Maybe it was failing too often, though more likely it was skimming too much from the actual money she was getting for herself, either way things like this could only be the fault of trying to work for someone else. That being they took offence when you left them to peruse something else. In this particular instance they had been mad enough that they had placed a non-insignificant bounty on her death. Kioshi dashed down alleyways she was already familiar with, the roof tops were too open even in the Rogue's refuge, she was being chased now, which is how she had come to the conclusion that she had a bounty on her now. She didn't know who they were, but she didn't need to either all she had to do was keep running. She maneuvered her grimoire trying to cut down on her impact, if they could see her it would be useless but she wasn't about to look back to check on weather or not she could see them. Her foot steps that had been lightly clicking and even splashing in small puddles silenced themselves.
The ally narrowed out ahead, she had to jump over a trashcan, to get to the end, next was a street but unfortunately or perhaps fortunately nobody was yet on it or they had all hunkered in for now. She had to pick where to run, left she couldn't think she had to just move get out of town, escape in to the Basin? No don't think just move.

Jin and herself had started to take tasks from the black market together, it would seem that someone hadn't been following the laws and the agents of Avarice hadn't taken too kindly to it. Where their titles were linked to greed, they refused to allow another to put their hands too deep into the cookie jar, especially when that jar was theirs. Aelia had been walking in the black market where she was looking to pick up a new task when the current agent of Avarice was speaking of a thief whose eyes got too big for their stomach so to speak. She had no idea what the metaphor meant but she continued listening, apparently, this mage was around her own power so it wouldn't be too hard and they would even pay for proof of her death. She normally didn't kill without reason, but, she knew she knew better than to deny a request from them.
She nodded and had taken the information to Jin so he could read it, it was information on their target and the pay that would be given. It wasn't a huge amount of yul but given the difficulty, it was more than fair. "New friend." she proclaimed happily hugging her grimoire showing she'd be taking the corpse into what she called her graveyard. Jin had been shown that her magic relied on claiming the bodies of dead people so this got them favour with the agents of Avarice while making Aelia stronger so there was no real downside to the pair. They knew that their enemy might not be powerful but that didn't mean they wouldn't be cunning or should be treated as any less dangerous than a strong mage. Finding out where she was going to be she said two simple words "Howling moon."
The moment it was said a pair of dire wolves stood at two meters tall and three meters from snout to the tip of their tails, their fur was a dark grey almost black colour and both have golden amber eyes that look almost feral. 'Hunt.' was the wordless command she gave to them, the moment they ran off she was quick after them knowing that Jin would be close behind. She had to wonder why the woman had tried to steal from them, there was plenty of work and other people to steal from so why people that could end your life. She didn't understand the desperation in regards to funds so it wasn't as if she could empathise with the woman. It wouldn't be too long before the wolves would have the bunkered up woman pinned within her hiding place growling. She felt sorry for her but the laws of the market were clear and so they would be her reapers.

Another night another assignment was given to Aeila and Jin. This time coming from a Agent of Avarice, they were a peculiar group. Not many knew allot about them. And it was clear that they liked to keep it that way. Jin didn't much mind where the work came from, as long as it was legit and the source could be trusted he didn't mind. But what did slightly bother him was the target they were assigned to kill. Jin had been raised to have no moral fetters to hold him back from being the perfect killer. He could take a life as easy as breathing as it was all just work to him. But even he had his limits, he did not like to women that were carrying a child nor did he like to kill the young and innocent. This target wasn't a child exactly, but their age was young. A bit to young for Jin's liking, but nevertheless they would get it done.
Aeila had claimed the target could in fact be a new friend for her, which was true. Anything they killed Aeila had the ability to bring them back as a wraith for her use. And the raven haired girl viewed all her wraiths as a growing family and friends, so it wasn't some cruel fate. In certain ways it was like a release. "Looks like it." Jin replied to her with a smile on his face. He wasn't his normal goofy self, but he knew if they didn't do it someone worse would see to it. So it had to be them.
In the depths of the Rogue's refuge with some search, they were able to find her general location. Aeila had summoned her wolves in order to help with the direct tracking from there. "Flauros." Jin activated his spell that increased his speed drastically and provided perfect illusionary clones of himself. He was running behind the wolves so they can track the target, but once the target was found he actually ran past them. Reaching behind him he grabbed hold of the dagger Aeila had gifted him. Life's Breath was held in his right hand with a reverse grip. His deep blue eyes locked onto the target, the information on her was correct she was young. Almost to young.
"Vephar." he activated another spell that increased his already impressive speed even further, and also summoned two ethereal blades made out of void energy that hovered in the air right beside him. The girl had a talent for sound magic as her fast foot steps made no sound, and used sound as well to increase her speed. She was but a simple thief who had stolen from the wrong people, it was a sad fate. But the same thoughts were on his mind, it was best they were assigned for the task. The Agents will not stop until the target is dead, and chances were if they sent someone else it could have been much worse. And if they failed in their task, it could also make them a target.
A hint of sadness could be seen in his eyes as he launched himself full speed towards the sound thief. He aimed one of the void blades to pierce her chest right where her heart was ending her life instantly do to the nature of his magic and the accuracy of where he aimed it, she would feel no pain as it happened. Her life would simply fade, if the blades hit. Jin would catching her body before it hit the ground would used two fingers and gently close her eyes. Then place the lifeless body on the floor gently, so Aeila could use her magic. His mind coming to the conclusion that he still very much was entangled in chains. This was not freedom.
Notes and Spells

Aimed a void blade to Kioshi's chest right where her heart is, if landed should end her life instantly. Causing no pain.
By taking this perk, your magic is able to push past the normal limits of your body's speed. When using a physical reinforcement spell that buffs your speed, you can increase it by an additional 5 m/s. At Grand rank, you can increase said spells by 10 m/s. (Note: these bonuses do not stack.)
The user can completely mask their mana signature and presence from anyone regardless of either's sensory stat or Ki abilities. This may last up to three posts before it is faded. This can be used twice a thread.
Description: Flauros is Jin's first illusion using the void. It is like his other beginning spells rather simple in concept, but was improved upon over time. Pressing his middle fingers and ring fingers together with both hands and utilizing void energy, Jin is able to create exact clones of himself and his allies throughout the battlefield tricking his enemies sight. That when attacked simply fade away into a dark blue mist. But he also discovered by coating himself in void energy, he can increase his speed, reactions, swiftness and velocity drastically. Having the clones act as after images to further trick the opponent. Also given his assassin and cold blooded nature, Jin can completely mask his mana signature and presence from anyone. Making it even more difficult to figure out who the real Jin is. With ammo rules, he can not only prevent his allies from being affected by the illusion but add versions of them into the illusion. Requirements to see through this illusion is 15 Sensory +2 for every 15 control the user has. Illusion's potency will naturally wane overtime, lowering the amount of sensory needed in order to see through them by 2 points per post they are sustained.

She could hear them, her assassin's magic the dogs chasing her as she ran they were the ones that had her alerted after all. Guessing at their numbers would do her no good only hope that they were behind her and not flanking at this point. She was running for fear, the fear of death, the fear of pain Fighting wasn't something she was suited to.
Dogs and men she could out run, or at least, that's what she thought. Her heart beat was loud if only to herself, it thumped between her thoughts. It wasn't a lack of thought but a assurance of her own skill that she didn't consider an assassin would be able to catch her in a full sprint. Thump But she couldn't shake it, almost as if the specter of death had already taken hold on her. Thump It was the open street, Thump it had to be giving too much of a field of vision Thump she needed to duck down another ally soon. Thump There just a house away she could turn again. Th- It was gone, she didn't feel anything her heart should have been pumping but was she even moving anymore? She couldn't have stopped, she wasn't caught? There was a dark closing on her vision but there was one thought that faded out last as the light left her eyes she was mouthing the words just like she did every time she tried to talk; Her last words remained silent "It doesn't hurt anymore"
The raven-haired wraith mage followed after her wolves, she wasn't as fast as them after all they had four legs to her two, she knew that Jin was close behind so didn't need to worry. This kind of work never really bothered her, she never chose her targets she just did what was needed without emotion regardless of how distasteful it would have been. This was how she had been raised, she had been emotionally stunted so that she wouldn't feel bad for the victims that she took the final breath away from, this was also how her magic got stronger. This was how she became more useful to the man she called father, since meeting Jin however she had started questioning some things. Not the ability to kill without feeling bad about it, that was just part of the job but how she was raised in general.
She pushed that thought to the back of her mind, this wasn't the time nor the place for such nonsense. Jin had arrived shortly after her and put the final blow on the woman, she looked to him. She understood this would have hurt their target less, her red spider lily started to glow showing that she had indeed taken her last breath. Like on the day the pair met she moved to her knees, placing down the glowing red flower and her grimoire "Come to my graveyard, we can play together forever." she said gently the grimoire's cover and pages opening the body of the woman's body glowing for a moment before it started to quickly almost decay and dissolve what looked like sparkling particles going into her grimoire before the grimoire closed as suddenly as it opened.
The woman's corpse was no longer anywhere to be seen her hands coming together as if she was praying. "For those that have come and gone, through love and strife, whether you are forgotten or remembered thanks are given to you all so we can continue our paths undisrupted." she whispered before picking up her grimoire, her flower now losing its glow. Picking up her grimoire and the red spider lily she stood and dusted herself off. "We report now." she said holding her grimoire tight to her, she knew that jin would rather it be in a satchel but it never would be, she would always hug it to her body. She did make the compromise to make sure the clover wasn't seen and kept the cover facing her, it was honestly the best that the male was going to get with her. She didn't see why the clover was so important but it meant a lot to the white-haired male so she complied. With that she moved away without another word, the wolves following her closely as if trying to keep her safe from whatever unknown danger there might be around.

The job was done, rather quickly as well. There was no need to make this process any longer than it had to be. The target was a young female, and she wasn't a fighter and also far from a killer. She was really no threat to anyone, but the task had to be done. Since he and Aeila were assigned to it, if they failed it would be them on the other side of someone's blade. For more than just a moment, Jin had felt for this young girl he had no problem taking a life. But even he as coldblooded as he was sometimes, even he didn't take well to killing young women especially if they were no particular threat to anyone.
But the white haired rogue had to remind himself there was no room for softness in this world. It would get you killed. His mother had to beat this into him time and time again, till he not only understood it but till it became apart of him. There was no going back, no escaping the life of a rogue that he was born into. He had to be cold, ruthless, cunning if he was going to survive in this world. But in the back of his mind, he wasn't just chasing survival he was chasing something else entirely.
Jin with a wave of his hand and put an end to his spells, and now watched Aeila perform her magic. He had seen her use it before, although it was from a distance. This was good opportunity to see it up close and how it really worked. Her magic was linked to her grimoire as all magic was, but hers seemed to be directly more reliant on it. Jin's own grimoire always remained hidden strapped to his lower back, and his black jacket covering it. When he used his spells it only gave off a feint dark purple hue, that never really got noticed. Jin was always pretty particular on hiding his grimoire and his magic from people, unlike lots of other mages he believed it was a weakness to show off your element to everyone. There was to much power in the unknown in his opinion.
Aeila said her chant of the body of the girl dissolved and turned to sparkling particles that gently faded into her grimoire. The book was open and then it quickly closed, and Aeila said her last prayer something she tended to do when acquiring a new wraith. After that she held her grimoire tightly to her chest and stated it was time to report now. "Right." Jin replied following behind her wolves.
