A small tournament of ranged magic seems to be going on in Rague to entertain the tourists. The Magic knights are hosting it and have asked for each squad to send forwards a representative.

[attr="class","silasreescroll"]There was a small magic tournament in Raque. The whole objective of this little tournament was to entertain tourists. Each squad was supposed to send a representative who would participate in the tournament however the very nature of such an event didn’t seem ideal to some people. There was some skepticism amongst some of the Crimson Lions which was somewhat shocking since they were more of a combat focused squad.

Seeing this as an opportunity to get stronger as well as give back to the kingdom, Taiyo accepted the job. This will be a good opportunity. We will be entertaining guests and also showing the people that they can trust in us. With a grin, the young vermillion decided to let the important people know that he would be the Crimson Lions’ Representative. After writing the organizers, he stamped it with the official Vermillion stamp. Sending it off, Taiyo got up to prepare himself for the coming tournament. His hand rested at his side, slightly above his sword, Anguirel.

On arrival, he saw members from different squads. He couldn’t wait to show off what he could do. Of course, there was the wait he had to endure due to the process of selecting who would be fighting who. As the matches were decided, the battles were announced and each person had to fight 2 other guys. For Taiyo, he would be facing a Coral Peacock and a Green Praying Mantis. The first match was a match between a Blue Rose Knight and a Black Bull. Though it was interesting, Taiyo was waiting impatiently; ready to have his own fight. Even so he had to sit through this fight and then another fight before his first one. With the first fight on the way, Taiyo watched diligently, seeing that the Magic Knights that were fighting could one day have to partner with him. Knowing how they battled and used their magic, it would help with how well they would work together.

The Blue Rose Knight was a user of Fire magic while the Black Bull was a user of Earth magic. Though the clash of these magics were mostly equal, the fight didn’t last long. The winner was the Blue Rose Knight. The next match was a Silver Eagle versus a Golden Dawn member. This match lasted longer than the first and showcased what happens when elites go toe to toe. Even so, one of them had to lose. The Golden Dawn mage took the win which left the Silver Eagle mage in an uproar.

Finally, it was his time to shine. Taiyo Vermilion of the Crimson Lions VS Corelius Finster of the Coral Peacocks. Getting ready to face Corelius, Taiyo walked out to the arena area. He had his grimoire ready and his sword at his side. All that was left was the fight itself. Let’s both do our best out there!

The young Vermilion heir has shown himself to be lackluster within certain arts many nobles are taught since childhood. This, however, didn't mean he didn't want to make up for his shortcomings and so requested the head of the Ravencrest to become his tutor when it came to the art of swordplay. [break][break]
Upon their first lesson, the pink-haired head of the Ravencrest couldn't believe just what kind of blade he decided to turn up with and strapped to his back no less. She was less than impressed and so had a new longsword crafted using the techniques only known to those within the family, upon completion Lydia gifted the sword to her student in the hopes he would start to understand his role within the family and the appearances that he had to keep due to it. This blade of the sword is black with golden accents across the fuller of the sword. The grip is long and carries a pummel at the bottom while the cross guard has a blue diamond in the center. The scabbard of the sword also keeps with the color scheme of black with gold accents. The blade of the sword is 44 inches long while the grip is 8 inches long. The sword is weighed at 4 lb. [break]

[attr="class","silasreescroll"]As the match was about to start, Taiyo took a deep breath in, inhaling the fresh air while enjoying the warm afternoon sun on his body. He slowly opened his eyes. This is going to be epic! Hope you came prepared cause I feel a good fight between us. The young boy smiled before getting his mind ready for the fight that was about to take place. I don’t know what magic Corelius Finster uses but I’ll be sure to be on my game. After all, I’m not only a Crimson Lion, I’m a vermillion. Time to bring the pain. Taiyo walked out to the arena and got in a ready position with one hand resting on his sword and the other at his side where his grimoire sat. “Well, you surely are a brave one for such a young magic knight. I guess that should be expected from the heir of the Vermillions. I hope you’re ready, boy.” Taiyo grinned. As the match began he dashed at Corelius and went in with his fist ready to punch the man. Solor Magic: Solaris Fist! As he continued moving at Corelius, his fist began to glow and glimmer while a fist of mana about three times his fist appeared over his actual fist. While he charged Corelius, Corelius raised his hand and pointed it at Taiyo. “Water Magic: Water Bullet!” He shot multiple blasts at Taiyo who avoided them and punched Corelius in the gut, sending him flying, knocking him out in one strike. Never underestimate me.

As he was pronounced the winner, the glow and glimmer on his fist and the mana dissipated. Feeling proud, he walked over to where he was waiting at first and sat down. He had to sit down and watch all the other fights take place as he prepared himself for the 2nd fight. He could imagine what Leona would say when she saw him. She’d probably congratulate him and then beat him up just to make sure he stayed humble. His older sister made sure she let him know that even though he was strong, there was always someone stronger than he was and that was her. She also wasn’t opposed to making sure he knew how much of an idiot he was most of the time. Even so, she loved him and would always try to inspire him to do his best. He also had Lucia on his side rooting for him and making sure that he was well equipped for this world he was in. He was not only being taught in the ways of politics but she would make sure she battled him when they had free time so he could keep improving his combat skills. After all, he was the heir to a strong noble family and as such he needed to stand strong. This win was for you guys. The next one will be for the Crimson Lions. After all, I was the only cub that wanted to take any part of this competition. I just don’t get it. We are a Magic Knight Squad made for combat yet they wanted to shy away from combat? What are they so afraid of? I took that guy down earlier with one single punch. Lydia would be disappointed in the squad if she ever found out that they were cowering away from such a task, especially one made to entertain the people of Clover after all the hell they experienced recently. Anyway, with Corelius down, I have one more match to go and I think if my opponent is anything like him it would be over in one move.

Taiyo found himself sitting and thinking about the magic knights. They worked hard every day they were on duty, some even losing their lives. Yes, they knew the risks involved when signing up to become a Magic Knight but at the same time some of the greatest of them were lost. Now the squads coordinate a little contest to entertain the people that we protect from all the threats, a simple job that would ensure that they weren’t in much danger yet Magic Knights cower from it. If there was a real threat, would they cower from that too? That so, he still had the remainder of the tournament to worry about before heading back to the headquarters and handing in the job as complete. He needed to keep on doing his missions if he were to earn stars for the squad and eventually be promoted. It was important that he did his best. Win or Lose, he had tons more to give and that was what was important. What he didn’t expect was the person next to him to look over and speak to him. “Having a good time? It’s a surprise that you came to represent your squad, wouldn’t you agree, Lord Vermillion?” When Taiyo looked over at the person, she had her eyes closed and she was smiling. She was the Blue Rose Knight from earlier. She had won her match against the Black Bull and in preparation for her second match, she was sitting next to Taiyo. Uh...yeah… I guess someone else could have been representing the Crimson Lions but I enjoy having the privilege to do so. It’s not everyday I get to showcase my skills in a planned tournament like this and so I was quite happy to get the opportunity. The blue rose knight smiled and nodded. “I guess that makes sense when you put it that way. Nice going out there, taking down your opponent with one strike. Very impressive.” Taiyo looked at her with a calm smile. Thank you. I will keep working hard like we should. After the next match began, both Magic Knights switched their focus to the Knights fighting. Purple Orca VS Azure Deer. The fight was something interesting. Both mages had the same element and started trading blows. Their magic clashed together creating a stalemate each time it connected. Eventually, the Azure Deer came out victorious. “Looks like my next opponent is also like myself, the victor of our first match. And look, your opponent is in the next fight. Green Praying Mantis Magic Knight Xildar Gren. I wonder if he will win his match.”

When Xildar stepped onto the battlefield, he was ready for his opponent. Here was the time that Taiyo could watch and observe his next opponent. The Green Praying Mantis with the wind element. His opponent was none other than the Black Bull that the Blue Rose Knight fought earlier. Xildar Gren, He uses wind magic but that won’t be enough for him to stop me. I have to make sure that I take him down just as easily as I took down Corelius. He may be familiar with my Solaris Fist but that doesn’t mean he’d be ready for my Solaris Illumination or my Solaris Reinforcement Spell. Even so, I still have my sword Anguirel. Not that it would matter anyway, I’d prefer to save my sword until the situation really called for it and from what I can see, it doesn’t. My impatience is kicking in again… There isn’t anything I could really do other than watch and wait on my turn again. As the match went on, Taiyo tapped his foot against the ground impatiently. “From what I can tell, you’re ready to get back out there. It’s quite interesting to see someone so eager to battle but I guess it makes sense since The Crimson Lions are a squad bred for battle. Well then, Just make sure that you don’t get too excited and eager that you end up destroying your opponent. That wouldn’t be very great for the squad. Bad Publicity is a thing.” Taiyo looked at the Blue Rose Knight and smiled. I know restraint, no need to worry. Just watch and see. She chuckled at his response. She too was bored but she was entertaining herself by saying all of the things just to see what the young Vermillion heir would respond with.

After the long wait, it was finally his go again. Xildar had won his match against the Black Bull and some of the other Magic Knights had their second match, including the Blue Rose Knight. All that was left was for Taiyo to win his fight and bring home the victory. “Taiyo Vermillion, you know how great it will feel bringing down the heir to a higher noble family? You’re just a kid and as such I’ll crush you like I did that Black Bull. After I win, I’ll be sure to get a promotion from my captain.” Taiyo composed himself. He was feeling a bit angry that some Magic Knights like this guy existed but even so, he wasn’t allowed to show certain emotions. He wasn’t allowed to cry or lose his temper. Instead of getting angry outwardly, he smiled. Very well then. I will just have to teach you to never underestimate me. The Mantis Mage readied his grimoire and great winds began building up around him. “Wind Magic: Gale Barrage!” The winds around him got stronger before he pulled them in front of him and fired them at Taiyo. The Vermillion boy’s grimoire rose to his side. I will show you true power! Solar Magic: Solaris Illumination! Taiyo’s bright magic created a glare that blinded some of the watchers temporarily until the move was placed before him. He shot his first blast through the winds sent by Xildar and in the interval of space, he shot a second blast, this one hitting Xildar and minor first degree burns. Never disrespect House Vermillion or the Magic Knights again. Turning from the downed man, Taiyo walked off and smiled. After the tournament was wrapped up, he hopped on his broom and flew back to Crimson Lions Base. It was a completed job.

User doesn't have to actually hit you, as long as the mana fist touches his opponent, it applies first degree burning and deals junior rank damage. Knock Back is calculated by 2m + 5 for every 10 power user has.

Description: Upon calling on the name of the spell, the user's is surrounded by bright solar light that dissipates as he absorbs it and sends it out as a concentrated blast (Size 30cm). As he sends it out, around him gets warmer as it draws on solar heat power. The blast also generates a level of heat as well, if too close, enemies will be burnt. Visually, the blast has a star twinkling effect. By using the ammo rules, the user can create an addition blast by every 10 control he has. The blast deals first degree burns and 2nd minor degree burns on direct contact. Upon impact, these blasts deal junior rank damage.
