The underworld meeting within Kikka had come to an end, the request was a simple one the execution of it not so much, it hadn't exactly helped the raven haired necromancer that her elder brother decided to turn up at the meeting. She was glad that he didn't make a fuss, but then, he knew better. He wasn't like her, he was favoured and given love and attention by their father, he was educated and given free reign to do as he saw fit without anyone questioning him. Yet, her brother Ryoshi still chose to walk the same path as she did. She was sure it was because then he could get away with releasing his sadistic nature and no one batting an eyelid. The thing was, he still resented her because for all that she was broken she could still do this job better than him and they both knew it.
She didn't understand why this was the case originally, not until her wraiths helped her understand. He learned to read, to write, to speak, he was given freedoms and comforts she wasn't and so she had to fight to survive and gain the little she had, she was raised to be one thing... a shadow. She thought of how Echo had acted and was wondering if he was going to get himself killed doing this before thinking of her brother once more and her future as she and Jin left Kikka and walked towards their destination within the Royal Capital. Soon enough she came to a full stop hugging her grimoire to her chest, her eyes looking around the area to make sure they were truly alone and she didn't want to call the stark haired void user by his name around others, it wasn't how they worked.
After a moment she bit her lip wanting to play it safe "J..." she said quietly looking to him "Not want..." she muttered knowing those two words would mean little to the other without more context. "Not home..." she continued trying to tell him that she no longer wanted to return back to her home. She was now starting to get use to the freedoms she had with Jin, she was also slowly understanding that even if she did make a mistake that Jin would be understanding and not hit or punish her in any way. This had nothing to do with her 'day job' but more her struggling with things others took for granted on a day to day basis. She had started holding the cover of her grimoire to her chest rather than outward for the world to see, she was also more careful on when claiming her 'family members'.
She understood her magic was rare and unusual so it would be easy for people to remember her if they saw it, so with Jin's guidence she adapted. She smiled a little "Work... survive... together?" she asked, she knew it was something they had agreed upon before but she wanted to make sure he was okay with it being more than just temporary like it was before. If he said no she'd be sad and understand, she would seek out her brother and go home because she knew without someone's support she would end up just giving in to his demands and being punished for her disobedience, on the other hand, if he said yes she would remain how she was trying to better herself with each passing moment. She knew it wasn't the fastest progress known to man but she was getting better at doing simple things like choosing what she wanted to eat or just having comfort as she slept. With that she would continue walking once more unless Jin had questions of his own, of course, it be difficult for her to let him know clearly but as with everything else she would try her best.

And so they were on their way to the Royal Capital to complete this job they were sent to do. This would be the first time he had tried stealing something in the Royal Capital. He had been to it before, but not to do anything illegal mainly just to check it out. His mother was always nervous about doing jobs in the Capital, for obvious reasons if she did send someone to complete a job in the capital it was done extremely under the radar. It was also very very rare. For the most part though Jin was looking forward to this, it would serve as a nice test of his skills with the possibility of figuring out more this Eclipse Ravens.
But the white haired rogue stopped walking when Aeila suddenly stopped as well, clutching her grimoire to her chest harder than usual. Something was up that much was obvious, she looked around to make sure no one is nearby and only said the letter J followed by a 'Not want.' it left him a little confused at first because he wasn't sure what she didn't want. She was probably nervous about this job they were about to undertake, which was understandable. It was a very risky job. Then she said 'Not home' and then things became more clear. She was talking about the job, she was talking about her home. Perhaps the sudden arrival of her brother spurred a change in mind, it made sense. She was determined to get back home so much so before, but now things have changed.
If Jin was being honest it was only a matter of time, before she gained the courage to change her mind on this matter. This step she was about to take was a very big one, she was now making a decision that would change the rest of her life. Just like he did over a year ago, when he decided to leave his home and his siblings behind. Well not behind for good, he had a long term plan that involved all of his brothers and sisters but that plan was still a long ways out. Jin had a serious look on his face and his piercing blue eyes looked right at Aeila. A memory of Jin pleading with one of his younger sisters to come with him appeared in his mind just for a second. He bent low to look at the necromancer eye to eye. "Are you sure? That is a very big decision to make." he said to her trying to make sure, she understood what exactly it was she was doing. She probably truly started to think about the horrors she would be facing going back to her home, and it wasn't worth it. Jin didn't know the exact details of what her life was like before, but at the same time he did kind of know. Only because they were so similar in that way, but it did seem his upbringing was more a twisted and insane replica of a loving home. Hers was more of a vile imprisonment. But they both wanted freedom from it all. For Jin saving Aiela was his first step in saving the rest of his family.
A smile was on her face as she repeated the words he said not to long ago. "Work, survive, together." Jin said in unison then a smile appeared on his face as he patted her head. "I'm happy you changed your mind." he said before standing back up completely. And he truly was, he had grown fond of the particular girl she still had allot to learn when it came to basic social encounters and reading and speaking comfortably. But she was making progress in her way. "Ha you know this mean you’re stuck with me and my bad jokes." Jin said with a light little laugh. "Well alright then, now that is out the way we've got a job to finish, and before we get to close we should come with a plan to see it happen." Jin said starting think of the multiple ways to get this information the agent asked for.

❝My light [break]is brighter [break]than the sun!❞
[attr="class","echotemp] Once Echo had left the bar he would wait in the shadows, hoping to see two people in particular. When he had gone in he had saw that many people he knew or at least crossed paths with were there, and so he had decided it would be best if he teamed up with somebody to make the job easier than it sounded. Echo was no thief by trade, his criminal expertise was more along the lines of straight up murder and enforcement but for this he would have to find a way to adapt. [break][break] As he sat outside of the bar he would think to himself about which one of the people he knew was he going to try and force himself upon. Just as he was sitting in thought he would see the rogues A and J leaving the establishment, where they would then begin to make their way towards the capital. Echo wasn’t very pressed on joining them, mainly because of his slight dislike of J. He didn’t have anything against the man, it was more so just the man’s attitude towards certain situations such as him not wanting to even slightly trust the red head. [break][break] Echo would watch them walk as they would head towards their destination, and after a few moments Echo would decide to follow them. As he followed behind he would leave a good amount of space between them all making sure to not give away the fact he was trailing. Such an act of stalking one’s ‘prey’ was very typical for a hunter such as himself so this was probably the easiest thing he would do all night. He would stay trailing the duo for a while before suddenly they would stop, which would prompt Echo to also stop in his tracks. [break][break] Echo was too far to clearly hear what was going on but he could tell they were having a conversation of some sort. He was intending to just sit and wait until they started moving again to continue his stalking, but he instead decided to approach them now while they had stopped to talk. As Echo made his approach he would come from a spot in which J or A would have been able to see him if they didn’t turn their heads. As he got closer the first thing he heard was J saying how A would be stuck with him and his bad jokes forever. This was Echo’s entryway into the conversation where he would insert a quick line trying to be funny. [break][break] “Bad jokes? I like bad jokes because they are usually pretty corny. Most people don’t know but corny jokes are always the funniest….” Echo would then stop a few meters away from them. He would at first simply look at the duo before he would say “Well I guess a proper introduction should be made. I mean you guys know me but its been a while since you’ve seen me. So how’s it going in case you forgot im Echo. Imma keep this short and sweet because we all got stuff to do tonight am I right?” Echo would take a brief pause before he would turn his back to the duo, taking a few steps away as he looked off into the night sky. [break][break] “This kinda doesn’t sit right with me but even with all the power I have gotten for this moment im still not able to do this without the help of others… So this is me asking you two for help. But lets make sure we all understand I am still capable of holding my own weight.” Echo would stop talking allowing the two to get some words in. He knew the two would probably have a lot of push back on the prospect of working with him, as Echo seemed to be looked at by all his fellow rogues as reckless. However he would be willing to follow someone else’s lead this once just so he could get another step closer to his goal. [break][break] “Listen, im willing to follow whatever lead you guys put up. I just really need to make my way into Eclipse Raven! I need whatever help I can to see the magic knights all burn in hell! So what do you two say? Can we team up even if only this once?”
The raven-haired necromancer looked to the taller stark-haired male as he took in her broken words and tried to comprehend what she was getting at. He was used to her way of speech by now and so it didn't take him long to decipher what others may have seen as some sort of weird short speech code. When he spoke about this was a big decision and if she was sure she wanted to make it she looked at her grimoire holding it so tight that her knuckles went whiter than her already sickly visage as she shook, remembering how many times her brother stood on it and how he threatened to harm it and those inside it all as a twisted and sadistic game. She wanted to let tears fall but knew better than to allow something like that to happen, she looked at him and nodded "Yes. Sure." she said with confidence.
The wraiths she slowly had and still was collecting were her family and she wanted to protect them from harm even if it put her in the way of it. She was coming to realize she had never really had anyone care for her outside of her wraiths, but then she had always been protective of them even before that, it was almost instinctual to her to protect them though she never understood why. She was scared about turning her back on her family and home but this step was one that would protect her family and herself in the long run and that was what she needed. Jin had been nothing but patient with her and her odd quirks but she guessed even if his upbringing wasn't as extreme he had been raised in a similar way. Obey your orders and failure was met with severe punishment.
"Understand what mean." she said clarifying to him that she understood what it meant and that if she ever did return home that it wouldn't bear well for her but she was willing to take the risk. It was only when he said the three words that almost became a mantra to the pair and pet her head that her grip on her grimoire loosened a bit. The progress had been painfully slow but she was still progressing into becoming somewhat adjusted to her new life with Jin and Fredrick. When he said she was stuck with him and his bad jokes now she just blinked as she still didn't really understand jokes, most of the time they went completely over her head and they both knew it. She knew eventually she would understand them and perhaps could laugh alongside him and hoped that it would happen someday soon.
She nodded he was right they did have a task to finish and they were both efficient with things due to their upbringing, still, this little conversation that they had was something that was needed at least on her part. It was when she was about to say something that another voice was heard, a familiar one to them both. She closed her eyes for a moment, she disliked being followed and it was exactly what the redhead had done, more than that he had eavesdropped which even the broken mage understood was rude. She gave him a sidewards glance her facial expression showing she was less than impressed with his intrusion more so when it was to do with something personal. "No follow. No trust." it was that simple to her she hated being followed, Jin himself had found that one out personally because in their case to her it meant he didn't trust her.
In this case, she just didn't trust Echo, he was a liability. She understood there were times that you needed to play the part and give your name but in a place surrounded by rogues, that wasn't one of them. He could have played it off that it was a transformation or an illusion, even played it off that he got that a lot but no, he had proudly proclaimed that he was indeed Echo Jaegar. To her, it just seemed like he enjoyed getting his ego stroked which in their line of work was not good, in their line of work they needed to remain under the radar because it would be too easy to put themselves and anyone you cared for in danger due to your life decisions. Luckily everyone she cared for with the exception of Jin was already dead so she didn't have that same worry.
She looked at Jin as Echo spoke about keeping it short and sweet because they had things to do that evening, it was true that every rogue that attended that meeting did but that didn't mean that he had to do it with them; again, he was a liability and was even called on it by the agent within the tavern. "Power means nothing in tasks." she said shaking her head "Often dangerous because false safety." she said looking back at Echo tilting her head a little "You not safe with." she said showing she believed he was dangerous to be around thanks to his want to be known and she honestly didn't want to be dead any time soon, especially due to someone's self-importance. "You strong but no smart" she said not holding back her punches because if they did agree it was also them who would be taking a hit for his slip-ups.
"Weapons come different forms and sizes, you have one big, noisy weapon. You not choose right fit for task." she explained to try and help him understand that rogues needed to be careful and use the right tactics for the task they had taken on and not use a sledgehammer for them all and hope it all works out for the best. "We teach but only if listen." she was willing to help him understand the world he seemed to have stumbled into if he was really serious and wanted to improve, she didn't really do well with the living but she was at least trying, if nothing else if he did something stupid that got himself killed she could claim his body and they could be with each other forever which didn't seem to bad to her.
She looked at the red-head as he once again spoke, he had so much hatred for a bunch of people he had no connection to, she had been at the magic knight exams. It had been painful due to her light sensitivity but Fredrick thought it was important for her to understand the legal side of things or at least how they were chosen. "Anger, hatred... muddy water... make mistakes..." she said looking to Jin, she held no ill-will to anyone wearing a mantle as their decisions never affected her, they were just making their way through life in the best way they thought possible as she, Jin or anyone else did. She did admire them in some way as they had decided to put their lives on the line to protect those who couldn't but she also knew that would mean when they fell it would be more tragic than if she ever did.
She was one who already walked in the darkness, someone walking in the light only for their misdeeds to be found out? It would crack and break the fragile mask and expectations held on the magic knights. It almost made her feel guilty that she was taking part in lifting that mask, but, she was also trained to follow orders she had accepted to the letter and to do it efficiently. This had already taken longer than she and likely Jin would have liked, but, then again, sometimes things like this did pop up unexpectedly but it didn't matter if there was a deadline or an expectation on them. "If work with means always follow lead until learn properly." it was that simple to the dark-haired necromancer, she and Jin were raised in such a way fuck ups weren't tolerated and the fallout for even a slight one or not getting it done quick enough was never a good outcome. When Jin had said his peace and a decision made she once again walked towards the capital.

Jin had an honest smile when Aeila stated she understood what he meant. She had probably just made one of the biggest decisions in her life by deciding not to go back home. But this choice she made to not go back, but to stay with him was a huge responsibility. Now they both had to trust each other with their lives, and Jin would not let her down.
But his smile quickly vanished when his sensory alerted him of someone nearby that had been following them. Of course the average mana presence was no reason to cause any alarm, but he recognized this one as a familiar one that he was hoping not to see again. He started to walk forward from a position he could easily be spotted, so he did not want to come off threatening. It was the liability Echo Jaeger now his full name was known to numerous rogues, not the best thing in the world but he probably didn't care about that. Jin's blue eyes had rolled in annoyance thanks to his presence and his eavesdropping. "Are they now?" Jin asked his rhetorical question after Echo's comments on corny bad jokes. The white haired rogue stood up straight and placed both hands in his jacket pockets his eyes never leaving Echo's own eyes.
"We don't know you, we only know of you and your full name now Echo Jaeger. But that doesn't mean we know you." Jin said quickly to the Jaeger he made it clear that they were not on comfortable terms. Just like their first interaction Echo seemed to believe that a simple exchange in some fake names and dialogue meant you truly knew someone. That line of thought would get you killed, his mother taught him and all his siblings that at a very young age. The red head continued speaking on the power he had gotten and still not being able to complete this all on his own. It was admirable that he saw things that way, but his ego was still far to large. Aeila had stated a phrase he was familiar with about people following her. A chuckle left his lips. "Yea she really doesn't like people following her, trust me."
The Jaeger continued basically keeping it short like he said he would and made it pretty clear he was asking for help in getting this job done. Based on Aeila's replies she as not fond of the idea, she didn't speak much most times only when she felt she really had to. But she was like Jin, any person or thing that got in the middle of messing up a job she didn't like at all. In fact all her responses Jin had agreed with completely, when she stated that 'Power means nothing in tasks' Jin waved one finger in the air casually with a smirk on his face as if she was preaching. "She's right. Your delusion in your 'power' gives you a false sense of security. It will get you killed in this world. You’re better off looking for more your... friends in the magic knight squads or even the church." Jin said half jokingly but also half seriously.
When Aeila gave her comparison of Echo to a big loud noisy weapon Jin had a big smile on his face as he imitated loud big explosions with his arms. Then waved no with one finger when she said he did not make right choices during these tasks. "Have you ever given thought to being a Crimson Lion, they would love someone like you. Full of pride and ego and strength! You could be like the second coming of Lydia Ravencrest with your fancy light magic." Jin said in a joking matter, teasing him. "Aaaahh you don't like the magic knights. I wonder why? " Jin said tapping the end of his chin. Jin and Aeila personally had no issues with magic knights or any other factions for that matter, to them they were all just doing a job at the end of the day. Of course there was some rotten eggs in the magic knights, but you’re going to find rotten eggs no matter where you go. "But yea revenge, anger hatred it makes you sloppy. Don't get me wrong, I get it wanting to get even. But there is a time and a place for that. You get me?"
Then suddenly Jin's aura had changed from joking to deadly serious. "My colleague has said she is willing to teach you. Meaning we don't trust you, we don't trust your methods, and we don't trust your actions. For a job like this it doesn't matter how strong your spell is, the only thing that matters is this." Jin said using one finger to lightly tap his temple referring to the mind. "No big fancy light tricks until you are told to do so and the situation calls for it, which if all things go well it will not call for it. Do you understand?" Jin asked him his tone hard and extremely serious. He would not move a muscle until Echo agreed to this, taking him was an extreme chance he usually would never agree to. But maybe he felt bad for the guy. Once he got Echo's agreement, they would continue walking towards the capital.

❝My light [break]is brighter [break]than the sun!❞
[attr="class","echotemp] As expected neither A or J were very warm to the idea of Echo joining them for the task. It seemed that Echo just carried a baad reputation as a rogue at this point, but honestly his reputation did not matter to him at this point. He would simply ignore all such things until he had been given time to showcase his talents on a grand stage and establish himself as the alpha, until then he would play along with the passive sheep games. Besides at this point he truly did need them as A and J would serve as the tools to turn Echo from a hunter into what he was truly meant to be. [break][break] The two would both say that if he agreed to follow their lead and do what was needed only when it was needed that he could come along. Echo was nobody used to taking lead from anyone else but this time he would have no choice but to accept the terms of what was placed in front of him. He would look at the two and let off a devil like grin as he would say “Ha you guys sure drive a hard bargain… but sure I’ll follow you two. I’ll do whatever it takes to get into Eclipse Raven even if it means listening to you two for the night.” [break][break] Although what he said sounded very rude and sarcastic, Echo was truly genuine in what he meant and said, as he was truly willing to do anything to get into the Eclipse Ravens. He needed them and everything they could potentially offer if he was to ever have any chance of taking down the magic knights. What they said about him being blinded by anger and hatred wasn’t entirely true but it also wasn’t completely false, as Echo saw nothing but red now. He wanted to make sure that the knights and everything they stood for would fall, and in turn create a new sort of order in the world. A order that wasn’t dictated by social class would be ideal but such a thing would never happen as long as figures and organizations such as the king and magic knights continued on. [break][break] “So now that I have agreed I think we should all get going yes? We are already behind judging from the time you all left out the bar. Also having this conversation any longer without putting any progress in our walk also doesn’t help. I suggest now that we have settled that we continue onward.” After he said this Echo would begin walking towards the capital putting him a few steps ahead of A and J as they would soon begin to walk also. As the group would begin to walk towards the capital once again Echo would think back to the conversation and how the two both seemed to have so little regard for his power, going as far as to saying he had was delusional about it. Such a thing just made him curious to pose a question. [break][break] “So back there you two said power means nothing… why is it that you think that? How can you say power means nothing in a world where only the strongest survive? On the night you two met me, I killed a man… do you know why?” He would wait a few moments allowing for the two to guess and speculate before he would come back and say “Well mainly because I was paid to do it but he didn’t survive because he wasn’t strong enough to sop me from killing him. And that’s why strength matters so all that talk you guys got saying otherwise is trash… but I still respect you both for having an opinion.” [break][break] It was clearly that tonight would be a bit of a rough night if Echo and his temporary team stayed like this but hopefully things would smooth out before they would actually get to their destination. After several minutes Echo would look to Jin and say “So what’s the plan for when we get there? I know we won’t be fighting anyone but im sure you have some plan for how we will go about getting this information.” He would then look at the white haired man intently as he waited for a response.
Aelia walked silently towards the Royal Capital, she honestly wasn't one for speaking unless she had to which Jin already knew about. It just meant when she did choose to speak it was important and held more of an impact. With the agreements made it didn't seem like there was much more need for talk at least on her part, she wasn't happy at the fact that the other was still acting as if he was on some high horse. To her that made him little more than a loose cannon and a wildcard something, the normal duo didn't take kindly to as it meant their efficiency would take a hit because they were currently babysitting someone who had fallen down the rabbit hole and thought that it was all giggles and fun. It was then the raven-haired necromancer stopped in her tracks glaring at the redhead.
"Lesson one. Underworld laws... order..." she said trying to get him to understand that even though it wasn't conventional laws like those who worked on the straight and narrow out in the open, there was still some form of structure with a pecking order in this world. "Not obey... not listen..." she moved her index finger over her throat to show that it would make a person very dead very quick. "You not predator... you poser... prey for predator." she explained that currently, he was nothing more than a little boy trying to play assassin and thief, there couldn't have been more than a few years between the three of them but he was still very much a newborn in the world of darkness even if he and his ego believed otherwise and his next question just proved it. She went silent and walked as she tried to form the words required to help him understand.
"We not say strength not needed..." she began "Strength needed... but time... place for" she said trying to get him to understand that they weren't undermining him and his accomplishments it's just that in a lot of their tasks there would be no need for that kind of strength but there were times it, of course, would be needed especially if being an enforcer. Those types of jobs of course she could do but she rather not if she could avoid it. She wasn't really built for brute force but espionage and assassination as was seen by her sickly lithe frame. Though she had been living better she still didn't look like she was getting much better from when she and Jin first met but this might be because she still didn't really go out in the light much but that had everything to do with her light sensitivity.
"Strong not always survive... strong have big targets on back... gain enemies." she said calmly as she walked once more seeing the royal capital encroaching with each and every step. She was trying to show him known strength brought nothing but issue and painted a giant target on a persons back that every enemy would try and take a shot at regardless of how small that slight was. "Also different strength." she muttered letting him know there was more than one kind of strength out there and they weren't all physical, but they did come with their own issues. "Need know when use and not use... you impulsive... not good." she said hoping to get him to understand that he done as he wished regardless of fallout and in this world, it wasn't a good method of thinking, it would cause nothing but issues for him and anyone around him.
"Fredrick strong." she said her voice almost holding a growl in it her eyes narrowed with killer intent at that moment, Jin would have learned very quickly that the raven-haired necromancer was very protective in regards to her 'family' and wouldn't allow anyone to bad mouth or hurt them. "Not physical... political." she explained her voice still aggressive as she spoke, she stopped just before the gates "It is not our way of thinking that is trash but your own." she said her mind seemingly fixing itself for the moment "You who allowed yourself to be played like a puppet by a bad man because you likely have daddy issues. Boohoo daddy didn't show you enough attention and sent you a way to get stronger." she stopped herself and shook her head for a moment, he still had a life that both she and Jin would have favoured over their own upbringings.
She knew better than to divulge too much information on herself or Jin but he would now know she knew a lot more on him, information that even Jin wouldn't likely have known she had. This was thanks to the man he had killed that was now part of her family. With that, she walked in without another word and towards the royal archives, she stopped however and held her head within one of her hands as if in agonizing pain but let out not a sound. When it passed she took a few breaths before changing where she was walking to, she started taking a detour towards where the royal balls normally took place. The archives themselves were heavily tended to but there was a passageway she seemed to know about thanks to that shooting pain that was less well known and so would be easier to get to their end destination.
It wouldn't be too long till she opened the well-concealed door that looked like part of the wall and looked at Jin "Less protected." she said notifying him that this would be the best point of breaching the archives "I use pixie sticks unless..." she looked at Echo for a moment and tilted her head "Use maps?" she would enquire to see if the third wheel actually had some versatility in him that made him less loud but then she realized that if he did use maps they could still have issues because of the light "J map used shroud?" she asked him to see if he could use his own element to at least dim if not null the light it would emit so only they could see it, if this wasn't viable she would indeed call her fairy wraiths to be her lookouts for them in regards to the guards so they could get to where they needed to without having too many difficulties.

As they were walking towards the Capitol Jin was already regretting the decision of letting Echo tag along. He truly didn't really like it from the beginning, and now that a few minutes have passed he didn't like it even more. Because of his upbringing Jin wasn't used to working with amateurs in this line of work, he only worked with his siblings who were just as trained as he was if not better like his sister Varia and Brother Kiro. From what it seemed Echo had the power but lacked the smarts, which was dreadful to deal with. What made the white haired rogue roll his eyes was Echo's comments on power, it was as if everything had to be explained to him like a child. Echo continued telling a story about how he killed someone because he was stronger and the mean was weak, so that obviously meant power was everything.
"Are you really asking that?" Jin said rubbing his temples, obviously annoyed. "I didn't think this needed to be stated but apparently it does. We mean in our world, the emphasis in our. Not the world the magic knights live in, or the church. The world that we belong to, being who we are." Jin said referring to Aeila and himself. He was talking about being a rogue, and living as a criminal. Being a rogue was like living in entirely different world than other people. "Your ego it needs to be stroked I guess. We're not saying power means nothing in the entire sense, cause that would be idiotic. But your mind, your way of thinking is just as important as a fancy light spell you can throw around when doing jobs like this." Jin said referring to the Capital they were about to approach. "What happens when you kill the wrong person here? Allot of people allot more powerful than you, will find you and that would be the end of Echo Jaeger. Unless you're strong enough to fight the entirety of the magic knights. But if you’re that strong there's no reason for you to listen to us." Jin said with a chuckle.
"Basically doing what we do power will get you far, but your mind will get you allot farther. Don't ignore it. You didn't kill him cause you were stronger, you killed him because he was dumb enough to let you find him." And Jin would leave it at that. From what he was saying and the information Aeila was giving him if the light boy still didn't understand there was not hope for him as a rogue. Jin did chuckle at Aeila's words though, it was rare for her to speak this much at all. Jin had yet to get her to use this many words in one outing, maybe having Echo around was good for her in a weird way. It was giving her the practice she needed for her words and vocabulary. "We have a plan, just do as we do."
There was a moment when Aeila got a little angry with Echo though. She was very sensitive when it came to her family of wraiths, and it seemed Echo's presence was effecting that. She then went into a full sentence again talking about what may have gone wrong with Echo's parental issues. Jin could careless what happened in this guy's home or why he was the way he was. Surprisingly enough Aeila took the lead on this one, as if she already knew where to go. This surprised Jin a little, but his face never changed from his signature smirk he always had on his face. The necromancer was always full of surprises somehow, it seemed to never end. For a moment Aeila paused holding her head, making Jin wonder why but now was not the time. But after that pause she continued heading towards a regular looking wall, Jin was puzzled at first then realized that Aeila somehow knew of a secret entrance.
Jin kept his hands in his pockets the whole time, watching Aeila open the secret passage door. She told him this way would be less protected, and Jin grinned. "Indeed." Aeila had than smartly asked Echo if he had a map spell, and a that kinda spell would definitely come in handy. Jin's blue eyes quickly went to the light hunter and whispered. "Oh a fancy light map spell would definitely makes things easier." the rogue took his hands out his pockets and only if Echo had a map spell he would do what Aeila asked of him he pressed the fingers of both hands together and made a black box with grey stars on the outside using basic mana manipulation, it looked liked a combination of shadow and cosmic mana. The map should be made within the box to keep any light from leaking out, and the top part would be left open for them to see it.

❝My light [break]is brighter [break]than the sun!❞
[attr="class","echotemp] Without seemingly any delay the group would all agree that Echo could come and the three would continue onwards toward the capital. It was clear that neither of the two really wanted to allow Echo to come but telling him no would probably be more trouble than it was worth. Knowing Echo he would have reacted rather badly which would put the 3 rogues at opposite sides. Echo was not yet sure of J’s power status but he did know that A was a problem he didn’t want to deal with, he had been saying that since their very first meeting. Also such a scuffle would without doubt draw unwanted attention. [break][break] After Echo posed his question of why they believed power didn’t matter, the two rogues with him would seem rather annoyed in their response. Echo didn’t pay much of it any attention, however two things stood out to him. The first was how A somehow began to talk in almost full and complete sentences, the second was how the young girl seemed to know certain things about him that she most likely shouldn’t. His only guess was that the man he killed the night they met had told her some of the things he had heard from noble gossip circles. Echo would scoff after his business had been thrown into the streets saying “No I was never played… I may not have gotten into this line of work through traditional means, however my old employer brought me in because I have a skillset that mirrors the ones you two have.” [break][break] Echo would take a pause in his speech for a brief moment before speaking again saying “You two were raised to do this rogue stuff sure you can have that. I was raised to be tough, and kill shit… literally. So while you might find my methods less than desirable, my role in the criminal underworld is that of an enforcer so I have no need to be subtle. Also I have no daddy issues so whatever that pitiful noble told you is nothing but false chatter.” Echo took a second to think about his family for a moment before he would let out a sigh. He thought to himself *Shit I am getting kinda deep into this. I don’t know how long I’ll be able to….* [break][break] As he thought to himself another voice could be heard echoing throughout his mind, the voice would say to him *You don’t know how long you’ll be able to keep yourself and the dirt you’ve been doing from soiling the rest of your family? You don’t know how long you’ll be able to keep me partitioned off from the rest of your mind? Because if I get out of this box you put me in I promise you I will turn your body into the perfect vessel for evil… that’s what the Collector would have wanted… Im sure if you didn’t ruin your relationship with Velondra she would have wanted that too.* [break][break] Echo would shake his head to dismiss the sounds of Eclipse’s voice. Very low under his breathe he would say to himself “I just gotta focus and push him to the back of my mind. He won’t take me over… Outside of the mana zone he doesn’t have enough power…” Seemingly Echo would glance up after his small episode to see that the capital was within arms reach, something that made him smirk. As they walked to the archives suddenly A would take the lead as if she knew exactly where they were going. Echo was supposed to be just following their lead and so he did exactly that. The girl held her head as If she was in deep pain which had Echo confused but he simply stayed silent. [break][break] It was at this point where A seemingly lead the group to a hidden passageway that she somehow knew about. Echo was surely getting more confused as the time went on but he would just steadily sit silent, waiting for one of the two rogues to say they needed him for something. And that moment would soon come when A would look to Echo and ask him to use a map, to which J would say that it would make things easier. Echo let out a sigh before saying “Oh I guess I have something that makes me less loud? But of course if you thought more of me than just a loud liability you would know the Jaegars are a family of hunters, so something like a map is very ordinary for us… however since joining the criminal world I kinda stopped trying to use my sensory abilities as much so I won’t be making any grand scale maps or anything but here you go.” [break][break] Echo would then will his grimoire to come forth and float beside him, from the strap he had it tied to on his back. Once the closed book floated next to him, the book would open to the center before a ball of light would emerge and create a three dimensional map made of light. It was at this point where A asked J to use some type of spell to shroud the light that his map gave off. He would chuckle a bit before saying “See and this is part of the reason I never really cared about being subtle and not loud…” Echo would then wait for further instructions before doing anything else. He definitely didn’t wanna fail this job as he had a lot riding on its success.

Aelia remained quiet but fully aware of everything that was going on around her right down to sensing the frustration that was coming off Jin, she could completely understand it but she was as blank in regards to her emotions as normal, there of course were exceptions to that rule. She was starting to regret allowing him to come along as all he seemed to care about was the brawn and not the brains that were required to live in this world. Of course, strength was important but as she had pointed out there was different kinds of strength and not all of them were loud or obnoxious. There were indeed times where that approach was needed but it was scarce as it drew too much attention in one direction so such tactics needed to be used correctly, but currently, she was wondering how the red-headed mage was able to walk and breath at the same time.
Even known rogues walked on the very razor's edge of a dagger that would kill them if they didn't move in the correct manner, this was something that the younger rogue didn't seem to realize. Then again, how could he? He wasn't born into this world he had fallen into it without instruction and so was a threat to not only those he cared about but himself and anyone he worked with. It was honestly something that needed to be beaten out of him before he got himself or someone else killed. "Fine line... one move bad... dead..." she said simply her tone quite monotone as she spoke, it was that simple and if he couldn't understand that then he wasn't going to survive long in a world where everyone had a price and if it was met then you would have troubles.
That was before guards and magic knights, it was a difficult world to survive in let alone thrive in while not causing too many ripples and keeping yourself unknown to others within the same line of work. Hearing Jin speaking about Fredrick in such a negative way made the raven-haired necromancer glare at him with a killers intent but as quickly as it came it passed. Her family was a sore spot with her and she was protective of them "Fredrick not dumb!" she hissed in a whisper, she knew she couldn't make a scene but she was still irritated at both males and was ready to walk away from this task. There were two reasons she didn't, the first was she was trained to see any task she given to the end even if she was harmed due to it and the second was if she did she would most likely end up back home and she didn't want that.
She nodded when Jin said they had a plan, it wasn't one vocalized at the point but they knew how to follow the others lead without much speech so it was efficient. She stopped as she heard Echo speaking about how his skillset mirrored there's and shook her head showing no it didn't, she wondered how deluded he had to be to believe that they were the same. He was loud and sloppy while they were quiet and clean. It may have been true that he was trained to kill but killing a person was far different than killing a person. There were so many additional factors that if even one thing was off it meant that the task could end in failure or capture if not death and this was something that Echo didn't quite understand it would seem.
Humans for the most part were smart and would adapt quickly to any situation they were in and that made them far more dangerous than any animal or mana beast. The fact of the matter was, she, herself, wasn't raised to be anything but a mindless obedient tool for her father and brother and although Jin understood her within reason due to her mannerisms simulating some he saw in his own home even he had no idea what she went through so there was no way Echo could even begin to understand the pair. The fact that he believed an enforcer didn't need a similar skillset just proved that their skill sets were not alike, she had been used as an enforcer as she was growing and she had done her tasks without disturbing the world around her. To her, it wasn't all that hard but then this was her world.
"You pitiful, got caught." she said simply as she walked into the passageway heading towards the direction she felt familiar "Not care." she said flatly as he told her what his family were known as, the constant talking was slowing them down and with such a tight window, she no longer wanted to deal with it. She was trained to be efficient and this was anything but that currently, she turned her head and watched as the map and box for it was made before walking down the hall and stopping at a concealed door waiting to be told if they could proceed due to the coast being clear or if they would have to wait; if they had to wait she would remain silent and just listen to the noise from behind the hidden doorway on the other hand if it was clear she would open the door and take a left heading down a corridor only stopping if she heard a noise or if being told they needed to find a place to hide. If asked where the archives were she would point to a hidden room on the floor above them.

Jin Zhongli
This conversation had gone on long enough for Jin, he was done with it. At the end of the day Echo had been raised with his perspective on things and he had lived long enough to convince himself his way was foolproof. Jin could careless whether the Jaeger lived or died his annoyance had already peaked. If he didn't want to listen and understand logic or reason, that was on him. Jin had little patience for the ignorant, which Echo seemed to thrive in his own ignorance. But Echo did continue to say that his skillset that mirrors Aeila's and his own, and Jin wanted to break out in laughter but he stopped himself by covering his mouth. But the Jaeger didn't stop there, no that would be far to easy. He continued to blabber the most ridiculous utter nonsense that Jin had literally ever heard. And hearing the tone in Echo's voice he truly believed every word that came out of his mouth. Jin was holding himself back from laughing so hard, there was tears falling from his eyes.
When the light user was done, Jin had the biggest joyous smile on his face and he wiped the tears away. "Oh man. You sir, are truly something else. I need you to know that. Seriously. You are something else. But no. You don't mirror us at all." Jin said to Echo with a chuckle but it all came out in a very quiet whisper. The rogue waited for him to make his map of course it came after a small explanation of his background of Jaegers family and how they are hunters. Which was odd cause hunters normally couldn't be loud and obnoxious when hunting, or the prey would get away. So given his background round Echo shouldn't have this much trouble understanding there is a time and place for being loud and powerful. But Jin really didn't want to press any further, he just wanted to get this over with and move on.
Jin was caught off guard by Aeila's hiss at him regarding Fredrick, he was truly confused for a second before he finally but the dots together. "Ooohhh he was talking about Fredrick...I hadn't put that together...we just had a nice moment too." Jin said with a light chuckle referring to them finally deciding they were going to stick together. But now was not the time to dwell on that to much. Now that they had a map to pinpoint the locations of all nearby guards it was time to move, Aeila lead since she did know her way around somehow. She stopped right before entering a new room, waiting for the confirmation that she could. With Jin concealing Echo's light map, he waited till all the moving figures on the map in the next room had left before saying she could. "Go." After that they would make a left heading down a corridor, with no one around. Jin would ask his partner "Are we close?" to which she would respond to by point to a hidden room on the floor above.
The white haired rogue looked at the map as it signaled the location of large powerful being, signaling Aeila to make sure she took a look at the map as well before they headed up a winding staircase leading to another corridor. The door to the archives was visible but only a fool would rush in, as two guards were walking down the corridors. "Here." Jin said a quick whisper to Aeila and Echo just in case they did not notice. Using one of the nearby doors Jin slid in every so quietly not being seen or heard, given the distance between them and the guards the others would have more than enough time to slip in as well. Jin had completely shrouded the map in darkness so not even a bit of light was seen, once the guards walked past the corridor and down the stairs. They could make their move to the archives, quickly and quietly they made their way into the room. Quietly he whispered "Once we're in, find anything to do with the Diamond war and Kikka. Then we leave."
Jin had peaked in looking through the keyhole of the room, the being placed on Echoes map was actually a large Griffin mana beast. Jin had turned his head and placed one index finger on his lips the universal symbol for no talking and it was time to be very quiet. Jin opened the door slowly and let the two in, before closing it just as slowly not making a sound. A large and powerful mana beast was in the center of the room sleeping, if they woke this beast everything up to this point was lost. They would probably die right then and there, so waking it and fighting it was not an option. Jin turned to Aeila and simply nodded at her, no words needed to be spoken. All three of them knew what they were looking for, it was just time to find it without making a sound.
Quietly he crept looking for any information on the Diamond War, there had been some chatter with here and there about some knights falling short of the ideals they should live by. But nothing was ever certain about it, perhaps more information on that could be found here. It didn't take long but Jin did find a thick folder wrapped in ties with the picture of Zaven Blake on it. Being curious the rogue flipped through the pages and even his eyes widened at what he was reading. Multiple records of a Zaven Blake and Silas Vermillion and their war crimes, the lives of innocent civilians lost in order to set a tone that no sympathy for Diamond would be allowed. That one bit of info was probably all that was needed, but there was more like the cover ups of the Blake family smugglings illegal artifacts out of Clover to groups they should basically not being going too. All this was only in the first couple of pages, and there was more to read. There just wasn't anytime, it was time to leave.
Jin had looked towards the griffin making sure it was still sleeping. Even if Aeila and Echo found something or they didn't it was fine, he signaled them it was time to leave. Walking back towards the door he pressed his ear to it, hearing the footsteps of the two guards walking forward then turning around and walking back down the staircase. Once it was clear Jin opened the door slowly just like before, and signaled for the two to head to the same room they hid in before knowing Aeila would lead the way from there. He closed the door to the archives slowly and made his way back to that room, just before the guards made their way back upstairs. Once they were back at the front of the archive door and turned to face it the time to move was now. Heading back down the stairs the same way they came, whether Aeila was leading or not. Jin knew exactly the same path she showed them the first time going back to the same hidden doors and all, taking a peak at the map every now and then to make sure the coast was clear. Once they walked through the same hidden entrance, Jin had a large grin on his face holding the thick file he found.
Waiting until they were safe enough before finally speaking walking back to the Inn they were supposed to meet at. "That wasn't so hard was it? Mr. Enforcer of light." Jin said to Echo teasing him. "Or should it be The Light Enforcer? Echo Enforcer of the Light?" Jin continued as if he was seriously thinking of corny bad nicknames to call Echo. He then turned to Aeila and winked at her, she was probably still mad at him for the comments earlier. But it would be fine in time, like he saw all things. It will be fine in time.

❝My light [break]is brighter [break]than the sun!❞
[attr="class","echotemp] After Echo had made the map Jin would use a spell of some sort to shroud the light that the map made of light gave off. Such a display would make Echo more curious on just what magic the rogue had, but he surely wasn’t gonna press for information on such a thing. Right now his only concern was passing this test so he could make his way into this new group. The fact that he was already on thin ice wouldn’t help the matter. Jin and Aelia made it so very obvious that they didn’t enjoy Echo or his company through their words. Jin would say how Echo was something else, whatever that was truly supposed to mean. [break][break] Every time the two would talk to him since he had activated his map, he would remain silent not saying a word. He would instead simply look over the map just making sure that he wouldn’t follow them into getting caught. As Echo knew he was strong but this was the capital and he wasn’t trying to risk getting that kind of attention… not just yet anyway. However it would seem that this grand heist plan was working so far so good, all Echo had to do was maintain his map and follow the two ‘superior’ rogues. [break][break] After a bit of movement the group would make their way to a corridor where Jin would lead them into the archive by avoiding some guards, and sliding into a door. Once inside the archive the mission from here was clear, find some information. But Jin felt it was needed to restate such a simple task to which Echo silently just rolled his eyes. He would watch as Jin peaked into the archive through the keyhole on the door. After he did so and saw whatever he saw he would turn to Echo and Aelia and put his finger over his lips, in order to tell them no talking. Echo watched as Jin would then open the door and let the two in with him. As Echo walked in he would begin to look around the room and the first thing he seen was the huge mana beast within the center sleeping. [break][break] The sight of the creature wasn’t too alarming, especially to a hunter however the fact the capital used it as a guard was a bit surprising. However Echo didn’t focus much on that, he simply focused on the task at hand and looked around to try and find some information. It wouldn’t be too long before Jin would find a very thick folder and would begin to examine it. Echo took notice of this and would seemingly stop his search as he stared at the folder from several feet away. Going off the body language Jin gave off this was seemingly exactly what they needed. [break][break] Within a few moments Jin would signal to them that it was time to go, as he would make his way towards the door to leave. Echo would watch as Jin pressed his ear to the door before opening it and heading out, and Echo would simply follow as he had been. Once out of the archive and away from the huge griffin the group would follow the path they had taken in to get back out. As they made their way out Echo would be thinking to himself *Hmm maybe being the leader all the time aint so bad… if I can just follow someone around and not do much that would be great.* he let off a bit off a grin as he thought this. [break][break] Once they had walked back through the initial secret entrance, they would start walking back to the meeting place. Echo would deactivate his map spell at this point right before Jin would ask was that so hard, and giving Echo a nickname of Enforcer of Light. Echo would make a angry look on his face before saying “Alright enough fun and games, we are finished the task so I no longer feel the need to sit silent to the foolishness. Lets just stay silent and get this back to where we need to be.” Echo would then cross his arms as he would continue to walk. [break][break] In truth Echo felt pretty good right now, as he knew with this information he was one step closer to being able to exact his revenge. [break][break] [Exit]

Aelia had remained entirely quiet as Jin spoke, she had said her piece and if the red-headed didn't want to heed the words of those more experienced in the world he now found himself apart from then his fate was on him. She wasn't the brightest flame given her current limitations but when it came to her line of work she was as sharp as any razor-edged dagger. People in this profession came from all walks of life and all had their own motives which could swiftly change like the wind, such was the way of their world. It was a lesson each and every one of them had had to learn and often a harsh one, one that Echo had yet to experience and she hoped when he did it wouldn't end his life; although if it did she hoped to be there so he could live on in a manner of speaking.
Aelia had already found out a little about the nobles from Fredrick and others within her graveyard, she wasn't being overwhelmed with a lot of information in each but she knew the name and some aspects of them. Echo merely clarified that he came from a family of hunters who specialized in sensory "Though hunter know better than flash and bang or scare prey away." she said calmly, she shook her head unable to believe he was from such a family but then again there were odd ducks in every pond or so she had been told. Silently sighing she turned her eyes towards Jin who gave the nod after a moment to indicate it was safe to leave the corridor. Doing so she moved quickly down the hall, even as she ran she strangely made no noise, her eyes now and then going to the map before quickly sliding into the room without missing a beat after Jin.
It may have taken a moment for Jin to understand why the raven-haired necromancer hissed, he knew she was protective of those within her graveyard viewing them as her family. When he realized it was Fredrick he quickly apologised even saying they just had a nice moment recently. She couldn't argue that they had but if he kept talking about those she cared for then there was going to be an issue between the pair and that could have some nasty fallout given how they were similar in their skill set. They would make sure that it would never do it in a place where they would be seen, they were too careful to make such rookie mistakes. She often wondered if she did become part of her graveyard by his hand would it be so bad.
She shook her head getting the thought out of her head, without her those within her graveyard would be lost and this was just something that she couldn't afford to do. She treasured them too much to be selfish and so would continue in her own chosen path. Looking at the map she looked at her partner as he said go and ran once more as she was asked if they were near she pointed to a room to indicate that was where they were heading. She followed Jin to their destination knowing the information that he was given but she guessed that was more for Echo's benefit as he didn't really seem like he could be quiet even if his life depended on it. She noticed that he rolled his eyes as Jin said to remain quiet and entered the archives but what was meeting them in the centre of the room made her eyes go wide in surprise.
She touched the void box that held the map and walked outside the door knowing if that thing felt any magic it would likely wake up. She kept an eye on the map to make sure the guards were out of the way and moved into a nearby room only if she believed they would get too close which luckily they didn't. Her eyes darted inside the room to the two men as they checked the shelves for information, they would need to be incredibly lucky it was such a tight window and there was a lot of information, a lot of it likely useless for the task at hand. It would seem whatever gods holy or otherwise was on their side and Jin found some information by the expression he gave. With that, he and Echo quickly moved out of the room and they moved back the way they did.
When they left the passageway she made sure to close it so it didn't look like it had been altered or tampered with while Jin made some jokes at Echo's expense. She didn't understand it and it showed on her face but it seemed as if the red-headed hunter was anything but amused by the stark haired rogue's antics. After a few minutes, they headed back towards their starting destination, if they were lucky they would make it a few hours before dawn which suited her just fine as then she didn't need to worry about the light hurting her eyes too badly. It was the one weakness she had, the one thing that she would have to overcome but it wasn't as if there was a magic wand to do such a thing. Even if she looked comfortable without her veil, it couldn't be further from the truth, she was in agonising pain but she hid it now until she could no longer bear it and remained in the dark with her veiled hat on once more much to Jin's chagrin but it wasn't like she could change it, she had tried.
