Time would soon pass over in the Clover Kingdom, fewer words were spoken throughout the magic knight squads on Hinokami's growth. An issue he himself would soon rectify. In all actuality he did want the recognition that came with his regular duties as a magic knight, fully understanding that for his name to truly make waves as well as to become the world's most renowned wizard; far more missions needed to be obtained and completed. As such was the reason for his departure of the royal gates and all of it's wonders for the derelict town of Hage, the place described to him from the other nobles that were alerted to his job choice was that the place reeked of commoners and weak magical abilities. Hinokami was unsure of their claims wanting to see to it himself, not to mention the fact that he'd already decided that those in Hage needed assistance and care. There would be no way the lion cub could ignore the cries of the unfortunate. So with that the brightly beaming lad would make his way towards the town on his usual source of transportation, that being the wizened broom he'd never let leave his side.
Traversing through the vast, beautiful and almost iridescent landscape instilled Hinokami with more confidence and happiness than he already possessed, despite the often negative connotations revolving those in the common or forsaken region, the genuine appearance of their country and land on numerous occasions gave the Kasai inspiration to strive for his true goal; utmost and indefinite peace. It was obvious to him that it would be an arduous yet fulfilling task, yet still when surrounded by such pleasantries it made his pursuit even clearer. Across the neighboring mountains Hino would be begin to make out the dusty white skull of the Demon before his time; the grand indicator to many of Hage's whereabouts.
A few minutes had passed until the fire-starter was now overlooking the valley that encompassed the old, barren land born from Hage. Strong, tall and fearless. Hinokami was now standing atop that same ominous vertex many souls would warn against. Hundreds of tales had been told to children of a wizard so powerful, so unwavering that even those in the darkest of depths couldn't stand his luminous gaze. Being so effortlessly motionless on the gigantic skull had put a lot of things into perspective for him, for starters he had finally grasped just how insignificant and small he actually was. As he watched the world go by from his vantage point and handful of residents going through their repairs and usual small talk to keep their days going. Hinokami was under the impression that those at the bottom were truly forgotten about and left to fend for themselves. Even standing here was proof of that enough, being handed a basic repairs and development job simply because the Kingdom seemed too busy or nonchalant about them to care. How could a whole nation sit idly by whilst there were true people in need of assistance and protection? The boy was beginning to have doubts about his allegiances towards those in Clover, despite the clear differences between his ideologies and theirs Hinokami still knew he couldn't place his feelings over something so trivial, he needed more.
"I promise...I will save you, each and every soul that walks these lands. I promise" Hinokami looked up into the rows of clouds dancing over each other, hoping his voice could be heard and held dear to those listening. With one more look at the atrocious surroundings and a soft sigh Hinokami held his broom and took off, leaving the frightening skull and bones in their final resting place.
Feet planted on the wooden broom he descended down onto the villagers and their livelihoods. The small group of citizens were in awe, either waving as he came down or gasps and shouts in exhilaration. Hinokami had only been a little boy when the world was hit by the Shattering, unsure of what exactly was going on and as to why the universe felt a darker Hino confided in his father during these points. A lot of their conversations detailed just how vicious and detrimental their attackers actions had been, unbeknownst to the boy his father had lost his best friend and his sister on the same day they were sent to fend off the Daemons. Hearing his own parent's voice of loss and the damnation of their opponent's heavily reinforced Hinokami's belief system as well as his ideologies. Just as he witnessed the strife and pain here, looking into the eyes of those around him made him feel at ease. These people had the purest souls and cleanest hearts, if anyone deserved protection and support it was these poorly villagers.
Hino stood proudly and nodded at his adoring community, few words had been spoken as he greeted each and every resident personally, first acknowledging their names then proceeding to ask how they were feeling and what he could do to assist. There were a few shocked faces of what could only be dwindled down to the fact they didn't expect this much attention especially from a magic knight all the way out here. After their formalities had been ran through a heavier set man waddled towards the flaming-eyed child, stark white hair and a reddened face juxtaposed nicely. He wore tattered robes that Hinokami could only describe as a literal sack, with a rounded face and beady eyes there was also a slight resemblance to a pig, but he'd digress.
"Good morning Crimson Lion, thank you kindly for your help here" The strained, sheepish voice of the man came flowing towards the Kasai. Hinokami simply nodded and rolled up his sleeves before taking one last glance at his surroundings. The vow to protect and help every individual was still shining brightly within his mind, no soul. There would be definite unrest until his job on this planet could be completed, he felt like he'd finally found his true purpose being more than just a magic knight. A wave of the hand came from the man who'd shortly introduce himself properly as Edward, a teacher from the local schoolhouse who'd been doing a lot of the heavy lifting since their collapse. Edward walked side by side with Hinokami as the two observed the new norm of Hage, to his left he noted a child with dirt streaks across their face and the common holey or otherwise damaged clothing. In it's hands a dusty doll that was a seeming replica of a dragon. From his right he picked up on the struggling of a few other men trying to maintain a pair of long and wide wooden planks, without so much as a thought Hino zipped over there and removed the burden from their shoulders and unto his own. Careful in turning around to face Edward who returned with a smile and yet another beckon.
After a short walk the two arrived at the least destructive site, all around him as far as he could see were wandering residents and their offspring, the buildings either looked derelict or showed signs of damage and wear with the potential to collapse at any moment. There was another motion a few meters in front of him, a taller male was asking for the pair of planks of which Hino quickly facilitated to. "As you can see, there's been quite a bit of issues. This is the least damaged side of what we've had to deal with but it shows promise. Thank you again Lion, you're doing more than necessary" Edward sighed to himself deeply, raising his head to the sky for a brief moment in thought before gazing back at Hinokami, alerted to the quick-thinking of the boy whom didn't hesitate at all. Hinokami had been setting up the brick foundations for a small shack that had crumbled in on itself, with his dexterity, agility and physical strength all compiled into one it suddenly made the more somatic problems easier to comprehend. Hinokami had trained vigorously in both magical and physical iterations yet found it undemanding to utilise his natural body for a various set of tasks.
After a long, hard and grueling sixteen hour session among those worked out civilians Hinokami felt rewarded, taking a step to admire his handiwork, albeit with some slight help from Edward, the boy was ecstatic. Glaring at the newly built cottages, fence work, sheds and cleanly cut separated lots for their farming uses made the other citizens jump for joy. Those who'd worked with him shook his hand or clutched his shoulder in appreciation, the trust of everyone slowly being brought unto him. This signal would only enhance his need to help and assist, it was almost as if he was meant to go on this mission, despite the arrogance and dismissal from the others.
"You all have showed me nothing but compassion and support, for that I am grateful, grateful to know that there are still souls out here in need of help. Citizens of Hage. You can rest easy knowing that I will protect you all, anytime you find yourselves in a bind be sure to send word for Hinokami Kasai. I know it'll be an adjustment the first few days but I ask you all to rejoice in the fact you have each other and your wholesome village still stands in the face of adversity. Before I go I also must ask that whenever you feel afraid, whenever you feel as if everything and everyone is against you. Look to the skies, for the sun shines brightest of all out of the stars. I ask you to be that shining sun, outshine all who would contain you. Outshine all who would endanger your goals, outshine yourself time and time again. Good evening Suns, shine bright on Hage today, tomorrow and for all of your existence" Hinokami's words were as powerful and heartfelt as always, staring into each and every person who was drawn to him in his momentary speech. After he had finished his last word came the almost battle cries of those around him, celebrating in his words as well as their actions, the mutual appreciation and admiration was a beautiful spectacle. Hino smiled and embraced them, one at a time with a graceful meaningfulness to it.
Standing on the broom he had gotten so fond of he waved goodbye to the amazing community, placing his hands together and bowing before Edward who'd repeat the action and wave him off. Hinokami flew upwards into the sky as he got in perfect position in front of the sun, grimoire exploding from it's position the pages flapped away as he usual Grisha Sword rose from its parchment scabbard. Gripping the handle he lifted it into the sky and allowed the flames to expand and pulse releasing waves of fire across himself and area, lighting up the sky for a brief moment as the cheers from below echoed to him. This was the start of true companionship, true peace was on the horizon. All he needed to do was jump-start it. Zipping back towards the capital Hinokami now knew what needed to be down, letting his hair flow in the wind he chuckled as his figure got smaller and smaller into the distance.
