ideas ranging from the mundane to the strange. Once he was all packed he headed out from the Coral Peacocks base on one of the Ravencrest's Family carriages and made his way to Carrion. It was a long journey which might have been extended a little cause of Cooper stopping at towns cause he of interesting magic he would spot from the carriage window. However, he would arrive never less and wearing some of his finest clothing a combination of a light pink shirt with licks of purple his fine black jacket and pants, and of course his Coral Peacock Cape. He stepped out and headed towards the entrance if he had gotten his days right this would be the day in which all the others of the family would be arriving. He was correct in this thought as he soon saw another carriage had parked up before his. Cooper walked with all the grace, pride and arrogance like he always did it was that walked the screamed nobility the way each foot fell in front of another with such purpose almost made it look like a dance. As he approached the estate he soon realized the sheer size and grandeur of the area. This was after all the first time he laid his eyes upon it from the architecture to the gardens it was something to marvel at. Cooper was reminded that maybe he should have spent less time researching and studying possible magic items and more doing missions and training as he felt a little intimidated as he got to the gates. As almost like waking from a dream he is drawn back by a voice "Sir how was your journey?" asked the guard who had been walking alongside Cooper since the carriage. Straighten himself up "It was long but undisturbed a pleasant time to take in the views I would say I couldn't ask for a more relaxing ride." the guard gave a firm nod as if that response confirmed Coopers identity. Cooper turned his head his a inquisitive look in his eye "Who had arrived before me may I ask and where might we be gathering for the meeting?" The guard took only a few seconds to be able to think of the response needed for this situation "That would be Sir Hania he arrived not too much long before you. I'll be leading you to the training platform." This response was pleasant to hear Hania of course was someone Cooper always enjoyed seeing and was more manageable then some of his other relatives to say the least. "Sir Michail has already been here for a few days." The guard added on. Cooper didn't ask but apricate the information never the less it helped to know what sort of foot he should be putting forward. After a little walking the training platform was in sight and so to was Hania cooper wasted no time to greet his cousin. "Hania it has been a few moons since we have last seen one another, I hope you are doing well." Cooper gives his bow just like most things overly elaborate and far too flashy for a normal person to stomach.

Waylynn had gotten her letter probably first considering the proximity of her squad’s base to Carrion, it was really only her choice to make the journey on foot that caused her to be later than the others. After all she had a few days before just visited reguardless and this time she would have felt too anxious just simply sitting in the carriage. Still, there was something more refreshing about the scenery even as she made her way out of clover. She considered the improvements she had made so far but if she were being honest they weren’t as much as she would have liked and she very much doubted that they would have impressed a mage of Lydia’s caliber without something being compared directly that should be on her level. Waylynn tossed those thoughts aside, they weren’t worth thinking about, wallowing in thoughts of inadequacy was for those without drive. If they wanted to see growth she had that at the very least, and she’d not be left behind least of all by the family closer in age to herself. Well at least she would hope to stand above those that she could consider her peers, but Hania had been personally trained for quite some time. Though she was quite confident in herself compared to her brother he had chosen to focus on different aspects of magic and well Cooper she couldn’t say that she knew much about his magic at all only that he was a part of the more research focused squad. Perhaps that was just her own hyperfocus on the more combative parts of magic though.
She wondered then, how many were going to show up? There wasn’t really an indication of how much of the family she had invited but she couldn’t imagine it was more than the active Magic Knights. Well regardless even if it was quite a few the last time that they had all managed to get to the same place was… the spirit ball? Had it really been that long ago? Perhaps a meeting was far overdue at that rate, though she was sure Michail would be less than thrilled to have to be scrutinized by Lydia directly.
She checked her map again, this was where she was headed, two carriages already un-harnessing horses to let them rest. Waylynn didn’t ask questions about it, obviously the others were already here and choosing to walk had made her one of the last to arrive despite being the physically closest. She passed through the gates without talking to the carriage drivers. She tapped the small moth-like fairy on her shoulder ”Salena wake up, we’ve arrived” The spirit stirred and rubbed it’s eyes looking around.
”ahh, we’re back here? I thought you were going to do some requests on the way.” She didn’t seem as interested as when the idea was first brought up, perhaps she had just gotten bored.
”I did say I’d gotten a letter to come to the estate, it just happened to be this one rather than the one in the capitol. It makes sense though, far less chance something happens if we gather in Carrion.” She was coming towards the platform where she saw Hania and Cooper as well as the ‘Generals’ but Michail was… oh he was off to the side practicing something. She walked towards him. ”Michail, brother the rest of the family is arriving, perhaps we should go greet them before Lydia makes her way out to the training platform.” She made sure to catch his attention as he seemed very focused on what he was doing, going so far as to tap him should he not respond
[attr="class","piercetext"] This is bold text use it for dialogue or whatever. This template uses break [break][break] Pierce gave a long yawn as he sat back in his homestead among the city of Raque. He'd been away from home for quite some time aimlessly sailing the sea's. It was rather funny how the only thing to drag the young coral mage back was the mention of a letter for him from a relative. The coral mage curious about the letter had ordered the fastest transportation the ravencrest money could buy. It wasn't the worst ride of his life, however the red coat he wore seemed to draw the eyes of the people he passed by. The young noble gave a sigh as he passed them by. 'It's ridiculous how good I must look in red' The over confident Ravencrest thought as he approached the main house that his side family had within the kingdom. He needed to 'freshen' up a bit after such a long journey before he read the letter, and as he went to his room to change he was met with his families butler Edwin. "Young master! It's wonderful to see you again! There was a letter left in your study. The head of the family requested a social gathering of the youths the information in the letter explains more" Edwin explained stepping away. The Ravencrest gritted his teeth at what the man had said. This was why he came back to this place. The long travel not a wave to be seen as he crossed through clover and the Carrion territories alike. They lacked the water the mage was use to, and with that being taken all for a simple gathering the mage wasn't impressed one bit with the choice the family made. [break][break] He quickly kicked his door open, and luckily his family had long since moved out of the main building since the sound seemed to echo throughout the entire household enough to spook Edwin who quickly came back. "Young Maste-" the butler began as he noticed the door kicked open and Pierce pushing the door close with a less than friendly look upon his face. [break][break] "They really brought me here for this? A family gathering?" the coral mage said lighting a magic candle as he began to open the letter. His eyes glossed over a portion, and then another. His face began to look in pure shock as the contents of the letter weren't for a social gathering. "T-They want to train us?" Pierce said as his fingers gritted the paper. "I haven't even filled a single page of my grimoire" the pirate muttered as he lifted his left arm and used his right to pull the book from the holster on his left side. "The book... It just wont fill a single page" the mage muttered using his magic to open the book and turn various pages revealing nothing but blank pages to the mage. "There's no way I can go like this" Pierce muttered as he dropped his dirtied red coat to the ground and moved to his closet opening it slowly as it revealed a slim variety of coats the pirate had collected over the years. Most of them were as red as the flames the Vermillions typically used, however the coral mage only saw it as a painful reminder that he'd be bound to the red colors of the Ravencrests forever even when he wasn't on land. 'Guess I'll pick black. It'll be my funeral anyways' the Ravencrest thought as he reached in pulling out the coat and lying it on the bed. 'I'm not gonna make this one easy though' the mage thought throwing his shirt over the coat and moved to his desk opening it and pulling out more than three small boxes worth of wrappings. The young mage proceeded to wrap up from his hip bone up. He'd decided that if he'd done this and made it tight enough it'd at least make him last a few moments longer. It took a ridiculous amount of time and the pirate had finally finished covering his torso as well as his arms as he moved to throw his shirt over his body, and then his coat. [break][break] "With this I think I'll go say my greetings to the family" Pierce muttered to himself looking towards his door as he buttoned his coat and then proceeded through his room grabbing his sword and pocket watch and quickly holstered the blade to his side, and the pocket watch nestled in his coat pocket. "Guess I'll pay a visit to the relatives" Pierce mumbled as he pulled at his door and it quickly open falling off the hinges as Pierce evaded and it slammed on the ground. "Well. They sure didn't maintain that door well" Pierce mumbled once again as he began to exit the homestead waving off his butler as he left. [break][break] After leaving the homestead he boarded yet another family carriage assigned by the head of the house. No quicker did he enter did the transportation take off sending him barreling into one of the seats as the ride sped off towards the main house. 'This is exactly what I was avoiding' Pierce thought to himself as the carriage quickly began to come towards the main household. [break][break] At The Main House: [break][break] Once Pierce arrived at the main house he was quickly ushered by the butlers and maids of the house towards the designated 'greeting' area. The blond haired pirate rolled his eyes in response as he began pacing towards the 'training grounds'. Pierce knew however this was just the heads way of testing out the family's talents. [break][break] Once Pierce arrived at the designated testing grounds he noticed a few noticeable figures among the crowd. The majority of them sporting odd attires. The only problem problem was Pierce had no idea who was who since he'd never paid attention to the families gatherings nor the happy news of a new ravencrest being born. It just wasn't what Pierce found amusing. After moments of waiting to hear why they gathered there Pierce himself wondered if the head had even shown up yet. Pierce began to glance back and forth not sure exactly what was to come as his right hand stuffed itself into his pocket fidgeting with his pocket watch impatiently. [break][break]
Post by Alexander Tempest Ravencrest on Mar 8, 2021 15:02:29 GMT -5
Alexander was on the grounds, having not met up with a good majority of his family in a long while. He was rather new so he doesnt have much experience beside basic training. Training with his family members were rather a good idea. Having been summoned by Lydia for this whole Family Bonding and all he was rather excited. Growing up he didn't have much experience interacting with most of his family beside his Twin, There were the rare moments when he did but as such he had a sort of issue with dealing with others socially beside the occasional Fight or Magic Knight related.
The Blond Haired Pretty boy walked up to the others looking at everyone who had arrived here ahead of him. Alexander was naturally wearing his Silver prestine Armor, Having a shine of proper maintenance and care. He regularly checked and maintained all of his gear on a daily basis. Making sure to look his best. He had his hood on as it was blue with a wide white stripe on the center. It was apart of his shirt that he always wore under his armor. The Cloak he always wore on his armor was blowing in the wind behind him, the collar of the cloak up, covering his mouth abit as he stood with Pride and Dignity.
He soon begun walking to where the others were. Standing to the side as he observed, his gaze was curious and invading similar to that of a cat's or a Veteran warrior Gauging his Allies and his Enemies.
[attr="class","florencetext"] It wasn't common for the head of the family to summon most of the Ravencrest back to the main family estate. Then again it wasn't exactly normal times with the deamon threat among other things and with how things were currently in terms of the strength of the other Ravencrest Lydia wasn't exactly thrilled with it. In fact she was a little disappointed in how little most of them had grown even taking into account the age gap between the members of the family. This was the main reason that she summoned all of them not that it said so in the letter but she wouldn't have been surprised if most of them had already figured out the real reason the glass mage called them all here. After all it was her job as the head of the family to take care of them and while she was fine with them doing their own things most of the time so long as it didn't effect the family badly. There was times like this that she had to step in and give them a little nudge. The pink haired mage was surprised that Michail actually showed up three day early however he did whatever he could to avoid Lydia which was no secret to the vice captain. [break][break] Nor was the reason why he did so even if it had been five years physical wounds might heal but mental ones don't always do the same. She couldn't blame him from the fear even if it hurt her emotionally at times as she did love everyone in the family even if they didn't think that she did but, at the end of the day he didn't leave her much choice at the end of the day. His extra training of course didn't go unnoticed by the head of the family even if he didn't know it at the time after all there was few things that happened in Carrion that the glass mage didn't know about and even more so when it came to her families estate. Everyone else showed up the exact day the letter told them to which Lydia once again knew before they even fully arrived. While it looked like Lydia herself might have actually been late to the gathering this wasn't true. Sure she wasn't down in the training area with the rest of the family she was actually currently over looking the area from the roof of the estate which the others would have know had they looked as she wasn't hiding herself only her mana. Lydia would let the others greet and chat with each other before she jumped off the roof. [break][break] However unlike her captain she wouldn't just crash onto the ground causing it to crack instead she would use her magic to make wings before touching down softly in front of the generals and the others. Well since it seems everyone is here I won't waste anytime. This family meeting isn't really a gathering more so family training as it stands most of you aren't up to par and could use the extra training. You won't be fighting each other however instead you guys will be fighting the four generals. The generals in question already knew this before hand as Lydia had made the groups the day before and gave the generals time to complain about it possibly being a waste of time in their eyes. Okay so Michail you and Pierce will be fighting Victoria. Hainia you will be fighting Noire. Waylynn you and cooper will be fighting Arata. Lastly Alexander you will be fighting Ferdinand. [break][break] Lydia of course knew that Michail and Waylynn would more than likely work better as a team but they wouldn't always be together and needed to learn how to work with other better. The rules are simple you guys are able to use whatever spells you want even area of effect spells so long as they aren't higher than senior spells. The generals will only be allowed to use junior spells except for Noire she is allowed to use intermediate spells. The fight ends one of two ways the general in question or myself rules you can no longer fight or if you get knocked and or pass out. If anyone has anything they'd like to voice speak now otherwise we can get started.

One by one the family members seemed to turn up, it was unlikely that Lydia was too far away, in fact, he guessed that she would likely be at a position where she could see who arrived and when. Michail was already there and seemingly training on either a new spell or his control, for all he poked fun of his cousin he knew he was indeed a skilled mage or at least had the potential to be one. It somehow felt as if there was a disconnect between what he was trying and what it did at the time, it was unseemly for someone of their family to have to try as hard as he did but in honesty, he personally didn't see it as a weakness but more like a hurdle he had to overcome. Given how many triggers and hurdles he himself had it wasn't like he could judge the other too harshly.
The next he noticed was his cousin, Cooper who seemed to be peacocking as normal, it would have surprised him if the carriage had a built-in wardrobe and the man changed his clothing every few miles. There was nothing wrong with wanting to look your best but when Lydia was calling everyone for 'bonding' using her personal seal and not the families crest it meant that dressing up as if you were going out on a date was the best way to go. It wasn't too far of a stretch especially with the four main family bodyguards turned generals of their families now province being there to realise this wasn't just going to be for a simple sit down and chat brunch. They were there to train plain and simple, the talking and tea would likely happen afterwards when Lydia was satisfied. The issue was not even he knew how long that would take.
The next to make an appearance was the unfortunate twin of Michail, his cousin Waylynn. The difference between the two was night and day, she was an extremely competent mage and strong in her specializations, he had heard of her receiving a spirit recently and was actually happy to hear the rumours were in fact too as he saw the salt spirit fluttering by her. It did make him wonder what kind of personality the spirit had and even their name. Other than Lydia he hadn't interacted with any other of the family since gaining Amostia. He started to make his way over to his twin cousins but kept aware of his surroundings, they were family sure but he knew it was stupid to let your guard down fully even in more comfortable settings as you never knew what could come your way.
"Hello Michail and greetings to you Waylynn." he said his voice calm and polite as always his eyes moving to Waylynn's spirit for a moment "Congratulations are in order I see." his tone was slightly warmer than what it normal sat at as he brought up his arm Asmostia hopped from his shoulder to his forearm. "It takes time to create a good bond with a spirit especially when they believe they know best and don't have any idea what personal boundaries are." he knew that first hand, Amostia has been and still was a nightmare to deal with but it was getting better over time so he was grateful for that at least. "I'm going to be attempting partial spirit dives soon so perhaps you might want to try bonding with your new companion at the same time." he offered her, he usually preferred doing things on his own but he felt like he should offer nonetheless.
"Oh this is Asmostia by the way, he's one of the guardian spirits to the Ryuutei." He had no idea how much the pair knew about the clan or if they had ever heard about them before but he wanted to at least give them some kind of information in regards to the spirit he found himself partnered with. It was then something than a unicorn sighting happened, it would seem as though their cousin Pierce had actually decided to make an appearance, he was about to die of shock because trying to get the man off a boat was just as difficult as getting Hania to willingly socialize with people. "As I live and breath." he said chuckling lightly "I almost thought the ocean swallowed you up Pierce. how long has it been since you last actually graced the family with your presence?"
He knew his ocean-loving cousin wasn't here willingly, he was only here due to Lydia's personal summons and no one dared to get on her bad side. He realized due to the other not being on land often he may be a little out of his depth "I'm Hania, Waylynn is the woman standing next to me, the blonde with the scar is her twin brother Michail, the peacocking male over there is Cooper." he said motioning to the people he spoke of "I believe we're going to be training given we're on a training platform and I would say to the four guardians over there." he said his tone again becoming neutral, he would leave the introductions of the generals to themselves or to Lydia. It was then his youngest causing finally decided to make an appearance, he was clad in armour as it a knight from a fable.
He shook his head a little as he watched how the other was observing the rest of the family, he himself was an observer even the smallest detail or quirk could give him quite a bit of knowledge on a situation or a person. It was something that he was able to do from when he was little, Lydia and Alyssa had helped him hone it so he could see that he was viewing this much like a battlefield and though it was a training platform it was still a long way away from an actual battlefield. "That is our cousin Alexander, at current he is sizing us up I would guess as if we were going to attack him." he sighed a little.
he would never understand what it was with people acting as if just because they were trained with a sword since they could hold one that that meant they were some sort of warrior with twenty-five-plus years experience when they had none. He could understand wanting to remain on guard as he was constantly but he didn't ever think of his family or the four now generals as enemies. Loyalty to the kingdom and the family were the two of the foundational values set in stone to the family to go against them was unspeakably taboo and would see you disowned at the very least of not something worse depending on what happened. It was something he would rather not worry or think about given his own past but it did rear its ugly head every now and then. He had been told he would always be welcome with the Ryuutei and he was thankful for the kind words but this was his family and so would do what was expected of him.
Soon enough Lydia made her grand appearance explaining what he and hopefully the rest of the family had figured out. As Lydia was explaining who was fighting which general Hania would point at the general in question so the uninitiated would be able to put a name to the face. After all, some of them may have been out of the loop or didn't spend a lot of time at the estate so wouldn't know who was who. He moved towards Noire, it wouldn't be his first or his last time fighting the woman he knew that. "It's been a while Noire, how have you been keeping?" he would ask as the others separated into their groups, she may have looked sweet but he knew that was just a smokescreen, she was the youngest of the four as he was the same age as her but that didn't make her any less capable than her peers.
Hania listened to the rules and had a few things he would have liked to say but remained silent, the rules of the spar had been given and he would accept it. He had gotten used to the way of the Ryuutei by this point where both sides decided the rules of their spars and would stick to it, but he was back in the real world now so to speak where training rules were dictated to the students and they just kind of had to accept it or it could get so much worse. "Terms are fine in my case." he said knowing he was getting off lightly in comparison to when he usually trained with her but he wanted to know if any other would try and go against what was being asked of them.
He had to admit he found it interesting that Alexander was being requested to fight one of the generals on his own but then Lydia could read micro-expressions too so may have wanted to teach him he was still a cub with a long way to go. Then again he wouldn't dare to hazard a guess of what when through his sister's mind, believing he might need some bleach afterwards.

There was a saying commoners used. "I didn't fail. I learned a hundred ways not to do so something."
Truthfully, Michail detested the phrase. But it was something he was having to use to comfort the wounds of his own incompetence in the dungeon. There had to have been a way to save her. If he had stuck around, maybe he would have found such a way. Something that nobody else could have thought of. To hell with his pride and ego if he couldn't even save a civilian in such a rudimentary dungeon like that one.
Michail had just begun unwinding from his own self-imposed training session when Waylynn had approached him. He was 'content' with his training. Not because he felt he had perfected it, but because he had clearly made signs of progress. Enough for him to feel that he could reliably use this spell and not feel the same shred of guilt that he had in the dungeon. Or rather, use that guilt as motivation.
Michail glanced up when Waylynn spoke to him, though his eyes wandered to the moth-like creature that was flying around her. How curious. He didn't take his sister for a golem user... wait. No, he had heard about this. Only once, but he had heard about a woman matching Waylynn's description who had apparently been blessed with a spirit. The exact specifics he was largely unfamiliar with, but even as proud as his sister as he was, he wasn't aware that it was her who had managed to come in contact with a spirit.
Crimson eyes lighting up with pride, the younger twin burst into laughter at the sight of Salena. "Congratulations are in order I see! If anyone would have been capable of bonding with a spirit, of course, it would be you, dear sister!"
His laughter was not mockery, but one of joy and elation that Waylynn had managed to acquire such a thing. He was truly proud of her for that. "Of course, of course. Right away," he said as he switched from this training area he was at to the one that was actually required of the family to attend.
It was here where the rest of the family had shown up, including the generals of the Carrion militia. He recognized Cooper, and... Pierce? That was Pierce, right? He hadn't ever actually met him, of course, but he had heard about him. Of course, Hania took notice of the twins as well, rightfully congratulating Waylynn on her relation to the Salt spirit.
Michail offered a smile and wave to the ever effeminate-looking Hania. What caught Michail off guard, however, was a spirit of Hania's own. Lydia had light magic, Hania possessed a spirit, and so did Waylynn.
He retained his smile, but this time it was a bit more pained. He quickly could tell just how far he was compared to his sister and Hania. But that was to be expected. After all...
What did catch him off guard was that Hania's spirit was not native to Clover. The Ryuutei? That group of savages and cannibals whose only claim to fame was their brutality and talent for war? While that was useful during the Diamond War, it certainly held no place now. Frankly, their position of nobility was too good for them, but he supposed it was better to have them as allies than enemies. Especially that monster of a man. What was his name again? Bengal? Fitting that he had the name of a beast.
Hania introduced Pierce to the rest of the family. It was clear that this cousin was quite estranged and had minimal contact with the family. Alexander was also present, but Michail paid him no mind. He didn't really have an opinion of that one yet ... which already put him in a better position than his opinion of Cooper.
As if on cue, Lydia made her usual late arrival. Michail had just kind of expected that at this point, not that he minded. Realistically, he would have been much happier if she didn't show up at all and he could just go back to the base. That would have been a much more desirable outcome, but that was not the case.
Lydia explained that the family would be fighting the generals in a simple training exercise. This caused his brow to raise as she explained the terms. They could use whatever they wanted, but the generals were stuck to junior-level spells? Well, he didn't really mind that in truth. He knew they were far above himself.
Michail actually... barely knew Victoria. He only heard about her. He wasn't that much taller than she was, but it was clear she was far more fit than he was. However, her lack of expression was... confusing to him. Her attire was clearly... bizarre to him, however. Mostly because that armor didn't... really cover up much. What was the point?
It must have been to distract him because he couldn't avert his eyes from a certain area. The young man had to physically slap himself to get back to focus. This was Victoria Lillygate, one of the generals of the Kingdom and from a respected and allied family. He had no right to even think of such things. On top of her choice of what to cover up, he also had to fight alongside Pierce, a figure he knew next to nothing about.
Ugh, why couldn't he fight alongside Waylynn? He was more comfortable teaming up with his sister than anyone else. Knowing how she fought made it easier to do his job.
Michail did not question anything, but he did with this redhead had the sense to cover up more for training. Michail was scared to get close to women, but that did not mean he did not find them any less attractive. And a woman who revealed that much... she was a Lillygate! She should dress more modestly!
It couldn't be helped. He glanced over to Pierce. "Please tell me you're a close-up fighter," he called to the eccentric pirate. Wiping his hand down his face slowly, he let out an exasperated sigh. "Because I am most certainly not."

Waylynn blew a small bit of hair out of her face, she had been congratulated on simply having Salena with her twice now. This would do nothing good for the spirit’s ego, she was sure. ”Please, save such congratulations for when we accomplish something. As it stands Salena has merely decided my grimoire is a suitable host for her.” She waved it off, of course she would push some modesty while Hania had already surpassed her in such matters, it would do her no favors to boast and then be shown to have been blowing smoke after all.
She had almost made a comment about Pierce joining them, after all he had chosen not to become a magic knight, or was perhaps incapable. It made little sense for him to be a part of this if that were the case though, perhaps it was Lydia’s attempt at pushing him, however gently. Alexander though she had to hold back from mocking his ‘discerning’ eye, surely he wasn’t contemplating starting a fight, no, was he gauging how to prove himself it seemed. She was quite sure everyone here, perhaps excluding Pierce, would be a bit out of league for such an expression.
Lydia showed herself before Waylynn made a comment on it though, and more confirming what she had thought more than that though, she designated who would be training with what general. Arata, there was a few things she remembered about him in particular he used Shadow magic and beyond that Shadow mages usually used Sensory magic. Even if it was just bias that was one particular spot where Waylynn sorely lacked any talent. Regardless if that were the case perhaps it wasn’t the worst thing in the world that she had been paired with Cooper he was after all, mostly a support mage. That was probably why Lydia had paired them as such, on his own Cooper would hardly stand a chance, and while Waylynn was more capable of out and out combat she wouldn’t be able to counter illusions.
”Shall we then Cousin. I’m feeling confident today and I’ve new spells to put to the test.” She walked to Arata himself waving Cooper to come with.
”And a pleasure to train with you, Arata I’m sure. I suppose we should spread out yes? It would be… disruptive if our spells were constantly crossing each other’s arena.”

Cooper had spent some time observing each of the family members coming in even though he had not met his cousin Pierce he had heard of many of his exploits at sea. He had watched at the corner of his Michail doing somewhat he assumed was a warm-up of some sort getting ready for whatever was coming their way. He had taken a moment to look at each of the generals to Cooper he knew they were strong way stronger than Cooper he knew this well maybe if he spent more time learning how to fight and not tinkering he wouldn't have this twisted feeling In his stomach. It was as he started forming 2nd thoughts on this little training exercise did Lydia make her fashionably late appearance and Cooper clung to every word he may be weak but paying attention and picking up on information was the least he could do. When he heard he was paired up with Waylynn it occurred to cooper that he had not in fact worked alongside any of the other members of the family so this would be an important learning experience for him.
Knowing that he would be having to support Waylynn in this fight instead of close combat he thought it is best he be light on his feet. In one fluid motion, he removed his long black coat and it floated down onto a nearby chair he adjusted his hat so it sat nicely above his eyes. Even before he took a step following Waylynn he observed Arata he kept in mind the parameters of the fight he knew it would be near impossible to knock Astra but it doesn't mean they shouldn't fight like it's possible. Cooper Reviewed what he Knew, he knew Waylynn was an impressive combatant Cooper would be relying on her to confront Astra head-on. Meanwhile, Cooper would have to cover for her weakness that being sensory magic keeping in mind Cooper more than likely would have to confront the Shadow mages' illusions that would inevitably be thrown their way. It would take cooper a solid 30 seconds before he would process the fact Waylynn was waving him over. Cooper took the confident pose he always did and began to walk to most who didn't have an eye for details it would look like his normal walk however the air of arrogance was gone the light-footed steps he took were much heavier and just slightly his eyes gave off the air of nervousness. However, his attitude had not changed cause to Cooper maintaining his status was very impotent to him. "I am looking forward to the show, you can put on with you new spells Ill do my utmost to make sure your skills shine as much as possible." he turned his head to Arata "I do hope we have a fantastic fight." He placed his hand on his hat giving it a small tip as he finishes his sentence.

Alexander Curious Gaze looked at Lydia hearing upon her announcement that he would be fighting a General by himself. He was honored but wonder as to what reason behind that choice was it to make Alexander Fight a General alone. Never the less he would bright his all. After all while in combat no matter who they face, nor matter where they come from, and how strong they are rumored to be. One shouldn't underestimate their opponent, Bringing his all everytime was much more favorable for Alexander's chances of success.
He spoke no words but prepped, Preforming light stretches' as he would always do before training. He stood proudly as his golden Blonde hair blew in the wind, the cloak behind his flapping in the wind. Reaching back to grab the hood of the Shirt under his armor he normally wore and not the one of the Magic knight robe. He put it on as he rather prefered this one as it had a more material attachment to him. He was ready to fight if needed.
He looked at the other family members and softly smiled as he closed his eyes for a second, before opening them up. He took out his grimoire and held it in hand. Not opening it yet as he stood by, as he kept observing, he would like to speak up but his social anxiety is still a problem for him, not spending time with most people while growing up really take a toll on him.
[attr="class","piercetext"] This is bold text use it for dialogue or whatever. This template uses break [break][break] Whilst the pirate was nervously fidgeting with his pocket watch the seconds began to quickly turn to minutes. It wasn't long before the black dressed mage would be notice, and to Pierce's surprise it was one of the 'rising' stars of the generation who decided it was time to speak to him. Pierce was a bit foggy on what the persons identity was since the only defining feature of the mage who approached him was the snow white locks, and his almost feminine facial structure. It might have been in part with the fact that none of the Ravencrest children seemed to be able to grow a decent beard for the life of themselves. Pierce shrugged off the details of the man as he tried to piece together how the mage knew anything about him, however it finally struck the coral mage that his parents might have spoken about him often to the various family members. 'Great. Then I guess I'll be entering this spectacle with a reputation' Pierce thought to himself as he glanced towards the fair male mage as he began to speak once again, and this time properly introducing himself. [break][break] Pierce began to listen to the man as he began to identify all the members who'd be participating in the matches. Pierce wasn't going to turn a blind eye to the information, after all he knew he might end up running into another Ravencrest sometime in the near future. [break][break] After Hania spoke Pierce would let his lips part for a moment as he'd begin to speak. "It's a pleasure to meet you Hania. Although I've been off at Sea I've missed the families warm greetings" Pierce said with a polite tone. He had no reason to spark much of a conversation, however Hania seemed to mention one more Ravencrest who wasn't speaking as much. A younger Raven who went by the name of Alexander. Pierce could relate to wanting to scope out the potential dangers, however he didn't have much time before Hania had appeared on the scene. "I'm sure everyone is a bit on edge, after all we are standing atop a fighting ground" Pierce teased as he looked towards the group. "Even though I'm not sure where the head of the family is" Pierce added with a moment of pause in his words. [break][break] Where was the head of his family? He'd been there long enough for at least a single official who'd be directing the event. The wait did give him a moment to pause and once again go over to list of people accompanying him to the nearest infirmary. First and foremost was the man who went by 'Michail'. The man himself was dressed rather peculiar attire, and for once the pirate thought he he might have underdressed for their execution, however it was quickly tossed to the side as Pierce realized the mage he looked at was also sporting a scar, and that was the moment he waved. Pierce putting on a 'noble' appearance raised his hand waving back with a blissful looking smile before turning his attention towards the fellow Ravencrests appearing before him. [break][break] The next was Waylynn. He'd noticed her before, however she seemed not to have a comment to address with him, however he did take note of her discerning silence, after all the man Hania had been so outspoken, but his company seemed to be a lot less friendly than himself. It wasn't something Pierce dwelled on for long though, after all he'd finally hear the voice of none other than Lydia Ravencrest speaking by that point. When the head of house spoke not a soul dared speak. Pierce knew that not a single mage there had any thought their conversation mattered more than the command or demand of their current head. Not even Pierce himself dared mention a thing, however Lydia began to get straight to the point not wanting to waste any more time. It was something the pirate admired, however he still had mixed emotions about the leaders late arrival. it was then that the coral's mage let his eyes drift towards the mages under his cousins commands. Their appearances differed greatly from one another, however Pierce gave a grim look at the motion of the head's hand as she ushered his eyes and the eyes of Michail towards the red haired mage strapped in metal armor. 'There's no way' Pierce thought as Lydia spoke of the girl's name. Victoria. The infamous friend of Lydia. It was a tale that the family typically sung as Pierce escaped away to his room, however now the tale has turned into something of a dark reminder that he was completely out of his league. [break][break] By this time Pierce and Michail had paired up and they were now staring down their opponent as Michail began to whisper. Luckily their opponent stood about twenty to forty meters from the pair's location. "I cant promise I'll be able to hold this threat back long" Pierce admitted as he looked back "However if the generals have to hold back there might be a chance" Pierce reminded. He knew that if the generals were holding back it might hinder their abilities since they must be leagues ahead of the mages in front of them. [break][break] Pierce gave a sigh walking forward as he gripped his sword's hilt pulling the blade from the sheathe slowly. "You know. I'm not sure what this is really going to accomplish here Victoria" Pierce began with a sigh. "However I guess we're both going to obey whatever Lydia says" Pierce said with a faint smile. "Well then I guess we can begin the test now" Pierce said as his breathing began to get heavy, and he felt beads of sweat rolling down the side of his face. They hadn't even began to fight, however the coral mage felt as though he'd been staring down a lion all this time. This was due to his constant time at sea where less powerful mages dwelled. Now the Coral mage was staring down one of the generals. A figure that was created with the purpose to protect Carrion, and if there was one thing Pierce knew it was that Lydia wouldn't hire anyone with no potential or strength to guard her kingdom. Pierce tried to keep his posture more confident than he felt kicking up dirt as he steadied his stance slanting his eyes as he stared down Victoria. [break][break]
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would wait a few mintues in case the others spoke up about wanting to chance the rules or perhaps even those they were teamed with. However it seemed that the others were fine with it. That or they simply chose not to say anything it didn't matter either way as thinking about it wouldn't chance anything. The vice captain would then look towards Alexander as he looks towards the others didn't go unnoticed by the head of the family. Perhaps it was he felt confident in the fact he could gage the gap of those around him or it was something else. Either way being over confident was never a good thing in Lydia's eyes as it only lead to mistakes. Which was something Lydia didn't want to let the others make. [break][break] After all as the head of the family it was her job to make sure the others could do there best or at least help them down that path. So she would simple walk over to Ferdinand and Alexander. Ferdinand go ahead and head in inside I'll take over fighting Alexander for you. Lydia would then turn her gaze to Alexander would it be fear she saw or something else? Don't worry I'll follow the same rules as the generals and won't use anything other than junior spells. In fact I'll even give another handicap and won't buff my speed. Even with that Lydia was by no means going easy on the young Ravencrest. She would then put her sword on the hilt of her blade. We can start whenever you're ready. [break][break] Hania and Noire [break] As Hania spoke to Noire the young women would just give him a bright smile. "Hanina it's been to long. When was the last time the two of us got to fight each other? Though it seems Lydia has limited me pretty hard this time I can't even use my axe. As for how I've been I guess you could say as well as I can be other than the fact Lydia hasn't let me spar with her at all this week. Oh but we should move away from the others so you can use all your spells." With that the youngest general would lead Hania forty meters away from the rest of the group turning to face Hania if he followed her. [break][break] "It's a cool that you have a spirit now but a shame you can't use spirit dive. I've never been able to fight a spirit dive user. So how about when you can actually use it we fight again without holding back. Sounds fun right?" Noire would the pull out her grimore casting a spell to make a steel axe. "We can start whenever." [break][break] Michail and Pierce [break] Victoria would look over the two male Ravencrest mages she was to fight against. She of course knew why Lydia put them together but the red haired women wondered if they knew why. Michail's gaze towards her chest would of course not go unnoticed. "Michial if you wanted to seem them you could always just ask me. Victoria meant for it to be a joke however she would say it an her normal neural tone on accident instead of a joking one. She also found it interesting that Pierce was going to be the frontline fighter because as far as she knew he was a support based mage. Perhaps he planned on fighting with his sword instead of magic at first? [break][break] He of course wouldn't be the main problem currently. That would be Michail well his golems at least assuming he used them. Speaking of Michail he would then speak to Victoria asking her a question. "What's the point? Well it's simple if you ask me. Lydia is having you two fight me because fighting someone stronger than you means you have to think and plan a lot more. It will also help build team work and I can point out spots the two of you need to work on." Her grimoire would then appear at her side before she cast a spell making a sword that would smell like roses. She would then start heading towards them as the fight was starting which of the two were going to make the first move was the only thought in her mind currently. [break][break] Waylynn and Copper [break] As Waylynn and Copper walked over to Arata he would smile at both of them. "Lady Waylynn congratulations on bonding with a spirit. As for spreading out yes I agree it would be shame if others go the way of our little fight. If you follow me I'll show you a spot that will be prefect for the both of you." He would then lead the two of them to spot that would allow Waylynn to make use of her traps as well. "I look forward to getting to train the both of you I do hope you don't take any of the injuries we give each other personally." He would then look over to Ferdinand. "Well it looks like Ferdinand doesn't have to fight anyone. [break][break] However things don't look good for Sir Alexander as he now has to fight Lydia. Arata would then shift his gaze to Copper. "So would the two of you like more time to make a plan or maybe set up traps? If not shall we start?' Arata himself wouldn't cast any spells just yet as he would rather see what the two Ravencrest chose to do and react to that instead.

[attr="class","florencetext2"]You can put spells and whatever here idk [break][break] Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Hania looked at the youngest of their generals and smiled faintly "It has been almost two months since I was last home, so I would have to say just over two months ago." he would answer the raven-haired woman, his voice as calm as it normally was when he spoke to people. "I am stronger since the last time we fought, I am surprised she is making you go so light on me." he said honestly to the other, to the outside world she would look like this cute, innocent and bubbly teenager but she was pretty sure she could put most grand mages on their asses if they even looked at her the wrong way. It was actually quite amusing to see in his opinion though he smiled upon hearing her pout that she couldn't use her axe before poking her cheek once like he normally did when she was like that.
"Pouting doesn't suit you." he said simply before looking over to his sister when she said she had been fine but hadn't been able to spar with her all that week. "I guess you'll just have to put up with me as a proxy then." his voice slightly warmer than normal as he glances back at her "Lyd, I have an objection to my training." he finally called out to speak his mind. "I'm stronger than when I was..." he paused for a moment looking around the area, it wasn't as if this place was home he just found out it existed so he wasn't too sure how to finish that sentence "When I last trained Noire, I don't want her to hold back so much. I won't be able to tell how much I've grown and where my weaknesses are if she does." he stated giving the reasons for his objection.
He didn't wait for a reply as he nodded to Noire's words and walked beside her so they would be away from the others, he would still be able to hear Lydia if changes were made to the allowances of the spar. He knew he was an idiot for requesting the difficulty to be increased but it wasn't in his nature to take the easy option even when handed to him on a silver plate. It was something he had shown on the day that he had stolen from Lydia, after all, there were plenty of other wealthy people not wearing mantles on the streets of the royal capital but for some reason unknown to even himself to that day he chose the magic knight. It had been the best choice he could have made by some miracle as he found himself now as her brother.
His stubbornness, tenacity and the likes were nurtured over the years. He knew that there where times taking the easy route was the best strategy but this wasn't one of those times. "I gained Amostia same day as my last..." he went silent, he didn't want to bring up that he had a trigger because it would lead into an inquisition and if the length was found out he was pretty sure all hell was going to break loose. "I've had him around six weeks." he said changing how he addressed how long he had been bonded with the ice spirit. "I will be training partial spirit dive in a few days most likely so I will be happy to oblige your request." he said turning to look at her for a moment. "Let's hear Lydia's ruling on my request before we start." he suggested moving slightly away from the other knowing the fight would be starting one way or the other shortly after Lydia's decision was made.
