The history of the Von Schurke family has mostly been removed from written documentation due to their background dealings with rogues and enemies of the Clover Kingdom. Starting with Jorah’s four generations old ancestor, Damian, the roots of authority have always been strong. Damian looked to take over Clover and was even at one point and time a single step away from staging a coup, yet he was thwarted by a then ally in return for amnesty. Escaping Clover for fifty years he started to build his family, taking on a false name to rebuild his image. A line of Imitation magic was born with the next generation, allowing for the re-insertion of the family into clover.

Upon two generations of upbringing the family branched out, amassing power and creating unrest under the guise of “The Forsaken Hand”. Demon and occult worship began to spread within the family, creating divisions and eventually the family became fractured once again. This time the birth of Jorah’s grandfather signaled a new revival of the family made primarily of imitation mages. They blended with society and Gregory Von Schurke took it upon himself to bring the family back together, creating a pseudo organization in which he was the sole power, wielding absolute clarity and having charisma he eventually created a house where the family could live and begin their planning with proper teaching of the family magic.

After generations of regrowth, the family was found out for their demon worship and their plans to dethrone and take over the kingdom. Resulting in the destruction of the original Von Schurke family estate. Jorah was the only known survivor of the ordeal and now he resides in an orphanage he had “procured” from a rather unsavory individual and converted it into his own home base, taking it upon himself to be the actual figure that would finish what his family had originally started many generations ago. The Von Schurke family extends an olive branch to the downtrodden, the abused, and the forgotten in an attempt to gain their allegiance through kindness. Those that “prove” themselves worthy are then put to the test of Jorah’s own design...those that pass earn the last name of Von Schurke. Jorah implemented a plan of only accepting the most gifted into his trusted circle and of those only ten would be considered a “TRUE” member of the family with their own title.
