They say time could change a man.

However, Mania thought time gave a man more time to stick to his habits, pursue his vices. Mania was no exception, since he left Spade Kingdom he had kept on the path of a mischievous rogue. The thought of being assimilated into the system or doing an honest day of work hadn't crossed Mania's mind in the slightest. He quite enjoyed this life, even if it was frowned upon by society. Work had been coming in steadily since Mania had been staying in the Common Region for the past month. He had made a few connections here and there who connected the rogue with useful contacts. Though the jobs he was getting had been escalating in both danger and complexity. Mania was by no means a killer, though he'd come close quite a few times, he preferred the more incognito jobs. Ones that wouldn't get him a wrap for being a contracted killer.

"It's a part of the life... inevitable..."

That time would eventually come he thought as he took a long drag of his cigarette.

"Its a nice day..."

Mania internally proclaimed as he exhaled - his eyes fixed on the passerby who slowly rolled past. The rogue would exhale, shifting his weight to the left side as he leaned against the wall of a shop. The weather was just right, cool and the air smelled of the coming harvest. It was about time he started his day for real now as he discarded the cigarette and pressed the bud into the ground. Mania would lower the beret he was wearing before placing his hands into his pockets. Melding with the people on the streets, Mania headed towards an area that had a little more criminal activity going on. To those who know, this was the spot that was currently the hottest in town. They had the good stuff and it was moving quickly through various channels. The job paid decent and best of all was easy enough. Just don't get caught. The only parameter for an almost impossible failure. In about ten minutes Mania had navigated through town, turning down the long alley he'd end up behind a large store. A guy who looked especially shaded was standing idle, smoking a cigar.

Mania approached the guy slowly.

"Poverty is the parent of revolution and crime."

"I see."

The man said as he stepped towards Mania. It would be a smooth, seamless pass off of the rogue pocketing the goods. They were standing side by side for just a brief moment.

"Took you long enough, towns abuzz right now. Been harder for us to operate, to be honest, the town has been under vigilant watch from the authorities. Better keep your wits about you, we're both in trouble if you can't make good on the delivery. The last guy, we had got whacked trying to fight his way past the guards."

"I ain't him."

Mania's tone was dead serious, he had no plans on being caught, let alone not breezing through such an easy job. Mania had been doing gopher work like this since he was a child, but it seemed here either there was a vice grip on crime within Clover or the people here were simply soft.

"Whatever, just make sure it gets to the mark safely or the Boss will for us to pay for his loss.

Walking away Mania waved him off while looking forward, exiting the open space in between the alleyway. No matter how tight security was, staying incognito was the rogue's specialty. Now if his mark was compromised and the law was lying in wait to ambush him. Mania would be in serious trouble, but that was the worst-case scenario and for Mania, those never really came to be for him. Back out and onto the street Mania would blend with normal people walking by. There were more guards that much had been certain, he had made a note of that as he entered this part of town. It would be a long way to the mark, he was far off to the other side of town. The guards appeared to be especially antsy as they strutted around the lower end of town. They were enforcing their appointed authority, waving it around all boastful and pridefully. The scene disgusted Mania - the common folk powerless to do anything as they were pushed around.

Mania wouldn't stare too long, pushing forward with a small group of passersby he would go unnoticed by the guards - like a shadow in the day. Mania was drawing closer, but the patrolling guards seemed to swell in numbers as they marched along their patrol path. Whoever was behind moving this stuff more than likely was being monitored by the Kingdom. It was the only explanation he could draw from his current understanding. He probably caught the eye of some powerful people and they have been pressuring and cornering him at every move. His time at the top was probably coming to its finality. Maybe it would be Mania's last time pushing this stuff. If it was that'd be a tough loss for Mania, he'd been collecting easy Yul from this easy job. There would always be work though, so Mania would dwell on the thought too long. Mania would stall for a bit as some guards were idling down the path he needed to take.

The rogue would peruse the nearby stalls, keeping an eye out for their movements. They weren't alerted by Mania in the slightest though as he smoothly moved closer and closer before finding the opportune time to make past them. He had slipped in with a woman and her two children, a group of farmers who just finished working all day, and a florist who stocked up on some supplies. The guards paid no attention to the group and Mania continued, arriving at the drop-off. There was a bench by a small park area that was filled with trees. Mania would take a seat, lighting a smoke as he sat back and took a puff, he would look disinterested as he waited patiently. Soon another would show up sitting next to Mania he'd continue looking ahead, Mania's gaze straight ahead.

"You know the greatest sin against the people?"

They spoke low, obviously asking for the appropriate secret phrase.

"Poverty is the parent of revolution and crime."

The rogue smoothly replied, fetching the goods from his inner coat pocket and discreetly leaving it where he was sitting. In the same motion, he would rise to his feet, never looking back as he made off.
