[attr="class","glentext"] The entire dungeon was extremely draining, both physically and mentally. He hadn't gone through something like that before, with the only contender being Kikka. Waves and waves of enemies... It had all been a pain in the ass for him, Verena was probably just as exhausted as him, if not more. Even if they took a few breaks, but that wasn't much, it was just for the sake of regaining their mana. The dungeon proved to be a lot more difficult than Charles initially had anticipated, this was partially his fault for not expecting it. They were now heading towards the end of the dungeon, the last push, the last go. The summoner mage was as determined as him in finishing the dungeon. It was too late to go back, they had to finish this once and for all. [break][break] In his eyes, Verena was a capable mage with her strengths and weaknesses, but that applied to just about every mage in the Kingdom. Nobody was perfect and everyone was flawed one way or another. He believed that the summoner mage would be able to get past her obstacle at some point, she had noble ideals that were worth pursuing. Verena was now one of the few nobles in the Kingdom he respected. [break][break] The new and last room of the dungeon was certainly different from the rest, it didn't pertain a specific season, but Mother Nature and other two guardians were found there. This answered the question as to why they didn't encounter the two guardians earlier on, but just the Fall and Winter Guardians instead. They've been waiting for them all along, with three powerful enemies there. Charles could only figure out that it was going to be much harder than the previous battles. They were actually fooled into believing that the Winter Season was the last area. For a brief moment the silver mage had believed that everything was over, until he saw the last room appear before his eyes. Verena seemed convinced as well, so both mages had been fooled. He wasn't happy at all about that revelation, but it's not like complaining would fix much at this point. The best they could was two defeat the enemies, he had enough magical energy to wrap things up. [break][break] "Alright... I'll do what I can... Gotta admit that they fooled me fora moment. Anyway, this is the last push..." He said, as he turned to look at the tree, Mother Nature. Charles's grimoire floated next to him as he prepared to jump into battle for one last time. Allmother Nature attempted to attack first and restrain him using her roots that rose up from the ground. The silver mage managed to sense the roots through Ki and moved aside, managing to dodge the attack that could've otherwise been lethal. He placed his hand on the ground, as large silver spikes formed towards the ground and made their way towards Mother Nature, successfully hitting her. The large chunks of silver hit some of her branches and cut them off from the force and sharpness the silver had. She was damaged, but she was still able to fight, which was problematic. Mother Nature carried on her attack as she shot seeds towards him. He managed to luckily avoid them, but something he didn't know was that the seeds exploded into thorns. One of the torns managed to hit him on his right arm. Fortunately, his mana skin protected him, but he still felt the pain. [break][break] "Well... That hurt..." He said, focusing once again on the large tree he was fighting. It was time for a counter attack, one of the advantages was that Mother Nature was a large target and not fast at all compared to the previous guardians that were much smaller in size, but faster. That complicated things for him, but in this case it was much easier. Charles moved his hand in front of Mother Nature. Sparks of electricity came out of his hand, followed by several small shards made out of silver. He aimed to the tree's chest. The shards penetrated through her branches, at last, she was defeated. Now the rest was up for Verena as the main boss was defeated, but he knew for a fact that the two guardians wouldn't be easy to defeat. He still had some mana on him, so if necessary he could assist her, but he would only interfere if she asked to do so. [break]

While Charles was focused on the tree, Verena was more focused on the Guardians. She had made sure to split up from Charles, using Terra to get twenty-three meters away from the Bull during this process. Both guardians attempted engage Charles from his initial assault, but Verena immediately responded by creating a wall directly in front of the two deer by declaring her Carbon Magic: Survival Instincts spell. In doing so, she managed to block off the Bull from initial sight so that she herself would be the primary focus of their initial attack.[break][break]
The two guardians seemed to understand what she was insisting here. That she would be their opponents. There didn't seem to be any hesitation from them as a result. Immediately, the Spring Guardian took a simple step as it advanced towards Verena, joined by the Summer Guardian as well. A maelstrom of flower petals suddenly surrounded the area, and with it a new sensation affected Verena.[break][break]
"We aren't the enemy."[break][break]
"He is."[break][break]
"We are protectors of nature, guardians of this forest. He's hurt more than enough. You who claim to love this forest -- help us protect it."[break][break]
No. This wasn't right. She knew it wasn't right. But that compulsion... this was a trick. Surely. It had to be a trick.[break][break]
Immediately, the brunette dismissed Terra, realizing that it was simply too dangerous to let her golem fight as it was as she fell to the ground. This illusion was ... very dangerous. Even now, she felt her will to fight the Guardians be falter and her will to confront Charles grow. This was likely a terrible assessment on her half.[break][break]
"Summoner Creation Magic: Sonia. Summoner Creation Magic: Michael," the woman declared, actively resisting the impulse to look Charles way.[break][break]
"Defeat the bucks. Punch, kick, claw, slash, disorientate, ranged attacks -- use everything at your disposal if they are in range. Maximum priority on offense." she said through grit teeth.[break][break]
The issue with the illusion she was under right now was that it was trying to quite literally rewrite her perceptions. The words repeated in her head over and over again, whittling down on her. She knew if she even so much glanced at Charles that it would be over, and she would shift her focus on him while the illusion was still in tact. That could not happen.[break][break]
The Spring Guardian had to be defeated at all costs.[break][break]
She couldn't even order her golems as well as she could under normal circumstances due to all of her energy being spent on trying to resist the effects of the illusion. She was grateful that the illusion didn't do this while also erasing their existance from the vision.[break][break]
Her golems charged forth towards the two Guardians, with both golems utilizing their ranged attacks to the deer. However, Sonia's was a complete waste of her mana, doing absolutely nothing to the two bucks. Michail's however, was enough to cause noticeable damage to them both, flinging them back a considerable distance once they were in range.[break][break]
This was just another example of how potent these illusions were to her; she wouldn't have wasted her mana in this method if she thought it wouldn't work. She was usually the sort to spend more mana than necessary to accomplish something. But that wasn't going to be the case here.[break][break]
At least her golems had "backup", as there were multiple Sonia present, turning it into effectively a four versus two match up, not counting Verena herself.[break][break]
The two Guardians were launched back into the walls that she had created to cover Charles from their sight, and in doing so, she took this chance to use the Restraints to try to create a suprrise attack from a point blank method. Doing so allowed her to recover a slight fraction of what she had paid, and she was already on the brink of collapse from exhaustion. Willpower was what she had in spades at least.[break][break]
Sonia advanced further, the two Sound golems being much faster comparatively than all creatures present, landing in two hits against the two bucks before they could properly get back to their feet. Between the surprise of the restraints and the speed of the sound golems, they barely had a chance to get back up to their feet before Michael was on them.[break][break]
The Summer Guardian tried launching its barrage of leaves right at Michael, but this barely detered its course, due to the maximum focus on offense, cleanly penetrating the body of the Spring Guardian without so much as flinching. Meanwhile the additional Sonia were back on the Summer Guardian, gradually weakening it enough to Michael to turn around and sever that one as well.[break][break]
It was done. Over. The dungeon was finished.[break][break]
Verena let out a sigh of relief. "Finally..." she mused. She didn't exactly like this feeling of being pushed this hard when it wasn't sparring. That was too scary.

COMBAT SUMMARY
[break]
[attr="class","verenaver2scroll2"] TL;DRverena didn't have fierce golems or grand in this dungeon, so her golems don't get boons to power beyond puppet master, reinforced golems, or affinity bonuses.
Spring Guardian: 0/1[break] Summer Guardian: 0/1[break] Allmother Nature 0/1
Elemental Type: Carbon Matter[break] Rank & Spell Type: Senior, Defense Creation & Restraining[break] Range & Speed: 80 m, 40 m/s[break] Mana Cost: 30 (cast) 15 (sustain)[break] Stats Effected: +9 DUR, -15 Mana Regen[break] Applicable Perks: Hazardous Shields, Juggernaut, Sapping Bonds[break] Description: Upon saying the spells name, Verena creates a wall that is 2x4x5 (length x width x height) made of pure carbon and as such is akin to a jet black in color. The wall appears as though it's constantly moving around, and this is in part due to [Juggernaut], as it is capable of, with limited usages, of strengthening itself in what would otherwise tear right through, or damage it to render that damage obsolete. If someone tries to attack the wall, the carbon will react and will spike out, damaging whoever is attacking it equal to [Intermediate] damage thanks to [Hazardous Shield]. In addition, the wall is capable of shooting out a solid "chain" of carbon though, plus one additional chain for every 50 [CON] she has. These chains function in accordance to clashing rules, and cause strain on a person's ability to regenerate their mana, depleting it by 15 (though if their mana regenerative ability is lower, then it will be reduced to 1). If they catch a person, their ability to cast spells is reduced by fifty percent of what would be their normal casting limit. In addition, if they manage to bind someone, their mana will be sapped by ten, giving Verena half of what is drained.
Element: Sound[break]Rank: Senior[break]Size: Up to 3m[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Type of Golem: Scout[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems, Ranged Golems, Fierce Golems[break]Description: Upon saying the spells name, a musical skeleton appears. Verena's newest sound golem is, for all intents and purposes, the culmination of what she has been trying to achieve. With excellent sensory skills that far outperform any of her current golems and their incredible speed, Sonia golems represent her first new type of golem: Scout golems.[break][break]Sonia golems take the form of a human skeleton; however there are many differences in the anatomy--rather, instead of bone, various types of metals make up its bones, but all ultimately make up a variety of instruments. The skull is covered in a hard material that offers enhanced protection, but brass encompasses most of it, and piano keys make up its teeth. Inside its mouth is a large sound amplifier that is connected to a large brass pipe that functions as a spine.[break][break]The golems 'ribs' are made up of a variety of pipes and Sonia's shoulders have cymbals protruding them ever so slightly like shoulder spaulders. The sternum looks like a series of clarinets melded together against the pipes, though the topmost pipes connect into these clarinets. Sonia's arms are made up of batons, and its hands are made up of smaller cymbals. Attached to these cymbals are instruments are known as dords.[break][break]Where a stomach would be exists a large drum protected by a series of steel pipes connected. Similar to Sonia's arms, the legs are made up musical batons, with knees that look like very small cymbals as well. Furthermore, it possesses feet that look cymbals and dord-like toes again.[break][break]These golems are incapable of being rid upon, but for every 50 [CON], Verena is capable of summoning an additional Sonia. In addition, these golems are capable of unleashing a sound wave that can reach up to [140m] from Verena's current position relative to their own. In other words, if they are [70m] from Verena, this sound wave is only capable of reaching up to seventy meters from their own position. This sound does not hurt Verena. However, anyone within [20m] will suffer [Intermediate] damage due to the area-of-effect nature of this spell, and these sounds travel at [20m/s].[break][break]Doing so grants the caster awareness of mana signatures nearby. However, this does not allow them to differentiate friend from foe. It does, however, allow them to figure out humans from animals, mana beasts, and other non-human entities (elven and dwarven characters still count as human). This 'scream' implants images in the user's head in a manner similar to echolocation, shaping outlines of the landscape and sending them back to the user. This is solely limited to entities that are not hiding their mana in some way. What the caster does with that information is entirely up to them.[break][break]Due to this ability, these golems are the ideal scouts. With superior range, sensory prowess and speed, information gathering is a breeze when it comes to dealing with her surroundings.[break]
Element: Sound[break]Rank: Senior[break]Size: 9m[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Type of Golem: Balanced[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golem, Ranged Golems, Fierce Golems[break]Description: Upon saying the spell's name, a golem that inspires dread appears. Michael is currently the apex of Verena's golem design. Outwardly, one would not be aware that it is a golem made from the sound magic. Michael's body is compromised of material that looks like different types of metals used to create instruments, though slightly rusty in color. It possesses a crimson shoulder spaulder. It is a bipedal golem with fingers, toes, shoulders knees-- for all intents and purposes, this is the closest thing to her ideal she has reached thus far.[break][break]It possesses a single yellow eye--it does have two eye sockets, but the second one is closed and seems scarred for some strange reason. The result of this stemmed from a failure in training. It features a nose and a mouth as well, only furthering Verena's desire to make human-like golems.[break][break]The upper body is connected to a musical instrument known as a shaker--albeit deformed slightly thus giving it a ball-shaped appearance and purple in color. The lower body is partially guarded from the waist down in decoration resembling pteruges, and cut at an angle. The initial idea was taken from the glockenspeil, an instrument that one of her ancestors was known to play, but modified for the purpose of creating this golem.[break][break]That is not the only ability that this golem has, however. Getting to the second and third difference, the right arm of the golem does not possess a hand; instead, its entire arm is a blade--specifically, a blade meant to play across the string in the hollowed cavity in its left part of the chest, as though it was plucking a harp. Of course, it is still capable of using it to cut enemies down for [Senior] damage.[break][break]Upon playing the string in it's chest, anyone (except the caster) within [20m] will hear a beautiful, yet haunting melody. After a slight delay, this song's dangerous nature is revealed. It is infused with mana that is capable of knocking people a considerable distance--[8m], plus an additional 5 for every 10 [POW] Michael has. Anyone who is unable to defend against it will sustain [Intermediate] damage as well. Similarly to the feathers, this is paid by paying mana equal to half of the cost of Michael's summon. These golems move at [18m/s] and are capable of transporting up to [3] people. It is capable of limited flight but does not have as much maneuverability due to the single wing.[break][break]This is a different type of golem for Verena. It is intended to take lives.[break]

[attr="class","glentext"] After having defeated Allmother Nature, Charles shifted his attention to Verena's battle with the two other guardians. He kept an eye out for anything that may occur. The silver mage allowed the summoner mage to handle the two guardians as she would probably prefer for him not to interrupt. If she needed his help then she can just call him, simple as that, otherwise, he would just let the battle come to its conclusion, Verena was capable enough of defeating them with her golems. For a brief moment, he could sense something was off with her. She seemed to be struggling in some sort of way, yet she didn't say anything aside from keeping her eyes on the battle. Perhaps it was an illusion? It was a possibility and that's why she was struggling, it was probably something that he was not able to detect properly even with his Ki. [break][break] After the rather strange and long battle, it was finally over. Charles sighed of relief upon seeing the last two guardians be defeated. It was finally done, he could head home and call it a day. He was tired and Verena was too, such a fight took a toll on both of them physically and mentally. The silver mage briefly closed his eyes, everything was clear, they were no enemies, nothing that could be sensed in their surroundings, aside from Verena's presence. After opening his eyes, the silver mage was met by a blinding light, once he was able to see, the Black Bull noticed they were now at the entrance of the dungeon. This signified that they had successfully completed it and he was happy about that. [break][break] "This is the most tiring thing I've done in a while... At least it's finally over... He said, turning to look at Verena, before looking at his surroundings. It was good to know they were back at the entrance of the dungeon, for a moment he was worried that he would have to head all the way back to the entrance to get back home. This made things a lot easier for him, he was tired and his laziness didn't particularly help at all. "Well then... It was interesting to do this with you, Verena. It's unfortunate it didn't end nicely, but well, nothing can be done about it. The silver mage yawned and turned to look at the opposite side of the entrance of the dungeon. Charles eventually headed out of the place, waving goodbye to Verena as he walked away. The first thing on his mind was to get some and food if possible. [break][break] [Exit Thread] [break]

Verena nodded her head, agreeing with his sentiment about how tiring it was. What started off as exceptionally easy suddenly grew exponentially difficult. It might have been easy at first, but it almost seemingly grew more difficult. It was an incredibly dangerous and deceptive dungeon. It was easily the most difficult dungeon she had ever been on to date. The one with Satori might have been comparable, but it was infinitely easy just by nature of him being there.[break][break]
This? She hadn't been pushed this hard this much by a dungeon. She was exhausted, nearly collapsing on the ground at the end as she was panting. She dismissed all of her golems at the end so she could try to regain as much of her mana as possible.[break][break]
"...This was good exercise," she admitted between her huffed breaths. "Frustrating though. I realized a lot of my own weaknesses. I have got a long ways to go still."
It wasn't enough. It probably never would be as far as she was concerned.[break][break]
Looking over to Charles when he spoke again, she managed to speak up again. "It was... certainly something," she admitted. "But it was nice to have your company again, Charles. I hope to see more of you in the future."[break][break]
The brunette would get up in a bit. She just wanted to lay down for a moment. She'd leave very shortly. For now, Verena just wanted to reflect and ruminate over everything that she had seen. These Seasons were... beautiful.[break][break]
But that beauty was deceptive, and for anyone who wasn't careful, it could very easily be their end. She was blessed with plenty of mana at the very least. But... she needed to be more cautious in the future. She simply got lucky for now. After a moment of rest, the brunette made sure to grab her own share of the treasure that appeared at the end, and made her way out.
