NOVA SILVA - Don't Test House Silva, You're Nothing in Comparison It was a regular day in the Town of Silva. Birds chirping and nobles walking up and down, going off to do their own thing. With The Silver Eagles Headquarters being in the town, the nobles shared it with the Magic Knight Squad which wasn’t much of a problem since the squad was run by The Head of The Silva anyway. Of the many members of the squad, Nova was asked to take a particular job, a babysitting job. Some noble family had things to do and the babysitter canceled at the last minute. The Silva male didn’t see how that was his problem. He was a magic knight, not some noble babysitter. Furthermore, he was a higher noble. He didn’t exactly care for those who he deemed beneath him. Even so, he was told that taking care of this child was important and he’d have to get to work. From what he heard, the child was an insufferable brat with a superiority complex. Who did this kid think he was? Either way, Nova was going to take the job if it meant he wouldn’t have to ever be asked to do such a job that he viewed as below him. After all, he was a higher nobility and such a job of child watching was for maids and servants. It was almost inconceivable but a job was a job.
As he was walking away from where he stood his name was called which made him turn to face the person who gave him the task. His ‘superior’ so to speak but Nova obviously didn’t view the man as such. To him, the man was temporarily above him due to rank but other than that he was a nobody, a nuisance and a pest. He was someone who Nova had in his sights to destroy as he rose through the ranks. Until that time, the young man had to act cooperative. When the right time came, Nova would take the position and either get rid of the man by banishing him or by trial by combat to the death where he would obviously kill him. He was a pompous idiot without any strength behind his name for such an attitude. It shouldn’t really surprise the Silva male as most of the members of the Silver Eagles that he was in contact with felt entitled however they were nothing and no one. They were pebbles to be crushed under the boot. Once he proved himself to be worthy of purpose, he would rid the squad of those who were undeserving. After all, he believed that the strong should have a say on what happens to the weak. “What is it? You’re wasting my precious time that I could be taking care of the child you oh so want me to watch. So, out with it! What can I do for you?”
The man walked up to Nova with a smile. “You will be accompanied by another squad member who’s eager to get her feet wet so to speak.” Nova scoffed at the man and folded his arms. “Not only do you want me to watch a brat, you expect me to babysit a new member to the squad? What do you take me for?! I’m royalty and you will treat me as such!” He was getting angry at his ‘superior’. How dare the man try to put another person on this. Did he think the task was too much for Nova? What an insolent fool that should be taken care of. “You will learn to watch your tongue! You are not royalty, not yet anyway. The Silva family may be of higher noble blood but if you want royalty, you would find that with the Ravencrest family.” To Nova, this man had a death wish. He would have to be going insane if he thought it was wise to speak to him in such a manner. “You dare disrespect the Silva name like that? The Silva family is the one true family. All the others are tainted, watered down by the mixing of lesser blood. This family is pure. You will learn your place one day, count on that.” Turning, Nova walked away from the man with a scowl on his face. He couldn’t believe the man would dare to say such things about the Silva family. To him, no other family truly mattered, not even the royal bloodline. The true royal family was the Silva! Not the idiotic Vermillion fire squad or the Ravencrest infections. His family! Marching loudly out of anger, he was half tempted to go to the captain of the squad, his very own blood. His cousin would surely understand that the man who was above Nova was unfit to lead greatness. He was not fit to be in charge especially when he needed to learn a thing or two about respect.
Feeling especially angry, Nova needed to take a breath. He couldn’t go take care of a child while being angry lest he may very well be tempted to throw the child off a balcony. Taking a few breaths, he walked out of the Silver Eagles Headquarters, slowly walking towards the place where he was expected to find the family. He wondered which fool would be selected to help him during his day of bratty child watching. When he finally arrived at the door, he took another breath. He knew of the child but didn’t really pay much attention to him. He had seen the boy while he traversed from the Silver Eagles HQ to his home and vice versa. Borat the Aristocrat. Such a stupid name for a child with no true aristocratic power. Nova found it totally ridiculous that the parents of the child thought they were really anything special. They were all beneath him yet he didn’t go around adding ridiculous suffixes to his name. It would sound like a desperate cry for attention: Nova The Amazing! Nova The Great! Regardless, he was ready for it to be over even though it hadn’t even begun. “I wonder, should I wait here for whoever that fool thinks I need to work with? I guess there is no harm in waiting on them.” WC: 1053 TWC: 1053

Mother and Father will be out for a few weeks. I'm in charge of keeping you all in check and making sure you don't mess around and embarrass the family. Continue with your duties as knights and we shouldn't really have a problem A voice as clear as a bell brought the attention of all the Santos children towards a towering figure. Catalina, the oldest child of the six siblings was more or less the third parent to the rest of the Santos children when their parents were away, which was frequent. Catalina like all the Santos children is a part of the magic knights, she is a prominent member of the Blue Rose Squad, and runs a popular cafe catered to women. Most of the siblings responded back to Catalina, most of the siblings respected and feared Catalina, Marina was not. Marina..I know I won't have any problems with you as far as your knightly duties, but I also ask that you specifically not be so hard on the help. We can't keep losing them and covering up for your beatings. The last girl nearly died... Are you listening?
Catalina's voice dragged with the annoyance of a typical older sibling who knew they weren't getting through to their younger sibling. Marina was spoiled and when in the comforts of the home she couldn't help but show that. She had heard her sister of course but she didn't really feel like answering her right away, her mind was too busy thinking about her new position in the Silver Eagles. Being the youngest and having that little sick scare she was the only way late getting into the knights as far as members of her family went. I heard you Catalina, but it's really not my fault that we can't get good help these days. I am not at fault for the poor work these peasants put in. Reaching for her cup of tea, she took a sip of the liquid that was supposed to be hot. Of course, she knew that the tea wouldn't have been hot, not after sitting for so long in front of her untouched. Did she deliberately let it get cold? Of course, she did. A sickly sweet smile played on her lips as she reached for the little bell to call in a servant. Everyone in the room knew what would happen next but Catalina was quick to snatch the bell away. I think it's time for you to perform your duties as a Knight. I set up a mission for you to do. If you don't want to be the laughing stock of your guild I suggest you go do it. You'll find the instructions and everything else you need to know about it in your room. Catalina gave her sister a stern look while Marina returned a soft smile at her sister before rising from her seat and exiting the dining area.
Beams of sunlight danced around Marina's room as she went through her closet to get dressed. According to the little letter her sister left her she would be working with another member of the Silver Eagles, and they both would be working with a child. Usually, she would dress in light colors but kids were messy little creatures so she was forced to pick out a simple dark blue pleated dress which she paired with a pair of navy blue stockings and black mary jane shoes. Taking a look at herself in the mirror and making sure she was as close to perfect as one could be before leaving out into the world, Marina made sure to say goodbye to her siblings and ignore any servant that passed by her. It looked like her work would be done in the Town of Silva. It certainly wasn't a place she visited often, in fact, this would be the third time she ever visited it. Marina imagined that would change now that was a member of the Silver Eagles and her time would probably be spent in and around its headquarters quite a lot.
Once inside the town, she quickly got word that her partner would be someone named Nova Silva. She was given a description of who he was and was pointed in the last direction that he was seen. Practically gliding towards where she was told her Silver Eagles comrade went, it didn't take very long before he was in her sights. Putting on the sweetest smile she walked up to him and gave a small curtsy. Marina was a lot of things but she was not stupid. She knew of the Silva, mostly everyone knew about the Silva. She was beneath them in every way, and with that knowledge, it wouldn't do her any good in pissing one off, so she played her part accordingly. Hello. I believe I am working with you today. She felt annoyed doing as much as she was and she was practically rolling her eyes on the inside at this point. All she could really hope for was that this little babysitting job would go by quickly and without any issues so she could go back home and get her hands on some unfortunate soul who was sure to mess up some impossible task she would give them. Even the thought of it brought joy to her and now she had something to look forward to.
NOVA SILVA - Don't Test House Silva, You're Nothing in Comparison As Nova waited, he grew tired. He was quite impatient when it came to waiting on others and he didn’t enjoy that feeling. He was a higher noble and that usually meant waiting on servants to do things such as bring him his food, take away the food because it wasn’t the right temperature, bring the food back, bring him something to drink, bring him anything he requested and the list went on. Whoever this girl that wanted to get her feet wet wasn't off to a good start with Nova. To be fair, Nova found fault in everyone around him even if they didn’t do anything. The mere fact that they existed was reason enough to look at their shortcomings and use that to prove why he was better than they were. Being raised by the arrogant powerhouse his father was didn’t help with that development either. Crazy thing was, Nova even found fault with his father. If he could have his way, he’d fight his father to the death and toy with him before killing him. He despised the man for how he treated his mother, a true strong woman even though she was born a lesser noble. She showed true strength and that’s what mattered to Nova and due to the fact that his own father couldn’t see that was despicable. His father hardly even visited her when she was sick and on her deathbed, something that fueled Nova’s hate for the man even more. Even so, he couldn’t act on that hatred yet. There was still a very long way to go before he could pull enough strings to orchestrate a fight to the death in which he would destroy the man.
When the other Silver Eagle arrived, Nova looked up to her, taking note of her sky blue hair first and then the way she was dressed. He could see that she had noble blood in her but that wasn’t enough to impress him. Next he noticed the smile she put on her face. It was interesting to see someone smiling in his direction. It was as if she was happy to meet him; however, he was not exactly happy to meet her. He didn’t care for those he viewed as under him and she clearly was under him. The only way that would change was if she showed him that she too was powerful. When she got in front of him, she curtsied like she thought she was some princess. True, it was polite for a noble to do these things and it could be seen as her showing him respect as women didn’t bow, they curtsied. She was a pretty lady, he could admit that but he’d never say it. Nova wasn’t one to give out compliments even when they were well earned. He’d prefer to look for the fault and tell someone the things that were wrong with them. When she spoke, he found her voice to be rather annoying. Maybe he was just looking for some fault with her and finding no immediate fault; her voice was a target. He’d mentally ignore this while he continued to search. ”They really considered you? Pathetic! You clearly haven’t been taught how to address higher nobles. Fine then, I’ll educate you on this since it would only annoy me if you don’t address me properly in the future. Firstly, you start with the greetings and salutation. Secondly, you address the person directly. Thirdly, if the person is now meeting you for the first time, you give your name and further to that, if you do not know theirs, you politely ask them for it. Did you manage to get all of that?” He was already angry from the events that happened prior to her arrival and she only added to it with her insolent greeting. ”If you’re wondering how to address a higher noble, you use Sir or Lady unless they’re the head of the family or the heir in which you’d address them as Lord or again, Lady. Now before we go in to see this brat, you will address me properly, state your name and then we would be on our way so I could get this stupid job over with.” He folded his arms as he waited for her to try again. Greeting other nobles and knowing how to greet them was a basic thing that was usually taught to all nobles one way or another even if that way was by facing a noble elitist such as Nova. He didn’t care about many things when it came to lesser people but when it came to how he was addressed, then that was important enough for him to care a lot.
After their little introductory session on the outdoors, Nova would knock before entering the house. After walking in, he’d notice just how messy the place was. It was probably due to the brat they were going to be watching. As the parents of the child walked to the front of the house where Nova stood, with his arms folded, they looked at him pleased. It was as if they were glad that he was about to spend the next couple of hours being tortured by their brat. ”Anything I need to know about Borat before you two take off?” Nova was short and to the point. He didn’t see a reason to start a conversation with them with all the greeting nonsense. He wanted to know the important details and get the job over with and who could blame him for that? “Our precious son likes chocolate and sweets. He likes his food done balanced, not too hot or too cold. No allergies to anything. I think that’s about it. Thank you for agreeing to take care of him as a substitute for the babysitter.” Nova’s tolerance was low and from the way they described Borat, he could tell that he would feel like throwing the kid off the second or third floor balcony. Be that as it may, this was a mission and he was going to do his best since he was representing the Silver Eagles and also House Silva. ”Very well. You may leave your child with us.”
After the parents left, the boy ran out and immediately kicked Nova in the leg, laughing before running off. Feeling fully frustrated, he was ready to act on that anger but knew that he ultimately couldn’t. Instead he released a heavy sigh. ”I hate noble child watching.”

Her smile didn't break as she listened to the words spewed at her. The words that spoke down on her like she was incompetent, and not even worth the time to use those words to explain all the things she did wrong in the very short moments of her being in Nova's presence. On the inside she was practically on fire, a thousand and one ways that this bastard died played in her head like a movie on fast forward. Her hands ached as every part of her, every nerve, every god damned cell wanted to wrap their delicate fingers around his neck just so she could watch the life slip from his eyes. Marina knew very well how the Silva were as a people, they sat so high on their horses that they couldn't see anyone but themselves as an equal. In her nineteen years of living she didn't think she'd actually meet someone who was willingly to talk down to her like this. A reality check is what they called it, unfortunately for Nova she didn't let things like this go, she would get him back somehow for trying to make her feel small. Yes, trying because she wasn't about to let this silver haired fuck knock her off her own high horse.
Reeling it in mentally she didn't display any traits that would give what she was feeling on the inside, she didn't allow that part of her to surface in any way. Marina now knew what she would be dealing with in the future and she needed to be damn certain that she could take it all. A part of her hoped the rest of the individuals in the Silver Eagles squad wasn't as insufferable as the man that stood before her. She didn't know if she could keep taking this sort of verbal abuse without cracking like an egg. The facade she had built for so long, the beautifully intricate mask that she displayed for the world to see over the years, well it was threatened to be cracked by this asshole. Inside she laughed, calling the kettle black wasn't something she ever thought she'd be doing today but it seems she'd met her match on some level. Being in a town literally called the Town of Silva she couldn't make any outwards move anyway against the silva she would be working with right now. If he spoke like this to everyone though it would be nice to see him run into someone who truly does not care, and perhaps give him a good slap across the mouth.
Straightening up and looking Nova in the eyes she lessened her smile but never let it fade. Her blue eyes shined and danced with light as she took him in. Marina didn't know if she hated him just yet, he did annoy her greatly so much so that she wanted to choke him, but he didn't gain her hatred today. I apologize. Hello Sir Nova, my name is Marina Santos. Please forgive my insolence as I assure you it's not likely to happen again. Her words came out like a gentle stream, clear and sweet with an air of submissiveness to appease Nova. Around them, both people went too and fro and she couldn't for a second make herself seem like the aggressor. She played on people's emotions and to see someone like Nova treating someone like Marina the way he was would garner some disappointing looks from at least some people. Yes people knew how the Silva were as far as their attitude went, but one would think with that sort of noble standing that they didn't constantly act in such a manner that would be arrogant towards their fellow noble, regardless of noble standing. It was no wonder why they would never be considered royalty, they would be tyrants if people like Nova were running the show.
Once the two had gotten that little song and dance out of the way, Nova led the two to what would likely be the worst job the two would ever take. Marina made sure to walk in after Nova, right behind him at all times. The two were greeted by the parents of the child they would be watching, their home a mess beyond what she be acceptable for a noble. Did these people not have maids? She understood not having their caretaker around but was that person also responsible for keeping the home clean? Did they just not have multiple people for multiple jobs around the home? Marina couldn't fathom living in those sort of conditions, to limit oneself to that sort of peasant-like torture. The parents spoke to Nova who asked if they needed to know anything regarding the child. Not only did they not really explain much, they had the audacity to only tell them what he liked. This child was given everything he wanted and probably nothing he needed. Sweets and chocolate? This kid was gonna run up the walls with that amount of sugar running through him if that's all they gave him. Marina knew this wasn't going to be fun.
Watching as the parents left and closing and locking the door behind them Marina turned around just in time to see Borat appear from seemingly nowhere, kick Nova, and then run off again. She was wrong. This was going to be more fun than she could imagine if he was going to pull things like that towards Nova. Keeping herself composed as she laughed on the inside, Marina walked further into the house. They had to find that child before he hurt himself or worse. Carefully stepping over toys, she began to call out to the child. Oh Borat, come on back out. I have chocolate. Slipping into the pocket of her dress she produced a small piece of chocolate that was neatly wrapped up. She wasn't ashamed to admit that she took liked the sweet milky flavor of chocolate so this would serve as perfect bait to get the boy to do what she wanted.

NOVA SILVA - Don’t Test House Silva, You’re Nothing in Comparison When the woman before him heard his scolding she straightened up her body as if she was being drilled by a military officer. She looked him directly in the eye which impressed the man due to it showing that she wasn’t fully insolent and also that she wasn’t exactly too terrified to look him in the eyes when he spoke. She apologized first and foremost which Nova saw as important. She then addressed him as Sir Nova which was acceptable even though the correct address would have been Sir Silva. She then introduced herself as Marina Santos. The Santos family wasn’t very well known to the man but even so he could tell she was some level of nobility. She then begged for forgiveness and promised to never do it again. She gave her assurance of such. Nova looked down at her straight in the eye, not changing his facial expression, leaving it as neutral as possible. ”Very well. I will accept that however the true way to address me would have been Sir Silva since we are not exactly on a first name basis. Even so, I think the fact that you looked me directly in the eyes as you offered up your apology meritted for something. As a result, you and only you are allowed to address me as Sir Nova. I am not exactly familiar with your family Miss Santos but either way I don’t care much about that. As for not letting it happen again, ensure that you don’t. Now then, shall we go inside and meet this child?” Ugh, Miss Santos. He was disgusted by ever letting those words out of his mouth. From that moment, he swore to himself that he would address her by her first name without honorifics. After all, he was a Silva. The honorifics should go to him, not come from him.
Borat ran back towards Nova going to kick his leg again but this time he was met by the man moving, making the kid fall. ”Are you done now? Good. Now sit down and behave yourself. You should feel honored that a Silva decided to take this job instead of someone else. They’d probably impale you by now.” He grabbed the boy by the shirt to lift him off the ground and placed him back on his feet. “Now that we have that out of the way, it’s time to figure out what to do with you. Let’s start with this.” Nova walked into the kitchen and took up a bar of chocolate and walked back to the place where he placed the boy to sit. He handed Borat the chocolate bar and folded his arms directly after.”Here you go. That should satisfy you for a while.” While the boy ate the chocolate, Nova sighed, turning his attention to Marina. ”Now onto you, what if the child doesn’t like that particular brand of chocolate? Have you thought of that? These are things you have to think of. Since you’re giving it up, I will take it.” The Silva male took the chocolate from Marina and opened it, taking a bite out of it. ”I guess this chocolate isn’t too bad. Next time you have to work with me, walk with more of this.” He took a seat next to Borat enjoying the treat he took from his partner. There wasn’t much to do while waiting for the next thing to happen with the boy.
After the boy finished his chocolate bar, he went and washed his hands before walking back to the couch. Once there he sat down and was quiet for 5 minutes. This quiet period wasn’t exactly him being good. This was his time to come up with a plan on how he was going to torture two Silver Eagle Magic Knights. He had an opportunity of a lifetime and he sure as well wasn’t going to pass that up. Who should I target first, The Silva man or the woman who had offered me chocolate? The problem with targeting the Silva was that he was playing with fire. After all, they were living in the town of Silva and that could have some consequences of its own. Did that change anything? NO because who cares about consequences anyway. I am Borat and I get what I want. Let’s make these two do what I want! The boy got up and lit the bottom of Nova’s garments on fire with what little magic power he could produce. It wasn’t a spell but he was able to release some level of fire from his hand.
Feeling the fire at the bottom of his garments, Nova stood up ready to open his grimoire and make his golden sword to cut the boy to pieces however he knew he couldn’t. Instead, he used his hand to put out the little flame. As he was about to grab Borat, the child dashed off and hid behind Marina, using her as a shield. "You're not going to hit a woman, are you?" To make matters worse, he grabbed her skirt and tugged on it hard trying to either embarrass the woman by having her show the goods or make her fall over. The boy was conniving and ready to destroy the two adults who were tasked with watching over him. Chuckling and laughing, he ran off to hide, knocking over some of his toys to create more confusion. He wanted to hide and leave the two Magic Knights to get through his maze of toys. "Haha Haha! You can't catch me! LOSERS!"
Feeling pissed off, Nova was planning and taking the child and actually tossing him off the upper floor balcony. The brat set his clothes on fire which was a huge mistake. Even if he couldn’t punish Borat, he probably could find enjoyment in making the entire family suffer once they were back. He needed to have some form of compensation for this. His clothes weren’t normal, they were custom made for him with the use of silk. Feeling annoyed, he let out an exasperated sigh.

NOVA SILVA - Don’t Test House Silva, You’re Nothing in Comparison With the way Borat was, Nova had to try his calmest to remain calm. Although he wanted to punish the boy, and trust that he would, it wasn’t his place to. It was more of a hassle than anything else. This noble brat had no proper upbringing which was not a good look on his parents. They should all be taught a valuable lesson on why they should learn reverence. How dare this brat do this to Nova in the Town of Silva? The man who had given the mission to Nova and Marina clearly had it out for him. Was this some level of punishment for Nova’s bluntness and blatant disregard in the past? Whatever the case, Nova had to finish taking care of Borat so he could bring the matter up to his cousin, The Silver Eagles Captain, Nicodemus Silva. Clearly his ‘superior’ needed to be taught his place. The only person Nova should answer to was Nicodemus himself. The squad didn’t even have a vice-captain. That was a position Nova could take but he also could go straight for the crown itself and challenge Nicodemus for the captain position. What a marvelous sight to behold that would be. Two Silvas showcasing Natural Talent in a match to take over.
Borat hid until he found the perfect moment to get the jump on Nova. The boy dashed and tried to kick his leg and set his clothes ablaze simultaneously however, he felt something holding him back. Both Nova and Marina were in front of him so what could be holding him? As he looked back, he could see a golden hand holding his shirt. “Put me down! Put me down this instant or I will tell my parents that you abused me!” Surely a bluff of such magnitude was bound to work, right? Everyone else he tried it on bowed to his will so it was fool proof. There is no way that they would keep him from getting what he wanted when he could play any of those threatening cards.
“No, I will not put you down.” Nova walked closer and gave the boy a cold stare. “It’s kids like you that make it bad for other nobles. You don’t even belong to a main house yet you threaten one and burn his clothes? These are serious crimes that once I tell my captain about you and your family will be dealt with accordingly which means you lose all the things you love. This nice little home you have built in my town will be given to someone else who deserves it and you will never again get what you want.” The look in the adult male’s voice was one of seriousness. This wasn’t a bluff but something he would actually do, not caring of the end result. “Now, you will stop hitting and kicking and burning things or so help me I will throw your family out of this town and into the commoner realm.”
After Nova saw that the boy understood, he placed the child onto the couch. Borat, afraid of what would happen to him if he was on the bad side of Nova, kept quiet until the return of his parents. Once they returned, Nova got up and left, not wanting to speak with them since he had half the mind to throw them out and charge them for the costs of his special clothing. Either way, his mission was done and he was free to go to Nicodemus and state his case. He was never going to be noble child watching again.
