White hair draped down past the man's shoulder as the wind brushed and whipped against it, it fluttered across his indigo eyes. The Delothosin man had always enjoyed flying, in fact, his namesake was something that even meant sky in the language that the Hino Country used. Sora had a large grin on his face as he flew above the Clover Kingdom. Nothing but a single arm and his rear, rested on the broom, almost as if he was sitting on a ledge, ready to fall at any moment. Though some considered this a more risky way to fly it was for that thrill of falling, of the freedom to just plummet down that Sora enjoyed. Often times he had dreamed about his magic allowing him to fly, alas, it didn't seem that was in the wheelhouse of his macabre abilities, at least not for what had been revealed for him yet through the use of his grimoire, of which hung from the left side of his waist, wrapped in clothes and hidden from the prying eyes of others.
He didn't mind people seeing his grimoire, but the flour leaf clover on it, often made him a target for those who would do him harm due to jealousy, and some for even wanting to hold him for ransom, and as he trained at the Border of the Spade Kingdom, he grew accustomed to hiding it in case someone would discover them, though his servants, or as he considered them, his family were well versed in keeping them hidden so that was never a factor. Still, safety came first, excitement and adventure came second. Though he was a thrill-seeker, he always made sure that he was, in fact, properly secured in all things, getting injured or killed really put a damper on any future adventures after all. It was for this reason that even though he was flying his broom in a risky way he kept a secured grip on the broom, so much so that if he was to fall off he could at least hang on until he could right himself again.
Across his back there was a cloth-covered weapon, a shakujō to be more precise. The weapon thus far had only been seen by his eyes, and it seemed the shy thing liked it that way, or at least he assumed it was shy. Sora found he had a stronger bond than he initially intended with the thing, but it was better than it just being an ordinary object. His weapon felt like an extension of himself, albeit the shy aspect of it, but he had a feeling that after he trained with it a bit more that things would change. Sora glanced down seeing that he had almost made it to his destination, Haphass in the common region. He had never been there before but heard that it had a wonderful forest and some of the best apothecaries. As such it suited his fancy for a little exploring. After all, he was to live in this kingdom that his family and he by proxy were so loyal to. It was best to actually explore and get to know the area. As he came to land in the port town, his broom coming to a skidding halt, as for a minute most thought he was going so fast he'd possibly crash. With more skill than luck, Sora angled his broom to the side as he came down to just a foot above the ground, whipping then broom in a quick circular motion with his iron grip. His white hair whipped around in an elegant display as the room from his broom whipped up air and dust that eventually settled. Lowering himself slowly until his feet touched the ground he placed the broom on a holster attached to his back, it stood side by side with his cloth-wrapped shakujō.
With his unusual and feminine appearance and clothing being in a sleeveless gi, that is black, white, gold, and gray. Underneath that he had on a gray shirt. On his arms were sleeves that were fitted but round out the give the appearance of being larger and seemingly hanging onto nothing. For most in the Clover Kingdom that hadn't seen such a style of fashion. Sora walked with a smile on his face the entire time despite all the odd stares and murmuring from those around him. He simply waved as he did, feeling as if he was almost some sort of celebrity, the odd stares and comments didn't bother him one bit, he simply paid them no mind after all, and walked toward the park near the forest littered with large trees. After all, he had come to enjoy the sights, what better way to start than the greenery? The only question on his mind now was... How was he to find his long-lost brother?
[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] The day had been rough so far for the Green Mantis as Sol had been mulling over what he had been told during group training out in the fringe with his fellow royal knights, it had been suggested that he might have been from the delothosin family as his weapon was made by them and while they had scoffed mentioning that his features didnt match it seemed as if now they had if what they said was to go by. It had beat in Sols head for days aftewards often keeping him up at night wondering if by chance he might not be a shinryu but instead was adopted for some odd reason and the more he thought about it the more it made sense to him, he had a magic that was not in his family at all and it had shifted even darker as of late and his features didnt match many of his family as well and it drove the man further into his ponderings. It had come to a head when he had approached his family who were stunned as his new appearance of snow white skin and long white hair as he had respectfully asked the question of if he was not truly of their blood. It had gone very oddly as they were rather confused before asking what had sparked this nonsense which made the red eyed male narrow his eyes in suspicion. [break][break] No matter what he asked they seemed to dodge the question until he brought up the fact of his magic element his eyes and now his pale demeanor which had caused them to go silent. It had been to much for Sol and he had stormed out of his familys home before using a golem to put some distance between him and the noble region and before long he had landed in Hapshass and he had made his way into the town square before he sat on a bench his katana off his hip and held close to him as he pondered his own life and who he even was outside of the shinryu name. The mage was garbed in his usual attire now as he had on his black pants and a pair of black geta on his feet and a chinese style black shirt with long bellowing sleeves with green markings around the edge to give him some cover. His mantle was around his shoulders as usual and he had a hood on keeping his face obscured. While he pondered things a few bandits were wandering thru the square and approached him thinking he was some nobody from a squad. [break][break] “hey theres a toll for being in this town buddy you need to pay up of get out” one of them said being confident that three on one would be an easy task. Sol didnt even look up at them.”Rack off I dont feel like dealing with thugs” he said bluntly his tone showing he wasnt in the mood for games and he didnt feel like being respectful to the idiots.”you dont get to say that to me you..”the bandit didnt get another word in as Sol reacted as soon as he started reaching for the man the Mantis struck suddenly drawing his blade and connecting the butt of it straight to the mans midsection busting a rib and sending him to the ground with the wind knocked out of him as he just as quickly sheathed as he slammed the blade backwards and struck the other bandit in the gut sending hims sprawling as well. To finish it all off the mage spun before cracking the remaining thug in the head with his sheath doing no damage to the weapon but knocking the one idiot out cold, [break][break] As Sol pull down his hood the three suddenly gained a very fearful look as the blood mages slitted red eyes bore into them with a fearsome glare “its the Ill-fated Omen!” one managed to weeze before Sol narrowed his eyes.”Get out of my sight and dont let me catch sight of you again” he threatned as the men quickly scrambed up and grabbed their fellow bandit before dashing off. Sol sighed before sitting back down as he smirked a bit at the name they had used, while most nobles held him as a bad luck charm it didnt bother him anymore and the title he had gained of Ill-fated Omen meant he would be a symbol of fear on the battlefield and he was perfectly fine with that. It seemed however that he had also gained a bit of a crowd as he had dealt with the three idiots as well. [break][break]

Sora let loose a chuckle as he glanced around at all the lively civilians, some were giggling and dancing around others, simply walking around and going about their day, mainly those in the park were simply there to relax. Others, it didn't seem like so, but as Sora glanced around to all the fauna in the area, and let the occasional gust of wind dance through his long white hair, his indigo eyes scanned the crowds and wandering civilians for anything interesting. He had always been one who enjoyed to people watch, and in the Clover Kingdom that was an ample abundance of those of whom he could see, and thus his lively imagination ran rampant. Often in his mind to entertain himself and make his people watching more enjoyable Sora would come up with short stories that he'd place on them as if they were nothing but mere actors in a play of his own imagination, often opting to disregard their lip movements and actual words in favor for his own. One such couple seemed like they were enjoying themselves and clearly had a longing affection for one another, not to mention their wedding bands, Talking of nothing more than their favorite places to eat, and though he took note of it for later, his mind turned them into a simple drama; one of which where the man had been meeting her for the first time, however, in his imaginary play they were both married to someone else, and star crossed lovers who had been pressured into their marriage via arrangement and not by the wills of their own hearts. Truly in his mind, it made him a bit sad, and he'd hoped that they would end up together. Then his mind concocted a story of how their lovers unknowing of the star-crossed lover's affair eventually found one another as well, in this very same park someday and by a lucky turn of fate ended up falling in love themselves. A fitting ending if he had to say so himself, and he did, as no one else around him was capable of reading his thoughts... To his knowledge anyway.
It was then that Sora noticed a couple of not-so-nice-looking people, they all seemed a bit disgruntled and cocky, and Sora instantly had an aversion to them. Alas, they did nothing to strike his ire, only mentioning that there was a toll to pay in the city, or something or other. Sora, not one to be sparse on coin, or give attention long to those that didn't truly interest him quickly reached inside his sleeve, deposited a few yul into their palms, and then skipped away with a smile and wave. Not uttering even a simple word, the bandits of whom, who either didn't want to make too big of a scene, or we're happy with their coin moved on to others in the crowd, but Sora paid it no mind as it was no business of his what others did to make their coin. Besides like fate, currency was in constant circulation or rather should be, and as such, he figured fate would eventually have such coin turn into the hand of others so he was found with keeping the fate of something he touched in constant motion. Although he was no pushover, at least not when he wanted to be, so he figured if they were to once again pester him a quick hit to their nogging with his shakujō and rotting skin patches would possibly change their mind. As it did for most people when they realized the element of his macabre magic that most dubbed as "evil" and viewed with disdain.
Then his fast-moving imagination and flighty attention span were once again ensnared by the performances on the street, one had a lute, the other sang, and once juggled while doing a simple two-stepped dance, they all were dressed in minorly puffy clothing and a variety of colors as to draw more attention to themselves, they were gathering a small crowd, and occasionally when they were done singing money was thrown into the hat that had been placed on the ground by the singer. Sora found himself eventually clapping at the performance, trying to imitate the two-step dance himself, which clearly was to the dancer's dislike via the frown on his face, that some indigo-eyed beauty was showing him up and stealing attention from him. However, within time and the song they played seemingly being their only one or the only one they liked to play repetitively, Sora found himself becoming a bit dreary. His emotions for the performance began to dull, as did his attention and as such, he dug in his sleeve, took out a few yul, and placed it within the hat before waving and skipping away with a smile, only to come across a man who had caught his attention. Simply because on this man's person rested a weapon that Sora couldn't help but notice was from Hino Country.
His indigo eyes glared at the weapon with a fevered glee, and his ever-present smile grew even wider, especially as the rough-looking people from earlier once again made an appearance, first they made a small stop at the performers taking a few of their yul much to the performers minute protest, that came to an end with a simple threat, which Sora didn't like, he was beginning to think these people were up to nothing more than no good, as he finally actually began to put things into perspective, and as such he was willing to give them peace of his mind, but as he began to mull over the best ways to do such, of course with the most minimal risk to himself, he found the bandits had met their match as what unfolded next not only amused Sora but piqued his interest and excitement to new heights. The man's style of dressing resembled those from Hino Country and his quick skilled movements with his katana, which instead of being used to cut the man down was only used to issue a fervent warning that the bandits quickly took heed off, especially as the man's hood came down and his red eyes glared at them. The Ill-Fated Omen, wasn't too in the know when it came to some of the titles of those held in the Clover Kingdom it was something he was still catching up on after all but he was sure he had heard the titled name somewhere in whispers of his family. Though as he took notice of the titled man, he couldn't help but think the man not only looked a little similar to him but also held many of the characteristics of his family.
As such, with the encounter of the bandits having to come to a quick conclusion after the man issued a warning and them running away in freight, Sora moved through the crowd of whispering civilians that had gathered in mass to discuss what had happened before slowly dispersing in their respective directions. Sora made his way over to the man, not one to be discouraged by appearances or titles, Sora moved with practiced grace and elegance as taught to him by his elders, his hands both draped over by his long sleeves. However, as he grew closer to the Hino country-dressed man, Sora came to a stop just as he would be blocking the sun from the man's view. He seemed to smile with not just his eyes but also his mouth, and his cheer was visibly and unmistakably evident, and as he found himself starring down at the sitting man, Sora would utter a simple greeting to the man "My names, Sora Delothosin." He stated with more practiced grace, before ultimately abandoning it for his own wonton wants with a simple phrase that most would deem to be rather classless; "What's up‽"
[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol had barely managed to sit down before the whispers had started and he dusted off his katana at the ends in case the bandit had left some dirt on it before he went back to his thoughts. It seemed that someone else was approaching him, his grip on his katana tightened as he was ready to deal with another idiot if it came down to It but as he glanced up at the person they seemed to be dressed far better then most which lead Sol to believe he was a noble of some sort, however what caught his gaze was the white hair and pale skin much like his own the only difference was his eyes were a shade of indigo while Sols were still a ruby red color and his eyes were slitted as this mans were normal shaped as well.what surprised the blood mage was that the moment he laid eyes on the man somehow he knew what type of magic he used even though he had no prior knowledge of ever meeting this person.'he has decay magic but how on earth do I know that this makes no sense the more I hunt for answers the more questions seem to pop up its maddening' he thought to himself as he hid his surprise well. [break][break] It was then that the noble introduced himself and as soon as the word Delothosin left his mouth Sols blinked for a moment at the sheer luck he had someone managed to, he was looking to question this noble family and sure enough one popped up right before him. He had to admit though the one before him was a bit more energetic then he expected but he could deal with it.”A Delothosin hmm perfect I was actually looking for a member of your family so I could ask some questions though before that i should introduce myself I am Sol Shinryu of Green Mantis” he said as he stood up his height becoming apparent as he had nearly a foot of height on Sora as he glanced down at him.”this weapon I have is apperently made by your family yet somehow its connected with me and an enemy questioned if I was of your blood before dismissing it due to me having pigment at the time of the encounter” he explined before he held up the katana letting him have a good look but he was wary incase he tried to touch it.”now my magics changed my appearance is like this and im starting to think your family might know the answers I seek if possible I would like to talk to them if I could” he finished as he slid his katana back into its spot on his side. [break][break] Sol knew he might be asking a lot of the man since it seemed so far that this family didnt like to be in the spotlight since he had never really heard of them until recently but the connection to him was to hard to ignore since his magic and appearance had changed so suddenly he knew he needed answers and the shinryu family hadnt given him anything and just avoided the question, it left the mage wondering just who he was a shinryu or perhaps a member of this family and until he knew it was going to bother and drive him up the walls. As Sora walked toward the ruby eyed man he felt a sort of familiarity to him, before he knew it his weapon that lay within on his back begin to stir, almost as if it also sensed that same feeling of familiarity, Sora couldn't help but think that perhaps this man was some kind of distant family member, after all from the man's appearance and his usage of a weapon of which he held with an iron grip seemed to fit the motive, but it was something else that tugged at Sora, from his mana, it seemed to feel almost one and the same, with slight subtle differences in its ebb and flow. Although Sora's sensory prowess wasn't the best he still held a small bit of fever within the aspect of magic, as such he could naturally sense around 4 meters of his vicinity, so although it wasn't strong it was still enough for him to feel the push and pull of the mana signatures around him, and this men, this ruby eyed fellow was certainly someone he knew he had felt before, he couldn't place the how, where or when, all the big proponents of information seemed to have escaped his mind. It was quite curious and as such Sora instantly took a liking to the man finding the situation of both curiosity and oddity.
"Oh‽" Sora exclaimed in excitement, as the man had mentioned that he was looking for a member of his family so that he could ask him some questions, however, in that sentence alone, Sora had realized that such things meant that the man was not a member of his family, or rather that he had only had a few bits of knowledge about them. Context clues were something to keep track of in conversation, and often Sora found himself formulating the possibilities of what one might have said from just those things alone as he often got sidetracked in conversation, especially for people that didn't interest him, however, this man was no such person and found himself intently listening and gazing upon him as he spoke. Especially as he introduced himself. "Oh, ho~" Sora mused, with a mischievous grin, a magic knight and Green Mantis no less, although with his rather abrasive attitude earlier and how he spoke to and threatened the bandits, not to mention his famed titled name, Sora wasn't surprised the man was in that squad of all, he would've even guessed such if he knew that he was only a magic knight either that or Black Bulls due to the number of oddities they had in their squad. Sora had never given much thought to being a magic knight, but considering the authority and freedom it gave him, he figured the thought was worth ruminating on at some point.
"Great to meet you, Sol Shinryu," Sora stated in a playful tone, but speaking the man's last name, and not adding the word Delothosin at the end for some reason just sat oddly with him, it didn't feel right, and from all appearances purposes, Sora was sure that this man was a member of his family, but the information given said otherwise. He couldn't help but think this was a prank or perhaps his family had sent someone to spy on him and had just done a horrible job with their choice of picking, but Sora also hadn't seen this man before and thought his characteristics for his family were unique the world was vast so designate everyone who looked like they could be in their family to an actual member of his family would be statistically improbable.
Sora glanced up at the man as he stood, taking note of his height, the man had at least a good 9 inches on him, which Sora outwardly projected in his action of raising his hand up to rest atop his own head, and then raising it up from his own mop of white hair to the height of Sol's own before bringing it back down. "Wow, and I thought I was tall," Sora said with a light chuckle. Then as Sol continued on about his weapon and how it was made by his family Sora was taken back. To his knowledge, most of the family's weapons were kept in the family especially as they held significant meaning to the individuals and holders of the weapons in question.
Sora's smile began to lessen although it still rested on his face, his indigo eyes scanned the man before speaking. "Talk to my family, huh? Well, they're quite secretive so I'm not sure if that would be fully possible, but I must ask Is this a prank?" Sora stated as his tone took an heir of seriousness. "I'm supposed to believe my family gave you a weapon, as attached to our weapons as we are? That your magic caused such drastic changes in your appearance?"
Sora questioned as he began to circle around Sol, his hand on his chin, leaning to his left and right to take stock of the tall Green Mantis Knight. "All these things indicate that you are a Delotoshin yourself, and yet you say you aren't but a man from the Shinryu family. Odd, how very odd, indeed. I think there's some explaining your family needs to do. Are you sure that you aren't distantly related to us by chance? Tell me what's your magic, it wouldn't happen to be Decay, would it?" Sora had said a mouthful, thrown out doubts, suspicions, and questions of his own devising from nothing more than his feeling toward the mana and the feeling he got from his mana, but now this man was as big a mystery to him as he was to himself, and Sora desired answers. He barely gave Sol the chance to speak that is until he was done saying what he needed to say, but in this situation, this man couldn't be who he was looking for, fate was wild, sometimes crazy, and unpredictable, but this would just be too convenient. Although he wasn't sure, Sora had a good feeling that this man could either possibly be related to him distantly, or could possibly be the long-lost brother he was searching for, but this man held a name and lived a life outside of the family, he couldn't imagine why they would let him do such a thing, and why they'd give him to another family of nobility.
[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol watched in amusement as when he stood the man named Sora proceeded to watch and tilt his head up to stare at his full height before making a comment about how tall he was before he used his hands to get an idea of just how much taller the blood mage was. As he had explained the erquest he had to speak with the young delothosin's family the mans smile faded a bit as seriousness set in and he mentioned that they were rather secretive which came to no surprise to Sol, if he hadnt heard from the daemons about them during training then he would have never known such a family existed much less that he might have been from them. It was then that he questioned if Sol was pranking him as he asked if it was to be believed that his family gave the blood mage a weapon noting how possessive they are of such things and that his magic changing caused such a drastic change. Sol sighed knowing a deeper explanation was needed before things went sideways. [break][break] “this is not a prank of any sort I am extreamly serious about this, also I was not given this blade I found it when exploring a dungeon with some other magic knights, while the rest of the treasure at the top of the tower we were exploring was rather old and showed its age this was in pristine condition and I felt a tug towards it something I couldnt ignore even if I want to. Even after I obtained this to say im protective of it is an understatement it is almost always on my person and rarely leaves my side” he explained hoping it gave some clarity to the situation as he went on.”as I siad before I didnt always look like this my eyes have always been red and slitted but a few nights ago when I rested for the night I had pale skin and black shaggy hair and I woke the next morning to find my skin snow white and my hair much long and looking the same shade of white along with my grimoire gaining a change in magic something sparked it and its why I want to talk to your family” he explained. [break][break] As he told him that Sora had started to circle him a bit and while most would be slightly confused or even intimidated by it Sol mearly tilted his head slightly as his ruby eyes followed the man using the least amount of movement possible to keep track of his conversation partner. He went on with his questioning as Sol mearly shrugged.”I did question my family on this matter but they either stayed silent or dodged my questions making me think that something is up but as to the matter of being related to your family that is something that I wish to speak to your family about and hopefully get some answers these questions have been plaguing me ever since the encounter with the enemy while training with the other royal knights in my squad” he said before he blinked at the man accuratly guessing one of his magics right off the bat.”Actually it is one of two actually my other element is Blood and I believe your element is Decay as well... but how on earth do I know this its the first time I have ever met you” he said his face contorting into confusion as he asked the Delothosin before him the question. Sora replied in kind to Sol, as he glanced up at the tall snow-white man, the more and more he liked the more Sora felt that this guy was just a member of his family praying some type of trick on him, or perhaps it was a test? Even so, Sora didn't take his eyes off him, and he made sure that he wouldn't reveal any information about the family in spades, but he would be willing to hear the man out at the very least, because for all the things this was, confusing, aggravating, jarring, the most forefront of it all was that for Sora it was utterly intriguing. "Hm, okay, okay." Sora mused. "Are you sure the blade isn't what did this to you?" Sora said with his hands to his chin as he encircled the mage. After all, Sora's running theory was that perhaps the man had some of his families blood in his veins somewhere, and from all accounts of what the man explained about the weapon perhaps for whatever reason it was lost to the family from another member, and in time failed attempts to get it back from the dungeon simply left it there. When he grabbed it, Sora figured that the man's latent genes were slowly but surely being awakened. In his mind it explained his hair and skin changing, as for the hair growth, perhaps it was due to an expansive growth of mana in recent times. He had heard that sometimes mana and one's magic could have adverse effects on them and at times created all sorts of wild phenomena.
"Hm," Sora mused once more as Sol continued to talk, not only had his appearance changed but also his magic, it was a rare but not a strange occurrence, oftentimes a person's latent potential could appear at any point in their life, though for most Sora knew that often it was brought on by extreme changes in one's environment or life.
After Sol finished taking, Sora came to a halt in front of the man, he titled his head much like had Sol did, almost mocking him, after doing so he let his hands fall to his side and took a deep breath. Sora had a gut feeling that perhaps Sol was who he was looking for, that this man perhaps was his brother, but he couldn't think of why his genes were so suppressed if that was the case, or it was the complete opposite and this man was either a spy from the family sent to test him, or perhaps a spy from the kingdom itself for whatever unknown reasons they'd do such, after all, it wouldn't be the first time someone tried to get the drop on his family to learn more information about them. Or his most prominent theory which posed little risk to mention was that this man simply had a bit of his family's blood in him. Sora opened his mouth to speak, "So what it sounds like to make is that you've had some form of awakening, considering that weapon is from my family, there's a strong chance you could have the genes of someone in my family from somewhere within your lineage. My guess is that the sword slowly brought out these genes until they bubbled to the surface, bringing out some of your latent abilities and potential, and thus the change to your appearance as well." Sora said matter-of-factly.
He then pulled out a piece of paper and ink well from his satchel, scribbling some notes down on it about the situation, he flapped the paper 3 times, folded it into a paper swan, and then tossed it into the air, before returning the materials to his pocket. The origami swan flew into the sky and within seconds seemed to have disappeared by some spatial means. In truth, this was a simple method of communication he utilized for his family at times, and what he had written down was non-other than his discovery, the note in question was sent to his family leader, in the hopes that perhaps he had either found a long lost member of the family, or perhaps his brother.
"First I can see why this dilemma is so troubling for you but fear not if I sent a request for aid, so perhaps that will be of help to you. As for me knowing your magic, to be honest, I just had a feeling." Sora said with his smile growing larger, and once back at the luster it had been before he thought Sol was potentially playing a prank on him.
