Dungeons have been popping up randomly around the Kingdom. They have become an attraction towards Magic Knights and Rogues alike to gain riches and fame. Many would venture out to the unknown occurrence and be met with extremely dangerous mana beast and the like. There have been news of some not coming out from the dungeon, however that did not scare the most carefree of person. Treyni Harp, on the other hand, was not tempted with the promise of riches and generally, the good life that the dungeon promised. In fact, he was tasked by the Azure Deer to survey the dungeon and gather as much information as he can, when it comes to the flora, fauna, and the general environment of the dungeon. There have also talked of Rogues going to the tower, so it would be a good way to intercept them. The tower of Quinteps was far away from the Kingdom, existing around the Fringe, a wasteland of both Clover and Diamond.
Dusting himself off, walking towards the desk of Azure Deer. Treyni wrote a report of him going towards the dungeon, as apparently it would be a dangerous task and the male was going there alone. It would be understandable since he will only be doing a survey of the dungeon and come back out if ever there are any signs of danger. Then pivoting around, he headed off outside the squad base. It would have been hard looking for transportation of some sort to go to the Fringe, however, Treyni was blessed with a trinket in the form of a necklace with a key as an amulet. The necklace possessed magic similar to his grimoire. Imbuing his magical energy towards the necklace, activated the spell that was inside. Holding the key in his hand, he turned the key to the left, as if he was opening up a gate. The key shone brightly and when it dimmed, a large butterfly made of bluebell petals appeared in front of him. The butterfly had its wing lowered down, allowing for ease for Treyni to climb up to the middle of the butterfly.
When he felt that was well-balanced atop the butterfly, the summoned creature flapped its wings and took off to the sky. It was headed for the fringe without having the blonde verbally commanding it as if the two were connected with their minds. Up in the air, Treyni enjoyed the moment of silence as the wind brushed past his clothes. He wore the same militaristic style of clothing in the shade of white, similarly colored gloves covering his hand, black knee-high boots, and the Azure Deer mantle sitting on his shoulders. The butterfly had a decent speed for the flight, almost like his speed when he's running around, so it was no hard maintaining his balance on the butterfly. In the distance, he could see the wasteland that was Fringe growing visible. "I'm almost near now. I wonder what's in store for me." The magic knight spoke his thoughts and continued with the flight.
As soon as the butterfly's figure entered the wasteland, he commanded the summoned to get close to the ground, without actually hitting the earth. There he continued forward for the tower. "Who's that?" He spoke. In the distance, he could make out a figure that almost looked like a girl, due to the longer hair. His eyes narrowed as he watched the figure, cautiously approaching the stranger. She could be one of the rogue mages that were reported invading the dungeon for its riches, or maybe she could be looking for some floras which the male doubted that to be. Getting close to the figure, the Azure Deer knight straightened his posture and held on to the butterfly. His free hand, ready to call on to his grimoire if ever the stranger were to attack him without notice. Treyni would have tried to stop the stranger from advancing into the Fringe when a dust storm picks up in their location. The blonde yelped in surprise, he immediately summoned up his grimoire, the book opened up and he was ready to cast his spell. Unfortunately, the dust storm forced the blonde to free his other hand, letting go of the butterfly in the process. He staggered for a bit, trying to regain his balance as he covered in his eyes simultaneously.
"Damn." He cursed under his breathe and cautiously made his way towards the dust storm. The force of the wind was strong enough to rock the bluebell butterfly. Sam struggled to balance himself, planting his feet firmly on the surface of the butterfly. The summoned creature moved forward, or at least, where it was facing the moment the dust storm picked up. The stranger seemed to have disappeared within the storm, using his vision would also be impossible due to the dust. Later on, for what felt like an eternity enduring the dust storm, it finally weakened until it became non-existent. Delicate fingers made their way towards the butterfly's head, as Treyni slowly recovered from the storm. Was the dust storm caused by the stranger's magic? Either way, that wouldn't matter as he somehow stumbled upon a strange grand structure before him. "Is this the tower?" He thought loudly and he stopped before the lianas. He hopped off from the butterfly and it disappeared as soon Treyni hit the ground. The blonde inspected the flora, caressing them and then gripping it. "Going through without cutting them would be impossible." He concluded and then stood for a moment, finger on his chin. Although his position would be warranted for a surprise attack on the back, Treyni was wise enough to keep track of the mana signatures around him.

[attr="class","athenatext"] To say that today was going to be a normal day for Athena Pendragon would be a lie. After all, it wasn't normal for the earth mage to head into dungeons. After all, she was a member of the church of clover, not some dungeon explorer or a magic knight. However, it seemed that the Azure Deer's had asked if the church could spare a member to help one of their junior mages explore and take note of the flora in a dungeon. It wasn't uncommon for the church to work with the magic knights. After all, the only reason members of the clergy weren't allowed to be magic knights was to limit the power one person could hold at a given time. In all honestly, it made sense to Athena for them to request a church member rather than a magic knight. After all the royal knight exams were coming up soon which meant all the higher ranking knights were focused on getting stronger to deal with that and to prep for the fight with the three major archdeamons. [break][break] Athena still wasn't sure why they sent her sure she was a grand mage in terms of power but she had never been into a dungeon before. Surely there were mages in the church just as strong as she was that had more experience with dungeons than she did. At the end of the day, it didn't matter to her too much as it would gain her some well-needed experience when it came to dungeons in later down the line. Besides if someone needed protected she was going to protect them just like Gnome would. Athena was of course a little nervous this was after all her first time heading into a dungeon. The magic knights had of course given all the information they had on the dungeon to the church which was of course given to her. The other members of the church of course explained that a dungeon of the rank she was set to explore would be no problem for her. Of course when one grows up with stories about the dangers of dungeons they can't help but be a little nervous when being sent into one for the first time. [break][break] She of course could have always said no but she wasn't going to let something like a little bit of nervousness stop her from doing what Gnome and another member of the church would do. Before heading out for the day she still of course had to do her daily task for the church. After all her main job was still that of a sister of the church. The task was pretty simple like cleaning up around the church, helping watch the kids, etc. In all honestly, she was used to it by now they'd been more or less the same task for the past two years. Once the blue-haired women was finally done with her chores and task she would take a quick bath. After that, she would get dressed in her normal out and dry her hair before pulling it into two twin tails. She would then finish up by putting her church Sigil on before grabbing her bow. [break][break] She would then start making her way to the spot the dungeon would be located. After a few hours, the women would arrive however it seemed the magic knight was nowhere in sight. Perhaps he was just running a bit late. After a few minutes passed a sudden sandstorm would take over the area and she could have to close her eyes to keep the sand out of her eyes. Once the storm passed and she opened her eyes not only would she be a few feet away from the entrance of the dungeon but it seemed the magic knight was there as well. Athena would start walking towards him while speaking. I'm Athena Pendragon I'm with the church of clover I assume you're the magic knight I'm to help with the dungeon? Once the mage introduced himself she would walk over to the two and come to the same conclusion the other mage did. She would then pull out her grimoire before casting a spell. [break][break] Earth Magic: Nuriel. As the earth golem appeared next to her the blue-haired mage would mentally order it to tear the lianas off the door so they could head inside. While it was getting to work she could cast another spell this time on the both of them. Earth Magic: Earthly Protection. Armor made out of earth would then appear on the both the mages and the golem would signal that it had removed all the lianas from the door. That spell on you will protect you from damage as well as heal you if you manage to take any damage. Should we head inside now?

Thinking about the way on how to break through the lianas, Treyni was cautious enough to his surrounding as he kept constant check of the mana signatures around him. Normally, he could feel small mana signatures that give an idea for the blonde that they were nowhere stronger when becoming faced against unless they are hiding through another sensory spell that throws out Treyni's sensing capabilities. Not even a regular person would dare to venture out in the Fringe, given that the sand storm that happened earlier. Specks of dust still remained on the magic robes as well as some parts of Treyni's clothing, as a parting gift to what happened before. "It seems, I need to cut down these in order to get --" He spoke already decided his plan of action when he was cut off by a strong mana signature.
The presence of someone strong was too intense that Treyni turned around almost quickly with his grimoire drawn already out, ready to cast a spell. The mana signature was almost akin to a captain of a magic knight. His fight-or-flight system rushing inside his mind. However, as he turned around, with a mixture of fierce and fear in his eyes, his vision took in a woman with blue twin pig-tails hairdo. His eyes immediately scanned her articles of clothing whilst still trying his best not to crumble to such a strong mana signature. His eyes widened upon seeing a similar badge that gives out that she belonged to a church within Clover. His mind registered that such a person coming from the church was not the type to hurt someone, this resulted in his muscles relaxing. The tension that was built up in that flesh was released, Treyni sighing for a bit before straightening up his body, in an authoritative posture.
Before he could even ask her about her name and her business with the Fringe, the blue-haired woman already filled him with the necessary information. So her name was Athena, almost sounding like the fictitious character that he read on some tales before. The last part of the sentence made him question. 'Here to help?' He wondered, his face slowly turning into a confused one. He surely did not send for help when he was back in the Azure Deer. He knew that going to a dungeon would be a far more dangerous task when doing it alone rather in group. With all the happenings back in the kingdom and with some of the knights of his squad becoming busy, it would be inevitable that they sought out some help from the church. Treyni started to understand the situation he was in. "I see. Pardon me for my earlier actions." He spoke in the politeness in his tone while he did a courtesy bow towards Athena. "The name's Treyni Harp. From you could see, I'm from Azure Deer. I thank you for your assistance." The magic knight introduced himself. Although he was acknowledged her to be the person who will accompany him in the dungeon, he was still cautious of her.
With the introductions out of the way, Treyni's body slightly tilted towards the lianas on his back. His grimoire still did not leave his front. "As you can see, these lianas will be a problem going through." He started off talking about the problem before them, his voice held no emotions whatsoever in them. Athena simply answered to his question by summoning a golem that was made of the earth element. Treyni watched in awe at the creation, taking in the huge frame as well as the wings of the back. To him, it almost looked like an angel, save for the undiscernable facial feature. However, all these thoughts and expression changes were hidden behind the mask of a pokerface. If only a person could read Treyni's mind then they would know.
As if acting without the physical command of Athena, the golem started pulling out the lianas away from the entrance of the tower. It's strength was incomparable to Treyni's and just like that, the problem disappeared, leaving the door to the dungeon bare. Before they could proceed towards the door, Athena casted off a protection spell towards him and herself. An armor made of the earth slowly formed around Treyni's body. She then explained the mechanics of the spell. It was a pretty useful spell, to say the least, given the ability to heal as well as to protect someone. "Thank you for this protection, Ms. Athena." He spoke and nodded a little. "As an exchange for this, I'll tell you about my grimoire. The magic that this grimoire holds is that it creates illusions and capable of giving animalistic trait to my body. Though I haven't acquired much spells yet." The feeling of embarrassment leaked from his expression. Though they soon returned back to becoming a pokerface later on.
"Yes we should probably head inside." He confirmed and lead on to the entrance of the dungeon. With his hands covered in glove, he twisted the door open and made himself inside the structure. He also tried to hide his mana signature along the way, so as to not get surprise attack by any creatures or person that may be lurking in the dark. Treyni does not have any information about the dungeon, and it would be wise to take everything into account and be wary of venturing inside. The blonde cautiously stepped onto the surface. Beyond the entrance of the duneon, lies a dimly lit room. Small rays of the light that managed to enter the cracked spaces was the only light source of the area. The temperature of the room gradually became extreme, causing few droplets of sweat to form on the knights forehead. The sound of water was heard as progressed further and when he took another step forward, instead of land he stepped on water. "A swamp?" The knight spoke in a low tone.
As what he had guessed, the ground floor of the dungeon seems to be a swamp of some sort. The natural creatures and the plants that would make it the swamp home would be present. He tried to remember all those things that he experienced, from the lianas down to the temperature of the room. Looking further into the room, was a staircase of some sort. It would looked like it will lead to the upper floor of the dungeon. "That must be the way." He spoked and motioned forward to the room. Having done inspecting the room, Treyni felt that there would be no creatures around in the first floor. It was now safe for the male to use his spell. With the grimoire still floating in his front, the blonde would cast a spell. "Flower Magic: Blooming Map." He raised his right hand a budding flower would appear on top of it. Then, without delay, it's petals opened up until it revealed a three-dimensional map of the dungeon. Although it won't show the floors higher than the ones they are in but it was safe to say that indeed there would be no creatures around except for them. "The room seems to be devoid of any hostile creatures aside from those harmless insects." Treyni motioned and studied the map while moving forward.
The blonde seemed to be too focused on learning the map when he did not notice the sudden change of the surface below him. "Ack!" He yelped in surprise as he started sinking on the soil. With his dominant hand being occupied with the flower map, his left hand attempted to take a hold of the key amulet. The shift in the ground would cause also imbalance to Treyni as he found himself leaning dangerously to the side. He contracted his core muscle in hopes that he would keep himself balanced while his hand still grabbing the key. "H-help!" He managed to say without even thinking about it. It was a matter of survival and his pokerface expression would twist into a more fearful one. Treyni definitely did not expect this to happen and he somehow cursed himself for not being too cautious enough.

[attr="class","athenatext"] As Athena approached the Azure Deer mage the man would turn around with his grimoire. As if he was ready to fight. She couldn't blame him after all there were rumors of Rouges and the such also coming to this place. The earth mage of course wouldn't make her grimoire come to the side as she didn't want to give the other mage the wrong idea. It seemed after a few moments he would come to accept what she said was true. as he spoke to her she would give him a soft smile. It's nice to meet you Treyni. Also, don't worry about it I've heard it can be quite dangerous out here so I don't blame you for being on edge. [break][break] The church member of course took care of the lianas after the man spoke in what seemed like an emotionless tone. As she spoke to her again the blue-haired would just tilt her head a little bit. You can just call me Athena. Also, don't mention it I'm just doing what any other church member would do. As for your magic, I'd be careful with illusions my skills with sensory aren't the best and they could end up affecting me as well. It wasn't long after that the two mages would enter the dungeon.

As the two of them step inside Athena's golem would stay by her side the whole time. She would start to look around a bit as it seemed the only light coming from inside the room was from cracks in the wall. That of course wasn't the only thing as it seemed the room was hotter than it was outside. It even managed to cause her to sweat a little. She was of course mainly scanning the area from anything that would be a threat to their safety. However, she could seem to find anything as she walked further inside with the azure deer mage. It was then that Treyni would cast a spell of his own which seemed to map out the whole room they were currently in. [break][break] He would then confirm that they were in fact alone in this room other than the harmless yet annoying bugs. That's when it happened. Athena could feel her feet starting to sink into the ground. However, it wasn't just her it seemed that Treyni and her golem were having the same problem. At this point, her mind was racing a mile a minute. It was mainly filled with the thought of if this would be where she died or not. Had the others been wrong about how dangerous this dungeon was? Could it have been that in their inexperience they set off an unknown trap that sealed their fate? [break][break] Her mind would then snap back to reality as she heard the Azure deer mage call for help. It was then she would mentally order her golem to fly into the air and pick the two of them up and take them to the staircase. She didn't know if it would work but it was better than just giving up and sinking to the ground. Luckily her golem seemed to get out of the soil just fine. Athena being the closer of the two mages would get picked up first before it took ahold of Treyni and flew the two of them to safety. It would then softly set them back onto solid ground. Treyni are you okay to keep going? The earth mage, of course, knew physically he was fine as her spell didn't take any damage but mentally it could have been too close for him. Assuming he was good to keep going Athena would speak again this time to her Golem. Nuriel attacking anything that's not Treyni or myself. The golem would then nod its head to show it understood after all it wasn't like it could speak back.

Floor One Room One Unexpected things come at such an unfavorable location. The soil below Treyni's legs slowly pulled the poor magic knight below, as if it was some kind of a quick sand. He struggled even to the point of calling for help. He raised his hand just in case, with the map made from the flower still existant on his dominant hand. Thankfully, a strong hand reached out on his delicate ones. He was pulled off from the loose soil with ease. He looked up to his savior and saw the golem that Athena has created. A sense of relief flooded the knight's face. His breathing pattern slowly become stable again and all that was left was the wetness on the bottom part of his pants. He looked back to where he was before. 'I wasn't too cautious, I caused myself and Athena great harm.' He thought with a downcast gaze.
When they were placed back on a solid ground, a sigh of relief would escape from the blonde's lips. His eyes looked at the golem, then towards Athena. "Thank you for saving me. I don't know what would happen to me if it weren't for you." He spoke with a little smile on his face, the pokerface expression that he held for so long disappeared. He did a slight bow before straightening his body. He regained his composure back, as seen with his posture exuding confidence. Although he was still shaken from the experience before. Before they could continue upward from the stairs, Athena asked Treyni if he wanted to keep going. Then looking at how far they've come from the entrance of the dungeon up until to the staircase, he nodded towards the blue-haired female. "Sure. I need to experience this to become a better magic knight." He expressed his thoughts. "Let's go?" He offered to his savior before they headed upwards to the limestone staircase.
The staircase itself was slippery and Treyni had to hold on to something to at least balance himself. The map that was on his dominant hand, slowly changing it's appearance as they ascended towards the second floor. He stopped midway, not fully entering the second floor and turned back to the earth mage and her golem. Treyni motioned his map towards them as a new figure would be seen on his map along with the general appearance of the first room of the second floor. Treyni slowly inched towards the two as he explained his spell. "My spell allows me to create a map and see the creatures." He started in a very low tone, almost like a whisper. "The creature here," He pointed towards a group of snail-like creatures with a flower that had 1 petal on top of it. "It is positioned on an upper portion of the room, it may be completely hidden from those who do not expect it. The flower with 1 petal on it denotes it mana signature. 1 petal would mean that they are not that strong." He explained further, still staying at the same volume. If Athena, were to inspect the map further, she would see their figure standing on the staircase with a flower and the corresponding petals. "It would be best if we surprise them first." He finally spoke before slowly moving to the room.
Floor Two Room One The first room of the second floor would be a cave. However, Treyni jotted down the locations of each of the creatures that resides in the room. He knew that they will in the upper part of the room, so he was more cautious when treading on the ground. Without delay, he summoned up his grimoire to his side, pages flipping along the way. He knew that he could not deal as much damage as the golem that Athena but he was confident that he could at least make a small distraction for the creatures. The grimoire stopped flipping and stopped on the exact page of the book. “Flower Magic: Treant Eyes.” The knight exclaimed and almost immediately, a flurry of petal orirginating from Treyni would fill the room. However, they soon dissipated into nothingness. In the eyes of the snail-like creatures, they would soon find trees around the cave. Each having eyes that looked as if they wanted to be saved by them. They would also find out that their allies’ face would turn into a huge gaping mouth. It was a pure horror sight to behold.
Seeing the change of the appearance of the room and the look on their comrades, the snail mushroom were alerted and panicked. Pink lianas appeared from them and stretched, attempting to hit at the trees. To them, the strange trees were the trespassers of their territory. Treyni moved back to Athena. “I think my spell distracted them, but it would not be too long. I believe it's time to show them.” He asked the blue-haired female with determination in his eyes. A slapping sound would also be heard somewhere around the cave as the lianas from the snail mushroom would lash out at nothing but the solid wall of the cave. Although it would be a different story to the creatures, as they think that they were hitting the trees. Athena and her golem, on the other hand, would feel as though nothing has changed. They were simply excluded from the effects of the illusion.

The flower appears closed when it is the first cast, it will then bloom, revealing a detailed three-dimensional map of the area covered within the range. It will show any hidden traps, treasures, passageways, or a person. They will be represented in the map accordingly, a literal treasure chest for treasures, a bear trap for hidden traps, a humanoid figure for a person, and more follows. Moreover, it will show mana signatures through an accurate representation of a flower, the more petals the flower has, the stronger the mana signature is, for example, 1 for Junior, 2 for Intermediate, 3 for Senior, 4 for Grand, and 5 for Archmage. However, it will not show any creatures be it a human or not, that hides their mana signature via any method that they use. It would make it hard for people to see through them. However, that was not the real spell. The flurry of petals will soon subside and when it does, the ground that they will be in will look as if nothing happened for some reason. However, they will notice oddly shaped trees suddenly appearing randomly across the field. Aside from that, the people under this illusion will also see that these trees will have human-like eyes that carry desperate expressions as if they were pleading for them to release him. When looking at their comrades and other people, the affected person will notice that their nose and eyes are replaced with a huge menacing mouth. The spell will try to tap into the fear of those affected and will exclude allies from being under them as per the ammo rules. While the range of the spell is quite far-reaching, Treyni has the ability to shrink the range of the spell to a number below the maximum. However, changing the range does not boost nor decrease the potency of the spell.[break][break]In order to see through the illusion, the affected person must possess 15 sensory plus 2 for every 15 control that Treyni will have. If a sensory mage were to use a spell that will reveal the illusion, the sensory requirement will be lessened by 2 for every 10 sensory the opposing mage has. Naturally, the spell's sensory requirement will also decrease by 2 when it is being sustained.

[attr="class","athenatext"] The earth mage would listen as the azure deer mage thanked her for saving him before bowing to her slightly. Athena honestly wasn't use to it after all it was like she was a noble or something. The blue-haired mage would also notice that Treyni's facial had changed now. Perhaps it meant he trusted her a bit more now? Regardless Athena would just return the smile. Everyone needs a little help sometimes. I'm just glad none of us actually got hurt. [break][break] It was good to see that the blonde-haired mage was fine to keep going as he asked Athena if they should go the woman would just nod her head. She would follow close behind him with her own golem following right next to her. She would look at Treyni's map as he explained more about how it worked. She of course would also try to make a mental note of where all the mana beast were. However, she had a feeling that once they started fighting they wouldn't be in the same spots still. [break][break] Floor Two Room One [break] As soon as the two mages stepped into the new cave the azure deer mage would waste no time casting his own spell. From what the church member could tell it didn't affect her or the golem she had at all. However, she would watch as the mana beast started attack what she could only see as thin air. The room would soon start to kill with toxic gas luckily her defense spell would keep both her and Treyni safe from the damage and it would soon start to repair itself. However, her golem wasn't as lucky and would take the full intermediate damage now looking a little worse for wear. However, Athena would waste no time telling it mentally to start taking out the mana beast. Neuriel would waste no time making it to the first mana beast before punching the snail-like creature easily killing the mana beast. [break][break] While to was moving onto the second snail that was on the ground the earth mage would take the bow off her back. This might have confused Treyni at first as after all she didn't have a quiver or any arrows with her. However, she would then aim her bow at one of the mana beasts that was still on the wall. She would then pull the string back and as she did a pure white arrow made out of pure aura would appear in between her fingers. She would then let the arrow loose as the mana beast was getting ready to attack her golem. The arrow would find its mark by and went right through the mana beast killing it as it dropped to the floor. The second mana beast that the golem attacked wouldn't last too much longer than the first one. [break][break] It at least managed to get off an attack however the earth golem was simply too fast and would avoid the attack. It would then take hold of the mana beast with all for arms before tearing it in half. Athena would once again take aim at a snail that was still on the wall. However this time it was aiming for her and not the golem. She would let her arrow loose at the same time as the mana beast attacked her. The blue-haired mage would try to move and while she was faster than the attack it seemed she waited for just a little too long and its lianas would slam into her earth armor but the spell was too strong for the mana beast to even damage it. Her arrow on the other hand would kill the mana beast only leaving six left. [break][break] The six mana beast were all on the ground swarming her golem now. It and Athena managed to put up a good fight with it killing two of them by punching them and one by crushing it with its foot. Athena would take out the fourth one with another shot with her bow killing it. However, the last two snails would manage to get off an attack each on her golem during that finishing it off. They would then turn their focus back to the blue-haired women. She would then fire off another arrow before they got in range of her killing the ninth mana beast. The final one would try and hit her with its lianas however this time the earth mage would roll out of the way. [break][break] She would then shoot another arrow killing the final mana beast. After the fighting was over she would open her grimoire again casting her golem spell. Earth Magic: Nuriel As the golem appeared back at its side she would give it a slight smile. You put up a good fight but they managed to get you in the end huh? She of course knew the golem couldn't really understand what she was saying as it wasn't something basic. However, she liked to believe sometimes that it actually could. You're orders are to attack anything except for me and Treyni. It would once again nod its head and Athena would turn her gaze to the blonde mage. Let's keep moving, shall we?

As soon as Treyni had casted his spell on the mushroom snails, the mana beast in return also released some kind of a toxic gas. The Azure Deer froze up slightly, his eyes darting to each side finding ways to blow away the gas. To his dismay, it was too strong and it managed to reach him. Luckily, the earth armor that Athena had casted on him before would be the one who will be in contact with the gas. It started to corrode on the earth armor, but it wasn’t too deep. He was saved by the church member’s spell. A sigh of relief escaped his lips as the male looked at Athena and her golem. With his spell, distracting the mana beast from focusing their attacks on them, Athen and her golem to the action as quickly as they could.
Her golem would be too fast and it was hard for Treyni to keep up. The male was surprised as to how a golem of that size could be able to move faster than him. ‘H-how?’ The mage thought with an awe. With a single punch, the golem seemed to have crushed the smaller mushroom small into pulp. Treyni shuddered at the thought of the strong pressure that those fist contain versus the weaker shell of those mana beasts. Liquids of whichever color of the blood of those snails would be spattered on the ground. Athena would also join in the fray and chose to be attacking in the distance. Treyni would think that she will use her grimoire for this attack but turns out that she will be using a bow which was on her back. ‘Why wouldn’t she use an attack spell? The smaller size of those mushroom snails would be hard to pinpoint by using only a bow.’ Treyni analyzed in his mind and silently watched Athena pull on the strings of the bow. Much to his surprise, an arrow made of pure aura slowly formed.
Athena released the strings, Treyni on the back side, followed the trail of the projectile that seemingly went forward to the top part of the room. The elf watched his map as the snail miniature with the flower on top would disappear on the map. “You took out two of them.” Treyni muttered under his breath and his gaze shifted back to the earthly golem. The two of them did not seem to want to relax nor even give a little room for those snails to breathe. They continued with their onslaught of attacks. The golem managed to punch down a snail again, a visible cracking sound would be heard across the room as the shell broke down to pieces. Treyni watched Athena attack with her bow again but this time the snail seems to be also tageting her. It must have known that going against the golem would be futile due to it much stronger than them so they opted to which they saw as weaker. Of course, they were in the wrong as an arrow went through the snail. Although the snail managed to hit the earthly mage but it was not enough to actually hurt her, the armor was enough to soak in the damage.
Treyni on the other hand, felt that he was much useless during this fight. He watched his map as the snails slowly disappeared. Six of them would remain on the map and on the battlefield as well. The golem seems to have taken damage from the exchange of attacks but it was still miraculous standing like the earth that it was molded from. Everything seems to be going so fast, with Athena and the golem killing snails one by one. However, the snails seemed to have managed to find a solution to their problem when they focused their attack on the golem. The attack was enough to crack the golem, then ultimately it fell down. Their victory would be cut short with Athena killing the ninth snail, leaving only one to fight her. With the fight-or-flight scenario, if Treyni was on the snails side, he would rather choose to flee from the attacker if he had the chance to do so. However, the snail was too reckless and attacked Athena thinking that it would do much against her strength. She managed to shoot an arrow at the snail ending its life.
After she stopped her attacks, Treyni would inspect his map again for any signs of life in the room. He only spotted nothing else besides the two of them. “It looked like you killed them all.” He spoke calmly and watched Athena summon up her golem once again. The mighty earth construct stood before them, with its strong presence pulsing towards Treyni. The blue-haired female would then instruct her golem just like before, she then spoke to the elf. “Sure thing.” He replied and nodded towards her way. Along the way, there would be countless different-colored blood splatters on the ground. It somehow painted the cave a different hue other than brown. Even though Treyni felt that he was nothing more than an accessory to the fight before, he still managed to keep them inside.
Floor Two, Room Two When they slowly approached the second room of the floor, his map would slowly change to a different appearance. In this room, there was an abundance of life as compared to the cave. There were towering trees, huge mushroom plants growing and bodies of water located in the room. There also creatures that has a miniature that was somehow familiar to the magic knight. “Are these…?” His voice trailed off when they entered the second room. They were quickly met with creatures whose names Treyni couldn’t pronounce well. He jogged his memory and remembered that these creatures were extinct. “Let us be careful with handling these creatures.” He spoke with his vision not leaving the mana beast before them. “These are extinct mana beast from ancient times and it would be a great discovery to the Clover Kingdom if we manage to knock them off and be able to bring at least 2 of them.” He explained to the blue-haired female.
While Treyni was explaining, the Falkhasaur would not wait as one of them launched itself to the elf with its jaw wide open. The Azure Deer magic knight would gasp and immediately, his grimoire flew open as he casted his spell, “Flower Magic: Nature’s Reach!” Violet lilacs flourished on the mage’s hand as it slowly turned it into a violet’s appendage. However, the Falkhasaur managed to bit down on the hand that held the map, the map disappeared completely. Clenching his fist, Treyni would not opt to slash at the extinct creature but rather focused on blunt attacks. The fist on his free hand would fly towards the side of the creature’s face. The other Falkhasaur reacted with this and quickly came to the rescue of their allies. His fist connected with the creature’s face as it opened its mouth, freeing his hand along the way. Not wasting the momentum, Treyni punched the already damaged Falkhasaur in the gut and used enough force to hurl it towards his allies.
The others, on the other hand, jumped to the side as they dodged the oncoming unconscious body. The others stopped midway, however there was one of the Falkhasaur that was already on the side and it was coming in hot. Instead of using it's bite attacks, the mana beast strikes with its claws. Treyni on the other hand, managed to sidestep the attack, but not completely as the sharp claws managed to graze the earth armor. The elf did not waste time though as purple fist sent flying towards the side of the assailant, aiming for its face. The punch connected well, resulting into the Falkhasaur sent to the side. While it was still rolling, Treyni followed suit and delivered one last punch to its gut before it could even reach its claws to strike. The body went limp as it became unconscious. This time though others managed to recover from the magic knight's improv ranged attack and with their speed, they quickly closing the distance between them. Although he knew that Athena's golem and her accurate shots would be enough to eliminate them all. Aside from that, he prayed on his mind that those two remember what Treyni spoke about at least keeping two of them unconscious so they can present it to the research department of the Clover Kingdom.

[attr="class","athenatext"] Athena would just nod her head as the Azure deer mage spoke about how she killed all of them. If he was surprised she really couldn't blame him after all she was a member of the church and didn't look like she'd be that deadly in combat. In all honestly, she wasn't after all if you took away her bow and golems she'd be useless as an attack mage in any fight. Her defense and supportability now that was a different question altogether. Seeing as they were ready Athena would follow Treyni onto the next room.
[break][break]
Floor Two Room Two
[break]
The next room of the dungeon was a whole lot different than the room they came from. It really helped show the earth mage just how strange dungeons could be. After all, it wasn't normal for ecosystems to change this much in such a short walk. Yet here she was looking at the changes and it was hard, No impossible to deny what she was seeing. Her attention would then focus on Treyni as he started to speak. It was almost like he was trying to remember something on the tip of his tongue yet he couldn't. Athena herself of course couldn't help him after all this was their first time meeting each other. [break][break] However, it didn't take long for him to remember and tell her and it would seem that it was very important. She would simply nod her head to show that she understood what he meant. However, she wouldn't tell her golem to make sure it knocked to of them out as it was a little more complex of an order than she normally gave her golem and didn't want to confuse it. Such was the downside of golems at times however it was better than having no way to attack with at all so she was fine with living with that. Once the fighting started she didn't have much time to focus on the azure deer mage but she knew her defense spell would keep the junior mage safe. Her golem would get to work doing exactly what it was told. It would run over to Treyni moving in front of him as run of the Falkhasaur would try to attack the azure deer mage with a bite. However, it would soon feel the fist of the earth golem connecting with its skull killing it outright. [break][break] The golem would then turn to look back at the blonde mage almost as if it was looking to make sure he was okay. Athena on the other hand would focus on the mana beast Treyni had already attacked but not knocked out yet. She would once again pull her bow back shooting an arrow into the leg of the mana beast not killing it but knocking it out. That's two knocked out we can kill the rest now. This was mainly just a reminder to herself. As another mana beast rushed her the blue-haired mage would shoot another arrow which found its mark however it wasn't enough to kill the mana beast. It would manage to claw her armor but it was strong for the mana beast to even harm it. This of course gave Athena enough time to shoot another arrow into its eye this time killing the mana beast. [break][break] That would leave just over half of the mana beast left. Her golem would then rush towards the next two mana beast. The first one would manage to bite its leg before the golem before Nuriel would stomp down on its skull. The second one would manage to claw the golem before it got grabbed in all four of the golem's arms and ripped apart. Athena knowing that her golem wasn't long for this world anymore she would use her control to make a second Nuriel. She would give it the same order mentally as she did the first one. She would fire two arrows one after another at the seventh mana beast running at her. Since she wasn't used to firing her bow so fast the first shot would miss. [break][break] However, the second shot would strike its side. However, the mana beast would manage to bite her leg. Her first reaction was to try and shake it off even though it was unable to break her armor. However, its grip was too strong and Athena would end up sending an arrow through its head killing it. Her first and almost dead golem would then go after the eighth mana beast. The two would connect with each other and actually kill each other. While Athena was busy with the mana beast she just fought a Falkhasaur would manage to sneak up behind her. [break][break] However her now only remaining golem would catch the mana beast out of the air slamming it onto the ground before stomping on it twice. The final remaining mana beast would try its luck with Treyni. However, Athena would fire off two arrows and luckily both would find their mark this time striking the mana beast in the side killing it. She would then walk back to Treyni. We should leave the two knocked out one here until we finish up with this place. That way we can have my golems carry them back. If you're fine with that I'll let you lead the way.

[attr=class, cyrustext]It wasn't often that Cyrus traveled to the reaches of the Fringe, with the Vice Captain usually keeping his patrols to his homeland of the Forsaken Region and what lie between it and the Royal Capital where the Golden Dawn's base of operations were located. Today would likely not be any different, were it not for being contacted by his sister Alexandra.
Alexandra was a member of the Church of Clover, and was specifically a follower of Gnome; though she herself was blessed with fire-based magic, she kept to the teachings of the Earth spirit due to sharing in the respect and use of defensive techniques. Cyrus himself was of a similar mind, preferring to defend if possible while commanding his golems to deal with threats as they come. As far as the Rising Dawn was concerned, his job as a Magic Knight and a citizen of Clover was first and foremost to defend her people.
Which brings us to today, with Cyrus walking through a vicious storm of dust that seemed as though it had begun by magic; and given his destination, that was likely the case. Alexandra had contacted him with regards to the Ancient Tower of Quinteps, a dungeon that had sprung up fairly recently in this area. Apparently a fellow follower of Gnome had been sent to assist a young Magic Knight in his ascent of the dungeon, but had yet to return. His sister vouched for the strength of Athena, the church member in question, noting that it was strange that she had yet to return.
Cyrus was happy to help, though the approach to the dungeon in question was a fair bit rougher than he had expected. Currently his face was partially shielded by his scarf, keeping the dust storm from invading his mouth and nose but still blinding him as he made his way forward. "Not the most scenic of places, is it?" Asked his spirit companion Hama through their mental connection, happily tucked away between the pages of her partner's grimoire. Just because Cy had to suffer the storm didn't mean that she had to, after all!
Cyrus grunted out loud in response, trying to focus on what was in front of him. His ki senses weren't of much use in such a barren landscape, so his eyes were the only thing he had to go off of.
It wasn't much longer, thankfully, that he would need to deal with the sand and silt. He felt the grains slowly easing on his face, and once it completely stopped he breathed a sigh of relief as he removed his scarf from around his face, returning it to his bag. "There it is, Hama." He said, wasting no time in walking up to the tall structure. His friend saw fit to emerge now that the air was clear, whistling at the tall structure. "Not quite as glamorous as that ice place last winter, but it's got its charm!" She joked while her partner studied the entrance. There were lianas all around the building, and it seemed as though they were meant to be in front of the opening to the dungeon as well. Meant to, but weren't.
"These branches were forcefully removed. Probably by Athena's party, I would guess." He noted, spotting how the branches were broken. Hama peered inside. "So start climbing, I guess?" She asked. Cyrus nodded, dropping the branch he had picked up and taking his first steps inside.
[F1]
Within moments of passing the threshold, Cyrus could already feel the typical oddities that tended to make themselves known within dungeons. Some were like simple fortresses, while others were almost like living things. This particular dungeon seemed to have some sort of self-contained ecosystem. The air was hot and muggy, prompting Cyrus to unbutton his shirt a bit to improve the airflow, though he kept his mantle on over it. Better, but not by much. If it weren't for the fact that this was a dungeon, which could house any number of tricks and traps, he would have removed it as well. But he would take the extra layer of protection over a bit of discomfort.
He looked around as his eyes adjusted to the new light; there were cracks in the walls allowing some rays of the sun to seep into the room (or perhaps they could be producing light on their own; one could never truly know in a dungeon), and he could hear the sound of running water in the distance. As he walked further in he noticed the sound of buzzing, realizing that there were bugs flying around. A staircase lay on the opposite end of the room, but he noticed no bodies, blood, or other such signs of a recent battle in the area. Nor could he sense anything besides the bugs with his ki. Cautiously he stepped forward again... and only then did he realize the simple elegance of this dungeon's first true obstacle.
"Tricky blighter." He muttered quietly, though Hama could tell he was more annoyed at the slight inconvenience than truly worried; after all, from what the reports had said the dungeon was a suitable destination for beginner dungeon divers; it wouldn't be anything he couldn't handle so long as he kept an even temper.
Cyrus looked around himself for something, and noticed some more of the lianas that had decorated the exterior of the dungeon. "Those look sturdy enough." He mused, reaching up to grab one directly overhead. He bounced a little bit to test the strength of the wood, and once he was certain it would fully support his weight, he pulled himself up out of the mud and climbed up to stand on top of the branch.
He lucked out; the branch he picked was quite long. Long enough to get him the rest of the way through the room, in fact. He balanced his way across the limb, hopping down to the limestone platform below once he was over it. Hama snickered as he brushed off his sleeves while walking towards the staircase upwards. "You missed a spot, Cy!" She pointed out, indicating his now muddy boots. He rolled his eyes but let out a chuckle. "Better my boots than the people we're here to check in on. Come on, Hama. There'll be time for jokes later."
Hama nodded but gave her typical faux-salute; a practiced gesture whenever she was given some sort of order or instruction.
[F2]
Slippery stairs weren't enough of an obstacle to stop the Golden Dawn wizard from climbing the tower, but the offending odor that awaited him at the top of the flight was almost enough to make him need to take a second trip up. He lifted his mantle up a bit to cover his nose, reaching out with his ki senses once again. And once more he felt no presences... at least, no living presences, as he came to see. The corpses of strange, snail-like creatures dotted the room, as well as bones from what were likely more mundane animals. "Two rooms down, I guess?" Hama asked, covering her own mouth and nose with her hands. Cyrus looked towards the opening leading deeper within. "And however many more to go."
The powerful stench that had so permeated the air around the pair seemed to weaken as they reached the next chamber, where the roof was destroyed. The heat, however, was even greater than before, as he looked down into the lake below. Steam was rising from the water, and the mushrooms and trees around them certainly seemed to agree with whatever conditions made up this room of the dungeon.
"I think we're getting close, Cy." Hama noted, pointing down at the bodies of several creatures below. Cyrus made his way deeper into the room, kneeling beside one of the corpses. "These... these are falkhasaurs!" He realized as he got a closer look, recognizing the structure of the mana beast's head and feather pattern from his research into mana beasts. "These guys are supposed to have died off way... way long ago." He trailed off, knowing from experience that Hama wouldn't care about the specific length of time. But it made his thoughts race; were dungeons around that long ago? Or were these like recreations? Could they and other extinct species be creatures who escaped from those supposed ancient dungeons? On closer inspection, two of the creatures were still alive. Perhaps the previous party wanted to study them closer? He would certainly understand why!
But Hama was right; they had to be close. The tower was only so tall, after all, and anything too long wouldn't be suitable for a beginner Magic Knight like the one the follower of Gnome had been sent to assist.
And, as he thought, there she was; a young woman with striking blue hair worn in a pair of large pigtails was over by the path leading deeper into the dungeon. Waiting. Cyrus stood up and made his way over, smiling at the sight; from what he could see, she had sustained no serious harm, which was a good thing. "Hello there. Are you alright?" Cyrus greeted her, holding out a hand to offer a warm shake if she was willing. His grimoire was already floating beside him, ready to cast a healing spell if it was necessary. "My name is Cyrus Elwood; you may know my elder sister, Alexandra, from the Church of Gnome? I believe your name is Athena, correct? Athena Pendragon? A pleasure to meet you!"
Hama waved at the girl from her usual perch on Cyrus' shoulder, grinning. "Hiya! I'm Hama, the spirit of sap! Nice to meetcha!"
Whether the girl accepted his handshake or not, Cyrus would take a look around. "I was told that you were here assisting an up and coming Magic Knight of the Azure Deer. Alexandra spoke highly of your strength, so she felt that your absence has been overlong. Did something happen?" He doubted something had happened to the young knight; the only place he might have missed a body would have been in the first chamber with the sinking mud, and given that her entire purpose for being here was to assist him, the idea that he had died so early on only for her to continue this far seemed unlikely. He had no idea of her dungeon experience; all he really knew from his sister was Athena's name and that she was strong.

[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol found himself in a rather interesting situation at current, he had left the ancient tower in the fringe a good while ago but now he could not help but feel a nagging wonder if those two crimson lions had managed to get thru it or if they were still lost, the blood mage had no issue with the young man Taiyo but the man Leonard wasnt the brightest in the box, so against his better judgement the ruby eyed young man was not on his way back to the fringe to see if they were there and if so drag them back home so that way they were safe and wouldnt get themselves killed. As he reached the entrance to the fringe the noble saw a sandstorm approaching and he remembered that before he had to cover his eyes so he covered them the best he could and carefully made his way thru the storm being sure to avoid being attacked by something or falling to his doom, it wasnt long until he managed to get himself to where he had been before as the storm faded and he found himself standing before the ancient tower once again.”part of me wishes I wasnt here again but I have no choice I need to make sure those two idiots didnt bite off too much here not only that.” he said as he felt the very slight pull towards the tower and it was something he couldent explain but he would know as he went deeper in. [break][break] as he quickly reached over to where the entrance was he saw that the vines had grown over but yet someone had cut them and he wondered who could have done that.”could there be more then just myself here I suppose I'll learn soon enough” he muttered to himself as he stepped thru and with a mental command his grimoire floated out of its holster and opened to a spell. Before the blood mage got out of the entryway he formed a sphere if blood as it moved and shifted into his blood countess, the golem took fool form as it gained its tendrils and its vicious claws as it hovered in the air, the blood mage grabbed onto the construct as it floated over the quicksand on the floor and to the stairs that would lead upwards and farther up the tower. Sol kept a grip on the golem as it went up the stairs levitating and avoiding the slippery stairs.”So far I dont see those two idiots bodies so thats a good sign so far lets hope they still live” he muttered to himself as he managed to get to the top of the stairs and he hopped off the blood countess as he saw the remains of the snail creatures lurking all around the room already slain and rotting on the ground as well as the other remains on the ground as well. While the chances of them dieing from the quicksand was slim it was still a possiblity but so far it didnt seem to be the case. [break][break] “Ugh the smell is just as bad as ever but I need to keep moving forward at least I dont seen any crimson lion mantles on the ground yet so they didnt fumble at some point still the fact that the big headed idiot Griswold ditched at this spot still irratates me something fierce.” he said to himself as he went thru the hole with his construct and got hit by a blast of heat.”ah this it where I separated from them the last time and so far it doesnt look like they are here so far” he muttered before he saw the bodies of the falkhasaurs and he blinked as he looked at the beasts.”these things seem like they are from an age long fogotten its amazing to see something like this.” he said to himself as he then spotted footsteps on the ground and he noticed that they were fresh.'if they are fresh that means someone else is here and judging from the steps they only just recently were here so I can catch up if im lucky and so far still no sign of those two lions' he surmised mentally as he felt that pull from the entrance of the tower getting stronger. It made the blood mage wonder what else was lurking in here and if it was something perhaps connected to himself, it was the only thing that the noble could think of that would have led him back here. [break][break] Quickly moving forward Sol was still rather stunned by how this tower had such different forms of life inside of it, from the odd snail like creatures he encountered last time to these beasts that seemed to be from a completely different age the noble could think to compare it to a time capsule that had trapped a piece of ancient history inside it and preserved it. It honestly stunned the young man but also made him very wary of the things inside since while they needed to be protected and studied they also were dangerous and potentially life threatening to those that had stepped into this tower such as himself. Sol also was pulled into the memory if his last visit here that ended terribly since the one called Griswold had ditched them due to not being able to work in a team and left them to fend for themselves. Then it was made worse when he lost track of both of his other team members leaving him with no choice but to retreat. It was something that still stung Sol slightly since he hadnt wanted to give up but at the same time trying to get thru this on his own was not something that was a bright idea and could actually result in a death of himself and he wasnt about to be that foolish. The result of having to retreat also made Sol rather wary about teaming up with others since while he had no problems working on a team the chance of someone disregarding logic or going off on there own often irratated him something fierce and that wouldnt be changing anytime soon. [break][break] A few moments later Sol caught sight of two figures ahead of him and he slowed his movement to a walking pace and his golem followed suit by staying behind him slightly and hoevering at the ready. Once he was within speaking range he gained a small smile and called out to the two.”I thought those tracks back there were fresh I hope your both doing ok” he said as he would get closer to the two stopping around 6 feet away from both of them before he would bow respectfully.”my apologies for not introducing myself my name is Sol Shinryu its a pleasure to meet you both” he said before deciding to explain why he was here.” I came here once before but had to escape due to being seperated from my team I came back to see if they made it out and also theres something here thats calling to me I cant exactly explain it” he said as he rubbed the back of his head. “would you mind if I accompany you two id like to see if my former team mates are still here and perhaps see whats at the top of this tower” he requested his tone was humble and he hoped they agreed. The golem would remain by Sol just hovering and remaining nonthreatening since it had yet to be given any other orders then to remain. [break][break] Looking at both of them Sol could tell that the man from Golden Dawn based on his mantle was exceedingly powerful and despite his sensory being less then steller the ruby eyed noble senses this man was one to be respected though he did seem rather kind, the blood mage then caught sight of the little spirit on his shoulder and he blinked in surprise since he had never really seen a spirit like that. Sol had seen a bigger spirit in the form of Salamander which was partnered with captain Ardere, the blue haired girl beside him seemed to be perhaps a tad less powerful but none the less was much stronger then him. It made the noble wonder what kind of magics they wielded but he could always enquire about that later for now they needed to keep moving forward and with these two Sol was far more confident then last time that he could actually reach the top of the tower and seen what had been reason for exploration in the first place. The blood mage got the feeling that there wasent even that much more to go so they would just need to press onward and finish this quickly, the pull on him from this tower kept getting stronger and it was making the noble slightly more anxious then before. [attr="class","athenatext"] It seemed that Treyni wouldn't be moving onto the next floor as the azure deer mage would tell the Athena that he was being called back to base. Which she didn't have a problem with after all it was probably something important if they called him back in the middle of a dungeon. Perhaps they thought it was taking too long after all the two mages had been in the dungeon for a few hours now. Either way, it left the earth mage on her own and unsure what to do. After all, she was told to help the azure deer mage through the dungeon which he no longer needed. Did that mean she was supposed to leave as well or should she have finished the dungeon for the both of them. The young woman would stand in the same spot and think about what she should do for a long while. [break][break] However, she would nearly jump out of her own skin as a voice spoke out to her. Her golem however was quick to act running to attack the unknown mage however Athena would spot the golden dawn mantle on the mage in question. Nuriel stop he's a friend. With that the golem would stop moving towards Cyrus and made its way back to Athena. After getting a good look at the golden dawn mage Athena was able to tell it was Cyrus Elwood and the vice-captain of the golden dawn even before he spoke his name. After all, he was quite a famous person in clover. Athena would shake the other mage's hand as she spoke. Yup I'm Athena Pendragon and sorry about the golem I told it to attack anyone but myself and the Azure Deer mage Treyni. [break][break] What surprised the earth mage the most was he was actually there to check up on her at the request of Alexandra who was another follower of Gnome. The other woman was also a close friend of Athena. Yeah I know your older sister vice-captain Cyrus. We're actually close friends which might be why she asked you to check on me. I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble. The earth mage's gaze would then shift to Hama and her eyes would light up at the sight of a spirit in person which was the first time she'd saw one herself. However, her focus would switch back to the vice-captain. [break][break] Nothing bad happened to him. He got called back to the azure deer base. I'm surprised you guys didn't run into each other on his way out. Athena was about to ask what they should do next before another mage showed up and spoke up giving his name to the two mages and why he was here. It's nice to meet you Sol my name's Athena Pendragon. As for the question that's up to the vice-captain as I don't know if we're allowed to be here.

[break][break]
Assuming that Cyrus said that could keep going further into the dungeon Athena would take the lead if the other two mages allowed it. As they were walking Athena would use her control pushing it to the limits to give both Cyrus and Sol a copy of earthly protection. She of course knew the golden dawn mage was more skilled in defense magic than she was but she already had the spell cast and so it'd save the sap mage some mana. As they were walking in the next room Athena would look over at the lake while watching her step as well. Nuriel would then point one of its arms at the lake as if it was trying to tell its master something was in the lake not that the earth mage was able to tell that. She would however walk over to her golem and where it was pointing. It was then the hidden mana beast would jump out of the water to strike. [break][break] It would use its tail to send Athena's golem flying back into a wall. It would then bite down on Athena causing the girl to let out a scream of surprise. However, it wasn't able to break her armor would give up throwing her into the wall. The impact would leave her dazed but otherwise unhurt. Nuriel attack that mana beast. The creature would then turn its focus to the other two mages.

[attr=class, cyrustext]When Cyrus had called out to Athena in the hopes of exchanging greetings, he wasn't really expecting that the response he would get would be a four-armed golem charging towards him with the intent to smash. Fortunately (probably moreso for the golem itself than for the ever durable Vice Captain), Athena was able to call it off before the statuesque golem could go through with its attack.
Athena quickly apologized for her golem's aggression, explaining why it had done so. She did this while accepting his handshake, which would have certainly improved Cyrus' mood after the near attack, had he been concerned about it at all in the first place. She confirmed her identity as the one he was here to check on, also confirming that she knew his sister. At this remark he smile and nodded. "Well, once again, it is a pleasure to meet you Lady Pendragon." He said, now that the pleasantries were less likely to be interrupted by an earthen elemental. "Ah, and just Cyrus is fine, if you prefer. I'm not much for being on the receiving end of formalities, heh. And don't worry, it was no trouble at all! I'm just glad to see that you're unharmed."
The blue-haired girl continued, explaining about how she had been here with a newer member of the Azure Deer when he was unexpectedly called back to their headquarters for some reason. And though he had already suspected that the young knight was fine, he still breathed a small sigh of relief to have it confirmed for him. "I see. Glad to hear that both of you are safe, then. Did you intend to finish this little dungeon dive?"
As the two of them spoke, he was surprised to sense the approach of a third ki signature from the direction he had came. The young man explained his reason for being here, and Cyrus hummed thoughtfully at his request to join them. Athena left the decision to the Golden Dawn member, who nodded. "I think that will be fine, of course. Safety in numbers, after all. Cyrus Elwood, by the way. What say we continue on then, eh?"
[F2R3 - 650 wc]
With the decision to continue onward unanimous, Athena volunteered to take the lead as they continued deeper into the tower. She saw fit to extend her protective spell to he and Sol, a gesture that was appreciated if not entirely necessary. Hama rode on his shoulder as per usual, looking at the golems that the other two mages had conjured up. Try as she might to distance herself from her partner's tendencies, even she had begun to develop a fascination for the magical constructs after seeing them in action almost every day since they first met.
"It's so weird how much variety there is with golem shapes." She noted, not really speaking to anyone in particular. More like she was just trying to fill the brief silence.
They wouldn't have too much time for conversation however, as they approached the next chamber. There was a rather imposing lake within, and he noticed Athena's golem pointing towards the water. Knowing from experience to trust the judgement of his own golems, Cyrus made sure that his grimoire was ready and prodded in the same direction with his ki, sensing a large body beneath the surface of the lake.
Athena approached where her golem had indicated, only to meet what had grabbed its attention rather abruptly as a large tail slapped her golem aside and bit down on the girl herself. Her scream sent a brief rush of fear through the young man, but he could then tell that it had likely just been from panic; her defensive spell seemed completely unharmed. Seemingly annoyed that its prey was too tough to chew, the beast threw her in the same direction as her golem. Cyrus ran over to check on her as she ordered her golem to attack the monster. "You okay, Athena?" He asked as he watched her prepare to go on the offensive.
Smiling slightly, Cyrus decided to summon a golem of his own; specifically one that had yet to see very much action. A glyph formed on the ground, and sap rose from it before forming a shape reminiscent of a knight's suit of armor, complete with a strangely shaped sword that seemed molded to its hand as the golem solidified into amber. A cape made of sap hung from the amber warrior's shoulders, striking quite the regal appearance. "Attar, go." He instructed his soldier simply, the knight letting out an almost creaking sort of sound as it nodded and stepped forward.
Cyrus thought for a moment and then cast a second spell; a mass of sap shot from his grimoire towards the Attar, briefly taking on the appearance of a castle wall before fading away into a warm, orange aura around his golem. A defensive spell, his Syrup Shroud, just for a little extra security.
The ancient mana beast turned its attention to this new foe and swung its tail through the water, launching a powerful splash in the golem's direction. Cyrus gave his Attar a silent command; to advance. It continued its leisurely stroll forward, raising its sword and slicing at the approaching wave; thanks to Cyrus' defensive spell and the golem's own strength, the water was easily deflected. It was after slicing the wave that the knight began to run, weapon poised to strike at the sunken horror.
The creature, sensing the approaching danger, made the wise decision to dive back under the water. "Attar, stop." Cyrus ordered, and the soldier ceased movement immediately as it reached the water's edge. Its head continued to track the movement of the beast however, its sap cap flowing in the same direction to clearly indicate where the beast was.
Cyrus looked over at Sol, curious to see what the young man could do. "Wanna take a swing at this?" He proposed; with himself and Athena right there, it was perfectly safe for the less experienced mage to get some training in.

[attr="class, cyrusstats] Combat Notes Summoned Attar and cast Syrup Shroud on it
Items On Hand Magic Knight's Mantle Scorpion's Eclipse
Name of Spell: Attar Spell Element: Sap Spell Rank: Senior Mana Cost: 30 | 15 Type of Golem: Balanced Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Armament, Reinforced Golems Description: Standing as tall as 9 meters should Cyrus so desire, the Attar is a golem that strongly resembles a knight in multicolored amber armor, wielding an oddly shaped sword and wearing a flowing cape made of sap. The distinct shape of its silhouette is intended to make it recognizable from a distance by allies. As a Senior golem, up to three can be summoned simultaneously, and they can carry as many as three passengers. The Attar does not lean in any specific direction in terms of capabilities, making it a reasonable choice in most situations. Normally they can move at speeds of up to 18 meters per second; when carrying passengers, their maximum speed cannot exceed 20 m/s even through outside forces. Their intended purpose is to provide Cyrus with a reliable jack of all trades for situations that do not require his strongest spells or golems. Thanks to Armament, they can be enhanced by spells that Cyrus casts on them.
Description: By casting this spell, Cyrus summons a mass of sap that quickly takes on the shape of a castle wall before hardening into a shifting amber-colored aura around Cyrus or his allies, defending them from enemy attacks. On casting, this spell will provide Cyrus with a +9 Durability buff. This defense can fully restore its lost health so long as it is not entirely destroyed, up to three times per casting. Sufficient Control will also allow him to create multiple barriers for different targets.
[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol smiled a bit as he was greeted by both of the mages and the both agreed that moving forward as a group was the best thing to do,Cyrus would then suggest that they keep moving forward and the ruby eyed noble nodded in agreement, it was good that he now had two people helping him since the last time hadnt gone well and he needed to make sure that the two crimson lions hadnt died when they were separated. They seemed ok better then the deserter Griswold which still had the man wondering how the heck the guy had gotten Ardere to agree to take him in but he didnt want to question the captains judgement since he was a strong and capable leader. [break][break] Floor 2 room 3
as they moved forward it seemed that Athena casted a spell on both Sol and Cyrus and the blood mage blinked as he felt the earth form armor around him and the warmth he felt from the spell was not unpleasent while the tower itself was surprisingly more hot then expected the warmth of the armor was gentle it actually seemed to make the towers temperature a bit more bearable. As they walked forward with the church member leading the way the spirit on Cyrus's shoulder spoke about how odd golem designs could be and Sol smirked slightly.”you should see the other one that I have its just as odd” he said his tone joking as they entered into the next room, the next room however seemed to be where things suddenly took a very unexpected turn. It seemed that something was lurking in the water and as the church girl Athena approached it suddenly attacked her using its tail to knock her golem away before attempting to bite her. It succeeded but did no damage to the girl due to her mana skin and armor being strong enough to keep the beasts fangs at bay. [break][break] The other mage Cyrus would then use his golem in conjunction with a spell to distract the beast before he then turned to Sol and asked if he wanted to take a swing at the thing.”Sure ill take it down since we dont need to worry about another ambush” he stated as he flipped a page in his notebook and a well of blood suddenly gushed up infront of him, from the blood two long and emaciated arms suddenly shot out from the small lake of blood and pulled up what appeared to be a humanoid creature with a beast skull emerging from a human one made of blood. Its limbs and body were extremely emaciated but you could see an immense amount of strength in it as it hunched over his clawed hands twitching with the urge to fight as the last finishing touch on it was the hardened blood antlers that were extremely sharp and were good for impaling and doing great amounts of damage. As the mana beast suddenly lunged out of the water again Sol gave a simple command to his golems as it shot towards them its jaws wide and ready to bite. [break][break] “take it down” he commanded as the beasts suddenly rushed forward moved to the side to avoid being bitten before the blood countess suddenly wrapped its tendrils around the beasts neck and started to constrict it as the serrations bit into the beast while the wendigo suddenly jumped forward and landed on the beasts head before it started to slam its fists into the beasts head and with one mighty slam of its clawed hands the beast toppled to the ground dead. The countess released her tendrils as the wendigo jumped off its head and went back to Sol as he looked down at the creature and sighed before giving a small prayer for its life and then looked at the two with him.” there we go problem solved Athena you alright?” he asked as he moved with his golems back to where they were. [break][break] SPELLS: Name of Spell: Blood Countess Spell Element: Blood Spell Rank: Intermediate Mana Cost:16/8 to sustain Type of Golem: Balanced Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Mana Conservationist Description: A golem that is beautiful yet terrifying. it is another example of Sols increasing power and mastery over his elements. While this one is less frighting to look at it is still no less deadly. When cast a orb of blood the size of a beachball forms before Sol before starting to shift as it takes the actual shape of the golem.
The blood shifts and manifests into a beautiful looking woman made of blood that stands at 2.1 meters or 7 feet tall from the waist up with a corset made from blood to give her modesty, however that’s where the beauty ends as from the arms are sleeves that come down to hands tipped with bloody claws on one for slashing and grabbing and longer spear like claws on the other better suited for impaling, from the waist down the orb is still visible but gains flowers made of blood sprouting around it around those are three large tendrils of blood tipped with razor sharp hardened blood thorns which can slice and constrict easily, these tendrils can strike at anything in a 3 meter radius around the creature Since this creature does not actually touch the ground it levitates slightly and can move with frightening speed This Golem is rather balanced but its better suited for offense then defending so its only able to attack and it has many ways of doing so. From slashing and impaling with its claws or protrusions to constricting and whipping with its tendrils this creature is elegant and deadly all around. Its attacks deal Intermediate damage and for every 30 Control the user has they can make another Blood Countess capping at four

Name of Spell: Voracious Wendigo Spell Element:Blood Spell Rank: Intermediate Mana Cost:16/8 to sustain Type of Golem: Balanced Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Mana Conservationist Description: A terrifying and Disturbing Golem visually, Sols increasing strength has allowed him to start forming Golem from his elements allowing him to protect himself better and rend enemys faster then with his own blade along. The Creature emerges from a large puddle of blood that forms before Sol before two long emaciated limbs pull the creature out revealing what looks like a human skull made of blood that has parted and another more beastlike skull has emerged with fangs of sharpend blood and a long tongue while atop its head is a set of large hardened blood antlers. Its upper body is strong but still gaunt and its stomach region is small what what seems like starvation. The lower legs are digitigrade ending in clawed feet and its hands are tipped with long and razor sharp claws, the last part of the creature is the slender whiplike tail that can be used to strike if need be.
While hunched over most of the time it looks to be around 1.8 meters tall or 6 feet in height but at its full height the beast is actually 2.4 meters or 8 feet tall. While being rather Balanced This creature is better suited to cause as much damage as possible and can easily cause devastating injury with its claws and fangs along with being able to gore foes with its antlers and strike lightning fast with it whip tail not to mention despite its frame it is deceptively fast and can easily catch foes off guard. These attacks cause Intermediate damage and for every 30 Control the user has they can make another Wendigo capping at 4

[attr="class","athenatext"] As Cyrus called her lady Pendragon before requesting that he just call her Cyrus the earth mage would nod her head. Okay if that's what you'd prefer you can also just call me Athena. After all, I'm not a noble myself. Even if she was of noble birth she still would have gone by her first name or by sister Athena as she was a member of the church and as such, she wouldn't have needed a noble title. The blue-haired mage was glad she didn't cause the golden dawn mage much trouble. While he said it wasn't a problem at all the church members had to disagree after all this dungeon was quite out of the way. She would of course have to thank Alexandra when they next saw each other for having someone check up on her. As Sol showed up and gave his own greeting as well his own reason for being here the three of them would set off to the next room.

After Athena was sent flying back by the sudden attack from the mana beast which luckily had no effect thanks to her spell Cyrus would move over to her to make asking if she was fine before summoning his own golem. The earth mage would simply just pick herself up off the ground as the world spun around her for the moment. Yeah I'm fine my spell kept me safe I'm just a little dizzy. The blue-haired mage would then pick her bow up and got ready to draw it back to help with the fight. However, she would stop as the golden dawn vice-captain offered to let Sol handle this fight. It wasn't like he was in danger as it couldn't break the spell currently protecting the lower-ranked mage. After all, the attack on Athena was proof of that. It didn't take long for the blood golems to make quick work of the mana beast and for Sol to walk over and check on Athena. Yup not even a scratch on my body. Seeing as there was nothing left in the room Athena would start to lead the group to the final room unless someone else took the lead.

After a few minutes of walking the three mages and one spirit would make their way into the final room. In what seemed to be the middle of a fight between two huge mana beasts. It seemed that the Juvasaur had the upper hand on the Joatl and currently had the latter pinned to the ground. For some reason, Athena couldn't explain she had a strong feeling to save the Joatl. Cyrus and Sol you to help the winged mana beast I'll deal with the other one. Without waiting and possibly to the surprise of the others Athena would pull back the string on her power without an arrow loaded. However, once it was fully drawn back an arrow of pure aura. She would then let the arrow loose striking the Juvasaur in the side with her arrow. This would of course make its focus turn to her. Nuriel attacks the T-rex-looking mana beast. The golem would then waste no time running towards the beast meeting it heads on before it could reach Athena. The creature would try and attack the golem with its jaws but the earth mage would mentally tell it to dodge and with its speed, it was easily able to dodge before countering with a punch to its jaws which made a loud crunch. Athena herself of course wasn't sitting by and just watching the fight. She would shoot another arrow at the mana beast striking its eye this time but it wasn't strong enough to blind the beast. the Juvasuar would then swing its tail sending her golem flying back before running at Athena again. However this time the earth mage would summon a second Nuriel in front of her and caught the jaws of the mana beast with its top to arms holding it in place. It would then go for a tail attack however the first Nuriel would grabbing the tail pinning it to the ground. Meanwhile, the second Nuriel would grab onto the jaws with its bottom arms as well before twisting and ripping the mana beast head off. Which was a shock to even Athena but she wouldn't waste any more time and made her way over to Cyrus and Sol. How is the mana beast doing?
