It had been a long time since Nova laid eyes on her. He knew who she was now since he had done his homework. He had to figure out who the mysterious girl was as she didn’t share her name in their last meeting. Her being a noble with silver hair made it all too easy. Her name was Stark, Aura Stark and that information was all he needed to contact her. He just needed the perfect reason to get her there. The thing that was so important or special was the fact that she was much different from anyone he ever met. Sure his friend Lustian was cool but he was not Aura Stark cool. The girl had the guts to tell him off and it was so effortless that instead of repelling him, it made him attracted to her. Just the way she showed a powerful front without even trying was something Nova never thought he’d ever see. She was a lesser noble but that was irrelevant as she had the heart of someone who was a main noble or even a royal and he could get behind that. What exactly was her secret? Was it the way she was raised or did she develop this on her own with her group of friends, that was considering she did have friends. Well, she had to have friends, right? She was very attractive like a magnet and beautiful to add to that. More to add was the fact that she was nobility so of course she had friends. It would be crazy for her not to have friends and while that was happy, there was also a sad element to it. Nova on the other hand was clueless in how to make friends or even to get people to genuinely like him. It was a byproduct of his father’s teachings during his childhood. Nova really hated the man for the terrible job he did as a father as well as the way he stood by and let his mother perish. If it wasn’t for Lustian who decided to be Nova’s first friend, the man would be friendless and only surrounded by his servants who were at best barely tolerable. Speaking of which, he did make changes to how things were being done which was something he promised himself he would get done. The service from those in service was much better and he was more appreciative of their job. It also helped that his beverages were at the perfect temperatures. He was sure that the staff enjoyed not being ridiculed and scolded for the simple mistakes they used to make.
Why was the search for Aura Stark so important? Well, aside from the obvious, Nova wanted her to assist with a particular task. As a noble who lived in the Town of Silva, he was contacted by one of the photographers of The Cloversationist, an elite fashion magazine in the Clover Kingdom. While the famous magazine was high in demand, the head publisher and the person in charge of the decisions wanted something new and exciting for their patrons to enjoy. Their stupid idea was trying to get a main noble magic knight to come in and do some modeling. Having been a member of the Silver Eagles and living in the Town of Silva made things very convenient to the photographer. He contacted Nova and made requests for him to take the modeling job. Of course, the job was something Nova thought was a waste of time and wasn’t very keen on doing it. He didn’t need to do it for yul since he was doing pretty well but the photographer persisted. Finally getting overly annoyed with the man, Nova was going to get rid of him by giving him what he wanted but of course there was going to be a catch with it. ”I’m going to do it if it will shut you up but there is a catch, of course. I will only do it if a certain female model is used. I hope you understand that she will be paid as well. If you’re wondering, yes, she is a noble magic knight as well. So, do we have a deal?” Seeing no reason to decline, the photographer agreed. The young Silva male figured trying to get the photographer to agree with him was going to be much harder but he was not quite right. He could only guess that the desperation for him was that high that it didn’t take much to convince them. With things in place, Nova just needed to reach out and contact Aura. Since he knew how to do so, this became his priority.
With all of that done, Nova wrote an invitation to Aura. The invitation included the date, time as well as location. Nova included the reason for the invite which was the mission requesting noble magic knights to model and be photographed. He also mentioned that he specifically wanted her to accompany him on this mission as he thought of her as elegant. Nova wasn’t exactly great with the romantic stuff or even the idea of trying to impress a girl but he had to try somehow. All he could do now was wait for the time to see if the princess would show. On the day, he walked to the spot he told her to meet him at and waited. WC: 915 TWC:

The day had started as every day had in the past when she was on her family's estate. She woke and was fussed over by the maids from the bath being drawn, helping her bathe, dry, choosing her clothing and dressing. In honesty, this bothered the hell out of her. It was almost as if she couldn't do these basic things on her own and where she understood it was due to her status she found it insulting. Still, she knew better than to create a fuss as although she had rarely, if ever, heard the word 'no' she knew fine well her father had a darker side that even she wasn't exempt from. He had been furious when he found out she had turned down offers from more prestigious magic knight squads for a mid to lower-tier one. It was because of her decision that she finally found out that she had a sibling.
She had yet to confront her father on that, which was something she believed Valo should also be there for and they both would have questions for the man. She had questions for her mother but she wasn't mentally ready to handle such a meeting, then again Valo had more or less vanished from the public eye which concerned her. Something inside her knew that he hadn't perished but she also had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach when she thought about his disappearance. That was a matter for another time as she knew he was strong enough to look after himself even if he still hadn't figured out what a door or steps were. In a way, she envied the freedom and carefree nature he had while she was restrained within the apparent freedom her father's wealth afforded her.
When dressed she headed to the dining hall and sat across the table from her father who was reading over what she could only imagine to be financial and business reports. "Good morning father." she said as a butler swooped in to help her take her seat. Seeing her mantle he sighed "You could have done so much better than that second-rate squad filled with thugs." he commented "I know you are disappointed in my decision father but I made my choice and I believe it was the right one." her voice was calm as she moved to pick up her teacup that had just finished having being poured. "You don't know what's the best choice for you, you're still a child." his voice was calm but it was cold, she knew unless everything was just so in her father's eyes it would never be right and she knew better than to challenge this fact as she was still his child.
She couldn't help sigh "Yes father, I know." was all she could say wishing he had gone to breakfast with friends "This is just a rebellious phase I'm sure and you'll fix it sooner rather than later." he commented watching as his daughter looked into her tea. She had no intention of changing squads, she liked her captain he was delightfully strange and it was true a lot of the green mantis were formerly on the wrong side of the law they had repented and now served the kingdom. There were other nobles within the squad, she had to wonder if their family's acted the same way. "Father, I have no intention of changing squads regardless of what you think of them, the decision was mine and mine alone to make." she normally wouldn't challenge him on such matters but he had 'raised' a strong-willed daughter.
It was then one of the butlers walked in and held out a letter to her which caused her to quirk an eyebrow as she wasn't expecting anything. Her father seemed curious about it and observed as he read over the files and drank his coffee. "Lady Stark, a letter has arrived for you from house Silva." the butler had stated as he had been the one to deal with the messenger. "The Silva?" her father said putting down his paper now fully interested in what was going on. "Yes father, it's likely from that one I told you jamp into the ocean at the flower blossom fete wearing his clothing." she still hadn't been able to get over why anyone would ruin their clothing over an egg. She had taken the letter, broke the wax seal and began to open it.
"It seems he has requested me personally to be a female model at a photo shoot in the town of Silva that he is going to be part of. Not interested." she said simply handing the letter back to the butler "I'll send my response shortly." she said as she picked up her tea. "You will be attending Aura." her father's tone showed that this wasn't a request but a demand "Making ties with the Silva will be beneficial." he finished making her want to roll her eyes, she didn't want to be used as one of her father's pawns nor did she really want to be modelling in her mind she had better things to be doing which meant literally anything else. Still, she didn't want to be in her father's bad books "Fine... Owen get a carriage prepared for the journey." she said dismissing him.
The rest of her breakfast was peaceful as her father seemed to forget her squad choice as it seemed she was still making connections to influential people. When she was done, she stood walking over to her father and kissed him on the cheek which she had always done before leaving the house and getting into the carriage so she could get this task done as quickly as she possibly could. She had to wonder why on earth Nova had requested her as he knew fine well she wouldn't bend the knee to him just because he was a Silva and would call him out of his foolishness.
With everything in place, Nova waited patiently for Aura. If she wasn’t going to come, would she notify him that she was not going to come? Of course she would. She was a noblewoman and that meant that she was taught manners and decency growing up. It would be rather uncouth for her to not send a reply which could mark a bad target on her family’s name. That was pretty much common knowledge among noble families. One of the families you had to make sure not to cross or disrespect was the Silva family. While other families were known for their many whatevers, The Silva were revered as a strong noble family with elitist ideals. This family was one of honor and pride. If there was something a member of this family would do to another family if they felt insulted it was running that family’s name into the mud.
The last person to try that, well, let’s just say their family was dragged so far into the mud that they would never ever recover. Were the Silva remorseful of other families who suffered under their boot for insolence? Absolutely not. Did they care about families who were destroyed because of them? They most definitely did not. It was all about what can help them look great while ruining the ones who tried to stand against their greatness. Sure there were a few exceptions from the rule with House Vermillion who rivaled House Silva. What was so great about a house of hot headed nobles who couldn’t tell the difference between delicate and fragile? They were just a bunch of idiots running around with fire magic. What was their stupid tradition again? Oh that’s right! Planting trees to signify something that didn’t make sense. They’d be better off with some sort of fiery coming of age ritual than planting a tree that they were probably going to end up accidentally burning. If they really thought they were even on the same level of House Silva then they were sadly mistaken.
Was Nova really nervous that she wouldn’t show or did he really want her to not be ignoring him? Well, for the first time in his life he felt like he needed to be the best version of him. Not the him that his father painted him to be but the him his mother was trying to shape. Not the him who’s whole thing was set on destroying others and their lives but the him that wanted to be special to someone. He had been filled with ego since he was born but outside of that, he knew there were flaws. Flaws he would never admit. Overall, he found Aura to be attractive and in more than just looks but also by the way she just wouldn’t bend to his word. It was surely unexpected and that made it stand out for him.
Breaking Nova out of his mind was the photographer, annoying the Silva male about starting without the female. “Come on, come on! Let’s get this show on the road. Are you sure this female model of yours is coming? She doesn’t even remotely seem to be interested or else she would have sent word by now that she was coming or not coming. Isn’t that what a decent person would do? Let’s just get started and when she comes, if she does come, we can slot her in.” He probably shouldn’t have done that since Nova was already annoyed with him to begin with and him doing that didn’t put him in a better light. ”I have half the mind to just cancel the whole experience but then if she did indeed come I would have wasted her time and I am not going to do that. Now, as I stated when I made the agreement, I am only doing this if she is here and she is a part of this experience. As you can see, SHE IS NOT HERE YET!” He took a deep breath and spoke again. ”Now then, should you say anything else that annoys me, your employer will be needing a new photographer because your name would be terrible for business.”
Not long after, Nova noticed Aura’s carriage which brought a smile to his face. When the carriage stopped, he let her get out before offering her a hand. ”It is good to see you again, Miss Stark. You look quite delightful which seems to be the usual. Now then, shall we get started?”
Being very eager to take the pictures of the two Noble Magic Knights, the photographer excitedly got his camera. Even he had to admit that the woman who stepped out of the carriage was a sight to behold. He could see why Nova was so adamant to not do it without her let alone start and slot her in later. He could understand or maybe he was just over simplifying things because she was gorgeous. ”Ah yes! You must be the female model that Lord Silva was adamant on waiting on. Once you two are ready to begin, we will go inside and have you both change into what you’ll be wearing for the shoot.”
After speaking with Aura if she did have something to say, Nova would follow the photographer inside. He had no intention of wearing any outfits that weren’t custom made for him. That was why he had one of the people who was in charge of keeping his clothing in great condition waiting on the inside. He took the clothes and changed in the changing room, walking out with an outfit he had made just for the occasion. ”Let us begin.”
It wasn't exactly a long journey after all her family dwelled within the town of Babal while he resided in the town named after his family. She understood being proud of your family name and wanting it to be known, but to her, having an entire city named after your family was more than a little tacky. Still, this city had been around for centuries and she doubted anything less than an act of a daemon was going to flatten the damned place. As bad as it was she wished the town of Silva had been attacked by the daemons over Raque and more so Kikka. She didn't pry into her brother's life experiences, it wasn't her place and she was sure that he would let her know things in due time. She could tell he was carrying around a lot of pain and guilt, she was unsure if it was because she was reading it from him or if it was her twin senses tingling.
It hadn't been her alone within the carriage but her personal butler and lady in waiting, they both acted as tutors of sorts but she was also quite sure this was her father's way of keeping an eye on her considering who she was invited by. She didn't need babysitting, she was a magic knight now, after all, still, it was clear her father was still upset with her and so this was her punishment. That's how she saw it at least. Then again, it would be quite unusual for a young noblewoman not to have a lady in waiting and a guard she supposed. It was quite an uneventful journey, they attempted to engage her in conversation but she was having none of it, she didn't even want to be doing this stupid task.
Eventually, after an hour or so, the carriage came to a gentle halt showing they had arrived at the designated area. The first to make any movement was her butler who opened the carriage door and exited before holding out his hand, this was the signal for Aura to make her way out of the carriage. Taking her butler's hand daintily she exited allowing him to help her lady in waiting afterwards. "If you wish to be called Lord Silva, I suggest you call me Lady Stark it is only correct is it not?" her voice was straight to the point, her eyes went to the tall male behind her as he coughed indicating for her to mind her tone, she was already wishing this day was already over. She hated the town of Silva and being forced to be there to fulfil an obligation she didn't want was making her mood sour worse than what it had been previously.
"The day is young, so I can't exactly comment if it has been a delight to see you again." she began looking him up and down before looking over at the photographer "Thank you for the compliment, I see you look and smell better than when we last met, but then, at least you don't look like a walking paint disaster like some people." she couldn't help but notice how mix matched and fluorescent the photographers clothing was. She honestly wished she was blind at that moment as her eyes felt like they were burning. The moment he opened his mouth with the over-excitable energy was grating to her. "How much coffee and sugar have you had? Because you really need to cut back." she said with a frustrated sigh 'I'm starting to wonder out of these two which annoys me the most.' she thought to herself.
Placing her hand on top of Nova's just slightly as she allowed herself to be escorted in properly, ordinarily, her clothing was custom tailored for her but this was a photoshoot and that meant that she had to wear what she had been given. Once they were to part she allowed her butler and lady in waiting to escort her but entered the room alone. Before long she saw what she was being expected to wear and screamed before leaving the room before her 'escorts' had a chance to enter it. "HOW DARE YOU?!" she yelled throwing what appeared to be a very revealing bikini on the ground. She would wear pretty much anything but she was not going to put her body on show for men to gawk at it as if she was some sort of two yul lady of the night from a brothel in the rogue's refuge. She was honestly ready to walk out then and there.

NOVA SILVA - Behold the Glory of House Silva
While he waited for Aura in annoyance, he did his best to not to hurt the person who was annoying him the most. He never expected to have to deal with constant nagging from a man who’s job was being a photographer. Sure, the magazine sold lots of copies to many nobles and commoners alike. That didn’t give the photographer the right to rush a noble and not just any noble but a Silva at that. The first thing was Nova didn’t exactly want to the job but since the magazine seemed so desperate for a noble, what better one could they get than a true noble, right? Even so, he made a condition and that condition was the only way he was doing this stupid photoshoot. He wanted to see the girl who was different from anyone else he had ever met. She caught his eye and that was why he wanted a chance to at least see her again. This was mentally stressful for the noble though he would never admit it. He wanted her to like him and that was what stressed him out the most. He had never wanted anyones approval until now. Meeting Lustian changed him slightly. Having just one person accept him made him want to be accepted by others. It was quite weird since all his life he never needed anyone else’s approval but now he wanted hers. Was it because she was the first one to speak her mind freely, not afraid of repercussions? Was it because she insulted him in a teasing sarcastic way? What was it about this girl that drew him to her? Whatever it was, Nova liked the effect it had on him. He liked that she had a personality and wasn’t afraid to show it to the world. To him, she was strong. She could be his future wife and the mother of his kids. First he had to get her to like him and then maybe fall for him. Whatever it took right? Well, here was his opportunity to see her again. This was his condition and he was going to enforce it.
With a condition set, Nova got the information from the man about the job. With that knowledge, he had to figure out his greeting and how he would phrase the mission. After all, he wanted her to come right? While he could get one of his loyal subjects to write the invitation letter for him, he didn’t want that. He believed that would make it less intimate. With that in mind, he sat at his desk pondering on his words. As he finished thinking, he started writing that invitation. With his invitation written, he sent it to her and it felt like a relieving glass of refreshing water. The only thing that was next on his mind was the actual job. That was a problem for the future so he quieted his mind about it and focused on other things until that time came.
On the day of the job, Nova was early as he hated being late or waiting on anyone. Waiting wasn’t an option Nova usually had when it came to others but he figured it would be better if he waited to see if Lady Aura Stark would show. There was no guarantee that she would and if she decided not to show then there would be no photoshoot. Waiting patiently, surprisingly, Nova was calm about it but that calmness dissipated when the photographer decided to open his mouth. He even had the audacity to try to rush Nova into doing the job without Aura. This guy was treading on thin ice. Nova wanted to not take the job but for the sake of not wasting Aura’s time, he decided against it; in the event she showed up, that was. Luckily for him, she showed up shortly after. Getting his greeting out, Aura throwed him what seemed to be her usual attitude of not just accepting what is presented. She requested to be called Lady Stark to which he smiled lightly. ”You’re right, it is only correct. Lady Stark. I hope your travel was more than pleasant.” And just like that, her snarky side was out once again. It was interesting how she switched to that side so quickly and back. ”I guess I’ll take that as a compliment.” Mentally he was suffering. She showed up and now his words just weren’t coming together in his head. Even so, he kept his calm demeanor on the outside.
After Aura spoke with the photographer, she took Nova’s hand and allowed him to escort her in. As he walked with her to get inside, he wore a small smile. He could feel just how smooth her hand was. Of course, her hand was smooth. She was of nobility! When it came time to part, Nova released her hand so she could freely move into the changing room. Since he had what he wanted to wear ready, he got changed and stepped out of the room ready to begin. That’s when he heard Aura scream and yell out ‘how dare you’. Nova rushed to the room where she was. Someone was going to get it if anything happened to her. When he arrived, he saw her standing there angrily. ”What happened?” He then saw the bikini that she had thrown on the floor. The photographer rushed in that much later, of course. ”YOU!” Nova was obviously beyond pissed. They couldn’t really expect her to wear something so skimpy, could they? She was a noble and thus should be respected as such even in their choice of clothing.
As if there was nothing wrong or at least anything he could find wrong, the photographer spoke. ”Is something wrong?” Nova folded his arms and looked down at the man. ”You don’t see what’s wrong?!” He grabbed the bikini off the floor and handed it to the man. ”That is what is wrong! Show her some respect! What kind of respectful photographer would have a noblewoman dress up like a trollop?! It’s either you get her something more appropriate or I make this magazine go bye bye! Better yet, I’ll decide what she’s wearing out of the mess you have!” Nova didn’t know why but he felt protective over Aura. She was the one he wanted to be by his side forever, to mother his kids. It was weird how one encounter could do that to you. He walked over to the pile of female fashion choices and found something he liked and hoped she liked. He grabbed what he saw and returned to Aura. ”Lady Stark, would this be more suitable for you?” All throughout this, the photographer was silent as he didn’t want to piss Nova off anymore than he already was. Nova looked at Aura to see what she thought of the outfit. WC: 1171 TWC: 3053
It was when Nova stated that she was correct that if he wished for himself to be addressed formally it was only right that she was too. This made her internally chuckle as she had never heard of a Silva being so people-pleasing, they were the types to believe that the universe revolved around them normally. She kept her thoughts to herself about how the Silva heir was acting and smiled though sighed when he asked her about her journey "It was quite uneventful and boring, I did have a way to keep myself entertained however." she replied to him "As you didn't have far to travel I would believe your journey was quick and pleasant." she commented with a calm tone. In honesty, she didn't care but she knew she had to play nice with Nova as this was what was expected of her by her father.
"You can take it how you like." she said covering her mouth to yawn, she wanted to get this task over and done with quickly so she could actually do something else that she wanted to do and at that current moment in time that was anything other than the photoshoot. Still, they had walked inside and gone to their individual dressing rooms, she knew that this was an uncommon occurrence for models, especially new ones, however, they were nobility so special arrangements would have needed to be made or all hell could and likely would break loose. It was when she was inside her changing room she saw what she was expected to wear and all but lost it on the photographer, the nerve of him and his staff to wear such scandalously skimpy clothing that the entirety of Clover would be able to see. She was not going to stand for it.
It was then that Nova came to see what the commotion was about and she glared at him, it was because of him that she was in such a situation and she was less than impressed about it. "I can say currently it has been less than pleasant to see you again Lord Silva." was it his choice of what she was to wear? She knew that he wouldn't have had any say in that. Did she blame him for it nonetheless? Most definitely. He was the one that had invited her to this stupid photoshoot so she held him to blame for the entire situation. It was then that Nova saw the bikini and he himself seemed to hit the roof on the matter. He picked it up and when the photographer spoke to him not realizing what the issue was Nova seemed to have a few choice words for the man.
He even stated that he himself would choose what she would be wearing for the shoot, she dreaded to think what he would choose for her if she was perfectly honest but before she could say anything he had already wandered over to the female clothes and started going through them. She had to admit, his protectiveness was rather endearing. She looked to her handmaiden who had been chuckling after seeing the light blush on the wind mage's face. With one look the maid quickly quieted down knowing Aura was in no mood currently for such antics. Before she knew it Nova had returned with a two-piece swimsuit and a colourful transparent top to go over it. It looked good and was something that she herself would wear to the beach, it turned out that he did in fact have good taste. Who knew?
Taking the garments she looked them over as if trying to see if there was anything wrong with them, given what she was previously asked to wear it was easy to deduce why. Although the truth was she wanted to find fault in them because of who handed them to her she couldn't, this was her style for beachwear. "These will work fine, thank you Lord Silva." without another word she moved back to her dressing room and closed the door behind her, her cheeks flushing a little the moment that she was in private. "You chose well Master Silva, my lady's taste in swimwear is very close to what you picked for her to wear." the maid said with a giggle though she was nudged a little by Owen to hush her before she said anything more. "If you excuse us Lord Silva, we must be prepared in case our lady requires assistance." with that they both bowed and went to wait by the door.

NOVA SILVA - Behold the Glory of House Silva
Nova was nervous while around Aura but he was happy that she showed up. When she requested to be called Lady Stark, he accommodated her and he noticed the smile. When asked if her travel was pleasant, she regarded it as uneventful and boring. Seeing where she had to be coming from, he could understand how that could be. At least she did have a way to keep herself entertained. When she asked if his trip was quick and pleasant, he smiled. He was doing it! He was talking to her and it wasn’t blowing up in his face as much as he thought it would have. He imagined that if he failed badly here, he wouldn’t hear the end of it from his little brother and sister. He loved them to death but damn they could get really annoying sometimes. ”Yes. You would be correct in believing that. I do hope that your return trip will be less boring.” When she told him that he looked and smelled better than when they last met, which he took as a compliment.
After they got inside and went to their separate changing rooms, Nova got ready and stepped out of the room, ready to start. That was when he heard the yells of Aura. After rushing to the scene to see what was wrong, he noticed. She was standing in front of the problem which she had thrown to the floor. Nova felt angry and protective over Aura. When the photographer showed up, Nova had growled at the man who couldn’t see the problem. He demanded that respect be shown to Aura while tearing the photographer a new one. After getting his rant out, he decided to personally choose something for the lady to wear. He could hear the light chuckles of the handmaiden behind him but he didn’t let that stop him from focusing on finding something better.
After finding something suitable, he presented it to Aura and asked her if it was better suited for her. She took it from him and examined it, rightfully so. She told him that the chosen outfit would work fine and she thanked him. Before he could tell her that she was welcomed, she had disappeared. The handmaiden spoke up and told him that he chose well as the outfit he picked out was close to her style for beachwear. He was relieved that he managed to get something that she would like. He noticed that the handmaiden was giggling yet again. What was so funny? Did he do something to make her laugh? Was it hilarious to see him get protective or was it something he missed while his back was to Aura? Whatever it was, he seemed to be doing a good job to be on Aura’s good side. The handmaiden got nudged by Owen who then addressed Nova, telling him to excuse them as they needed to be at the ready should their lady need them. It made sense. ”Of course. I’ll be over here waiting for Lady Stark.” With that said, Nova took a seat and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He found himself blushing after his mind caught up with him in all that he did. Luckily, he was being bothered. Now it was simply a moment of waiting for Aura to come out dressed in the beachwear. WC: 568 TWC: 3,621
