[attr="class","echotemp] Echo sat within the woods of the Forsaken region, hiding just out of sight within the treelike next to the road. He was joined by none other than Zeus who had joined him for the purpose of keeping him safe, as that was his job. They had been waiting on a road not too far off from the town of Hage. Echo had gotten word that many merchants and other travelers used this road to move through the region. Echo wanted a reason to draw out magic knights to the area so he could have his way in killing them, so he would have to cause a bit of ‘noise’ to make them feel like it was worth coming out. His plan was to kill some of the people traveling the road and let word get back to the town, hopefully from there word would get to the magic knights and they would send out some people to help. However hoping for such a thing was pretty silly seeing as how Echo normally thought the magic knights were useless. [break][break] As the two sat within the treelike waiting Zeus would say to Echo “How long do we gotta sit here and wait? It seems like we could have picked a better idea for this.” Echo would scoff before saying “No this is perfect! When the magic knights come thru here patrolling days from now looking for bandits it will be an easy ambush point, just trust me Zeus.” Just as Echo would finish talking the sound of an horse drawn carriage would be heard in the distance headed down the road towards them. It was at this point where Echo would don the mask and special cloak he had made for him and Zeus for the occasion. The cloak was pitch black with low hanging hood, helping to cover the face of the person wearing it. While the mask were plain white mask with nothing but a lightning bolt going down the right eye. [break][break] Once Echo and Zeus were both ready wearing their identity concealing gear they would pounce out from the treeline with Echo yelling to the carriage saying “Stop the carriage and raise your hands and get out before I just waste all of you right now!”

[attr="class","echotemp] After Echo ordered the carriage driver to stop he would do so immediately, before he would dismount the transport and the people within the private cabin would also get out with their hands held high into the air. Zeus would emerge from the treelike where they were hiding so that he could begin to tie up the hostages. Once the hostages were tied up and sat on the side of the road, Echo would draw his wakizashi before saying “So which of you lovely nobles is in charge here? If nobody answers me I will just kill all of you now, so lets not make this hard.” [break][break] The hostages that sat on the side of the road consisted of the carriage driver, along with a family of nobles which was 4 adults and 1 child. Echo would look to the child seeing just how scared they were at the current situation, before he would let out a sigh. He would walk over to the child as all the adults sat quietly. He would grab the small boy by his shirt collar lifting him into the air with one hand and pointing his wakizashi at the boy and looking at the 4 adults. [break][break] “So if nobody wants to talk I guess I can start by killing this little guy here.” Zeus would look at Echo with a look of almost pleasure from under the hood of the cloak and his mask as he thought to himself *Yes… he is finally giving into those dark urges that the collector always said he had. I knew I was right to get paired up with this kid!* Zeus was about to speak but was soon interrupted by the adult male hostage from the back of the carriage as he yelled out “Wait! Thats my son please don’t kill him, you can have whatever you want! Is it money you want?? If you let us all go I will give you all the money you two can carry please just leave him out of it he is just a boy!” [break][break] Echo would smile under the mask before he would drop the boy onto the ground, before he would begin walking towards the adult male. Echo would laugh before saying “Nah you got it all wrong I don’t care about your money, we got enough of that. I just wanted to see who would crack first out of the group of you. Sadly the first person to crack is gonna be the first person to die so I wish you a blessed after life…” As Echo finished his sentence he would plunge his sword into the heart of the man, he would then pull out the blade as he watched the man’s body fall to the ground creating a pool of blood.

[attr="class","echotemp] After the man had been killed he would go back to the boy looking him in the eyes before saying “I want you to grow up one day and see how rotten and disgusting this world really is ok? I want you to grow strong one day so you can come back and kill me for destroying everything you love the way im about to do ok?” Of course the boy could not see his eyes nor could he see his face, behind the black hood and white mask. Echo would then look to Zeus before saying “E2 kill the wife and the adult daughter, we don’t need them either I think I found a new hobby!” It was a little bit sickening to be fair, but Echo found a bit of enjoyment turning this kid into an orphan. He knew such hatred within the right person would take root and blossom, and he hoped that one day he could create a monster far more menacing than himself. [break][break] After he was given the order Zeus was a bit confused at first due to the name Echo called him but he quickly realized it was just code so that the boy would not hear their real names. After realizing this small fact he would nod before walking over and taking his blade and sliding both of the women’s throats with a single slash of his blade. He would then flick the blade to remove any blood that may be remaining on the object. He would refrain from verbal communication as he knew that his accent had not yet gone, and so if he spoke the fact he was a foreigner would be easily found out. [break][break] Once the deed was done the small boy would watch as the bodies of his mother and elder sister dropped to the ground next to his father’s. Echo would watch along with him before laughing and asking the boy “Now how does that make you feel?” The boy would scream in Echo’s face before trying to run off, but he had gotten nowhere far as Echo would grab him and yank him back after only 3 steps. Echo would laugh some more as the boy was yanked backwards and onto the ground. “Relax my boy, im not gonna kill you but you gotta do me a favor in order for that not to happen.” [break][break] As Echo spoke the boy sat in the ground weeping and crying. He was clearly in a state of severe shock after watching his whole family killed in front of him, but he seemed to somehow still be holding on to reality, a sign that he was mentally strong for someone so young. Echo would begin speaking again saying “First off what’s your name kid?” The boy would hold his tears for a few moments before saying “Bismark Lamperouge…” Echo would then say “Well Bismark we will let you live and take you to the closest town if you do one small favor for us. When we take you to town and you go tell whoever about your parents being gone you gotta tell them none of the truth. Tell them you got attacked, they helped you get away, and you don’t know what happened to them after that. Can you do that for me?”

[attr="class","echotemp] After Echo had given the boy his conditions for letting him live, the boy would begin to try and hold back his tears and runny nose before responding. Wiping the revenants of already fallen tears from his face, and the last bit of snot from his nose the boy would reply saying “Yes… I can do that if it means I get to live…” Echo would smile under his white mask and was about to say something to the boy, but he was interrupted when Zeus had came over and tapped his shoulder. [break][break] Echo would turn to face his cousin and when he did he would simply see the man pointing. He was pointing over towards the last remaining adult from the carriage, the driver of all people. Echo would look over at the carriage driver and laugh before saying “You were so silent this whole time I almost forgot you were here sir. Now what do I do with you? Well actually I have to kill you sooooo do you wanna do this easy or hard?” The carriage driver would look to Echo and Zeus saying “PLEASE SIR DONT KILL ME I WONT TELL ANYONE!!! PLEASE JUST LET ME LIVE!!!” Echo would shake his head before saying “You cry and beg for your life? Stare death in the face like a real warrior! But no you’re just a spineless coward…” [break][break] Echo would then summon forth a ball of light from his grimoire before he would take hold of said ball and crush it in his hands. Although one could not see it because of his current attire, but his body was now covered with white scale like magic markings showing that his physical reinforcement spell was now active. With his spell active he would go and slowly walk over to the man before picking him up by the neck with one hand. Echo would squeeze tighter and tighter upon the man’s neck as he said “Cowards like you don’t deserve to live! You stand for something or fall for anything, and today my friend you have fallen prey to my hunt!” As he choked the man he would begin to squirm and cough showing he could not catch his breath. [break][break] The actions currently going on scared the small boy he was clearly not enjoying what was going on. He would look to Zeus with tears beginning to run down his eyes again before Zeus would take the boy by the hand and begin to walk away with him, to take him to the next town. As the two walked away from the sight of Echo choking the man to death Zeus would finally begin to speak saying to the boy “When I take you to town don’t listen to what he said, just tell them that you were left alone in your family’s cottage and they never came back last night. If you are asked anything else just say you don’t know understand?” The boy would look up at Zeus as they walked before saying “Ok…” and with that the two would disappear into the night, heading towards whatever the closest town was. [break][break] Meanwhile Echo was still choking the man, even though he noticed Zeus walk off with the boy. He knew that Zeus was more than likely just taking the boy to safety so he didn’t bother to stop him, besides he didn’t want the boy to witness anymore bloodshed. As Echo looked at the man he could see the last bit of life slowly fading from his eyes, and so he would decide to end it now. Using his overpowered fist he would squeeze tight as he could and crushed the man’s throat before dropping his body to the ground. Now that everyone was dead Echo would begin to dress up the scene, hoping the magic knights would be dispatched and find it. [break][break] To dress up the scene and make it look like the work of bandits Echo would scatter the bodies around the carriage. He would kill the horse to make sure it didn’t wander off and pull the carriage away from the scene. After the bodies were scattered and the horse was killed he would take anything valuable from the carriage and off the bodies, making it look more like a robbery gone wrong rather than the act of a serial killer. After this was done Echo would head off into the night fleeing the scene hoping that he would get the reaction he wanted from the magic knights.

[attr="class","echotemp] Echo had actually walked off towards the closest town where he would find Zeus and the boy. Echo had halted his advance from some distance away so the two were unknowing that he was there. The red headed teen watched as Zeus would release the boy’s hand as they stood in front of what looked like some sort of guard station. Zeus would then quickly bolt off leaving the boy to do what he had been told. Even if the boy disobeyed they were at very little risk, as their identities besides their voices had been concealed the whole time. [break][break] As Zeus ran off to wherever he was going Echo too would also run off, heading towards his cousin to cut him off in his path. As the two would intersect they would both stop and stare each other down for a moment before Echo would say “Come on we are heading back home.” Zeus would simply nod as his form of acknowledge meant before Echo would run off, and he would follow. The two would then run off into the forest running towards the Jaegar Estate. [break][break] [Exit] [break][break]
