After dealing with the "Slave Transitioning Station", or forward slave camp, you come to find out that there is another larger slave camp to the north. This place however has been walled off using remnants of ships, has a lot more slavers present and appears to be where the "Sea Witch" has taken up residence. Destroy the camp and the slavers, free the slaves and put an end to the Sea Witch! Note: The Sea Witch fights alongside her slavers, be sure to represent this in the thread.

[break]Additional Information: Unlike the male slavers, the female has a more humanoid form. While her lower body is still that of a sea serpent, her upper body is in many ways similar to that of an adult woman, save for the fact that she does not have a skin but rather has scales.
Jin reported back to the summoner all that heard from the serpent humanoids he dealt with, there was no reason to withhold information either. His objective was the same as hers free the slaves and put an end to this threat. In the back of his mind he did enjoy the lack of pressure these kind of jobs had, not that they weren't completely life threatening all on their own. But doing the less tasteful jobs that a rogue does had allot more risk involved but for him that's where the fun came in. Tasks like this were different but welcome change of pace.
From the looks of it she was still in the middle of talking to her share of enemies, and she took out quite a few with minimal effort it looked like. A few different golems made of different elements were around them, all under her complete control. Jin had some knowledge on golem magic, his dagger being a host for a singular golem spell of his own. But what she had was on another tier itself. Jin handed her his spear when she asked for it and she used it for a branding tactic, Jin looked slightly shocked as it was rare for a magic knight to use such a method. Though he had seen worse. If she wasn't here he would just killed them all after getting the information he needed. But in the end Verena granted them her kindness hopefully they make the most of it.
She stated simply it was time for them to go and move on, no the only question was travel. But not before he corrected some past mistakes. "Most definitely! But I realize I did not introduce myself in the best way!...Earlier! Uumm. So please allow me to do so now. My name is Junken, Jun for short. I get a little nervous before missions like this and sometimes I can be a little to focused. I hope we can work well together!" Jin said in a earnest and sincere voice, giving a slight bow.
Now that was out the way, he started to scratch the back of his head and chuckle a little bit. "Haha. Can I ask one of your golems for a ride? Haha."

If Verena was forced to kill, she wanted it to serve a purpose. As harsh as it probably was, if she was to kill these creatures here and now, nothing would change. She very much doubted they were important to their Queen. It was obvious they were just low-ranking peons. Though they could cause some trouble, they weren't important enough. It wouldn't solve the larger issue.[break][break]
Verena wasn't happy about having to do this. It brought her no pleasure in branding these creatures like this. However, when one's "freedom" impeded upon another, then actions were to be taken. That was the very concept of law and order. Of justice. As both a Royal and Magic Knight, it was her obligation --no, her duty-- to uphold that. The fact was people were getting hurt or worse. That was why she was here to begin with.[break][break]
Verena blinked a bit when Junken introduced himself. She could tell that it was an Eastern name, but past that she knew very little about it. However, she had very limited knowledge of the east, only knowing bits and pieces from Satori. Truthfully, she didn't expect an introduction at all. If there was a lack of an introduction when she had done so, she assumed that he simply wish to keep it private, and the situation didn't exactly call for her to pry.[break][break]
"No, no, it's fine. You needn't be nervous, not with spearmanship like yours," Verena said, smiling softly at the man. "You're much stronger than I am, in fact."[break][break]
The truth was even using the spear to brand those animals required all of her strength just to lift it. Her "branding" was crude and clearly lacked control. It was obvious that physically speaking, the Reinsberg was sorely lacking. The potion Lydia gave her helped, but she was still not really used to using weapons at all.[break][break]
Still, her training with Lydia and the potion at least let her pretend she could keep up with an average mage. Verena was grateful for that opportunity. "Jun, right? It's better to be hyper-focused. I can relate to that. But know that it can be dangerous, too. Try to relax and take a deep breath, okay?" she said, offering a smile.[break][break]
Despite her words, Verena could tell that, at least on some level, Jun was lying about the nervousness. While it was true he was focused, not once did he seem to tense up, a common thing when hyper-focusing. On some level, Jun was attentive. However, she wasn't really wanting to question it. As a golem user, Verena knew about strength in numbers. And both mages likely knew about the gap between them.[break][break]
If the reason for his lack of sharing his name was a lie, then this name was probably a lie, too. The exact reason for lying about his name was far more suspicious than choosing not to say anything. But it wasn't guaranteed that he was lying about his name, either, even if it was likely.
However, if Jun was going to lie, she would too. Lying by omission. Something that she had been doing to the people closest to her for quite some time now. Right now, Verena was at least sure that they had the same agenda: to save these enslaved people and bring an end to the serpents trade. If Jun tried doing anything that jeopardized that, she would handle that then and there.[break][break]
Still, even if she suspected something, Verena made sure not to expose it the unlikely chance she was wrong. A sincere smile, words of encouragement. While she had been more mechanical when they had first met, she was certain that the white-haired male could hold his own when it came to it, and so she herself could relax a little bit now as well, even if she was careful to keep an eye on him.[break][break]
Verena looked off into the distance, where their destination was ahead. "Summoner Creation Magic: Kikka" she chanted.[break][break]
The brunette's grimoire shined within her coat pocket, as two golems manifested upon her finishing the spells name. Though it possessed the body of a bird, both golems possessed something eerily resembling a human face. Four bright blue eyes that were sewn onto the golem's face seemed to stare right at Jun as if warning him. As if preemptively judging him.[break][break]
"I apologize, this is the only golem I have capable of flight that's less likely to draw attention," Verena expressed. "It's not as fast as I'd like it to be, unfortunately, either. However, it will get us from point a to point b, but we won't be able to take them right into their hideout. I'll need to send in another golem for that to perform recon."[break][break]
With that little explanation, Verena had each golem prostrate themselves before Jun and herself, allowing them to be rid upon. From there, it was a simple matter of using each golem to take them to the location that Jun had mentioned to her, relying on him to give her a bit of instruction. His ability to understand them would prove invaluable in proceeding further, most likely.

[attr="class","verenaver2scroll2"] TL;DRIntermediate Spell: 20[break] Mana Regen (Active because of Quick Charger): 55 [break][break]
Element: Cloth[break]Rank: Intermediate[break]Size: Up to 6 meters tall[break]Mana Cost: 20 | 10[break]Type of Golem: Balanced[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems, Fierce Golems[break]Description: Upon saying the name of the spell, a bizarre bird-like golem appears. Matching the theme of Billy, Verena took inspiration from the horrors of the town right down to the name. Tired of her own inability to fly, as well as seeking the freedom that came with experiencing that sort of rush of mobility in the Dungeon with Bengal, the heiress went to work on crafting a new type of golem, unlike any other she had so far.[break][break]It possesses an impressive wingspan that's roughly equal in size to its height, and if being used for transportation, then it can carry up to two people; however, its speed is decreased to 10m/s if it is being used in such a manner. In addition, she can make additional Kikka for every 30 [CON] she has, maxing out at a total of 4 additional golems to summon.[break][break]Though she still believes the human form to be more ideal for the purpose of crafting golems, this looks like a perfectly ordinary bird made from the purest of white cloth. Just... an exceptionally large bird. Without a beak. And talons that are surprisingly ...unsharp. Instead, the feet look more like... human hands, made from the same color that matches the face in terms of the color of cloth. Also, it lacks a beak; instead, it possesses an eerily resemblance to a human face, sewed on with large blue eyes so as to stare seemingly right into a person's soul. The color of the cloth used to replicate the face is very similar to Verena's own skin color.[break][break]When used for offensive purposes, Kikka's most notable approach to dealing with things involves using its feet(?) to pick up adversaries, then toss them or drop them, depending on how heavy they are. It also possesses a nasty headbutt. Both instances deal intermediate levels of damage.[break]
Jin raised an eyebrow to Verena's words about him being stronger than her. She of course meant on the physical side of things he assumed, looking at her physical frame she had a frail looking appearance. But of course all looks could be deceiving especially with the things he had seen so far in his young life. Obviously on the other side of things involving the use of mana and magic. Verena outclassed him by a large margin even with his training as a Zhongli he was quickly discovering that he was barely even scratching the surface of his potential as a mage. As there was quite the assortment of powerful mages in this world.
"Thanks for the compliment! But I doubt that, I've heard you're plenty powerful." Jin replied to her. Jin could tell she was somewhat gentle or at least could be at times. She gave him additional words of encouragement in regards to his nervousness and focus and he nodded to her words. "My uncle also gave similar advice, sometimes I do forget to breathe. Thank you for the reminder." He noticed her smile and was reminded of one of his mother's many lessons. Sometimes a smile is the most dangerous face a person can wear, always heed them.
The silver haired rogue had little reason to believe that she doubted his words, he's noticed more and more in his adventures that it all depends on the person at hand. His original thoughts were the same though, Verena could prove dangerous to him not only because the gap in magical prowess but because of her mind. She shared this in common with another Royal Knight he met recently Hinota Yuiee, another 'frail' young women on the outside. But powerful in mind and mana on the inside. These were the ones he had to wary of the most. But in a odd way it was quite exciting to him.
Jin stood by as she summoned her golems, two very odd looking ones at that. They each had the body of a very large bird, but the face of a human being. But with four eyes with bright blue color, stared back at Jin. The silver haired rogue leaned in closer with a curious look on his face, the golem seemed to be judging him at least it looked like it. Golem's weren't sentient beings, they were simply created from one's own mana and element. But Verena was a special case, her golems were very much different than the ones he had seen before. So perhaps her golems were a bit more special than the usual. This didn't stop an innocent finger floating up with an attempt to lightly tough the golem in front of him. "The body of a bird, but the face of kinda looks human. Haha that's very cool!" Jin said in a honest laugh.
Once the golem allowed him he would hop in with a bit of struggle at first but eventually got it together. "Oh thats fine, as long as we get there is all that matters. Like I mentioned earlier the camp was said to be up north, and there is some kind of Queen there. I wasn't really able to dive into what that meant sadly. I'm going to guess the next camp is larger, and might be more well guarded. So as long as we head north, we should find them." Jin looked down at the golem for a second and then looked up towards north. "Ok bird...human...golem. North we go!" he said in a loud voice pointing in it's general direction.

Verena didn't have much to say until they were flying northbound per Junken's instructions. This exchange was while they were still flying above. She had chosen to remain silent if for no other reason than to watch his reactions to her golems. He wasn't the least bit intimidated when he saw them up close, instead opting to refer to them as "cool". The brunette couldn't help but softly smile when she saw that reaction. She was worried that her Kikka golems might have been problematic given their unusual... well, creepy demeanor. A reminder that was for herself to try to stay strong, even when scared.[break][break]
Verena did mean when she said she referred to Jin as stronger as herself. Though in this world, magic might have been everything, there were still many things that she wasn't able to do by herself. Without that potion, the brunette wasn't even capable of being able to brush her hair; her arms wouldn't allow her to stretch that far back to do so without the feeling of excruciating pain in the process. In her eyes, everyone who was able to live a normal life was significantly stronger than she was, as they didn't need help just to live their life.[break][break]
"I suppose it's fair to say I'm skilled in golem creation and manipulation," Verena admitted. "But unlike other mages, I've never received any formal training until recently. How do you expect a golem to be able to know how to fight and compete against any mage that knows what they're doing? Most golems are only capable of close-quarters combat, so one must first need to know how to manipulate not just their own body, but the body of another so you can try to dodge. How do you throw a punch while making the most use of things? These are all things that a proper golem mage who has spent training for actual combat, even with golems would know. So to me, you are stronger. You have a skill set that I do not possess."[break][break]
Verena didn't feel a need to hide that much. Even if Junken was a possible criminal, she was willing to expose some aspect of her weakness. A weakness that, at least at current, wasn't applicable to her any longer thanks to that potion from Lydia. She was receiving practical combat experience, learning how to dodge, evade -- proper body control and movement so as to not waste her very precious supply of limited energy. She had a tendency to waste more energy than what was strictly was necessary both magically and physically, a habit she had been trying to work on.[break][break]
"However..." she said as they were getting closer. "There still exist ways for someone without any skill to make up for that lack of training."[break][break]
Verena's eyes narrowed as the visage of a cove of some sort, barricaded by ships was coming closer into sight. This matched the description she had been given according to the information given to her by Junken. While she wasn't entirely sure about the trustworthiness of his person yet, she was at least fairly sure he wouldn't have reason to lie to her about this. Though she wasn't sure how he managed to get the information exactly, she did have her suspicions, which was all the more reason to keep an eye on him. Give him something, but not too much. Not more than she was willing to disclose at least.[break][break]
Verena had her two flying golems dismount west of the cove, some sixty meters away from the entrance as they landed on a cliff nearby. It was an ideal location for the scouting that Verena wanted to do. Landing comfortably, she took a look over at the cove. It would be difficult to get any closer without first knowing just how many they were up against. The last thing she wanted was to bring a civilian into an ambush after all. The closed-off entrance through the ships also meant that it would be implausible to go further without drawing attention to themselves.[break][break]
Verena placed a hand under her chin, thinking. She needed a distraction. A means to lure them out, and then quickly get past whatever guards came out. The light wouldn't be enough this time; if the Queen was here, they would likely only send a few out at a time. She needed to be aggressive in this approach then. Raise their alert to a single point, and while they were engaged, move in swiftly and quietly.[break][break]
"Junken, I need you to be ready to move at a moment's notice. I'm going to draw as much of their attention out of the cave. A sufficiently powerful golem would send much of their forces out in an attempt to protect this queen. While they're engaged with that, we're going to circle around the fighting, and I'll block their entrance into the cove to limit an ambush. Avoid combat with as many serpents as you can though; it's very possible that there will be an entire nest of serpents if they have a Queen present and I can't risk you getting surrounded no matter how skilled you may be. Understand?" she asked, turning around to face him.[break][break]
The brunette's expression returned a bit more serious now that she understood the situation a bit more clearly. Due to the water, it would be exceptionally difficult to send in any golems that weren't made for swimming so trying to get an accurate measure of what they were up against was going to be a bit more on the difficult side of things. But if she could divide their forces and block enough of them out of their cave, it became a lot more possible.[break][break]
"Summoner Creation Magic: Ertrinken," Verena calmly said as she got atop her Kikka constructs once more.[break][break]
Verena was awaiting Junken to do the same. Outwardly, nothing was happening yet, and no golem manifested near Verena. However, she knew the spell had worked. Her senses were linked with her golems after all, to a degree. She could "feel" it swimming in the depths of the sea beneath them. Deep enough where the serpents wouldn't realize it. Deep enough where it would launch an ambush with sufficient ease.[break][break]
Verena ordered her golems to go up, commanding both of her flying golems to inch ever so closer though only bringing the two only fifteen meters closer to the entrance, still out of sight. And then...[break][break]
"Rise up. Drown. Target the central ship," Verena ordered.[break][break]
Some fifteen meters away from Jin and Verena, her apex predator revealed itself. Impressively armored, the leviathan easily had a head that was larger than Jin was. Though its body was largely unviewable, hidden by the sea, it measured twelve meters from head to tail, possessing an impressive armament. After surfacing up, the golem shot a burst of water from its enormous jaw that completely annihilated the shipwreck in the center that blocked off most of the cove.[break][break]
And now, it was time for them to come out. Verena had her golem speed up ahead at its full speed of twenty-four meters a second. There was no reason to hold back after all. She needed this golem to be able to serve as a distraction and cause chaos amongst their ranks so that they could easily infiltrate the cove.[break][break]
Verena kept her arm raised as if motioning for Jin to remain still. They couldn't afford to speed up too soon. She wanted to ensure as many guards as possible were going to come out to handle this to minimize as much possible fighting once inside. No doubt there would be some that remained, but it wouldn't be an issue if they had the majority of their forces out. Such a behemoth demanded as many sacrifices as possible if it meant tiring and weakening it, and she had no idea if they would believe her golem a legitimate threat or a magical construct. Her hope was for the former.[break][break]
It didn't take long. A few seconds had passed and Verena was confident that this was all the forces they were going to bring out to confront her golem. "Now," Verena ordered to Junken as she had her golems launch at their full twelve meters per second speeds to the cave, circling around the conflict to avoid exposing the shadows from above. "Keep them occupied and we'll be fine," she told herself.[break][break]
Sure enough, it was sufficient. When forced to fight against an opponent that far outclassed them, the serpents on the outside couldn't afford to be distracted. A simple strike from its tail was more than enough to incapacitate the three that had engaged too closely that a battle in the seas was occurring, practically cleaving through them with excessive force. Verena naturally was ordering said golem to engage the fighters and kill as many as she could.[break][break]
As Ertrinken had spiraled around to pull off that devastating swipe, three more serpents were engaging from above, taking advantage of the positioning. However, the exact order Verena had given to her golem as she and Junken moved out was a fairly simple one: "kill any serpents who engage, and kill any serpents outside." As soon as they came close, tridents aiming to pierce into the tough scales of the golem, it maneuvered around them. A single strike managed to land, but against the tough scaley skin of Ertrinken, it was barely even noticed before it mauled the serpents. Faint red was visible where this battle was coming, indicating that Verena was very much in firm control of what was happening where neither of the two mages could see.[break][break]
The option was available of simply luring them further and further away. Verena knew that. But there wouldn't be any point if by the time they finished with the queen that they still had several outside remaining. Verena's first priority was ensuring the survival of the slaves and the elimination of the Queen. But just as important was ensuring Junken's own survival. For that reason, once they landed behind the Serpents who were mindlessly driving themselves into the ocean, Verena cast her Survival Instincts spell by declaring it to cover up as much of the entrance as she conceivably could once the two had entered.[break][break]
Verena glanced around as she stood in the cove. Having just entered inside this cavern, it wasn't super light, and by blocking off the entrance she was effectively eliminating light as well. It was incredibly quiet, too. She glanced over to Junken's spear. True, he could use it as a flashlight, but she didn't want him drawing attention to himself. Verena raised her palm outward manifesting mana in the palm of her hand as a glowing orb of light appeared, offering much more visibility. The creature in her palm did possess something resembling arms and legs but was too small to be practical. More importantly...[break][break]
"This should suffice. Please stay close and behind me. We'll take advantage of the flight while we investigate the cove. It seems like it goes pretty deep and we likely are already known to be here. If we come under attack, it will be best to stay behind me as I'll be spotted first."

Ertrinken is without question Verena's strongest water golem at the current time, and all aspects of its design are streamlined to allow it to be nearly unmatched within the depths of the sea, while still just as potent on land due to it possessing arms and legs.[break][break]Ertrinken is a large sea-serpent-like creature. Golden armor decorates its tail, ankles, thighs, back, neck. On the end of its tail, a golden trident-like set of armor is attached to the tip of the tail, allowing it to use the tail for piercing and cutting attacks, instead of simple bludgeoning. Its serpentine body is covered in royal blue scales, akin to that of a dragon, adding onto its sea-serpent-like design, with its underbelly being a light blue color, matching the waters itself. The nose protrudes upward, visually reminiscent of a trident, and it possesses two horns on each side of its head, as well as two massive horns on the back of its head.[break][break]Ertrinken is capable of transporting up to five people at speeds up to [24m/s]. In addition, for every 75 [CON] the caster has, they are capable of conjuring up an additional one. It is capable of relaying simple information back to the creator -- namely, the location of an enemy, if it's been injured, finding an ally, et cetera. It is not a scout golem, so it cannot show locations, but as the caster is always aware of the golems location (under normal circumstances), it is possible for the caster to get an approximation.[break][break]Razor-sharp claws decorate its hands and feet, as singular claws sticking out from each leg about knee level, as well as underneath the forearms and spiked protrusions also stick out of the armor of the tail to increase lethality when using it to strike targets, giving it a maximum range of [4m] when using it for such a method. If it manages to hit someone with its tail, it likely propels them back [16m + 5 per 10 POW]. All melee attacks it lands deal substantial [Grand] damage, making it exceptionally difficult to approach.[break][break]Through [Ranged Golem], Ertrinken is capable of launching a pressurized burst of water that deals [Senior] damage from its mouth, reaching up to [80m] while moving at speeds of [40m/s]. Upon the caster giving the command "Drown", the attack is launched, with no other prep time needed beyond Ertinken needing to open its mouth.[break]

The wall appears as though it's constantly moving around, and this is in part due to [Juggernaut], as it is capable of, with limited usages, of strengthening itself in what would otherwise tear right through, or damage it to render that damage obsolete. If someone tries to attack the wall, the carbon will react and will spike out, damaging whoever is attacking it equal to [Intermediate] damage thanks to [Hazardous Shield]. In addition, the wall is capable of shooting out a solid "chain" of carbon though, plus one additional chain for every 50 [CON] she has. These chains function in accordance to clashing rules, and cause strain on a person's ability to regenerate their mana, depleting it by 15 (though if their mana regenerative ability is lower, then it will be reduced to 1). If they catch a person, their ability to cast spells is reduced by fifty percent of what would be their normal casting limit. In addition, if they manage to bind someone, their mana will be sapped by ten, giving Verena half of what is drained.
It wasn't long before the duo were in the air on the way to the next destination. Assuming the information he gathered was correct, they honestly just had to keep going up north and a camp site should be seen sooner or later. In this time Jin kept looking down at the golem he was riding really examining how odd and yet cool it looked to him. He did hear her call them under the name Kikka, he wondered if that had any references to the all the drama that happened in that town not to long ago. When it came to meddling into affairs like that Jin took a far back seat, despite his true activities he did hold just a little sympathy for the people in that town. But that was about it.
The white haired rogue did start to ponder on Verena and her words so far. She claimed that he was much stronger than her, while for now it was obvious to tell who was the more powerful one between the pair. He did begin to question what she really meant, and was this a weakness for her. Someone's fame gave allot of information if you knew how to do research and ask the right people the right questions. Luckily in Clover the more famous a mage was the easier it was access information about them. Verena The Elemental Heiress was quite new to fame, but it had recently grew allot more with her being not only a new Magic Knight but a Royal Knight as well. To add to that her magic was very extremely rare, no one that he heard of could summon golems of multiple different elements the way she could. But it was always tricky getting what direct weaknesses someone of fame had. Sometimes a mage of that caliber had none, but it seemed that wasn't the case for her. Was she so weak physically that even an average mage could best her in physical combat?
As if she was reading his thoughts she continued to speak on what she meant earlier. She revealed that her actual physical combat training was rather poor and she relied so much on her golems and manipulation. Stating that because of that he had a skill set she did not possess. And he understood where she was coming from, in this age and world your chance of survival only increased with the more you knew and the more you could do. Which is why his training and the training for his brothers and sisters were so strict and intense, it was combat training, magic training, sensory training and even critical thinking. All things were essential to a Zhongli's training and upbringing and if you could not excel in all these factors you would be deemed a failure. He wondered if Verena went through similar issues in her youth.
" A skillset that you do not possess? Was that...difficult for you?" Jin asked her after hearing her. Jin knew that he upbringing was much different from others, not many are trained to be assassins from birth. Before he Aeila he thought his family was the only one. But he could assume some children raised in a dire home could have also had some difficulties.
"Ha I can see that. Skill and training isn't everything. There's always room for a little more."
Soon enough they started to approach the next site, luckily the information he gathered was indeed correct. He guessed that serpent was very confident in his Queen. But even with the Elemental Heiress on his side, he should not take things lightly. Jin nodded to Verena's words, she was going to make use of even more golems in order to lessen the amount of fighting they had to do. He had no issue's with her plan, it just made things all the easier for him. The less threats he faced, the chances of him having to use his actual magic lessened. And he would like to avoid using his true magic in front of magic knights. Jin did as he was told following her lead step by step. He did watch as she summoned her golem and rose from the waters immediately crushing any threat in front of it, and this was only a sample of what she was capable of.
As her golem did what it was commanded to, they landed behind the serpents that was quickly meeting their end. But once they landed Verena activated another spell, a defensive one sorts. A large black wall made of carbon matter was formed, making Jin even more impressed. She had so many abilities at her disposal Jin smiled to himself thinking about her words earlier. He followed close behind her as per her orders.
"You have strong defensive spells too? Along with golems of multiple elements. You sure I'm stronger one? Cause I really doubt that haha." Jin said to her jokingly as they continued forward.

As Verena explained what she meant, she made sure to keep a close eye on Jin's expression. She was testing him by exposing this. While not necessarily to bait him into anything, it was more a test to test his sense of righteousness. A cruel person would have mocked her. A normal person would be stunned into silence.[break][break]
But more than that, the facial expressions of each were a tell. A cruel person's expression could be anything from the faintest, albeit brief curling of the lips for example. As though they had just obtained information that they greatly valued upon hearing this. A normal person's expression would show shock. Brows raised in surprise, perhaps a little concern. Mouth slightly agape. Concern was a normal expression to wear when someone explained their weakness and how it impacted them.[break][break]
Yet no such indicator was present in the case of Verena's little test. Junken asked a follow-up question, his words were naturally paused... slow, as if trying to process what he should say. What he should ask. As though he was afraid of stepping on eggshells. That in of itself could have been an issue, but most people would have reacted the same way when hearing something that was surprising.[break][break]
Verena shook her head, however. "Not at all," Verena responded. "The creation and manipulation of golems to me is like breathing. Of course, I do have an overreliance on them. But there are a number of ways you can make up for weaknesses. Self-awareness is vital, wouldn't you agree?" she asked, smiling before she raised her hand, indicating silence from this point forward.[break][break]
At this point, Verena launched her initial attack on the ships. The serpents came barreling out, attempting to strike down the assailant that was her golem while she and Junken remained out of sight, well above the conflict. They were able to fly around, ensuring to minimize their shadows presence as they circled around based on the path that they took.[break][break]
The entrance into the cove was simple enough. A sufficient decoy had been made. However, there was a glaring weakness with this plan, one that she wasn't sure if it would come up or not. And that was the fact the cove was much more spacious than she had thought, complete with a variety of little caverns. On top of that, that silence present here despite the space was... alarming. She was sure that they would have had guards nearby in case her golem "broke free".[break][break]
"...Defense is a good way to protect others in the short term from immediate threats," Verena calmly explained. "But what separates me from you is I can't protect myself without magic. At least some mages would have a fallback. So yes, I consider you stronger because your potential isn't limited to your magic. Though yes, if we're strictly talking in terms of magic, well..."[break][break]
Verena didn't feel the need to finish this sentence. She didn't need to.[break][break]
"Summoner Creation Magic: Sonia," Verena called at as the skeletal-like creature made up of various pipes, instruments manifested from the ground, rising up.[break][break]
As usual, there were two of them present. Verena's control might have been exceptional, but she had been stagnating. That wasn't good. But that was neither here nor there right now. "Sonia, split up and search the cove until I give the order to return. Share with me all information you come across, such as enemies and the captives." Verena ordered to both golems.[break][break]
Immediately both raced out of the way, navigating the caverns. At their full speeds, they were able to cover plenty of ground, though Verena had to move carefully. She was already sixty meters away from Ertrinken, and she needed to ensure that it was maintained for as long as there were other enemies. She could only go sixty meters further ahead, and then she was 'stuck' until it had managed to fell the remaining militia.[break][break]
About twenty seconds later, Verena stopped abruptly. "Both return," she commanded, biting her lip.[break][break]
Damn. The slaves were closer to her and kept her in range. But the enemies were far out of her maximum range, and there was still fighting going on outside. Closing her eyes, she tried reaching out to Ertrinken to try to get an idea of just how many more. But it was still like a miniature army. It was a good thing that her golem was so much more powerful than these serpents, as it was capable of just brushing off most of their hits. But the fact was that it still needed time to quell the remaining numbers.[break][break]
"Junken," Verena said, biting her lip. "You have the choice of remaining here or following both of my golems to support them. I know where their Queen is at and the remaining captured people. The issue is that if I go too far, I will end up losing Ertrinken, and there's still a significant amount of them out there. There are a remaining total of six guards plus their queen in this cave, but they are more heavily armed. They're likely stronger guards than what we encountered. Please do not directly engage them if it isn't strictly necessary. And try to keep a distance of at least twenty meters from you and my Sonia golems,"[break][break]
"Whatever you pick, I'll at least leave one golem with you just in case. I'm going to go help the captured right now though," she said as she made her way eastbound. If Junken chose to fight, Verena ordered her golems to assist him, acting as a guide for him and careful not to go too fast. A golem in front of and behind him, ensuring that he was protected from any flanking attacks due to the narrow spaces of the caverns here within this cove.[break][break]
Eventually, the two golems would have guided him to a large clearing with a large body of water behind the serpents. There were a total of seven, and stalagmites hung ominously like spears above. This was very clearly a dangerous spot. The queen stood behind the stalagmites, with her elite guard all in front of her. They were on high alert, but there was still a wall that separated Sonia and Jin from them, allowing them some level of secrecy. If the silver-haired mage wished to flee, now was his chance...
Element: Water[break]Rank: Grand[break]Size: Up to 12m[break]Mana Cost: 50 | 25[break]Type of Golem: Balanced[break]Applicable Perks: Ranged Golems, Puppet Master, Reinforced Golem, Fierce Golems[break]Description: Upon saying the spells name, an armored leviathan will appear.

Element: Sound[break]Rank: Senior[break]Size: Up to 3m[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Type of Golem: Scout[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems, Ranged Golems, Fierce Golems[break]Description: Upon saying the spells name, a musical skeleton appears. Verena's newest sound golem is, for all intents and purposes, the culmination of what she has been trying to achieve. With excellent sensory skills that far outperform any of her current golems and their incredible speed, Sonia golems represent her first new type of golem: Scout golems.[break][break]Sonia golems take the form of a human skeleton; however there are many differences in the anatomy--rather, instead of bone, various types of metals make up its bones, but all ultimately make up a variety of instruments. The skull is covered in a hard material that offers enhanced protection, but brass encompasses most of it, and piano keys make up its teeth. Inside its mouth is a large sound amplifier that is connected to a large brass pipe that functions as a spine.[break][break]The golems 'ribs' are made up of a variety of pipes and Sonia's shoulders have cymbals protruding them ever so slightly like shoulder spaulders. The sternum looks like a series of clarinets melded together against the pipes, though the topmost pipes connect into these clarinets. Sonia's arms are made up of batons, and its hands are made up of smaller cymbals. Attached to these cymbals are instruments are known as dords.[break][break]Where a stomach would be exists a large drum protected by a series of steel pipes connected. Similar to Sonia's arms, the legs are made up musical batons, with knees that look like very small cymbals as well. Furthermore, it possesses feet that look cymbals and dord-like toes again.[break][break]These golems are incapable of being rid upon, but for every 50 [CON], Verena is capable of summoning an additional Sonia. In addition, these golems are capable of unleashing a sound wave that can reach up to [140m] from Verena's current position relative to their own. In other words, if they are [70m] from Verena, this sound wave is only capable of reaching up to seventy meters from their own position. This sound does not hurt Verena. However, anyone within [20m] will suffer [Intermediate] damage due to the area-of-effect nature of this spell, and these sounds travel at [20m/s].[break][break]Doing so grants the caster awareness of mana signatures nearby. However, this does not allow them to differentiate friend from foe. It does, however, allow them to figure out humans from animals, mana beasts, and other non-human entities (elven and dwarven characters still count as human). This 'scream' implants images in the user's head in a manner similar to echolocation, shaping outlines of the landscape and sending them back to the user. This is solely limited to entities that are not hiding their mana in some way. What the caster does with that information is entirely up to them.[break][break]Due to this ability, these golems are the ideal scouts. With superior range, sensory prowess and speed, information gathering is a breeze when it comes to dealing with her surroundings.[break]
"Very much so." Jin replied to her comment about Self awareness being very vital. Self awareness is what kept him alive this long doing what he does. It's one of the very first things his mother Jukane taught all her children of Zhongli. Being aware of not only the world around you but of yourself, know your limits and your weaknesses and always do your best to hide them until it was no longer a weakness. Right now Jin's weakness was his lack of true wizard experience and the power that came with it.
Using the Elemental Heiress as an example his magic capabilities and power output was nothing compared to her own. And even herself would have to state that there was quite a few ahead of her in terms of out right power. So he needed to close that gap and gain that necessary power that allowed to him rival those individuals like Verena and others. Just so he could seek out to accomplish his real goals.
But she was right in the sense that pure magical ability wasn't everything, what he did have over her was better physical abilities. In terms of speed, raw physical strength, use of weapons and other things of that nature. A Zhongli's training consisted of both physical and magical training it was a requirement for all members and it served him well when he needed it.
The white haired rogue watched and she summoned even more golems to aid her. This one though looked like it was made of different musical instruments, he wouldn't cease to be amazed by all the elements she had at her disposal. The more he saw the more he was intrigued with this level of golem magic, perhaps this was a method of magic worth learning more about. He had one golem spell at his disposal and it was only through his prized dagger, but these were thoughts for another time. He continued to watch as her golems went and returned proving to be the most efficient scouts giving her the information she needed.
He was now faced with a choice either stay here or go fight. The answer was simple to him. "Well I didn't commit to this mission to just watch things happen. I'll go and face them, you can count on me Verena." he said looking towards the cave his vibrant blue eyes now full of focus. And soon after that he followed her golems deeper into the cave, stopping at a large clearing with a large body of water behind the serpents. They had about six in number and Verena's guesses were spot on, they did look more armored and stronger than the previous ones. There was also the Sea Witch who stood behind them faced with these odds he was starting to realized he had no choice but to use his own actual magic. Something he wanted to avoid, or maybe he still could avoid it. As her golems went on the move quickly, engaging in the open space. Forcing the Witch's guards to run towards them with weapons in hand. The Witch herself moving behind her guards to start an attack herself.
The rogue started thinking to himself he's most likely going to have to get involved in this fight. Meaning the chances of him having to use his real magic was increasing. If he had to it wasn't the complete end of the world but he rather avoid it. But the rogue didn't have to be to hasty as Vereana's golems were very much capable of holding their own. First off their speed was no match for the serpents or the Queen. They moved far to fast for the anyone in that cave to keep up with, with just a few movements and attacks four of the six serpents were already defeated and slain on the ground. Leaving Jin quite surprised, he didn't know why he was so shocked he should have figured her golems would be extremely capable. And because of that he sat behind that wall and didn't engage, but now the With was furious and attempted to attack one of the golems with a sonic scream, causing the rogue a moment of panic as he looked up towards the ceiling at the stalagmites shaking.

There wasn't much to say. While Jin expressed his gratitude, Verena was still silent. She was grateful that she had managed to get him out safely, but that that didn't actually fix the issue. For now, she wanted to regroup and rest a bit. She was draining herself rapidly with all of the high-level spells she was using. It certainly wasn't smart of her. But given the situation, what else could she do? She needed to protect Junken. Not to mention, she wasn't expecting the Queen to use Sound magic as well. That made things a little irritating...[break][break]
Verena needed to end this quickly. There was no point in drawing this out. A decisive blow that would see to it the operations permanently ended here. The best way to do that was to destroy the Queen. A precision-based strike of a sufficiently powerful golem would be capable of doing just that. In that case, it was probably best to try to attack the Queen with another Ertrinken. She didn't want to try to destroy the cove either way. That was part of the natural world, something not man-made.[break][break]
Well, whatever. There was no need to overthink it. There were any number of ways that she could handle this sort of threat. There were any number of ways that she could handle this threat. There wasn't a need to overthink now that she had gotten the captives to safety. For the time being, all Verena needed to worry about was ensuring the defeat of the queen now that all the outside forces had been dealt with. The people were being led outside now that she had removed the wall. She had replenished quite a bit of her mana as well.[break][break]
However, Junken was feeling a bit more gung-ho. It seemed he had been holding back, and it was bothering him. That he could do more. "Please be careful," Verena reminded him. The last thing she needed was for him to get hurt in this process. That would be unfortunate.[break][break]
With Jin being as close as he was to the enemies, Verena couldn't simply squish them with Titan or Leidenschaft. In that case, perhaps the next best thing was a very simple thing. If she couldn't defeat them by relying on her usual approach of overwhelming size, then perhaps it was time she used the magic taught to her by her friend.[break][break]
Verena watched clearly impressed by the man's technique. He wasn't exactly a mage in the traditional sense, but his ability to draw upon the abilities of weapons couldn't be underestimated. Still, he was going to need help. As quickly as he was able to damage the lot of them, he wasn't able to kill the queen but he did manage to fell both of the slavers with impressive skill. But with the Queen still alive, the threat remained. And that was why Verena cast her spell, her grimoire responding. The strongest spell she had. The strongest defense. The strongest offense.[break][break]
"Summoner Creation Magic: Ritter."[break][break]
Directly in front of Jin, a smaller "man" appeared. However, it was clad entirely in armor with no signs of humanity in them. This suit of armor was as black as night itself, as though it was just a silhouette rather than an actual figure. A smog-like effect of darkness obstructed it as well. What could be seen of the armor, however, was incredibly intimidating. By no means was it not a golem that aspired hope at a glance.
The moment the spells name was finished, so too had the Witch finished her own spell. But with the thirty meters of space, it was plenty of enough time for Ritter's own command to be given. Outreaching its hand, a black hole manifested from it as it absorbed the sound attack ease, completely erasing the attack within that black hole. "Ritter, eliminate the Serpents Queen," Verena commanded.[break][break]
The Queen hissed in response to this, choosing to run. However, Ritter was faster than the Queen was. Verena realized that she was going for the water, and she immediately looked to Jin. "Block her off!" she ordered.[break][break]
Assuming Jin did so, Ritter was able to catch up to the Queen, pouncing on her. All it took was the golem reaching for its neck and snapped it like a twig. There was no resistance. Or perhaps it was more accurate to say that any resistance it did have was completely futile when faced with the overwhelming difference in strength.[break][break]

Specifically, this golem is modeled after Hans' Draconic Drive in terms of appearance, though possessing none of the original Spell's predominant enhancements. Instead, its advantages come from being both a golem and one of Verena Reinsbergs own golems, giving it a unique advantage compared to other types of golems.[break][break]Unlike most of Verena's golems, where one might be able to see the main body, it seems this Golem is "empty", and is instead just a suit of black armor, emitting black wisps of dark magic that manifest around its arms and legs. These wisps make it a little more difficult to tell what exactly the golem is doing and how it's attacking, but any experienced mage will have no issue in combatting it regardless. Ritter's armor, as already noted, conceals its entire body -- a feat possible through Verena's own skill at armoring her constructs, as well as Dark magic's own persistent nature. The helmet contains wings that could be described as being welded on, with three slits on each side of the helmet. There exist wings of a sort, but these also seem to be for decor. However, they are incredibly sharp, and though it isn't a reliable method of attacking if they are somehow used to do so, they are capable of penetrating with enough force to deal [Grand] damage. An example of this would have to involve thrusting backward or falling down onto someone, however, and as one can guess, this would require incredibly specific circumstances to actually make use of that.[break][break]The golems chest plate is heavily reinforced, separated into two different layers. The outer layer starts from the neck and spreads to the undersides of each arm, where it covers up the entire side portion of the body. To cover up the central body, an incredibly durable piece of armor that seems to draw inspiration from scales in its structural design. As this golem is derived from Hans' "Draconic Drive" spell, this only makes sense.[break][break]Ritter possesses shoulder spaulders that protect the shoulders and a bit of the upper arm, on the outside. It is expertly crafted onto the shoulder to allow for a full range of mobility of the arms, while still ensuring protection. The gauntlets cover up the remainder of the arm, with only a small portion of the golem having exposed "skin" -- which is nothing but residual darkness magic -- that which animates this otherwise empty suit of armor.[break][break]The grieves it wears are naturally protected as well, covering the entirety of the legs what the armor itself wouldn't be able to cover. The knee guards are spiked, allowing for deadly close-quarters combat when using knees that deal [Grand] damage. To cover up the feet are typical armored boots.[break][break]Ritter's predominant method of combat is taking advantage of its heavily armored nature to fight up close and personal with devastating striking potential, capable of dealing [Grand] damage to whatever it manages to strike. While its armaments make it slow, it still possesses an incredible amount of power, and its durable nature as both a Guardian Golem and product of Dark magic allows it to keep going, capable of shrugging off most attacks from anything but the most powerful of opponents.[break][break]This golem is incapable of carrying more than three people at a time, though it forfeits offensive combat entirely if it's doing so due to its size always being a constant 167.64cm in height -- the exact height of Hans Walker and remains at its speed due to not being capable of exceeding the maximum transportation speed for golems. Additional Ritter are still capable of being conjured; one per every 75 [CON] the caster has with a maximum of two being called out per spell. Like with all Golems, Ritter is capable of sending information about its surroundings to its caster via the mana tether but is only capable of sending simple information such as enemies, allies, when receiving damage, et cetera.[break][break]What separates this apart from Verena's other Golems are the natural advantages that come with Dark magic, as well as the weaknesses. Ritter takes 25% longer to form than other golems, and when clashing with light magic, Ritter loses 5 [POW] during that clash. However, before being struck by a Spell, Dark magic will enhance the golems [DUR] by 10 for the purpose of clashing. Most uniquely to this golem is its ability to generate small black holes that are capable of absorbing spells so long as Ritter possesses at least 5 more [DUR] than the opposing spells functioning stat making it an ideal choice for protecting others as well as the Caster.
Before he knew it, Jin was grabbed by the collar of his jacket and dragged outside the cave before the stalagmites came down on him. He was taken aback at first still getting surprised with the speed these golems were capable of. But now he had to thank them and Verena for not letting him get hurt, if not for her that would have been a very deadly situation for him. Once he was pulled out and brought to Verena a heavy sigh of relief left his mouth. He looked towards the summoner "Aaahhh thank you. You really saved me back there." he said honestly.
But apparently she was at a certain limit, or at the least approaching a limit. She was exerting herself with all the uses of golems and defensive spells. He assumed she had allot more mana in the tank, but she rather rest a bit now and keep her reserves high. But this also could have been that weakness she mentioned earlier with her lack of a strong physical constitution maybe doing to much left her a little more fatigued than most. Nevertheless considering her accomplishments thus far she was nothing to scoff at. And maybe now he was slowing her down.
The white haired rogue quickly got to his feet and dusted himself off, looking towards the caves entrance. The serpent queen and her last two elite slavers made it out alive and still looked prepared to fight. Jin turned his a little and noticed Verena was able to find the slaves as her golems were releasing them from the cages. This probably only added to the witch's anger now, he had to pull his weight. So far he had done nothing but get in the way and make things more difficult. While there was a reason for this, do to his reluctance to use his true magic in front of others. He was starting to grow tired of these limitations he had to put on himself. "I will buy you sometime, it's time I start pulling my weight."
Jin started to spin his light spear rapidly focusing on the last three enemies. "Infinite light rain!" he shouted creating three light blades, activating a spell within his relic spear. The next moment each blade shot towards both elite slaver's and the witch herself dealing junior ranked damage to each one. The slaver's seemed to react more to the damage than the witch, who merely shook it off and started running towards them. He created another light blade but the witched dodged it easily. The rogue sucked his teeth in annoyance, now with all three running towards him. Using his left hand he reached behind him and pulled out the dagger gifted to him by Aeila. Spinning it in his left hand rapidly, he sliced the air releasing another spell aimed at one of the slavers. "Cycle's End!" a dangerous arc of shadow magic shot forward and hit one of the slaver's finally killing it. Using the same hand he threw the dagger with pinpoint accuracy at the other slaver piercing it's chest finally killing that one as well.
Now the witch was in position to release another soundwave like spell, leaving Jin to just attempt to block it by crossing his arms.

[attr="class","verenaver2scroll2"] TL;DR finished, less you want to have a proper finish to this[break] Senior Spell Sustain: 15[break] Grand Cast Cast: 50 [break][break]
Element: Dark[break]Rank: Guardian[break]Size: 1.6764m[break]Mana Cost: 50 | 25 [break]Type of Golem: Guardian[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems, Fierce Golems[break]Description: The sight of this golem is a very clear callback to the one who taught her the magic in the first place by drawing inspiration to almost plagiaristic levels.
