Echo, Zeus, Thalia would find themselves within the royal capital, as the group was out buying Echo a new wardrobe befitting the heir of a noble family. They had visited many stores but Echo could not find anything that he liked all too much. The problem wasn’t that the clothes weren’t really his style but it was something else. After they exited the 6th store still without anything to show for his efforts Echo would let out a rather loud sigh. “None of these stores have anything I want man… I need something green like my old shirt, something not all fancy and noble like.”
Zeus would look to Echo before saying “Maybe you are trying to hold onto the old you too much? I understand you like green because it represents the hunting ground of our family, but this is a new day right? Although we had to lose my dear mother Melissa, spirits rest her soul… However we should do things differently. Look at your father and me we wear very simple clothes, but they are still fitting to our noble class. May I suggest you start with a simple white t shirt, and start layering on from there.” Thalia would also look to Echo before saying “Man oh man just let me do it. You boys have no sense of style.”
Thalia would then usher the boys into the next clothing store she seen, where she would then quickly grab a black jacket with fur around the hood, a white t shirt, some black pants, and a pair of black boots. She would then push the items onto Echo before pushing Echo and the items into the changing room saying “Here hurry up and make it work!” Echo would put the clothes on before coming out and looking at his two companions saying “So how does this look?” They would both look at him and smile before yelling out in unison “ITS PERFECT!”
Echo would then smile before walking to the counter and dropping a small bag of money on the counter. He would then pull out a cigarette and place it in his mouth saying “Yeah I don’t know how much this stuff cost but this should be more than enough. I even left a tip for whoever has to clean up, because I left my old clothes in the changing room. You can throw them away I just wanted to let go of the old me.” He would use his magic to spark the cigarette while still in the store before turning around and looking to Zeus and Thalia saying “Come on you two lets go.” The three would then walk out of the store together heading on their way.
After they walked out the store Echo would take a pull from his cigarette, while not paying attention to where he was walking and he would bump into a group of men. The men seemed like the less than reasonable type so Echo had an idea of where things were about to go. He would pull the cigarette one more time before taking it from his mouth and holding it in his hand saying “My bad fellas wasn’t paying attention.” The leader of the group of 5 men would then say to Echo “You damn stupid kid! You better learn to respect your betters. Hey boys lets teach them a lesson, we can take the little cute girl home with us though so lets not rough her up too bad.”
Echo would scoff before looking to Zeus seeing him cloth on his sword, which would prompt him to hold his arm out to hold the man’s blade in its sheath. He would throw the still burning cigarette at the leader of the group before saying “Im already dealing with a lot but lets not get caught up for a murder in the capital Zeus.” The red head mage would spring into action going and began to fight the 5 men by himself. The odds did not seem all too well in Echo’s favor and so Zeus and Thalia had momentarily jumped in before some magic knights would come and use restraining magic to tie everyone present up. Not long after that another mage would come and use a spell to put them to sleep, which was most likely to make transportation easier.
When Echo and his friends had woke up, they were inside what he thought was magic knight headquarters. He would be inside a room with another male who was seemingly a low ranking magic knight who most likely worked desk duty. He would look at Echo as he had just woken up saying “Ok I’ll get straight to the point. You are Echo Jaegar correct?” Echo would smile before trying to reach for a cigarette but he realized his arms were still bound. He would then simply look at the man before saying “Yes I am Echo how can I help you Mr Knight?” The knight would look at him saying “You’re a noble so we won’t do anything serious for a little street fight. And according to witnesses you were trying to protect your friends, and nobody was hurt but we are going to let you off with a warning and a small fine to your family. However you will be spending a bit of time here unless you wanna make a deal.” The man would then release Echo from his bindings. The young red head would then rub his arms and wrist before saying “What kind of deal you talking? I rather not sit in a cell too long over a petty fight.”
The magic knight would then tell Echo “If you wanna put that magic to work, go join the magic knights. The entrance exam is in a few days but im sure you can handle such a thing on short notice.” Echo would scoff as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it saying “Yeah sure whatever I’ll go join your fairy tale knight bullshit exam. Now am I free to go? Also where are my friends? If you are letting me go send them outside to meet me.” The magic knight would snarl before saying “Yeah ok whatever, I ‘ll be at those exams for guard duty… if I don’t see you there I’ll come to your family estate to come lock you up.” Echo would ignore the man as he would walk out simply saying “A promise from a Jaegar is truth…” but only loud enough for himself to hear.
