[attr="class","noahtext"]The captain of pirates was captured, and all there was left to do was to deliver him to the Magic Knights who would further interrogate him, or do something else, Noah wasn’t quite sure as this was a new scenario for him. The man was now tied down, lying face down on the deck and Verena was victoriously shouting, while keeping one of her feet on his head. “We captured the beast! This will give us great food for at least a month, the bounty is ours!” This confused the young mage as he thought that the mist mage and her crew were specifically asked to do this job, but it seemed like the opposite was truth. Noah wanted to protest and be angry about it, but seeing the whole crew happy, smiling from one ear to another, it seemed like things like this didn’t happen every day. Given the conditions they were living in, Noah could easily see how much they needed any extra money they could get. Therefore, he just smiled and silently went ahead, to the front part of the deck, away from all the people, where he would just quietly sit on the railing, with his face staring into the sea. [break]
Huge celebration started, and even though gravity mage felt like he was the one who captured the villain, Verena was certainly celebrated more. That was a good thing, as it seemed like the crew had a great teambuilding exercise which they all needed, but Noah just realized more and more how absurd this whole situation was, and that he doesn’t belong with the pirates at all. He was a Magic Knight after all, and his duties were different than taking care of a crew of alcoholics, that felt more like Verena´s stuff. Clearing up his mind, he didn’t even realize that the sun has started to fall back, as evening came. Why didn’t they return to the shore yet? He managed to lose a sense of time as he was thinking about how different this life was from the one he thought he would have. Waiting for a right moment, he would make sure to catch Verena little later, when she wasn’t the center of all the attention, just so he could speak to her alone and somehow tell her that he really doesn’t want to be a part of her crew anymore. Knowing this was a sensitive topic, he was waiting quite a while before he finally approached her.[break]
“Hey, captain… Can I speak with you for a moment?” Noah asked, very politely, but ultimately showing a sad face as the woman could instantly tell what was going to happen. Her cheeks were red, she drank quite a lot of wine until now and therefore just laughed for a second before she would speak. “Let me guess, we are not good enough and you hate it here? Or you feel like you did more than me and deserve my fame?” She spoke rather harshly, she was obviously drunk and Noah started feeling a little uncomfortable as he shrugged his shoulders and slowly continued. “No, I don’t care about the pirates or fame regarding that. I was just wondering when we would be going back to land, and for that matter, if this was enough for me to stop participating in your crew. By no means I feel like I am too good for you or anything else, it´s just that this is not my life anymore. When we met like a month ago, I was confused teenager who easily agreed to do anything for my lack of confidence, but I know what I want to do now and where I want to be.” He spoke very clearly, and even the captain herself was little surprised as she smiled a little. “Fine. We will go back to the docks tomorrow morning, after that I will leave you alone and you will be free to do whatever you want. However, there´s last thing I ask of you as a member of my crew…” She stopped, creating suspense. “Enjoy this night with the rest of the crew and have some fun!” With this, drunken woman smiled ear to ear and went back to the center of celebrations, which was middle deck. Noah smiled back, as the woman didn’t leave him much of a choice, but it was a good thing to do in general. Maybe being so uptight all the time wasn’t doing him much good, and maybe if he just tried to join the celebration, maybe he would even miss his squad someday. Noah was completely ignoring that he indeed has a different squad and different captain now, but it felt irrelevant to the current situation. Therefore, he decided to join the party, entering the middle deck along with all the other men and women now crazily singing and dancing some songs, or maybe just random sentences put together, Noah couldn’t really tell. Since he wasn’t the biggest fan of the alcohol, he knew that there was no way he was drinking the ale, as he could see himself vomiting already, given the fact that the boat was still shaking a little, it was making him nauseous enough. There were couple of oil lights around the whole ship, hanged and it indeed made a rather pleasant atmosphere. Noah would not join the dance or sing, however he was smiling and very minimally moving his head as if he was reacting to the rhythm of the song. [break]
This was by far the largest engagement with a “celebration” that Noah had in his whole life, and he was rather proud of himself, as he wasn’t hating it. He also saw that the captain occasionally looked at him and smiled, but she was having a different kind of fun. Over one table, there were like ten men gathered, shouting. Noah couldn’t see what was going on, but decided to approach it out of natural curiosity. Two men sitting next to each other, with both their elbows on the table were having a fist fight, or something of that kind. It seemed like the goal was for one or another to put his opponent´s fist down first, manifesting a greater strength. Noah was in no way really interested, but Verena made sure to include him, as she basically kicked the man that was currently sparring from the chair, and gestured the young mage to come and join. With a moment of hesitation, Noah just gave up and decided to do it, at least he was going to have some “fun” while this night lasted. “Let´s see how you do snowflake! Oh by the way, magic is allowed!” She shouted, as everyone else cheered. Noah was very surprised from the cheer, mainly when he saw his opponent.[break]
Large, oversized man, looking very unfriendly into Noah´s eyes, as if he knew he was going to destroy him. Noah, not showing much emotion just putting up his hand in the according position waited for the man to do the same, before Verena would announce the start. Fact, that magic was allowed was an easy route for Noah, but also if it wasn’t he would probably get thrown out of the ship. “Go!” The woman shouted as both Noah and the man started pushing their fists. Well, the man was pushing his fists, however Noah just filled it with his mana, creating a miniature force field around his hand, rendering the pressure of the other fist basically non-existing. With this, he would notice the surprise on his opponent´s face, as he slowly and effortlessly put down his hand, making him loose in a couple of seconds. The crowds were cheering, as if Noah just did something heroic, which just made him believe that no one here was capable of seeing his magic, which made him calmer.
