[attr="class","noahtext"]Raque was one those cities, where Noah knew what would be waiting for him there once he came back. Briefly after leaving last time, the captain of the ship Verena de La Rouge has told him that he is a somewhat official member of her crew and that comes with some duties. Noah, having almost no chance in resisting just gave up and agreed, hoping that would mean he didn’t have to deal with this anymore. Life on the sea just wasn’t cut out for him, and yet he still found himself on the sea for most of his missions. This time, he has received that was sent directly to him to his new place at the Golden Dawn headquarters, in which Verena explained that it is time to fulfill his duty as a pirate and go on next adventure with the crew. Young mage would initially just ignore the call, but the fact that the letter had found him in the headquarters of his new Magic Knights was rather creepy, and last thing he needed was Verena barging in and dragging him with her in front of all the other squad members. This led Noah to just willingly arrive at Raque and figure out what the business was now, as well as see if there was a peaceful way for him to exit the crew he didn’t want to be a part of in the first place. [break] It was night already, by the time Noah arrived to Raque. He had to take care of other business first. Being Magic Knight was way more intense than he would imagine, because even though he did work and train hard before joining them, he had no idea how much of an actual work would come after joining. There was a whole ranking system, which determined how much he would get payed. He was very happy with getting some coins from just the lower ranks, however his mother recently wrote him a letter explaining that her situation wasn’t ideal and therefore asked him to support her for at least a period of time. Noah hated this for him, but found it impossible to decline his mother and therefore agreed, and now here he is, doing more jobs just to afford the necessary stuff while supporting an emotionally unstable woman. Either way, even if he wouldn’t admit it, the idea of returning to Raque where his first initial job started it all, was somehow liberating. [break] He wasn’t a scared little mage anymore, or well he was scared and still quite little but in different way now. He knew that he had acquired a lot of new skills, in combat and other areas and that helped him with his confidence and in the end his always-present anxiety. He would directly now head to Red Solaria, the ship which was owned by the infamous Verena De la Rouge, and occupied by her crew. He found out that he could at least save some money from renting a place, where there was surely a small calm room in the ship for him available. His arrival was rather insignificant, as the crew members were very drunk, sitting on the deck floor around a light lantern. When he tried to approach them and say some greetings, they would mostly just smile and continued their business, as if they didn’t care. They probably didn’t and maybe Noah misunderstood the tone the letter was written in. Maybe he just stressed for nothing, and he didn’t have to come at all. “Here you are! Uh, what is that mantle? I hoped you would choose someone better.” The familiar voice was there, the captain of the ship and Noah just got goosebumps from the first letter she spoke. He turned around just to see her, smiling as if she had a crazy plan ready. [break] “Yeah, I received the letter. What do you mean you mean? I thought you sent my mail directly to Golden Dawn.” Noah asked, very distant as he felt like this could be trouble, however Verena just laughed hysterically, putting her hand on her stomach as if she was about to suffocate. “How would I know that you little brat?! The kingdom has their own delivery system, you should learn more about your land if you wanna play smart.” She spoke, visibly amused that young mage thought that she would really bother finding out that he is a part of Golden Dawn now, only to get him to come on the ship one more time. “Sorry, I didn’t realize that, however what was the mail about? You said you had an important job that you needed me to participate in?” He asked, and that was the moment the woman got serious, finally. She would just wave her hand, gesturing the follow her into her office, also known as captain´s cabin. Noah did, and silently both of them made their way there.[break] Once they would enter, she would gesture him to close the door, as if this was some top secret mission. “So what´s going on? Do we ride another storm or what now?” Noah asked, little nervous as he didn’t like the mystery of it all. It was also a deep night by now, so everything was visible only if there was a candle nearby, which made the whole scenery look that much creepier. Verena, taking her moment for a dramatic break, would finally speak. “Okay so listen, I know that so far you think us pirates are doing no good and just drinking all day.” She wanted to continue but Noah stopped her.” I don’t think you do no good, but I believe you all have a drinking problem, really.” She would just chuckle, as if she wanted to ignore this note and continued. “Anyway, the problem now is that we have decided to help Raque to get rid of the pirates that have been disrupting the trade roads for quite some time now. You know it´s really not a good look for us, the good pirates. Anyway the issue is that my squad, as great as they are, are still really weak and from I could see so far, you are an okay mage. I need you to come with us on this mission.” She spoke, her tone finally calmed down and it led Noah to feel a sense of sympathy for her. [break] “I mean, sure this okay mage can help you. I have also trained very hard from last time we met.” Noah would say, trying to sound nice as he genuinely felt like helping her was the right thing to do. “Sure whatever. Great, so now go and get some sleep, we will set off by the dawn and I suggest you be wide awake by that point. Just sleep wherever you find a place.” She would then say, showing him to leave the captain´s cabin for now. Noah, speechless just left and decided to search for a quiet place on the deck to crush for night. Thankfully, the weather was still warm, even though the autumn was slowly arriving.

[attr="class","noahtext"]The night was very though for Noah, as he didn’t even find something remarkably close to bed, and from what he could observe the most of the crew would just fall asleep anywhere they lied down, probably from the fact that they all had a lot of alcohol inside of them. This annoyed him, but also wasn’t the biggest problem. There wasn’t any privacy, which he would expect on a ship in the sea, but the fact that everyone snored really loudly just made it impossible for him to fall asleep. Now visibly annoyed, Noah would cover himself with some sheets, lying close to the railing, using his backpack as a pillow. After all it looked like renting a place would have been the better option. Sadly, it was too late and due to the fact that they were leaving the harbor very early in the morning, he just decided to try and fall asleep, or at least lie in a stiff position with closed eyes until the sun rises. This definitely wasn’t an ideal condition for some pirate hunting, but hoping it would go quick, Noah imagined himself back in his cozy new room in the Golden Dawn. He was getting used to the luxury, and this situation was just a painful reminder that it wasn’t always like this. [break] Noah had been awake the whole night, counting sheep and other things to pass time, before he would hear the well-known voice once again. Verena was now on some sort of podium, cheering everyone. Noah took his time, tried to stretch at least as his back was basically just broken from lying on a floor the whole night. After getting to the meeting, it really seemed like the woman was in charge of this ship and its crew. People were cheering, and even though her language was very offensive, she definitely knew how to motivate a crowd. Sadly, this motivation didn’t really work on Noah himself, as his motivation was just getting back to his room with a bad now. With constant cheering and laughter, the captain headed back to cabin only to navigate the ship out of the docks onto the open sea. Noah listened to the strategy, however knew very little about what was spoken. Apparently they were following one ship that was transporting some goods from faraway lands, an ideal target for the vigilant pirates. Once the pirates would make their move, the crew of Red Solaria would intervene, beating them and capturing them, ultimately taking them to prison. [break] That part seemed really clear for Noah, and from what he understood his job was to stay still until a fight would happen. Stressful task, given the fact that everyone was running around doing their duty. There were a lot of people paddling the boat, the captain navigating the ship. He would feel inappropriate, and decided to back down from eyes of everyone, heading to the front railing and watching the open sea. Thankfully, this time it was pirates, not a freaking kraken. Noah knew that this should be rather effortless, given the fact that pirates weren’t exactly strong and their main advantage was fighting on the open sea. Little did they know, Noah fought serpents that literally lived in the water, and even though it was mostly Griswold doing the fights, he learned a lot. Passing the time, sitting with his legs over the board, Noah was just starting into the water, lingering in between the state of nausea and dizzying headache, he wasn’t the kind of person who handles little sleep well. Thankfully, there was a shout that quickly awoken him from the contemplation.[break] Verena jumped out her cabin, rather excited as she shouted. “There, there!” She pointed to point that was far away, but as the rest of the crew ran towards the railing to see what´s going on, so did Noah and it got exciting indeed. There was a huge boat covered in golden ornaments, obviously one that was holding the goods. Noah couldn’t see much, but it looked like the ship was in great condition and there were no signs of vicious pirates coming and sealing anything. So far, it just looked like the ship was heading back to Clover, and while still being rather far away, everything looked okay. That´s what Noah thought, but Verena quickly announced. “We need to get closer! They are approaching it from behind, the side we cannot see!” Everyone knew what to do, besides Noah who was just confused. However, he just rushed towards the middle of the deck, ready for whatever was to come. The Red Solaria would then quickly approach the trading ship, basically sandwiching it from one side, while the pirate´s ship was on the another. Noah completely misunderstood the situation – how were they going to fight? Where were the pirates anyway? The people on the trading ship were very close now, so Noah could see their apparent confusion, and he couldn’t blame them; he was confused too. [break] Verena exited her cabin once again, it seemed like the captain of the other ship knew what was going on, because the crew of the other ship quickly hanged down the ropes, which the crew of Red Solaria could use to get on the deck. “So are we fighting there? What´s going on?” Noah tried to get some information, because it looked like he missed some strategy meeting, but to his surprise everyone but him just followed orders so naturally. A lot of members of the crew would start climbing up the ropes, to get onto the trading ship. Verena quickly gestured Noah to follow them and do the same, while she herself stayed on Red Solaria, apparently casting some spell, because everything got suddenly covered in a mist, not super dense one, but it was definitely more complicated to navigate in. Noah recognized this, as it wasn’t the first time he saw the spell, Verena was a mist magic user, and this was apparently some strategy of hers. Due to the fact that he trained his sensory skills at least a little, Noah could feel where the rest of the people were, and therefore he decided to follow them and climb up towards the trading ship.

[attr="class","noahtext"]After getting up on the other ship´s deck, Noah finally understood what the mist meant. Verena covered the Red Solaria in it, in order to probably confuse the pirates so all of the crew could focus on the task at hand, and that was the pirates who by now had made their way up to the trading ship as well. Noah was still at first, checking out the situation before actually engaging, there were a lot of people, and most of them were allies. Therefore, he wasn’t really able to fully utilize most of his area of effect spells, because he would risk hurting everyone, not just the pirates. However, there were a lot of pirates anyway, and taking them one by one just didn’t seem practical as well. Battle has unfolded, and Noah managed to pull eight of the pirates up on the upper deck, where he would at least keep some distance between them and his crew members, who were fighting at the lower deck. Situation seemed good for now, but it quickly escalated as three of the pirates stepped forward and spoke. “This little boy is going to fight us?! Who do you think you are??” The mad was laughing as if he was offended by the fact that it was only Noah fighting. “Let´s see what you can do you piece of shit!” The man shouted, as all of their grimoires opened, in a rather synchronized manner. [break] All of them shot couple of earth projectiles towards Noah, who didn’t do much so far. He was very surprised and offended by that vulgar man calling him a piece of hit, but he would know that everything would just unfold in the battle, and therefore just clapped his hands, as an magic circle of his mana formed in front of him, quickly redirecting the earth projectiles into the water as well as attacking all of eight mages at the same time. Once they got hit by the spell they obviously couldn’t see, they would just get knocked back over the railing, thanks to the destructive force or gravity and fall down to water. Noah quickly ran to the railing to check on them, as he knew the goal wasn’t to kill them, but capture them. Besides, drowning seemed like a terrible way to die, and Noah wouldn’t wish that even on someone who called him a piece of shit. [break] To his surprise, the pirates were lying unconscious on the board of Red Celestia, with Verena behind them, covering them in her mist magic. She quickly gave a good-job look to Noah, and he would smile. It looked like she was supporting from the back, and that was probably the best strategy she could have come up with. Noah had to admit that he quite underestimated her. “Snowflake! Behind you!” She shouted and Noah could notice only by a split second, as there was an arrow of condense water rushing in his direction. Quickly jumping, Noah would soon encounter another pirate, who seemed different. Well build man had just jumped from god knows where, and stood in front of Noah. “Aye aye, getting rid of my men like this, I think it´s time I taught you some lesson young folk.” The man spoke, however Noah was still quiet. Soon, the man´s fists would be covered in water, which was a very nice sight for Noah, his spell just looked beautiful. Oh but was it dangerous, the Pirate Captain would quickly jump towards Noah, leaving a puddle of water behind him. “Aye!” He shouted, as he attempted to hit Noah from the air, but thankfully young mage could avoid him just in time. [break] Seeing the man wasn’t exactly the fastest, Noah could use this to his advance, and pointed his finger quickly onto a golden orb, that was attached to the upper part of the flag pole. The orb would then quickly break from its original place, and rush towards Noah, and swiftly changing direction before hitting the ground, ultimately turning towards the captain´s location and hitting him in the knee. The man shouted some swear words that Noah chose to ignore, before he would fire off another water orb from his fists. This time, Noah wasn’t able to avoid it in time, and therefore took the hit, being knocked back to the railings, but still standing. Thankfully, his mana skin has softened the blow. Seeing as the man took the orb that initially damaged him, he just threw it over the board so Noah couldn’t see it. Quickly reacting, Noah would put up his hands above his head, pointing towards the captain´s location and speaking. “Pressure Chamber!” Four orbs would quickly form, surrounding the captain from each side and applying a great deal of pressure from all the sides. The man broke down in knees, and Noah knew that this was it. And he was still alive, so thankfully he managed to capture him. Verena would soon appear behind him and just tap him on the shoulder. “Good job snowflake!” And with this, it looked like the pirates have been stopped, for now. [exit]

[attr="class","noahnotes"]Notes, spells and stuff[break]
Got rid of pirates and captured their captain.[break] Gravity Magic: Kinetic Link
Elemental Type: Gravity Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate | Attack Creation, Sensory (Homing) Range & Speed: 40 meters | 10 m/s Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Stats Effected: +4 Power Applicable Perks: Knock-back Description: This spell allows Noah to weaponize any object present on the battleground. Activating the spell by pointing on one concrete object in his sight, Noah is able to use his gravity to apply his magic in form of small gravity point, which is attached to said object and moves the object as Noah wishes by gestures of his right hand. The gravity point is visible if enemies sensory is over 30 and looks like a small ball 3 centimeters in diameter attached to the object, and Noah can manipulate objects this way up to 600 lbs of weight (272 kilograms) with the size up to 6 m and based on the ammo rules, for every 20 control he has he is able to manipulate one more object at the same time. The size of the object doesn’t matter in terms of damage, as it’s the force it is manipulated with, dealing intermediate rank damage upon hit in form of moderate bones cracks or minor breaks as well as knocking the enemy back 4 meters and additional 5 meters for every 10 power Noah has. Noah is unable to use this spell on objects that are already used by playable characters. Utilizing sensory specialization, Noah is also able to apply homing effect to the objects that are being manipulated by this spell.
Elemental Type: Gravity Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate | Attack Creation | Restraining Range & Speed: 40 meters | 10 m/s | AoE 20 meters Mana Cost: 24 | 12 Stats Effected: -5 m/s Speed, Control -5, Knock-back Applicable Perks: World Binding, Knock Back Description: This spell is activated by Noah putting his both hands up in the 70 degrees angle and saying “Pressure Chamber”. After that, Noah creates four small balls (large 5 centimeters in diameter) that spread out in area as large as 20 meters. Everything within this area will become locked in the spell. And the points start applying heavy force into anything that is trapped inside (each in different direction), dealing intermediate rank damage in the form of minor bones break and moderate cracks per every post the target is trapped in there, as well as reducing the movement speed and lowering their control. This spell is invisible, as long as the enemy doesn’t have 30 sensory. This spell can be broken via the according Restraining rules, and has naturally decreased durability by ten points due to it being an AoE. Upon taking a hit, the target gets also knocked back 4 meters within the spell and additional 5 meters for every 10 power Noah has.
