It was a beautiful day in the Royal Capital. The town seemed to be overly busy most likely due to the Royal Knight Exams currently being held within the city. Echo and his older ‘cousin’ Zeus found themselves walking the streets of the beautiful crown city. They were simply taking in the sights and sounds of the kingdom so to speak, however the journey was more so for Zeus who was not quite yet accustomed to the ways of living in Clover. However he was playing the role of a noble’s child and so he had to clean himself up a bit, which would include the way he talked and his general way of behaving.
The two found themselves heading to a less than usual place, the place was.. a speech and language class that Melissa Jaegar(Echo’s aunt) was making the new family addition attend. After the class was over and the two walked out of the building Echo led the way as Zeus followed with a somewhat angry look on his face. He would look to Echo and begin to go on a rant about the class. “Echo! Why must I do classes? Me speech is good? No?” Echo would stop in his tracks as he would turn to Zeus and say “No you sound like an idiot… Listen dude me and the collector got you everything you needed to start a new life here, but it won’t happen if you can’t even pass off the fact you are noble. It damn sure won’t work sounding like a small child…”
The truth was though that Zeus probably sounded much worse than a small child. After giving Zeus his ‘scolding’ Echo would turn around as he would attempt to begin to walk forward once again. However the young hunter didn’t bother to look before he began to walk and of course with the city as busy as it was, he was bound to bump into someone. When Echo had fully turned his body he would see a man on the ground in front of him. Echo would scoff before him and Zeus would kindly step over the man before saying “Might wanna watch where you going weakling. Dont know how you ended up on the ground when I was barely moving…”
After hearing Echo’s words the man was angered and now felt the desire to have an exchange of words with the boy. Quickly making his way to his feet he would yell in Echo and Zeus’ direction saying “You damn silly kids! Didn’t your parents ever teach you any manners!?” The man would then try to throw a rock he picked up from the ground at the two but Zeus quickly reproached the man and took his makeshift projectile weapon, by breaking his wrist and forcefully taking it. Echo would then turn around after seeing what Zeus had done and said “Big cousin that’s very rude of you. You shouldn’t hurt people even when they are bad… Now kind sir you should apologize to my cousin he felt threatened by your impending rick attack…”

Finally, the days were getting warmer and the sun was starting to show more. She even had a day off, of course, she would have rather be going to Hage to see Valo and Agneya but they were on a mission in Hapshass. She knew he would send word when he was back or she would just contact him and ask if he was home yet, either way, she would be happy to hear his voice. In honesty, she was already missing him. Today she was wearing a qixiong ruqun, it was white, peach and orange with black near the top, it was very much embroidered with flowers and had a white and orange tie that dangled almost like strips. Her hair was done up simply yet elegantly with peach blossoms. She thought that perhaps she might be able to find something that Valo may like within one of the market stalls.
Or that she may even find some ingredients she needed to make the incense she used to scent her clothing, she didn't really mind one way or the other she was just going to enjoy her day of rest. Due to it being her day off she wasn't wearing her mantle, she just wanted a day without worry and to act like a normal citizen again. She knew her family would freak if they saw her wandering around alone without a guardian but she was a magic knight, more than that, she had helped within two daemon attacks. She wasn't an offensive mage that much was true, but, she had come to understand with the help of her captain and Valo she made up for what she lacked in other ways. Her mind for strategy was near unparallel, of course, there were those with more battle experience.
Still, she could take in information quickly, assess it and make a plan on the information at that moment without taking her personal feelings into consideration. Then there was the fact she was gifted withing the healing speciality, it didn't matter the spell she cast it always seemed to have healing attached to it. She found that odd but I doubt anyone was complaining when they needed it. She was listening to people talk about the announcement that had been made by the Wizard King not too long ago, she knew if her family had their way she would already be under lock and key because by now Ozma would have told them what he had found out at the yuletide celebration. She was a magic knight she knew what she was getting into when she accepted her place within the Golden Dawn and she wasn't going to stop protecting her kingdom because they believed she should be an isolated flower.
Soon enough she stopped hearing a ruckus and moved to it quickly, it would seem like a man was on the floor being towered over by at least one other. She stepped forward and looked at the man on the floor "Do you need assistance?" she asked gently, her voice was soothing. "They bumped into me and are accusing me of threatening them." he said in an irritated tone as he got up and dusted himself off. "I feel intimidated." he continued Hino knew the man and nodded a little "You best get going, the master of blades isn't going to be too happy if you're late." she commented the man looked almost frightened and ran down the street leaving the dainty looking women with the two men that seemed to have an issue with the one who ran off.
"I am sorry if he insulted you in any way, I am quite sure it wasn't his intention." she smiled gently bringing her hands to her left side and almost doing a slight graceful bow of what would be her parent's homeland which meant slight bent knees and upper body slightly forward. "Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make it up to you and I will do my best." she didn't seem like anything other than a mild-mannered young woman who wanted to make sure that the whole situation was resolved without any repercussions to anyone. She would stand and wait for his answer before she did anything else, to be honest given how the taller male was towering over her, he could see why the male would actually feel quite intimidated and if she was any other young woman she may have as well. This however wasn't the case.

As Echo was standing over the man almost demanding for a apology, the transaction was interrupted by a woman that he had never seen before. The woman would have some words with the man, almost seeming like she knew him before he would take off scared from the looks of it. Echo couldn’t tell if the man was running because of him and Zeus or because of the woman who had just showed up. The young woman would then start speaking to Echo after the rude man had departed, she would say how she was sorry for whatever trouble the man caused and seemed to want to rectify the situation.
Zeus had begun to take a few steps closer and placed his grip on the handle of his sheathed sword, not knowing what the woman had planned or who she even was for that matter. Echo could sense the tension coming off of his older cousin and would immediately grab the blade’s handle and Zeus’ hand to stop him from doing whatever he was thinking. “Oh no no no miss its fine, really I should be saying sorry. My older cousin here is very protective of me, you could almost say its his job… but that man was kinda scary and mean, I just wanted him to apologize to us. However don’t worry we don’t need anything done for us or anything, actually we were actually heading home so we gonna head out. Come on Zeus lets go!”
Zeus would then release the blade feeling that Echo was not happy with what he was doing and would simply nod, as a way to acknowledge his cousin’s wishes. Zeus would then look at the woman simply bowing before he would turn around and begin to walk away. Echo would watch him do this before he would look at the woman again. He had a odd feeling about the woman one that he couldn’t too much shake. He thought he should stay and talk to her for a bit to see if he could learn anything, but he didn’t want to leave himself open to anything the woman might have up her sleeve.
While looking at the girl Echo would say “Actually maybe you can help me with something… Im actually from the common region and don’t know my way around here. Do you think you can help us get home? Or at least to the outskirts of town, I’m sure we can figure it out from there…” Of course what he said was lies, hoping he would get lucky and perhaps find out something worth while. Echo normally wasn’t the type for sneaking about or espionage but this would be his first real attempt at sharpening his criminal skills.

The flower mage remained smiling the entire time, her deep forest green eyes gleaming in the light of the sun, she looked at the taller of the two men who had made a move to place his hand on his sword making her step back a little. She wasn't scared, how could she be she had dealt with daemons, still she was quite anxious about the sudden hostility even though she had done nothing to warrant such actions. Concern washed over her face "There is no need for such actions, I am a pacifist. I don't fight." she said her voice showing worry at what possibly could happen. She wasn't lying at all and that showed within her eyes, she truly was a peaceful soul. The men had no idea how lucky they were because if Valo was around he would make sure they'd both be eating the stone below their feet for even threatening such a thing.
She listened to the smaller males words and tilted her head "I can understand people being overprotective, however, doing that to someone inside the royal capital of all places could get you into a lot of trouble. I did nothing hostile to you or your cousin and so do not deserve to feel threatened." she informed the other, her voice was gentle. Just by how she was dressed it would be hard to believe that she was anything other than a normal citizen after all what sort of magic knight would dress as she did. "He isn't at all scary, if anything he is more bark than bite." she said her smile returning to her face. She just waved to the pair as if seeing off some good friends after they said they were heading home and didn't need anything.
She turned and started to walk but stopped hearing his words, turning he looked at him tilting her head in confusion. "I am from the common region also, I walk daily to the forsaken region to see a friend." she said gently bringing up her sleeve to cover her flushing cheeks. After a moment she herself under control and brought her arm and sleeve down. "I don't mind helping you in whatever way you would like as long as it is within my power to do so." she said walking towards the two men, of course, she was still anxious but she had offered to help him to make amends for the man's insult to the pair. "Are you a noble?" she asked finally, she knew personally it wasn't uncommon for branch family members to look after heirs of the family, in many noble families it was commonplace.
She wasn't fishing for any information, it was just general curiosity "I don't mind walking you to your home, I may find something more to my friends taste in the common region." she said thoughtfully, she knew Valo had mixed opinion on the nobility of Clover and the reason behind some of them, she didn't hold that against him. She believed if the tables were turned she may well have the same outlook, but having never been in his shoes she couldn't even imagine the pain he had been and how low he must have felt growing. All she could do was help him look towards a brighter future. "Please if you follow me." she said as she started to walk down the street and even pointing out things of interest such as the pavilion, favoured hangouts, popular eating spots, monuments and where the daemon attack had been and where it had been defeated.

After Zeus had almost pulled his blade but was stopped by Echo the girl would say she didn’t want to fight due to her being a pacifist. Truly it didn’t really matter as the situation was totally misread, as Zeus still hadn’t learned the language of Clover too well yet.
After Echo explained Zeus’ behavior the girl would seem like she somewhat understood, and she seemed to truly have their well being at heart when she said doing stuff like that in the capital was dangerous. She also made it known that she didn’t like that she felt threatened by the two. In honesty Echo was rather annoyed that so much had happened so fast but it was nothing he could do about it now but try to correct it.
However even after being threatened the girl still happily offered her help when Echo had asked about finding their way home. The fact she was willing to help came as a big surprise to Echo, because from the way she talked she didn’t really want anything to do with them. But for whatever reason she would say she too was from the common region, most likely trying to find some type of common ground with the boy. Echo would simply listen as he would begin to follow her after being prompted to do so. As they were starting to walk Echo would look to Zeus before waving his hand prompting his bodyguard of a cousin to follow behind him and the girl.
As they walked the girl would ask Echo if he was a noble to which he would not answer at first, not wishing to give away too much about himself. However atfter a few moments to consider the situation he would answer the girl by saying “Yes, I am Echo second born son of House Jaegar, and my cousin here is Zeus he is an adopted son of a side branch in my family. You may have heard of our family’s many feats as hunters…” his words would trail off before his eyes would glance to Zeus to see what he was doing. When he turned he would find the man following not too far behind playing with a bird who had flown onto his shoulder.
Turning his gaze back to the girl right before Zeus would pop up and look at the girl before having his new bird friend hand her a flower that it had found. “I apologize… I not want to threaten you… I no hurt women, unless women hurt me.” The black haired swordsman would say to the woman. His speech seemed to be getting better but it could still use some improvements. After hearing Zeus do this Echo would smile and say “That was very nice of you Zeus, when we get home you can have first go on the training course…”
Taking a brief pause Echo’s words would then shift back to the young woman before saying “Judging from your attire you aren’t from here are you? And I actually don’t think I got your name miss…?” His words trailing off as he waited for a response.

It was true that she was likely making a wrong move by trusting the two men but she had said that she would do what she could to rectify the situation. They had asked for a guide home and she had no issue in doing that, she had travelled so many times from the noble region to the forsaken region she knew many of the paths quite well. She understood when it was explained to her that the man who had seemed somewhat hostile was foreign to the lands, she could understand culture shocks, after all, she had been through quite a lot of them since she chose to become a magic knight. There had been some good that came from it but there had been so much darkness that she often felt like she'd be swallowed. She tried not to concentrate on the darkness and deal solely with the good.
"I know what it's like to be out of your comfort zone so I fully understand where your cousin is coming from." she said softly as she continued walking down the street. "Still, had a magic knight or guard seen such an action they may have thought that something terrible was about to happen and mislabel you both as rogues. I don't think anyone would want that." she said taking a left down another street without missing a step. True she was a magic knight and she did feel concerned for what could have just happened to her but she was quite sure she would have been able to defend herself. She was without her mantle so for her to bring up that she was a magic knight seemed counter-productive, as even if it were true these two strangers could easily call her a liar and she would currently have no way to prove otherwise.
She noticed that her question had remained unanswered at first, she could understand that she didn't exactly go around boasting that she was a noble either. In fact, she actually looked more like her own handmaiden given what she was currently wearing, a softer smile formed on her lips as she thought of the woman. Eventually, however, she did get her answer and so stopped and bowed as she had before directly to him "It is a pleasure to meet you Lord Jaegar." before doing the same to Zeus "It is a pleasure to meet you also Sir Jaegar" her voice was still delicate as she spoke to the pair before she started to walk once more. It was clear that etiquette was something that she possessed and was careful to abide by. She after all had spoken to the noble from the main branch before talking to the one that came from the side branch.
She shook her head at having heard about his family or their name "I can not say I have." her voice almost sounded like she felt like she would have disappointed him in her words. She was allowed as much information as her parents and tutors would allow her about the outside, and that was very limited and screened at the best of times. It would have been uncommon for such things but it wasn't unheard of especially with staff that were born and raised within estates. She stopped almost startled as the tall man almost appeared next to her out of nowhere "You are very light on your feet Sir Jaegar" she said her hands lying lightly on her chest, she looked at the bird that had perched on him before looking at the flower he was offering her.
"That bird is said to notice kind hearts, I guess it's why it wants to play with you." she said trying to make him feel better about earlier. "Oh, a gift... for me?" she said moving both her hands out to accept the flower, she softly looked at the petals caressing them gently before bringing it to her nose to smell the delicate fragrance "Thank you so very much, I appreciate your gift." she said moving to put it within the peach blossoms that made her hairpin. "I will treasure your gift. I can understand being on edge in new surroundings, all is forgiven." she said with a bright smile turning her head so he could see the flower in her hair. "Does it look pretty?" she would ask the other, she would have made sure that it would have looked like the new flower would have belonged amidst the peach blossoms.
It seemed like Echo was happy that the issue had been resolved and even seemed to offer a reward to his cousin, she looked to the taller of the two males and nodded "My family come from another country but I was born and raised here, but, we keep very close to our ancestry and traditions" she admitted to him "My manners are terrible. I'm sorry. I should have introduced myself earlier." she did seem like she was frustrated at herself for not doing something so basic, but then before she never had his name so she was not about to give hers beforehand "My name is Hinota." she had to admit she was thinking about saying 'Hino' it was what she was getting so used to being called being around Valo so often, but, she didn't really feel comfortable with anyone else calling her by only a partial name so she gave him her full first name.

The situation that had transpired earlier seemed to be getting a good resolution in Echo’s eyes. His cousin had made amends with the young woman and they were safely on their way home, what could be better than that?
After Zeus and his new friend bird had given her the flower, the woman would place it in her hair as a sort of decoration, along with other flowers already in her head. She would say how she was thankful for the gift and would cherish it, a sentiment Echo found a little too emotional and heart filled for his taste but he would not comment. Shortly after this though the woman would give her name after Echo had asked for it, stating that her name was Hinota. Echo would think about the name himself and would simply nod before saying “With a name like that I can tell your family is from a foreign land…”
After finally understanding what Echo and Hint were talking about Zeus would bow to Hinota saying “Maybe we from same homeland? Sorry still no good with language… I try to be better but so hard.” The look upon his face was one of disappointment with himself, the man was really trying his best. Echo would see the face Zeus was making and would smile before saying “Come on cuzzo, its not that bad. Its way better than when Melissa first adopted you!” Trying to uplift Zeus’ spirits.
The trio would continue to walk and Echo still had gotten nothing worthwhile from the woman. He was only doing this for practice at the moment but from how things were going he didn’t think he was very good at the spy stuff. He felt like he could try to push more but would that really do more good than harm, he figured it was only one way to find out. “So are you a noble too Hinota? Its just the way you dress is so elegant… comparing me to you I look like some poor commoner haha.” Zeus would put his hand on Echo’s shoulder after his statement saying “No bad talk of commoners.”
Echo’s face instantly turned into one of a kid who had went and broken a rule. He didn’t mean anything by what he said, simply trying to point out the fact that the woman dressed nicely. In truth Echo didn’t care about the roles of commoners or nobles, he believed the only real caste system was those with power and those without it. As Echo’s face changed the bird on Zeus’ shoulder would begin to chirp in Echo’s direction, as if to back up what Zeus had said. Hearing the bird chirp made Echo’s face turn more before he would say “You know I didn’t mean it like that Zeus! Its not like our family is rich either, we give away almost everything… Speaking of which upon our return home we must prepare to go and hunt for that village close to the Fringe.”
His eyes would move from Zeus after he spoke, placing his attention back on Hinota not wanting to be rude to their guide. He would speak saying “Do you know much about hunting Miss Hinota? I would be glad to show you a thing or two if you don’t, however I’m sure a high class lady like you has more important things to do than chase after animals. Also that flower those look rather nice, it matches your look.”

Hinota nodded to what he said "We are, yes. Everyone, where I live, is." she said not hiding the information, it wasn't as if she dressed or even sounded like a native to the kingdom of Clover. She held the accents of those she was raised around and that was very much foreign. "I have never stepped foot on the homeland of my parents, I was born and raised within Clover but I do understand many languages. Where do you come from? I may understand it and I can speak to you in your native tongue to make it easier for you." she offered Zeus, she wanted him to be as comfortable as possible and so if speaking his native tongue helped that she would happily do it if she understood it. She never once seemed at all irritated at the other man "I can understand having troubles with language, I played games to learn." she said.
"Nobles and commoners are the same in essence, I try not to think of the difference and just see the person as I wish them to see me as a person not for what station I was born to in life." she said calmly, it wasn't like she was ashamed of being a noble or of her family but there was a lot of shaky ground between her and the rest of her family. Then again she also dressed like her handmaiden at current "Where I was raised everyone dresses well, it is expected of the servants as nobles only look as well as the servants that serve them." she said thoughtfully as if it was something that had been explained to her at nausium but this didn't necessarily mean that she was a noble especially as she said the servants where she was raised dressed as finely as she herself was.
"Your cousin is correct you shouldn't speak badly of those below your station Lord Jaegar it is hurtful." her voice actually sounded pained as if she herself had been hurt by his words. She in fact had been, she may have been a noble herself but the one she cared dearly for was not, she understood that this was why there was a lot of resentment from those of lower status against those of higher status. "Every family is different regardless of status... where I come from everyone is finely dressed regardless of the station due to our heritage, where your heritage is that of hunters and so you dress appropriately." she said trying to help him understand that clothing meant little in the grand scheme of things.
"It is very charitable that you look after those less fortunate than yourself, I would actually say you are quite rich where it matters the most." she said honestly her smile ever-present. When she was asked about hunting she shook her head quickly "No, I've never hunted. I'm not permitted to, but then, even if I was I am a pacifist and do not hold weapons." she said holding her sleeve, the thought of shooting an animal actually hurt her as if she had physically done it. "I understand that it is required, I just could never bring myself to do it. To me, there is too much pain in the world and I do not wish to add to it." she was sincere in her words, she guessed it was why others fought so hard to protect her because she couldn't do anything but defend herself from oncoming attacks. She blushed lightly to his words bringing up her sleeve to hide her cheeks "Thank you Lord Jaegar" she said shyly as she continued walking.

After Echo made the statement of her being a foreigner, Hinota would confirm by saying that all her family was. It was interesting for Echo to see a family of foreigners make a place for themselves in a new land but he wouldn’t say much as he didn’t want her to feel any kind of way. Although she was of foreign lineage, she also made it clear that she had never been to the homeland her family was from.
After Zeus had seemed to get sad over his bad speaking, Hint would try to help by asking where he was from so she could try to speak to him in his native tongue. Zeus would look to her and say “I from Land of Rising Sun.” The foreign noble would stop speaking in the language of clover before beginning to speak in his native tongue saying “Hello, how are you Miss Hinota.” Using the sentence as a test of her ability to speak the language. Echo would look to the two before saying “Hey hey now, I like the bonding going on but don’t start speaking gibberish and then I can’t understand haha.”
Zeus would turn his eyes to Echo before saying “I already teach you some, you should understand.” Before Echo could say anything though Hint would speak on how she didn’t see commoners and nobles any differently, she had a point everyone was simply a person at the end of the day. She even had a comment for about why she dressed so nicely saying that everyone in her household down to the maidens dressed well, stating that people only looked as good as their servants. While Echo wasn’t too sure about the notion due to the fact his families servants dressed nicer than the actual nobles, however that was due to the profession most of the family’s members had.
After they had moved from the conversation of nobles and commoners and not looking down on people due to station, the topic of the Jaegar family’s charitable actions came up. Hinota thought it was quite noble for them to be charitable and thought that it was what made them truly rich, a statement his father would agree with. However Echo didn’t like his family’s charitable ways all too much, he felt as though it held them back quite a bit. “I mean if you say so… I only do it because I have to, I’m not interested in all the charity work. I simply do it as a means to an end to get what I really want.” She would then go on to say that she had never hunted before, restating that she was a pacifist like she did earlier on. She continued saying that she did not like weapons or the idea of herself killing an animal. Echo could understand the notion somewhat, but he was happy she at least knew that such killing was absolutely needed for human survival.
Then came the part of the conversation that would send Echo’s head flying off course. After Echo had said she looked nice, Hinota would say thank you like any reasonable person would but what came next was the shock… to Echo at least. After she said thank you she would move her hands to her face in order to cover up the fact she was blushing. Echo could still see the red coming thru her almost perfect skin, which in turn would cause him to blush and turn away. Zeus would take notice in the exchange of red cheeks before saying “Ok me and birdie play. I be 20 steps behind Echo.” The swordsman would then slow his pace allowing the other two to get a good distance ahead. While Zeus was terrible at speaking clover’s native language he was pretty good at reading body language and people, so he thought it be best to give Echo alone time with the girl.
Now Echo and Hinota were ‘alone’ and ever since he see the girl blush he had not been able to stop thinking about it. Even though he had started this trip with the intent to further his ‘spy’ skills, he now felt as though he genuinely wanted to learn more about her. He thought she was beautiful already, maybe she would be willing to go out with him but only time would tell. “I like you Hinota, you seem like a girl with her head on straight and a good heart… Mind if I call you Hino? Its just a cute nickname, and you don’t have to call me Lord Jaegar… I probably would never truly get the title unless something happened to my older brother, so Echo is plenty good.” He would say before growing silent.

Hino smiled happily looking at the two, she didn't know exactly what to think of the pair. She was still anxious given what had happened not too long ago, but, she couldn't help but believe that it was nothing more than a misunderstanding so was more than willing to give them a second chance. She listened to where the smaller of the two seemed to have spoken where he came from and smiled "It was one of the first four languages I had to learn growing up, I can speak to you like this if you prefer." As she spoke to the tanned male, the way she spoke it would have been like speaking to a native of where he was raised as her diction was perfect. It was clear she wanted him to feel at peace and knowing that she spoke at least one language he did, this meant that there would be little chance of misunderstandings happening.
She turned her gaze to Echo and smiled "If he must learn your native tongue do you not believe it fair that you learn his?" she inquired, in her mind, it was only fair and it was awfully selfish to expect him to do something that he himself was not. "Also calling his native tongue and the one that I have been raised as one of my primary languages 'gibberish' is quite insulting. I request that you think before you say such things. I understand that you see it as a joke but truly, it hurts." she lightly scolded more like a nursemaid to a noble child than anything else, her voice was still soft as she was understanding that he may not understand how it came across to people like herself and his cousin.
"The language you speak isn't easy for him as his language isn't easy for you but you are doing very well. How long have you been here?" she said with a positive tone to lift his spirits speaking to Zeus in his native tongue. "I am very well now that my nerves have settled Sir Jaeger, how are you on this blessed day?" she asked him realizing she was asked a question by the male and so would answer it. She listened to him and seemed saddened at his words shaking her head, she didn't know the reason he thought in such a way and didn't want to pretend that she did. Still, she was disappointed at his selfish words but then it was all too common amongst nobles. She remained quiet on his words as he spoke about how he only did such things for his own ends, she could understand why Valo hated most nobles.
She knew that her way of thinking wasn't understood by everyone but she had been told that her resolve to her chosen path made her strong. She understood that it also made her a target but she knew she couldn't have it both ways so chose the one that was truest to herself and with that she was happy. She looked to Zeus and smiled "Perhaps you and Miss. Birdie can agree on their name" she suggested to the other male once again in his native tongue, it was honestly easier for her to speak in this language over the common of Clover, the cultures of her parents had been taught to her first due to the path they expected of her. In honesty, she doubted that she ever expected her to interact with anyone from Clover but she had thrown them a swerve ball they hadn't expected.
"I attempt to be a person with my head on straight, I am quite attached to it." she brought up a sleeve covered hand and giggled lightly. "I have told I have a good heart but I see no need to be cruel or malicious, there is enough of that in the world and I am not looking to help fill that need. I want to bring more light to the world through kindness and understanding." she admitted looking to the sky enjoying the warmth of the sun that came with the gentle breeze that had passed. She looked down as he asked if he could use the name that only one person ever called her and bit her lip a little, there was no reason he really couldn't but at the same time, she was conflicted about it. "I... I don't know you well enough for that." she sounded like she was ready to cry for denying his request.
"I have been taught to call people by the title they deserve." she said quickly, she knew she likely sounded like a maid at current. It wasn't so uncommon for maids to speak in such a way, but then there was etiquette to follow "I'm sure if you asked your cousin he would be able to help you understand. To not show respect to those who have power can quite easily have your head stricken from your shoulders." she closed her eyes and clenched her hands a little "This includes things like simply not bowing." she continued explaining him, she was raised in such a way that everyone had their place on the social ladder and they understood exactly what was expected of them. She had no idea how the other would take such information but she guessed she'd find out soon.

Hint seemed to shock Zeus when she seemed to speak his native language almost without any sort of flaws speaking like a true native. Knowing he was not truly alone made Zeus feel very happy in a way. Hint would then tell Echo that he should make a better attempt at learning the language seeing as Zeus was making an attempt to learn his. The statement was very true but Echo honestly didn’t have time to sit and learn a language that wasn’t required of him, especially with all the charity work he did cutting into his free time.
The girl seemed so sweet but at the same time it was very clear that she had no filter and what she said was very straight to the point. She would let Echo know that calling the native tongue of his cousin gibberish was very insulting, and insinuated that she did not approve at all. Echo would let out a sigh but would say nothing as he really felt as though he was wrong. Echo normally didn’t let people make him feel like this but for whatever reason Hinota was doing it pretty well.
After Echo would give his compliment saying that he liked Hinota and that she seemed to have her head on straight, the young girl would make a funny reply. She would say that she was quite attached to her head and that she was a good hearted person because the world had enough of ill hearted people. Echo could agree to the sentiment but he still sat quiet as he knew that he was one of those ill hearted people. He knew that he wasn’t like Hinota and his hands were stained with darkness long before he had ever killed a man.
The boy’s stomach began to turn as he would start feeling ill. Certainly the kindness and compassion Hinota showed couldn’t have upset the balance within Echo’s heart. Or at least that’s what he hoped wasn’t happening. But at this point Echo was starting to have second thoughts about his intended goal yet again. He was now shopping the option of making his escape from this girl before things went and further and as he took more and more steps forward the idea sounded more appealing.
After a few more steps he would stop dead in his tracks. He would look to Hint and say with a smile “Oh actually umm thanks for the company and everything, but I just realized me and Zeus must get going. We actually have to make a stop somewhere before we go home, and I wouldn’t wanna trouble you. So we shall take our leave here, however I really enjoyed talking to you. Maybe we could do it again sometime? Perhaps over tee at my family’s estate? If that’s ok with you of course?” Echo would then wait a moment to get the girl’s answer, however regardless of what it was he would pull out a piece of paper and a small pencil and right down the coordinates of his family’s estate. He gave the paper to Hint and would turn to see Zeus playing with the bird behind him.
“Zeus come on we are heading out! Well Hinota it was nice meeting you and I hope to see you again.” Echo would say before Zeus had walked up with the bird still upon his shoulder. Zeus would then bow to Hint before speaking in his native tongue saying “It was nice to meet you Miss Hinota. I hope my cousin treated you well during your alone time. Dont tell him I said this but I think he likes you haha.” Of course Echo would not understand a word that was said but from the look on his face he could tell it wasn’t anything good. The two would then wave to Hint as they would begin to walk off leaving the girl on the outskirts of the capital.

The doll-like mage was happy to see the smile on Zeus's face when he realized that he could have a conversation with someone where he didn't need to struggle as he had been. She was glad that she could do that for him, she knew how bad it felt to feel isolated and wouldn't want anyone else to feel like that if she could help in some way. She realized she may have been harsh by her words and bit her lip "I apologise Lord Jaegar, I know you are a very busy person and that sometimes as much as you may want to do something you wouldn't always have the time. I have no right to judge you when I do not know your situation. I request forgiveness for overstepping." her tone was sincere and respectful the entire time, the last thing she wanted was to offend someone and give them the wrong idea about her.
It was true she didn't like one of the native languages of where her parents came from and even his cousin came from as 'gibberish', but then she doubted he would like it if the shoe was on the other foot. "I wasn't saying that to be cruel, just that sometimes words hurt more than blades to and can cause more harm to a person's reputation than anything else. I know you were saying it as a joke and I wasn't offended by it but it still hurt to hear." she said her voice showing slight pain in it "Another person may find it as an insult and as I said the traditions I was raised with could see a person's head stricken from their shoulders for such a thing." she knew it would be very unlikely for something outside of her families estate but she wanted him to understand just how much weight words could have to certain people.
"I don't know how you'd feel if your native tongue was the one being called gibberish, but, I'd like to think you wouldn't be too fond of it as it isn't something you can help when stepping into a world you don't understand." She was showing true understanding and hoped she was giving him some food for thought, she honestly wasn't judging him on the matter and knew he was far kinder than some of the people she had met over her time away from her families estate. She smiled and looked at the sky for a moment before she looked at Echo "You are a good person, even those you help are truly thankful I'm sure. Those families have warm clothes and food in their stomachs." she said kindly to him.
She knew he was forced into it, that he didn't want to do it, he had said so himself. They were still teenagers and wanted to explore and learn things without their parents breathing down their necks with expectations. "I know you are wanting to do your own thing, I get that on such a personal level. Constantly having unbearable expectations from your parents is suffocating" she confirmed to him that she too had those same unobtainable standards set upon her. "Sometimes I just feel like running away, you know?" her voice showed shame for speaking those words, she knew she was well cared for and went without little but it came at a high cost, one she didn't want to pay any longer if she could help it. "It's even worse when you add traditions and duties into the mix of expectations and perfections." she sighed shaking her head not wanting to think about it.
She watched as he stopped dead in his tracks and she did the same looking at him confused, more so as he seemed to be trying to make a speedy departure. She bit her lip and looked worried, she honestly believed that she had done something to offend if not upset him at the very least and that was why he was wanting to depart so suddenly. "I... I'm sorry, I... I didn't mean to offend you. I... I request your forgiveness." her eyes becoming glassy as she looked like she was ready to cry over the matter, she bowed low to him but remained standing on her feet. "You aren't any trouble Lord Jaegar, I assure you. I just know I overstepped my bounds and it was something I should have never done, please forgive me." she truly was acting like a servant that had offended the one that employed them.
She was quite the delicate flower that much was clear and she took giving the slightest insult as if the world was going to end due to it. She couldn't help it, it was just the way she was raised as the smallest insult could result in the direst of ways. Strangely he said that he enjoyed her company and that he would want to see her again over tea at his families estate while holding out a piece of paper giving directions to where it was. Standing straight she took the paper in both hands and looked at it for a moment to be polite before looking at him "I... I don't know when I'd be able to do such a thing, duties after all." she bit her lip again lightly, she had never been invited to another person's estate so she didn't know what to expect.
Seeing Zeus bow she moved her hands to her left side and bowed in the fashion she had earlier when first meeting them. "It was nice to meet you too Sir Jaegar. I... I think I offended him in all honesty, he is a kind person and I don't wish him to think ill of me." she said back in his native tongue. Her eyes went wide in shock as she heard his last words bringing up her sleeved hand to cover her blushing cheeks. "I am sure you are mistaken Sir Jaegar, I'm sure he must have women fawning over him, he is a handsome noble after all." she said before watching them walk off, there was still the doubt she had as she believed that the other was offended by her words and that was why he made the excuse that he had to do something so suddenly when she was offering to walk with him the entire way to his estate as a guide.

Before the Jaegar duo could walk off, Zeus heard the woman’s words and would smile. Him and Echo had already started to walk off but the young foreigner had decided to turn back around and say something to the young woman before he would head out. “Echo go ahead, I forgot to get something for birdie.” Echo would then look at his cousin with a face of confusion before he would just shrug and continue to walk towards his home.
Zeus turned around with birdie on his shoulder, making his way back towards Hinota before she could walk off and leave the area. It would only take a few moments but he would get there seemingly just before she would walk off. He approached her and would speak to her in his native tongue needing to voice his final words of wisdom to a foreigner like himself. “Miss Hinota I needed to come back and say something… My cousin is not the man that you think he is. And you actually couldn’t be more wrong about the women in his life, he has focused all his time into his goals and his work. So if he finds interest in you maybe you should give him a chance.”
Zeus would then turn back around and begin to walk off once again going to try to catch up with Echo. Soon as Zeus turned around the bird on his shoulder would begin to chirp at Hinota which would cause Zeus to look and smile. “Birdie has taken a liking to you, however we must go now. I hope you take the invitation Echo has given you, he isn’t the only one who hopes to see you again.” Zeus would then wave to Hint with his back turned as he waved the girl off.

Hinota smiled and waved a little as the pair left and was about to turn around to go and check one of the random market stalls nearby. Just as she was doing so she saw Zeus approaching her and was quite confused as to why he would leave his cousin behind even for a moment. "Hello again Sir Jaegar, is there something wrong?" she would ask in the native tongue of the other as she moved her hand to the side and bowed as she had previously. She listened to him as he explained he needed to say something, that Echo wasn't the man she thought he was and that she was wrong about the women. The former she could only go off what he himself had said and what her own personal thoughts on that were but she was honestly surprised about the latter as he was quite handsome.
"I can understand focusing on your goals and work, it is an ethic that you know follows cultures like our own." she said gently looking back to Echo for a moment "I do not mind offering friendship, I can understand loneliness very well and no one deserves such an existence." she explained her eyes moving back to Zeus once more. It was then that Zeus turned around to begin walking back to Echo, she moved her hands to her left side and bowed once more as she had done previously "I have taken a liking to her too. Please take care of yourself Sir Jaegar and of Lord Jaegar too, I have a feeling he is more fragile than he likes to let on." she said with a small wave once more, she nodded to his last words "As soon as I have another free day then I will visit." she said her caring smile ever present. She didn't know when her next day off would be after this but she would keep to her word.
