[break] A lot of terrible things had happened over the last few years within each of the regions, the Royal Capital had been attacked by the former Wizard King Nero who had taken a daemon into himself to protect the kingdom. Raque had been attacked by the daemoness Serena. Kikka had been not only attacked but taken over for several months by the daemon Sven. Lilith had been controlling the Witch's Forest and Asmodeus was attempting the shattering yet again within the forsaken region. All in all the kingdom had suffered a great deal and there was now a clear rift between the general populace and the magic knights. [break][break] Every squad was thinking of ways to help repair and heal not only the faith within them as protectors but also help undo some of the damage that caused many to struggle even now. The Silver Eagles were no different and so the members of the squad were given the task by their captain Nicodemus Silva to come up with some sort of event that could help in this endeavour and so the squad thought to do a charity event in a way that only their squad could... Over the top and lavish. Of course, it didn't matter if you were a commoner or a noble you would be permitted entry, however, nobles were expected to pay to show they were supporting the kingdom's renewal in a way only they could. [break] It had taken quite a while to get enough earth and mist mages with the right skill set together but where there's financial incentive there's a way. High above the Town of Silva was a four-tiered festival ground made of white marble and mist to make it look as if those attending were indeed denizens of the sky looking down upon those below. Each of the four tiers were linked by rainbow bridges that had transportation waiting for people wanting to move up and down the tiers. To get to the charity grounds many modes of transportation could be acquired with their own 'driver' at the Silver Eagle's headquarters. These were things such as gondolas, carriages, chariots, dragons, horses, unicorns and for those who wanted to fly to the area wings could even be used with the mage who created them accompanying a group so they didn't get lost. [break][break] The lowest tier has a circus and fairgrounds. There are many rides for all ages, carnival games for people to play and win prizes and get fairground foods and sweets, face painting, puppet shows and the likes. [break][break] On the second tier, there were things for you to test your strength, watch exhibition matches or even take part in them against magic knights. There were also shops and stalls for all kinds of goods created by both commoners and nobles. The nobles even agreeing most if not all they made during this time would be given towards those most in need. [break][break] On the third tier, there were things like a library where many authors had convened to sign books and take questions about themselves, their works and what they had planned for the future. There was an art gallery where many artists agreed to hold lessons for those who wanted to try their hand at the craft. There were chocolatiers and candy makers to show kids how to make their sweets, chocolate and drinks with what they had access to even if they had next to nothing to work with. [break][break] On the highest tier, there were things like a music hall, an opera house, a theatre, an auction house, a banquet hall, a ballroom and even a place set aside for the evening where people could stargaze.

Morning was young and so was a early adult of a male sitting up from his bed once the flood of sunlight came into his once dark bedroom of the servants coming in to wake him. It was the same routine day in and day out. He got up, He bathed. He listened to the paper and the schedule that was required of him for the day. However today was different. His schedule was completely opened for the day. He had a over the top charity event. [break][break] The past few years have taken a toll on the kingdom from all the various demons and their childern running free. Destroying their kingdom. He was kind of surprised there was not more chaos and hatred from the citizens. He honestly wouldn't blame anyone. The magic knights did not handle the daemon well enough and well now there were dealing with the consequences. He sighed adjusting his jacket over his figure buttoning it up before heading out the door to a carriage awaiting him. He ate a boxed meal his chefs had created for him for breakfast. He was more then willing to wait and eat what was at this charity event. [break][break] The captain would have went all out, getting the best of the best chefs, musicians, performers. It was all over the top but it was for the kingdom and charity. Sometimes he was amazed with how much wealth one person has at their command. He looked out the window watching the window around him as he ate his breakfast on the carriage ride over to the event in the home town of Silva. Above the HQ of the mighty silver eagles. [break][break] -------- [break][break] Arriving at the base he stepped out of his own carriage, stretching as he hated how cramped the ride over often was. He thanked the driver as he moved towards where all the modes of transportations were from carriages to chariots to even the more mystical constructs. He went for a more free form of wings with the individual wings as he was tried of sitting in tight places. He thanked the fellow silver eagle as he lifted off the ground heading with a group of citizens to enjoy himself on the first tier of this event. He already sent his contribution amounts for this event as a noble. Now was the time to enjoy the festivities the captain and the squad worked hard to place together. [break][break]
To say that this was exactly the kind of thing he envisioned when he thought about an event hosted entirely by the Silver Eagles would have been right on the nose. The sheer level of extravagance was through the roof, and that was saying something. Last time he had been to an event hosted in part by the Golden Dawn and Silver Eagles, he hadn’t been all that overwhelmed by the whole thing. In fact, it had left him rather… whelmed. Though it was his first time, Gawain learned early on in the day that a Ball was not his cup of tea, nor would it likely ever become his sort of thing any time soon. The food however had been exquisite. Not that he’d know as he was far from a gourmet chef and didn’t exactly have a background with culinary food outside of whatever scraps could be spared for him on the islands.
But if nothing else, his time with the Silver Eagles had opened him up to the possibilities the land of Clover presented to those who had the power, the strength of will and the overall determination to truly make something out of themselves. While some within the country were so rich that one family could have about as much money as the entire forsaken realm, with the exception of the truly obscenely rich who had enough to also include the common realm into that equation, there were also a lot of smaller families and individuals that just had a lot of money. People who were working with what they had been given and then continued to add to it. This did not always happen in the best of ways, nor did it always happen in the most legal or moral of ways, but it happened. And honestly, Gawain respected that in a way.
Personally, money was not something he cared a whole lot about as it did not make a whole lot of impact as to the way in which he lived. Spending the majority of his time either on the plot of land that had been left to him by Griswold’s departure or within the confines of the Silver Eagles headquarters, he always threw himself at tough training regiments, missions or magic dungeons so as to further his own reputation as well as that of the squad. To him, it was important that the people in the country knew that a squad as big and well-funded as the Silver Eagles was not just catering to the nobles, but was there to help everyone that needed it. It was why to him, the Star festival was a particularly big deal, a huge deal even, as it would show the entire country just how hard the squad had been working when compared to the other squads.
Today would serve as a proper distraction from his quest at making his squad look like one of the best, if not the best. Arriving at the scene by taking a flying gondola, he had set back for a bit and just looked up, watching the location for the festivities getting closer and closer. The rainbow bridges connecting the various marble blocks, the way the sunlight danced on the surface of the mist, it all seemed incredibly fantastical and outlandish at the same time. It was as if some sort of odd floating castle had leaped out of a childrens’ story book and into reality. For someone his age however, that was perfect. In spite of all of the things he had already seen and done at his young age, he still had a mind that was open to the fantastical and the miraculous. So when he sat foot on the initial tier and had a look around, he knew that he wanted to get to where the food was first, and then see what kind of fun rides there were to be enjoyed over here.

The town of Silva was another section of the Clover Kingdom Kingsley had yet to visit. His duties as a Junior Knight revolved primarily around the castle town of Kikka, seen as the lynchpin of protecting the Capital from intruding criminals, daemon or otherwise, and the Forsaken Regions of Clover, where monstrous Mana Beasts needed to be put down before they could flourish into ancient horrors terrorizing the countryside. By contrast, Silva was a twin city of the capital, lesser in size, but extravagant and crucial to the Kingdom's economy all the same.
Kingsley's invitation arrived by bird, an irritable little thing with feathers of black and red. It awoke him on his day off by incessantly pecking on the glass windows of Kikka's castle, where the Purple Orca Squad resided. Reading the curling script of the parchment, Kingsley was skeptical until he saw a post script, hastily scrawled by his new friend, Gawain. Though the Silver Eagles had a reputation for being haughty nepotists, Gawain was a remarkable exception. His magical skills made him a perfect fit for the all-noble (or nearly all) Magic Knight squad, but his sardonic sense of humor, and willingness to help others, put him a good measure above his squad mates when it came to quality of character.
Kingsley decided the festival would be a good enough use of his free time, and a great opportunity to meet other Magic Knights. The idea of forming a team still lingered in the corners of his mind, and a small kindling of hope still burned in his heart that he could find like-minded fellows on relative power levels. Some of the other Purple Orcas were going as well, and secured a spatial mage's help in crossing the distance to Silva town. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Kingsley ran down the steps of the castle, shouting out to his fellows so as not to lose out on the free ride. The space mage noticed his approach, and maintained the portal a bit longer, giving the brunet the chance to leap through after his fellows.
On the other side of the portal, Kingsley found himself on a patch of soft grass in the center of Silva. "Well, I guess it really is greener on the other side." Brushing off the accumulated dirt from his slacks, Kingsley turned his attention upwards, examining the artificial fair grounds created by the Silver Eagles and their hired artisans. Thankfully the opulent floating palisades were not unreachable, as the stables of Silva had generously provided several Mana Beasts capable of flight. One such creature caught Kingsley's eye, a winged horse with a coat of pure white. Saddling up, he squeezed his legs against the creature's frame, signaling to the majestic creature that he was ready. Nickering in agreement, the winged horse began to run down the short road the Magic Knights had closed off to act as an impromptu runway.
As the beast picked up speed, Kingsley watched its wings spread to their full length beneath him, lifting the pair off the ground with a single FLUMPH. It was a short ascent to the lowest pavilion of the fairgrounds, where an attendant awaited, ready to take the beast back down to the stable once Kingsley dismounted. The white stone of the multitiered pavilion made clicking sounds as Kingsley's heels came down, each step announcing his approach in a rhythmic pattern. As he reached the first of the rainbow bridges that crisscrossed the floating structures, he saw a familiar figure with ashen hair, facing away from him towards the upper levels. "Hey stranger! Been a while, hasn't it?"
