That blunt way of speaking…the respect still was not there, so if he wanted to be told how to take care of it, Jorah was more than happy to oblige. ”Jethro, I see you have Ravencrest wine up there…how much is left?” He asked as Jethro looked at Jorah and smirked, he knew that the rogue had a penchant for the expensive drinks that he was able to keep in stock. ”It is still full, so 3,000 Yul…not a single yul less.” He gave the obviously exuberant price and waited as Jorah looked at Echo and then pulled out the Yul and handed it over before holding out his hand. Jethro looked at Echo, then Jorah and then took the yul before handing over the bottle. ”Always a pleasure Jorah. Let me know if you need any glasses.” He said with a chuckle as Jorah finished his drink and ordered a cigar. ”Quietly, but with class. Here is your weapon.” Jorah then tossed the expensive bottle to Echo without a second thought. ”Once it is done, bring the bottle back and share a drink to conclude our business and to solidify our friendship. I dislike the taste of blood…even that of a truly sick person such as this woman who deserves it…oh and don’t crack the bottle…those Ravencrests know how to make wine, but they skimp out on the bottles…” He said as the cigar was handed over to Jorah and then as he lit it, he truly had the air of a ruler in this bar.
❝My light [break]is brighter [break]than the sun!❞
[attr="class","echotemp] Echo would listen as Jorah would say that he wanted Echo to go and kill the woman, and then suddenly purchase a very expensive bottle of wine. Echo would look at the man and laugh before saying “I guess we got a high roller here.” He meant nothing by it as nothing more than a joke but he didn’t know or care how Jorah would take it. But after that Jorah would say how he wanted Echo to use the bottle of wine in his attempt to end the woman as he should have to begin with. [break][break] Echo would look at the bottle before saying “Why the hell would I use a bottle to kill her when I could just fry her as like bacon? Or I could rip her heart out by boosting my strength… Its just so many options and you want me to use a damn bottle?” Echo would let out a heavy sigh before grabbing a hold of the overpriced bottle. He would begin to walk off a few steps but would stop and say “You know im doing this just because I don’t like the idea of rubbing people wrong or stepping on toes. I don’t know or care you were after them too but I’ll make this right, and hopefully gain your friendship and favor…” [break][break] Finishing his little exit speech Echo would begin to finish walking off towards the exit. He would return when the task was done just as he was instructed. This set of events would also set forth an internal conversation within Echo, about how he was so willing to follow orders and play the good soldier role. It was truly a flaw but this would begin to spur his desire to stop being the soldier, and start to be the commander of his own ship…

Hearing the quip about him being a high roller caused Jorah to give him a sideways glance, and then after everything was said Jorah just continued to smoke a cigar that was delivered to him. Echo picked up the bottle and began to make his way out, although a bit surprised that he was given a bottle to do the deed with he still went with it as Jorah blew the rich smelling smoke into the air. Echo stated he was doing it to make them straight and for possibly a favor. Jorah turned around as a plate of food was delivered to him and Jorah just gave a nonchalant wave before beginning to eat. He waited for the peacock rogue to return.
❝My light [break]is brighter [break]than the sun!❞
[attr="class","echotemp] Echo left the bar with the bottle in hand and he was now tasked with going to kill the witness to his earlier killing. It was most likely the best thing he could do considering all that happened, he should leave any loose ends after all. This Jorah character seemed like a wise old man who had been in this line of work for a long time, Echo thought it best to have him as a friend vs having him as a guy who didn’t like him. After Echo left out of the bar he would begin walking back towards the town, more specifically back to the scene of the crime. [break][break] It had only been about an hour, so the woman was for sure still within the city. Echo would make it to the center of town and get on top of the tallest building in that area. He did this so he could use his sensory to properly locate the woman in question. After searching for a moment he was able to locate the woman’s mana signature, and he would make his way towards it. As he made his approach the signature took him to what appeared to be the local guard station. [break][break] He could tell that the woman was inside, and this would make things less than easy. However luck would be on his side as while he was standing outside innocently smoking a cigarette, the woman would make her way outside. Echo would see this as a chance to make his move… [break][break] [Crime Thread Initiated] [break][break]

Jorah finished up his drink and told the barkeep that he would be back. He was eager to find something to pass the time and he honestly was tired of this whole charade, so he did what he did best and he disappeared…leaving behind some yul to pay for the food and drink he hummed happily as he took his leave from the bar. Jorah had no ill will towards the loud rogue, he just…did not need to bother himself any longer with this trivial matter. The deed was done and the kid that was in danger would find his way to the orphanage sooner or later. He was followed out of the bar by three individuals however, typical scum bullshit and banter back and forth. They thought the gentleman rogue to be either too drunk to defend himself or just all talk with nothing to back it up. Jorah took an abrupt left into an alleyway as he mimed doubling over to dry heave. The lure worked as all three men came into the alley, Jorah had already picked up a random bottle and pretended to trip as he looked at the three men. The bottle broke and the men laughed, but they made a mistake…they allowed Jorah to get close as they thought nothing of him.
Jorah lunged with a speed he had not displayed and sliced one of the brutes necks before then bringing the broken bottle up and shoving the broken bottle into the chest of the biggest fucker there. He showed a smile on his face reminiscent of a demon as the third guy was looking at his friend who’s throat was gushing blood. The guy who was stabbed with the bottle let out a cry of frustration, anger, and pain. ”Now, now…we don’t need the guards or knights to come and break up this little party…after all…you all tried to attack a defenseless man looking for a quick Yul. That is a shame…” He chuckled before finally twisting the bottle that he stabbed into the man, covering his mouth…the big bastard passed out from the pain, Jorah was quick to then pull the man's knife and go to the two who were cowering from the attack as he went out for the one that could still talk. ”Night night little birdie.” He said as he took the blade and slashed across his stomach once, there was little in the way of resistance before he drove the knife upwards and into his mouth and skull. He held the blade there until there was no more movement. The final guy was slipping on his own blood pooling around him looking scared. Jorah gave the man a wink before walking up to him. ”You should have honestly remained at the bar.” He would say as the street lamp illuminated his final act of indecency as he finished off the third thug. He then searched their pockets, taking what little Yul they had and with a sigh he would button his jacket and continue his walk as he whistled to himself.

❝My light [break]is brighter [break]than the sun!❞
[attr="class","echotemp] As Echo saw the woman exit the guard station, most likely reporting the terrible crime that had happened to her husband. Echo would approach her casually and he for once almost looked like an approachable guy, instead of some devilish character. As he walked up he would let off a wave and a smile saying “Hey pardon me ma’am but im kinda lost. Is it possible that you can show me where I can get something to eat? Im literally starving right now.” The woman would let off a sniffle as if she had just finished crying, but of course she was she did just lose her husband after all.
The woman would say “Im sorry sir I can’t help you.” She would continue to walk off, but only because she did not recognize Echo. This was due to the fact Echo had discarded the cloak and mask he was wearing when he did the deed. Echo’s smile would sour as she quickly walked away, presumably to a hotel seeing as where she was is now a crime scene. This would obviously prompt Echo to follow her, but of course he would keep his distance. From his last encounter and the one he just had he was able to discern this woman was most likely a commoner with next to no magical ability, so her being a sensor was next to impossible. In other words the only way he could blow this is if he gets spotted being a creeper and following her. [break][break] And so the cat and mouse game was on, the game of the hunter and the hunted. Echo would slowly stalk behind the woman making sure to keep at least 10 meters between her and himself. He would continue this method of following her for several minutes up until she turns down a street which was almost completely unlit. The street was much smaller than the others she had been traveling down, so Echo assumed she must be nearing her destination. Little did she know she would not make it there as Echo would slowly but surely close the distance between him and the woman. [break][break] Within less than a minute he would close that 10 meter distance he had kept, and now he was almost directly behind her. To which point he would say “Dont turn around and don’t you move you filth.” The red head would then draw his sword and hold it to the back of the woman’s neck before saying “You should never talk to guards or magic knights… its not good on your longevity.” Echo would then take his white wakizashi that he had drew mere moments ago and plunge the blade into the woman’s back as he covered her mouth. “Shhhhhhhh….” He would say as he would use the sword that remained in her body, and the grip he had of her face and head to drag her off. She was a very lively woman as she was fighting till the very end. [break][break] However the sad reality that all her fighting would be for nothing as she was dead regardless if the blade stayed in her or not. This was because Echo stabbed her right in her spinal cord and very deep at that. So she would not be able to walk to get help and would most likely bleed out, this was the reality. However she got to die in Echo’s arms, being able to be in the embrace of another human being should have been a gift to someone in such a situation. [break][break] He would drag her almost lifeless body to a very small alleyway, where he would then remove his sword from her back and his hand from her mouth. He would gently set her body then and he would take a knee as he would then begin to speak to her before she took her final breathes. “Im sorry your final moments had to be spent with me but, I could not allow you to live. The sun shall rise soon enough, if you don’t move or don’t speak you will live to see its beauty one last time…” He would then get up and begin to walk off into the night, he was gonna go make his way back to the bar and talk to Jorah.

Jorah hummed to himself as he took to the “seedier” parts of the village, circles he was at least well known in began to spring up and the Gentleman Rogue had set up shop at a local inn where people of ill repute often hung around. It was here he caught the eye of a particular female, one lady of the night…Irene, whom Jorah often referred to as “Ms. York. She had fine skin, and golden locks that made her desirable to just about any suitor. As he took a seat and ordered a drink, Irene soon sauntered over and took a seat at his table looking unimpressed as she wondered what the man might need. ”I see you have caused quite a ruckus this time as well haven't you Jorah? Well…what is it this time, a new target or perhaps looking to sell. I have clients to attend to after all.” She asked, a devilish smile soon took over her face as the drink that Jorah ordered finally arrived; it was a glass of cherry brandy…imported into clover from some sort of hostile land that Clover was “investigating”. He slid it over to her without much of a problem. He flashed a small smile before he took a napkin and drew out a mask, but not just any mask…it was Echo’s little mask that he paraded about in. ”Get me information on this…peacock and see to it that I am the only one getting whatever info you dig up. If you do this, I will ensure you a…relic that should adorn the neck of only a beauty such as you.” He said as he slid the folded up napkin over to Irene. The music began to crescendo as Jorah looked at her, Irene took the glass and took a small drink, a little of the brown-ish liquid escaped from the edge of her mouth and moved towards her chin, but Jorah caught it as well as he leaned in and used his thumb, which he had cleaned off from the blood earlier, and wiped the liquid up before giving her a wink. ”Always a pleasure Ms. York, please have a pleasant evening.” He said as he stood up, buttoned his suit jacket and took his leave as Irene just sat there with her cheeks flushed. She detested Jorah’s gentlemanly style…he could be much…more suitable to her specific tastes if he dressed more like a veteran adventurer…yet he clung to a virtue and code that only showed that he could do the things that Magic Knights could or would not do.
Jorah left the place before going back to the bar, he had sobered up a little after taking care of the goons and sending that troublemaker to do his bidding. He had no intention of doing business with anyone he saw no future with so he had to do some digging…for now anyway. He had arrived nearly twelve minutes later after taking a direct route before sitting back at his space at the bar, the same drink and cigar from earlier remained and he signaled Jethro for a refill and a new cigar. He waited for Echo without much worry now as he cut the new cigar and lit it up before taking a long drag from it, savoring the taste of that mild smoke before blowing it up into the rafters without saying a word.

[attr="class","echotemp] After Echo had walked off from the scene of his illicit activities he would get a short distance away before he would be seen by two patrolling guards. He knew that he had no reason to run and so he would simply continue on his course, however as he and the two guards would cross paths he noticed something. These were no normal town guards and these were instead magic knights sent here for whatever reason. *They can’t be here from when we both went after that man earlier? Shit that was fast but this will be too!* [break][break] As he walked past the guards he would look to them and stop, before speaking to say “Fucking garbage knights! Walking as if you are better than others just because you have that silly mantle.” Echo’s mana would begin to swell due to the overwhelming hatred and murderous intent coming from him. The magic knights would stop before but before they could even react properly they were almost frozen scared due to the feeling Echo’s mana gave off. After a few moments they would both try to pull out their grimoires in order to attack the red headed rogue, however Echo would make a fist before raising his thumb and extending his index and middle fingers. “Light Gun: Scatter Shot!” He would say unleashing a serious volley of light bullets across a 50 meter area. [break][break] Such an attack would without certainty kill those two without question, and a great portion of that area was left severely damaged. After unleashing such a spell Echo would think to himself *Shit what the hell was that? Why did I just bug out like that? I was mad but not mad enough to do something like that… I gotta move.* The red headed Jaegar would then take off full sprint, moving towards the bar and away from the scene before he could potentially be spotted.

Jorah sat at the bar when he heard the commotion, and of course everyone was trying to move out of their seats to try and see if they could catch a glimpse out the window. The bombardment of light streaked across the window and Jorah knew instinctively that the peacock had done something stupid again. ”Honestly…he will never learn. That is why I have to keep an eye on him. Even the brightest stars could be dimmed, and the most useless of blades can still be fatal if wielded correctly.” He said to himself as he took another drag from that cigar, blowing the smoke up and out into the rafters once again.
Less than five minutes later the doors opened again and then he could only guess that Echo had arrived once again. The gentleman rogue motioned over towards him as Jethro caught eye of this scene and brought over two glasses as he was instructed earlier. He hoped that Jorah and whatever was happening would soon be over so that business could go back to normal. Jorah would not speak to Echo yet, but would wait and then once Echo got back to his seat. That was when Jorah would take another drag from the cigar before setting it down and blowing the mouthful of smoke up into the air. ”I thought I told you to do it without raising concern for what happened?” He said as he was curious as to what the excuse would be.

[attr="class","echotemp] Echo had taken off full sprint heading back towards the bar, and upon his arrival he would burst thru the door without any regard for anybody or anything. His brand of evil was a special one for sure but what else did people expect from the self proclaimed king of rogues. After coming back into the bar Echo would immediately see Jorah and hear the words coming from his mouth as he approached him. Jorah was clearly upset as he had seen part of what had transpired a few short blocks away. [break][break] Echo would let out a sigh before taking a seat next to Jorah and saying “Relax old man… That scene wasn’t the woman, I took care of her very discreetly. I doubt anyone will even find her body until tomorrow or later today at least…” his words trailed off as he would pull out a cigarette and light it with his magic. He would take a hit of the tobacco before he would continue to speak saying “Actually that scene was me making a point, I want them to have some idea who just killed their men.” [break][break] Echo would let him and his vendetta vs the magic knights push him to do some weird things, but this one was just bonkers. The red head had just wildly and blatantly killed 2 magic knights with very little care or regard for the scene caused. He was poking at thee organization, knowing that things would soon add up for them. It was only a matter of time before they would have to come after Echo, as he knew they could not just sit and do nothing. This would also bring to mind the fact Echo was still waiting on a certain woman to make her move… [break][break] Echo would flick the ash of his cigarette on the bar floor before looking towards Jorah and saying “So old man what you been getting into since I left? Dont tell me you just sat here all that time twiddling your thumbs?”

Hearing Echo make his case, Jorah just nodded patiently, he knew that he did not need to be there, but he still came back…for his own reasons, not for anything more. He wanted to keep friends close, and those he did not trust closer. Echo explained that he was making a point, leaving a calling card essentially which Jorah could understand, so he took another drink from his glass as he waited for the inevitable question about his activity and just like clockwork he was asked what he was doing while he was gone and Jorah put his glass down as he looked at Echo. ”I killed 3 people and then went and told a friend of mine to keep an eye on you…” He said as he finished his glass and looked at Echo with a straight face for a moment, then after a few seconds of this he would bust out laughing and then looked at Jethro and he began laughing as well as some other patrons joined in. ”No, I hung around here the entire time and just drank and waited…not like you were gone long, still have the wine? I am craving some of that Ravencrest wine to cleanse my palette since the deed is done.” He said as he waited for an answer.

[attr="class","echotemp] After Echo had asked what Jorah had been up to in his absence, the older man would say to him that he killed 3 people and asked one of his friends to keep an eye on Echo. After saying this Jorah, the bartender, and several others would begin to laugh, and Echo too would awkwardly laugh joining in on whatever the joke was. Jorah would then say he was actually sitting there all along as Echo was not truly gone that long. [break][break] Echo would laugh a bit before he would think to himself *Oh this old man must think im stupid… Fine I guess I shall play the role of a young dumb fool for now.* He did not say anything about the old man’s joke but was simply say to him “Yeah I figured your old ass was just playing. To be honest old man I don’t got you killing anybody… nut I noticed something about you, or rather your mana.” [break][break] Echo would pause for a bit before he would take out a small piece of paper from his jacket pocket. This piece of paper was blank but echo would soon use his magic to reveal some writing on the paper. The writing was a name and address of a person named Nicki, a woman who was a Jaegar through marriage but did not take the name. “This woman find her if you wish to find me. I am having a meeting in a short few months. The only repayment I need for this is that you attend that meeting. And who knows if you come there may be something in it for you too.” [break][break] After saying this Echo would place the paper on the bar in front of Jorah before also pulling out the bottle of wine from the inside jacket pocket. He would place the bottle too on the bar in front of Jorah right next to the piece of paper. Echo would then stand up and place a small bit of yum on the bar before looking to Jorah and saying “This was fun old man but its almost morning and I think I should head on home…” in truth Echo didn’t know where he was going but he knew he was not going home. [break][break] Echo would then take out a cigarette and spark it as he would then begin to walk back out of the bar. Right as he got to the door Echo would stop and yell back without turning around saying “I will see you in 6 months Jorah. That should give you plenty of time to be free and pencil me into your busy schedule.” Echo would then continue to walk out of the bar heading off into what was left of the night. He was almost sure that Jorah would find his way to see the hunter in 6 months time, and he also believed that he and Jorah had a lot in common. These common traits would be the building blocks of the perfect partnership one day… [break][break] [Exit] [break][break]

He watched as the infectious laughter spread all around, with Echo joining in shortly after and Jorah soon listened to the light rogue as he quipped about Jorah’s talk of remaining at the bar and going as far as saying that he doesn't believe that Jorah kills, or at least in this instance he did not touch a soul and Jorah did not rebuke him for his words because he saw no need in doing so, because after all…Jorah was a busy rogue with things on his metaphorical plate that would make this lightbulb spark out and break if he knew.
A few moments later he pulled out a piece of paper and wrote a few things on it. It was an address in which to meet the rogue at a time of six months and Jorah accepted the paper and nodded, but as Jorah had stated earlier their debt was settled with the death of the woman with the Ravencrest wine bottle so the gentleman rogue saw no need to have to oblige this, but he still took the paper as he knew that with his earlier inquiry with the lady of the night he was looking into what this Echo character was about. ”Who knows…I may pop in for a spell or two…” Jorah said with the rather tongue in cheek remark towards his own magic of imitation.
After a minute or two later Echo stated that it was getting rather late and that he should be getting home and Jorah merely nodded as he knew that he was going to travel once the sun was up of course, but he had no reason to leave at the current time and so he was bound to stay until Jethro finally kicked him out. Echo stood up and began to make his way towards the door as he quipped one last time at the meeting once more and said that it would be enough time for the gentleman rogue to pencil him into his busy schedule. ”Don’t worry lightning bug…I will be sure to pencil you in at my convenience. Be well and don’t get caught leaving, I am sure that there are plenty of people looking to get that sweet yul reward.” Jorah said with a wave of his hand as he finished his drink and then began to pour some wine into a couple of glasses he requested from Jethro. He split the drinks up amongst the patrons and the crowd grew even more rowdy at the red, sweet smelling liquid that was passed out. ”A TOAST! To the man that can travel anywhere he wants with speeds that will leave your eyes in tears to follow, yet at the end of the day…come to the beck and call of this distinguished gentleman before you. No autographs you mongrels…now drink up before you go home to your miserable lives!” He said as he raised the glass high and drank from it as everyone else did…the night ended with the gentleman rogue in a great mood as always.
