Everything was going according to the plan Malacath had placed in motion. Ardere knew that he was outmatched for the daemon, despite Mala being on his last leg. A laugh would then shoot out of the daemons mouth whenever he heard the Crimson King give in to his demands. He watched both Captains lower down on their knees knowing that they didn’t want their precious King to become a victim of war. Malacath would then moved a few steps closer towards the two before he realized that his legs would give out if he were to move anymore. Instead, he looked over at the two Captains with his devilish smile shining across his face. “You are a pathetic man Ardere. The both of you are. People who have a purpose in this world to protect someone will always be destined to fail. That is why this Kingdom will now be mine, and all of you damned Knights will die alongside everyone else who has died today.” Speaking aloud to he two Captains before Ardere would then say something. Malacath became suspicious of this as he raised his hand in show that he wasn’t afraid to kill their King. But what he didn’t know was of the spell Ardere still had in place as it would spin around to slice Malacath in half. His upper body would slowly fly upwards as his lower body downwards. Blood could be seen coming from where the Crimson King had cut as well as out of his mouth. His eyes were still able to move as they looked over at his opponent while the man was speaking. It didn’t matter to him at this point. Ardere would then send maneuver around to where he would send his sword spell along with two flaming arms towards the daemon. Nothing he could do now, but the spells would then strike the daemon. All parts of his body would fly over in the same direction. Malacaths spirit still had a brink of life left to it. With his final act, he would summon a portal right below the severed parts. The human parts of Nero would then seep down into the void portal as the rest of Malacath would disappear as his life force had now ended. The portal would then close after as the old Wizard Kings body would now belong to the Void Realm.
The attacks that were sent towards the two opponents had become successful. Flora was caught within one of the blasts that took off her mana shield in the process. Byrn had suffered from her mana shield being destroyed as well. Afterwards, Flora had been sent over towards her partner as she tackled her along with sending her golems around to protect them. All four daemons would look over at the golem dome that protected the two females. Noises began to come from the creatures that would sound like a weird way of laughing. Creatures 1 and 2 would then summon their spears once again as one of them will deal grand damage while the other deal senior. Creature 3 then signaled for them to approach the golem shaped dome. Each of them raised their weapons up as they made it right next to their target. In which bringing them downwards to land blows at the golems. They would continue raising their arms and smashing them downwards at their target until the dome would break to reveal the pathetic Knight and Human that dared to want to fight the Shadow Creatures of the Daemon Malacath.
OOC: Alright! Malacath is dead! But the event isn’t over yet. Flora and Byrn had managed to survive the attacks from the shadow creatures. Both Flora and Byrn suffered from losing their mana shields due to the attack. Luckily, Flora used a plan that bought them some time. Will someone come to their rescue in time? Or will they die along with the other Citizens and Knights.

Elemental Type: Pure Aura Rank & Spell Type: Junior Rank Supplementary Construct Spell Range & Speed: Self; 10 (+5 from Fast Lane) m/s Mana Cost: 10 | 5 Stats Affected: None Applicable Perks: Fast Lane Description: Jhonkaqadam, or the Gust Step, earns its name by the Aura user seemingly moving through the air as if it were solid ground. A bluish aura surrounds the limbs to be used for movement, releasing a visible gust of energy per push. The key difference lies that the user cannot sustain their elevation without constant input from the caster. It is a spell that allows one to move upon surfaces that are not naturally able to be traversed by a mundane human with nothing but one's own aura (such as air, water, oil). The caster is unable to change trajectory without use of another step or input (such as applying the spell with one's hand)..
Elemental Type: Pure Aura Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate Rank Attack/Physical Reinforcement Spell Range & Speed: Up to 40 meters, 15m area, 10 cubic meters (full charged); expands out at 20 m/s Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Stats Affected: Strength Applicable Perks: Build Up, Concussive Blows Description: The next step of the Principle series focusing on enhancing her strength. Capable of being unleashed as an attack, Bryn will charge forth and strike the opponent with an advancing strike. This can be done as a punch, kick, or grapple. Her aura focuses and then is fired forth like a torrent of energy in a cone formation, dealing intermediate damage to the target. A fiery red aura that then condenses around one limb. The targeted limb glows similarly to a heated blade, pulled straight from the forge. While active, the spell increases Bryn's strength to Intermediate rank.
Name of Spell: 210अड्डा * सर्दियों की धुंधली छाया 210Adda - Sardiyon kee Dhundhalee Chhaaya (Haunt 210 - Hazy Shade of Winter)
Elemental Type: Pure Aura Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate Rank Attack Spell Range & Speed: Up to 40m; 20 m/s Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Stats Affected: None Applicable Perks: Build Up Description: Visualising an extension of herself, a pair of phantasmal arms spawn from her backside. These arms can lunge out or attack in tandem with Bryn's physical strikes. The arms are transparent blue, wearing similar gauntlets to Bryn's own. If used in tandem, the fist move with Bryn's own swinging limbs up and extends her attack range up to 10m. The fists deal intermediate damage.
The spell is able to extend further out at the expense of requiring concentration from Bryn. The spell increases in power by +5 per turn for a maximum of three turns due to Build Up. Limiting her movement to walking, she can unleash punches up to the maximum range of 40m. These punches still deal intermediate damage.
Name of Spell: 201शून्यविस्फोहवा ◙ 201Shoony - Visphothava (Void 201 - Exploding Wind)
Elemental Type: Pure Aura Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate Rank Attack Spell Range & Speed: Up to 40 meters, 20m area, 20 cubic meters (full charged); expands out at 20 m/s Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Stats Affected: None Applicable Perks: Build Up Description: Bryn rears back slightly and charges her element within the palms of her hands. She then releases the intense aura energy in her palms, firing a stationary concussive blast. Visphothava takes the form of a large sphere of raw energy with a wind tunnel appearance spiraling around violently. The sphere with its violent aura initially envelops a large area in front of Bryn. If the spell is charged, the area expands upon release. At maximum charge, Visphothava envelops Bryn's entire form with a sphere of spiraling aura blasts. She is still stationary while using the spell.
This area of effect spell deals intermediate damage to all those in its path.
The sensation of having one's mana skin ripped off completely was something Bryn could never get used to. She hadn't the slightest clue how the blast breached the golems with them still in tact, but it did and the pugilist was feeling the effects of it. Pain throbbing all over her body, it seemed the vice-captain was still in tact and conscious. It was a good thing too, as their enemies would not give them much rest. Whether the illusion spell was active or not, the magic did little to hide the appearance of the golem's fortitude cracking ever so slightly. This called for quick thinking, else the next thing coming down the chute was a death sentence.
Looking around her, her active haunt spell was likely not going to cleave the earth without causing some sort of collapse. Bryn saw that they needed just a small space to wiggle into, preferably one for each of them. She conveyed a message of her actions over to Flora, keeping it as concise as possible. 'I'm going to grind out two holes directly to our side. It's not going to be very deep since I don't want to weaken our pit. It's just going to be deep enough for us to wedge in and avoid being completely exposed if something were to come down. It'll also give me a bit of cover to buy you an opening.'
Her phantom arms showed that they could articulate themselves at angles impossible for the human body to recreate. By sight alone, one could tell Bryn was planning to fire a blind shot upward while her main body was in the crevice about to be made. All the same, the pugilist needed to focus. The spell that would grind the harder earth they found themselves in needed something stronger than her Shoony spell, though the one she was about to use normally covered a larger area. By concentrating it to a reasonable size in each hand, the maneuver could drill a divot just big enough for the women to hunch into the walls. Only real negative thing would be if the shadows suddenly wielded earth elemental magic, in which cases they were already dead. Coming to terms with the plan, Bryn chanted,
"Don't wiggle around too much Vice-Captain, as the sails be wrapped about my palms under the duress of storms. Channel the fury of my aura and unleash yourself Void 201, Visphothava."
The hole lit up a little brighter under the two spiraling spheres of raw energy that twirled within the palms of her hands. Bryn extended out while letting her sizable bosom rest onto Flora, apologizing to the vice-captain for the momentary discomfort. Dirt began to kick up as her sphere spell violently grinded into the dirt walls, slowly forming a new dip in the normally even cylinder. It kicked up some dust and clouded one's vision slightly, though at this point all the members in combat were likely using what sensory powers they had. Bryn's sphere spell broke shortly after, dismissed under the concentration requirements to maintain it. She then propped herself up and assisted Flora if needed, noticing the grooves in the wall were just large enough for the both of them. Noticing their plug was beginning to show see through cracks, Bryn took to her groove for cover and prepared her Haunt arms to lash upward.
To be honest, she was praying that this surprise attack would work. The idea came from several insects in the wild and right about now, Bryn felt like one of them. A powerless entity resisting to survive with what was on hand. Her spell arms extended out from the groove and reeled back, ready to launch upwards once a large enough hole in their golem plug appeared. The spell would be canceled quickly after being lashed out, to allow for Flora to do what she does immediately and prevent the entities above from grabbing ahold of her. Literally a one and done, yet so much could go wrong. Still, she made use of Flora's communication spell once more to send a detailed mental image of her predicament to Yuurei. How they were in the center hole of a small crater.
Her eyes caught the sight of the golems having a large enough hole to fit her spell through, which Bryn then fired them through to strike at any entity in its path. After emerging from the hole, her spell then dissipated as quickly as it lashed out.
"All you vice-captain." Bryn said slightly out of breath.

Yuurei would see everything unfold, and while the daemon was finished off, it didn’t seem like everything was done right then and there. He could see that Nero was still there, or at least what was left of him. He ordered his golem to move towards the dying man as he was going to at least retrieve the body. Still, something would happen, he would see that a portal would end up appearing as if it were trying to take Nero’s body to another realm. The noble wanted to try and do something about it as he had used one of his Deflecto spatial magic alongside the void magic. He wanted them to clash and hopefully stopped the void magic from doing what it wanted to do to Nero. Of course, it was all an attempt and whether or not it worked was up to faith. Still, now that things were done here, he would catch the king, who was no longer in the grasp of the Deamon, and would just look at him before looking away.
“At least you’re safe my king.” He said this as he really didn’t care about this king at all.
His eyes closed though because the battle within the capital was over. The first thing he felt was Bryn needed his help, but Malacath’s mana was sinister, so he knew that it needed to be stopped before he could do anything else. Now that it was done, he would try and sense for Bryn’s mana signature as he wanted to make sure that she was fine and alive before making his next move.
It wouldn’t take long, but Yuurei would be able to sense her mana presence and the other belonging to Flora. They were both still alive, which was great, so he figured there was still time to help them out. He would look at the king as he would have a smile on his face.
“Sorry my king, but you are going to have to take a trip with me. Don’t worry I will keep my shield on you at all times.” He said to the man as his ring would glow.
“Spatial Magic: Venalicium.” He said this as he would create a marker around where Bryn and Flora were located if there were within 600 meters from him.
He would make a portal which was still active, but coming to an end soon. He would make a portal and he would have his golem enter it before coming out of it eighty meters away from him, and he would continue to do that for at most seven more times before he would get to he got to the girls that needed help with the fight in front of them.
When he had got there, he figured it was best to place defensive spells on both Flora and Bryn. He would do just that. Yuurei would place his Void Gladiator’s Armor on both of them as he had landed on the ground with the King behind him. The golem that he had gotten off of would start moving now as it was moving towards creature 3 at full speed. When it got close to the creature, it would attempt to swipe down at the creature twice at full force ready to deal maximum damage to it.
“Sorry I’m late I had to make sure everything was fine with Ardere side of the Capital. He should be on his way right about now.” He said as he stood standing waiting for this mess to be all over with.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Panting and exhausted, Ardere had burned through a serious amount of mana. If it weren't for his extra storage of mana (My Magic is Never Giving Up Perk), he would have surely fainted. The other unfortunate thing was that his Spirit Dive was coming to an end. He would not be able to maintain it for more than a minute or so--at his best guess. The only thing left to do was finish the events in the Capital. His first priority; grab Nero's body. But the Daemon Malacath made that had to do. You son of a bitch! Growling, he noticed Yuurei's attempt to stop it, but he was unsure if it would prove successful or not. I'm sorry Nero. I hope that you can rest now. Grinding down on his teeth, he held back tears. Even though he was glad to help his former mentor be free, he still felt remorse and pain. The former Wizard King had been a powerful ally and even at times a good friend. He wished he was strong enough to save him from the madness, but the best he could do was lay him to rest. It was the best anyone could do, nonetheless the fire mage held back his tears and began to worry about the other mages in the Capital. [break][break] Following Yuurei's movements who had taken the Royal King with him, he flew over to the Daemon attacking what he did not yet know to be Bryn and Flora. With all of his remaining strength, the Crimson King shot his sword in tandem with the Silver Eagle's golem. Let's finish this! Blood dripped down his cheeks and fell to the ground like slowed rain drops. His stamina was at an all time low. His only solace was that he had finally gotten his justice, after all these years. Years of pain and remembrance. Finally, he could rest for a bit. Sorry guys, I think that's all I've got. Make sure everyone is safe...Yurei... Assuming he managed to help dispatch of the beasts attacking the Capital, he let himself fall to the ground. His muscles were drained of energy and steam quite literally poured from his body as his Spirit Dive powered down. He had put too much energy into this form that he had not yet mastered, and now he was paying the consequences. But he went into this slumber with a bit of hope in his heart--he had the strength to fight the Arch-Daemon. Even if it cost him his limbs, he was going to finish this war somehow--for Silas. [break][break] As the fire mage fell into unconsciousness, Salamander exited his form and burst forth in front of him. Using his wings to shield his master, he growled protectively. The young man had fought so hard against a Daemon who's power was titanic. The dragon felt a sense of pride in his young master, even if he still had much to learn. But for now, the battle in the Capital was over. All they had to do was rebuild. Deep in his slumber, Ardere dreamed of home and of a young red headed apprentice he still mourned for. But he also dreamed of his family, all of those he had lost. Clover hadn't lost yet, not today.
Following after Bryn as she used her magic to dig quickly, Flora frowned. She was dirty, on her hands and knees, crawling through a tunnel that she had just helped create.
You know, kuku. This isn't very 'witch queeny' is it? I doubt witch queens ever have to burrow around the ground like moleys because the enemies they are fighting don't like to get hit in the face and refuse to. Kuku, bad sportsmanship. They should have all just given up at the beginning, ku! And now look at me! Dirty dirty dirty. Kukuku, I don't like it one bit! They should be the ones having to burrow like moley moles, not me! I'm the Vice-Captain! Guh! This isn't going well at all. I'm going to have to take a very long bath and have to invent some new spells when I get home.
The little witch continued to follow behind Bryn quickly as Flora's golems defend hole's entrance the best they could.
Still, this is quite the con... konno.. conun... this is quite the pickle isn't it, ku?! Who would have thought that me, kuku, Flora of the Witches' Forest, would have difficulty against an enemy?! Kukuku, even when I just fixed up my hat for some extra oomph! Ku! Very frustrating indeed! Hmm... actually, kuku, I haven't even gotten a chance to use my hat yet! And after all the work I went through making it! Guh! I guess there be other times. I can still pour more magic into it after all, kuku. Yes! Maybe once I get out of that, kuku, I'll put some more work into my hat! That way I never have to go through this humiliation again, kukuku!
Suddenly, Flora felt her golems finally bite the dust at the hole's entrance.
"Kuku... oh no you don't! Creating three more golems, Flora send them forward. Don't let anything follow us, ku!"
Obeying, the golems created another barrier out of the bodies.
"There we go... kukuku, my golems are very tough so that should buy us some more time."
Hoping that the golems would buy them more team, Flora follow Bryn deeper until they reached the spot. Reaching out with her sensory, Flora could sense the shadows that had been annoying her all afternoon. Not only that, but Flora could also sense Captain Yuurei of the Silver Eagles.
"Witches' Forest Magic! Blooming Call!"
Using her communication spell, Flora would reach out to the other four members of the team.
"Kukuku, hello again. This is Flora of the Witches' Forest, Vice-Captain on the Blue Rose. Kukuku, I find myself in quite the pickly pickle. Though I can sense Captain Yuurei is here, ku. I'm going to try and shoot a spell to distract them and then maybe Captain Yuurei can finish them off or something. Ah, kuku, we're in a hole under the ground so don't hit us please. Kukuku, I won't forgive you if you do. Ah, I also don't know where Captain Ardere is, kuku, but if it's not too much trouble maybe you should also come and defeat these guys for fun. Normally, kuku, I could take on all of these guys by myself! Kuku, but I'm very tried after digging this wonderful little hole, ku. Okay, I'm going now. Bye bye."
Finishing what she wanted to say, Flora prepared to fire her spell hoping that Captain Yuurei would make use of the distraction to get the jump on the shadows.
"Very well then, Ms. Brynn. Kukukuku, I'm sure they'll probably dodge this too, but let's give it a shot anyway! Ku! Witches' Forest Magic! Phantom Splinter!"
Firing from under the ground towards the shadows, Flora hoped for the best.
Summary: Flora follow Bryn deeper, summons more golems to block the way after her and bryn, uses communication spell to speak to yuurei, bryn, and ard. Attempts to fire spell at shadows from underground in their blind spot.

Rank & Element: Jr, Blood Class & Type: Relic, Accessory Magic Specializations: Healing, Hex Appearance & Lore: The witch hat of Flora of the Witches’ Forest. Having received the hat as a child the hat is ever present on the little witch’s head, and marks her as a witch of the Witches’ Forest. Unbeknownst to most, Flora has tinkered, experimented, and fiddled with her hat in hopes of giving it abilities much like a certain witch hat created in an experiment by the Coral Peacock’s magical squad.
Having reversed and engineered the Coral Peacock’s process, and in her own mind perfected it, Flora succeeded in imbuing her own witch hat with blood magic. Utilizing techniques extracted from the Coral Peacock’s experiment, as well as pieces of cloth collected from her deceased sister Majolica, a user of blood magic, Flora imbued her hat with some of her sister’s power.
Dubbing her hat the Bloodflow Coronet, Flora believes the hat to symbolize her and her sister’s dream of eventually becoming Witch Queen. Flora believes that this hat will also serve as her crown when she accomplishes her goal. The hat itself is smaller than typical witch hats and is black, purple, or very dark red depending on the light. Flora’s ornamental yellow, green, and black strip runs around the rim as well as a star with a lidless eye pin. Abilities:

If Flora's hex is +10 in power than player B’s control, that buff/healing will be erased completely.
If Flora’s power is +15 over the healers, then that heal will now damage the target equal to a spell one rank beneath the heal’s.

Flora recreated these security golems using her own mana and designed them based on the security golems that patrol the Witches' Forest. Unlike the security golems found in the Witches' Forest, Flora's cannot utilize projectiles or ranged attacks. Due to this spell being of the world tree element, this spell is able to naturally steal 10 mana from a person per individual spell that touches them a post.

If Flora desires, While someone is afflicted by the spell, Flora's can make her voice sounds as if it is coming from all around the afflicted at once, making tracking Flora by sound impossible. If Flora wishes she can also allow other to see, hear, or smell her as normal while under the spell’s effects.
The check to see through the illusion is 30 (+ 2 per every 5 of Flora's control). This spell can be cast on allies and makes use of the ammo rules.
Opening her grimoire, a blood red leaves blow out frantically around Flora. The leaves become thick enough to hide Flora and when the leaves fall away Flora, or whomever the spell is cast on, is gone.
Time had approached the point to where the Shadows knew things weren’t going to last much longer. The presence of their master had disappeared from their senses once they broke through the golems that blocked Flora and Byrn From them. As the final blow to them connected there would be more golems to appear in their place. Both attacking creatures quickly became frustrated at this point. It wasn’t until the signatures of both Captain Yuurei and Ardere had came down to send off their attacks. One of the Shadows was quickly destroyed by this blow to where the shadow creature dissolved and disappeared into the wind. The other Shadows knew that they weren’t going to be any match for two people with this mana along with the other two to help. Their mana was running low to the point where their bodies began to disappear as well. In a last minute effort to attack, the rest of the shadows would send off attacks, but would only get around 10 meters in front of them before the creatures and spells disappeared as well. Nothing left in the battlefield but the Captains, Vice-Captain, and Citizen along with King Clover. Sadly, Former Wizard Kings body wasn’t able to be saved by the two captains. His body was sent off into the void to where the Captains wouldn’t be able to reclaim him. It was apart of the Daemons plan all along for him to pull a stunt such as that. Nonetheless, when Malacaths last remanence had disappeared from the Capital would be when better things start to happen. The Gates to the City had became unblocked by the Daemons Void portals. All Corrupt Guards and Prisoners were released from the corruption that had possessed them. Their Bodies lay where they stood before falling to the ground all over the kingdom unconscious. The Capital was in ruins from one corner to the next which was filled with dead and scared Magic Knights and Citizens. Rest ashore, the siege on the Capital has now ended with the Victory of the Magic Knights along with the help of a rising Citizen. What they did next was on them. Captain Ardere had passed out from his overuse of his newer ability of Spirit Dive. This was a great sight to see by a mysterious figure that now lurked on top of the half destroyed Palace. Their mana was blind by everyone. Whoever this mysterious person was enjoyed getting a good watch of what powers these Knights and Citizens had. Now they would disappear into the wind, as it is not their time to make their appearance just yet.... OOC: Well done everyone! Malacath has been defeated to where the Capital is now free. There is a lot to take in now that the fight is over. Dead bodies laid everywhere while citizens are coming out of hiding. You are required to make at least a minimum of 500 word exit detailing the ending of this siege. Meaning, describe how they feel, what they see, etc etc. Enjoyed it everyone!

Yuurei would see that everything was turning back to normal and a lot of the corrupted mana that was around the place was disappearing. This was good, which meant the effect that the Daemon had on the Capital was fading away. This was the way to ensure their victory, and he was glad. The noble could see that Ardere had used a lot of his mana, and energy for that fight, which brought Yuurei to make his move towards him. He would catch his friend before he hit the ground as he would move his golem and then placed the big guy on top of the golem.
“You did great, so you deserve the rest. I will take care of everything else.” He said to the unconscious body.
Yuurei would look to the two of them with a smile on his face as he needed to assess the situation and get things back to control.
“I need you two to check the injures around the capital. I will help your girls as well. Just give me one second.” He would shoot out his mana throughout the entire capital and with that two people would rush straight towards him.
Yuurei would have a smirk on his face when he saw that Kouhei and Sekai were fine. She would rush straight towards him and she would jump into the air and hug him with everything she could. Kouhei would just nod at his cousin as he was happy that everything was fine.
“I see you guys kept yourselves busy. I need you two to tend the wounded and bring them to knights that can heal them.” He said to them both.
Kouhei would nod and Sekai would get off him as she was fine with helping out as well.
“There were a lot of people that we help escaped. There were a few that we couldn’t save, but we did our best. We will continue to look through the capital to make sure that everything is fine.” Kouhei said as the two of them would do as they were ordered to do.
Yuurei would look to the King and he would smile at him.
“I’m going to need you to stay with me until the Wizard King shows up, but for the time being we need to take care of you and everyone who lives here.” He said as he started moving through the capital to help out.
Fading in and out of unconsciousness, Ardere saw his comrade take over. It was unfortunate that he had exhausted himself so, but this was his penance for utilizing an ability he had not yet mastered. Even so, he could not get over what had been done to Nero's body. Even though he won the fight, he felt a hit to his pride in that. After all of this chaos and destruction, the man deserved a proper burial. One thing was for sure; he would get a funeral. That much was certain. The fire mage could barely process more than this, but for a moment he swore he saw a familiar brunette man walking the streets of the Capital. Maybe he wasn't crazy, maybe this was a sign. That bold man walking through the streets with the strength of the Kasai. Whether it was real or not didn't matter anymore--he got the message. The path to victory lay before him, but it was a path full of danger and fury. At the end, he could see the light. Just barely but it was there. Clover was not going to lose to the Daemon. Finally he had proven himself after Silas' death. Not that anyone doubted him other than himself, but it was nice to receive validation from the person who mattered most in matters of self confidence; himself.
Yuurei's words wandered through his ears, but he barely heard them. As he continued to fade in and out, he wondered if this was it. Or if there were other horrors today. The Daemon did not often act alone like this. Someone let Malacath out and they had other plans. But where was Jagen?
Ardere rested with a smirk on his face, strength waning but spirit still intact. Salamander watched over him as the other mages went to check on the citizens. The Crimson King was done for now, but his fight was far from over.
"Kukuku, well this wasn't very fun at all was it... I should never be the one being forced to dig tunnels and crawl around underground in the dirt. Kuku, that should the enemy! They should be the ones that have to get all dirty and squirm around like a worm in a hole! Guh! This is quite infuriating! I don't like it! Kuku! Not one little itty bitty bit! I suppose we did win though, kuku, of course through no power of my own!"
This last sentence seemed to anger the little witch the most.
"All I could do was stop us from getting smashed into pancakes! Kuku, and even then my golems could only hold out for so long! Very very angering, kuku. I'm not happy about this victory! Guh! Not one bit! This is all very upsetting and just goes to show that I need to push myself much further if I really want to be the type of witch that everyone is terrified of but also adores and gives candy to for free sometimes! Kukuku, I have a long long long long way to go!"
Digging her way back up out of the hole, Flora breathed deep. Pulling herself out of the tunnel she and Brynn had created, the little witch stood up and began to brush dirt off her clothes while frowning.
"I suppose it's good that Captain Yuurei and Captain Ardere were here, kuku. I must say though, that power Captain Ardere was using was really something else. Kukuku, I've never felt anything like it! I may need to do some studying to understand it a little bit better. Kuku, imagine all the things I could learn from studying it! Maybe I could even learn to imitate it with practice, kuku... wouldn't that be something."
Flora stretched her legs and her arms. Looking around, the little witch took in the chaos around her. The dead were numerous and many of the magic knights that had been possessed had lost consciousness. This had been no flawless victory and the toll that the attack had taken on the capital was obvious. The rebuilding process would not be easy, and neither would burying the many dead that now littered the streets.
"The thing that did this must have been horrific. Kuku, a power that could control others like this while also controlling things like those shadows... kukuku..."
Flora looked around herself again. Then began muttering to herself.
"Still, this is no good. Many of these people lost their lives because I wasn't strong enough, ku. If I had been stronger, then maybe much of this damage could have been averted. Guh... there's nothing I could have done now, but it does goes to show how far of a ways I still have to go."
As she spoke, the Blue Rose Vice-Captain ran her fingers through her hair pulling out a single strand. Holding it in her hand and lettering her mana wash over it, the strand of hair turned into a braided broomstick. The witch would then turn towards the others in her vicinity.
"It seems like this day has been won, kuku. Though I feel I really wasn't much help at all. Ku, even so the war may not be over! When I left, Raque was under attack but what looked like the entire ocean, ku! I need to return to help Captain Lazuli and to fight any of the remaining forces still attacking our town!"
Even though the battle Flora had fought had just been harrowing, she had her own sense of duty.
"Kuku, it wouldn't do for me to sit on my laurels while my squad mates and Captain Lazuli keep fighting! Kukuku, I must return and render aid in whatever way I can! Kuku!"
Lifting off, Flora would wave at the others.
"I appreciate the assistance in dealing with those shadow people things, kukuku. But! Remember this! Next time an enemy like that shows up, kukuku, I wont' need any assistance! Not one bit! I'll utterly destroy them with the full might of the Witches' Forest! Kukukuku! Next time, kukuku, it might be all of you asking for my help! Don't forget it! Ku!"
With that, the little witch lifted off and began flying her fasted towards Raque. She had no idea what awaited her in her squad's home but all she could do was fly her fastest and prepare herself for another battle.
"Whatever happens, kukuku, I'll be sure to make a much bigger difference in this fight! Those shadows were tough, kuku, but now I know what I'm dealing with! Now, kukuku, I can catch them by surprise! They'll never seen me coming! And even if they do, kukuku, it won't matter because they wont' be able to stop! Kukuku, that much I promise!"

A hurdle that was higher than any note ever played in her life. That was how she would describe what had just occurred. Using the active aura to fly out of the pit, she could see that Yuurei had once again come to their aid. It was frustrating to say the least. Not that she couldn't be told to play the damsel every now and then. This knot in her heart that frustrated her so belonged to the sheer level of despair at how powerless the pugilist was at resisting against an enemy from the old world. Her training, the recent developments in her magic, and acceptance into the ranks of the Magic Knights. All of it was but a pebble to the rampant chaos that rushed through the capital, violating its streets and her citizens. It was here that Bryn had the sudden understanding.
This was the sight that her family took in before their disappearance. Off to the right further away by the archwall was the young noble child, peeking to see if it was safe. Her eyes brightened immensely, letting down the walls as tears flowed without restraint. Blubbering would be an inappropriate way to describe how the child looked as she ran towards Bryn, her tears and nose refusing any sort of decorum and cold to the skin. Bryn froze for a moment, then deactivated her aura spells and knelt down to let the young child cry out her trauma. Scanning the courtyard, streaks of blood and shattered houses were just the beginning. The capital's citizens, such as this child, had their lives turned onto its head much like her own village at the border. There was no point in comparing who suffered more, but rather that they ought to share in their experiences. The sight still was unsettling, but the noble child was not who she once was anymore. This event forever stained in her heart, as Bryn stroked her dirtied platinum hair.
"There there. Hold nothing back, let it out miss." Bryn soothed, lifting her up and walking towards her up and seeing the others beginning to head out. Flora obviously frustrated at how she performed, Yuurei being dependable as always. The reconstruction effort was nothing new to Bryn. Heck, these past months had been nothing but aiding the villages who suffered form the Diamond Kingdom's invasion. Still, no matter how sullied the leaves on the clover were...they would rise back up. She could not stop now.
'Have you found your resolve?' said the younger Bryn, causing the older one to turn quickly and see the illusion right on the pool of blood.
The pugilist smirked and nodded. This caused the child to smile painfully, then faded away into nothing. A weight lifted slightly in her heart. Nothing could bring her family back. She was in denial all this time and ran away from the truth. In the face of these creatures, they didn't buckle under their fears. Just as her body and aura commanded to move, the sole Halcyon survivor was sure they were the same. It was not a sign of despair, but one of hope. That her family, even coming from a village no one pays any heed to in the capital, never went against their morals even once. She needed to keep that mantle alive for them.
"Come miss. You will see a lot of scary thngs to come, but be strong. You survived and that is no small feat. We are the surviving clovers that will bring back the field once more. So wipe away your tears and let's give the fallen a place to sleep peacefully." Bryn supported the young girl, who broke away from her sobbing and nodded. Both of them headed to the sounds for help and cries, ready to assist in the effort.
