[attr="class","silasreescroll"] Squeak squeak... squeak squeak squeak. The rubber soles of Leonard's open toed boots creaked as he walked around the halls of the Lions. The youing noble had received word that there would be fresh blood coming in. Apparently, some real talented folk. While the Lions did not really care about standing, only personal archievement and might, it was mostly a house of nobles, so to hear that a commoner was going to join with a three leaf clover grimoire wasn't unhead of, but definitely not the usual. That, and the second guy was no slouch either. Noble, yes, but there were rumors of a four leaf clover on their grimoire. Definitely a head turner. [break][break] Leonard stepped outside, boots hitting dust and sand as he made his way towards the training fields that were reserved for the squads in the noble region. He had booked himself a space to meet the two new little guys and see for himself how they fared. He wasn't really there to test them, he wasn't a captain or anything. Still, if he had to fight alongside them and put his life on the line he might as well make sure he knew just how much responsibilty he could bequeath to the two new mages. He just hoped the two wouldn't skip the note he left for them. He even went through the trouble of stamping it with the Vermillion sigil. Just to make sure they weren't going to think it would be a scam.
[break][break] "Alrighty then, they should be coming in in the next few minutes..." Leo mumbled to himself as he took center stage on the field and created a nice solidified lava stool for himself to sit on cross legged and leisurely wait them out. He flipped the cape draped on his left shoulder back so it wasn't in the way and began flipping through his own grimoire. Thinking back to when he himself joined, he had done some progress, but he was still far from his own goal. He needed to push harder. Train harder. Who knows. Maybe these two would be prodigies could become his next rivals. Wouldn't be the first time someone would make him die of envy thanks to their strenght...
[break][break] Now then, should he do somekind of flashy entrance? Nah, impressing them wouldn't really accomplish much. If anything he was there to get a vibe off of them and maybe answer a few questions.

Introduction to the High Life
Rammus enjoyed the passing scenery just outside the capital as he sat on the back of the carriage while it transported him to his destination. His lanky legs swung back and forth, a whistle escaping from his lips. Even though he only just passed his exams and was joined into the magic knights, he had yet to actually make his way over to start his journey. Instead, he’d focused on helping his parents and the circus prepare for him to not be around. His father was getting a bit up there in age, but he was still a prime physical specimen. It was really more for his own reasons. The circus had been his everything, so it was hard to leave it behind.
Coming in through the gates, he hopped off and looked around, giving thanks to the merchant who was kind enough to allow him to hitch a ride. It wasn’t even close to the first time in the capital, having done a handful of shows here, but it was like he was seeing it in a new light. This place was now his home, he would train and live with the Magic Knights, mingle with nobles even. He wondered if anyone in the Crimson Lions would recognize him. He was quite the unique looking young teen, and once he started using his magic (which is how he supplemented his act) it would be clear to anyone who’d seen him on stage before.
He made his way through the city, bee-lining straight towards the office of the Crimson Lions, as best he could. A few detours as he got turned around, stopping in a shop to buy some steamed buns for lunch and ending up in a dead end street but he made good time. Eventually he found himself standing outside of the large fortress and the attached prison. He wasn’t sure how he felt about the proximity to it, but he told himself that it was probably for the best. Quick response time to break ins and all. He was curious if part of his duties would include guard duty, either way he chose this life as part of the Crimsons lions.
He was wearing a large, loose black cloak with a hood, though the hood was not on. His sleeves fell past his fingertips by a few inches, and his bare feet were just barely visible in between the half an inch from the end of his coat and the ground. It was a practical outfit for his purposes, the only flavourful addition was the Crimson Lion Mantle that announced to the world his new position. It was what allowed him entrance, though despite his confidence he found himself holding his breath as he entered.
Except he was not supposed to be there. He was quickly informed that someone was waiting for him out in the training fields. So Rammus with a heavy sigh thanked them for the information and wandered around until he found what he was looking for. A large open field with a single person awaiting him, wearing the same mantle as Rammus was.
He waved as soon as he thought he would be in earshot, “Hallo!” His voice was a bit more excited than he wanted to let show, but it was his first day and he was young. He was allowed to let his youthful energy show. As he got closer he’d speak up again, running his hands through the multitude of giant red spikes he called a hairstyle. “Sorry if it took me a hot minute to get here, I’m still relatively new to the city.” Rammus gave his senior a once over, he looked a bit bigger than he was, but the guy was sitting down so it was hard to tell. He had an aura of confidence, so Rammus tried to match it and pretend like he belonged, even though he came from what was effectively the lowest level of society; Performers. So he held his head high, tried to not slouch and suddenly became very aware of the fact he was not wearing shoes.

It was the crack of dawn when Jevi Suru woke up in his new place of residence; the headquarters of the Crimson Lion squad. After a couple of years of wandering and learning about the world around him for himself, Jevi had decided it was time to take the next step in his adventures and join one of the Magic Knight squads in order to serve the Clover Kingdom and protect its citizens. When the recruitment test came around once more, he had signed himself up for it and wondered how well he’d do in them. He had met plenty of amazing wizards and even a witch, Synthia, on his travels. How well would he measure up to them? While he knew his grimoire was rather unique, that didn’t mean he had the means to fully utilize that potential being mostly self-taught in the ways of magic and as such he was still nervous when he took the test. These nerves, however, turned out to have been completely unnecessary. At the end of the test when his judgement came, all of the squad leaders aside from the Blue Rose had put up their hand to show their interest in having Jevi join them. [break][break] That moment had been quite overwhelming for the young elf, as he had not expected such an overwhelming interest and it meant there was a choice to be made. There were a couple of squads that simply didn’t feel like he’d belong such as the Aqua Deer or the Green Mantis. While he could have gone with Golden Dawn or the Silver Eagles due to his noble heritage, he opted not to as it was a heritage he wished to distance himself. If he gave in to that he would only play into his father’s hand and wishes, which is something Jevi was vehemently against doing. While Synthia had chosen the Black Bulls, Jevi wasn’t sure if that was a place he’d be happy with. He’d probably stand out like a sore thumb in that group, which left the Purple Orcas, the Coral Peacock and the Crimson Lion. Looking between the three remaining captains, Jevi made his choice in what seemed to be mere seconds as he opted to join the Crimson Lion squad. Their reputation and focus on protecting the kingdom without looking too deeply into the heritage of their members is what appealed to the young elf the most, and with that his future path had been decided. [break][break] Naturally, Jevi hadn’t skipped the note that he had found previously. It had been stamped with the Crimson Lion insignia, and with that it was clear that it was an official letter written to him by one of his seniors Leonard Vermillion. The Vermillion name held a lot of weight, especially when compared to the Suru name, but that’s not why Jevi had an interest in the letter. The chance to meet with his senior for what he could only imagine would be a training session or a test of their skills was a chance to learn. At this current point in time, Jevi knew that his magic was lacking compared to the senior members of the Crimson Lion and this meant he had to step up and train harder in order to keep up with them. His Sword magic held a lot of potential and was only held back by his own efforts to learn and improve. This chance that Leonard provided him and some other newer members was a great first step towards becoming stronger and in turn becoming of more use to the Clover Kingdom and the squad itself. [break][break] Since he had plenty of time considering how early it was, Jevi got himself ready and dressed in his usual garb. This outfit consisted of leather boots in which he had tucked in his black pants, a blue tunic with golden lining and instead of his usual cloak he now wore the Crimson Lion mantle to signify the squad he aligned himself with. His grimoire was strapped to his waist with a belt, the four-leafed clover symbol invisible at the moment because of it. Jevi remembered how big of a deal it was when he was chosen by this particular grimoire. The four-leafed ones were incredulously rare, and he didn’t like to flaunt it too much when he didn’t need to. Obviously it was shown and noticed during the test, but it wasn’t something he bragged about. [break][break] Now that he had everything he needed and he looked presentable, Jevi made his way outside towards the training field that Leonard had reserved for them. The location had been mentioned in the letter, so it wouldn’t be too hard to find. He had been getting used to the layout of the headquarters in the past few days, after all. As Jevi arrived at the field he noticed a man in a Crimson Lion mantle sitting on a seat which seemed to be made of lava. How interesting. The young elf approached with a smile on his face, moving his hand up to wave to Leonard and grab his attention as he drew closer. Once he was close enough, Jevi put his hand over his heart and made a bow towards Leonard as he spoke. “Good morning. Am I correct to assume you are Leonard Vermillion, the senior who has arranged this training session for us today?” Jevi moved out of his bow, his smile still on his face. “I am Jevi Suru, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” [break][break] Nearing the end of his introduction, another person made himself known. Jevi had seen him during the test and recognized him as one of the fellow examinees who had chosen to join the Crimson Lion afterwards. Just like when he greeted Leonard, Jevi gave a similar bow to Rammus. “A pleasure to see you again as well, Rammus. It looks like we’ll both be under Leonard’s care today.” With the pleasantries out of the way, Jevi turned his attention back to Leonard and awaited his senior’s instructions. This was the start of his new life with the Crimson Lion. His new life as a Magic Knight. He was ready to step up and take charge of his own life and destiny, and abandon the path his father had forged for him and wanted him to thread. No longer would he wander around aimlessly looking for a purpose. He had found one, and this is where it would all begin.
[attr="class","silasreescroll"] So, now that the two where here Leo could see they were already doing the old song and dance of the newbie. "Okay, boys, for the love of the gods drop the senior and the boss and all those titles and things. I have no use for pretty words and to be honest, full name too. Just call me Leo and we will be a-okay." [break][break] Leonard pushed his body upwards, flexing his legs to stand back upright on his open toed boots. He waved a hand and quickly dispelled his sitting spot. From there, he would spend a nice few moments in awkward silence just to see their reactions. He would make full circle around the two before speking up again. Straight to the point.
[break][break] "Like your hairstyle, hate your outfit. Now I ain't got a problem with no armor. I like to be light as well. But a modicum of protection would do you some good, unless you want to walk barefoot on lava, spikes or other nasty things. Or perhaps... you think your mana skin can handle it. In that case, I think I like you a bit more already." Leo pointed at the guy with the mess of red hair. The color wasn't too far from his. If they were side by side and he was sporting more gold inlaids perhaps people would have mistaken them for cousins or siblings. Not dwelling on the ifs and buts, he moved to the other guy. Definitely noble. Noble trying not to appear one. "And you must be the special boy then?" he would comment, waving his hand around to catch his flying grimoire, only to slap it back into the holster behind his back. "The one with four leaves. Well you don't look like much. My advice for you is not to let the attention go to your head. Might makes right, until you find someone else who can kick your ass with a plain old common looking grimoire. You know, sometimes I pity people like you. The expectation to perform and the whole deal about your powers. It's pressure not many people can take."
[break][break] Having said his piece, the Vermillion flicked his mantle backwards and took his place before the two once more. Folding his arms, he once again started gazing left then right. "Alright then, I'm here today to answer any question you have about the squad, rules and the like as best I can. That includes sparring, if you are so inclined. My name is Leonard Vermillion or simply just Leo, as I've told, and I am a Lava mage. Transmutation and the like yadda yadda. My surname should say more about me than anything I can tell myself. How about you two start by giving me your name and what kinda magic you deal with before I start getting bombarded by questions."

First Impressions
Rammus, being the polite young teen he was, made sure to say Hi to the other new recruit who was part of the same exam as Rammus was. “Hallo Jevi! Yeah, I’m excited for us to work together as Magic Knights.” He had a bit of a big dumb grin on his face, but managed to tone it down to only a regular amount of young teen excitement. This boy was his senior after all, and he did not want to look desperate. Though it was someone he’d known for a few years now having met him a handful of times in his travels outside of the exam itself. Not overly well, but Rammus cherished the times he had with everyone even if it was only for a few weeks at a time as he was in the area.
“Nice to meet’chya Leo,” He responded to the young, yet still senior, knight's opinion on honorifics and followed his lead. He knew better than to talk casually to nobles and he had no idea if he even was one (Jevi was, but a different situation for Rammus there), but maybe things were different now that he was a magic knight. Or maybe Leo was just a cool guy. He definitely seemed like it, the way he casually dispelled his seat as he stood up in a cool guy sort of way. He then just… stared at them. He was used to being stared at on stage, but this felt awkward, so he pulled up one sleeve to reveal his tattooed fingers and anxiously played one of his bottom spikes.
Leo then spoke up about Rammus’ get up. “Thank you- Oh.” The whiplash got him, and he stared down at his get-up, “Well, I’m… I was an acrobat by trade so… A habit I need to fix, I guess.” He wiggled his toes in the grass, feeling every blade on him. “I just cannot imagine myself covering up.” It was hard to explain, but he felt like he was able to be more aware of his surroundings without shoes. He was no superhuman when it came to his senses, but he was used to feeling the minute changes that one missed with shoes or sandals even. At least Leo seemed to like his hair.
He then gave Jevi his own once over, but Rammus was giving himself one after the fact to try and pin-point what areas he could improve on. He disagreed about the armor, and wanted to prioritize his flexibility which he considered to be a secret boon in a fight. “Training up my mana skin will be important then.” He mumbled to himself, another place he would need to focus on improving. He looked forward to the progress he’d make.
Now came the actual reason for their meeting, Leo, or more specifically Leonard Vermillion. He was right that his name said more about him, it made Rammus desire to impress just that much more. He cleared his throat “Rammus Trigon’s the name, former member of the Clover Wandering Circus!” He struck a pose with his exposed hand raised to the sky and the other tucked neatly behind him to make him look even taller than he already was, chin held high. “But still, and always, a showman.” He then brought his other arm back around, a trail of barely smoldering ash flowing out of his sleeve and carrying with it his half-burnt looking grimoire which he held in a hidden compartment in his sleeve. “I use ash magic, nothing fancy but I promise you it will prove very effective. I don’t really have much of a specialty… I hurt and hinder. I am very interested in learning how to set traps though! I started studying the methods a few days ago, but it’s not really sticking…”
The ashen mage caught himself, realizing he was both rambling and showing off when he did not really have anything to show. “Sorry, you go Jevi. I don’t mean to steal any spotlight, I guess I have a bunch of bad habits.” He rubbed the back of his neck and laughed awkwardly.
Jevi was glad to see his friend Rammus again, knowing they had both joined the Crimson Lion squad after taking the same exam. He had ran into the boy a couple of times during the years he had wandered the kingdom to learn about the people and everything else Clover had to offer. It was Jevi’s way to break free from the expectations of his father and to begin forging his own path into the future that was yet to be determined. What were his plans? Jevi wasn’t sure yet, all he knew was that at this moment in time he just wanted to grow stronger in order to be a proper Magic Knight who could defend the civilians of Clover. “Same here.” Jevi shot Rammus a smile before listening to Leo who wanted them to drop the honorifics. The man just wanted to be called Leo, and Jevi simply nodded in acceptance. He was polite, sure, but that also meant following along with someone’s wishes.
[break][break]
The elf’s eyes remained on Leo’s form as the man got up and made the throne of lava disappear with a simple wave of his hand. He followed it up by circling the two of them, inspecting them in silence and Jevi simply took a relaxed stance and waited for Leo to be done with whatever he tried to see from them. He was in no rush, and if this was a process Leo wanted to go through then he had no issues in waiting till his fellow Crimson Lion was ready to continue their training. Leo eventually spoke up, talking about what he saw in Rammus first as he mentioned a couple things about his outfit being impractical; specifically being bare foot. It made sense, and while Rammus could work on his mana skin more it would still be a good idea to have your feet protected. Not that Jevi would comment on it, only agreeing with the observation in his mind. At least Rammus didn’t seem discouraged, and that’s what mattered most to the elf.
[break][break]
Then it was obviously his own turn, and it wasn’t surprising to Jevi to be called the “special boy”. In a way he was, yet he tried not to rely on that or make it his identity. If others wished to see him that way, just like how his father saw him, then that was on them. He would not fall into it himself and merely focus on improving himself as he was quite aware that he was still lacking in strength due to having to learn everything on his own so far. His father had hit a wall in training him, and with Jevi’s stubbornness he had also been unwilling to be taught by the man any longer. From there he had to find out things on his own, though now that he was part of the Crimson Lion squad that would change. He had other people here like Leo and Rammus who could help him push beyond his limits.
[break][break]
So Jevi didn’t comment on being called special, merely listening to Leo as he recalled his own grimoire to his holster and continued to speak. Leo mentioned the four leaves, and in order to confirm this Jevi nodded to let Leo know that he was correct. However, he did not remove the grimoire from his own holster, since Leo wasn’t done speaking. It was quite amusing to hear Leo’s warning about making sure to not let it get to his head, earning a chuckle from the elf. “To me the four leaves only signifies potential. A potential that will be wasted if I myself don’t put in the blood, sweat and tears. You don’t have to worry about me letting the attention get to my head. There’s a reason I keep it in my holster and don’t flaunt it.” He patted the holster with his hand, giving Leo a smile. “You also don’t have to pity me. I believe I put more pressure on myself than anyone else ever could, because drawing out that potential is my main goal as of now. That’s why I joined the Magic Knights, since I can’t do it alone.” There was nothing but sincerity in the young elf’s voice, nor was he trying to hide any of his intentions or motives. This is who he was, and this is who they were going to have to deal with.
[break][break]
With their initial impression out of the way, Leo opened today’s training session by explaining he was there for them if they had any questions regarding the squad or rules. Obviously he was also willing to guide them through a training which included sparring if they so wished. Leo gave a more formal introduction of himself, but again made it clear he just wanted to be called Leo by them. Jevi enjoyed the fact that the man didn’t feel the need to put his title into everything he did. That was very much how Jevi saw his own lineage too. He might be a noble, but that didn’t automatically make him better than anyone else. The floor was then opened for himself and Rammus to properly introduce themselves as well, including showing Leo what kind of magic they were working with.
[break][break]
Rammus took the initiative, and while Jevi knew most of the things Rammus mentioned about himself he still awaited his turn while giving his fellow new recruit all of his attention. The pose was a nice thing to see as it made Rammus look proud and confident about his heritage. He even joked about being a showman at heart, which was definitely true. His magic had to do with the element of ash, which Rammus used to hurt and hinder. He had interest in learning about setting traps, which was an interesting idea for sure. When Rammus apologized for stealing the spotlight, Jevi chuckled and waved his hand to his friend “No need to apologize, I have no issue with awaiting my turn.” He turned to Leo after that, speaking to their guide. “I’m Jevi Suru, the only son of the house of Suru. I broke contact with my family a couple years ago, though, and began to wander the Clover Kingdom to experience life to the fullest before I decided that in order to get stronger and protect the kingdom I’d have to join up with the Magic Knight. That’s what brought me here.” That was the short version of it, and should cover his story pretty decently.
[break][break]
Then there was the matter of his magic, which was probably the more important thing to learn about for Leo at this moment. “As for my magic-“ Jevi moved his right hand up diagonally towards his own left, pointing out his index finger outwards. He then brought the hand down to his right as if performing a slash with it which created a rune in front of himself which was clearly made out of snow. When Jevi grabbed the rune with his right hand the rune changed shape into a silver cutlass that was roughly 28 inches in length with some chips and scratches down the blade. The hilt was black lacquered with a clear guard to protect his hand. Snowy wisps ran across the blade as Jevi held it out in front of him for Leo to see it clearly. “I can create various swords, all covered with icy snow. I’m able to use these swords normally or focus on using the ice and snow in other ways instead. I do believe I have the capability of learning to use more elements, but it’s something that will require more practice and someone to teach me more in depth I imagine.” Jevi lowered the cutlass to his side, keeping it ready in case Leo wanted them to spar with each other. The explanation itself was all Jevi knew about his magic at this current point in time, so there was nothing else to say about it.

The blade itself has snowy wisps coming from it showing its element. The sword can deal physical damage at junior rank although it will have magical backing that allows for it to give those struck minor frostbite if a person, they may also decide to give the sword over to another person, the sword may also be thrown as a projectile with a new one forming the following round.
[attr="class","silasreescroll"] Alright then, the two seemed to be eager to share things about themselves. Most insightful, really. The Vermillion brought a hand to his chin as he started to stare at his open toed boots. He fixated on the ground for a few more moments before speaking up. "So, Ash magic and a pechant for traps. Now, that's something I don't hear every day. Trap magic is certainly something more on the non standard side of things. Ash itself is quite a complex element. It could be used as a catalyst to aid people with plant based magic or you could probably apply in a trap way in a similar way to smoke. It can obscure vision, impair breathing amongst other things. It's not inherently lethal on its own, but it can be when paired with something else. You know, you might be on the right track with how you want to specialize in. If you ever need some pointers in transmutation let me know. Before my uhh...more recent exploits I used to dabble in area denial myself." [break][break] Then, the other guy pulled out a sword out of thin air. There it was, the main event. Not to rain on Ranmus parade, of course, the guy was a blast to be around with he could feel it. It was probably just a natural reaction for a noble to be interested in unique forms of magics.
[break][break] "Swordmancy. Definitely something you don't see every day. Can't really help much there, I'm afraid outside of physical training and a little bit of honest swordfight practice I can't really be of much use to you. Not to mention..." With a flicker of his wrist, Leonard ignited the air into a shining display of brilliance, before pulling out his own weapon. Given the elaborate look as he brandished it around for a moment before having it disappear back into nothing, it was clear this was no simple everyday weapon. "I'm more of a bow guy, truth be told. Well, that is unless I'm close enough to throw a couple punches around. See, the thing about Lava magic is that while very potent it is very slow. Limited range is kind of a problem in a fight against speedy people."
[break][break] Was he purposely omitting his other side of him? Yes, yes he was. Then again, you never reveal your whole hand. "Tell me, can you move your swords around telepathically, or do you have to actually wield them? No offense, but you don't seem to be the brawny type. Appereances could be misleading though. Half of me wants to see how you fight with that thing, but the other side of me is telling my head that if I don't give you the rundown of the estate and the training place the Captain is going to have me run laps around the place."

A Focus
Rammus’ Ash continued to circle his body, carrying his grimoire with it as he listened to Leo give his perspective on what the young mage had said. He seemed intrigued with the possibilities of Ash magic, bringing up things that Rammus had not even begun to think of. ‘Hurt and Hinder’ was as far as his thought process went. The way Leo put that into practical use was something he tried to absorb, as short as the blurb was. His language was focused, and mostly foreign terms to Rammus. He understood them, such as transmutation and area denial, but had never heard them used before in this context, another facet to absorb. “I don’t imagine I’ll have much use for transmutation, but time will tell and if I do I will definitely have questions. Thank you, though. What you’ve said to me today will not be in vain, and I aim to take it all to heart in service to the Crimson Lions.”
Rammus then stepped back to give Jevi some room, he was vaguely familiar with his older friend's brand of magic but had never actually seen it in action before. Making swords was a cool ability, but it was the other aspect that Rammus just learned that had him fascinated. He would use other elements, seemingly in conjunction with his swords. Rammus would be more than willing to work with Jevi to help him learn Ash magic down the road, once he became better at wielding it himself.
When Jevi was done and Leo was done with Jevi, he also added, “What uh, what recent exploits would lead to such a shift in strategy? I’ve actually been working on a new spell in preparation for my time here, a large whirlwind area of ash, so any useful experience there would help in making it even more effective. I was going to use the time after our meeting to work on it.” Rammus’ spells were simple and effective, but missing a core. ‘Hurt and Hinder’ was too broad, and he needed to focus. A strong central spell methodology that would allow him to expand outwards, and this was his idea for one. He would take any opportunity he had to improve this core.
His ash and grimoire continued to spiral around his cloaked person, small glowing embers still scattered throughout. In his mind, if he could just expand the area around himself then he could create, as Leo would say, a huge area of denial. One that would blind those inside, and those looking from outside, while slowing down any who approach. Any damage it would cause would be incidental, but just as important. He couldn’t defeat anyone without actually hurting them. Now that he thought about it though, maybe ‘hurt and hinder’ was focused enough. Rammus just needed to make it work.
Leo was clearly interested in Rammus and Jevi as the new recruits of the Crimson Lion squad. He assessed them both with practiced eye, and even went into tips on how to use their magic. Of course, that was all his own opinion, but it was clear that Leo was far more experienced than both Rammus and Jevi. First was Rammus and his Ash magic, something that Jevi found intriguing to say the least. Leo had a lot of ideas on how Rammus could expand on his magic, namely through transmutation. Rammus’ focus on hurt and hinder made sense, as that was what Ash could be properly used for, but Jevi could see Leo’s point of view in expanding that even further. The more versatile one could be, the more useful one could be. That’s why Jevi wanted to see if he could learn to utilize more elements than just ice, because if he could manage that then his swords would become useful in far more situations.
[break][break]
Once Rammus had received his look over, Jevi was next and as expected sword magic wasn’t a common sight. Jevi was well-aware of this, and had in fact never met anyone who had a similar magic to him. The unknown aspects also meant Leo felt like he couldn’t help much beyond physical training and standard sword fighting practice. Leo even showed one of his own tricks, revealing a beautiful bow that was his weapon. He told Rammus and Jevi about how range and speed was the limiting factor of Lava magic, which made sense. Lava in nature also moved slow from what Jevi knew, so the elf nodded in understanding. “Like I said, I believe I can learn to enhance my sword with different elements so long as I am taught to do so. Perhaps you can even help me learn about Lava magic in the future, and maybe Rammus could teach me about his Ash magic. Of course, only if you are willing.” Jevi knew some wizards were sensitive about their magic and didn’t want to give out their secrets, and he wasn’t one to push for it either.

Of course, there were some questions Leo had regarding his magic, like if he could move his swords telepathically. Apparently, Jevi didn’t look like he was the brawny type which made the elf chuckle. “Sadly, I can’t control them telepathically, so I do end up fighting up and close. I have a few tricks with snow and ice to account for some range, though. The swords do have magic to back up my strength, so it doesn’t just rely on my own physical strength. Then again, I do work hard to improve on that aspect as well.” While he was certainly not the large, burly type, he did have the body of a nimble swordsman which was to say lean and fit. To Jevi, his speed and agility was far more important than raw strength, especially when he could back up his strikes with magic. “We could always train later, right? I for one would enjoy a rundown of the headquarters.” It was hard enough to be moving into a new place, let alone one as big as this one. Having Leo show them the ropes would be more than helpful. Of course, he’d wait patiently for Leo to handle Rammus’ question first.

Jevi talks about his magic more before telling Leo he’d be happy to have a rundown of the headquarters.
[attr="class","silasreescroll"] Okay so, the introductions were done and everything was accounted for. He could say this was a job well done. As requested, they should leave training for later and focus on a tour of headquarters. He should definitely let them now where to go and where not to go. "Alright then, if you are all good to go and there is no other question for the moment, I'd like you two to follow me around for a little bit more. It'll be my pleasure to show you both to our main base of operation. It is likely that you will be hanging around here for the first few weeks for training and conditioning. After that, you can consider yourself lucky if you get to go on patrol around these parts or remain on station." [break][break] With that, Leo's hand parted from his hip as he made a sidestep to the right to show them in towards the main entrace with a smile on his face. He was curious to see if these two could actually make the cut.Only time would tell. Only time... would tell. [break][break]
The introductions were well and over with, and now it was time for the tour of the grounds by Leo. The man had been gracious and welcoming, and Jevi felt great about his choice of squad and of becoming a Magic Knight in general. He did not need to become the greatest of all time, preferring to stay in the back and not stand out. That way he wouldn’t give his father what he had wanted all along, while still being able to help the people of Clover to the best of his abilities. Perhaps he could even learn more about his magic just for the fun of it. In either case, Jevi was happy to be here and listened to Leo right before they were going on the tour. This is where they were going to spend most of their time in the upcoming weeks for training and conditioning. It would only be after that that they’d be able to go out on patrol. “I suppose that’s fair.” Jevi had figured field work would be far more important than simple training, but if this was how the Crimson Lions handled things then he’d simply have to oblige. He could be patient. And so, Jevi followed Leo’s lead as he was shown around the headquarters together with Rammus. This was the beginning of his journey as a Magic Knight, and whatever was in store for him was left to be seen.
