The first stage of the magic knight exam was now over, everyone had, had the chance to show off in their own solo performances what their magic could do and so what they could personally offer to the squads. Now it was on to the second act. As the first captain, person, thinger had stated at the opening ceremony stage two was the candidates being broken into groups of three to four mages. He, himself, believed they would all have around the same experience in this kind of thing because it would be silly to be sending newbies out on a mission that could end their lives because they went out with someone who had a ton of experience. As far as he understood it these missions were the kind of jobs magic knights would do which was all fine and dandy in his mind, the problem was, he still had not one clue what a magic knight was and no one would give him any information on it. To say he was getting a little frustrated would have been an understatement but he tried to keep composure and for the most part, he was actually doing a good job of it for a change. The issue for him now was how would he know who he was teamed with and what they were doing? He was blind so wouldn't be able to read it anything.
As luck would have it, his name was called with three others and so he wandered over to the one who called the names a smile on his face "Are you the one going to be telling us what we're doing?" he inquired almost giddy that it was this easy to get information on something for a change, everything else had been like pulling teeth and they weren't giving.
"Yes, that's right." the man said waiting for everyone else to turn up before explaining the mission. "I'm going to be sending the four of you to the castle town of Kikka..." he added in the additional fact of it being a castle town for Advent's sake as he seemed to have asked such innocent questions in the past "There's a family in the town that have lost their beloved dog when they went to the forest outside the town, they have no idea where she has wandered to and they are worried about her as you would expect." he said his monotone almost sending Advent to sleep
Advent groaned a little, it wasn't because of the task, he didn't mind that in the slightest it was more the fact that the owners were idiots in his mind. Advent then went to open his mouth as to say something but quickly closed it as if he had just been told off. "Can they give any information on her or what we can expect in there?" he asked trying to think of ways to make it a bit easier for them in the long run.
"The dog is around two years old, pure white with black sock and ears, one blue eye and one green eye, she has a baby pink collar with a gold name tag on and answers to the name Shelby. As for hazards, there have been recent sightings of mana beasts; for those of you who don't know what these things are, think giant bear. Any more questions? If not please go through the portal, it will take you to the last known sighting of Shelby." he said creating a portal.
Advent shook his head and walked to it poking at it with childish curiosity as if trying to find out what would happen if he did certain things but was paying attention if anyone else decided they would be asking anything. When everyone was happy he would jump through with a 'Weeeeeee' noise and landing on his feet on the other side.
When on the other side he let his senses take over as he used his sensory to the best of his ability to try and find the dog, if not the enemy. "Hay, what magics do you people use and umm... what is that other question that's important..." he said tapping the centre of his forehead "Oh yeah where do specialise? I use mist magic and I can heal and am really good a sensory!" he said happily as if he had proclaimed something important to the others.
"Oh yeah... what's a magic knight and what's a squad?" he finally asked no realising he forgot to ask the guy that actually sent them there. For the moment he was sensing quite a bit but it was all meshed and mangled meaning they were not in immediate danger at least for the moment. He knew that could easily change at any moment so was on guard.
"I won't actually be any use when it comes to attacking but I do have a spell for healing and it can heal multiple people at once too!" he was so happy that he could at least do something that would help "I have a spell that makes a giant cloud of foggy mist that can help us go unseen so longs no one has really good sensory abilities I guess and I have a spell that can help me eavesdrop on things." he had no idea how useful the other two spells of his would-be but at least the first one could help if anyone got injured.
He waited for the others to give their information his head moving this way and that as he tried to get a general direction to go in, the one thing he did note was this forest was eerily quiet. That wasn't natural for a forest, there should be chirping of birds and rustling of leaves but everything here was still, it put the white-haired youth on high alert, he really didn't like this and it showed on his face. "Something really isn't right in this forest." he hoped he was just being paranoid but something told him that he wasn't, perhaps things would liven up after they got the dog and taken out a threat within the forest but who knew this could be normal for this forest.

She made it, she had actually managed to make it to the magic knight exams without having a panic attack, and now she was going to be given a real mission, a rite of passage?! Her family would be oh so proud of her, Willow thought about her mother and father, the man beaming with pride and bragging about it. Her older sister would likely be trying to help with some sort of new magic tool to aid Willow in blending into the normal populace of everything of whatever squad she joined. The pink-haired girl's twin sisters mischief-laden faces as they tried to tease her, poking, prodding, attempting to get any sort of rising out of her. Willow's mind just started to roller coaster its way off into thoughts of inadequacy, the fear and her anxiety setting in, the poor agoraphobe having her heart starting to race while the heat built up in her face. All while everything was being explained to them, she just had this visage upon herself, it screamed that she was introspecting right now. Her hearing had turned to a fine whine of muffled noises, unable to focus on anything but her thoughts, she went down that rabbit hole, the poor Alice.
When she was snapped back to reality, there was talk of portals, something the Vaude Family was known for helping to make. There were not many members of the house out and about within The Clover Kingdom, but for those that were, they were more than a great asset for fast travel situations. Perhaps that was precisely why they were such a noble family, they monopolized on the magic element that makes the world go round: getting from point A to point B faster so you have more time to do whatever you wanted, no?
As she and the team made their way through the portal and to the edge of the forest, Willow was the second one through, stumbling around and clutching on to her thighs and knees for support as she hunched over, posing like she was about to be sick while Advent asked them a few questions, namely about their magics and their specialties. As well as what a magic knight even was? Wait, how did he even get into this without knowing that crucial information?!
"I! I am Willow. Th-that is, to say that, I, I am Willow Omens! I, came to hopefully join a ma-magic knight squad. And work on my anxiety, and, please don't get mad with me if I freak out a little. I'm used to my hometown! I don't get out much!" She belted out fast while taking out her grimoire, showing it off. It was a brown leather-bound book. The pages had a wafting aroma of mustiness, "I, use plain water magic. A-And I'm good at mapping things out or throwing simple attacks." She said, trying to not divulge too much, especially with Advent declaring there may not be something completely right here, were their mana beasts?! Oh and here she was without her sketchbook.
WC: 512 This post was supposed to be on my willow account but i had a little mix up, sorry!

First mission of the Magic Knight exam is a doozy as much of it seems to be centered around a specific request. Alex is no stranger to this sort of thing as he did a lot of it when he was a young lad. It was the first step towards becoming the aforementioned Magic Knight; one more step before he can see what sort of world he is going to get into. Is it going to be filled with all sorts of danger? Is there going to sights that he has never seen before? What kind of people are in this profession aside from the ones he has already met? All of it is an endless sky before him as he simply looked at this first mission. Contents of set mission were simple as it only found a pet but the issue came with the setting.
A forest is both a beautiful place and a place full of dangers. Many a tale that a stray kid would get mauled for being out and running into a beast. Much of the stories were made in turn to keep kids at home to help with various tasks but the braver ones broke even. It's either they got eaten or they survived another day. Alex was the latter as he walked alongside the group he was assigned to. After the various sparring sessions and showing off their magic, this was going to be their actual test. Nothing too grand but it is exciting for someone of his skill level. ‘Cool...though the test seems a bit more bland on paper than actually learning about it’, he thought to himself as he was briefed on the mission at hand.
He made his mental notes and checked his book if anything else was wrong before taking a quick break. Sparring has made him hungry in the meantime and he has some spare time on his hand as he walks towards the group he was assigned to. He finished his meal before hearing talk of portals. It went over his head as he doesn't know much about the world aside from the war and magic deals.
But his attention snapped back to present as they were taken through a portal and found themselves in the middle of a forest.’What in the hell?!”he thought as he knew his surroundings went from a fancy garden to a castle to a fog filled forest. He had no clue such magic existed and he assumed that he was going to be walking to set location. But nope he walked through a portal and suddenly they're just in the middle of a new area. He kept his expression stifled as he looked around and saw the group next to him were unphased. Taking a moment to breathe and gather his composure, he kept his eyes on the mission at hand.
The others began to introduce themselves and he takes his time to gather his bearings as he looked at the others when it was his time to speak. “Names Alexander Valentine and my reason to be here is mostly because I was promised a life of adventure. My magic from what I understand is using lightning magic to give myself an edge in a fight. Plain at first but I mostly use it for beating down the baddie if I see em…”, he said as he looked at the group before his eyes scan their surroundings. Something seems wrong with the place they're in and he has nop clue on what a mana beast is. Another member of the group noticed the same deal and he even commented on it. “You feel it too? I feel like something is already watching us”, he remarks as lightning begins to crackle around his fists. Something is coming and he knows its gonna be bad the moment they show up.

The first stage of the Magic Knight's Exam was simple enough has it was a simple show of skill and of magical prowess. Once it was over, the examiners put the potential Knights into groups in order to complete a mission, most likely to see how the examines can handle the kind of missions Magic Knight may be given. Upon finding out what team he would be in, Andras couldn't help but analyse his teammates which includes a head haired girl about as tall as he is, a tall red haired boy who looks like he could be a tough fighter and, to Andras' surprise, a blind white haired boy which peeked his curiosity as he seemed to move with ease.
The team was given the task of finding a lost pet, a simple task if it were not for the fact that the aforementioned pet, a white and black dog with heterochromia, hadn't wondered into the forest and mana beasts have been seen within. As the team made its way to the forest, they each took turns introducing themselves, the blind boy confirming Andras' suspicions of some high level sensory skills. After the one who identified himself as Alexander, Andras spoke up. "My name is Andras. My magic is mostly attack magic though i do have one spell that can affect someone's mana recovery but i don't know how useful it will be against the mana beasts." He said before he starts rambling. "If it come to the fight, Alexander and i could focus on attacking, Willow on support attacks and Blindboy can support with some healing. Other than combat the ones that would be most helpful would be Willow, who can map out the area and make sure we don't get lost and Blindy can warn us of any beasts nearby or even keep an ear out for the target." Andras continued to ramble for a while about strategy, his voice lowering to a mumble as he starts to think out loud of all the possible scenarios that could occur. His rambling was halted by the realisation that the white haired boy asking what a Magic Knight is, to which Andras raised an eyebrow and waited for someone to answer but no one did. "To answer your question Blindy. A Magic Knight is tasked with protecting the citizens of the Clover Kingdom. They are often given missions and requests by the people and the kingdom and each squad specialises in different types of missions but at the end of the day, they are meant to serve and protect."
Andras stayed quiet for the rest of the trek to the forest until the white haired boy pointed out that he was getting a strange feeling from the forest and it seemed like Alexander was preparing for a fight has the lightning he had mentioned earlier started to crackle. Andras focused on his grimoire and open it up to cast a spell. "Bone Creation Magic: Sanguine Gladius" he mumbled as reaches into his grimoire and pulls out his sword. "We best stay on our guard" He adviced as the team continued to search for the dog.

As the others came through the portal he listened to them introduce themselves and what they could do, he waved to the only female of the group. She seemed to be super nervous, he couldn't really understand why but then he was comfortable in forests. "Still don't know what a magic knight is... so um... there's that..." he said sincerely to her his hand rubbing the back of his head as he grinned like an idiot.
"What squads are you guys hoping to get into?" With Willow bringing up about trying to get into a squad it reminded him of the guys that made the comments about none of the captains wanting him, he was still clueless as to why not but then he was clueless about a lot of things when it came to what the hell was going on at current.
"That thing we went through was interesting, got to wonder if it is a two-way thing or how are we going to get back..." He was completely off track as he got distracted in his own thoughts
"Matray! Pay attention, you idiot!"
"Hay! Don't call me an idiot!" he huffed crossing his arms obviously unhappy about something.
"Stop it, this is the first time he is having to work in a team, you berating him won't help him and we all know it. It'll distract him more."
Quickly he paid attention to Willow once more when she spoke of being raised in a small village "I was raised in a forest with all my parents." he said with a sad smile, he knew the truth of things but it didn't change how he thought of them, they had raised him after all. He helped her stand up as he was almost afraid that she would keel over in her current condition
"Until a few months before I got my grimoire, I only interacted with my parents. I didn't even leave the forest..." he said with a happy, innocently child-like smile "I was nervous and excited... I still am but there's so much to learn I don't think about the anxiety only everything that could be!" he tried to give her a pep talk but then that might have been a bit of a bad idea given he was socially stunted but he was at least try his best to help the other feel better in his own way.
Advent couldn't help blink as he heard another speaking their name and what they had been promised tilting his head a little in curiosity as surely the other could have gotten such a life without having to go through this stuff. Then again he guessed there were additional benefits for being one of these magic knight things, he guessed it was something only the future would tell. He wished he could have seen lightning magic working the erratic dance it did through the air was exciting to him from when his parents had described it to him, he had even been told, skilled users could affect the ground and on some rare occasions, the colour could be different from what was seen often in nature. He grinned leading forward towards Alexander it was clear he was excited as he almost bounced from foot to foot like a toddler needing the bathroom. When the lightning user spoke of feeling it too he straightened and became somewhat stoic and nodded.
He pinged the area with his sensory waiting to see if he could distinguish a bit more information this time around now he was becoming more accustomed to the area around him "Yeah. I can feel it, still a bit of a muddle but my best guess is there are five that feel of the same strength but there's at least one stronger. I still can't feel the dog at current, I'll keep trying though but I'm not used to this forest yet so you guys need to buy me some time." he said as he started to move towards a tree, no he didn't have anything to talk to trees or nature magic but he could climb the damn things and believed that might help with what he had planned.
With the agility and ease of a monkey or cat Advent had started to climb up the tree he had walked to but paid attention to the last person who was on their team but stopped for a moment and looked over his left shoulder as he was called blind boy, he didn't really care and so started back up the tree once more without saying a word. When at the height he wanted to be at, he started to walk along a branch with his hands in his pocket
"Guy, my name isn't blindy it's Advent as far as anyone here's concerned." this was completely out of his normal playful manner, it was serious and stoic as he raised his foot barely enough off the branch to be noticed and tapped his foot twice on the small gap of air before putting it down. The motion was so subtle that only the tapping of the foot might be picked up but as he was above them the chances were slim to none at that point.
He knew that this would start stimulating the mist particles in the air within a decent range before almost making a dome, this meant that everything in this range was covered in a very faint mist. This gave him the ability to hear what was coming and from what direction, he wasn't much of a combatant but he still had his own strengths 'Perhaps I coul-' he was caught off mid-thought as he turned his head. As Andras explained what a magic knight was and their purpose, he found it interesting... well he found what he paid attention to interesting as he started to hear some not so pleasant noises through his mist.
"Hay, there are three nearby... two north, north-east and one from the south and by the sounds of it they're hungry and ready for dinner." he called to those below him as he tracked the others.
Name of Spell: Hidden Secrets Elemental Type: Mist Rank & Spell Type: Junior | Information gathering | Sensory Range & Speed: 25 meters | 10 + (Sensory x4) meter AoE | 10 m/s Mana Cost: 10 | 5 Stats Effected: n/a Applicable Perks: Heightened Senses Description: Given Advent's attitude to things he would seem like the court's clown if he ever met the king, that doesn't mean that he is stupid... well not fully at least. As he was raised in a forest by dead people hunting and gathering what he needed to survive he has never needed to handle Yul and sees no value in it, he was however raised that information was a very important and valuable commodity to the right people. Advent is able to use this spell solely for himself. He activates this spell by raising his foot just a little off the ground and tapping it on the air twice, to most it will seem like he is tapping his foot on the ground but that isn't the case; by doing this he excites the particles of moisture in the air making an unnoticeable cloud of mist appear that can go up to 25 feet through unwarded cracks and other openings before it spreads to max allowed aoe range allowing him to gather information he wouldn't otherwise be able to get by listening in on the mist he has created.

Two more people joined them, it was Willow, Advent, and two other people who were named Alexander and Andras. They were all here for the same task, would it really be that difficult to find a puppy? Well, with limited mana, it would stand to reason they would need to focus each on a specialty, Willow would be getting a feel for the land with her water magic, the others would be dealing with combat and medical support. She felt this would be for the best, though kind of wished that she had brought her sketchbook along now, so she could take a moment to draw any mana beasts with her watercolors and coffee. She was a weird girl with weird coping mechanisms for her weird priorities.
Willow prepared herself mentally for everything. She was going through her mental preparation exercises. Breathing in deeply with her eyes closing, breathing out while opening them, breathing in as her eyes shut once again, only to exhale deeply as she looked back upon the world. It was during that time of one of her breaths in that Advent shouted, causing Willow to jump and flail, falling down into a bush. Twigs snapping whilst a number of leaves fluttered up into the air. Grumbling as the pink-haired one hoisted herself out of the shrubbery.
Why was he yelling? And what was the plan again? With the mention that there were beasts nearby, Willow sprung into action, grasping on to her grimoire while lifting two fingers off of the covers, she unfurled the book, the pages turning with haste. She declared in a straight language as a magical circle appeared near her feet, surrounding her as a foot came down firmly to the ground, a light trickle sound of drops falling into water echoed out as a light of shining blue water spread out in all directions from her location, a look of sternness splayed across her face. "Four seconds, give it four seconds." During that time her spell would spread out in forty meters in all directions.
As the watery aura that came up to ankles spread out in all directions, she got a feel for everything that was on the ground, each blade of grass, each wrinkle in the trunks of the bark outlines of trees, the feet of her comrades, the feet of any other little creature. Insects that were caught by it were not drowned but still flailed about like they had gotten into the water before making for high ground.
She would confirm to them, there were at least three within their immediate area, with two more a bit further away, and a much larger one that was on the very outskirts of her puddle. Whatever they were, they stomped, and growled, before the telltale sign of a bear bellowed out, that groaning roar as one of the big black bears came charging out of the clearing while trying to make its way for Andras. Another came out, trundling on two legs with its front legs lifted up and started to swipe with those menacing claws. The third started to scratch at a tree, cleaving through the bark to try and shove it over like a weapon!

The last one Alexander didn't notice before introduced himself as Andras. The group was together and he could feel that they were at least ready enough to get the mission underway. Though he can feel the tension around Willow as the forest was full of various dangers. Keeping one's wits about them is going to be crucial around this time as the mission at hand was more or less just finding the pet and not about hunting down a few creatures. They're here to become magic knights or something, not be hunters to take down a few wild animals.’So we have about four mages here and a good area to cover...quite the starting mission but nothing too bad. Only one can wonder who would lose their pet in a forest like this’, he thought to himself as he got a crick out of his neck.
Nonetheless, he is here to do his part and others share that same goal as much of them seem to have their wits about them. Though that can be left to Andras and Advent, Willow seems like she is going to faint at any time with how nervous she looks. The demeanor reminding him of his younger siblings whenever they get lost in the dark. Another part is that Andras decided to show off his magic and it was a sight to see for him since bone magic aint something one would normally see in his neck of the woods. A slight chuckle came from him as he recalled the memory as he glanced for a moment before getting back to observing the surrounding area.
Lightning began to crackle more and more as to sign him getting prepared for action as he took in the fresh air. The air was familiar yet new to him as each part of the kingdom always seemed to have a slightly different smell. This one can be said as more flowery but that could be the herbs in someones oils or something like that.
The question about squads came from Advent as they stood on guard and Alex had not much in terms of an answer aside from the one squad he actually knows.’Green Mantises….still don't know what they do but they caught me at the right time and made some big promises….and I get the feelings they are going to be fun from who I met at the hall’, he cracked his knuckles as he recalls the sparring match and the vice captain providing a small window of the kind of people he is going to meet on this little journey.
His body began to crackle and glow with lightning as he felt the power go through his limbs. A slight glow in his eyes as he mumbled under his breath. ‘Magic Enforcement: Lightning Road’, as the energy began to form around his legs. The feeling of power surging through his legs can be felt as he got ready. Something is coming but he has zero idea where they are coming from. Other members of the group did their own thing as Advent went up a nearby tree and Willow decided to let out her water tendrils and see what was around them. His facial expression as he saw them do that was a mixture of surprise and amusement as he saw them do their thing.’Seems like this land is always full of interesting characters’
He followed willows instructions and gave them four seconds as per said. In that gap, he can feel something coming vaguely until both Willow and Advent said that they were nearby. A smile grew on his face as he knew the fun part was coming as he took a ready stance. Soon three creatures were coming at them, one on a tree and the other two were coming for Willow and Andras.
On reflex and pure habit, he took a running start and ran straight for the bear that was aiming to swipe at them as he used his speed to charge into the beast and deliver a swift kick to their stomach. Following it up with a few lightning fast jabs as he knows these sorts of creatures do not go down in one hit unless they were real brittle. “Showtime!”
His same principle is to not kill what he is not going to eat and as a result, he makes it a focus to take down the creature without killing it. But first it had to endure the onslaught of hits he was unleashing on it as he kicked and punched the parts of the creature that were more vulnerable.
“ Bones, one of em seems to like ya...can ya do me a favor and knock em out”, he lightly joked as he fought his magical beast with nothing but his hands.

He attention was swiftly on guard as the boy known as Advent had warned the party of three hostiles on approach and having the nervous Willow confirming the warning and the direction the bears were approaching from. Before Andras spotted the bear charging at him, his attention darted from one of his team mates to the other. Starting with Advent, he though that the tree he had climbed might be the better option for him due to the lack of offensive magic. His attention then turned to Alexander as his quipped about Andras' element, which caused him smirk. It seemed to him that the the red haired boy was dealing with his bear decently well, which allowed Andras to focus on the bear currently charging towards him.
The world seemingly slowed down for the young spiky haired mage as his mind started running calculations, trying to estimate the trajectory of the bear as well as the possibility of surviving the charge. He quickly ran through three possible situations, taking into account the beast's speed at potential attack. As the world seemed to return to its regular pace, Andras saw confirmation of the first possibility he predicted as he saw the maw of the beast open wide. Waiting at the last possible instant, baiting the bear to attack, he dove to the charging beast's left side in order to avoid getting mauled by the teeth of his foe. It took him a few seconds longer to recover from the dodge and turned back to see the bear's focus was still on him. The big mass of fur, claws and teeth reared on its hind legs and prepared to give a highly telegraphed swipe at its prey. Due to the strike being well telegraphed by the beast, Andras manages to avoid the claws by a taking a step to the side. "Bone Creation Magic: Hanged-man's Flail" he spoke, summoning his weapon in his offhand and lunged at the beast, using the momentum to strike the bear in the ribs with his newly summoned weapon and leaving a blood mark on the bear's fur.
As the beast falls to the ground he turns to the other members of the party and speaks out somewhat loudly. "Willow, where are the others coming from? Alexander, how are you holding up?" Before the two have time to reply, Andras' gaze turns to Advent in the tree and calls out for him. "Blindy, do you sense the pet from up there?" Once he had finished talking, double over as he realises that he his out of breath and starting to breathe heavily and dispelling his bloody weapons. As he straightens himself up he starts focusing on his teammate's replies, hoping that Advent can find the dog the team is seeking and hoping that it doesn't led them towards or through anymore danger, wanting to return to the Exam site with all limbs attached and with no casualties.

Advent had noticed something below him as not that long after he had used his hidden secrets spell that Willow had used something similar, he tilted his head knowing that people with the same specializations had spells that worked differently. Still, they were of the same rank he believed; he waited to feel just how far it went and how strong it was in comparison to his own if it turned out hers was to the same reach as his and stronger he would drop his spell as it would just be a waste of mana on his part. This, however, wasn't the case, his was slightly stronger and had double the range of Willow's meaning she was just wasting her magic keeping it up. His element was mist while her own water, he guessed due to how faint the mist was she didn't pick up on it, but surely being sensory sensitive she would have picked up on the same sort of information he did and realise that casting that spell when they were going to stay together for this mission was just a waste of her magic that she could be used more effectively on other things.
"Watery Willow tree..." he started as he squatted perfectly on the balls of his feet on this branch he had been walking on, his arms on his knees as he turned his gaze to the other sensory mage. "If I had to guess our spells do the exact same things; if you check you'll notice I have a longer reach meaning I would cover the same ground you are and then some." his tone was complex as he had no idea how to do this kind of thing as he wasn't boasting he was just bringing an observation to her attention thing was he was normally happy and grinning but knew that this time it was wrong but didn't know what was appropriate.
"Due to the severe overlap, I suggest you drop your sensory spell and allow me to handle that; this isn't just because my range is greater than your own but also because I have the added benefit of hearing through this spell giving me more precise information on the locations of enemies." he said with a happy smile as he gave a bit of information the others didn't know "It also allows me to eavesdrop on conversations as if I was part of them even from a great distance away." he would proclaim triumphantly, he then realised he ended up getting sidetracked.
"What was I saying again...?" he asked himself standing and scratching his cheek as he had completely forgotten "Oh! I remember!" he said grinning as if he had done some great feat "End your spell and allow me to take over the sensory duty so you can support the others in ways I'm unable to great watery Willow tree." he ended hoping that the other would understand that them both casting the same spell would just waste unneeded mana and that it was best for her to end it over him due to his reach and additional abilities within the spell.
He was about to get into a conversation with Alexander about his choice of squad but before he could it seemed that the first round of combat had started, he stood and walked down the ever-thinning branch with complete balance as if he was on the ground. He was keeping a close proverbial eye on his teammates as it seemed he was the only one with a healing spell, it was kind of inconvenient in his mind if they had to part ways but it was what it was at the end of the day. The first attack of three seemed to have gone with little to no issue but that was only three of what he had felt previously, luckily no one was harmed yet so perhaps healing wouldn't be needed but it was too early to say really.
Once again he listened through the mist, he heard very weak whimpering but it was being overshadowed with hungry growls "We need to travel south by south-east for thirty meters, there are two enemies in that direction and they aren't going to be coming to us because they are on the hunt for the puppy who seems injured by what I'm hearing." With that, he hopped and fell from the tree landing in a proper crouched position and ran in the direction he heard hoping the others would follow him or he was going to have some issues ahead but he'd figure it out one way or another like he always had before. It would just be so much easier if those who had attack magic would be there to deal with the killer issue.
Once Advent was within two meters of the two younger mana beasts he would quickly climb back up a tree, luckily his spell was still active and they were within the range of the original casting so it didn't need to be recast, that would be more of an irritant to be perfectly honest. He once again got to the branch he wanted and started pulling off acorns from the tree and throwing them at the mana beasts, at first it didn't seem to bother them but with how frequent they were getting pelted and with the strength Advent was throwing them they became agitated quite quickly. It was then that Advent realised he may have made a bit of a mistake as he wasn't quite high enough as they were barely missing taking a bite of him.
"Hey, guys! I don't think I'm that tasty and I'm quite attached to my feet and I'm still quite partial to using them..." he began jumping just to the left as he felt hot breath on the base of his right foot. "You can have them after I die I guess because I won't be really using them then." he called down to the mana beasts but who was he kidding they weren't understanding him but it at least allowed the puppy to run and find shelter since they were more interested in making the white-haired teen a snack which strangely he was okay with.

She puffed her cheeks up when she was called out for using sensory with sensory magic already in place, it, it was just because she wanted to double-check is all! "I was just making sure! You never know if there's something else afoot!" She stammered out while deactivating her spell, her compatriots were able to deal with two of the bears it seemed.
Though they seemed to not want to kill the bears. They were mana beasts, and Willow knew much more about them than they did most likely, she did study them and practice drawing them. With her grimoire at the ready, she readied another set of spells, this time a magic circle of glowing blue appeared behind her. With Andras and Alexander landing blows on two of the bears, she readied the first of two spells. "Wquf Tynhonv!" She declared while waving her arms around in a circle, two flows of water that chased each other to make a full circle without ever connecting swirled to life. As she lurched her body around, she unleashed the spell, where it would fly through the air, around three trees like she was commanding it from her position, it struck one of the bears square in the face, the one that Alex had struck. And the moment it was hit with the splash of water with such a force, it was knocked to the ground, and dead, shortly after the body started to fade away, turning back in to mana dust. These weren't really animals, they were creatures made from the mana of the world, and when they died they returned to the mana.
Following up with the bounce of her Hunting Flow spell, it sought out the next bear, striking it along the side of the jaw and sent it rolling to the ground as it too returned to dust. That left at least three bears of a normal variety and the big one that was still on its way. "Ju-just put them down! And we can find the puppy! Be c-careful and try-try to rely on Advent's instructions!" She stammered out while readying her second attack spell.
"Jtuh Xkobbqi." Using Drizzle shot, the water swirled around her arm from her shoulder to her wrist where it compacted into a tight little ball, only to be shot off as a quick jet in to two bears that came out from the brush, trying to rush in. She struck them both square on, grazing the high-pressure water against them hard enough to cause some sizable damage to them.
[colorteal="J-just be careful when you are trying to use, use any sort of area attack magic." She said while feeling mana returning to her body already, a bit exhausted from using so much, but she felt better knowing she could use this much and take some back with the vampiric nature of her people's unique mana. It was time to get serious, and it was showing, even though her anxiety and nervousness were skyrocketing and telling her to just cut ties and run.

Alexander was a bit miffed as his target was taken from him as a blast of water shot it without remorse. The beast then dissipated into the mana as he forgot that they were mana beasts and not actually animals. Some habits stayed since he was more used to knocking them out to preserve the meat. “Nice Shootin there, Willow. But warn a guy next time before taking a shot”, he joked as he made a feigned head shot option with his hands as he glanced over at her before going back to work. She shot two more that came from the bush and he sets his sights on them as he can feel more coming from their direction. They were going to be an issue and he needed to take them down faster than he actually assumed due to them being more bulky than he thought.
“Lightning Blade”, he said as he clapped his hands together and lightning began to spark and crackle once again and a surge of electricity began to form and shape in his hands. It soon took the form of a foreign blade as it was one of the few pieces of weaponry he found somewhat interesting to remember. He twirled it in his hand as one would do with an actual sword as he took a fighting stance. “Showtime”, he said as he began to rush for the two bears who had taken some considerable damage from Willow.. They were wet and drenched so it was obvious that he’d take an opportunity to strike as he got faster as he went in and slashed at the both of them with his lightning blade. They were softer than rocks but they were comparable as despite being made of pure lightning. There was some resistance to them slash he felt. But he soon followed up with a few more slashes as he had the speed advantage and he covered the birth of them in cuts. Shallow but with enough speed, a dozen of weak cuts start to add up and they start to get more annoyed than hurt.
“Yep, this spell is working like a charm”, he exclaimed in excitement as the energy burned bright. The energy burning through their fur and they roared out in pain as he didn't need to hold back on them. But it wasn't the end as one of them went down and returned to the earth but the remaining one lunged at him and he barely blocked the bite with his blade as he stayed on the defensive. They were more resilient than he assumed as he found himself getting pushed back a bit. He soon broke and flowed from his guard as he kicked the remaining one towards Andras. “Oi, Bones! I’m sending one your way, I’ll join up with Advent”, he exclaimed as he gave a half assessed salute and dashed towards the blindfolded man's general direction.
“Advent, you know where the puppy is?! We took care of the bears but now we gotta find the lil guy”, he yelled towards his general direction as he used his speed to gain more momentum to cover more ground. He carried himself forward as he quickly ran up a tree and began to jump from tree to tree to get a better view of the forest as he heard that the puppy was injured. Any tracks or even blood can be of use as he can simply follow along the trail and locate the pet.
But in the back of his head he can feel something was wrong as he knows that those mana beasts were not the only ones in the forest. He can't tell but he has a gut feeling that there's more danger awaiting them as he jumped from tree to tree. Playing it by the ear as he excelled at scouting and the like for his speed. so he didnt need to worry until it came to him.
“Last one to find the puppy buys the group lunch after this !”

Upon hearing from Advent in which direction the pup was in and seeing the white haired boy running off, Andras rushed after him alongside Willow and Alexander. Before long, around thirty meters away from the location of their last bout, Andras spotted the blind mage scurrying to safety from the two new mana beast that stood in their way. To Andras' surprised, he heard Willow's voice speaking in a language that was unknown the young lad. As soon as she spoke a pool of water gathered around her and shot out towards the beasts, hitting the both of them. As soon as one of the beast at dissipated Andras saw Alexander summon a blade of pure lightning, which reminded the spiky-haired boy of the lightning strikes he would see from his bedroom window during stormy nights. As soon as the blade was formed, the red-haired boy rushed forth and performed a flurry of slashes against the remaining beast. The dancing lights that came from the movement of blade was enough to stun Andras with awe, mesmerised by the sight. His attention was snapped back to reality as Alexander called out to Andras, using the nickname that he had used before. If he were being honest, he preferred that nickname compared to the one that had been given to him a few months prior when the boy he knew as Chisana had given him. Once the red-haired boy called out, Andras realised that Alexander and kicked the beast in his direction before bolting in the direct Advent heading, shouting something about lunch, to which confused Andras since he thought it was well passed time to eat.
Thanks to Alexander kicking the beast, it seemed to have been stunned which gave Andras the perfect opportunity to finish it off. "Blood Creation Magic: Hanged-man's Flail" He shouted out as he rushed towards beast, drawing his weapon and using the momentum of the dash to strike the creature square in the maw. Upon the dissipation of the creature, he dispelled his weapon and turn to see Willow standing not far behind him. "Good work, Willow. You're a good shot." He turn back to where the new dissipated mana beast were standing, recalling that they seemed to be investigation an area. Upon closer inspection, Andras spotted a small patch of grass turned red from some drops of blood. Barely a few steps from the blood, he found the small paw prints belonging unmistakably to a small dog. Following the tracks for a minute, he started hearing the subtle whimpers of a dog, following it to a hollowed out tree. Within the tree, Andras saw the missing pet with the identifiable baby pink collar with a golden name tag cowering at the back, a dark red patch on it's fur that didn't seem like it's natural colour. Knowing that the pup is frightened, Andras moves out of sight and, knowing that Advent might be able to hear him, he called out. "Blindy. I found the dog and it's hurt. You said you had some healing magic so we need you hear." As he finishes speaking, he hoped that his call won't attract anymore mana beast to him and turned to the dog. He lowered himself to make himself look as nonthreatening as possible and lowering his voice to a soft whisper. "Hey Shelby. It's ok girl, the horrible creatures are gone. We are going to heal you, make you feel better and bring you home" his said slowly sliding his hand towards the dog, palm facing upwards. Once his hand is close enough, Andras can feel the dog starting to temptingly licking him. Once he realised that the pup was not afraid of him reached out with both hands and lifted her out of her safe spot, cradling her in his arms as he stood up. "Everyone. I got her" He called out once more.
Description: Andras summons a weapon from his grimoire. This weapon's handle of a humerus bone (upper arm) small enough to fit comfortably in his hand. From the tip of the bone, a stream of blood pours down to a human skull, excess blood dripping off it.
Advent looked to Willow and tilted his head as he honestly didn't understand her reaction, he wasn't trying to be rude or anything about the request it was just the most logical course of action in his mind as he had the greater reach and where he couldn't do anything offensive where she could it stood to reason. It wasn't that often he had a straight train of thought so the group should savour it while it lasted because it never lasted that long. He was glad that she didn't put up a fuss and deactivated her spell to help the others to take care of the threat at hand, from what he could tell they had made quick work of the three mana beasts before they all headed towards the puppy and the last two smaller mana beasts he had warned them about. Of course, he had climbed a tree as he did the first time but this was more for his safety than anything else as he may be in danger of getting hit by wayward spells or enemies and he was allergic to pain the last time he had checked. As before it would seem that the teamwork of Willow, Alexander and Andras had not only made quick work of the two beasts trying to make him merely a torso but had even found tracked the puppy via a blood trail.
"Bone for brains, my name is Advent." he grinned as he moved down the branch he was on and onto a nearby one, continuing this in quick succession ignoring Alexander's comment about someone buying the others lunch. He still had no idea what Yul was so there was no way he would have been able to do such a thing at the end of the day.
"Yeah, I have hea-" he cut off mid-sentence as he started to look around listening to his mist and what he heard didn't make him fill with confidence.
"Boney, Willow water tree, lightning bolt get back it's on a rampage and coming quickly!" He warned the others, before long even without the help of sensory or even Advent's direction it was clear to see the large beast coming from behind them, it had turned out that it had been tracking them since they had entered the forest.
"Who knew these things were so smart..." Advent said right off the cuff as the others had acted on instinct alone, he wondered what made the big one so special, only thought was that this one was the parent and it was ticked off at its offspring being destroyed by a mismatched group of people looking for what was supposed to be dinner.
"Boney, put the puppy back inside or get your butt up here with her where it is safe so she and yourself don't become targets." he had this funny feeling if the puppy died the captain thinger mah bobs wouldn't be best pleased and he doubted that the others were like him and wouldn't really mind if they were displeased but they all seemed to be in this exam thingie for reals where he just stumbled into it out of sheer curiosity.

The dog had been found, the mission nearly complete, one major objective accomplished. That left the remaining two major points of note to get things done and get along with being called a successful mission: they needed to get the pup back home to her proper owners, and they needed to take care of the remaining mana beast. With all of the bears but one dealt with, it left the raging leader on a warpath for their hides. It wanted to feast, to destroy them with its bony armor and massive teeth. It was a monster in every sense of the word, and it was starving for some carnage and carrion.
That being said though, none of them would allow it to get what it wanted, though Willow refused to jump up in to a tree, she braced herself for a fight, readying herself to clash with the mana beast. As it came trundling out and looking to deliver a decisive blow. Willow, however, terrified as she was of the act of fighting, the act of getting involved in anything outside of her hometown, and the act of getting this close to a mana beast, let her instinct guide her beyond the rationale of her common sense!
She rushed forward just as the monster swung its arm down and hit her over the head to the ground, she was scratch up something good, it had the ability to pierce through mana skin partly, and her mana skin itself visibly crackled like a second skin, flayed pieces of mana flecking away from the swipe. She fell to the ground, twisting around to her back so she was under the bear. Grunting as she aimed her arms up at its stomach, those two spells from before at the ready, Drizzle Shot and Hunting Flow. With a stern look upon her face, she furrowed that brow and shouted the names of her spells, while the water pressure at the beast's unprotected underbelly was pierced through, only for the water to gush out of the other side of the bear's back.
Huffing and panting, she brought her arms over her face to protect herself as it slumped down, almost squishing her in the process, but it started to fade away into dust as it fell, it wasn't as tough as it seemed, but lord was it scary to go face to face with. As soon as the battle had been won, she spread her arms and looked up at the canopy of the trees. Taking in one deep breath, the pink-haired girl just took a moment to, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Yeah, that.
She had to vent a little, let it all out as the panic had finally set in. Rolling over from one side to the other, holding on to her knees to her chest, she rocked to and fro while trying to console herself and calm down, all while the mission had technically been finished, though her focus was on how she could have died there, her body just took over, like someone else was piloting her body. But that made no sense, what was going on, what in the world was taking place here?! She didn't know, she just knew she wanted her brushes and her coffee to do some water coffee painting to calm herself.
