Yemir was forever striving to make her standing in the criminal underworld higher and more stable and this was just another day of going for the grind. Approaching the local tavern, The Boar’s Tusk, an old and barely standing two story building. The outside would make you think that any stray breeze was going to cause the building to fall in on itself and would be a safety hazard to anyone near by but upon entering the building you would come to realize that the inside was well maintained and pristine like in comparison to the outside. It fit the area that the more seedy side of society frequented, after all not all criminals were technically bad or evil some were down right wholesome and kind. So the tavern was a good mirror of the people it serviced.
Going inside the building was as natural as breathing for Yemir even with her small frame and youthful appearance the regulars here were quite use to seeing Yemir frequent the Tavern on the regular. She had broken the jaw of the first person that had tried to run her out of the place years back and since then she has slowly been gaining reputation with the people of the area as someone who got the task done as needed. Nodding and gesturing to those she knew and those she was close with Yemir approached the barkeep and requested the usual special, the barkeep looked at her and nodded gesturing to the back room where she would be able to find out more about whatever job they had for her.
Moving along to the backroom she once more nodded to the security and various Rogues that were sitting in the room. None of them were any that Yemir was familiar with then again the only rogue she really interacted with outside of that recruitment gathering was Jorah. “What’s the job for today? Debt Collection? Protection hustle? Diversion?” Yemir rattled off to the large burly man who stared at her. “Come on you giant waste of muscle, I ain’t getting any younger.” Yemir complained.
“Ah Yemir, I see you have come to annoy me as much as the gnats.” The Burly man said as he picked up a parchment. “No none of those low end jobs, I got a nice juicy fight for you today.” The man said with a smile, “You will be going out into the forest nearby and relieving a Magic Knight Supply Escort of his burden.” Yemir stopped pacing and looked at the man, snatching the parchment out of his hands. “You mean I can actually go wild on this one? No, Oh don’t kill the person or just knock them out bit?” Yemir said while smiling.
“Nope you can do whatever you want with however many knights so happen to be there. Though the only catch is that you have to bring the goods back to the appointed place and you got a partner for this one.” The burly man stated as he started to light up a cigar. “Now be a good little thing and plop on down over there while we wait for your companion.”
Mania never stayed put for too long, this was how the young rogue maintain a low profile. Still relatively unknown, even in some of the places he had stayed for longer periods, Mania still had little to no reputation. Mania liked it like this, at least for now. Mania admired his silver and black grimoire for a moment. Even now he didn't expect to have an affinity towards two types of magic. In fact, it was rare for a commoner to be so blessed. Mercury and Shadow magic were the two gifted to Mania. He had just begun really practicing his magic, understanding the complexities of spell weaving was in itself a puzzle. The young rogue loved puzzles and mastering spell craft was to be one of the greatest for him to solve.
He would close the grimoire and hop off the bed to dress. Nothing fancy, a long white-sleeved collar shirt and gray trousers held by brown suspenders. Mania would roll the sleeves up and put on some black boots before slipping out of the room he rented for the night. Depending on how this job went, Mania might not stay put. There were some rumors he wanted to investigate, but traveling far took Yul. The rogue didn't have much to his name, the little he had was a cushion so he rarely if ever would use it. Instead, he relied on the plethora of small jobs he excelled at.
Boar's Tavern wasn't too far from where Mania had been shacking up at. Nope, right down the street. actually. Mania had his ear to the ground, listening for clues about the local, criminal underbelly. The rogue had a penchant for this type of work, so he knew which palms to grease and what person to know. Entering the establishment Mania would walk up to the barkeep, give him a slight nod before requesting the usual special. The barkeep would give Mania a subtle gesture towards the back room, the young rogue casually slipping out of sight. There was quite the small girl, she had a resting angry face. Mania had seen a lot of different folks who walked all kinds of life, but she was an oddity, to say the least. The larger man would greet Mania, filling him in about the job. It was simple, take out the escorts guarding the goods and bring them back to the mark. Mania would glance at the girl, staring her down with a blank expression whilst speaking.
"Names Mania, try not to get yerself whacked shorty."
Mania would joke, but judging by that look on her face she seemed capable enough. Taking a moment he would look over the details of the notes given to him by the big guy. They had everything they needed, including the route the goods would be carried past. The only thing unknown was the amount of Magic Knights that would be escorting the cargo. Hopefully not too many, Mania still hadn't learned how to manipulate his magic offensively and he had never fought vs trained military. There was a first for everything, but Mania was confident in his defensive magic. So he would do what he did best.
"Lets get going."
Mania would make for the back exit, slipping outside.
“Names Mania, try not to get yerself whacked shorty.”
This new individual said to Yemir shortly after getting the details of job ahead of them. Yemir normally would have shoved her fist into his face at the mention of her height but she was trying a new thing called, “Patience”, which had been a weird concept for her but it certainly helped with her getting her revenge against those that said stupid things to her like now. “Mature. A height joke on first meeting.” Yemir said back to her new companion, “Hope you can hold your own against the knights.” She casually mentioned as she waited for him to finish up reading about the task.
Mania took the lead and started to head towards the route they had been given about the supply escort. The knights would be moving the goods through the forest nearby along a route that wasn’t a really popular or busy road. They probably thought no one would be ballsy enough to attack the knights on the path and that would be the fatal flaw for Yemir and Mania to capitalize on. There was nothing better then getting the jump on a group of people who thought they were completely save from any kind of danger especially just due to their position in society. Yemir was sure there was plenty of “good” magic knights that didn’t lord their authority over people or made it seem like they were god’s gift to the world and everyone and their mother should be blessed and thankful that they are there to “protect” them from all the evils of the world.
As the grew close to forest Yemir spoke, “I don’t know if you have any kind of fighting experience, but I do know that if one of us causes a diversion to halt the group while the other attacks them as they are distracted it will easily put the fight into our advantage.” She said with confidence, there was plenty of times growing up that while she ran with the other urchins of the towns mugging a group people was always easier when you made people sympathetic to you. For some reason people let their guards down around “injured and helpless” children. “I can take the lead on being the distraction if you have confidence in your ability to cause damage.” Yemir finished with her bit of suggestion and planning. She was more then willing to be the front man on the attack since she was younger and a girl. Yemir was already thinking of how to go about and what story to spew to the knights, she would probably just act like a lost little girl who got separated from her family while traveling.
“Whatcha think?” Yemir said as she stared at Mania.
Mania proclaimed, he had figured from the permeant scowl on Yemir's face she wasn't the type who took kindly to such jests. Yemr had retorted with her own slick remark. Things like that didn't bother the rogue too much, in fact he would crack a smile at her words. "Well, we're gonna find out right partner?" Mania honestly didn't know, truthfully he knew better than to tango with a kingdoms trained military, but Mania wasn't about to pass up the chance to find out. Truth be told he had been looking to compare himself with some of the more prestigious mages in the land. He after all had the urge to expand his knowledge of magic - this opportunity being the perfect chance at testing his abilities. Mania knew little about Yemir, in fact, he was concerned she would kill the Magic Knights.
Mania wasn't opposed, but often murder lead to the unwanted gaze of people who didn't tolerate such sleights against their organization. If it came down to it though, Mania was sure he would do what needed to be done to make their mission a total success. That much was clear to the rogue. Yemir's voice would pull Mania from the depths of his mind and thoughts. She had made the suggestion she be the bait. It was a good plan, small girl like her plays the part of a lost child. It wouldn't definitely put the Magics Knights suspicions at ease as they would spring their trap, but the single flaw in her plan was Mania himself. The rogue wasn't an offensive type mage. Far from it to be exact as he specialized in Sensory / Defense magic. Studying Yemir's expression he didn't think the little firecracker would be too pleased about his revelation.
"Sounds good yeah... It would be a perfect plan, but my talents aren't so well... direct."
Mania replied flatly, playing with his words as he beat around the proverbial bush.
"I think we can still make it work, it'll just require a tad more acting on yer part. You can pretend to be lost or something while I hide in ambush. I'll make sure they don't lay a finger on yer head, though you look like you can pack a punch so I can simply play a supportive role?"
Offering his suggestion as they breached the forest's edge, getting closer and closer to their marks location. Whatever plan the duo was going to implement would need to be conceived quickly. Mania could make good on that end to say the least. The rogue was confident in his magic's defensive capabilities, so he as sure she'd be alright. The man thing would be if she could take at least one of the Magic Knights out. Mania was more than capable of stalling one of them he mused, but he would rather turn the odds in their favor. The two still didn't know how many Magic Knights would be present. That was the main concern for now along with the duos plan of action.
"So, What are ya thinking? I could always play the damsel myself...."
Mania playfully chimed as he awaited her response. Now that he thought about it, she hadn't gave him her name yet. Perhaps she was still salty about his earlier remarks or she could have had another reason entirely. Mania didn't want to dive into bad thoughts so he would can the notion. For now at least.
“What do you mean your talents aren’t direct?” Yemir questioned with a hint of annoyance. “You mean to tell me a big strapping young man as yourself can’t cast a bit of Attack magic?” She continued borderline shocked that someone wasn’t able to cast a lick of offensive spell, she didn’t know a soul that wasn’t able to shoot out a bit of “fuck you and here is a reason why” at someone. She shook her head accepting they might have to change the original plan, “Well nothing we can do about that then, alright we flip roles you get the escort to stop and I’ll deal cause the commotion.” Yemir explained, “Hope you are able to at least swing those lumps of meat attached at the end of your arms at someone.”
They were fully into the forest by this point and it was getting quite late, though Yemir was sure they hadn’t missed the escort yet since this was the route they were suppose to be taking and Mania and her had been on it from the get go. She just wasn’t sure how close they were so with a bit of haste she lead the way forward hoping to be able to find a suitable spot for the ambush, It needed plenty of cover that she wouldn’t be spotted by anyone with a pair of eagle eyes. Luckily, she was able to find the perfect spot not to far into the woods themselves.
“Alright rough yourself up a tad and figure out how your gonna play your role. I’m gonna be right over there.” She pointed to the general area of where she planned to hide, it was overgrown enough to hide her from sight and close enough that she would be able to attack quickly. “When they come to a stop I’ll take out the closest ones to me depending on how many there are.” Yemir continued, “Remember we need the supplies don’t destroy them and don’t let yourself get killed.” Nodding her head at Mania she booked it into her spot and she was quite lucky cause off in the distance she could hear the steps of a horse. Yemir would then activate a training technique that she had learned and mastered called “Cold-Blooded” to anyone in the area that knew she was there it would be as if she completely vanished. Not that she actually turned invisible she simply got rid of her presence and mana signature so unless the Knights spotted her somehow they wouldn’t even know she was there till hopefully it was to late.
IMPORTANT BITS: Yemir is using her perk Cold Blooded, it erases her presence and mana signature from both sensory and Ki abilities for 3 posts. This can be used twice a thread.

The young rogue could tell his partner had been annoyed. Her brimming anger choked the tension in the air, strangling it expertly like a skilled hitman. She had gone overboard in her berating, derisive speech directed at Mania. He wouldn't pay it too much mind, half-heartedly laughing it off. "Think I can manage a punch... maybe..." Mania jokingly teased as he would begin to roll around in the dirt. Covering himself he would lay out in the open road, waiting for their trap to be sprang! By now his partner at vanished, melding with forest. The rogue could tell because the mana signature she typically gave off had been completely gone - an aberration of the mind. The younger girl had talked to Mania as if her were her underling. The notion amused Mania, but he would abolish all thoughts as the sound of carriage drawn horses drew closer.
Mania's plan was a simple one. He would appear hurt on the road and hopefully draw their attention long enough for his partner to make a move. The rest Mania would simply have to adlib in the moment. Moments later the carriage would stop a few feet before Mania and two Magic Knights would slowly approach cautiously.
"Hey you alright over there kid?"
One of the two Magic Knights asked Mania as the rogue would groan upon the dirt path in the forest. Acting as if he were seriously injured. Mania was careful to wait for the opportune moment to act. The Magic Knights were both from the Crimson Lions. Mania could tell as he peered from his own position, peeking through his bang and beret because of the red-colored magic mantles they wore. The one who spoke first would kneel down and reach out for Mania. This would be the time for his partner to step in because the ruse was just about up. Mania would spring to his feet, attempting a swing at the man. He would leap back and immediately they would take a defensive position - ready to wield magic at a moment's notice.
"Whats the meaning of this, you'll be arrested you fool!"
The other Magic Knight retorted as they both focused upon Mania who had summoned his grimoire at the ready.
"Sorry, but I'm a bit skittish when folks try to touch me. Especially Magic Knight hypocrites!"
Mania barked vehemently, as he attempted to blindly force the two into action.
"You low born filth. You'll pay for your folly!"
They would both shoot gusts of wind at Mania, but the rogue was lithe on his feet as he sidestepped them easily. The two Magic Knights would scowl at Mania, a coy smile pressing the young rogue's lips.
"What's your goal peasant?"
"Should be obvious, I didn't know Magic Knights were so stupid."
Here it was, they were so easily riled that they begin channeling for a powerful offensive spell, but Mania would be ready. This was the girl's best chance to act, now that Mania had completely stolen the spotlight. Both Magic Knights unleashed a storm of gusts and gales upon the rogue's location. Mania was prepared to react though.
"Mercury Magic: Marrow of the Moon!
Mercury magic would be summoned and congeal around Mania in a large sphere-like shape. The liquid state would absorb the first and harden completely around Mania like a protective cocoon. Mania watched carefully from his sanctuary as they pummeled more and more wind magic into his defense.
Name of Spell: Mercury Magic: Marrow of the Moon Elemental Type: Mercury Rank & Spell Type: Junior | Defense Creation Range & Speed: 10 m AOE | 10 m/s Mana Cost: 8 | 4 Stats Effected: -- Applicable Perks: Mana Conservationist, Aegis Description: Mania creates a large pool of mercury magic that he can manipulate into a smooth semi-spherical dome around himself. This mass of mercury maintains its semi-liquid state, only hardening upon impact from an enemy spell. Mania upon casting can also choose to expand this ability, protecting anything inside the 10 m AOE radius. The Magic doesn't completely envelop Mania or friendly allies, instead, the front has a gap for Mania or others to maintain the vision of targets, but can close up if needed to defend. Spell is activated by speaking the spell's name aloud.
Well it seemed that at least Mania’s acting ability was up to par as Rogue was able to distract the two magic knights pretty well. It allowed Yemir to easily get into a better position to sneak up on the unsuspecting idiots. The knights had approached Mania trying to figure out what was wrong with the boy and why they were out here and everything had been fine right up till he tried to swing on one of the knights. Though it didn’t connected and just put them both on guard it was still better then nothing since that meant they weren’t paying attention to their rear and that was exactly what Yemir needed. She slowly slipped out of her hiding spot, Mania would be able to see her casually exit from behind the overgrowth with a smile on her face her Grimoire open and ready for use.
Yemir started casting two of her spells Needle summoning two needle shaped objects that ranged in size of 1 meter by .5 meter. Making the motion with her hand as if it was some type of gun she shot the needles at the Knights hitting them both in the back piercing their bodies dealing Junior damage to both. She didn’t allow there to be any space between the attack and finished casting her second spell Shadow’s Caestus holding her hands out wide they were wrapped in a shadowy flame that engulfed her hands forming guantlets of sorts as she immediately rushed the dazed Knights striking the first Knight upon the back of the head killing him and slugging the other across the face ending that life also.
“There we go, that wasn’t to hard now was it?” Yemir smiled at her companion as she allowed her mana to dissipate and recover. Yemir was quick to take one of the knight’s mantle for herself. She knew it wouldn’t work for her and was basically just some useless cloth but it was from the first Knight she had killed with her own hands and she planned to keep a memento of this moment. “You can take the other if you wish.” Yemir said to Mania as she begun to drag the body of one of the Knights into the overgrowth making sure to hide the tracks and signs off the path. She knew that no one would be through here any time soon but eventually someone would come looking for these knights and she didn’t’ want to make it easy for them. “Hide the other body and lets get these supplies to the client.” She pointed out as she started to get on the carriage to drive it to where they needed to deliver them too. Once Mania took care of the body or just got on the carriage she would drive to where they needed to go and upon being told the job was complete would look at Mania, “Well that was fun we should do this again sometime.” Yemir said with the same smile she wore when killing the Knights as she then left the building and went on her way.
TLDR: Yemir casted 2 Junior Spells using 20 mana, She regenned 5 of that. She used Needle to summon 2 Needles and dealt Junior Damage to both Knights then casted Shadow's Caestus hitting both of them once more to deal another Junior damage killing them both. She took the mantle off one of the Crimson lions as a memento and knows it is nothing but cloth to her and can't be used as an Item.

Yemir can summon more Needles in accordance with the Ammo Rules.

She was out for blood, Mania couldn't help but picture his partner as a tiny murder bot. Everything she did was precise, almost eerily robotic, and engineered of malicious intent. She was exactly the firecracker Mania surmised in her first assessment of the small girl. She dispatched the two Magic Knights like a seasoned killer. It all seemed too easy and though Mania did not do the job himself, he played a part in their death. The rogue had seen plenty of death within his eighteen years of life. The scene playing out almost exactly like this one, just replace his partner and you had his childhood. All wrapped up and presented for Mania as if mocking him derisively. The girl's smile was wide and creepy almost as if she was bloodlusted. Mania knew she felt no remorse. Held no pity for those Magic Knights whose life she had so readily ended. Deep down, the rogue knew he was of the same complexion and their life but a cast of the stone. In an endless sea of mortality.
The young girl would take one of the men's Magic Knight mantles, claiming it as a trophy of sorts. The act shed even further light on the enigma before him. Mania's mind crunching the numbers, finding the small connections that would give the rogue meaningful insight. Releasing his magic the mercury would liquefy and crumble as it faded from around Mania. He noticed her magic was a peculiarity. Dark flames that looked menacing. Never before had he encountered such a mage. He would shelf his current thoughts. Leaving them to be gone through later, when he could decompress. "Could come in handy..." Mania responded, taking the crimson Magic Knight mantle. He would have other uses for it, maybe in the future when subterfuge would be a necessity. She was all business, telling Mania to dispose of the body as she begin to move hers. Mania would do as she had instructed and discard the deceased man somewhere off the beaten path.
Mania was sure to cover his trail, leaving no evidence to be discovered. The Magic Knight's body would be compost for the earth. Probably doing more good than ever before Mania mused, making his way back to his partner. As the pair rode off she would flash him that same devilish smile, chilling the rogue's breath as he coolly replied speciously.
Mania took a Magic Knight Mantle knowing it was just cloth and not an item. TLDR: Mania simply acted as a decoy and used his defense magic as protection.

Congrats, the magic knights are dead. However, the Clover Kingdom has noticed its supply route was interrupted. Crimson Lions seems to be missing two of its members. Suspicion rises and the underground scene stirs. Killing a magic knight is a dastardly offense. An investigation takes place eventually and their bodies are discovered and returned to their families for a proper burial. The families of the magic knights born of biology and friendship alike mourn for their fallen. They curse the heavens and ask for their killers to be brought to justice. However, whoever the culprit(s) are remains to be found. In the meantime the supply routes have once again been adjusted.
Some from the underground know of what they've asked of you and what you've done. After all, confirmation of a job in the underground always takes place. Murmurs and rumors lace the tongues among the criminal underground. Your rep has a bit more to it now, you can take pride in those infamous rumors, but whom among them know if it's true, besides you two?
The killing of the duo of magic knights is FIRST DEGREE and as such those murderous deeds net you both | +6 Infamy
Stealing the supplies is ROBBERY that nets you both | +2 Infamy
