With the coming of Spring, many hidden gateways open up, connecting the worlds of the fae with out own. As many tricksters would seek to cross over to cause all sorts of trouble and mayhem, there are also those who wish to see this world with their own eyes. As these fae often take on the appearance of human children with animalistic traits such as antlers, a bird-beak, a canine nose or other such things, they are often easily picked out of a crowd. With most not knowing our human customs, it is up to you to meet up with these troublemakers and teach them how things are done in the land of Clover.

The girl was doing some special training in the forest near Nairn and was walking to the town so she could get on a carriage to take her to Raque. Due to an abnormal "accident" with the carriage that normally traveled on this route, she had to walk back to the city else risk waiting hours waiting someone come and fix it and the accident not to happen again. It was not that bad though. It was nice to stretch ones legs and well on a beautiful day such as today. Plus it would make the beach time so much more enjoyable. The girl wore a white cloak with her head covered, a bluish white dress with the skirt coming just above her knees and black spats underneath. She had blue sandals attached to her white bag which held an emerald two piece bathing suit, a towel, and the clothes she was training in. For the walk she did not wear her sandals as she always felt more comfortable not wearing shoes. For an long walk along the forest like this, she wanted to be as comfortable as possible.
Another thing that made this walk not so bad of a thing was that she was not alone on this journey. There was another traveler on the road. At first, the girl was a little annoyed but now she was enjoying the company. Her awkward smiled turned to something genuine. "I suppose this walk would be better if I knew your name. I go by Klara... what about you Miss?"

Having found herself still working towards helping others, in preparation for the Magic Knight Exams, Althaea would eventually find herself within the forested region surrounding a nice little town known as Nairn. From what she had come to understand about this place, the Church of Clover had a relatively large influence here! If the massive church that had been located within town hadn't been an indicator of this, all of the talk of a relatively handsome Deacon would have to suffice. Either way, Althaea was having a rather enjoyable time traversing the road with a dwarven girl that had been about her age. A cute, dark-skinned girl that had gone by the name of Klara.
When the two had initially ran into one another, it had been just after Klara had managed to get caught up in some abnormal accident that would lead to her carriage ending up relatively useless. Althaea had been passing by, on her way to Nairn, as she had come upon the carriage driver and this dwarven lass and had simply opted to help out where she could. All in all, the carriage driver had decided to stay behind on his own whilst doing his best to repair the damages to his vehicle. The two girls on the other hand had decided to try and return to town and as such, they would end up walking together. Althaea had refused to allow the girl to traverse the woods on her own, not knowing what kind of bandits or beasts could be lurking about in the woods. That being said, the two would eventually end up where they were now.
"Klara, huh? Well that's a real pretty name, Miss Klara. My name is Althaea; Althaea Aurelius." As she spoke to the young dwarf, Althaea would begin to play with the collar that had been around her neck. Her fingers would twiddle around with the cross that had hung gently from the collar and a soft smile would be flashed in Klara's direction. "If you don't mind my asking, where was it exactly that you were heading? Perhaps I could assist you in getting there safely? I do come from a line of servants and protectors after all."
Unbeknownst to Althaea, as she had been introducing herself to Klara and the likes, a miniscule individual had begun to peer at the duo from atop a branch, hidden within one of the many trees. Although she hadn't noticed this particular individual, the child-like fae that had been keeping watch from atop a branch had been rather interested in the pair. Until spotted, it would likely continue to follow after them to see what kinds of things they had been up to. After all, it was due to this child that the carriage had fallen apart a few miles back.

"Thank you, but your name is truly the pretty name. It sounds like it could be a gem stone or a crystal. As for where I was going. I was planning to take another carriage in Nairn to Raque to relax and do some light exercise at the beach. But I have you know. I don't need protection or help getting to the beach. Its just a carriage ride after all. It's not like I will be assaulted by rouge brain eating fae."
Suddenly the trees started to rustle and leaves started dancing to the ground. It was a bit abnormal since it was spring time and well, Klara did not know any creatures that would make such a large noise from so high up. The girl stopped looking up and following the trail of falling leaves. The rustling moved away right as her eyes grew closer to the source just evading eyes. The girl turned to try and catch a glimpse of what was around them only to end up spinning about 3 times. Then jumping back when a young looking dark skin girl with crème blond rabbit ears and matching short hair with a small pony tail in the back suddenly appeared below her. "Hey, we do not eat brains. They are all slimy and filled with fat don't you know. That is very mean. I demand you take back your comment. In the spirit of fun and education, I cannot have you spreading miss information little human."
The girl scanned the small tot again. The tot was like so much smaller than the girl. Like if she had to guess, the tiny person was probably like a little over a foot shorter her. She was unaware there were others who suffered worst from the genetic lottery than her. She wore a necklace with a green strap and a acorn as the charm. Her dressed resembled an array of white and yellow flowers sewn together with an various leaves which were way too big to come from any plant in this forest. She did not wear shoes but she did have what looked to be small vines which ran down her left leg and circled around her ankle blooming in a pink flower. The there was also a vine that ran down her right arm blooming into the same flower. Both vines, if they even were separate came from under her dress which extended down to her knees and did not seem to have sleeves. She looked really young too, like she was 5 years old. Looking back up to her reddish pink eyes which looked which lacked pupils and instead had sparkles dancing around her iris, something was completely off about this child. Thinking back to her comment, it finally hit the girl. Her eyes widen. Her smile broke to gasp, signaling her to cover her mouth. Finally she took a step back. This person was not a human.
"Yes yes, I am beautiful. More pretty than anything your kind can become without the aid of spells. Fuahahaha. But you still should apologize and also you must now do me a favor as reparation. That is how the rules work. That is the sacred pack between my kind and yours. Don't you know? Don't you agree? It would be wrong to break the promise of our great, great ancestors." The Fae planted her hands on her hips laughed, radiating her own masterful control of the situation with a mischievous grin.
The girl scuttled toward Althaea not afraid but unwilling to be the face while she was unable to keep smiling and stood on her toes to get closer to her companion's ear. "Ms. Althaea, I really don't think she is bluffing about not being human. Do you think she is a monster? We might be walking into a trap. I think Imma punt it away. We could be heroes!" She whispered while keeping her hands over her mouth.

Althaea had wanted to laugh at the thought of a rogue brain eating fae, like such a thing would ever exist, but the sound of rustling leaves would immediately draw her attention. She hadn't been quite sure what the source of the rustling had been but with how much noise this thing was making, it must have been larger than some small forest critter. Was she perhaps going to have to fight here? Hopefully not..! Even Althaea knew just how outclassed she would be in such a situation! She most assuredly wasn't built for combat in any regard. Only to assist others with whatever they had needed the assistance for. "Uh... I'm not quite so sure that we should be sticking around here."
A spinning Klara would eventually catch Althaea's eye and cause her to spin around a bit as well, until the both of them had firmly laid a gaze upon a dark skinned girl with crème blonde rabbit ears and hair. "Awww, you are so adora-" It was at this point that the rabbit eared girl would begin to speak up. From what she had been hearing, this rabbit eared girl had believed herself to be... a fae? While it was certainly possible for this to be the case, it was just as possible to assume that she was a young dwarven child acting as a fae. Even the possibility that a dwarven lass had chosen to transform part of herself with transformation magic would have been a viable belief here. But a fae...? Well, she might as well play along with this little game. After all, there was no such thing as a fae, right? Even with the blatantly obvious fae like appearance that the girl had dawned, Althaea had almost outright refused to believe it. If she were to give in here, it would be like telling her that all of the stories that her father had read to her as a child had been true. Brain eating fae... That was something that she simply couldn't believe was real. Not without further proof at least.
"Great, great ancestors huh? Well I'm not so sure about Miss Klara's ancestors but if anyone's ancestors were to have made a pact with a fae than I suppose it would have been mine." As Althaea would speak these words, she would humbly place a hand over her chest whilst offering the small child a heart filled grin. Of course she hadn't wished to take Klara's words to heart here. Rather than believe that this child was a fae of some kind, Althaea would gently place a singular hand upon the dwarves shoulder whilst giving her a reaffirming nod. "No need to worry, Klara. You just have to apologize, right? And then we can complete a simple favor for the girl and be on our way. I'm sure that her mother isn't too far from here anyways." Taking a moment to scan the surrounding area, Althaea would eventually return her gaze back to the bunny eared child. "So what kind of favor is it that you are hoping to get, miss...?"

The fae chuckled arrogantly as at least one of the girls agreed to comply with her. "Thank you for aiding in maintain this sacred pack between humans and as your kind call us, fae. I'm happy the taller ones of your kind are much reasonable compared to the irritable tiny people." The Fae tilted her head cheerfully, "In your language I am called Fae Revealer and my request is most simple for humans of your stature. Yes yes, but first. My apologize. It hurts to be equated to horrible creatures." The fae raise a hand to rub her eye as if she was about to cry.
The girl just groaned. This was dumb and she was getting a bit annoy at being called short by someone shorter than her. Still, she wanted to get to Nairn as soon as possible and not waste time with this creature, at least any more time then she had to. "Fine. Sorry for saying fae eat brains or whatever." She folded her arms with a forced smile and rolled her eyes, "Just tell us what you want so we can go and get on with our lives." When she looked down at the fae, the creature was gone.
"Yay, so for my favor." The creature was next to Althaea attempting to guide her towards Nairn, "I want a guide to explore the kingdom. See, humans are not nice creatures and lack understand, education. I wish to learn more about you all. Your customs, way of lives, traditions, and food." The sparkles in her eyes turned into stars and she started rubbing her mouth. "Lets go, lets go." The fae would then grab Althaea's hand and attempt to pull her down the road. Assuming Althaea went along with this the girl would be in complete shock, standing their by herself as the two got farther away from her.
"But... Wait. DON'T LEAVE ME BY MYSELF. YOU PROMISE TO WALK WITH ME FIRST ALTHAEA!" She shouted while chasing after them.
Upon reaching city the fae clutched onto Althaea's leg with a worried look. The sound of whispering was everywhere. People avoided them as if there was an human repellant around Althaea. The few faces the were able to see were filled with worry, disgusts, or scorn. "Is... there somewhere... less busy we can visit first?"

Even though this tiny fae, which was more likely to be anything other than that, had been trying to guide Althaea towards Nairn, Althaea wasn't going to just leave Klara behind. She had agreed to walk alongside her on the way back after all. It is for this reason that despite the fact that the child like fae was trying to urge her in a particular direction whilst practically pulling her along, that Althaea would attempt to walk slow enough for her newfound dwarven companion to follow after them. She couldn't just leave her on her own, out in these woods, after having agreed to accompany on her journey. That simply wasn't the kind of person that she had been.
"Now now, Miss Revealer. You can't just take someone and expect them to guide you throughout the entire kingdom. That is simply an unreasonable request to make of somebody." Despite the appearance that this fae had possessed, Althaea still wasn't quite sure whether or not this had been a genuine thing or not. Part of her had refused to acknowledge the fact that this might have been an actual fae and simply believed that this was someone whose illusion magic was far superior to her sensory capabilities at the moment. That being the case, it was entirely likely that this pretender had been some kind of spy! There was no real way for her to know the truth of course... That this had indeed been an actual fae. "People have lives, y'know? And while I would love to be your friend and show you around the kingdom, I have already promised Miss Klara that I would escort her back to town. If you would like though, you may accompany us." Turning about so that she could take a quick glance at Klara, Althaea would smile and continue on with the conversation. "That's alright with you, right Klara?"
Eventually the trio would arrive within the town of Nairn. Upon arriving, the first thing that Althaea would do is look for the bell tower of the church that she had known was located within. As she had done such, she would lightly clutch at the cross that had been hanging from her collar and would give it a soft squeeze before letting it go. "I'm not quite sure if you guys are up for it but if you would like, we can head to the Church of Clover. I highly doubt that anyone there would ostracize you for being a fae, Miss Revealer." The hand that had just been holding onto the cross would now drop down to her side as Althaea would kneel down. She couldn't help but slightly ruffle the hair of the rabbit girl, doing her best to avoid messing with the ears too much. "Before we get moving though, I just want you to know that there is nothing to worry about from the people here though. Even though they may seem anxious at the moment, it's simply because they have never seen anything like you before. New things can be scary at times, right? If you try and interact with them though, just be sure to be nice and things will work out. That's the proper thing to do in this world."

"Wow. The human realm is so different then. Where I'm from..." The fae grew quiet and started humming as if they left their body in auto pilot. The fae broke away from Althaea and started twirling with their hands out. Then they stopped and took a deep breath before opening their eyes. "Okay then. Since my request is unreasonable for the humans, I will accept that as some information about the kingdom. The fact that one cannot simply explore it all so easily it telling in itself. Though I do wonder how humans can manage such a space large space. You do have one leader no? So much work. They must be a extremely proficient human or a very ignorant human. So fascinating. So wonderful. Then I change my request to show me around the location called Nairn. I do believe it is close and would not be as difficult yes yes, no, maybe? Thank you!" The fae would then glomp on to Althaea and continue attempting to pull her along.
Once arriving in town and seeing all the people's reactions to the Fae being here, Althaea offered to take them to the church. There was suppose to be less people there and Althaea also attempted to give the creature some assurance. The fae however gave an awkward smile. "Well... actually, I am not the first of my people to visit you humans. Humans are so interesting and have some interesting reactions to things. Exploring this and a slight bit of ignorance on our side may have possible lead to my kind not being well liked. But thats why I have come. See, for with more understand, my people can better learn how to interact with the humans and perhaps better the games we play with them."
The girl was quiet for the most part but seeing all the scorn that the fae was receiving was to the very least interesting. She personally knew what it was like to be outcast. Still, having that clarification from the horses mouth. It was admirable to admit to being in the wrong. So at the very least, the girl decided to step up as a fellow unwanted person. "If your story is true fae, then I'll assist you a little bit. Tiny tiny bit. Before we go to the church, Lets get something to eat. That's something you seemed interested in."
"Oh wow human! I thought you absolute hated me and had the anger of the "I'm so short," but now I have to reconsider my notes. This is great information. So wonderful." "You are really pushing your luck fae. especially for someone shorter than me." "Nonsense. This isn't my true form. I only choose this because humans tend to be more appeased to this form." The girl just glared at the tiny tot. "Oh smell! There is an alluring aroma. Over there. I wish to try that burnt and charred stick of animal flesh."
As the small fae skipped off away from the girl's aggressive looks, the girl shuttered. Her way of wording things was so abnormal. While she really did not think fae ate brains of people, after hearing that last statement, she definitely could not say she was not more likely to entertain the idea. Following the creature she saw something even more concerning. The fae just picked up a kabob and ate it and started walking away. The Stall owner stood there a bit shocked and was seemingly ready to jump the stall but the girl rushed over to stop him. "I'm so sorry. She is... uh... new... and stupid. Here. How much did it cost. I will pay."
This repeated about 2 more times before the girl just picked up the fae creature to stop her from moving and "stealing" another round of food. "Look fae. You cannot just grab food without paying for it. You can't really grab anything without paying for it."
"Oh... thats strange... Ohhh wait thats right. I need to give them something first. I have some swell acorns and-" The girl interrupted the fae creature, "Nope. Only money. No acorns, no gems, no 'Treasures' just money... from that kingdom... from that time." "Aww poo... Well I think I'm done eating. I want to see the church with the nicer human." "Nicer... NICER. Look you little..." the girl stopped and screamed, "Whatever!" However, the girl suddenly found her hands empty of any fae creatures. She then looked up and saw the fae tightly hugging Althaea.

Seeing that things were going to get a tad out of hand if they were to leave this little one alone, Althaea had chosen to follow after Klara and the supposed Fae. They had run from stall after stall and would eventually end up in a situation that would leave Klara having to pay for the food that the revealer had chosen to consume on her own. Truthfully this girl was a bit of a hassle to have to deal with but that could be said about any child. "I suppose that we should get heading on over to the church then, yeah?" Once the supposed Fae and Klara had wrapped things up on their end, and the fae would begin to cling to her leg once more, Althaea would proceed to lead the pair of them off towards the church. While she had never really been here before, she had been confident in knowing the location of the church. The bell tower had been quite the ringer of a give away, naturally.
Eventually the trio would find themselves in front of a rather large church building. All kinds of children, nuns, deacons, and priests had been meandering about throughout the area and had indeed been taking a few curious glances in the faes direction. It may have been rather strange for some bunny eared girl to appear out of nowhere to the adults but to the children, it had been a delightful wonder. It wouldn't take long after the trio had arrived for the orphans of the church to come rushing over to the small group and for them to begin their own little inspections of the bunny eared girl. Various little oo's and ah's could be heard from the children as they had begun to try and reach out to pull on the faes floppy ears. "W-what do you think that you are doing to me human spawn?!" Not wishing for her appendages to be poked, prodded, or played with, the fae would begin to scurry up Althaea's leg and would continue until she had sat upon her shoulders.
Althaea herself hadn't been quite sure how to react at this moment but thankfully she wasn't going to need to do as much on her own. Having seen the way that the bunny eared girl had reacted to the children's actions, one of the nuns would rush on over and begin to awkwardly laugh whilst apologizing. She would explain how the children were just playing around with her and hoping to get to know her better but that they had lacked certain social graces. "Hmph! Well don't expect me to come down there and let you touch my ears, you children. They are sensitive..!" The fae would than begin to rub at her ears as Althaea would allow for a sigh to slip from her lips. "Come now, friend, is that any way to act towards a child? Of course not. In fact, I think that you should take the time to get to know about why these children are even here in the first place. Maybe then you would be nicer to them." The elf would than reach up and pluck the fae from off of her shoulders before setting her down on the ground. "Would you mind sharing with my friend why it is that you guys are here..? You don't have to discuss the reasonings behind it if you don't want."
Truthfully, the question that she had been asking them had been a rather rough one for these children to answer. They were all here because of the fact that they were orphans after all. Some of them had been abandoned by their parents while others had parents that had died. It wasn't very often that a child had found themselves in the care of the Church of Clover at such a young age without something having happened to them. Even knowing this though, she had still asked. She had done as such so that she could show this individual that it isn't always best to act out towards people that you don't know. This is due to the fact that you never know what someone else had gone through. A point that she would make as the nun from beforehand would nod to the children and allow for them to share their stories.
"O-oh... I didn't really consider the fact that there were people in your world that were this sad about things. I just figured that you guys weren't as much fun as us since your people never really seemed to want to play any of our games. I.. should really go tell the others about this. Thank you for showing me these things." The fae would then proceed to rush on over towards Althaea once more before hugging her tightly again. "I hope to see you again!" Her eyes would than drift towards Klara before sticking her tongue out at her. "You too shorty! Hopefully you'll be taller the next time that I'm around~" With that the fae would smile to everyone around before a green light would envelop them and their form would begin to glow a bright green. "I'll see you guys next year!" And with that, the green light would dissipate into various particles of light, leaving Althaea and everyone else quite baffled at the fact that this had indeed been a fae. "S-she was... real?"
