[attr="class","textie"]When the woman echoed his thoughts he looked back at the area she had been looking at the the smattering of items around them. Probably from people like them who had made it this far, but were unable to tame the two creatures that were locked in their titanic battle. It was a disappointment that they had met their end here, but there was nothing that he could do about it for the time being. She mentioned perhaps looking for a few usable things, and then leaving which he could agree with. So for several moments he searched the items with her, gathering what he thought would be usable, if not for himself to someone else perhaps. As they began their descent out of the strange tower filled to the brim with prehistoric creatures she asked him something that caught him a bit off guard. When she said she could learn a few things from being around him, he thought back to the only person he had ever thought to teach.
She was now the Vice Captain of the Black Bulls, but that wasn't from his teaching of that he was sure. He didn't even know if he had taught her anything useful.
"I do not know if I am a good teacher..." he spoke to her in his measured tone. "I have only ever taught one other person, but if you want, I could try and help you learn things." he said to her without glancing over at her. It wasn't like he didn't enjoy teaching others, just no one ever wanted him to tutor them. Some small part of him enjoyed being able to help others grow, but he hadn't been focused on that since he had walked out of that strange realm, and the shattering had happened. So much had happened in such a short time. "I was taught by someone close to me, I admired him, and wanted to be like him so badly...My magic felt that, and my spells are a reflection of his in a way..." he admitted absently not even thinking about what he was saying.
Tapping his cheek as they walked through the room with the hunters making their way out, they weren't being bothered at the moment perhaps settling the dispute had caused all the other monsters to back off instinctively. It probably helped that the woman was carrying the meat of the Juvasaur which carried the scent of the much larger predator. That had to help drive away the smaller predators, and creatures. Walking down the cave to the room with the quicksand once again, he gave it some serious thought. She had asked to go on further excursions with him, but there were only so many Dungeons like this in the world. If she wanted to learn from him he could simply just train her the way Alphonse had trained him. As they climbed along the vines to the entrance, now their exit he looked at the swirling storm before them.
"If you are serious about learning...Training outside of dungeons is more efficient, I could teach you, and perhaps help you grow stronger in some small way as a result." he nodded to her. "If that is what you want...You can find me in the Royal Capital at the Golden Dawn base...Tell them you are looking for Vulkan, and you will be allowed inside without harassment." He stated to her, and for a brief moment there was a whisper of warmth in his normally cold voice. As if the thought of teaching someone made his woes go away for a time. "I will be waiting for you until then..." he said, and then without even getting her name he disappeared into the storm.
If she sought him out she knew how to find him now, and if she chose to not find him then he would be a little disappointed, but it wasn't anything that he couldn't handle. Deep down, he would be lying if he didn't say he didn't want someone he could teach. Zaven had Cyrus...Rosalia probably was taught by her captain...Even Sylvester had been taught by his father. But Vulkan had no one...Deep down he wanted someone that relied on him the way he had once relied on others...To fill a void that was currently missing inside of him.
