Description: The basic spell Zaven learned when he received his grimoire. Purely offensive in nature, it is a spell that creates a ball of swirling shadow mana that has a circumference of 9.25 inches that can be directed at the target causing [Junior] rank damage as when struck the shadow begins to spread across the target's body almost like fire dissipating over a cold surface.
Ammo: For every 10 the User has in Control they can summon an additional Shadow Strike.
Knock Back: If successful a successful hit occurs the target will be knocked back 2 meters. Additionally, the target can be pushed 5 meters for every 10 points the caster has in power.

The scene to anyone on the outside of the spell will see their vision fill with a field of shadows causing pseudo darkness to appear even in broad daylight as anyone not protected by the caster experiences their shadows begin to be torn from their body and soul causing psychological trauma and strain on the body.
The target(s) experience [INTERMEDIATE] Rank damage as long as they are in the AoE.
If the target cannot handle the attack and perishes in the AoE then their shadow joins with the Natural shadow mana that resides inside the grimoire.

When it lands the shadow spreads out in a wide area as the eerie roar of something from another plane of existence can be heard. A moment later, or can even be prolonged for a total of one post before a giant maw of a dragon rises up from the ground that will clamp its maw closed as the shadow mana rends the target on the inside of the dragon’s maw.

To see through this illusion a mage would need 175 sensory, which will be decreased by a set base amount if used against a sensory mage, this spell will also be reduced by 2 for each round the spell is sustained. With the use of ammo rules and the careful perk Zaven is able to avoid affecting his own allies with this spell.

An adventurer, long seeking the treasure trove of the lava dragon, had sought to create a small party to try and sneak into the dragon's den. The Shadow mage, chief among them, would be the first to fall - greed was unforgiving.
A recent stirring. The shadow mana calling out to a new owner. The long coat had been laying in the den of the dragon for almost nine centuries. Atlantis has waged many wars in the past, but one King, forgotten by name, wielded a weapon so terrifying that the men and women of his own army gave it the name “Catastrophe.” A weapon that glowed a menacing orange and red light in the darkness, making the King a horrifying enemy and a target, easy to spot. But the wielder had no fear, for when the enemies approached, he could slow them in their tracks and take care of them before they could utter their own names. Any enemy to Atlantis had the land grow hot, the lakes and rivers turn dry and their crops grow scarce when angering the King, and while his own people loved him, the other nations called him a Tyrant, able to control the weather gods. While the answer was much simpler, in the hidden magic of the great axe, the details were learned much later by Atlantean scholars, who then threw it into the Royal Treasury, hiding it from light evermore. Until now.
The great axe that feeds on moisture and mana, Catastrophe is a horrifying weapon to behold coming towards you from the other side of the battlefield. With its shape being built of mana-reinforced ancient metals of two different kinds, the weapon has two very different melting points, allowing for the edges to grow hot enough to glow, while the base remains stable. It is a heavy weapon, impossible to pick up by most and requiring years of training to achieve true finesse and control over it’s abilities. The leather wraps around the large hilt provide much space for manoeuvring while the spiky back is just as sharp as the front, giving Catastrophe a small potential for stabbing.

The user of the Catastrophe weapon automatically attains the Battle Knight Perk as the weapon’s mana blends in with their own and unlocks new pathways for them.
