The Aristaeus’ Basin, a place within the Kingdom with a rather big ecosystem, filled with all sorts of plants, animals, and mana beasts. It had been almost a year since Charles went to the Aristaeus’ Basin. Although it was very rare for him to come to a place like this, it was also the place where he met Suna for the first time, a pretty memorable moment in his life. It took place during his early days as an inexperienced Magic Knight and not long after joining the Black Bulls, the squad of misfits. Now that he was back, it was time for him to stop being lazy and at last, continue his duties as a Magic Knight. As this occurred Charles had been requested to clear out a new dungeon that had appeared in the Aristaeus' Basin. Since it was his job, the silver mage agreed to clear it out, as much as he hated having to do a dungeon because of much work they normally required to be cleared out. The good thing is that perks came with clearing the dungeon, which meant he could stay with any gold or rewards he found while he was clearing it. Which were things he could either keep or sell. Nothing bad with a little extra money, no? On his way to the dungeon, the silver mage encountered Verena, someone who he had encountered before. The Summoner Magic-user was rather reserved when it came to interacting with strangers. Since he had some time to kill, he decided to teach her how to implement Silver Magic into her golems. After the training, the Summoner Mage expressed her interest to join him to put her new abilities to the test which is something he didn't mind. After all, having another person helping out would make clearing the dungeon a much easier task.
[break][break] Arriving at the deep stretches of the Basin, a place where he hasn't been before since he never bothered to go too deep into it. Charles was informed that the dungeon was different from the rest, as it was divided into areas instead of floors like others did. Since the dungeon was in an open space, it meant it was different from your average dungeon. The silver mage felt a high density of mana and he was able to Ki around the place felt entirely different. The place itself looked alright, it was calm, peaceful as if nothing was happening. It was hard to believe that it was a dungeon at first, but from what he had previously, don't judge a book by its cover. "Alright, we're here... This place is different from what you would expect from a dungeon." He said, taking a look around at the scenery and getting in touch with nature itself. If the dungeon is located in an open place was a good thing or not, it was going to be determined real soon. One of the advantages of being in an open place was definitely the facilitation of using his transportation spell to fly around the place. Due to the high density in mana, it also meant that the place was likely to harbor some dangerous mana beast. A good explanation as to why they sent him and not somebody else instead, or maybe it was just because they didn't want him to slack off all day. Ahead of him was a forest area, which seemed to be the first part of the dungeon they would have to go through. [break]

The Basin, as it were, was Verena's favorite place to be. Even when she was still an inexperienced mage, she had managed to make it home. For whatever reason, she had never actually been attacked here. She knew it was technically a dangerous place, given its status as a Grand Mana Zone, but she personally had never encountered any dangers here. It was as if the location itself welcomed her.[break][break]
With the Royal Knight exams completed, Verena was working hard on training. She wasn't sure why she had been accepted when she was the only person to have undoubtedly 'lost' in her match against her opponent. He simply had better options that allowed him to control the area around him, and his magical power was enough to minimize her skill in other areas. As strong as she had become, her defensive ability simply struggled to keep up with Griswold.[break][break]
Not only that, she had completely worn herself out to demonstrate how many elements she had access to. If the goal was to impress, it made sense. But on the other hand, she realized that there was likely no other way to view it: it was purely to impress. There was no real tactical benefit in summoning that many at once with her mana levels; it wore her out immeasurably.[break][break]
Griswold's control of the battlefield far outshined her own. And so she needed to work on that. That weakness, that loss -- she couldn't allow herself to dwell on it. The brunette knew that if she was to be useful, her current skill level was simply nowhere near enough where it should be.[break][break]
It was around this time that Charles showed up. After the two reminisced for a short while, he had agreed to try teaching her his Silver magic, a skill that she was most certainly grateful for. The magic would go a long way in its usability.[break][break]
Verena agreed to tackle the dungeon alongside the young man. She had been here once before, but things had fallen apart; it wasn't that they weren't capable, but urgent matters had come up for the bulk of the group, and it was ultimately decided to cancel it. But since then, the brunette had been incredibly busy, and so she hadn't been able to plan another picnic.[break][break]
But Verena truthfully wanted to go on this dungeon again. It was so different from everything that she had been on before. The creatures were not vicious, nor did they seem to possess any sort of malicious intent. They were simply trying to defend this place. And while she didn't wish to cause them any harm for that reason, it was necessary.[break][break]
What captivated Verena about this dungeon was how... peaceful it was. How serene. How... natural. She wanted to explore it more, wanted to learn more about it. It didn't seem to possess any threat to anyone. This dungeon simply existed outside of the norm of dungeons that she had encountered so far.[break][break]
When Charles reminded her that it was different from the other dungeons that she had been on, the brunette nodded. "I've been here once before. With three friends. Due to urgent matters elsewhere though, we had to call it off. We didn't get too far though," she admitted, though sighing near the end. She wanted to get through it all.[break][break]
"Well..." she said, glancing towards the Black Bull. "After you."[break][break]
"Oh, uhm... I'd advise against eating the apples in the first area by the way."

Now that the two mages were at the entrance of the dungeon. It meant that the two can now enter and get started. Although Charles didn't know what to fully expect about it, if possible he would want it to be a simple dungeon. Enter and leave, simple as that, but unfortunately for him, things don't always go the way he wants them to go. Before the two initially went inside the dungeon Verena told him that she had been in the dungeon before, with three friends, but by the looks of it an emergency occurred and they had to leave. That explains why she had such a desire to explore the dungeon. She failed to do it earlier and likely after seeing a brief of the dungeon her desire to explore it further probably increased. What other reason would someone like Verena have to explore a dungeon? The silver mage did it because it was his job as a Magic Knight, not because he was fond of spending hours fighting monsters where he could be sleeping. "I see... Well, good to know, at least you know what to expect at the start of the dungeon." Either way, now that they were ready. He proceeded to formally enter the dungeon.
[break][break]
Floor 1, Area 1
[break][break] Upon entering the dungeon, Charles was presented by a beautiful forested area, the sunlight was low as the trees covered much of light. It was something he wasn't expecting to see, a peaceful and beautiful area that you could easily come to relax to. He was aware it wasn't exactly the case as they were now inside a dungeon. Still, it was something he wasn't expecting. All of his dungeon experiences had consisted of going to abandoned houses, fortresses, or cursed forests that gave off a horrible Ki. Although he's not the one to care about a lot of things, he found being in those places quite disturbing to the point it annoyed him. This dungeon was quite the opposite as the place was calm, he felt nothing horrifying with his Ki. The air was refreshing and relaxing. So far, he liked the dungeon, a lot more than the previous ones he was in. A bit before he went into the inside of the dungeon Verena advised against eating the apples in the first area. Since the summoner mage had already visited the area, to avoid any problems he listened to her advice and wouldn't even bother to touch those apples. Carrying on into the forest, the silver mage began to see in the distance several apple trees. "So these are the apples you were referring to, I assume?" He said, as he looked at the trees, they were a lot of them. Although, he wasn't going to eat them, not at all. He wasn't dumb enough to eat an apple from a place that was labeled as a dungeon. For all, he knew they could be poisonous or make him sick. Verena probably knew from experience what the apples knew, whether because she tried them before or saw one of her friends try them out only for something bad to happen to them. He didn't need the details, he probably had an idea of what they did anyway. As Charles was about to go under a tree, all the apple trees in the forest began to shake violently, this made him take a step back to see what was going on. Suddenly a bunch of apples dropped from the trees, they were bigger than your average apples and the silver mage could sense that they weren't exactly friendly. "Seems like somebody didn't want us to come here..." His grimoire came floated out of his holster and floated next to him, a light green aura surrounded his grimoire as he prepared for battle. The applerounds were not happy about their presence and he could feel it, they were about to attack. [break][break] Charles immediately unsheathed his sword and held it with his right hand, he was going to use it first before his spells. A blue aura emitted from the silver blade of his sword. The silver mage slashed the air, aiming towards one of the applerounds. An arc of blue energy was released from the blade that was directed towards one of the applerounds. The arc of blue energy slashed one of the applerounds in half, dealing intermediate damage and successfully killing it. Several of them still remained, a pain in the ass for him indeed, so for now, he had to continue. The blade of his sword began to glow once more, releasing another arc of blue energy towards another appleround that was close to him, dealing intermediate damage and slicing it in half. Several of them still remained, after managing to kill at least two of them. The silver mage decided to go into defense for a bit. He placed his hand on the ground, as a wall made out of silver was made to divide himself from the incoming enemies that were coming to attack him. One of the apple rounds attempted to crash through his silver wall, only to be met by resistance from it. This kept Charles safe for a brief moment in order for Verena to make her move and take out some of the other apperounds. They weren't big targets, which made it slightly complicated to hit. [break]

Verena was truthfully glad that nothing had changed since her first time in this dungeon. It was such a beautiful dungeon. The low sunlight gave it an ambient feel that, for some, might have been an ominous sign, especially given the lack of visible life. The only visible life was the plant life, though there were still birds chirping.[break][break]
The plant life was as varied as one would expect from a dungeon. Tall, majestic trees accompanied by exotic and vibrant pink flowers in full bloom. These flowers were not something that one could find in Clover; perhaps not even in the rest of the world with how they bloomed. Some of these trees even had their own flowers blooming from them.[break][break]
Given the smile on Verena's face during this time, it was obvious that she was well at peace here. And yet Charles could tell from her ki that her guard wasn't at all lowered. At every possible opportunity, the brunette was examining something new. She even pulled out a notepad to take notes on the fauna.[break][break]
As a result, she was lagging behind, and her own personal speed wasn't exactly helping matters. It was as if she was more interested in the creations in the dungeon rather than clearing it. Ordinarily, she would be in a rush. There was nothing delectable about any other dungeon. Horrid and rancid places that reeked of death or simply pretended not to. She loathed those places.[break][break]
"I apologize if I'm slowing you down, but I ask you don't get too far ahead," she said after a moment of silence. "Don't worry, I'll make up for it when we come across the creatures. But this dungeon isn't like the others. This dungeon doesn't seem to pose any threat to anyone who doesn't wander in. The fact it's in a known dangerous territory is already a deterrent to most common people. To that end, it seems more like the creatures here are simply trying to 'survive'. Once we get far enough in, I will probably won't get this chance again. So I want to write down everything I see here, while I can."[break][break]
Grand Mana Zones were by nature places that most people wouldn't wander into without good reason. The mana was twisted and dangerous. And the fact that this place was on the border with the Heart Kingdom was another reason to want to avoid coming here, less one was trying to leave the country.[break][break]
Eventually, the two came to the clearing where she had first tried an apple. Verena safely stayed near the clearing while Charles inspected the surroundings. Instead, she inspected her own equipment. She had managed to repair her coat as well as clothing, and as such was wearing her usual white coat. However, instead of the jumpsuit and dress combination, the woman instead donned a long-sleeved strapless dress that possessed the same coloration and stripes as the jumpsuit. Near the bottom of the dress, the fabric was split and held together via the black fabric.[break][break]
It was beginning to get too hot for her to want to reliably wear so many layers, especially with her coat. But her right hand still contained the mark that she had obtained after Kikka. The exact circumstances behind it she didn't truthfully know. It simply was there. In addition, the ring that had been put on her left ring finger was still there... or well, it had been moved to her index finger.[break][break]
Verena had yet to figure out Hania's intentions, and though she was grateful for the help prior to the start of the tournament, she was still a heiress. If it seemed as though she was married, she would scare off possible suitors that might catch her eye. Not just that, the Ravencrest were simply too powerful. A marriage with Hania would surely mean the end of the Reinsberg family. She could not afford that.[break][break]
The woman's twin tails were no longer present, instead choosing to keep her hair braided into a single ponytail in the back. It seemed as though she had everything needed for this. With that examination finished, she was right in time for the rumbling of the trees, not hearing the raven-haired man's question of the apples.[break][break]
Charles had found himself engaging the bulk of the applerounds. Given that Verena wasn't exactly deep into the room, let alone near the apples, it was the Bull who found himself in the deep of things. Her own slowness prevented her from catching up, but she could at least make up for that.[break][break]
"Summoner Creation Magic: Terra," the woman declared.[break][break]
Before her, a tremendous amount of mana gathered in front of the brunette. Stones conglomerated around one another, forming what appeared to be three separate bodies. The truth of the matter was that it was creating one singular body with two massive arms. The body roughly similar in size to the massive arms, but as it was made of various components, it still seemed a little smaller. These massive arms reached out twelve meters, granting phenomenal range as far as close quarters were concerned.[break][break]
It was too dangerous to use any area-of-effect-based spells with Charles in the thick of things. Though she could arrange for one of her golems to pick him up, her neglect to mention anything in advance in advance made her hesitant. Not to mention, she didn't wish to risk coming off as undermining his own talent and skill when his life was not in any danger.[break][break]
"Launch," Verena ordered to her twelve-meter-tall earth golem. The single fist clenched up, as it launched forth at an impressive twenty meters a second in a massive fist, easily crushing two of the applerounds and sending them flying back an impressive distance... if not for the fact they were already defeated.[break][break]
But Verena wasn't content with just leaving it at that. She had to make up for her own failure to mention when to expect the applerounds. A command was sent to prevent them from getting close to Charles and herself. While she wouldn't aim to eliminate more than necessary, Terra was more than quick enough to be able to move after its giant arm to pick up one of the smaller creatures.[break][break]
If one had a difficult time hitting smaller enemies, then it was only natural to increase the scope of your attack to maximize your total scope of attack. For Verena, who created titans, this was the easy solution. Charles could wrap up what was left. Once he did, Verena asked if he had a means of flight. If not, she would provide one for him via one of her golems.[break][break]
With the scooped up Appleround, Terra tossed it with enough force to effectively smash it and the other appleround near Charles. It was a simple method, but it was also effective. There were just two remaining, and she was confident that he could finish these off.
[break]

Element: Earth[break]Rank: Senior[break]Size: Up to 12 meters[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Type of Golem: Guardian[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems, Ranged Golems[break]Description: Terra takes the form of a colossal entity made of solid earth and stone. However, it's broken up into three parts--the main body and two massive floating arms. The arms each make up the bulk of its mass and are measured at [12m] in height. The main body is roughly [8m] in its own height and lacks legs; thus, it is in a constant state of floating. This is the most advanced type of golem Verena has made thus far, and it is without question her most durable. A yellow heart-shape can be seen in the center of its chest.[break][break]There are several advantages to this design for Verena. The first major advantage lies in it the fact the body operates as something akin to a control terminal... not that there exists something in Clover Kingdom akin to that. The arms exist more as weapons; they can still be destroyed, of course, and if they are destroyed this golem offers no functionality beyond serving as a wall for the caster. It is incapable of doing anything other than floating at [12m/s], even if used as transportation for up to [3] people.[break][break]Like many of Verena's golems, this golem is capable of raw physical strength that is capable of sending opponents back considerable distance; for every 10 [POW] that this golem possesses, it is capable of sending knocking a target back by up an additional [5m] with a base value of [8m].[break][break]However, this golem is the first of hers that is capable of ranged attacks by using up more mana -- specifically, by paying half of the cost of the spell -- a skill she was sorely lacking in before. These giant fists that are floating alongside the golem are its primary and only weapons. At command, these fists can be launched at [20m/s] reaching a distance of up to [40m]. In addition, the general damage output of these falls accordingly, only dealing [Intermediate] damage with strong blunt force. However, she can only launch one fist at a time. After which, if it makes contact with anything, including the target itself, defensive constructs, golems, or even part of the landscape itself, it returns back to the main body at similar speeds to when it was launched.[break][break]However, if these fists are used within the [12m] of the main body--their maximum range of attack, it is capable of unleashing its full [Senior] damage.[break][break]These fists are very human-like--they can grab things, pull, et cetera. Anything a human hand is capable of, so are these.[break]

For some reason, Verena appeared to be enjoying herself far more than he did. He could sense that she seemed slightly different from the first time they met. Perhaps, she was similar to Suna when it came to enjoying nature. Now that he thought about it their most recent meetings, while they were very few, to begin with, were done in forests. Charles was able to notice that she kept moving behind as she found herself getting distracted by the place. The silver mage didn't particularly blame her at all, it was quite surprising that you could call such a place a "dungeon." It was different from the types of dungeons he had to go to before. "Eh... Don't worry about it, I get you. I'm surprised people can call this a dungeon since it doesn't really seem to me like one at first glance." As the two continued into the dungeon. Charles eventually engaged the apple rounds and as usual, he managed to take down at least two of them. The next thing he heard was Verena's voice behind him, briefly turning back to look at her. Her two twin tails were now gone and instead, she decided to wear a ponytail. It was his first time seeing her like this, but his only thought was that the summoner mage had changed into combat mode, hence the change in appearance. A massive golem made out of earth and rocks was formed, seemingly being broken into different parts. It was certainly different from the golems he saw back then when he first met Verena. It was proof that she had indeed improved as he could feel the golem was much stronger than her previous ones. The golem pretty much crushed and destroyed beyond the poor applerounds standards. The enemy next to him was killed by having another appleround thrown at it. Now they were only two applerounds remaining. The silver mage proceeded to get out the cover that was made by his own silver wall to kill off the two remaining enemies and move on. Charles rushed towards the two applerounds, as the blade of his sword was filled with a blue aura, an arc of magical energy was released and sent towards an appleround slicing it in half just exactly like you would cut an apple. The sword was charged up once again with magical energy and killed the last remaining applearound. The silver mage let out a sigh of relief after all the enemies were gone. "Clear..." After the enemies were eliminated, Verena had asked him if he had a way of transport. "Yeah, I do." He answered to her as his grimoire came out of his holster and floated next to him. To confirm what he had just said. A big owl made out of silver was created right in front of the two. For whatever reason, it seemed like they would have to traverse the next area through the air. Verena probably knew the reason why. Either way, he hopped on top of his own transportation spell and took off. Charles waited for a bit for Verena to create her own golem so the two could take off
[break][break]
Floor 1, Area 2
[break][break] Now in the air, Charles was sitting on top of his silver owl as he made his way towards the next area of the dungeon. Being in the air allowed for a lot more visibility of the general area. Following the path out of the forest, they eventually reached a small meadow that was just outside the forest. Once again, the place looked at peaceful as ever. Hell, he even felt like going down for a moment to take a nap. It looked like a nice and calming place to take a nap at. He tended to do that every now and then when he was too lazy to travel all the way to the base. Sometimes just finding a comfortable place to lay down and take a quick nap where nobody would notice. A bit after entering the meadow a stampede of what appeared to be a group of sheep, sheeple started to make the earth below shake. Thankfully, the two mages found themselves in the air and were unaffected by the stampede that would've probably resulted in the two getting trampled by a group of sheep. "Now I understand why suggested for the two of us to fly..." Flying was an easier method of moving around, but he now had a better understanding as to why Verena suggested for the two flies around this place. She already knew what was coming for them, so she wanted to avoid it if possible. It was nice to know that the summoner mage had an idea about what was going to happen. It saved him from having to deal with such a pain in the ass and if it involved him in trying to use the least amount of effort, he was grateful for that. By the looks of it, those sheeple didn't appear to be friendly at all upon noticing their presence. Thankfully, they were in the air and there was no way they could reach them. Aside from them, he also noticed two applerounds roaming around down there too. For the sake of time, he decided to get rid of them as quickly as possible. With his grimoire next to him, two swords made out of silver formed next to Charles, one sword on each side of his shoulder respectively. The two swords were actually electrified, small sparks of electricity could be seen coming off of them if one was able to look close enough to them. The two silver swords were sent towards the ground within the range of the stampede of sheeple. Upon hitting the ground, electricity came out of the swords, creating a field of electricity within the area. This killed at least half of the sheeple and one of the applerounds. The swords detonated as some sort of bomb upon having contact with the ground. This was one of the few times he decided to use an area of effect spell, but since they were in the air and in a fairly open place there was no danger in doing so. Another appleround and three other sheeple were unable to get reached by the blast radius from his spell, but he thought that he should leave some for Verena to take care of so they could go to the next area. [break]TL;DR Forgotten Heirloom, Seer's Fate [break][break] Defeated the last two appleround. After he was done, Charles created a transportation spell to head all over to the second area with Verena. Upon spotting the stampede of sheeple and appleround, he attacked them using an area of effect spell. He dealt intermediate damage to half of them, 3 sheeple and 1 appleround. 3/6 Sheeple remain and 1/2 appleround remain. Verena was glad that Charles understood her position on the matter. There was simply too much in this dungeon that was fascinating to the woman. The wood mage who had taught her that magic some time ago had also helped her identify various fauna, trees; so on and so forth. Because of that logger, she had developed a fascination with fauna and the sort, and that experience had definitely remained with her even into the current.[break][break]
But there was no more time to be thinking about that much. As Verena quickly made work of the four remaining apple creatures, so too did Charles. Affirming that all threats had been taken care of, it was time to move on. It was vital that she share her knowledge of what she had experienced, though it was after this that they had left.[break][break]
Charles confirmed that he had his own flying spell, which meant that it wasn't necessary to need to create one of her own for him. It didn't seem that he was willing to create one for her, but she didn't mind. She preferred her golems anyway, so it worked out. Still, because her earth golem would move too slowly, it had to be dispersed. Instead, her light golem, Flügel, was summoned.[break][break]
Verena sat atop her wyvern-like creature, climbing on top of it before it began flapping its wings to ascend. She created two of them for the purpose of conserving mana further. As this golem was not yet capable of attacking in long-range, she noted that it was better--preferable, even-- to have an additional golem to engage the creatures here. And onward to the next area the two went.[break][break]
[ floor 1, area 2 ]
[break]
Overhead was a large meadow. The grass was too tall; trying to fight here would be difficult less one could increase their reach. But the view from above was nothing short of beautiful as far as Verena was concerned. It was so peaceful. Though right after the stampede, the four had to leave prior. There was nothing she could do about that now though.[break][break]
As a gentle wind passed, gently pushing the flowers and grass alike, the two mages heard the rumbling in the distance, coming from the east. That stampede. Verena's golems had the order of remaining on hold until the stampede passed, though to keep their position in the skies alongside Charles. The stampede would pass, and it wouldn't be a bother. Besides, trying to confront an entire horde of these cute creatures was unnecessary, and could possibly have long-term ramifications.[break][break]
Charles was the first to take action, though that was unsurprising. She did find it ironic though, recalling their first meeting. Introducing himself as lazy and unmotivated, now he was being proactive. In her opinion, she would describe it as unnecessary though given he was going after the stampede as well, causing her to frown.[break][break]
Two distinct swords of silver formed beside him on each side, roughly level with his shoulder. Due to the unique properties of his magic, he was able to shoot them at the parading creatures but it wouldn't just deal with simple piercing. She could see the traces of electricity surrounding it; it'd cause very unpleasant burns as well.[break][break]
However, even with what she could see coming, the fact it created an electrical field caught her off guard. The range of the spell wasn't limited to needing to dodge the swords; simply being in the relative space as them was still dangerous. What a dangerous and deceptive ability -- but one that she admittedly thought of as fascinating. Regrettably, any golem she crafted would not have that same property, giving his magic an edge. Even still, that didn't make it any less fascinating.
The brunette knew that she was to blame as well though. She hadn't told him what to expect, and what was and wasn't necessary. Still, this type of gungho behavior did catch her off guard. Still, far be it for her to lecture him. Even if she was a Royal Knight now, he was her senior in combat, and she knew she had much to learn. There was a very real difference in that sense.[break][break]
"Defeat the remaining members while taking as little damage as possible."
There wasn't really a way for them to advance as long as there were any lingering members of that stampede. They would be pursued, so they had little choice but to eliminate these creatures. However, Verena wanted to make sure her golems would last, not wishing to need to summon more unless strictly necessary. There were four of these creatures, and they were much slower than her Flügel at least.[break][break]
While remaining in the air, Verena watched as Flügel swooped down, immediately bringing out the sharp claws out as it sliced through one of the Sheeple. With a grounded target present, the Sheeple and Appleround had a target of some sort, but there wasn't too much they could do. Even if the eight-meter tall golem made for an easy target in terms of size, its speed easily overwhelmed them.[break][break]
The appleround managed to build up enough speed to try to ram right into Flügel, but...[break][break]
Her draconic creature of light caught the lone appleround, crushing it quite easily in its palm, before leaping up, and taking advantage of its ability to fly when it was about to be attacked by one of the Sheeple. Though it could have easily clashed with the smaller creature, the order to avoid damage had come back to make things last a little longer, but nowhere near enough to matter as a strong leg was brought and kicked it with an extreme force right into a thick tree.[break][break]
That left one remaining Sheeple, but a violent smack of Flügel's tail quickly put it down. It was simple enough so far, but...[break][break]
"...Past this point," Verena began. "I don't know what to expect. We had to leave shortly after arriving here. It might be best to remain in the air to survey. In addition, I'll send a scout once we leave here. Just make sure not to go ahead of me," she said.[break][break]
The silver owl that the Bull rode upon was faster than her golem, but not by much. Even still, it was enough that it could potentially cause a problem later on. She would have preferred to avoid that either of them pulled too far ahead from the other. Area of effect spells were useful, but they needed to be careful. Lightning could cause a spark, and a spark could cause a fire. His magic was naturally conductive, but that could be hazardous.[break][break]
The best course of action that they could take would be to move with caution and conserve on their area of effect spells, using them only when strictly necessary. If it came down to it, her golems could engage in fights.

Normally, Charles wasn't the type of person to go ahead and take action on his own. Preferring to stay back and enjoy the show. It was clear that the silver mage had changed after he left the Clover Kingdom. He could feel that the Sheeple were a threat that was better to just eliminate. The thought of them possibly attempting to appear again behind his back slightly bothered him. Verena decided to remain on top of her golems and watch over the stampede of sheeple go around the place. Much to the summoner mage's disapproval, he had attacked the stampede using his silver magic. The two silver swords that were sent below the two mages detonated, releasing a field of electricity just below the stampede. This could be assimilated as to missiles hitting their target and delivering their payload. The swords didn't have to directly hit them for the attack to be effective, as the danger from swords came from the lightning effect it had upon getting in contact with a surface instead of the swords themselves. An effective way to trick the enemy about the true nature of the spell. At the end of the day, Verena had decided to attack the stampede and the remaining appleround. It was true, they had no choice, the silver mage didn't want to risk them following them to the next area. A proactive move was unusual on his part, but sometimes being lazy meant that you had to take the quickest route to reduce the amount of effort you do later on. If they had to fight those enemies again later while they already busy fighting another group of enemies, it would only multiply the amount of work they had to do. If he could avoid any possible issues or annoyances later on, then the Black Bull would do it. The golem made out of light was fast, it was impressive how many elements Verena had on her. Her golem, true to its element caught the appleround and crushed it. [break][break] After Verena's golem managed to take out all the enemies. The silver mage turned to look at her as she explained to him that past this current point she didn't know what to expect. "Gotcha... Let's keep flying then." He said with a nod to Verena. It was much safer to continue flying, especially if they didn't what was ahead of them. If necessary, they could go down, but being in the sky gave them better visibility of what was ahead of them. If something were to happen then Charles would shield the two of them with his magic. The silver mage remained on top of the silver owl and made his way towards the next location after the area appeared to be cleared. [break][break] Floor 2, Area 1 [break][break] Leaving the area they were last in. Charles made his way to the next area of the dungeon. One of the first things he felt upon heading to the next place was that it felt a lot hotter. The sun was shining a lot more and the fact that they were flying didn't help a lot. It felt more humid and the air was a lot hotter than in the previous area, at least that's how he felt. He looked below him to find green trees below him, another forest it appeared. The sound of several animals and insects could be heard down there. It was quite hot, although the heat wasn't comparable to what he felt back when he trained with the Captain of the Crimson Lions back in the Volcano Grand Magic Zone where it felt as if he was in an oven. Regardless if it didn't feel as hot as the Grand Magic Zone. Charles removed the black coat that he had on, the fact that it was color black didn't help at all. The silver mage took it off and tied it around his waist to keep the coat on him. He felt a lot more fresh without his coat on him. Briefly looking at Verena, as it was hot, he thought that she should at least remove the coat on her. The last thing Charles needed was for Verena to pass out from heatstroke. "You know... You should consider removing at least the coat on you. This place got hotter than I initially expected." He suggested, continuing to take a look around the place in hopes of finding anything relevant. Not long after he managed to spot a large tree a bit towards the east, it was bigger than the rest of the trees that surrounded them. The silver mage decided to head towards the large tree in an attempt to take a closer look at it, out of curiosity at least. The summoner mage was likely to be interested in such findings as well. Verena didn't exactly mind the heat per se. She had traveled near and far, almost always wearing her coat through sun and rain. It didn't matter. However, there was a difference between dry heat and humid type of heat. It was an entirely different type of discomfort, and it was one that was common in the summertime when coming to the Basin due to its close proximity to the Heart Kingdom, which had a more tropical climate compared to the other kingdoms.[break][break]
It probably wouldn't have been so bad if they were on the ground; there was at least shade. But heat rose, and there was absolutely nothing that she could use for shade when they were flying above most of the trees, getting an excellent view of everything below. The trees were a lush green; not quite as vibrant as before, but more of an intense green. Likely a result of the intense sunlight.[break][break]
Come to think of it, this heat was an irregularity, too. The last room might have been warm, but it was most certainly not anywhere near this hot. There was also a distinct lack of birds in this area; instead, there was only the buzzing of insects. It was as if this was an entirely different ecosystem, despite they hadn't moved that far from the last location. She wasn't sure what was going on...[break][break]
Charles reminded her to take off her coat. Verena was so busy being lost in thought, she hadn't even entertained the idea. "Oh, uh... yes, I suppose that is a good idea," she said.[break][break]
Thinking about it, Charles had already seen her once without her coat. Despite her best attempts at trying to cover it up, she was too slow then. She was sure of that much, at least. Well, it didn't matter. She was growing more comfortable without it now, though it was still a matter of the sake of security it brought her. After unbuttoning it, she had to lift it over her head, before tying it around her dragon's tail so that it would stay secure.[break][break]
Lydia's potion had the markings on her person disappear. To that end, Verena had been a bit more... confident in what she was wearing. Choosing to opt for a strapless dress, it fit loosely just below her shoulders, with sleeves going under. The fabric and color was the same as her jumpsuit, giving the impression that the creator of both outfits were one in the same. The dress went down to the end of her thighs, and it was held together at the legs in a manner similar to a corset, lace being interwoven together to keep it intact. Her black heeled boots covered up the lengthy blood-red socks she wore.[break][break]
Due to this particular manner of dress, however, her shoulders as well as a small bit of her chest was exposed. Not just that, as Verena found comfort in form-fitting clothing, the exact shape and size of her chest was not exactly concealed. Though, with almost all of her outfits, that was always going to be the case. Comfort, to her at least, was everything.[break][break]
BzzzZZZzzz
[break]
That loud, near-deafening sound of the large insects was growing louder. It was concerning, and Verena immediately set her gaze to where that sound came from. It wasn't too long since they had arrived at this location, and in the distance, a large tree was clearly visible, one that not even they were flying above. It seems these bugs seemed to think they were trespassing. "Charles, shield your eyes!" Verena commanded, almost uncharacteristically, waiting just a bit so that the Bull could find some sort of cover for his eyes.[break][break]
"Shine."[break][break]
On cue, her dragon let out a bright, almost violent light that encompassed a large area. This light was more than enough to blind these insects. Even if they had an alternative form of sensory at their disposal, no doubt something this bright given their size was going to cause them serious pain. But her dragons would take quick care of them. "Eliminate them," she ordered.[break][break]
She could tell that these insects were very hostile. From when they first came into sight, it was obvious that they were being territorial, and didn't want them getting near. Even if they were to leave, they would be pursued. Regardless of if they were to blame or not, it didn't matter. They had to be exterminated.[break][break]
Both Flügel on command flew right into the eight massive bees. Their claws were sharp enough to penetrate right through them, impaling them with their knife-like claws. One of them grabbed them by the head, crushing it. The bees were flailing about, which made it a little difficult to actually land a hit in without getting hit. However, her golems were not ordered to be careful this time. To that end, they were more reckless, and one of the bees managed to get a sting on the golem she was on.[break][break]
Of course, that barely stopped the golem she was on from using its jaw to bite through it and practically tear it in half. Meanwhile, the other light golem delivered a punishing tail swipe, taking out two still stunned, but aggravated buzzbills. There were three left, and Verena wasn't near them, being some twenty-two meters while her other light golem was fighting the remaining three. The Flügel over there wasn't focused evading per the order. However, that didn't matter. It was doing a good job at keeping the other bees from getting near Verena. A powerful swipe was narrowly dodged, as two Buzzbil managed to get their stingers in it. However, the difference in ability between mere bugs and a dragon was obvious. The moment they came in close, the wing-like structures managed to toss them back after being hit, and a powerful rotation of its body with arms outstretched managed to not only take out the two that stung it with exceptional speed and send them flying away, but the tail managed to strike the one that was a little further away.[break][break]
It happened in just moments, but all eight bees had been dealt with before they were able to recover from the blind. Verena flew back over to Charles. "Are you okay?" she asked. "I apologize, the blind must have been sudden. Are your eyes okay? Do you want a moment to recover?"[break][break]
She wasn't exactly in any hurry to proceed, after all. Her golems did take some damage, though thankfully they were of a much higher grade. It wasn't going to be so easy for them to actually fall, especially now. Even still, rest might have been a good idea before continuing, and it was an option wholly available to Charles if he wanted. He did use a bit of mana earlier, so it probably wouldn't have hurt to let him rest just a bit more before they continued.

By the looks of it, Verena decided to follow his suggestion and took off some of her clothing. It was hard to believe that someone wore so many layers of clothing on them. To him, it would be uncomfortable, but probably the summoner mage was the opposite to him. It reminded him of Willow who wore multiple layers of clothing for whatever reason, poor girl looked like she was about to pass out from the heat. As the two proceeded to move closer to the large tree in the area. The two mages were welcomed by the annoying sound of large insects buzzing. Arguably the most annoying sound he had heard so far to the point it was irritating. Charles spotted Buzzbill's coming out from the large tree... He sensed there was a nest inside the tree, but it was too late as the mana beasts had now spotted their presence. "Huh?!?" The silver mage had initially heard Verena say something but was unable to hear properly due to the loud buzzing from the bees. A bright light began that filled the entire his eyes blinded him. This made his eyes burn temporarily, as he immediately covered them to further expose himself. It was too late as he was already temporarily blinded by the light that came from Verena's golem. In a way, the Black Bull wasn't completely blinded. As he could still sense his surroundings with Ki. This allowed him to make a mental image of his surroundings. Verena's Ki, her golem, and the mana beasts... He was able to sense them and tell where they were even though he was unable to see them. [break][break] He wasn't the only one blinded, as he could tell that the summoner mage had initially used that in an attempt to blind the buzzbills to get rid of them effectively. Charles was unaware that her light golem had such ability, if he only knew that earlier he would've probably known what to expect. Although, he was unable to see the golem's movements he was able to sense them. The light golem began to fight the vulnerable bees. Despite having been blinded, the bees possessed enough sensory to sense the golem's attacks and fought back. No matter how much they tried, they were no match for Verena's golem. It was penetrating through their defenses and it seemed that the summoner mage had ordered the golem to focus solely on offense as it didn't back up. Instead, it continued attacking until all of them were dead, she probably wanted to get rid of them while they were still blinded. Not long after the battle was finally over, the Black Bull was finally able to open his eyes. Verena flew close to him to ask if she was alright, concerned and apologizing over accidentally blinding him. "Yeah... I'm fine, it was just a bit unexpected. I was unable to hear you properly due to the buzzing from those bees. Just give me a minute..." He said, rubbing his eyes in order to make sure his eyesight was alright. For the most part, he was fine and far better than he was just a few seconds ago. One of the good things that came from this was that he didn't have to attack any of the enemies, so he was able to take a break and regain some of the mana that was lost previously. They still had a long way to go and it would be dangerous if he didn't have any mana left to cast spells. After a few minutes had elapsed, the silver mage looked at Verena now ready to go after taking a break to recover. He should be able to help out the next time they encounter enemies. [break][break] Floor 2, Area 2 [break][break] Charles flew to the next area of the summer floor, which lead to an even bigger meadow compared to the other one. There was not much of a difference from the previous area aside from the large meadow. The heat was still the same with the only difference in the place was that the meadow looked larger. In the distance, the silver mage had spotted a chicken coop which only meant they were some sort of chicken in it, or nearby. He remained wary for any enemies, considering his experiences in the dungeon so far all beasts they had encountered so far were hostiles so he also expected those chickens to be hostile. For an unknown reason, all the animals and mana beasts that they encountered so far treated them as invaders. As the two mages got closer and closer to the chicken coop, several cockatrices had detected their presence. Five of them came out of the coop and looked at the two of them. To make things much worst, four buzzbills came out of a nest that they had on the coop's attic. The buzzbills were now heading towards them. The five cockatrices weren't happy either, as they were going to head towards them at any moment. The silver mage decided to be proactive and attack them first while Verena handled the buzzbills. Two swords made out of silver appeared next to each of his shoulders. "Get them, boys..." The two swords flew towards the cockatrices in an attempt to eliminate all of them at once. The silver swords released an electric field upon impact to the ground, electrocuting the cockatrices. This managed to defeat three of them, but unfortunately for him, two had managed to escape the area of effect spell. The two remaining mana beasts he was fighting targeted him, using their wings to create strong gusts on the wing to try and hit his supplementary construct. Charles was able to feel the incoming gusts of wind created by the two mana beasts. If they hit him, it could potentially hit the construct destroying him or even throwing him off of balance. Thanks to Ki, he was able to notice them and had enough time to respond to them. The silver mage managed two dodge incoming gusts of wind. Now it was his time to counter-attack, unsheathing his sword he held his silver owl with his left hand. While the silver owl got closer to the ground at a high speed in an attempt for him to kill the two enemies that were attacking him. As if he was riding a horse, Charles moved at a high speed holding his sword out. The blue aura emanating from the blade of the sword, releasing two arcs of energy towards the two cockatrices. Slicing them and successfully killing them. The silver owl began to regain attitude after the attack, it was a risky move as one mistake would've resulted in him falling off of his supplementary construct. Regardless, the Black Bull was successful and now awaited for Verena to get rid of the remaining enemies. [break]

Charles seemed alright, but Verena felt bad. She should have given him more warning or attempted to create more golems that wouldn't have put him at risk. He seemed well enough, though the brunette was still very much worried about any possible damage that she might have caused him. The Bull needed a moment to get over the daze, expressing that. Verena hung her head low, clearly feeling bad. She thought she had given him enough time, but it was possible that he didn't have any way to properly shield his eyes.[break][break]
As they were leaving, Verena made sure to stay close. "Again, I'm very sorry... I should have given you more of an advance notice..." she said with her head hung low. "It's a bit late now, but my light golems are capable of emitting a light capable of blinding things. Furthermore, I have several golems that are capable of causing damage around them. I do have a fire golem as well capable of that that has less risk involved in terms of the area it covers, but using it here is probably a very bad idea. The other Flügel sustained a bit of damage. More than I'd like it to have."[break][break]
Verena had little interest in being caught off guard. However, when a chicken coop appeared in the distance after a while of flying, she had to admit she wasn't sure what to make. Chickens were not exactly associated with the forest. They were farm animals. They held little place in the wild. So what was something like that doing here? It was no doubt part of the dungeon, there was no denying that. But it was still quite bizarre.[break][break]
The coop wasn't the only alteration. This space was noticeably larger, though not by too much. It was another open meadow, and it might have just been her, but this space felt even hotter. She really didn't like this heat. If this kept up, she felt she'd be forced to take a shower. This sweat bothered her immensely.[break][break]
Still, it didn't seem that she was going to be able to dwell on this for too much longer. The familiar buzzing sound immediately called for her to take a readied stance, her focus being directed towards the incoming noises. There was also a loud rooster crowing in the distance before the creatures from the coop all rushed out.[break][break]
Charles didn't waste any time. Casting two swords from silver, they tore right through the ground. Like before, that electrical discharge managed to annihilate three of the chicken-like creatures, effectively frying them. It was an exemplary usage of the unique properties of his magic, she felt. It was not something that she could learn. The abnormalities of his magic were not something that she could make her own; she envied that.[break][break]
While Charles focused on the remaining two cockatrices, Verena turned her gaze to the four buzzbill. Verena ordered her Flügel that she was on to move west twenty meters, diving down so that she was just ten meters above the ground, easily putting more distance between her and the incoming swarm. There were no trees around her, and though the grass was high, they were still much higher up than the grass was. There was absolutely no danger whatsoever of causing any fire from this position.[break][break]
A tall, humanoid figure appeared. It was no taller than Ardere Kasai was, using his height as the basis. The commanding presence it exuded. Coal decorated every part of its body, as if substituting for the skin. In addition, it was quite heavily armored, with reinforced pieces of coal that had been finely shaped and decorated around its body.[break][break]
As the buzzbills were quickly on her tail, Verena had a simple command, moving out of the path even further. "Concentrate power in your arm. Target: Bugs. Shoot."[break][break]
There was no cape this time. Nor was there any other decorative trait that was made from the fire that made up its body. Any aspect of that was instead put into the attack. Of course, those two things used such minimal effort that there was no way that it could be used to enhance the attack. It simply allowed her the peace of mind to not accidentally cause anything in fire. Even the heat that it emitted from its body was safely contained, and anything excess was launched up ahead in a gorgeous display of inferno reaching up to twenty meters at an equal speed in a cone-like manner.[break][break]
Sparks didn't fly down, as there was never a spark to begin with. It was pure mana launched upward, invalidating the need for a fuel source. There were no embers that fell as it couldn't be sustained. It had hit nothing but the bugs, and there was not a way for it to strike anything else due to the trajectory being in the sky, ten meters above the grass, without fauna anywhere near this path.[break][break]
The bees had come close, but she had managed to lure them all to her before annihilating them all in one fell swoop. However, she knew that it was too dangerous to keep Bestimmung around for long. As soon as he annihilated the swarm, Verena checked to make sure there wasn't a sign of any fires, sparks, or anything else before dismissing it. It was a bit of a risk, but she had double-checked and made sure to cover all of her bases. If there was even a chance of a fire being started, she quickly used Flügel to down it by stamping it out.[break][break]
Verena glanced over and saw that Charles had managed to take care of the remaining chickens. However, now Verena realized quickly she had made a bit of a mistake. Namely, in her desire to quickly eradicate the bugs, she neglected to think of the heat. Glancing over to Charles, she let out a heavy sigh. "Close your eyes for a moment," she requested.[break][break]
If the Bull did so, Verena quickly cast a small golem. Not one that could be used for any combat. It was lacked any true form, making it unreliable at best in that sense. It was, however, able to use as a makeshift shower, pouring all over her. In addition, it was large enough to drench any embers she might have somehow missed. The result was instant satisfaction, cooling her off in one go. It felt so much better than having to deal with the sweat, too.[break][break]
"Erm... clear, right?" she asked, creating another cloth golem that could be used to wipe herself off.[break][break]
Five cockatrices. Four buzzbill. There didn't seem to be any sign of any other creatures trying to attack them, at least.
Element: Light[break]Rank: Senior[break]Size: Up to 9m[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Type of Golem: Balanced[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems[break]Description: At current, Flügel serves as Verena's primary means of transportation due to the urgency in which it was made. Though she was able to learn Light Magic not too long ago, she was still able to hone what she had learned and fine-tune it into a remarkable golem all the same. The golem is unique compared to her normal humanoids -- this is obviously a dragon.[break][break]The dragon is a bright, almost blinding color. Similar to Verena's other golems, it is armored [Reinforced Golems], but this armor seems less to protect it and more to contain its form. This "armor" is still made from light magic, however, despite being overall being darker in color. However, one can very clearly see bits of light breaking through giving the obvious impression that light can channel through it to enhance its brightness.[break][break]Flügel takes the form of a bipedal dragon, glowing with such an intensity that the armor adorned over its head, neck, shoulders, knees, back and entire tail seem to be created to try to keep it in check. Concentrated throughout its body are orbs of bright light, with the most potent one being directly in the center of its chest. It possesses six wings, with the outside portion of these wings being armored albeit barely. These wings do not function too well as appendages for combat, but they are useful for blocking all the same. Their primary purpose is to channel light (either from itself or around it) to cast a bright light by feeding that energy directly into the "core".[break][break]Flügel's primary objective is to serve as Verena's primary means of transportation, taking advantage of Light magic's boon. To that end, its maximum speed as a result of the rare magic when being used as transportation is [25m/s], and the golem is capable of transporting up to three people at a time. In addition, for every 50 [CON] Verena possesses, she is able to call on another Flügel, per ammo rules.[break][break]Unlike the other golems at Verena's disposal of equal rank, this golem is incapable of ranged attacks. However, it is able to channel the brilliant light in its body to encompass a [40m] area of effect in light. This light is capable of blinding anyone whose [SEN] is 10 or less than Flügel's [POW]; however, once used, those who were affected will have their eyes automatically adjust to that specific intensity after that momentary blindness, and regardless of if more than one was summoned via ammo rules, they will be unable to blind the same person(s) again. If the Flügel is dismissed and then resummoned, however, they will be able to use this ability again. This, combined with its speed allows Verena to make getaways as necessary. However, this golem is still more than capable of fighting, equipped with powerful claws, fangs, and even its six wings are capable of piercing through opponents, all of which deal [Senior] damage.
Element: Fire[break]Rank: Senior[break]Size: Up to 9m[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Type of Golem: Balanced[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems, Ranged Golem[break]Description: Bestimmung's source of inspiration comes from two different people. Valo Stark, and of course, the man who taught her fire magic -- Ardere Kasai. With the Royal Knight Exams upcoming, she sincerely felt the need to create something amazing despite struggling beforehand with a source of inspiration. And so she got to work with its creation.[break][break]The first matter of business that Verena felt was prudent in its creation was that this golem needed to be able to contain the fire, rather than be in a constant state of the inferno. To that end, Bestimmung resembles a tall, humanoid figure made up of coal. Make no mistake though, this golem can and will emit enough heat to set itself ablaze when engaging in combat scenarios. In fact, when fighting does happen, it creates a flaming cape and waist cloth born of the inferno that made it, and its body lights up in accordance to the temperature.[break][break]This coal seems to serve as an armor -- a testament to Verena's durable golems [Reinforced Golems]. This "armor" is adorned as a headpiece across its head, with finely shaped coal lodging out around the neck and shoulders to give it an intimidating look. A chest piece is adorned as well, with charcoal-like markings on it to look the part of flame -- this is, of course, not charcoal, but rather it was simply burned into this piece, as are the ornate pieces going down the sternum and hip around the hips and shoulders. Something resembling a belt is adorned across Bestimmung's waist as are more pieces of charcoal armor -- a testament again to Verena's desire to make durable golems.[break][break]What makes this golem unique is that there were two sources of inspiration for it. Taking in the best of what she learned from both Valo Starrk and Ardere Kasai. As with most golems, this golem is proficient in short-range attacks. When engaging in short-range battle, this golem emits a blue hue and that does seem to be its constant state. It uses its powerful punches and kicks to deal with enemies, dealing [Senior] damage and each hit leaves burns befitting of such. It is capable of striking with enough force to knock back whomever it hits with its melee attacks per knockback rules. This golem prefers to grab onto its opponents and use its whole body to emit heat capable of damage if it manages to grab someone. This blue flame was inspired by Valo Starrk.[break][break]This golem is capable of shooting out fire as well from the palm of its hands. It doesn't take much for it to achieve this, and as such as soon as the command "Shoot" is given, its hand glows with a vibrant red and yellow color before a blast of fire is shot out up to [20m], covering everything directly in front of the golem in that range in heat capable of dealing [Intermediate] damage, and burns of equal intensity. This is not a full circle AOE, but instead only covers everything within that designated AOE in a cone-like fashion, thus not endangering allies who are directly next to or behind Bestimmung. Most importantly to Verena, as these fires are only temporary and cannot be sustained, they are incapable of causing any large-scale fires, burning out quickly after their initial attack.[break][break]Like most golems, additional ones be made via ammo rules, capping out at a total of three additional ones. However, these golems are ill-suited to being used as transportation and as such are not used as such. In addition, this golem is incapable of dealing more than [Senior] damage to a single target.

It seemed like Verena still felt bad about what she did, which is accidentally blinding him with her light golem. Charles was alright and didn't receive any damage aside from losing his eyesight for a moment. There was nothing to be concerned about. He did think that the move was a little reckless, it's not as he could outright call her out for that since he has done his own fair share of reckless actions before. Compared to what he has done before, the summoner mage's actions were pretty minor. "Don't worry about it. I'll keep that in mind for next time." The silver mage kept in mind for next time that Verena's golems were capable of such a thing. At the end of the day, she just picked the fastest choice to get rid of the enemies in front of them. Something he would've probably done as well if the chance presented itself, he didn't blame her over such a simple accident. He was fine now. [break][break] Charles managed to swiftly take out the chickens from the coop. Before they could pose a threat to them while they flying, initially he only had managed to take out three out of the five of them. He finished the other two that remained not long after with his sword. This left Verena to deal with buzzbills, there was a considerable distance between the two mages as the silver mage had descended close to the ground to deal with the two remaining cockatrices. After he was done, in the distance he was able to see fire golem to get rid of the mana beasts. Remembering what she had said before, it seemed like she didn't want to burn anything from the dungeon. Since she was in the sky there was no real danger of her burning anything aside from the enemies she was fighting. The bugs were burned by the power of her golem as the heat from its flames burned them into crisp. It was impressive just how many elements Verena had in store, as she had shown at least three of them already. The Black Bull expected her to have at least a few more other elements that she hasn't thought of using yet. Whether because she had elements more suitable for the current situations or because she was still working on them. After the last four buzzbills were taken out by her. The summoner mage had a strange request which was to close his eyes, even though he didn't know what she was going to do. "Huh? Alright then." For whatever reason, he abided by her request and covered his eyes. While he kept his eyes closed he couldn't see anything, but he could hear something that sounded like water falling? After Verena said she was good to go the silver mage opened his eyes once again. [break][break] Floor 2, Area 3 [break][break] After Verena was done with whatever she had to do. He didn't feel like inquiring as to why she just did as she probably just wanted to keep it private. Charles flew to the next area of the dungeon after making sure they were no enemies left to pursue them. The next area was bigger than the two previous areas they traversed through. Aside from being bigger, the surroundings looked significantly different too. It had a lot more trees, which were different from the ones they saw before. Green and pink colors, there was also a distinct smell in the air, it smelled like sweet flowers followed by vines scattered along the ground. Normally he wouldn't be alerted that, but since they were in a dungeon the sweet smell in the air wasn't something he was fond of. Not in a way that he didn't enjoy it, but since they were in a dungeon it meant that something dangerous was producing it. Maybe as an attempt to lure them into a trap? There was no way to be sure, but he wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. [break]

The two advanced further ahead, heading further east into it. The heat wasn't as bad here, but there was something else different about it. The air was crisp and clean, with the scent of flowers filling it. Fauna of all kinds flourished in this environment, most notably the pink and green flowers that decorated the area beneath her feet... or well, her golems.[break][break]
Both Flügel were still active, though the one she wasn't flying on was notably weakened. Even the one she was on had taken a bit of damage. Though the injuries sustained weren't enough to matter over time. Due to their durable nature, they at least had a bit left to offer, but Verena knew that wouldn't be lasting. Bestimmung was the best fit earlier, but it was simply too risky to rely on that. It would probably be best to shift to a defensive focus for Flügel for the time being.[break][break]
As they progressed further, Verena took notice of something... peculiar. The air was losing some of that clarity that had been present prior. Not much, but enough for her to notice something peculiar. The sound of laughter could be heard, echoing throughout the canopy. The laughter of children. Though it sounded innocent enough, amidst the eerie silence and foreboding nature of something in the air, the heiress did not like it. She didn't like it one bit.[break][break]
Whatever it was causing it wasn't clear in sight yet. That wasn't good. Suddenly, a strong burst of wind came flying from four different sections; two from the east, one northeast, and one south of where Charles and she were at in regards to the dungeon's layout. One gust each from the east was shot towards them, with an additional one being shot from the northeast towards Verena. The one from the south was shot towards Charles. There wasn't any real warning; barely any time to prepare. The best she was able to do was erect two of her walls from Survival Instinct to protect herself and Charles, but she could only cover one side for each in this manner[break][break]
As a result, Verena had no choice but to use the injured Flügel as well to take the incoming hit that was about to hit her. Charles was a defensive mage as well, so she was certain that he could protect himself from the other angle. The wind struck her Flügel right on the money, managing to eliminate it. The threat had gone up dramatically. Verena brought her thumb to her lips, biting down on it, clearly agitated now. In addition, crowing could be heard now as well.[break][break]
"...Charles, I'll cover you. You handle the roosters. I'll eliminate whatever is attacking u-"[break][break]
One of the culprits showed themself, the one from the northeast A small winged creature, less than a meter tall flew around. With wings like a butterfly, but a body wrapped with the love of nature, Verena stared at the small creature. Some sort of fairy? It was clearly a being of nature, but it had a sickening appearance. Around its waist seemed to be some sort of carnivorous plant but these were like petals. The brunette wasn't sure what to make of this.[break][break]
"If it wasn't for the fact we're in a forest, I'd like for nothing more than to burn this down... it's creepy..." Verena thought to herself.[break][break]
Verena had managed to figure out where the attacks were coming from. The issue was what was going on here. These creatures had a clear long-range affinity, actually being capable of using magic and-[break][break]
...Verena placed a hand over her stomach suddenly. Nausea? She glanced around, taking a look at the air. ...Ah. So that's what it was. She had to end this very quickly. It wasn't a choice now.[break][break]
The brunette was going to be expending quite a bit of mana it seemed, but it had to be done. First, she needed to locate the creatures. The first sprite seemed to recognize the danger it was in with the two golems, but though it did manage to launch an attack, Sonia had managed to intercept it via the command. Without any hesitation, Sonia pierced right through it with its claw-like fingers. "Michail, Sonia. Find the other creatures like that in the area. Destroy them. Immediately."[break][break]
Overall, she had only summoned one of each As her superior scouting golem, it wouldn't take much effort for it to be able to track down the creatures. They were too dangerous to be kept around, and neither Charles nor herself could afford to let this battle draw out. The air itself was poisoned, and there were probably a number of other effects that could take effect if this drew on.[break][break]
Michael, however, would excel at exterminating them. He might not have been as fast, but he was more than able to do what was necessary to eliminate them. And so, the hunt began.[break][break]
Verena closed her eyes, focusing. She'd make sure that these sprites wouldn't get a chance to approach Charles as he went after the cockatrice. She focused on the scenery, having her golems keep her aware of things as they pursued the sprites. The first fairy-like creature likely approached them to get some sort of idea of their strength, or to mock them for their foolishness. But given how quickly that she had managed to dispose of it, logically speaking the remaining in this forest would have zero interest in meeting the two head-on.[break][break]
Verena couldn't focus on anything near Charles, but because of Sonia at least, she had a general idea of everything that was going on. There was a little over a twenty-meter distance between Charles and her golems in their search. Sonia was the first to engage one of them, meeting the south-bound one and quickly attacking it before it could properly launch a spell. It did attempt to block the piercing attack from the dord, but it was simply too much.[break][break]
Michael engaged the two directly in the east, though they had moved since then and were now closer to the northeast. Without any hesitation, they tried bombarding him with attacks when he got close, and unfortunately, the lag between conjurer and golem meant that it was possible. However, Verena had one last trick up her sleeve to make sure the Spritely wouldn't be able to get further:[break][break]
"Dirge.[break][break]
A simple command. As the attacks came near, Michael's bladed arm began playing on the string. Intense vibrations began to fill the area, causing the wind to actually die down from the intensity of these vibrations. Music filled the mostly quiet space. A sad song. A tragic song. A song denoting the end. A song denoting that Verena classified these creatures as dangerous, and thus to be exterminated.[break][break]
Though not Clover's dominant religion, there was a far off land where people believed in a God and his angels. Michael was said to be the name of the right hand of that God. Some scripture stated that Michael himself was an instrument of God's destruction. While Verena did not possess a god complex of some sort, she did not like having to directly fight others. That was what her golems were for. As Michael was only used against opponents whom she thought were a danger or if she was upset enough...[break][break]
it was her own instrument of destruction.[break][break]
The build-up of mana was unleashed all at once, spreading out in a twenty-meter radius, blasting away the two sprites and causing a bit of notable damage in the process. While it wasn't the most destructive it could be, it was certainly nothing to scoff at, either. That left Charles to deal with the Cockatrice. If necessary, Verena would have Sonia assist him, as she was closer and faster.[break][break]
Or at least, that would have been the case...[break][break]
Everything had happened so quickly, but why was everything growing dark? Her eyes hurt so much. It was burning. She was so sleepy... so sleepy... she had managed to get some sleep... but... ah... right, the poison. There was poison. It must have been taking effect.[break][break]
Bringing her hand over to her ring, she weakly attempted to spin the ring around her finger, rotating it just barely before falling off Flügel. All of her golems dispersed not long after her collapse. However, with that last bit of push from her, she had managed to do it, her hand outstretched with the ring present as she lay on the grass. It would take just a bit for the healing to take effect and cleanse out the poison and sleepiness.

COMBAT SUMMARY
[break]
[attr="class","verenaver2scroll2"] TL;DR the two get ambushed by the spritelys. four attacks from spritely add on additional affects to both. in addition to what they got when coming in (both rolled a 3 for poison), verena's personal speed was afflicted by 30m/s (technically just lost only 1m/s), and was fighting through fatigue and sleepiness. thankfully her golems move so quickly that they were able to actually defeat the spritelys but she immediately passed out. she realized that poison was in the area pretty quickly given the affect it had on her, and before passed out, turned the ring. needs a bit for the healing / cleansing to take effect. her con is more than 10 points greater than the spritely's power, so taking that into effect, it should heal her by the next round. all of her golems have been dismissed, however.[break][break]
Element: Sound[break]Rank: Senior[break]Size: Up to 3m[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Type of Golem: Scout[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems, Ranged Golems[break]Description: Verena's newest sound golem is, for all intents and purposes, the culmination of what she has been trying to achieve. With excellent sensory skills that far outperform any of her current golems and their incredible speed, Sonia golems represent her first new type of golem: Scout golems.[break][break]Sonia golems take the form of a human skeleton; however there are many differences in the anatomy--rather, instead of bone, various types of metals make up its bones, but all ultimately make up a variety of instruments. The skull is covered in a hard material that offers enhanced protection, but brass encompasses most of it, and piano keys make up its teeth. Inside its mouth is a large sound amplifier that is connected to a large brass pipe that functions as a spine.[break][break]The golems 'ribs' are made up of a variety of pipes and Sonia's shoulders have cymbals protruding them ever so slightly like shoulder spaulders. The sternum looks like a series of clarinets melded together against the pipes, though the topmost pipes connect into these clarinets. Sonia's arms are made up of batons, and its hands are made up of smaller cymbals. Attached to these cymbals are instruments are known as dords.[break][break]Where a stomach would be exists a large drum protected by a series of steel pipes connected. Similar to Sonia's arms, the legs are made up musical batons, with knees that look like very small cymbals as well. Furthermore, it possesses feet that look cymbals and dord-like toes again.[break][break]These golems are incapable of being rid upon, but for every 50 [CON], Verena is capable of summoning an additional Sonia. In addition, these golems are capable of unleashing a sound wave that can reach up to [140m] from Verena's current position relative to their own. In other words, if they are [70m] from Verena, this sound wave is only capable of reaching up to seventy meters from their own position. This sound does not hurt Verena. However, anyone within [20m] will suffer [Intermediate] damage due to the area-of-effect nature of this spell, and these sounds travel at [20m/s].[break][break]Doing so grants the caster awareness of mana signatures nearby. However, this does not allow them to differentiate friend from foe. It does, however, allow them to figure out humans from animals, mana beasts, and other non-human entities (elven and dwarven characters still count as human). This 'scream' implants images in the user's head in a manner similar to echolocation, shaping outlines of the landscape and sending them back to the user. This is solely limited to entities that are not hiding their mana in some way. What the caster does with that information is entirely up to them.[break][break]Due to this ability, these golems are the ideal scouts. With superior range, sensory prowess and speed, information gathering is a breeze when it comes to dealing with her surroundings.[break]
Element: Sound[break]Rank: Senior[break]Size: 9m[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Type of Golem: Balanced[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golem, Ranged Golems[break]Description: Michael is currently the apex of Verena's golem design. Outwardly, one would not be aware that it is a golem made from the sound magic. Michael's body is compromised of material that looks like different types of metals used to create instruments, though slightly rusty in color. It possesses a crimson shoulder spaulder. It is a bipedal golem with fingers, toes, shoulders knees-- for all intents and purposes, this is the closest thing to her ideal she has reached thus far.[break][break]It possesses a single yellow eye--it does have two eye sockets, but the second one is closed and seems scarred for some strange reason. The result of this stemmed from a failure in training. It features a nose and a mouth as well, only furthering Verena's desire to make human-like golems. [break][break]The upper body is connected to a musical instrument known as a shaker--albeit deformed slightly thus giving it a ball-shaped appearance and purple in color. The lower body is partially guarded from the waist down in decoration resembling pteruges, and cut at an angle. The initial idea was taken from the glockenspeil, an instrument that one of her ancestors was known to play, but modified for the purpose of creating this golem.[break][break]That is not the only ability that this golem has, however. Getting to the second and third difference, the right arm of the golem does not possess a hand; instead, its entire arm is a blade--specifically, a blade meant to play across the string in the hollowed cavity in its left part of the chest, as though it was plucking a harp. Of course, it is still capable of using it to cut enemies down for [Senior] damage.[break][break]Upon playing the string in it's chest, anyone (except the caster) within [20m] will hear a beautiful, yet haunting melody. After a slight delay, this song's dangerous nature is revealed. It is infused with mana that is capable of knocking people a considerable distance--[8m], plus an additional 5 for every 10 [POW] Michael has. Anyone who is unable to defend against it will sustain [Intermediate] damage as well. Similarly to the feathers, this is paid by paying mana equal to half of the cost of Michael's summon.[break][break]These golems move at [18m/s] and are capable of transporting up to [3] people. It is capable of limited flight but does not have as much maneuverability due to the single wing.[break][break]This is a different type of golem for Verena. It is intended to take lives.[break]
Elemental Type: Carbon Matter[break]Rank & Spell Type: Senior, Defense Creation & Restraining[break]Range & Speed: 80 m, 40 m/s[break]Mana Cost: 30 (cast) 15 (sustain)[break]Stats Effected: +6 DUR, -20 Mana Regen[break]Applicable Perks: Hazardous Shields, Juggernaut, Mana Prison, Sapping Bonds[break]Description: Upon usage, Verena creates a wall that is 2x4x5 (length x width x height) made of pure carbon and as such is akin to a jet black in color. The wall appears as though it's constantly moving around, and this is in part due to [Juggernaut], as it is capable of, with limited usages, of strengthening itself in what would otherwise tear right through, or damage it to render that damage obsolete. If someone tries to attack the wall, the carbon will react and will spike out, damaging whoever is attacking it equal to [Intermediate] damage thanks to [Hazardous Shield]. In addition, the wall is capable of shooting out a solid "chain" of carbon though, plus one additional chain for every 50 [CON] she has. These chains function in accordance to clashing rules, and cause strain on a person's ability to regenerate their mana, depleting it by 20 (though if their mana regenerative ability is lower, then it will be reduced to 1). If they catch a person, their ability to cast spells is reduced by fifty percent of what would be their normal casting limit. In addition, if they manage to bind someone, their mana will be sapped by ten, giving Verena half of what is drained.

As the two mages continued moving deeper, the smell started to be much more prominent in the area. For some reason, the air began to feel stranger than usual. He could sense something different in the air with his Ki. Although, he was unable to discern the cause behind it. Was it some sort of mana beast? The fact that the air smelled so good since the start was suspicious for him. This wasn't good for the two of them. Suddenly he first a strong burst of wind hit his face, making his silver owl shake uncontrollably from the sudden burst of wind. It was unexpected, but whatever was responsible for this was about to be seen. He could not be hit by a wind gust like that otherwise it could get dangerous. Charles noticed that Verena had created a wall out of carbon matter, which was something he was not expecting to have. He didn't know that the Summoner Mage also had another magic and was able to cast different types of spells with it. Still, in situations like this such things came in handy so it was good to know that she had access to other types of spells. To further reinforce their defenses from the incoming attacks. "Silver Magic: Hero's Silver Shield!" He called out the name of his spell as his grimoire floated next to him. Two silver shields formed around both Verena and Charles, they floated around the two mages emitting sparks of lightning as a defensive measure. Whatever was attacking them, it finally decided to show its face to them. It looked like some sort of butterfly, but at least three times bigger. [break][break] His body began to feel strange, for reason. It felt sleepy, as he could feel some sort of mysterious powder in the air. It meant that those creatures used long-ranged magic and likely how they were feeling was their doing. A curse or hex, maybe? Charles began to feel tired, his skin and eyes began to burn which appeared to be the doing of the powder that those insects. Pain in the ass, that's what those insects were to him. Verena said she was going to handle those weird butterfly mana beasts, he spotted six cockatrices below them. That was dangerous, if they fell down then they would get attacked by them and find themselves vulnerable. Even though he was feeling tired and wanted to take a nap more than ever, he knew the risks of doing so. Two swords made out of silver were sent in the direction of the six cockatrices on the ground below, as they hit the ground lightning came from them like a missile delivering its payload. The cockatrices were electrocuted they were wiped out by the area of effect spell. Around that time Verena did her part and focused on defeating the other enemies. His body was burning from the damage it had taken from the mysterious powder from those mana beasts, aside from that he was feeling extremely tired. As a professional slacker, he was now fighting against the will to fight asleep. He just simply couldn't bring himself to do so, otherwise, it would put him and Verena in danger. If it came to it, he was willing to make a small shard of silver to shock himself just for the sake of keeping himself awake. [break][break] His vision was becoming shaky as it was getting hard to see, but he didn't need it. He could still rely on Ki to look at the area, the only reason he kept his eyes open was to avoid falling asleep by accident. One of the main things that kept him awake was the pain he felt from his mana skin taking damage. Despite having a hard time, it seemed like Verena had managed to take out the spritely with her golems. Barely able to remain awake, it seemed like the Summoner Mage had also been attempting to fight through the fatigue. The silver mage leaned next to his owl as if attempting to rest, without succumbing to the effects of the powder. Charles however noticed that Verena's disappeared only to notice her fall to the grass below him. "...Crap!" Despite feeling fatigued the Black Bull flew all the way to where the Summoner Mage had fallen and landed his owl just a few meters close to where she was. "Agh... Are you okay, Verena?" He grunted, barely able to feel keep himself awake as his body hit the ground. Even with the enemies gone, it seemed like they were still under the effect. "Wake up soon, will ya..." At this point the only thing that kept him awake was his concern for her well-being, otherwise he would've probably fallen asleep. His eyes flickered as if he was trying to fall asleep, but he just couldn't bring himself to do so. Charles took notice of the ring she had on her, it appeared to be healing her. This made him realize that she was probably going to wake up soon. [break]

It took but a moment. It wasn't long. And yet in that single second from when her head fell onto the grass, Verena felt infinity pass in the blink of an eye. A maelstrom of thoughts flooded her mind all at once. What if she didn't wake up? How badly had Charles been hurt? Had he been hurt? She was so focused on the fairy-like creatures she didn't even have the luxury of checking on him. This was her fault. This was all her fault-no.[break][break]
She had to place her faith in this ring, knowing that it possessed some level of healing properties. It likely possessed some level of cleansing as well, given that she was able to run like she did in her match against Griswold. If that was the case, then surely it could wake her up if she did pass out. It possessed a potent healing ability. Of that, she was certain. Now she just needed to-[break][break]
Verena suddenly shot right up, sitting up as she took a deep breath, looking around to better survey her surroundings. Nothing had changed. They were still in the forest. Still in the same area that they had been in. The spritely had dispersed, and there was no sign of anything. All of her golems had dispersed as well. Charles was beside her, and it looked like he was about to collapse from fatigue. The heiress's crimson eyes darted over her right hand. It had been almost a year since this mark appeared on her hand. Almost a year since the Kikka Reclamation effort.[break][break]
...and ultimately, she knew the extent of what this was capable of by now. It wouldn't be enough to rid Charles of these poisons. Its utility was best for finding things... but ultimately, she wasn't a capable enough sensory mage to maximize that usage. It was unfortunate. But, all the same, this mark had drastically improved her mana's regenerative abilities, as well as helping her with one of her biggest weaknesses to date: that being illusions. For that reason, even if she couldn't make full use of its abilities, it was impossibly beneficial ...whatever it was.[break][break]
"Here, Charles," Verena said as she wiggled the ring off her finger as she handed the ring to him, carefully making sure to put it on his pinkie.[break][break]
Verena was much smaller than he was, so trying to put it on any other finger naturally would result in it not fitting. It was still a little small on that finger; loose, but secure enough. She rotated the centerpiece herself, infusing her own mana so that it would heal him as well as cleanse him of the poisons inflicted by the spritelies. However, her own mana didn't exactly appreciate her exerting herself to this extent.[break][break]
If Charles didn't want to, of course, then there was nothing she could really do about that. But either way, whether or not he accepted the offer or not, she put the ring back on her left index finger. It was a useful ring for sure, though for a moment her mind wandered. What was the purpose of Hania putting it on her left ring finger? She had no idea if it was a joke, if he was trying to propose, or something else. She couldn't understand.[break][break]
...But that was a thought not appropriate for the circumstances. That was right. As Verena looked around, she let out a heavy sigh. As cute as everything was, she had forgotten. This was still, for all intents and purposes, a dungeon. Regardless of her own feelings on some of the creatures here, naturally, there would be some that posed a very real threat. She underestimated this dungeon. Her guard had almost completely dropped.[break][break]
...That was a frustrating realization.[break][break]
But another realization was that the leaves had all died out, their colors changing to reds, browns, yellows. Colors of ... autumn. Come to think of it, this room was a lot hotter than the last one, and the last one possessed temperatures that were more indicative of Clover's spring...[break][break]
...[break][break]
"...Ah, I'm starting to understand just what this dungeon is," Verena said under her breath as she stood up to her feet, wobbling around a bit.[break][break]
Verena was a little wobbly, having to use so much of her total mana in such a short amount of time. It was frustrating that it had taken nearly everything out of her just to pull this much off. "Charles, I'm going to be relying on you for the next area," she admitted. "I apologize..."[break][break]
The woman leaned up against a tree, using it to support herself. "I'll be behind you as we advance into the next space. I'm a bit slow though, even when at my best. So I apologize if I hold us back a bit..."[break][break]
Verena's coordination and balance did eventually return as they advanced into the next space. The abruptly changing of the colors of the leaves in the trees as well as the ones that had fallen caused her to eye the area with surprise. Before they got too far into the next part of the forest, Verena outstretched her right hand, using her left hand to press down on the various shapes surrounding the mark, completing the motion in a circular motion. As she did so, thirty-two meters worth of space showed up in a perfect layout of the area, showing the two the layout of a few enemies.[break][break]
"...My sensory isn't anything impressive, but this should at least allow us to see some of the enemies," she admitted.[break][break]
The space was quite expansive, but half of its total reach was now visible. Various other mana signatures popped up on the map that she had created of the space, indicating them as hostile opponents. Though, only three had managed to show up. "I can't attest to how many of them there are, but the location of at least three of them are visible," she said.[break][break]
Verena ideally wanted to wait a bit longer before joining the fight. She had used a bit more mana even now than she had intended, but her stubbornness and desire to be useful was outweighing what was likely for the best. Of course, she had been the one so close to the spritelies without so much as any real plan for dealing with them. One could argue it was inevitable that something like this would happen.

Charles tried his best to remain awake, he was feeling extremely fatigued. As if he had spent an entire running around and constantly fighting something. He was relieved to notice a ring on Verena, he was able to sense that it was healing her. Truth was that he didn't know what to do if the summoner mage somehow fell asleep and was unable to wake up. Although he doubted that the effects of the powder would last forever, it was uncertain how long would they last without a proper healing spell. Moving on to another area that was unclear with Verena unconscious was going to be risky. If necessary he would've been able to shield her, but in his current fatigued state, it wouldn't have been effective. The silver mage wasn't that reckless nor would he put her in danger, as careless as he may appear. As tired as he was, he managed to spot Verena waking up from her sleep. He sighed of relief, looking at her and greeting her. "Yo... You're finally awake..." Just by hearing him, it was clear that he sounded extremely tired, much tired than he normally sounded like if you could say that. It seemed as if he was going to pass out at any moment. His concern wasn't visible on his face, but one could tell since he was next to her waiting to wake up. At this moment Charles was in love... In love with the ground because he saw it as a comfortable place where he could rest his face. He looked at the ground as Verena placed a ring on his pinkie and rotated it. "Thanks..." The silver mage thanked Verena as he felt the healing properties of the ring cleanse the effects of the spritely's powder and heal his damaged mana skin. [break][break] After a few minutes of waiting, the fatigue began to clear out and Charles was starting to feel a lot better than he used to. The silver mage had briefly closed his eyes in order to rest for a moment before opening them again. "It would be nice if I could continue resting, but I can't do that here as much as I wanted to... Anyway, thank you, Verena." Now that he had been healed from the effects of the powder Charles took the ring and gave it back to her. It was nice for her to caring a ring with healing properties otherwise who knows what would've happened. The silver mage noticed that the summoner looked tired, she looked wobbly, and even after having passed out she still seemed tired after everything that had occurred. Verena's body appeared to have a weak constitution and she had poor stamina, at least that's what he thought. As she always walked rather slower than him or the rest of the people that he knew. Her body was probably not adapted to things like this, not that he blamed her though. "...Hm? Yeah, I noticed you look tired. Eh, don't worry about it. Get yourself a small break, everyone needs one every now and then. That's fine... Go ahead and relax, with you behind, at least I'll be able to react first if there are any enemies ahead of us." He reassured Verena to take a break, he could take things ahead of them for the time being. As she stated that her sensory abilities weren't that great and neither was his. Charles relied on Ki when it came to tracking things, but even then he wasn't that good yet. Verena had used an item that created a map that allowed them to track anything within thirty-two meters, which was a fair share of distance. It would allow for good tracking and preparation for any attacks. "Good enough. At least I'll be ready for any surprises that come along the way..." [break][break] Floor 3, Area 1 [break][break] Moving to the next place, the Autumn season. The place was significantly different from the two previous areas, at least that's what he thought. The changes were a lot more visible to him than the previous ones. The leaves began to turn orange and red, falling all over the place. It was the sign that Winter was coming soon. The place was slightly darker and colder than the previous two. Especially compared to the previous area they were in, the place was significantly was much colder. By now he had deduced that the dungeon was something like the four seasons of the year. Spring, Summer, Autumn, the one they were currently in... This means that there was one more season left after this, Winter. Charles untied the coat that was around his waist and placed it on him. It was cold now and if he was right about what he thinks the dungeon really is, then it was about to get much colder soon. The two mages were welcomed by a damp and rocky place that was slightly larger than the two previous places they were in. The rocks around had moss on them. However, one thing, in particular, grabbed his attention, it was the mushroom, they seemed suspicious to him. A moment later the mushrooms woke up from their slumber and looked at him. "So I was right, huh..." He told to himself, unsheathing his sword as he grimoire came out from his holster and floated next to him. Charles wanted to make sure to keep his distance as he didn't want them to get too close to him and especially close to Verena who was tired. Two swords made out of silver formed behind him, unleashing them to a group of mushrooms that were 20 meters away from him, since Verena was behind him there was no risk of her getting hit by his spell either. The ground below the three mushrooms was electrified, the fact that the place was wet didn't help their case either. The three mushrooms were toasted, but he sensed three other mushrooms remained. The last three mushrooms began to approach him, the silver mage didn't want them to get any closer. A two pale blue arc of energy were released from the blade of his sword. The two mushrooms that were bouncing towards his location were slashed in half, releasing what appeared to spores. Fortunately, neither of the two was close to them, so they probably wouldn't be affected by the spores. Now a single mushroom remained, the Black Bull stomped the ground releasing a large silver spike right in front of the last remaining mushroom as it was bouncing towards them. Impaling it mid-air and killing it. "That's all of them, I don't sense any of them. Anyway, try to keep your distance from those mushrooms. I was able to sense them releasing some spores after they were killed, it's likely they are poisonous just like the powder of the previous beasts we fought." He said, recalling the moment the two fought the spritely that released a mysterious powder that hurt them and made them feel tired. [break]
