[attr="class","temppost"] Magnus suppressed a small chuckle from Nix's comment about the food, "fear not Nix, I'm sure the meals were fantastic, however, it's understandable they'd feel such pain from a curse finally being released from their souls and mana. Not to mention the pain of their stomachs probably pleading for even more." Magnus stated, as, from the formerly cursed girls' ferocious behavior of trying to take a bite out of Griswold himself, it was clear they were not only still hungry but overtaken by their predatory instincts developed from being monsters for so long. A pang of sadness could be seen on Magnus's face, he felt for them and believed that no one should have to ever go through this kind of torture. He knew all too well what curses could do to someone and having been a survivor of one himself he could only hope that these people could find some peace, however, little it may be.
Magnus watched as Griswold picked the girl up with ease, taking her to the couch, and he had to stop himself from entering, he told himself it was to protect Nix, but truthfully he didn't want to make things harder or be responsible if things went off course. Not to mention he was fairly certain that Griswold could handle himself, and considering the man's abilities, he was also fairly certain that if he so chose to he could've killed everybody around him within a mere matter of minutes. Luckily for them all, Griswold was a man who in Magnus's eyes had a good heart and a virtuousness for doing what was right for those who have been wronged. At least those who deserved it anyway. The thought brought on a sense of reassurance for Magnus.
However, Magnus got to see a glimpse into the other side of Griswold, having moved Nix behind him for good measure, Magnus was then privy to the intimidating command released from Griswold. Magnus was sure had his posture not already been perfect, he would've stood upright and at attention with Griswold's command. Luckily it was, and though he went still for a mere moment, his breath momentarily caught in his lungs, his mental fortitude had weathered much harsher commands in the past and thankfully, Griswold's aggression wasn't geared toward them, nor did he feel as if it was. However, he could tell that it had affected Nix, with her tug of his sleeve. He wrapped his large hand around her shoulder and gave a firm but gentle grip to reassure her everything would be okay. He turned his head to her and gave a warming smile and affirming nod.
As Griswold appeared in front of them once more, quelled the former wraiths ferocious behavior, Magnus would give a nod to him and respond. The mental effects slowly subsided from his body as he spoke in response to Griswold's suggestions. "I agree, although I'm sure the local physician will be able to assess their physical conditions I'm not so sure about everything else, such as mental and mana related. However, once we arrive, I can send a message to my family, the Aurelius family has a few medical practices I think may work, not to mention a couple of well-respected therapists. I'm sure with my family's help we'll be able to rehabilitate them and reintroduce them back into society as well-mannered citizens." Magnus said as he turned to look at Nix.
Bending down on one knee just enough to be nearly eye level with her, without letting his fine tailored pants touch the ground below. "By the way, you did wonderfully, without your assistance I'm sure we would've been stuck at this for ages. Thank you for all of your help and for sacrifcing such delicious meals, Nix." Magnus said with a nod of gratitude and a gentle smile, before turning back to Griswold, now having unbent his knee and turned back to his original height.
"Once again you prove to be an invaluable asset to the issues that plague the Clover Kingdom. If you shall ever need my help or the assistance of the Aurelius family, please do not hesitate to ask for I shall do all that I can to assist you." Magnus said, bowing his head slightly to Griswold with a smile. Now the matter was just how they were supposed to transport these people into town, he supposed he could call for a carriage, but that would require getting to town, getting back to his hotel, and getting his communication device, or perhaps he could use defensive magic to lift them all and try to transport them that way. He turned an inquisitive gaze to the people as he pondered.

Nodding at Magnus in appreciation and approval, it was never a bad thing to hear words of support for now and for the future, especially among magic knights. It was not at all uncommon for him to receive words of thanks from the people he had aided, nor was it that strange to hear some words of appreciation, yet it usually stopped right there. And truth be told, that was fine, as most people did not have the means by which to provide their aid, nor did he want them to feel obliged to help him just because he had done his job to help them. While the girl seemed angry with him, it was something that could not be helped, as the power he had used was a very difficult one to control. Rounding up the family and preparing them for the short journey they would need to go through to get where they needed to be, Griswold figured having the others around for help would come in handy if one of them decided to make a run for it.
And with all of that out of the way, it was time to start getting these people out of the house and moving towards the nearest town. Due to the way in which they were dressed, he imagined it might be a somewhat chilly trip. Albeit with some level of premature regret, he used his dagger and tore his cloak in half before wrapping half of each around the children. Believing that in any capacity, this would be what parents would want, for their children to at least be warm, they at first seemed reluctant, but once they experienced the warmth it provided, they did not struggle against it anymore. And just like that, the three of them began herding these people towards the town, with them all knowing what would happen if they were to lash out. After all, if need be, Griswold could just exert his dominance again and force them to move, he just hated having to resort to such measures.
With some difficulty, the group managed to get the group of former wights to the nearest town. Calling some of the guards to keep the people away from them while they made their way over to the nearest physician, it seemed that there was a party going around here too. In a way, that much had been something he had expected, as it was the time for such things to start popping up all over the place. What with the spirit festival being but one of many celebrations that were going on, there were plenty of people who were celebrating the dead and the people they had lost, reminiscing the things they had done while they were still alive. Others just grabbed the opportunity to party and drink excessively, which was fair too. Not being much of a party animal himself, he just stuck close as they entered the physician’s clinic, where he shared some details on the people they had just delivered.
Obviously, the tale stirred up some disbelief, though the somewhat feral impulses these people had going for them were rather telling as to the trauma they had been through. After a little while, it became clear that these people required sedation as they were truly a danger to themselves and the people tasked with giving them a checkup, Griswold did not enjoy seeing them get put down and brought into individual rooms. While he understood the reasoning behind it and would for obvious reasons not be able to stay here until these people were finally ready to go back into society again after what might potentially take them years, it still pained him to see it. But since he knew full well that there was nothing he could do for these people beyond this point in time, he thanked the people in charge and the guards that had helped them throughout the town unharmed.
Turning to the two magic knights once it was all said and done, there was not really a whole lot left for him to say. Clearly he wanted to thank them for their help in all of this, though he also wanted to just leave the place as soon as possible. Around this time of year, there were plenty of people in need of help, though truth be told, he just did not like being around this place for a second longer than he had to as it just felt incredibly depressing.
“Thank you for the aid, it was much appreciated. Breaking curses is not exactly my forte, so if any one of us had been at this alone, there would have been a good chance that these people would have been put down, thus doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. It goes to show that there is at times strength in numbers, even if that strength is not physical. Now then, I wish you both all the best.”
Sealing his sentence with a nod, the mage went back out into the world, this time lacking a cloak to keep him warm, but still wearing plenty of clothing to keep him from actually feeling the cold. Imagining that he would be getting himself a new one soon enough as money was not really an issue for him on account of rarely ever using any or having to tap into his savings, it did not take a whole lot of time before the town was just a speck in the distance.
As they left the house, Nix looked back to affirm that she had indeed not been left any of her snacks. Magnus had totally reassured her, although she still made funny faces at Griswold when he wasn’t looking, she was at ease after the commanding shout. They left with about as much diligence as people usually had when they were finished with the work they had been asked to complete. Nix waved at the house knowing full well that no one would wave back at her, spooky cursed houses weren’t always a dime a dozen, she never knew when her next chance to see one would be. The trek back was long and tiresome, when they parted ways Nix was a little crestfallen but she sucked it up. Having to then write in her best handwriting a report of all that had happened would be an arduous task. Luckily Nix had crayons that were sharp from drawing. She hoped the archivist would like her drawing of an angry Griswold, and penalise the Black Bulls with a black star for him shouting so loudly. But sincerely she had no Ill will towards the man, and was just thinking about the Silver Eagles winning the star contest this year. Griswold gave his good byes and thanks politely, Nix appreciated this and was less concerned with recouping her fortune of snack foods. She curtsied and gave a small spin, before leaving herself she waved to both of them. Her time spent thinking about what to put into her report, and what colours to write it in. The archivist liked her reports; he had said so himself, how ever Nix, being the snazzy individual she was, wanted to make this report extra snazzy. She purchased glitter and tiny stars to glue on the paper, which she adored as she had made it herself. Good paper was hard to come by; or was very expensive, so she opted to make her own by recycling old newspapers. The only things left in her satchel was an unpalatable lump of wax, a few crayons which didn’t taste very nice either, and a roll of paper which she had scribbled on. The two men she had met were pretty alright guys, a bit rough around the edges, but they were nice. So Nix looked upon them favourable as she wrote and scribbled her report. When it was sufficiently snazzy, Nix rolled it up and started towards the capital to deliver it herself personally. Things were pretty alright in the Kingdom Of Clover, at least for her they were.

[attr="class","temppost"] Magnus watched as Nix made funny faces behind Griswold's back, making sure to stifle the amusing laughter that roared up inside him from the sight of such. He found it nice to have a bit of humor after witnessing what they had. In his mind, things had gone well, but he felt it could've been better. There was no telling who placed the curse or how old it was, and it seemed as if the culprit would be lost to time. This in turn caused Magnus to be rather irritated with such fact. He wanted to make whoever had done something so cruel pay a just punishment for their crime but there was nothing he could do now but help those who were impacted by the criminal. He was sure his opinion was biased about the matter, after all, he had only seen the aftermath, but a punishment such as this, for people of which he knew not what crimes they mad have committed didn't sit right with him.
His gut slightly tingled, he figured he was hungry, after all the food and insatiable appetites that he was privy to most likely wore off on him. The placebo effect took hold, within his own gut telling him it was time for him to eat. He made a mental note to stop by the local food market as well as to send some of the food to the Black Bulls and to the Silver Eagle with a thank you card to Griswold and Nix. Considering all they had done and the food that Nix had sacrificed. He was sure in due time she'd want that replaced judging from his personality.
The thought of the victims ruminated in his mind, he couldn't tell what to do for the people in order to make them whole again, but he did have hopes that he could help them integrate back into society, or at least his family could possibly do so. As much as he'd like to, he knew he simply wouldn't have time to take care of the people himself so putting them in the trusted hands of those who could be all the better option. As they got them to the local physician, Magnus took the time to write a letter as Griswold checked the people in and gave them the jest of what happened and of their issues.
"You're welcome, however, the appreciation is more than mutual. Truly thank you for all of your assistance and fine work. As a citizen of the Clover Kingdom, I am honored to have assisted you. May the great spirits look upon you all with favor." Magnus said with a soft smile and a quick bow of his head, and hand draped across his large imposing chest.
Magnus gave the letter to the town's broom delivery person and addressed it to his family. Detailing within a letter that simply told of his adventures in this town, while also throwing in a request for aid. Within a few days his family would arrive to help the poor unfortunate souls, giving them housing, training, and making sure to have guards on standby in case any of their animalistic hunger roared back into the forefront of their psyches. His family wasn't known to be the strongest powerhouses, in fact, they were known for the fragility and delicate handling in their work as opposed to brute strength. It was because of this that he was sure that his family would be the best place for these victims' recoupment and reintegration back into society. With the help of their household management skills, he was sure they could help them find jobs again, or the riches they had lost, even refurbish that old house and sell it for the family unless they decided they wanted to keep it. Though with what they had been through and how long they had been in it he doubted that would be the case.
With a smile on his face and a general report given to the local authorities, Magnus decided to make his way back home. He was tired and sure that a nice long bath would do him well. Not to mention a good home-cooked meal.
